Feng takes a moment to sit down on a nearby chair to catch her breath.Putting her face into her palms as she plans for the coming days after this.
How could they describe this entire protocol without missing a single beat. But one could chum it up to the fact that they are so used to this sort of things that saying that is prolly said often. Feng was way ahead of her in terms of collecting herself as quietly thought about the night she had and what lessons that can be taken from it.
First off: don't use your quirk outside of the job because that gets you in trouble which she did not take to heart until earlier. Despite being a time saver, it does show the level of non chalantness if one uses their quirk regularly. Second lesson is be careful of one's environment because a large number of factors will screw you over in any given time and it could lead to serious injuries. A plan will never work as it seems so adapt accordingly is something that was heeded and came in handy in that same moment. Third lesson is paying attention to surroundings at all times which was done but she still was caught off guard. Albeit one cold chum it up to not seeing that coming but perhaps there were more clues if she looked hard enough. Fourth lesson is mostly dealing with a situation in an appropriate manner. Her pushing the hostages out of the way and engaging the criminal, smart. Her yelling at one of the suspects for yelling in front of people, not smart. Gotta take some classes to fix that issue.
Overall Feng feels like she could have done better but she did her best and she was the least injured out of the three of them. She can improve for the future but by god that was a night. She came to UA to becoming the High Flying Hero she always pictured herself being. However rescue work is a lot more intensive than she initially thought. A field she can prolly do well in if she puts her heart into it, but she wonders how she would do in other fields. A valuable learning experience thus far considering everything.
But one fact remains certain right now she needs some rest because the work after is going to be a pain. She saw Yumi do the same in the distance, which helps that she is just as shaken as she is about this night. As she went up to Yellow Jacket to thank her, Feng would come up and do the same.
“Thank you for being our Mentor Yellow Jacket. This has been a valuable experience for us. “
She said honestly as told her mentor.
“...and to change my response from the start of this. The best use of my energy is to solve the issue as quickly as possible. So I can save as much as I can… See you both later...”
She told her as she exhaled and departed to the dorms for some well earned rest.
