The Exhibition Festival. A battle between hero schools. There could be only one victor. And today, it would be decided just which students from which school would ultimately reign supreme. Would it be the students of UA? Or would Adler Academy triumph over their opponents? The crowd watching the events unfold would watch in anticipation and excitement to see just which of the two schools would win this battle. With cameras all over the place, they would not have to worry about missing even a second of the excitement!
Naturally, a battle as grand as this would need an equally grand setting. An appropriate battleground was needed for this fight. And the solution to this was in the form of a small castle built in the arena. This would be dubbed the Castle of Valor. A stronghold from which the defending team would try to stall out the attacking team. The victors and losers of this fight would be decided here.
The announcer began to introduce all of the students that would be participating. Afterwards, the rules of this fight would be explained in detail. Naturally, there was no serious injuring or maiming of the opponent allowed. They were all heroes, not soldiers of war. And of course, there was the main thing. Both schools' students were all assigned a task, one that they would need to complete in order to earn their school a victory.
The UA students were assigned the roles of the invading army. Their task was simple. To 'assassinate' the 'tyrannical' king by whatever means necessary. The king, whose role was played by an elegantly dressed mannequin, would need to be captured and 'executed'. Only by successfully pulling this off within the allotted time would UA be able to secure victory for themselves.
Conversely, the students of Adler Academy were given the roles of protectors of the castle. Their task was also simple. Protect the king from the 'evil' invading army at all costs. The king had already called for reinforcements from allied countries, but it would take a while for them to arrive. This time was represented by the time limit. Until this time limit reached 0, the Adler Academy had to do whatever they could to hold the attackers off and prevent their king from falling.
A time limit of fifteen minutes. In that time, the UA students would have to try to infiltrate the Castle of Valor by any means necessary. In that time, the Adler Academy students would need to try to defend the castle and their king from the intruders. Would the siege prove successful? Would fifteen minutes really be enough time for the invaders to succeed? Or would the castle's protectors succeed in holding off the invaders until the time limit was up? Could the defenders hold on for that long?
Now at first, it seemed as though UA had an unfair advantage in having six students compared to Adler's five. However, this would be compensated for in the fact that in addition to their quirks, the Adler students had extra tools at their disposal. They were given a detailed map of the arena to familiarize themselves with the terrain and the locations of all the various weapons, traps, and obstacles they could use to impede the UA students. Meanwhile, all the UA students had were each other, their quirks and ingenuity, a couple of cannons and various supplies lying around their starting area so they would not all be completely empty-handed, and a vague direction to where the throne room was. Essentially, the attacking army would be going in almost completely blind. This would hopefully even the odds and allow Adler a fair fighting chance against UA.
But would this advantage in Adler's favor prove too much for UA to be able to overcome? Or would this not be enough to stop them? Only time would tell.
There was still some time before the siege would begin. So both teams would have time to prepare and form a strategy. The students of Adler Academy were already discussing potential strategies. "Alright, so there are three main ways to get across the moat. The first is breaking through the barbican and past the gatehouse. The second is by swimming across the moat. And finally, simply flying across." "So we're going to need to keep those UA students from getting past the moat, right?" "Well there are cannons and cannonballs we could use to shoot down anyone who tries to fly across the moat." "We also have a few boats to attack anyone who tries to swim.""As for the ones who try to go through the barbican, I'll make sure not to let a single one get past me!""Alright, but we need to keep an eye out in case they try some other way of getting through."
So that seemed to be the Adler students' goal. To become an impregnable fortress and not even let the UA students get past. Of course, they also began to talk about the possibility of their opponents breaking through.
"In that case, some of us should go around and lay some traps. Meanwhile, the others make sure to move stuff around and make it hard for the enemy to go around the castle interior." "I'd like to see them try to break through. I'll be surprised if any of them last a minute against me.""Well in any case, let's do our best and show those UA guys what we Adler students can do!"
Of course, while the students of Adler were busy formulating a plan, the UA students had the opportunity to do the same. To figure out how to get past the moat, how to break into the castle, how to tackle whatever obstacles would get in their way, how to take advantage of the tools at their disposal, how to take on and defeat the students that stood in their way, and most importantly, how to find and take down the king before time ran out.
Who would win this battle? Would UA conquer Adler in this battle, or would the German school best the Japanese? Would the Castle of Valor continue to stand tall, or would it come tumbling down? The audience eagerly looked at the screen, looking forward to finding out.

659 WC prawn, goat, slime? | As an American, Chimera clearly had an advantage in this fight. Who else was better at beating Europeans than Americans? At least, that was the joke he kept telling himself over and over again--between replaying songs from a certain musical that involved the revolution and rap--while he waited in the outer court of the surprisingly detailed faux castle they were set up to invade. His eyes took in the surrounding area with a fair amount of appreciation. He'd never been big on castles, but this was still pretty cool. And he was going to be invading it, like a very in-depth and possibly painful live-action roleplay.
Not bad, Valiant, this was going to be a fun one.
At least I hope so.
Chimera looked toward his teammates, recognizing a few by face but the rest by name only. Charlie and him were pretty good friends and she was very hard to miss, Yusaku and he were in the same class for the last couple years, and Luka...well, Luka looked like his sister. Not perfectly identical, of course, but there were only so many slime-based students in U.A, and he was related to one of them, so process of elimination was on his side. He only knew Angel from a few brief moments in the chatroom and some news articles about her internship that got passed around a few months back...and then there was...
...man, it's been a while since I've seen her around...
The last time Chimera remembered being around Risaka was in the hospital right after Semper Fi. They'd barely spoken--gunfire and bloodshed made for a poor place for introductions--and he'd not really seen her since. He wasn't actively avoiding her or anything like that! If he was trying to avoid people who reminded him of that, he'd have traded rooms with Yojin. Or dropped out of U.A all together. It was just strange being around her again, especially in a situation where they needed to be combative. But it did give him the bonus of knowing what he Quirk was and how she used it to some extent.
So a technical wizard who can punch really hard and swim really fast, a robot who can be worn and boost people's strength a bit, a literal angel with wings, a monochrome blitzkrieg, me, and...does Luka share the same Quirk as Elise? Does he heal? Or is it more combative than that? I could just ask them.
I should just fucking ask them.
"Alright," Chimera spoke up, rubbing his paws together quickly in front of himself, "I thiiiiiiink I know everyone's Quirks but just a quick refresher? I run fast and lift heavy shit and break things. Really basic. But I can also hear really well so in theory I could listen for people and help with sneaking in."
He waited for everyone to quickly say what their Quirks were before he voiced any further thoughts. Once they had he put his paws, pressed flat together, to tap at his chin with his claws. "I think...we should split into two groups. Whoever hits hardest should go through the front door and be as loud as they can be. Then Charlie and I and whoever isn't in the door-jam go around the long way?" Chimera glanced at the moat, then up at Charlie. "Are you a good swimmer? I know, like," he made a vague gesture in the shape of a shrimp, though how somebody might actually tell was entirely unknown, "Prawn. So. Maybe obvious answer. So the moat might be a good choice? Or I could try to scale the wall with my claws, if anyone has a rope I could haul people up from the side...or heck," he looked towards the chapel, "We could cross from there to the tower if we had something long to bridge it? What do you all think?"

| A ngel found that her adrenaline was at an all time high as she flew onto the battlefield to meet up with her team! The whole castle siege concept reminded her of her very first concept class along with one of her team mates Risaka where they had to capture mannequins from the opposite team, but on a much grander scale for the world to see! As Angel flew onto the field she spotted a few familiar faces like the monochrome power house Risaka, the prawn looking mutant Charlie and the big robo kitty Yusaku. Aside from Risaka however she didn't know any of their quirks. As the tall goat looking man Chimera began to speak to the group Angel decided to hover over the group so that once they gave the order she could take off to help accomplish their mission. Chimera suggested that they each talk about their quirks and what they were capable of. Angel just smiled at the group with her arms crossed as Chimera spoke about her abilities which included super strength, his horns and super hearing. That would indeed come in handy with sneaking in. Once it came to Angel to speak she just gave everyone a peace sign and a big grin. This was going to be fun she could just tell especially with Chimera's suggestion of their heaviest hitters going through the front gate as a distraction. "As you all probably know just by looking my wings allow me to fly! I also am capable of hardening my feathers and using them as projectiles! I am also really fast and super strong! If we are indeed sending our heaviest hitters through the front door I gladly volunteer! I'm quite good at drawing attention! If I may make a suggestion I think that Risaka and I should be the ones to go through the front door. I believe that with a bit of help I may be able to physically rip down the gates for the rest of you if the whole being sneaky thing doesn't work out. If she's up to it I believe the monochrome power house and I should be enough to keep the other team's eyes off you guys and since I'm airborne I could call out patterns or traps if i find them!"Angel grinned down at Risaka. Angel knew from slight personal experience that the monochrome bad ass wasn't much of a talker or much of a people person in general, but she also knew how strong she was when she allowed herself to truly let loose. If the two teamed up there was no gate or defense that could keep them out! As Angel looked down at her team she just chuckled. "Tell me what to do and watch the heavens rain down on our foes!" |

Think it'll work? It'd take a miracle. CHARLOTTE STOOD UNCERTAINLY IN THE LOOSE GATHERING of U.A. students, gravitating flagrantly towards Chimera’s side. She knew him by virtue of being as thick as thieves with Yojin, and generally just being genial with fellow animalistic mutants. She knew no one else—yes, even despite having been in a rather small school with them for an entire year, now, she couldn’t attest to knowing any of them personally. Their faces were familiar, sure, but she kept to herself and her tech. That was it.
Chimera took charge, stating that it would behoove them to know one another’s quirks. Angel spoke first, and… well…
“I’m Charlie,” the prawn said quietly, lest anyone didn’t know her, “I have shockwave punches, a hard shell, and I can breathe underwater, I guess. OH! And I can see in the dark. But I don’t, eh… have… a lot of shockwave punches. Just two. So… I wouldn’t… count me as a heavy-hitter.”
She wrung her hands, proffering a bag of what appeared to be pairs of wireless earbuds. They were further bagged in pairs, and had hollow interiors.
“These are, uh, bone-conduction... sound-activated... noise-cancelling earbuds,” Charlotte said timidly, “I’ve been calling them Bisnack’s… Basically, if I throw a shockwave punch indoors, there’s a possibility that I could rupture eardrums… without these. A high-decibel sound activates the noise cancellation feature, and will help you, uh… still hear afterwards, and maintain your equilibrium.”
Her gaze flicked to the apparent robot, and then to Angel. Did robots have rupture-able eardrums? Did Angel have ears under the ear-cups? These weren’t necessarily polite questions to ask, so Charlotte merely dug into the bag, procuring some slightly differently-shaped (somewhat larger) earbuds, before passing the remainder to the next person in line.
The larger earbuds were passed to Chimera.
“These are yours.”
Charlotte hadn’t known that she and Chimera were teaming-up, so creating earbuds that fit his ears had been a last minute scramble once they’d arrived in the UK. The prawn listened impassively as the other U.A. students described their quirks, and then she turned her attention back to Chimera, who once again took charge of the situation.
“I mean, I sink pretty well,” Charlotte said with a humored huff. Shrimp were bottom-feeders, after all, “But I, uh, have some things that could help with that.”
Whereas last year the prawn had come empty-handed to the Sports Fest, donning her school P.E. uniform and floundering uncertainly through a tournament, this year she was… decidedly more prepared. The prawn wore a neoprene suit, all black, which went halfway down her thighs but still bared her shoulders. It hugged her angular, alien body, emphasizing how thin she really was.
Her suit was lackluster, and the tech that she touted was similarly underwhelming—glorified water-wings to help her stay afloat, single-use and worn like armbands around her forearms—a waterproof fanny-pack with a few small multi-tools and a half-dozen cherry bombs inside—and finally, a rope with a grappling hook on one end.
When Charlotte had learned that they were “laying siege” to a castle, this of course prompted research into what castle sieges of the medieval eras were like. The invaders of yore utilized various techniques—starving the inhabitants of a castle until they ultimately came out, which they hadn’t the time for—blowing-up the surrounding walls or the front gate, which they hadn’t the fire power for (though if Yojin were there, it might’ve been possible)—or scaling the walls. Wall-scaling was, in the prawn’s mind, viable—which led to an impromptu acquisition of a rock-climbing rope and grappling hook. She looked like someone who couldn’t decide whether they wanted to scuba dive, rock climb, or see the sights… but she wanted to be prepared.

Luka moved out into the outer courtyard with far more confidence than he felt, a broad grin spreading easily across his face. He moved with smooth grace towards the other U.A. students as they gathered for their pre-fight planning. He was rather excited to be attacking an actual castle, and part of him was sad that they weren't going the full performance by wearing appropriate attire. Oh well, it could still turn out to be quite fun. Some of the students he recognised from either chatting with them or seeing them around campus, and he gave Yusaku a little wave as he approached. The robo-boy was the only one in the group that he really interacted with outside of the student chat. His attention however was on the tall crustacean-like individual, eyes wide as he took in the colours of their exoskeleton. He'd certainly never seen that person around before, and he was rather entranced by the unusual mutation. While waiting for the others to gather, he played around with his hand, shifting the outer layer to resemble the person's shell, trying to emulate the colourations that had him so curious.
The time to play ended fairly quickly though, with the tall figure of Chimera starting them off. Luka didn't butt in, but he didn't feel like playing the backliner this year like he had in the Sports Festival last year. It was time to make himself more known amongst his peers. "I'm Luka," he introduced, looking from one person to the next, "I'm a slime, I'm able to do a fair amount of damage but I'm also pretty good at stealth." He held up his hand for them to see and manipulated the outer layer so that it took on the colour and texture of the stone they were standing on. "I'm able to fit into almost any opening and move around however I want, and my biology is not exactly normal by any definition of the word," his accent had come back since returning to Europe, the Germanic heritage clear for those who knew what to listen for. Taking the earplugs from the large shrimp-like person that he now knew as Charlie, Luka rubbed at his chin in thought at the ideas put forward.
"The idea could work, but with respect, neither you nor Charlie are particularly inconspicuous," he remarked, looking at Chimera and then to Charlie. They were both about half a meter taller than him (if you counted the horns on the goatboy), not to mention their rather unique appearances. "Perhaps a three pronged approach? Heavy hitting frontal attack, a 'stealth' approach by water, and then myself as another infiltrator. They're going to be expecting us to split up once it's clear that only a few people are going for the front gate. I could either go in solo, or cling to one of you in disguise and detach when needed..." he trailed off in thought while shrugging slightly, "we also need to figure out what the best course of action once in would be, do we try and regroup as a whole, each try and get through to the King? Or stay in assigned groupings? I can see the benefits to each idea, and the weaknesses. They're also getting to prepare for us, which could leave us at a massive disadvantage. We could always try a Blitzkrieg I suppose, for the sake of irony." He snickered slightly at that thought, a German tactic against a German school, suggested by a German boy.
Another thought occurred to him as he stared over at the castle, trying to figure out what he'd do if he had to defend it. Anticipating what the opponent might do would be very important if they wanted to succeed, but there was another factor that definitely needed to be considered. "Does anyone have any intel on our opponents? If we know what quirks we're facing we might have a slightly easier chance at it," he inquired, looking up at his peers curiously. He hadn't fought Adler last year, so he had no chance of knowing what they might bring to the table. It was fairly important that they had a good plan before they made their move, otherwise they could fail before they even got into the castle.

RISAKA REINACHT
Second Year U.A / Miss Gray''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words • tagged @ • notes | Why exactly did she join this competition again? From last year she got distraught by the annoying tournament and especially the aggravating cavalry challenge. Risaka felt a heavy burden on her shoulders for stepping back into the big scene, she didn't appreciate the attention, but then again she can't deny this sort of challenge is perfect for growth, and oh boy has she grown ever since the first Sports Festival.
She didn't really knew where she wanted to go at first when signing up, infact, she just chose this siege thingy by total coincidence, like a dart hitting in the dark. With zero clue for what this challenge was about she simply stood there with her arms crossed and an unamused expression, silent as ever, listening to the details of the event.
And of course, seeing who she is gonna play along with didn't give her exactly any positive vibe, at least none of them have psised her off before. 'When are we starting anyway? All this planning do very little for me.' She thought to herself as the rest of the team exchanged ideas and suggestions, eventually coming to a conclusion that she was part of the 'frontline'. As if she could go anywhere, her quirk was simple and extremely direct, that is what she does best, overwhelm the opponent.
And this shrimp girl has a punch that can create a shockwave powerful enough to destroy eardrums? Hopefully they won't be near Risaka when she penetrates through the castle, she'd get quite upset if she gets her ears hurt mid fight.
It did seem like people are in agreement to what to do, the gray lass began to bend down and practice a few stretches, she wore an elastic suit underneath her coat that are perfect for her high mobility playstyle. She is very certain that no one on her team wants to try follow up her speed, so she is already planning on how she's gonna venture through the castle once she oblitirates the front gate. From the looks of it the gate did not seem that sturdy at all, hell, if she wanted to she could attempt a high velocity kick through the stone walls for a surprise entry, but that is quite risky considering that she has no idea what can be waiting behind those walls.
''I prefer to do things my own way.'' She finally spoke, making sure her team heard her clear as day. ''The moment I bust down that door I will hunt down any enemy and take them out before they get the chance to retaliate.'' She cracks her neck and knuckles tensing her body up to prepare herself both mentally and physically. ''I am very certain I will gain their attention if I strike their castle right away, last thing we want is for them to prepare their defenses, strike them down when they are not organized.''

Click click click clack clack click tlac. Yusaku's plates locked into place as he listened at each one of his assigned teammates strategize for the task ahead. Well well, there he was again. Another year, another fight against Adler. Well at least this time he had more than enough intel on all the opposition. It would certainly make things easier.
Turning over to Luka, Yusaku's mostly neutral expression melted into a more happy one as he waved back with his big hand-paw. The cute slime boy seemed quite determined today. Good Good. Adler was something that could not be taken lightly.
"Yusaku Izumi, 2B. Basically, I'm power armor." He explained himself simply. It was getting old. "If any of you guys want to wear me, I can make you super strong or super fast. Also I have tazer paws." He added, demonstrating by making his hands sparkle. "I already fought Adler last year, so if there's anything you people wanna know...now or never."
With that said, he quickly skimmed over every memeber of the opposition on his HUD and threw out a couple pointers as well as all the quirk usage he had recorded. Knowing is half the battle. "Alright so, quick infodump on couple people I dealth with last year. Shatterer: Stefan G-something something. Whatever the guy touches turns into glass. Last time he was turning the ground into a sea of shard to restrict movements. I don't care as much about it cause I'm metal, but you all be on your toes. Then we have Manuel. The guy basically starts doing a thing slow and gets faster at it. He can overclock his body or something but that kinda fucks him up so perhaps people running into him should do that."
Then, he'd poke his head "no ears. Earbuds are no good for me." With that said, he didn't bother saying anything else as he waited for people to organize and strike.
Introduces himself and quirk, tells people about Adler quirk he knows.

The stage was set. Both teams were either done preparing, or finishing the last of their preparations. Soon, the fated showdown would begin. Soon, the crowd would see the start of the siege. So many questions in mind as the audience eagerly anticipated the start of the battle. How would UA start off their attack? What defenses would Adler provide? And most importantly, who would emerge victorious?
The announcer encouraged the audience to count down alongside him. "Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! Three! Two! One!
BOOM!
A loud cannon was fired in the distance. Nothing was actually loaded in it, so there was no need to worry about any actual casualties, damages, or anything of that sort. But with the firing of the cannon, the siege on the castle had officially begun.
"Okay, time to move!" The Adler students had already made their discussion and planning, so they wasted no time running to their positions. Their strategy was simple. There were three main ways to enter the castle proper. The first and most straightforward way was through the front door, past the barbican and gatehouse. The second way was swimming across the moat to an open passage leading directly to the courtyard. And finally, there was flying up past the moat and castle walls to reach the courtyard. The plan was to make it as difficult as possible if not outright impossible to let the UA students enter through any of these three routes.
The first method of entering the castle, the front entrance, was naturally fortified and would be the hardest to break through normally. After all, what was the point of having a main entrance that did not make it difficult for invaders to enter via the front door? The barbican was a thin and enclosed passageway, which would make it easy to lay down some traps as the invaders tried to make their way through. Small slits in the wall from which to trigger motion sensors and fire arrows and things like that were but a taste of what any UA student who chose to head in through the front door could expect. Just past that would be the gatehouse, which while not as narrow and restrictive, was filled with doors and corridors that were meant to confuse and disorient anyone who tried to walk in. Pretty ideal for fitting in larger and more elaborate traps. Just past the barbican and gatehouse was a thick reinforced door. It was incredibly tough, and only the strongest of the UA students would be able to knock the resilient door down in a timely manner.
But assuming that one of the UA students did break the door down, there was a nasty surprise waiting for them on the other side. Stefan was waiting just above the doorway. Up above the corridor that led straight into the inner courtyard was a relatively thin ceiling, which had loads of traps sitting right on top. As soon as someone broke through the door, Stefan could use his quirk to weaken this small ceiling just enough for it to shatter and send traps raining down on the enemy's heads. Of course, these traps would not do much damage to anyone that got hit, as injuring people was not the goal. Rather, they would serve to slow down anyone who tried to run past the door. These traps varied from nets that were annoying to break through, sludge that would stick to people's bodies and harden enough to make moving around difficult, oil that would make the floor slippery and make falling down a scarily certain possibility, and small mechanical orbs that would release small amounts of electricity that were only slightly weaker than a taser. All these traps courtesy of Adler's Support students.
Next was the small passageway to the right of the main entrance. If one wished to avoid the front entrance, they could easily swim past the moat to reach this entrance. But of course, covering this entrance was to be expected of the Adler students. Here Manuel was, keeping a lookout for any of the UA students who decided to go for a swim. He had several tricks up his sleeve to try to stop anyone going through this way. First was his own quirk. He could punch the water repeatedly and build a combo. With how hard and how fast he could punch the water, Manuel could be able to create a current that would push any swimmers away. And the longer he punched, the stronger the current could become. With this, he could hope to either prevent anyone from swimming over his way, or force them to tire out after swimming through such a powerful current.
Still, he had more ideas up his sleeve in case punching the water proved to not be enough. With him was what looked like a harpoon gun. Fortunately for the UA students, this gun would not impale them if they got shot. Rather, this would release a net which would capture and restrain whoever was caught by it. And in case that wasn't enough, Manuel had a cannon right next to him that he could aim and fire with. The cannonball would not leave a serious injury, but getting hit with one would undoubtedly hurt quite a bit. Needless to say, swimming past the moat would not be easy.
Arguably the easiest way to bypass the castle's defenses was to simply fly over the walls and land inside the inner courtyard. But of course, the twins were there to try to prevent anyone from cheesing their way through. Using their magnetism, Helen and Elena got up to the top of the castle's front walls. From up here, they would get a clear view of the front of the castle. If anyone tried flying up, the two would see them clear as crystal. And the twins had a myriad of anti-flight tools at their disposal.
First up was the various cannons that were up here. They were all already loaded, so it was a simple matter of running to the nearest cannon, taking aim, and firing at will. Some cannons were loaded with padded cannonballs that would inflict damage but no serious injury, while others had nets in them that would aim to capture its target. These would then release a parachute so if anyone did get captured, gravity would not kill them. But in case any fliers proved to be too agile in the air, there were two modified gatling guns. But rather than firing bullets, these things would fire gunks of gum that would stick to a target's wings, adding weight and making it harder to stay afloat. A couple of accurate shots in, and any fliers would slowly begin to descend. That way, it was safe since they would not lose altitude too quickly and there would be no need to worry about crash landing or falling from a great height without warning. And if someone were crazy enough to try climbing up the wall? There were a couple of buckets of green slime lying around and waiting to be used to make the walls far too slippery to properly climb.
So with all three main entrances to the castle covered, it was safe to say that UA would not be having an easy time getting to the inner courtyard. But of course, it was difficult to account for everything. What if there was a fourth way to get in? What if someone tried to sneak inside unnoticed? But that was what Amanda was for. She would be patrolling the inner courtyard, armed with a mini cannon. It was basically a modified paintball gun. But the reason she was given this task was due to her quirk. She could 'see' the pulse waves of others. So it was simple. If she noticed a pulse that was out of place, then it was an enemy trying to sneak inside. And with her blaster, her net, and a retractable staff, she was well-equipped to defend herself against any intruder long enough for her to alert the others.
With the defense all prepared and confident in their planning and preparations, how will the offense fare?

671 WC ONWARD AND UPWARD!! | Chimera listened intently as the team went around, giving a brief introduction to themselves and to their Quirks in more depth than what they might have just figured out from their appearance or from passing conversations. Angel was strong as well as a flyer, and she could use her feather as projectiles. Nice. She could take the air. Charlie could punch the absolute crap out of things--Chimera took the larger pair of earbuds as soon as they were offered and awkwardly set them under his floppy ears into the actual hole--and had her tech to help her. Very nice. She'd have no problems with the moat. Luka was...literally a slime boy? He could get around quickly and could probably avoid being spotted very well. Squishy. Also nice. If he had a sneaky way to get around he wouldn't even need their help. Risaka was sheer blunt-force-damage that could get a lot of attention and tank a lot of hits, and was fine with going in the front door. Also very nice. Now onto Yusaku, though...
Hm. They were in a weird spot where Yusaku was simply better suited to being with another person--essentially acting as their suit--than by himself. The question was who was he best with. If Chimera was going in the water with Charlie, the kind of strength he could lend him wouldn't be as helpful as it would be somebody going in loud. But for some reason he didn't think Risaka would want the help--let alone want to wear Yusaku. Call it an instinctual feeling. He'd need to pick a better partner. But he did have some information on the other team that the rest of them didn't so that was a good start.
Glass and speed. One of those sounds simple enough, but the glass could be...iffy. What qualifies as "anything"? Does water count as "anything"? Could he turn the moat into a sea of glass? Yikes. Chimera swallowed.
This means somebody in there has a Quirk that could easily draw blood.
...I've got to avoid him at all costs.
Chimera was thinking while he heard the audience begin to count, and thankfully the earbuds helped with cancelling that--and the cannon fire--out. He still held to the same frame of an idea he'd had before, only now with more details, he had a better vision of how this could go. He started talking as he started walking away from the middle of the field. "Alright! I like the three-pronged thing! Risaka, Angel, frontal assault? Somebody don Yusaku? Charlie I'll come with you on the moat. I'm not a strong swimmer but I've got a hell of a grip if something tries to push us back. Luka...either with us and we'll get you in sneaky like, or...can you scale the wall with your slime? Or find a small way in and squeeze through? You're our best bet at getting to the "king" as fast as possible." He waited just long enough for confirmations, denials, or however else the rest of the team would respond, before tapping Charlotte on the arm and moving with her towards the water. Wherever she found to be the best point of entry, he'd follow her lead on. It was her element after all--he was just here, for now, to act as an "anchor" until they found a point of entry.
"Is it too late to ask you to make sure that leg glitch is completely gone from my suit?" Chimera joked with Charlie as he slid down the shallow wall to the water. "At least this dumb thing's waterproof, right? Shame it's not anti-static."

| A s the rest of the team began to share what they could do Angel just listened silently with her arms crossed as she hovered slightly above the group. The first up was Charlotte who had special shock wave punches, could breath underwater, had a hard shell and could see in the dark not that it could be applied to their current situation. She also seemed to have brought some gadgets with her including some special ear plugs which she offered to the group. Once they were offered to Angel the young girl just removed one of her hearing aids to show the group that she had no ears under them and only round jagged holes where her ears and ear drums were supposed to be before putting the hearing aid back on. "Thanks for the offer Charlotte, but as you can see I'm completely deaf without my hearing aids so i couldn't use them even if I wanted to! Neat gadget though! 10 out of 10 would recommend!"Once she praised Charlotte Angel went silent once more as Luka explained that she was basically a slime like in a roleplaying game and used that as an advantage in stealth. This caused Angel to stroke her chin with a grin which only grew as Luka suggested a three pronged attack of water, land and sky so that they could hit their foes from all sides. As Luka suggested they needed to figure out a way to regroup or even if they should Angel just giggled slightly. "I believe that I and Risaka should stay outside and draw fire. If we all go inside we might end up getting swarmed. Someone has to keep their heavy hitters distracted, and besides my quirk isn't really indoor friendly and Risaka might just bring the whole place down just to win! Though if you wanna cling to me I can get you in close so that you can go in through the top. They wouldn't be expecting that!"Angel playfully chuckled as she teased the ever grumpy Risaka! Speaking of it was her turn to go next and as always she wanted to be the lone wolf causing Angel to roll her eyes playfully at the monochrome grump. Though for all her teasing Angel couldn't argue with results! Though it was probably best the rest of the group knew Risaka's quirk and so Angel cleared her throat. "What Ms.chatter box here forgot to mention is that she has the ability to absorb all the colors within a given area and then use them to increase her power and I believe use them as energy blasts. I've worked with her before and trust me she's more then capable of getting their attention."When Yusaku's turn finally came up Angel finally stopped cracking jokes as the big robo kitty mentioned that he was basically armor for someone else to wear where he then could make them super strong or super fast and give them taser hands. This caused Angel to grin widely. She then listened to the info on two of their foes and by the time he was done Angel was holding each of her hands down to Luka and to Yusaku with a wide cheshire grin. "I totally call wearing Yusaku the robo kitty! You can increase my already awesome strength so i can rip down the outer defenses so I can get Luka to the top of the castle! You can also feed me info and help with strats! There is no way they will be expecting three of us to go in the same way! We so got this!"As the count down began Angel just grinned down at Yusaku and Luka with her hands out stretched to them as Chimara finalized their plan. Once the boom of the cannon happened a fire seemed to light in Angel's eyes. "Shall we storm the castle and kill a king you two!?" |

Think it'll work? It'd take a miracle. CHARLOTTE LISTENED IMPASSIVELY TO THE REST of her classmates' introductions. Or perhaps a more apt way to put it would be "her reactions were so liminal that only a practiced eye would catch them". When Luka insisted that neither Chimera nor Charlie was conspicuous, the prawn's mandibles twitched, and her eyes thinned. Well. That was rude. He wasn't wrong, per se, but he wasn't being very polite, either.
Risaka insisted that she would take the enemy out-- classic hero studies kid-- Yusaku rattled-off some information about some of the students at Adler, whom they would be facing. Of course, with no appearances, the intel did next to nothing to help them.
The countdown began, Charlotte shifting her weight from foot to foot. Her heart was hammering with the anticipation of yet another exhibition. She glanced at Chimera-- it would be best to follow him. 3... 2... 1...
*BOOM!*
Chimera gave one final direction, and the prawn nodded. He wasn't a great swimmer, but he had a "good grip". That... could work.
The pair broke into a run, followed shortly by the blue-haired slime-boy, before banking towards the bridge on the left, and towards the dam. Charlotte glimpsed the gateway as they trotted past... but that was... too easy. They'd expect the team to go through there. What they wouldn't expect was for them Charlotte kept one hand on the rope-and-grappling hook over her shoulder, adjusting it as it bounced heavily. Another year, another Sports Fest. Her bioluminescent pores were already beginning to glimmer with the thrill of what lay ahead, but rather than fear in her eyes, they glittered wildly, a grin curling at her maxillipeds.
"I fixed the silly walks command, trust me," the prawn laughed as the two approached the bank of the moat. Already waves were beginning to undulate, oddly rhythmic. Charlotte squinted to the right, towards the apparent source, but saw nothing. It kind-of reminded her of a wave pool at a water park. Hm... her eyes swept towards the top of the wall. The roof itself was peaked, but there were crenels along the edge... probably not enough to support an entire person. And some stone chimneys... possibly strong enough to support a person. Hopefully. She'd aim for those.
"What's your guys's upper body strength like?" the prawn inquired, letting the rope fall from her shoulder, "I'm thinking... that chimney, by the tower, will be our best bet. The tower will give us cover... and it'll give the hook something to latch onto. But we'll have to swim then climb with slippery feet."
It wouldn't be easy, but no one would expect them on the roof-- the walkways along the front, sure, or the entrance from the moat itself... but over the peak of the roof? No way.
Words were exchanged between the trio, Luka offering to get on the end of the hook to help secure it.
"That... would be really, really helpful."
She'd only spent the majority of a day practicing with it and watching uTube videos... so her form was shoddy, and her aim... worse. And time was of the essence. Charlotte adjusted her hold, allowing about a meter of rope. She then waited for Luka to situate himself before she began the process of tossing the grappling hook. Charlie began to spin the hook in lazy circles, building momentum. When she had built enough to reach the roof, Charlie let the hook sail and--
*CLANG!*
The rope was a good deal heavier with Luka coating it, so it collided with the side of the building, and... somehow stuck? Luka was sticky, too? Well... thank God for small favors. Charlotte, who'd winced at the impact, marginally relaxed.
"S-sorry Luka!" the prawn hollered, "Can you manage to secure the hook?! Chimney's about... three meters, diagonally and to the right!"
She laughed, relieved, watching as the slime elemental did his thing. She exchanged a glance with Chimera in the meantime, full of jitters. The prawn wouldn't ease into the water until the hook was secured, and then she would test the hold. Charlotte tugged with all of her weight, leaning back. It didn't budge.
"I think we're in business, Chim. I'll get in the water first and be sure to keep the rope taut for you,” Charlotte insisted. You know, so the hook didn’t come undone, “And then I’ll bring up the rear.”
That said, the prawn waded into the water, keeping her grip on the rope. She reeled herself closer to the wall, one hand behind the other, letting the excess rope spool behind her in the water. Soon, she was flush with the wall, dangling by a mostly-dry climbing rope. She gave a thumbs up—all clear.

Listening quietly to Yusaku's unfortunately brief explanation of the members of Adler that he knew, Luka remained quiet as the others hashed out the overall plan, the small slime examining the castle carefully as he tried to figure out what was the best course of action for him. After all, it seemed that this plan could put him in any of the groups. Well, he wasn't interested in being part of the frontline, especially considering the grey girl's overall attitude. His best bet at the moment would probably be to go with Chimera and Charlie, and use their conspicuous approach to disguise his own. With the sound of the cannon shot telling them it was time to move, he followed alongside the two much larger mutants, keeping them between himself and the castle to hopefully make it less likely for Adler students to have noticed him compared to his teammates.
Between Chimera and Charlie's conversation, Luka came to a conclusion. "If you're strong enough, I could hold on to that grappling hook and you can throw me up onto the roof. It means you won't have to worry too much about aim, and I can seem like I'm just part of the gadget," he suggested as he stood with the others between himself and the castle, trying to keep his already small frame smaller. It'd be unfortunate if Adler worked out what they were doing. It didn't take Charlie long to agree, and with her dangling the hook in front of him the small boy's body melted into a blob of translucent slime, a tendril pulling his vicous body up onto the three pronged hook where he distributed his weight as evenly as he could and promptly turned a metallic grey colour to look like something more 'technology-based' so to speak. "Ok...lets try this" he said once he was ready, preparing himself as best as he could for what was to come.
He was not prepared.
It was kinda fun at first, the first few rotations feeling a bit like some sort of amusement park ride. And then it picked up speed, and fun became a thing that was unimaginable. If Luka had a normal stomach he might have lost its contents as Charlie spun him around and around, the building force making it harder and harder to stay attached to the hook. It was only due to the fact that nearly his entire body clung to the device that he could keep himself in place. And then Charlie sent the hook through the air, his added weight throwing off her aim but increasing the speed and momentum of the hook so that it hurtled towards the castle too far and too fast. With a dull 'THUD' sound, the slime boy hit the side of the wall. Instinctively his slime reached upwards, catching on the edge of the wall above him and hauling both himself and the hook up with him, he didn't want to do that again. That had hurt, but he had a job to do and he was determined to do it. Moving as quickly as he could, the small slime pulled himself up and quickly wrapped the hook around the chimney, tugging on the rope three times when he was done to let Charlie know she had a connection.
He took a moment to himself to recover after that, his body aching with what would have been a nice bruise in a normal person, but meant a solid ache through his for him with no physical differences. Up on top of the tower he would be able to slide to the edge and peer out at the walls below, letting him watch the members of Adler patrolling. Taking in the general positions of the German students, he slid his way down the opposite tower wall, slime extending to give him a slow and stable 'foothold' on the lower roof and allow him to practically trickle downwards with the tower itself blocking him from view. To make it even harder to notice him, his body had changed colours once again to resemble the stone he was moving down. Hopefully it was an unnecessary precaution and the rest of the team kept the attention of their opponents. Once safely down and hidden, Luka would consider his next move for a few moments.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words • tagged @ • notes | Seems like everyone else on the team was set on their thing, well, except for two that was gonna go with Risaka, at least that's what she gathered from the overall conversation. They all focused on such silent approaches, the enemy are probably gonna expect this sort of thing which made Risaka all the more confident on her own judgement. For her this was another form of chess, something she believes to be applicable to every situation, even storming down a castle of all things. She did hear about the shatter quirk that opposing team got in their side, turning stuff into glass? Now Risaka has no problem with combating glass considering how sturdy she turns once her quirk activates, but it would not be practical if she were to storm through a floor covered in glass, that is at least what she assumes the enemy team will do.
''The glass will be definitely used defensively, on spots where we can't see it before it's too late. Or worse, maybe this 'shatter' quirk turns the floor weak and make us fall through, hard to say..''
She merely spoke to herself, holding her chin she knew that gaining the enemy's attention could potentially backfire if they indeed make the obvious entrance a hellhole, can't exactly create chaos for the enemy if they have put their focus on the entrance.
''But the castle are mostly made out of stone and stacked bricks, by default it should be easy to penetrate no matter which direction, even if the wood are considered more soft..''
She looked back at the team, and then the match officially starts. She sighs and didn't truly know what to go for right away, but she can't waste time either. She activates her quirk, absorbing a great amount of space around her for all of it's colour, making herself all colourful and messy.
She then brings her attention to the winged student, Angel was it? Risaka remembers her, just not in the most positive manner. However the winged girl did put up a good point that Risaka wants to capitalize on, altitude. If there is one thing Risaka lacks then it is effecient ways of getting across gaps and still keep a strong enough momentum.
''Yes yes, we'll storm the castle, or at least I will, I'm gonna blow a hole on their left side, across the moat, all I need is some height and a solid swing..''
She looks at Angel with unamused eyes but raises her colourful hand up into the air. ''Pick me up and swing me towards the wall on the left, and make sure you give me enough air time, okay? I won't ask again..'' Risaka was more than ready to do this plan, this will give her an easy access and also less likely to encounter problems, when was the last time someone puts traps next to a moat anyway? Although Risaka hopes she can just piledrive through the wall in one go and start creating a havoc. ''You said you don't want to be indoors then take the fight further up on the roof, if I gain attention from below surely they won't be expecting an attack from above aswell..''

Alright then, showtime!
"Please stand still, Angel-chan. Wouldn't want to crush you now." Yusaku stated as he quickly unlocked his plates from their usual positions and opened up wide. A swift motion and Angel would be scooped up inside the soft padded inside of the robot. Thanfully, he had more than enough practice fitting in people with wings. He would have no trouble leave them free on his back while he armored up the rest of his friend's body. Starting with the feet, Yusaku would make sure Angel's own were aligned and comfy inside his own big paws. Once he was sure, he would quickly close up all the way up to his waist area. Before closing up chest and neck, he'd make sure Angel had wiggled her arms and fingers in. Finally, he'd eat up Angel's head into his own, sliding his visor over her eyes and lighting up his hud.
One moment to get comfortable, then Yusaku squeezed around his pilot as to eliminate any wiggle room. Considering Angel would have not only to shoulder him but Risaka too, he'd better feel like a second skin rather than dead weight. Happily wagging his tail around, Yusaku stretched lightly before handing control of his movements over to Angel.
"And there we go! Fusion complete, Power UP!" He squealed in his pilot's head. "You focus on getting us in now yeah? I'll handle the weightlifting."
Yusaku fuses with Angel, upgrading her strenght to C rank. He lets her move around and do stuff.

786 WC The itsy-bitsy goat boy | "Is that what we're calling it now? Or was that the code's name...fucking hell, Yojin's not even British!" Chimera grumbled softly while he waited for Luka and Charlie to get themselves into position. Charlie's question about upper-body strength was met with a wide toothy grin, his anxiety pushed aside a moment when he realized this was going to lend well into his abilities. "I can toss a grand piano, I think I can yank my skinny-self up no problem. Hell, I can also pull you up if you can hold on tight enough." While he spoke he kept himself just on the lip of the moat. If he was going to be pulling himself up he wanted to keep himself dry as possible. Wet fur did not a good grasp make.
He watched Luka...melt...which was an interesting as hell sight honestly. He went from "normal looking" person to "blob" so fast Chimera had to blink to be sure he wasn't seeing things. Was...this what he really looked like? Was this close to what Elise really looked like? What was that like for Tetsuko? Did they melt in the summer? He knew their Quirks were slime-related but to be a literal slime was really something else. Not in a bad way, just in a weird way! Good weird. And all these thoughts made him sound like his crazy little siste--
Chimera's musings were interrupted by Charlie slamming Luka into the wall.
Oops. Ouch.
Well it could have been worse, she could have over-shot him...
He winced in sympathy. Ooh, that had to hurt. "Uh, can he self heal? I can't remember if he can self heal." Not that it mattered too much, since, despite his impromptu bashing against the castle, Luka still managed to snake his way up the wall and get himself--and, just as importantly, the grappling hook--into the right position. Charlie drew the rope tight and Chimera bounced on the heels of his rabbit feet, rubbing his paws together. He moved quickly, trying to keep his hands above the water as best he could, and as soon as he was close enough to Charlie he grabbed hold of the rope and pulled himself up, locking his ankles around it while his hands grasped it, one in front of the other.
He started pulling himself up. And, as expected, it was easy as hell. Despite having hardly any visible build (blame the fur) Chimera was strong enough to lift every single person at U.A up over his head--not all at once, but maybe at least four of the "average" sized ones? Things to test later. But just moving himself alone was hardly any trouble. His ears hung limply upside-down and the blood started rushing a little the close he got to the ledge, but before it could become too much of a problem he had reached the top, and maneuvered his paws and claws to grab the chimney and climb up and over.
We're in business now! I've got to grab Charlie though...
Chimera turned to find where the rope was pressed right against the wall and wedged his fingers under it so he could lift it with his own strength--not fast enough that he was going to yank Charlie forward, but enough that she would feel a tug and know to draw closer so he could pull her up as well. Despite her height and build she was still almost light as a feather to him. Easily lifted.
He lifted his ears while he pulled her along, listening intently for the sound of footsteps or voices, or even subtle breathing. He could hear Luka moving--the sound of the slime moving across the bricks was unique enough that it was hard for him to miss--even if he couldn't see him with his own eyes. Not that Luka was the one he had to worry about. Even with as spectacular as Angel and Risaka and Yusaku's entrance was going to be, he was sure somebody would be up here patrolling the ledge, looking for this exact entrance attempt.
They just had to be better than anticipated.
One more tug and Charlie would be in range to grapple the ledge herself.
