The visceral reaction from the criminal in the cop car caught Feng by surprise. She was making sure the hostages were being cared for when that outburst happened. As it was a brief, she could only take in so much information. ‘Kotone’ was mentioned but what does that mean? What caused such a reaction and what is their relationship to this incident. One can chalk it up to a case of revenge with the students being the center and everyone else here is collateral. But without sufficient evidence on that, it could just a desperate outburst to trick us into thinking that we haven't caught the criminal.
Questions pile on with more questions and it's becoming confusing as to what actually transpired here. While she was deep in thought, Angel was given the phone. She continued to ponder the cause of all this because from what she remembers in various incidents like this, the usual motive would be a grudge of sorts and one party just wanted revenge. But then if it was revenge then why even leave them alive when you could have killed them and then moved on. She just took a deep breath and wanted to speak her mind freely due to the circles of thought her mind was going in.
“Yellow Jacket pardon my language and actions for a moment…” She politely told her mentor as she went near the cop car where the criminal was shaking and yelling.” HOW ABOUT YOU SHUT UP AND TELL US WHY ARE YOU YELLING ABOUT OR DO YOU WANT TO BE LIKE YOUR FRIEND? ”She yelled at the criminal as her eyes began to glow bright yellow as she glared at the criminal. If the criminals glare would kill the man in Angels arms then hers would end the criminals life ten times over. Courtesy of her mother's looks and her fathers hot-blooded attitude. Patience wasn't her best suit and god damn it didn't feel good to do in front of everyone. But she felt satisfied in doing so and that was mattered to her in the end of that. Feng then finally regains her composure as she takes a deep breath and asks Hachi, “Should we bring down Lightning and the criminal before anything else happens? Because I get the feeling they're not gonna talk at the moment and that should be handled by the police…” The criminals intentions were not clear and she hoped Yumi got something at least since the accomplice is less than cooperative. She goes with female officer as she was going into the building so she can help bring down the suspect into custody.

But remember from here on in, History has its eyes on you. Hachi frowned--well, her small mouth turned downward but it was hard to see--at Angel's lack of an answer, as well as Feng's immediate response to the criminal's outburst. She reached out a claw and placed it, firmly, on Feng's shoulder. "That is enough. Is that the sort of example you want to set for heroes? Screaming like children? Stop that at once, and hand me the phone."
She didn't have too long to consider what the meaning of the criminal's outburst was, nor take a good look at the man as he was set to sit on the back of one of the ambulances, because Angel had moved from her side to walk over to the cop car. Hachi's body tensed. "AN--"
The moment Angel touched the criminal's skin, she felt a sudden, piercing pain, like a blade had stabbed right through her finger...because that was precisely what happened. The criminal did not move, did not even shift her gaze from the man even as Feng rebuked her, but the spot Angel touched was no longer simple skin. A trio of threads, razor sharp and pointed needle-sharp, had grown from her flesh and pierced right through Angel's finger and nail the moment they had met them.
Hachi swore so quietly the mic couldn't have picked it up, and at once she was at Angel's side, holding the girl's wrist as she yanked her backwards and away.
"Do NOT touch her," she spoke in a low, furious whisper, "What in God's name were you thinking. You can see my own injuries, why would you even think that going near the villain that inflicted them was a good idea? Let alone one we have confined at a safe distance?! Take your injury to the closest EMT before it gets infected."
At least Angel had felt that the villain in the car had warm, soft, human skin, before she'd been impaled.
The male hostage flinched again, and lowered his eyes to the ground. His lips were twitching again, like he was trying to speak, but he was still barely capable of it or any other function. He was forcing the words out.
".........d...id n...o....t.....wan...t.......h-he...her...to..."
The villain stared coldly back, unable to hear him.
Hachi released Angel and hovered back to Feng's side. Her anger, born more of worry and panic than actually being mad, still beat in her chest in a frantic staccato. She was fast, but the speed at which that criminal's spines could be grown were equally fast. At least she had not shot them out at Angel as she had at Hachi, or the girl could have been struck somewhere worse than her fingertip. Hachi brushed her cl aw over a line of cuts on her shoulder where she'd been nicked. "...now, Typhoon Dragoon, I would strictly recommend you do not accompany the police in retrieving the villain. They will move once the hostages have been stabilized and removed from the scene. Given that one's reaction to," she looked at the man on the back of the ambulance, "This one in particular, it feels like bringing the other down when she is not nearly as confined as the other would be a mistake. Give me the phone, please. Let's see if either he or the police are able to activate it."
--
Yumi got a raised brow as she admitted to choosing her words poorly, the skepticism not leaving the villain's face despite her promise to be more careful. In the end it was a very small gesture but perhaps it would help.
The villain drew in a small breath.
As she exhaled, her pure white eyes grew glossy, and her head bowed down, staring not at Yumi but at the concrete below them. The cafe was still absolutely trashed, and the torn remains of the Triple-P's lace were scattered around. She closed her eyes and shook her head. "That...do you...mean any of that...? That you'd punish him for us...? Is that even possible? We--..." Her voice grew quieter and quieter, "...when we went to the police, they told us they couldn't do anything..."
There was silence for a moment.
Then she started to speak, voiced hushed and raw, like it was escaping her lungs before she had time to think.
"He's the reason she's dead. Kotone. My sister. Our big sister. Shoda Arinori. That's his name, the bastard. He and our sister were...they were together for a long time, but he kept abusing her Quirk. He used it to feel good. It was draining her. She looked so weak when we last saw her with him that we went to the police. We knew something was wrong. But they said...said unless he was hurting her physically, that there was nothing they could do unless she called it in. God fucking dammit, we tried! We tried to stop this before it got to this point, but nobody did anything! And now she's fucking dead!! Because that son of a bitch took control of her life, and drove her insane, and she--she--she th-threw...her--herself....." A small sob.
The villain was crying. Streams of tears tinted purple by the glow of her irises ran down her face, hitting the ornamental torn fabric around her knees. Words tried to keep coming, but they were buried under shaking breathes and stifled sobs. She curled up into the chair.
"...w-w...we were going to do the same to him. Catch him here where his aunt w-works...drag him to the roof, and do the same to him that he drove Kotone to..." she shook her head, still shaking with sobs, "But I f-felt my trip wire get snapped...I...I tried to hide...if I got away, Kamei-nee could still have grabbed him before the c-cops got up here and...d-done it...whu...where..."
She looked up, eyes suddenly wide again, panic making the whites of her eyes so much larger and her little purple irises so much smaller. "Where is Kamei-nee...? Was she caught? Is she hurt? She--she was on the..."

O kay that was not one of Angel's smartest moves! As the threads pierced through her finger and finger nail the young winged woman bit back a scream of pain as she was quickly scolded by Yellow Jacket for her stupid move and then ordered to get seen to by the EMT's. Angel wanted to argue with her mentor that she was just trying to make sure the bad guy was real, but in fairness she could have done so differently. As Yellow Jacket scolded Typhoon Dragoon and commanded to see the phone Angel walked up to her mentor and handed her the phone. "I apologize for my rookie mistake Ma'am I just wanted to make sure the bad guy was real considering the nature of the girl I helped fights quirk. I didn't take into account that the two might have the same quirk. I won't make such a rookie mistake in the future."Angel then walked over to the EMT as ordered and sat down to get her finger patched up. As she was patched up she listened to Yellow Jacket tell Typhoon Dragoon that it would be a bad idea for her to accompany the police when they went to fetch the other bad guy and that they would go get him once the civilians were stable and escorted away. That was a wise idea considering the rather verbally explosive reaction that the bad guy that their mentor had taken down had toward the civilian with throat damage. Angel noticing that the man was still trying to speak she had a bright idea! Why hadn't she thought of it before! She quickly turned her head toward the man since she was sitting by him to get her finger fixed. "Hey sir, Do you know sign language? It might help us communicate and get us some much needed answers while the police unlock the phone. What do you say? Wanna give it a go?"

Yumi was calm, and she just tried to listen. The story of her friend or…sister? Yumi was a little unsure, but either way, the story of them being driven to suicide definitely made her tense, but she did her own best to just…be an ear for this moment. Realizing what had sparked the revenge made her options limited. Even if there was some lawful way to pursue this, Japanese culture…maybe it had changed in the last 60 years, but it tended to frown more on the act of suicide than those who drove someone to it, and even if laws were in place to punish those who brought someone to this point, they were hardly going to be comparable to a life lost.
Yumi didn’t say anything till the girl was entirely finished, and as she started to ask about her partner in crime, Yumi finished her sentence with “The roof? Us three are just interns…we go to UA. The Hero who was looking after us said she had spotted someone on the roof. She’s a professional, so I can’t see her causing any more harm then…” She sighed through her nose. “Necessary…speaking of which…”
She stood up, they were in a maid café afterall, or heck even the cosplay store if they’d ended up staying there. Yumi carefully moved about, spotting a first aid kit on one of the walls and returing to the criminal that they’d apprehended. She’d carefully lift her sleeves, still bound behind her back, and pull out pieces of the first aid kit to start working on the damage likely done to the girls arms, given they were the first point that would have been met by Yumi’s own shocking attacks. She wasn’t a pro in first aid work by any means, but it’d definitely make sure the damage wasn’t going to leave any permanent effects. “Hope you don’t mind…it’s 50-50 if they’ll even give you medical treatment before they lock you in the back of a police car so…better now than never huh?”
She knew a light joke or comment wouldn’t ease the tension much, and as she continued treating the girl’s wounds, she’d start to speak. “I…I really don’t know what I can do. I’ll tell Yellow Jacket and…maybe something can be done, but I really don’t know. I can’t pursue the vengeance you were looking for, but I think that’s obvious…”
A thought occurred to her…but she was smart enough not to voice it. But she buried it down for a moment, locking it away. She’d grab it later and just…contemplate it, but for this moment she needed to be rational and careful.
“Could you…tell me about your sister?” She’d ask, carefully rubbing some burn lotion over the girl’s wounds before wrapping a layer of bandages over them. “Before she met Shoda. She must have been amazing for it to drive you this far.” It wasn’t a great topic, but it was hopefully something that’d bring better results than delving into worry and rage, and as always, Yumi was no expert here. No lesson could really prepare you for this.

Feng took a deep breath and heeded Yellow Jackets advice. Not saying a word in response to reflect on her outburst. However, her brief moment of reflection has been interrupted by the sudden retaliation of the captured criminal as Angel carelessly overstepped her boundaries. It was only for a moment but she can understand how Yellow Jacket ended up in her current condition. But their motifs remained unclear as the group needed to unlock the phone to get some clue as to why they did all this since they know jack squat about the reasons.
Luckily it wasn't anything too bad and Angel immediately went to the EMT to get it patched up. Though it does beckon the question as to why the animosity towards the man in particular. She has a few guesses as to why they did it but they're all guesses by the end of it. Maybe it was for money and they were hired to do this but why this area and why not somewhere more crowded? Possibility of revenge and this was a more personal attack than anything else and the people caught alongside them were only in the wrong place at the wrong time. But with her mind in a jumble, she will have to look to Yellow Jacket for advice on the matter since this is the sort of situation that was both new to her and has zero clue on where to begin piecing together the story. She hopes Yumi is doing better than she is since this is the worst area Fengs in. She handed the phone to Yellow Jacket and simply asked in a worried tone,
“Yellow Jacket...how do you deal with cases like this…?”, She said as she puts her hand on her chin. Trying her best to think of the best words to say in the aftermath of this. Fighting and rescue is the easy part but the aftercare is the hardest part about this job. How does one help normal people about this. What is going to happen once the truth comes to light about this situation, because something in her gut is telling her that everything is not what it seems. But the only thing left to do is to go through the phone and find evidence to confirm or calm done the feeling in her gut.

But remember from here on in, History has its eyes on you. The man shook his head in response to Angel's query, and Hachi handed the phone over to a police officer with the simple instruction to crack it so they could see whom it belonged to and what information they could obtain. Hachi returned to Feng, sparing a glance at Angel and the villain in the car--she was back to dead silence, though her apathetic staring at the seat in front of her was replaced with glaring venom at the male hostage talking to Angel. She sighed quietly. From the outside this looked like an obvious attempt at revenge over something. Somebody, more accurately. But even with more information, even with details on why they had done what they had, what was done was done.
"There's very little we can do. These women acted in a way that put the lives of others in danger, and attempted to kill another person. Regardless of their motives or the history behind it they will be taken to the station, held there until they are given a fair trial, and sentenced to spend a yet undetermined time in prison. We cannot help them at this point, if we ever could at all." Hachi returned her gaze to Feng's own. There wasn't a trace of sorrow or sympathy in her expression, because there never was a trace of anything in her expression. "Sometimes this is all you can accomplish."
After a few moments more, the EMTs had finished with prepping the hostages for travel, stabilizing the worst of their injuries. An EMT operative helped the girl into the back of the vehicle with her friend inside and was off, sirens blasting as it went, toward Tokyo Hospital. The middle-aged woman was being loaded in next, and the man looked up and watched her go with wide, worried eyes, brow knit tight together. He looked up at Angel again and pointed as they loaded the woman inside.
"...o.....obb...a...san...I...r....id...e...?"
--
"...so she's not...y-you're...just an intern?" The villain was quiet, shoulders still shaking and tears still wet on her cheeks, but she looked a little stunned at Yumi's admission that she was just a student. She looked back down at her knees, a wry, gasping chuckle almost coming from her. "...then you're n-not much younger th-than...we are...man, I g...got beaten up by kids..."
She was quiet once more as she listened to Yumi speak. What little comfort her words could provide didn't stop her tears, but her stance softened little by little. She didn't resist being treated, but she wasn't smiling or appearing grateful. At her final comment she only shook her head. "Kotone was amazing. Is...was. She was the sort of person who never ran out of good feelings, even when it was miserable out there. She was just so kind. And...and she got stepped on a lot, for what her Quirk could do..." A shaking inhale. "She could share those feelings with people. Kamei-nee's and I's Quirks...we just hurt people. She's sharp like a porcupine and I'm like piano wire. Nothing we do is..."
"...she could wrap a thread around her finger, and around another's, and share those good feelings. She did it whenever we were hurt or sad growing up, and she said she never ran out, but...but everyone does, you know...? She just never said no when we asked, and I thought it was because we were kids then, but..."
"...but she was just the same with that bastard...she only ever did good for him, and...and even though we didn't see her as much, 'cause she didn't live at home, she just looked worse and worse whenever we did..."
The villain closed her eyes tight, like she was shutting out an image of something she couldn't bare to look at.
"...last time we s-saw her, was before we went to the c-cops...she just...she looked so bad, like she wasn't even taking care of herself anymore...God, that bastard, I don't think he cared about her outside of her Quirk..."
--
With the majority of the hostages gone, and the last two about to be sent away, the police gathered at the door to the building and prepared to enter to retrieve the other villain. Hachi looked over at them while speaking to Feng and Angel, voice soft. "If you two wish you may go in with them to see how they handle arresting Quirkers with dangerous abilities. If not, once they have placed them in the car and are off to the station, you may be dismissed for tonight, but you three will likely be asked for a testimony tomorrow."

(sorry I know it’s angel’s turn, just made this post at work and wanted to put it up while I can so it’s not lost, didn’t think it’d be a big issue since angel’s post can’t interact with mine anyway, but will repost after her when I get home if need be.)
Yumi winced a little as the other girl seemed a little…defeated, more so than she already was when she found out that Yumi and her team were younger then them. Yumi was never good at making initial judgements based on appearance on the elements of race, ethnicicty, age, etc, par of course, the obvious extremes of any scale, so she hadn’t even realized she was too much younger than the woman before her. Afterall if their older sister worked here or something from what she was gathering it seemed a place that tended to handle part time students or the like, be it the cosplay store or the café across.
“Well er…I mean. We’re heavily trained kids who’ve been practicing for the past year and a half to specifically handle our quirks in a combat environment…and there were three of us and er…your sister was handled by a professional adult?” She held a somewhat awkward expression. It wasn’t exactly a priority but she didn’t want the fact she was beaten by kids to be an extra downer on this shitty day, given her reasons for doing what she did. “I mean…does it help any more knowing I’m one of the top in my classes?”
Probably not.
As she went on to describe how he quirk and her sisters, the spikey one, just hurt people and such, Yumi couldn’t hold back a weak scoff sound through her nose, hanging her head and shaking it. She didn’t say why yet, but for this moment she was tugging at the back of the glove on her costume. It looked like the sleeve flowed directly into it but as Yumi was showing it seemed she could peel the glove away from the sleeve given a bit of effort fighting the magnetized fabrics.
Hearing more about the lost sister though, she could see more of the bigger picture of how this all went down, sighing softly through her nose and shaking her head. There wasn’t much she could do…it just sounded like a horrible situation of someone giving too much and what could she really say at the end of the day? She didn’t know her and no words could cover up such a loss…she ended up mumbling out “That sounds like a pretty beautiful quirk…” Before rubbing the back of her neck with her bare now bare hand.
“I…I’m not gonna pretend there’s much I can say here. I didn’t know her but…I can see the weight she had on you…people are still adjusting to quirks so…maybe there’ll…be something. Some law. That’ll help justice be served for abusing her like that but…” She hung her head a little. “I…god a heroes meant to give people hope and I don’t even feel like I can do that right now…heh.”
She shook her head and lifted it up, standing from where she’d started sitting to treat the girl, and carefully trying to ease her up to her feet, trying to center herself, and taking a more serious, but gentle tone.
“I’m gonna level with you here now. I don’t think we’ve got much time left before the cops come, but I’ll do what I can. Now, and when this case gets handled officially to see what I can do okay? Odds are…you’re going away. Maybe for a short while, maybe longer but…I think you knew that going in yeah?” She’d share a look with the girl if she could, hoping she at least understood the consequences of the actions she tried to take, whether she’d succeeded or not.
“But…when you get out, maybe things’ll be a bit better. I mean…you say your quirks dangerous but you control threads right? Think that’d be pretty amazing if they let you use it as a tailor or something…I mean-“
She extended her bare hand, and activated her quirk. Her quirk covered her body, a nearly harmless blue layer that charged the air around her making it feel thicker and tense, but for her hand, now uncovered, far less controlled streams arced off her hand, reaching to the floor below it, one or two even jolting forward, hitting the metal leg of a chair or two from the café (or a metal display rack if they never moved on from the cosplay store).
Yumi did wince a little as the cuts along her hand burned and stung from the use of her own quirk, but she tried to bite at her lip on the opposing side of her face to not let the other girl see the light pain it was putting her through after her threads had cut into her.
“..My quirks plenty dangerous as you can see.” She pulled her hand back and closed her fist as her quirk stopped, putting her glove back on. “But…that doesn’t mean that’s all I’m good for. I mean, I ain’t about to praise you for all…” She gestured about. “This but…at the same time, you’ve clearly got something you can do with it. I won’t pretend you would find it easy being a hero after today but…every little ‘quirk’, super human or not, has it’s place…” she tried a bit of dark humor as she added. “Even if…in the case of that horrible guy, his personality quirks belong somewhere like jail…”
She was sure she could hear footsteps climbing the stairs, or maybe the shifting of the elevator by now, and so she asked. “…I’m probably gonna get pulled away from you while someone else takes over but…maybe it’s just me being a naïve, stupid intern..but I’ll try and keep an eye on things for you okay? I mean…it’s my first case, so I doubt it’d be hard to keep an eye on it as it develops…and as I said, for better or worse, maybe we can get some punishment for that guy too…” Her voice dipped a little at the end, not holding much hope in it…she didn’t expect a ‘thank you’ or any sensation of hope from the other girl..but from feeling her quirk was dangerous, to her motives, to…someone pumping out nothing but good even when they ached inside…
She found it hard not to relate…maybe not exactly the same but…she wondered how hard it would have been for her to end up in the same situation if she hadn’t gone to UA.

A ngel listened silently as Feng asked their mentor how she handled hostage cases and to her mentor's response of no matter the reasons the two villain girls had put innocent lives at risk by seeking revenge and they would be tried as such despite their age and that even as heroes they couldn't help them now if they ever could at all. Upon hearing this Angel placed the tips of her right hand fingers to the metal collar around her neck and drifted into thought of how without the positive influences she had around her like her mom and aunt she could have ended up just like the two women being arrested because of lust for revenge against her father for what he did to her and her mom. It was like a dark mirror that she didn't want to look in for too long. "Either die the hero or live long enough to see yourself become the bad guy."Angel was brought out of her self reflection as the hostage she was sitting next to began to try and speak once more asking in his hurt and shaky voice If he could ride in the ambulance with his aunt on their way to the hospital. He wanted to be with his family and as a hero how could she deny him that? Angel just nodded at the young man and gently picked him up once more and carried him over to the ambulance that his aunt was being loaded into. Once she reached the EMT's Angel very softly sat the man down on one of the gurnies. She then looked at one of the working EMT's. "These two are aunt and nephew and he wants to ride with her. Considering the traumatic ordeal they both went through I believe it would be beneficial to allow them to stay together."Angel then crossed her arms for a moment and gave one of the EMT's a stern look to try and get her point across. Angel's gaze then softened as she looked down at the man giving him a warm smile. "Take care of each other and try and get some rest and you'll feel better in no time."Angel then moved one of her wings in front of her where she then plucked out a large pink feather and sat in the man's hand before resting her wing back flat against her back and waved farewell to the man before walking back over to her mentor as she said that if they wanted Angel and Feng could go with the police to watch them apprehend the dangerous quirker so they could see how they did it. If they didn't want to they could wait for them to be carted off and then head home for the night. "If it's alright my mentor I'd like to go with the cops. I don't like the idea of C.L. being alone with the bad guy no matter how powerful she is. That big blast most likely took a lot out of her and we don't know if the villian might try to escape."Angel then bowed to her mentor before walking over to the police. "Would you like to lead or shall I take point officers?"

Feng looked on as the EMT took the hostages away, worrying about the two girls who were caught up in this. A part of her wanted to go with them to reassure them it was alright but she still has a job to do. Never liked hospitals and what they entail and their parents must be worried sick about them.Hachi’s words weighed heavily on her but she will just have to learn to deal with it. Revenge against someone who did you wrong is a twisted road one must walk depending on one's goals. Feng knows the feeling very much show when she was a child before she took up martial arts. But taking a life for revenge is a rather shifty road and an endless debates on morality and what so on. Incidents like this happen on a daily basis and getting hung up on one isn't going to help anyone.
But she took a deep breath to refocus on the task at hand. As her mentor came up to her, she came to her own decision on whether or not she wants to bring the criminal in.
“Yellow Jacket I’ll go....I need to see this to the end. I won't be able to rest until I bring them in and see her in handcuffs.” Feng told her with a resolved tone in her voice. Angel has already readied herself to go in with the officers, Feng soon follows.”The sooner we bring them in, the better…” she says to herself as readies herself for anything. The villain's quirk is strong and those wires are still around and ruling out Yumi and herself, the others are going to be in danger if they aren't ready. She follows the officers as they go in. How will the criminal she fought react, what has Yumi learned from the villain, how old is the criminal, and a plethora of questions start filling her mind. In the end, she wants to see who the suspect really is with her own eyes.

But remember from here on in, History has its eyes on you. The villain actually snorted, though it was followed by a trembling breath. "...not sure if that helps. Are you g-getting graded for bringing us in? That's...that's fucked up, I ain't gonna lie." She shook her head, eyes still closed shut and head lowered. "Heroes...I don't even know how to feel 'bout them. It just sounds like a fancy way of saying 'quirker cop' without the 'cop' part."
Her eyes opened and she slowly, still heavily unsure, looked up at Yumi as she spoke. So much went through her features--raw and clear as they were to be seen--from confusion to concern to anger to...hope. What each of those were tied to wasn't expressly clear except for the last. She blinked more tears from her eyes. Yumi's demonstration of her own power was met with a faint wince, like she were recalling just what feeling those sparks at full strength felt like, but there was still a sheen in her eyes that didn't fade away. Perhaps it was seeing somebody with a "dangerous" and "harmful" quirk using it for good, or her promise that she would keep an eye on their case, and maybe, just maybe, do something to do what they couldn't. Maybe. Maybe.
She exhaled slowly, then, with a heavy nod, went slack in the chair. "If you can get anything, even just...just something, anything, on him, I...we'd be...I don't even know. Please. More than us getting out faster or any other bullshit like that, just..." She went silent and took a glance in the direction of the stair well, eyes going wide. "...m-...my trip wire on the first floor went off."
Yumi could hear it, too, as footsteps got louder, and a voice in her headset--Yellow Jacket's--alerted her that the police were heading up now to retrieve the villain.
The girl met Yumi's eyes again, all other emotions replaced with panic. "I...I don't...! I don't wanna go be the same as th-those murderers and monsters! M-My sister and I--we aren't villains! We aren't villains! We, we did something awful, we wanted to do worse, but we're not...we're not evil, right? We're not evil!! Just...please, don't let him get away with what he did!"
--
The man couldn't quite manage a proper smile, but it looked like he was trying to force it through whatever pain was still in his system as Angel helped him toward the ambulance. Once he was inside he put his hand on his aunt's arm, eyes full of worry...and guilt, clear as day. The EMT nodded at Angel. "Thank you, hero. We'll make sure both of them get to the hospital safely."
He took the feather with a faint look of surprise before, clutching it to his chest, the doors to the ambulance closed and was off. With the last of the hostages gone, the police gathered around the door, waiting for Hachi to tell them whether or not she and the other "heroes" were coming with them. She looked between Angel and Feng. She couldn't show on her expression the mix of pain and pride she felt for all three of them, but for once, maybe that was for the better. She gave them a nod. "Alright. Go ahead. Curved Lightning," she clicked the microphone in her helmet on, "Hostages have been cleared from the grounds and police are coming in to collect the villain. Stand by to transfer custody to them, then return with Angel of Mercy and Typhoon Dragoon to Akihabara station, and return to UA campus. I will be on the scene a while longer."
The officer at the front, apparently the one in charge, was a woman with long blonde hair kept in a tight bun at the nape of her neck. She met Angel with a long-suffering stare of a person that has never once slept the recommended amount of time, but she wasn't wired with stress. She was taking her question seriously. "I will be in the front. Should the villain be hostile, we have means of subduing them, but will rely on you to act first as you're familiar with their abilities. Stay close. We'll be taking the stairs up to the sixth floor."
Hachi turned away and drew in a slow breath.
This had not gone as planned, but...still. This was one way to test the caliber and strength of her new interns.
--
The police made quick work of the stairs, moving as a unit, accustomed to these things if not from experience than by practice. The woman at the front would occasionally tell officers to split off and check the other levels for any remaining civilians before moving on, until, finally, they were at the sixth floor. She nodded to both heroes, then, with a hand on a still unsheathed taser at her belt, she pushed open the door. "Go yo! Stand back, hero Curved Lighting, we will handle the villain from here." She approached the chair the villain was still cuffed in, taking a moment to look at how it had been accomplished. "...unorthodox handcuffs."
The criminal looked between the police, Feng and Angel, and Yumi one more time, eyes wide and wet. There was a shift, for hardly a second, of her hands behind her back, and a glimmer of purple light at the nape of her neck...but then it faded and she looked down, away from the officers and heroes, gone silent.
Without the quirk, without the wires and lightning and power, she was just a girl, arms lined with fading bruises--at a closer distance, they were more like dozens of small pin-pricks, so clustered together they looked like bruises--hardly older than the three of them.
The police woman finished looking over the restraints, giving Yumi a firm nod. "Thank you for your service."

“Eh…pretty much I Guess.” She admitted in defeat, though specifically at the idea of them being treated like quirker cops, though lacking a more ‘cop’ aspect to them. “We’re training to basically be law enforcement with super powers. There’s paper work involved, laws we abide to. Lethal force can’t be used, we’re trained in rescue operations…picture superman, except it’s drilled in us for 3 years straight how to make sure we don’t just make disasters worse.” She gave a weak smile and rubbed her neck. “In regards to being graded…I dunno. We’re really just meant to have observed today and given non-direct support. This was er…very off book to say the least…”
As the girl tried to enforce that she just needed something to be done. Yumi’s hand twitched a little…she wanted to reach out and just hold her hand and reassure her, but that wouldn’t be appropriate, especially if the officers could be through the door any moment. She could see the dread in her face, or at least what she assumed to be dread, as the officers were approaching up the stairs, and she wanted to reassure her but…
She bit her tongue. A mental ‘fuck it’ pulsing through her head.
She lowered to one knee so she was looking up at the girl in the chair rather than forcing her to lift her head. “I…I promise. Even if it is the…smallest amount of justice available…I’ll do something. I…I’m just a student. So I can’t promise much, but I promise that.” She’d reach up and hopefully, reassure her just a little with a light squeeze of her arm before standing up.
“They’re about to come through so…I gotta act professional. But I promise okay.” She perked up a half smile as she just added. “Trust me…anyone who knows me would tell ya, I don’t got any reason to ever lie to someone.” And she didn’t. She knew her limitations, she had no shame…maybe she was promising more than she could deliver…but darn it she’d try this time.
Before she moved away, she rested a hand on the girl’s shoulder, and emphasized. “And…no. You’re not evil…” She had a gut feeling to emphasize ‘but you did break the law’, but…she just wasn’t cold enough to keep that on the table. She knew the girl had to be punished for her actions but…Yumi still couldn’t help but relate far too much.
When the officers arrived, she’d step back, and give them some space while still seeming ‘at the ready’ for appearences…
------------(just a small break to represent the transitioning of scenes between yumi, the others, then back)---------------
When the officers arrived Yumi maintained her distance and stepped back, a tad impressed the officers were referring to her by her hero name. Was that on file already or did Yellow jacket inform them? Either way Yumi was lightly taken off guard but tried to remain focused. She had her eyes on the girl and tried to show a flicker of reassurance in her expression as she tried to remain professional…
but that slither of purple. Her heart plummeted.
…She. No. No she…she wouldn’t….s-she could still use her quirk if she could sense those trip wires and…there was evidence her wires could be incredibly thin but…
no. NO. Not after her sister. She wouldn’t…she wouldn’t do that to anyone else….
But.
But what if.
The moment. The INSTANT that the girl was removed from her sight, Yumi acted, frantic and FAR from professional she rushed to the leading officer still in the room as the lesser officers took away the girl. “Knock her out. I-I don’t-“ Breathe. BREATHE. “I-I don’t want her hurt but she needs to be unconscious for transport. H-her and the other girl!” Assuming Hachi and the others had come up with the officers (I couldn’t tell too well from the wording) She’d spin to them to explain. “She…her sister committed suicide! That’s what this was all about! I think I just saw her using her quirk on her own neck! This was all a big vengeance plot and and and-“ FUCKING BREATHE! Fuck fuck fuck Yumi’s hands were pulling at the hair on the side of her head she hadn’t had a panic attack like this for…
“J-just knock them out until you can contain them properly. Please I-…I wanna think the best of them but I f-feel…” She cleared her throat, trying to force a more rational tone. “I…I feel I have strong reason to believe…both criminals hold the potential to utilize their quirks for suicide in transport. A-as quirkers, and knowing of no quirk suppressant tech…I believe it would be the best course of action to render them unconscious until other restraints can be acquired.”

A ngel felt a twinge of personal pride as she saw the former hostage that she had taken a personal interest in hold her feather close to his heart. Her feathers may not have meant a ton to her since she had so many, but to those she saved they served as a small reminder that she would always be watching out for them and that they had survived their traumatic experience. As the head Police officer addressed her and Feng about how they were to back the police up if the criminal tried anything funny and that they would be taking the stairs Angel nodded. Before setting out with them however Angel gave her mentor a thumbs up about heading back to school once it was all said and done. "You've got it Yellow Jacket ma'me!"Once she bid farewell to her new mentor Angel followed the police upstairs where they found Yumi sitting down with the criminal. Once they entered the room Angel quickly stepped out from behind the police and spread her wings wide so that if she needed to she could either take a split moment flight or fire off a few feathers to defend the police if needed as they approached the criminal who was still make shift handcuffed by a metal coat hanger. As they took her into custody and thanked the three of them for their service Angel nodded until she saw Yumi beginning to go into full panic mode. Angel quickly rushed to her side and wrapped a wing around her shoulder to try and comfort her. Upon hearing that the two criminals might try to use their quirks to kill themselves Angel's comforting gaze turned to one of concern which caused her to move her wing as she stepped up to support Yumi. "My partner Curved lightning has spent time with the Cri..with the obtained quirker and we both have seen their capabilities of creating wires and controlling them from their body. If she thinks that they may try to self harm themselves or worse then I believe her. I agree that until a solution can be found to keep the pair from using their quirks to harm themselves or others knocking them out is the best option."Angel then smiled over at Yumi as if to say "You have my support. We won't let any harm befall them." and gave her hand the smallest firm squeeze before letting go. She and Yumi may not have always seen eye to eye on things, but Angel trusted her comrades instincts as a hero and also knew she had no reason to lie about something so serious. She cared about every living soul even the bad guys. Once she gave her warning to the head police officer Angel herself headed back toward the stairs to head toward the outside to head back to her home at U.A. high. "I for one am starving! You ladies ready to head home!?"

“Roger that.”, Feng simply replied as she followed along with her orders. The anxiety is building, the blood is starting to rush again and mind starts to race. How ill the villain react to one of the two heroes who found her, is she awake by now, what was her goals, why the outburst? So many questions Feng could as in the span of seconds but none of them could be concrete. Is it better to learn the motivations or keep herself in silence and follow orders? Did Yumi learning anything while she was with the villain and is she going to be alright? She quickly clapped to snap herself out of the mental stupor and followed the officers. It didnt do much aside from keep her focused but take what you can get.
A part of her wants to rush on ahead but this night was rather chaotic and frightening given the circumstances. When the day is over and the job is truly done, she could finally rest and sleep soundly. But the legal proceedings afterwards are going to be a hassle not too much a fan of cops, but that's just on her father's repeated complaining about set subject. But that is off topic to the actual situation of making their way up the stairs. Its funny these stairs which held such urgency earlier in the night, are now seem like something trivial now.Comedic how a situation can quickly escalate in a matter of hours and vice versa.
Break --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feng arrived with the others to see Yumi if alright and the villain is still bound. It was good news but she kept a sharp eye on the suspect who looked more scared than anything else. She wanted to say something but the words aren't coming out of her mouth. But what could she say to her, she barely knows her and she yelled at her accomplice earlier. She would be doing more harm than good at this point and that's the last thing this situation needs.
However the situation was going to take a turn for the worst as Feng saw the purple glimmer go around the suspects neck. In that moment she remembered that she could manipulate thread quite easily and her mind went to the worst possible scenario she could think up. Feng was a second too late and would have sprang into action but the light disappeared and the suspect simply hung her head low. She was too slow, she was too slow, the thought started to fill Feng's mind as she felt her heart sink to the lowest depths The situation has been resolved and the suspect is alive but that single moment could have decided everything. This girl who is barely older than her could have easily taken her life and she could have witnessed it. The death of a suspect as her first experience of being on the job. As the officers take her in Feng clenched her fist as she looked on without saying a word. Yumi and Angel said all she wanted to say anyway and filling the room with another worried voice is only going to make it a bit longer to take her in.
As they escort the criminal out, Feng walked on in silence with a somber look on her face. Reflecting on the moments that could have changed everything. She simply kept a stoic look and headed down, wondering what she should do tomorrow.

But remember from here on in, History has its eyes on you. The criminal was lifted up by a pair of officers without any excessive force, but not without a fair bit of effort to get her to start walking by herself. They marched her to the stairwell and walked her out of it, the head cop staying behind a moment more to survey the scene. The remains of the "possessed" coat, the utterly wrecked cafe and shop, the scuff-marks and signs of struggle here and there; she took them in without much pause, like this were not the first time she'd seen them. Not by a long shot. She only stopped when Yumi and Angel approached her--oddly she was quite a bit shorter than Yumi was, almost an entire foot shorter. She had to look up to meet her gaze, eyes stone cold.
"...heroes, while I appreciate everything you have accomplished, I need you to get yourselves together." She spoke with a firm, heavy tone--harsh to listen to, perhaps, but not intentionally cruel. "We cannot just knock a criminal unconscious. The amount of trauma to the skull required to knock a person out can cause severe brain damage. That is excessive force. Not only is that illegal, but it might kill them. If you believe they are a danger to themselves then there are steps we can take to stop them from doing anything extreme. We have restraints that will make it impossible for them to move their hands, if their Quirk requires those gestures to activate. We have jackets to limit arm movement. They'll be sent to the station in different cars, kept in separate cells from one-another, and can be placed under twenty-four-hour surveillance as a suicide risk."
"But that is all we can do."
The officer sighed, exasperation evident in the slump of her shoulders and lines on her face. She nodded in the direction of the stairwell. "Take a moment to collect yourself if you need it, then go downstairs and follow the orders of your instructor. You're dismissed, heroes."
--
Hachi finished applying medicinal tape to the last of her injuries just as the officers came out with the second criminal. As Angel had remarked before, she looked very similar to the other--they had to be sisters, if not outright twins--and the sight of her bruises pursed Hachi's lips into a narrow line. The pattern of them resembled a number of her own injuries. Were they caused by her sister? Could she not control her Quirk? Those were very unfortunate implications. But...with the system the way it was, there really were no places for those who weren't heroes-to-be to learn to control their Quirk. That was something that had to change.
Faster than it is now, or situations like this are going to become more common...it isn't fair, to them or to us.
She looked away as they sat the girl down in the back of a car several rows down from the one her sister was in. The two only met eyes briefly, and Hachi couldn't bear to see what showed on their faces as the cars started, sirens blaring, and left. She drew in a breath, exhaled, and then placed her helmet back on her head.
"This world needs more heroes". But of what kind...?

"n-no! I-" She stopped herself from getting more frantic, but she accepted the stern explanation. SHe'd never intended to KNOCK them out like that, but she hadn't explained well there and of course, acting level headed even with suspicions like she had was part of the job too. She sighed softly through her nose and tried to make eye contact, even with her head a little downcast from how she'd been misinterpreted, but, again, she did recognize that it was her own fault.
"I...understnad." She nodded firmly and kept her arms behind her back, feeling like a fool for not recalling the theoretical work she'd done in the classroom for situations like this, as rare as she'd hoped they'd be. "I thank you for taking my words under advisement and potentially acting on them if they show signs of that being a neccessity...I just...I'm sorry." She nodded once more, mostly affirming to herself that she'd acted hastily here, and, perhaps, gotten one step too connected to the girl she'd been left with. The way Angel seemed willing to just...walk away from all this stung her too. Her eyes drifted off to the other direction, to the stores they'd been waiitng in and...
"I think...I'll catch my breath for a second. Please let Yellow jacket know I'll be down in a moment."
She waited for the others to leave, maybe an officer stayed behind to make sure she came out with everyone or too make sure she didn't take too long. She didn't mind if so. She just took a seat in the cafe and took a moment to breathe, her hands running up through the sides of her hair and taking today in...
She'd went from joining UA to control her quirk, to wanting to be a hero, and now...she still wanted to be a hero. But where she'd had doubts she could be a rescue hero...now she was having doubts she-
No. No she...she needed to learn. She did. But she needed to stop this. Stop getting paranoid and hating herself and all this. She rested her hands on her knees...took a deep breath...and followed the others out.
When she saw Yellow Jacket, she'd approach her and bow her head, a solemn tone, but a genuine one in turn. "Thank for the experience today Miss Yellow Jacket. It's been...eye opening."
