Are you ready
The woman's wires were fast, but, up against Feng, just not fast enough to catch her. They went straight through the spot Feng's head had been seconds ago and buried into the concrete floor behind her hard enough that it embedded in it. Her eyes managed to land on Feng seconds before Feng's leg collided with her stomach. She made a grunt of pain, of teeth cracking against teeth and air being pushed out of her lungs, as the hit landed and sent her backwards into the shelving. The wires connected to her wrist disconnected--intentionally, in all likeliness, so she wasn't stuck connected to the floor--as she pushed out of the broken shelf and askew cosplay tools. Feng's flames had charred at the plain white shirt she wore, revealing more eerily pale skin beneath the fabric, though it was now turning red and raw from the inflicted burn. " You..." she hissed, pain making it hard to speak, " ...you're as useless as the police...you only show up when there's a show, not..." She went silent, white and violet eyes narrowing, and some unseen force jerked her body upwards for just a second before her gaze went, too, up to the rafters instead of Feng. " ...fucking flies." The woman's expression went from a painful grimace to a cold, cruel grin, and the hand outstretched towards Feng now rose to grasp at something behind her. Neigh invisible due to how thin they were, Feng could see the shadow and press of the threads into the pale skin of the woman's hand better than the threads themselves. Then a purple shock of light went up from where her hand touched the thread towards the rafters. It went up and up and then split into a thousand smaller lights, travelling up the wires at an impressive speed. She then lowered the hand and started taking slow steps towards the other conscious girl, who, despite what Feng had told her to do, was still absolutely frozen in fear, her arms holding tight to the body of the other schoolgirl besides her. But the woman only gave her a passing glance. It seemed her interest wasn't in these hostages. -- As Angel dove in to try and pull the man out from the hood of black threads, the sleeves swung in her direction, trying to bat her away with all of their strength. The man inside was still dazed enough that he couldn't move or speak, but for a moment--just a moment--there was enough of an angle for one to grab hold of his waist as it hung out of the bottom of the hoodie and try to pull him out. The hard part of pulling him free would be catching his head before it hit the concrete. Wait, no, the hard part was also avoiding the next spray of sharp black wires as they went right for Angel's extended wrist, aiming to grapple her and pull her away. If she wanted to grab the man, she'd need to either take the hit, or find something else for it to grab onto. But too much movement on her part could lead to the man's head hitting the floor. What was more important; the hostage's safety, or hers? Or was there another option, given her surroundings? -- Yumi leaped into the rafters to find them, as Angel had announced before, full of thin black threads. They were no longer still, though, but instead pulling back and forth with the motions of the suspended hostage. Every movement made sparks fly off the metal. If she was going to grab onto these, she had best hope that her strength and endurance was enough to hold them still, or the worst case scenario would leave her "high four"-ing for the rest of her life. As her hands and arms tangled themselves up tight in the wires, Yumi clearly heard a voice from the direction of the cosplay shop: "...fucking flies."Suddenly a burst of purple lights rushed towards Yumi, and a jolt of painful electricity struck every spot of her skin that was in contact with the threads. Though far weaker than her own lightning, it was still like the pain of sticking a fork into an electrical outlet. The threads started to tighten around her arms and hands, digging into her flesh, threatening to pierce it if she stayed like this for too long. However it was not strong enough to make her bleed just yet. If she was fast...

| W hoever was controlling the wires that were constantly her and Yumi seemed to have incredible concentration to be able to both attack his foes as well as hold onto the hostages he had taken captive. As Angel thought about this and tried to kick her brain into overdrive to try and find a way to save both the hostage and herself her she managed to catch that the hostage's waist was hanging out of the strings which meant she had an opening. The only big problem was that she also had to keep his head from hitting the concrete as she pulled him free. Angel knew she was gonna make a sacrifice, but saving the man's life was more then worth it. "Here goes everything!"As Angel moved in to take hold of the man's waist she quickly flicked the wrist of her left hand which was holding her triple P and let it go to toss it into the path of the now oncoming wires so that hopefully the wires in their urgency to grab hold of her would grab hold of the weapon and rip it to shreds instead of her own wrist. Once that was done Angel quickly wrapped one arm around the hostage and placed her now free left hand behind the hostages head before using all the strength in her wings to push both herself and her hostage back to the other side of the room to hopefully pull the man free. If her plan worked she would look up toward the rafters where Yumi was and grin and happy grin. "We're clear! Pour on the juice!"No plan was perfect that was something that Angel had learned early on during her first year as a student at U.A. There were always factors that one couldn't account for and so she had no idea about the tied up hostage in Feng's area and all Angel could focus on at the moment was keeping herself,Yumi and the hostage alive. Hopefully Yellow Jacket would soon realize what was happening and come to Feng's aid. (TL;DR: 1- knowing she couldn't get out of the way of the grab, Angel flicked her left wrist and tossed away her weapon so that the grappling wires would grab it instead of her. 2-Angel then wrapped an arm around the hostages waist and placed her left hand behind his head and used her wings to push them away. 3-Yelled for Yumi to pour on her electricity.) As all the wires and threads tightened and pulled against her arms Yumi grit her teeth hard. She never considered herself to have a high pain tolerance, but she'd been developing one hell of a tolerance over the past year and a half of school. Afterall, she took punches from the strongest kids in school on multiple occassions, both before and after she discovered how to make a repulsive force with her quirk to defend herself, and everytime she managed to hold herself conscious and push through it. This was a different kind of pain, but not one she was entirely foreign to either. Working with cosplay the sensation of thread burns wasn't foreign but damn she'd definitely never felt it to this extent.
The threads pinched and cut into her skin, and if her suit wasn't so durable she was sure she'd have started to leak electricity by now, but she'd learned from prior mistakes and this thread didn't have what it took to beat her several times upgraded power suit.
Angel called out from back where she used to be, and Yumi knew she had a chance to strike, but just as she thought to she watched as a seperate trail of energy to her own ran along the strings. The fact it was visible and slow enough to see coming told Yumi it was quirk based but...electricity AND thread control...? She...God they needed more information here! It wasn't unusual to see a quirk double up like that but-!
"HNNNGH!" SHe was pulled from her thoughts as the already burning sensation of the pulling and cutting threads was piled on top on with a sensation Yumi ironically had little resistance to. Her bio-generated electricity never hurt her but she had little to no resistance to electricity from other sources. She was a battery that couldn't be recharged. Trying to re-apply a charge just did more damage. Still...she knew what her own output was like, she knew what it could do to others, and a chuckle rose from her throat as she couldn't help but whisper to herself.
"You call that a charge...?~"
She clenched every muscle in her body in one instance, and fire back down the length of the wires. Her own electricity completely over-powered the charge flowing back up the wire and raced back down the opposite direction. Fun fact you learn when you study electricity for a living. Sending a charge down a wire in the opposite direction was NOT recommended.
TLDR
Yumi grit her teeth and endured the damage best she could. Past incidents of her suit leaking justify it being sturdy enough through upgrades nto to get cut
She's not too resistant to electricity but she knows she can handle it
She fired off a FULL B rank blast back down the threads, holding on tight.

Direct Hit!
Feng felt her kick make contact against the body of the suspect as it results in the recipient flying backwards into the wall. Though something about her seemed off even as the fire burned through the suspects cloths. That hit felt solid and the girl felt it from what she tells from her pained expression, but something didn’t seem right. Like she wasn’t showing off all her abilities and she had one more trick up her sleeve. She stayed on guard as she prepared to react to whatever she was planning.
Her hand was raised, and an eerie feeling was given off as she smiled, but in a flash a jolt of electricity went up the wires and through the rafters. Spreading through the web above her as the suspect got back up. She shuffled towards the two hostages, one of them holding onto her friend for dear life as she was scared out of her mind. But she didn’t seem to care.
Feng assumes that Angel and Yumi have the situation under control outside, but it wouldn’t hurt to get the suspect as far away from the hostages as soon as possible. Many solutions went through her head as she took a deep breath to gather up her energy. She is going to slam her with another hit to hopefully knock em out. She took aim as she slowly exhaled.
Dragons Tempo: Flame Fang!
In a blur she dashed up to the suspect to hit her with another ignited kick. This time it was aimed square at the chest to knock the wind out of the suspect and get her out of the cosplay store and away from the hostages. If she landed the hit, she would slowly breath in again to prep up for another hit, but to her surprise huge blast of electricity started going through the wires again though it was going towards the suspect. Feng easily knows its Yumi as she looks up from the entrance of the store to see Yumi tangled up there and is currently acting as a walking power plant. She almost feels sorry for the suspect for what about she is about feel.
“Ok everyone, I’ll escort you and your friend to safety. Everything is alright now…”
She then goes over to the hostages to ensure that everything is alright while providing care to the woman who was unconscious still. This was a scary experience so she wouldn't fault them for being scared. Though she was just as scared considering she did kinda run into the suspect among the hostages. One question still stands: WHERE THE HELL IS YELLOW JACKET?!

Are you ready
Angel's precious Triple-P would, alas, likely be in need of repairs when all of this was said and done. The umbrella-turned-rapier was caught up immediately in a tangle of razor-sharp threads and the fine fabric--thought enhanced in its strength and durability--was shredded like fine silk. However sacrificing her sword gave Angel just enough time to catch the man as he fell into her awaiting hands. He stared at her with wide, frantic eyes as she pulled him away, the hooded coat still too busy ripping and tearing into the parasol. It did not seem intelligent enough to know that it wasn't her arm. The man, even once a safe distance, didn't seem to be able to speak properly. His gaze went from Angel to the "sentient" hoodie and his brow knit tightly. There was something aside from fear and panic in that look that seemed to both ease some of his fears and, yet, make his weak grip on one of Angel's arms tighten just a little. It was a look of recognition. " ........k-...Ko...to...ne....?" -- There was a moment of stand-off between Feng and the woman as she continued to approach, but did not throw an attack immediately. She glanced towards the window and back before Feng began to inhale. This time, though, she had just enough time to cross her arms over her chest in some vain attempt to lessen the blow. When Feng's leg made contact with it, however, the same as before happened. She went flying in the direction of the doorway, fresh new burns beginning to raise on her very pale, already bruised skin. But about a half-foot from the door her body suddenly jerked to a stop mid-air like she were caught on something. The wires in the rafters were, momentarily, tugged tighter than they had been as the woman attached to them was momentarily pulled out of their range capacity. Feng could see for just a second where they were connected: her back was completely exposed by her shirt, nearly every bit of visible skin had a small, thin, black wire protruding from her flesh. She let out a painful sounding shriek as the wires were pulled before she swung back on them to the ground, still a fair distance from where Feng and the hostages were, but not quite out of the shop. When her eyes reopened they were full of fury, pupils--if you could call them that--blown wide. " YOU--" But before she could get anything else in, a burst of blue electricity came down the wires like a halo of lights, and she only had a short second to react with absolute dread as they went through the hardly visible wires directly connected to her before they struck. Her face twisted into another scream but no proper sound came from her throat, her arms and legs and entire body convulsing in sharp, pained spasms as Yumi's lightning racked her lithe body. By the time the energy in her body had faded out, the woman was on the ground--still alive, still visibly breathing, but by no means and in no way conscious. The wires around Yumi suddenly went slack, and the hooded entity in front of Angel went stock still for a second before it suddenly...unraveled, its form turning into nothing more than a hanging mass of black thread-like wires, her torn-up Triple-P dropped at the bottom of their mass. The awake hostage sniffled and, now that the villain was out, began to shakily stand up, still supporting her friend. As she and the other woman had yet to wake up it was likely they had some amount of head trauma that would require medical aid immediately. But the girl was fine, save for her scrapes and bruises. " Th-thank you," she managed a weak sob, " You--you all saved us from her, thank you so much, thank you..." At that moment, everyone's headpieces suddenly came back to life. They could hear things in the background of wherever their shared connection to Yellow Jacket was standing. Sirens, police and ambulance alike; shouted, panicking voices in nearly every direction; and, finally, Hachi's own voice, still somehow even and without any discernible emotion within it. " --me then I will go in alo--" Hachi's voice stopped, suddenly, as she seemed to realize the line was once again connected, " Yellow Jacket here, please respond. I repeat, Yellow Jacket to Curved Lightning, Angel of Mercy, and Typhoon Dragoon, please respond. Communications were intercepted by an unknown party. What is the status of the hostages and villain? Are...--" a inhalation, and for a moment the rest of the noises were muffled like she were cupping her mouth and the microphone as to avoid being heard by who-ever may have been nearby, " --are you all okay...? I--I was trying to get a hold of you, but the line...tsk."" A shaking inhale and exhale. " There was another criminal on the roof of the building. I'm assuming the villain's ally or get-away. I will explain everything else when you're here. Is anybody hurt?" Yet, as it was, nobody among the three of them was hurt, save the slight bruising the wires would leave on Yumi's arms. The villain was taken out, and the hostages retrieved. They were unequivocally victorious. Now to decide how to get the hostages to the ground floor.

| A s the wires that were all around them went slack from Yumi's electricity blast Angel let out a sigh of relief as it seemed that the fight was finally over at least as far as Angel could tell. Not only that but the interference on her com link and in her hearing aids seemed to clear up as Yellow Jacket's voice began to come in loud and clear asking everyone to report in their status. This caused Angel to look down at the injured man who tried to speak to her as he squeezed her arm while looking over to the now lifeless hoodie he was staring at. Was he trying to tell her something about it? It wouldn't hurt to check it out if for no reason, but to make the man feel more at ease. Angel gave the man a kind and gentle smile before very softly sitting him down with his back against the wall before kneeling down to his level. "Don't try and talk. I'll check out the hoodie to make sure it's not alive anymore. You just relax for a minute and then I and my team will get you and the others out of here."Angel then gave the man a thumbs up before standing up straight and pressing down on her communicator attached to her hearing aid. Once the signal was clear Angel slowly walked over to the pile of now lifeless wires, grabbed her now tore up Triple P with her left hand and used it to move the wires aside so she could get to the hoodie. Before grabbing it she knew she better check in. "This is Angel of Mercy checking in. The bad guy seems to be down for the count and from what i can tell from my position we have no fatalities. I have C.L. and a single hostage with some mild injuries. I believe Typhoon Dragoon is with the other hostages and the bad guy. We will bring them down once their statuses are confirmed. If you are with the authorities please tell them that the bad guy had some sort of wire manipulation quirk and to keep him away from fabrics. Angel of Mercy over and out."Once she let go of her communicator she dug the end of her Triple P under the now lifeless hoodie scraps to pick them up. Once she grabbed it from the end of her weapon she sat said weapon down and began to slowly go through the pieces to see if she could find any sort of clue of what the bad guy wanted or why they were here in the first place. While she did that she remembered that Yumi was still up in the rafters and was probably a bit worn out. "Hey C.L., Are you okay up there!? Do you need me to come help you get down? We have one mildly injured guy down here who can't talk. I suspect some kind of throat injury from the wires. I think he might be too injured to move so we're gonna have to carry him. I'm checking the hoodie for clues just to be safe and to see if we can find out why the bad guy was here." |

Yumi was panting by the time she finally felt the wires slack out under her grip. In truth, what she’d just done wasn’t that bad in terms of exertion on her part, her full blast like that was becoming more and more like the standard even as the limits of her power continued to expand, but the constant stinging sensation burning across her arms from the tightening strings was getting to her a little mentally as she had to maintain focus through the pain. Now, as she let the strings fall from her fingers, nearly falling from the rafters before swiftly correcting her sense of balance, she could feel the blood rush back into her extremities, and full-arm pins and needles acted as the icing on the top of this little cake of pain.
Finally, Yellow Jacket seemed to make contact, and it seemed another criminal had been giving their ‘boss’ for the day some trouble up on the roof. Yeah, sounded about right…Yumi eased herself down off the rafters just as Angel tried to address her, slowly floating down with her quirk as she caught her breath.
“Nah I’m fine…you guys worry about the hostages. I’ll just cause them discomfort if I try to help them down. I’ll stay back till the cops get to us. I’d drag this one down with us but if they wake up it just takes a quick use of their quirk to choke the civilians out with some string again…” Hoping the others would understand how it was better to separate the criminal from the hostages rather than take everyone down together, Yumi moved over the unconscious criminal, her hands sparking and holding them up, aimed at the criminal. “Just…make sure they rush up here yeah? Maybe bring a first aider too…”
She chuckled softly, withdrawing one hand while the other remained ready. “Yellow Jacket this is Curved Lightning. Suffered several thread cuts across my fingers and forearm but nothing a bit of disinfectant and some careful bandages won’t work wonders on…I’ll be staying on the floor of the crime to cover the villain till backup arrives.”
She knew yellow Jacket MAY have some qualms, but if so she’d try to explain the situation the same way she did to the others. As Feng and Angel started to work everyone out of the room and down to the response team waiting outside the building, Yumi would try and shoot the civilians a reassuring smile…words briefly tried to work their way out of her but what could she say? They’d just had a traumatic experience and were saved by some inexperienced kids…a part of Hero culture told Yumi she should at least pretend they had a solid plan to reassure them, but was that fair to them to lie like that. Even saying ‘you’re okay now’ just felt…wrong.
She steeled herself with a breath through her nose, and simply let the words out with as much of a genuine tone as she could. “Don’t worry. It’s all under control now…”
She’d wait for the others to leave before giving the unconscious criminal her full attention…the way they talked and the nature of their quirk in this environment…heck the uniqueness of the target and having a second criminal on the roof. This was…oddly targeted in her eyes. IF the criminal woke up she might try and question them a bit, but for now, just kept their shots at the ready to blast them if they tried to make a move.
TLDR
Stayed behind to cover the criminal till someone can put them in cuffs or handle their quirk safely.

As the last bit of juice went through the wires and everything went quiet, it was a rather silent victory and had none of the fanfare that Feng had hoped for. But as she went to check the unconscious woman in the store, communications were now back up with Yellow Jacket’s voice being heard loud and clear. She listened to her words as she sounded quite panicked and considering what just happened here, one could only wonder what happened up there. Seems like the suspect had an accomplice who was on the roof while she had the hostages. Though why did they hope to accomplish with just two people? Can’t exactly say that a two-man job like this would end in a win considering how stacked the odds were. But that could also be chalked up to the fact that it was a three versus one and they weren’t expecting us.
“Typhoon Dragoon reporting in, three hostages were found in the shop. One is conscious and other two need medical attention, conditions are unknown. The suspect has been neutralized and I’m unharmed. Request for medical services is needed. I’ll meet you at ground floor with a full report from my end.” Feng reported over the radio as she carried the clerk in her arms and now planned to carry the other. She walked over to the student and her friend, “I’ll escort you out, are you able to walk?”. She did her best to assure them that its okay now but something about this didn’t feel right, like there’s something else they had up their sleeves. But for the life of her she can’t figure out why! Why did the suspect attack here of all places and why such an elaborate set up for four hostages? Was it a personal grudge, revenge, pleasure? She can’t exactly ask the students questions considering the frightful experience they had just experienced and that’s not in her job description. But what was their goal or who even paid them to do this? Too many questions plague her mind as she escorts the hostages out. “I’ll escort these three out, keep contact if you find anything else here or if the suspect’s condition changes…”, she said to Yumi and Angel. Really glad that they were around and did what they did considering the rude surprise of puppeting a hostage as a decoy.
Though all of that aside, that was an exciting experience overall considering she used her training effectively. Unfortunately, she doesn’t now if Yellow Jacket would like how she went about as she did. She could have called for backup from Angel and Yumi, she risked both the hostages and her own safety in taking on the suspect. More scouting could have been done instead of rushing for the hostages. All these what if’s and yet here she stands with three lives the team saved. For now, she and the student walked towards the elevator to the ground floor. “Best call home when you can to make sure your folks make sure you’re alright.” ,Feng remarked as she wanted the student to relax. She wonders how she would have been if she were in her position and what she could have done. But hypotheticals are bad for the brain and right now these people need medical attention. Let's just hope Hachi doesn't scold her too bad for her actions.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TLDR: -She is now carrying the store clerk and the friend of the student. -Is now escorting the three down to the ground floor. -Mostly self-reflecting on her actions and thinking about why the suspects did this.

Are you ready
There was a soft sound like a sigh over everyone's headset. " You're all okay then. That's...right. Police arrived a short time ago, and have the other criminal in custody. We have first aid ready for the hostages once they are out of the building. However many you can bring down safely, do. Any you cannot have them in a safe location for EMT's to get to after the police have secured the villain. Curved Lightning..." a pause, and soft 'tsk' of the tongue, then she continued, " If you believe you have the situation under control, hold that position. Angel of Mercy and Typhoon Dragoon please work on bringing the hostages you can move to ground level." The line went silent again. As Angel searched the remains of the hoodie, the man behind her sat up against the wall, staring still at the threads. He kept looking upwards in the direction they were hanging from, then straining to see out the door, but from where he sat he couldn't see anything of note. Angel, however, found a few things among the hoodie that must have been in its pockets before it unraveled: ordinary lip-moisturizer, a pocket-sized sewing kit, a plain leather wallet--empty, save a train ticket to Akihabara--and a cellphone that was turned off. The man behind her tried to say something, again, but when Angel reassured him not to and just to rest his expression softened and he only nodded slightly in response. The schoolgirl flinched when Yumi entered the room, but seeing her smile and hearing her speak to Feng and Angel about keeping an eye on the villain eased whatever panic she was still holding onto. She stood up with Feng's help, favoring one leg ever so slightly over the other, and nodded. " Y-yeah...I just got scraped up and a little bruised, but...Harru-chan needs more help than I do. Um, I can t-try to support her, if you need to carry Obāsan down the steps..." Luckily for the three of them, the elevators still worked just fine, so there was little need to carry anyone a great distance. Although they could choose to take the stairs, nothing was stopping them from going with the faster route. At Yumi's feet, the villain's breathing started to even, but she stayed down, still too dazed or in too much physical pain to move. Either way, Yumi would have a chance alone with them, to talk or otherwise, should the other two give it to her.

| A ngel listened silently as Yumi told both her and Feng to handle the getting the hostages out so that she didn't harm them with her quirk while also stating that she would make sure that their baddie stayed subdued. Upon hearing this Angel just nodded while remaining silent as she went through the almost completely empty wallet, the sewing kit,lip balm and finally the phone which she very gently picked up deciding to leave the other supplies behind. She then took the phone over to her rescued victim and turned on the phone holding it up as it started up as she knelt down to his level. "Is this yours and can you get past the lock screen? Just nod if so."As she waited for an Answer she just dropped her now broken weapon so that she could used her free arm to gently scoop up the man as softly as she could as if she was now lovingly carrying a sleeping infant even going as far as using her left wing to prop the man up in her arm and giving him a soft cushion to rest his head against. As she walked toward Feng and the other saved hostages Angel just held onto the phone and cradled her own saved hostage making sure to give him her sweetest and softest smile. "No need to be afraid anymore. The Angel of Mercy is watching over you now."Once Angel reached Feng's location she listened to her team mate call in to their mentor before comforting the other hostages and saying that she would escort them out. Angel listened to one of the female hostages say that her friend needed to be carried because she was out cold. Upon hearing this Angel very gently sat down her male hostage just long enough to gently get the out cold hostage onto her back before picking him up once more. She then held up the phone for Feng to see as she waited for her man to unlock it. "I found this phone upon the baddies effects. Might have info on why she chose these people and this location to attack. If my guy here can't unlock it maybe the cops can. Mind holding onto it and calling the elevator? I have these two. It's time for this bad night to come to an end."(Tl:DR-Angel grabs the phone and cuts it on asking her freed hostage if he can unlock it for her. She then carries him over to Feng's group and reports what she found to feng. while scooping up the out cold hostage to carry toward the elevator to get the hostages out.) |

Yumi was cautious as everyone else filed out of the room, keeping her sparking palms raised and ready to fire. By now the cuts on her arms were starting to show a little more in the fabric of her costume, nothing that couldn’t be repaired but it added emphasis to her sparks as more energy leaked out of the costume through tiny, almost invisible holes and tears forming along the fabric covering her forearms. Ultimately it meant that she was waisting energy little by little, and was a repair she’d need to make quickly, but hey, it also provided some valuable info for the next upgrade. The suit still needed some improvements to help it withstand attacks that were thin or could easily cut through her costume…
Once everyone was gone and the criminal began to stir, Yumi lowered her arms slowly, keeping one eye on the criminal and walking about her as she got her barings. She’d dip into the costume racks of the store, picking out a scarf as her quirk turned off fully, pulling it between her non-electrified palms to test it’s strength while always keeping an eye on the criminal. If they showed any signs of fleeing Yumi would immediately turn her quirk back on and dart to them, but while they seemed so dazed she felt she had some time.
She was about to walk back with the scarf, but, with no clear indication this person had full control over all fabrics, or just the ones they created, they thought better. Instead, they pulled a wire hanger off the wrack, and with some aid from a charge helping her warp the metal, she crouched down behind the criminal and bound their wrists using the warped metal hanger.
“So…” She began, a little awkwardly admittedly as she made sure to bind the wrists without cutting into her skin with the thin slither of metal she was using as an impromptu cuff. She used her quirk again to spin a knot in the metal tighter than she could with her hands, and helped the criminal stand and rest in a normal seat at the café while they waited. If the criminal allowed her of course. If not, Yumi would rest her rear on the counter in the cosplay store and stand over her where she was on the floor.
“Usually we get the whole…big villain monologue before it gets to this point…do you wanna get it out now?” Despite using some soft, perhaps…poorly worded humor to try and ease the tension, her voice was soft and genuine. “I mean we got time. I think even you must realize you DON’T want another full dose of my shocks…so what’s going on here? This…revenge of some sort? An attention grab for another issue? You seemed pretty passionate so this seems like more than a robbery gone wrong…people tend not to take hostages unless they need, or want to…and I just wanna get a look at the picture here…”
She’d lower her gaze a little, but quickly fight her instinct not to make eye contact by keeping an eye on them. “Sorry I…I’m not good with words and you’ve got literally no reason to wanna talk to me…” She tipped her head to the side, her ponytail falling over her shoulder. “But…you went through all the effort for some reason…mind if I hear it?”
TLDR Yumi used a warped wire hanger as impromptu cuffs for now. Used her quirk to make surre they can’t be pulled undone easily If the criminal allows she’d guide them both to sit in the café. If not, she’d stand while the criminal remains on the floor She tries to ask the criminal their motive.

Feng made a mental note of Angels findings while she carried over the last hostage who was on the receiving end of one of Yumi' shocks."I'll bring it to Yellow Jacket to get it cleared up, priority is the hostages first and foremost...", she replied. She takes the phone from her associate and heads to the elevators. To make things a bit easier, she left the other two hostages with Angel so she put her attention on the the girls friend. Its best to not separate the two of them after an incident like this and the girl must be worried about her friends condition. She can't imagine what the friend is going through since everything happened so fast. But she stayed vigilant and made sure that the girl is alright as she carried her on her back.
“Thank ya but I'll be fine, we need to you all to the paramedics and they’ll take care of the rest…”, She reassured the student as they waited for the elevator to come up. Though it felt like it took longer than it did to come up. As the elevator doors opened Feng and the student entered the elevator without much issue. Though a moment of hesitation was taken considering what the villain could have done to the elevator. But she was knocked out and cuffed so the anxiety soon went away. The button for the ground floor was pushed and the hum of the elevator filled the rather awkward air surrounding them. And then an air of tense silence befell the elevator as both of them quietly reflected on what just transpired on this night.
Can’t exactly say much to comfort when she fought a criminal who was just barely older than herself. The girl isn't exactly in the best condition for a proper conversation and her friend isn’t much for talking at the moment. But the question still burns bright in head as to why the suspects did what they did and what they hoped to achieve. Though her train of thought was soon interrupted by the elevator reaching their floor. The group exited out and a crowd of officers, paramedics and various others rushed towards them. Feng put the unconscious girl on a stretcher and helped the student onto another.”Best stay by her side, both of you will need it for the future…” Feng told the girl as they were escorted towards the ambulance. A part of her wants to accompany them to the hospital but she to give her report and so on. Her first experience of hero work and a rather tense first experience at that. But compared to the others, she is relatively fine without a scratch. Maybe she'll visit both of them to make sure they're OK after all of this is dealt with.
Various emergency personnel go to the upper floors to help out the others. Feng waits for Yellow Jacket and the others to show up. With her, she has about a storm of questions to ask her mentor with varying levels of intensity. Mostly about the suspects and their motives since the only witnesses to her performance needs medical help. ‘Who were those two individuals?’, ‘what was their goal?’, ‘was this planned by them or were they hired?’, ‘Was their decision sound and were the results good?’, and so on and so forth. The phone could hold some answers but things are never simple in this city. At this point she just wants to stop by a vending machine and get a drink to re energize her.

But remember from here on in, History has its eyes on you. Tsutsuji Hachi had taken worse injuries in her time as both a hero, and as a vigilante. Thin cuts marred her shoulders where her hero suit left gaps, and the very tip of one of her claws was split open, now wrapped in gauze to prevent infection. Her wings were in one piece but had their share of deeper coloring, indicating some manner of bruising. She was fine. The physical pain was nothing she wasn't used to. What was not fine, nor something she was accustomed to, was the panic she felt when the lines of communication went dead and she had no means of reaching her interns...her students.
If something has happened to them, I...
...
The police were not useless, but less than useful. Protocol was still in place. She was not to go in and engage until they had more information, regardless of the situation. How could that work when those she had sent in to acquire that were out of contact with her?! They had nothing to go on--and the villain that she had caught was proving difficult to get information out of.
Mainly because they--a young woman with hardly any defining traits to speak of, save for her eyes--had not spoken a single word before, during, or after Hachi's confrontation with her. There had been no gloating, no goading, no bitter back-talk to Hachi's rehearsed lines of "come quietly and you will not be harmed". Nothing at all had broken the girl's silence. Hachi had wondered for a moment if they were even capable of speaking, but they had grunted and cried out in pain when she drove her into the cement, so she could produce sound.
What was the point of staying silent, then?
"Yellow Jacket, the door--"
Hachi turned from the side of the police cruiser, where her captured villain was sitting silently and still, to the front door of the building and the two familiar figures coming out of it. Her expression could not properly show the swell of relief that filled her chest, but perhaps how she flew straight towards them without pause for her own injuries spoke enough. They were uninjured, and they had the hostages. They were uninjured...
Thank God.
"Heroes," she gasped the word like she was short on breath, then, quickly, corrected herself. "Heroes. Good work getting the hostages out and for subduing the criminal. I cannot tell you how proud I am of your work today. Here, the EMTs are this way." She directed Angel and Feng toward the waiting ambulances as she took a moment to look over those they had rescued. Two high school students, one whom was conscious and one who was not, an middle-aged stores clerk who had a notable throat injury that needed immediate care, and a man who was awake but appeared to be in shock, shaking too much and unable to focus on any--
There was a scream from the cop car so loud that Hachi might have jumped were she on the ground. She turned her head toward the noise. The criminal she had caught was still locked in the car, still handcuffed, still within her restraints, but if looks could kill the one she was giving the man in Angel's arms would have ended him in seconds. She had screamed so loud that the noise could reach them through the open front seat.
"YOU!! LIAR!! MONSTER!! YOU SHOULD BE DEAD!! GIVE US BACK KOTONE YOU SON OF A WHORE!!"
Hachi looked at the woman with as much shock as her face allowed, then back to Feng and Angel. Now that they could see--or rather, had their attention forcibly drawn to--the other criminal, the similarities were impossible for them to miss, even at this distance.
She looked precisely like the villain in the building.
The man only flinched, shaking worse in Angel's arms.
"What in the world..." Hachi muttered, and looked down at Angel and Feng once more, "Who is this person?"
--
The villain was silent and did not move, even as Yumi adjusted their body into a sitting position, into cuffs, and then, slowly, into a chair in the cafe. Their white and purple eyes stayed downcast, unaffected by anything Yumi did, until she began to speak. Then they flickered up to meet her own, brows knit together and her eyes glossy. "Vil..." she spoke, voice weaker, hoarse from her injuries, then she looked back down at her knees. "...I guess that's fair. Hah. Fuck. Anyone who commits any crime with a Quirk these days is a 'villain', right? But people without 'em can get away with so much worse and they're just plain criminals..."
She went silent again. Then, sitting up as straight as the bruises on her ribs allowed, stared down Yumi's attempted empathy with cold, tranquil fury. "Got it in one. Revenge. Plain and simple. If you'd been just a few fucking minutes late, we'd have pulled it off, and that scumbag would...Christ, what the hell do you care, anyway? We're going to jail no matter what we say."
"What the fuck do you get from listening to me?"

| A s Angel stepped out into the fresh air with Feng and their freed civilians she felt her heart strings be pulled as Yellow Jacket not only called them heroes, but also praised them for the good work they did. This caused Angel to give Feng a large grin before she grinned over at her mentor with pride and excitement. Angel dutifully followed said mentor as she lead both her and Feng over to the paramedics. Once she reached them Angel ever so gently put down the two she was carrying after the one in her arms began to cower as the villain Yellow Jacket had captured began to yell calling the man a liar and a monster saying he should be dead and to give them back someone named Kotone. "More and more questions. Luckily I believe we have some answers."As Yellow Jacket looked down at her and asked her who the hostage was most likely trying to figure out what the bad guy was talking about. To this Angel shrugged and then lightly pointed over to Feng and the cellphone she was holding that Angel herself had found. Angel then walked over to Feng and gently took the phone back from her and held it up before offering it to the police officer on the scene respectfully. If anyone could figure it out it was the police! Angel knew that for sure! "I don't have many answers, but after the fight with the bad guys wire quirk and rescuing the hostages I found this cellphone in the man's torn up hoodie that the bad guy brought to life using her quirk. If there are any answers to what's going on they will probably be in there."Angel then looked up at Yellow Jacket with a slight bit of worry on her face as she realized that Yumi was still in the building with the bad guy they had defeated and that if left alone for too long the bad guy might get free and escape and so Angel quickly cleared her throat and pointed toward the floor Yumi was on. "Curved Lightning is still inside with our captured bad guy. She used her quirk to subdue her while I saved the hostage. A police officer might want to go relieve her. Speaking of our bad guy Ms.Cranky over here looks just like her. Has anyone checked to make sure she's actually real? The girl we fought could control fabrics to life,so who says she can't make fabric clones?"Angel then would walk over to the bad guy carefully and lightly poke her cheek just to be safe. "It means a lot to get praise from you by the way Ms.Yellow Jacket" |

"...Yeah. Villain's maybe the wrong word. I'm sorry." She dipped her head before taking a slow breath. "Words can change...villain dosn't necessarily mean you're evil or 'the bad guy' plain and simple anymore, it can just mean your a quirker who's breaking the law, but I should have been more careful choosing my words here."
She sat with the criminal, careful to use that word even when referring to her in her own head so as not to slip up again, watching her show some frustration and staring down her attempts to communicate with her, yumi brushing her red lockes back out of her eyes a little as she tried to think on how to answer her question, but decided to put it simply.
"I get to...sympathize, I guess. Not condone...given what I saw so far, I don't think I could condone this...but I can understand. And if I understand maybe the next person down the line can. I hand you off now, all the officers will know are the crimes *You* committed. They won't know what anyone did to earn that revenge-" Assuming that wasn't a made up answer to just get Yumi to shut up and be satisfied. "If you tell me and I can...connect with that, then I can move it forward. I can hand you over and...I dunno." She was being idealistic, and she knew that, but she wanted to be honest too. "Maybe they can handle you a bit more lightly. Maybe not...maybe they'll help you with that revenge by punishing that person for whatever they did to you...maybe not. Maybe I don't get anything from trying here...maybe I do." She shrugged and rubbed the back of her neck.
"I'm not about to open up to you and spill about how I overthink and all that crap but...bottom of the line is...what do I lose? Maybe I gain nothing, but I certainly don't lose anything trying to listen to you. I know that for sure."
