| A ngel couldn't help but feel a bit emotionally disappointed as Luka decided to go off with Chimara and Charlotte however as Risaka actually not only asked for help, but held up her hand for Angel to take Angel's ever huge smile broke into a look of visible surprise and shock before it returned to a cocky grin. Angel then stayed stationary as Yusaku opened up and wrapped himself around her body like a power suit instantly increasing her strength. This caused Angel to cheer and chuckle as she grinned under her new helmet. "Oh yea! Now that's what I'm talking about!"Once she flexed her arms and wings she reached down with her right hand and grabbed Risaka by the wrist so that the former gray girl could have a good grip on Angel's wrist much like how Knights would shake hands to check for daggers. She then smirked down at Risaka before taking higher into the air lifting her easily off of the ground. Angel then took off at top speed toward the left side of the moat. As she flew she looked down at Risaka with a determined look on her face behind Yusaku's helmet as she decided to share her plan with both of her partners. "Listen up you two! There is no doubt in my mind that the other team will have one or two of their members stationed at the anti-air defenses to try and stop me and then fire down at the rest of the team. My plan is to drop Risaka off and then use this new found strength to rip out their defenses and take down who ever is stationed there. Once that's done I'll join you Risaka. We have no idea who they have stationed within the inner courtyard as the second line of defenses so it's best even though you like to work alone that you have someone watching your back!"As Angel got closer to the moat and within throwing distance she gave Risaka's wrist a small squeeze before taking a deep breath and adjusting her body so that she was floating straight up as she spun her body in a circle twice to gain momentum before letting go pf Risaka sending her flying toward directly for the left moat wall with her aim being perfect showing both Risaka and Yusaku how much of a marksman she was. Once she let go of Risaka Angel slightly changed course and headed toward the outer gates wall as two young women, cannons and Gatling guns came into view. "Oh this is gonna be fun Robo kitty!"Angel made sure to stop at a middling distance away from her foes just motioning with her hands in a confident and cocky ways like in the movies basically silently saying "Come on then! Bring it on." Angel knew she wasn't the best scholastic student, but when it came to combat strategy and actual fighting there was nothing she was better at physically. As she waited she made sure to speak in a hushed tone so only Yusaku could hear her. "Once I get in close I want you to take control of the tail so that they can't get behind me and double team me. We need to make them think we're one being so if we need to separate they will be caught off guard. We have to do this fast so that the outer defenses can't be used against our team. If needed if I call you sparky I want you to spread your electrical charge through out your whole body if you are able. I'll use my ultimate move so we can taser both girls at once. I hope you are ready to feel like a total badass robo kitty." |

Think it'll work? It'd take a miracle. THE PRAWN RELEASED THE ROPE as soon as Chimera had taken hold, and watched with admiration as her friend scaled the wall with little noticeable strain. She breathed a low whistle. God, hero studies kids were really something, weren't they? She hadn't been aware of Chimera's super-strength, and had at this point determined that he was at least secretly ripped underneath all that fluff. Oh, to have literal muscle rather than some weird... fluid-system. Charlotte didn't understand it much, herself, but before she could give it too much thought, her friend had reached the roof and was peering down at her.
"Hhh-hoo boy," the prawn breathed, trying to shake some sensation into her hands. Being dropped into the water, from anything over one floor up, would probably hurt. Would it crack shell? Who knew. The prawn wrapped the rope, once, around one hand, grasping it with the other. She also wrapped one leg around the rope and pinched it between her feet.
"Oh- okay, Chim!" the prawn shouted. Was this really okay? Shouldn't she try to haul herself up, on her own volition? Before Charlotte had the time for second thoughts, she was being lifted from the water. God, it was like she weighed nothing-- she wasn't small, by any means, just under two-hundred pounds. But Chimera lifted her like she was just twenty pounds.
Charlie tucked her head, clenching her eyes tight. She bumped a bit uselessly against the wall on her way up. She looked skyward, and saw that she was almost to the roof. Once her torso was over the edge, Charlotte leveraged herself with her elbows and pulled herself up onto the roof tiles, a faint wind whipping around her as if to welcome her.
"Holy shit," she breathed, standing shakily. She clapped a hand on Chimera's shoulder, "Th-thank you."
So the height made her a little jittery. She unhooked the grappling hook from the chimney-- they'd need to reattach it elsewhere for the descent-- and Charlotte began to spool the rope as she spoke.
"What'cha think, Chim?" Charlie spoke, switching to English now that it was just the two of them, "Do we wanna rappel all the way down? Or... do we wanna try and break-in on the way down?"
The prawn carefully picked her way over the peak of the roof, growing even more cautious as she crossed the threshold to the downhill slope. She peered over the shear drop of the edge of the roof, assessing the space below for a point of entry. No sign of Luka. He must not've been too hurt, if he was already long-gone.
"I'd rather take my chance with one of the windows," the prawn offered, pointing down towards her feet, towards a window that was less than a meter from the edge, "Rather than having to support my weight all the way to the ground, just to find a way in again."
The prawn had once again coiled the rope, draping it over her shoulder to have both hands free to rummage through her fanny pack. She considered one multi-tool, re-pocketed it, found another-- ah, perfect.
"Multitool for escaping cars-- two seat-belt cutters and a glass breaker," she said simply, smiling. It was by no means ingenious-- there were already far more sophisticated multitools for escaping cars in the world. What was unusual about this tool was that it fit Charlotte's hand perfectly, making it much too large for most average humans. Perhaps a tool like this would be better-suited in the rescue course... but Charlotte was of the mindset that it would shine more here, where the tools were being used for things other than their intended purposes.
Charlie waggled her brow ridge at the implication, "Whaddya think, Chim? Ready for some breaking and entering?"
The prawn returned to the chimney, fastening the hook so that it would be ready for the descent, and looping the rope around the back. She unspooled the rope over the crest of the roof and then let it fall to the ground below.
She tugged at the rope, testing its hold on the chimney. It didn't budge.
"Wanna go first?" Charlie asked, "Or shall I?"
Her eyes glittered with the excitement of getting the chance to show-off more of her "tech" however basic it might be.

Still sore from being slammed into the wall by Charlie, Luka returned to his human form for a few moments to breathe as he realised that he hadn't been spotted. Pressed up against the roof of the castle and hidden from view, he too the time to rub at his belly to try and soothe the slow ache that had built up there from being splattered across the wall. He gave himself a few deep breaths before reverting back to his true slime form and sliding back up to see what was going on. Luka's blue, gel-like body peeked over the rise of the roof to see what had happened. Thus far it seemed that the U.A. students had begun to overwhelm the Adler ones, as he could see Chimera and Charlie already up on the roof and the other three were airbourne without any of the counterattacks that he had expected.
Everything was going better for U.A. than he had anticipated, and that made him very nervous. Still, there was a job to do, and Luka was determined to do it.
Quietly sliding along the other edge of the roof to stay out of site, his body pressed as flat to the roof as he could. Moving slowly to avoid drawing attention to himself, the slime boy went around the outer section of the castle, poking his head up now and then to keep an eye on what was going on but otherwise trying to sneak around behind the collection of Adler students and make his way straight for their king while they were distracted. He hoped they didn't know that he was even part of U.A.'s group, because if that were the case, they wouldn't even think to look for him. Still, he couldn't count on that, and so he had to move as quickly as stealth would allow. Thankfully, considering his small size and unusual physiology, that was easier for him than it would have been for any of the others.
His goal was the large building in the center, not entirely convinced that that was the location of Adler's king, but it seemed like a very good place to start. Maybe they hadn't kept him there, and maybe they had counted on someone assuming they would have moved the king and therefore kept him in place. It was entirely possible to fall prey to circular logic, and so Luka merely took action and hoped for the best. If he found the king, great, if he didn't he could cross off at least one location for the enemy's 'leader'.
Once in place, Luka extended a small tendril of slime and shaped it to resemble a drill. With this appendage, he began to quietly drill his way through the roof, planning on putting a small enough hole in it for him to sneak through, but not large enough to really be noticeable at all. He had to hope that between his camoflage ability and people's natural inclination to ignore things above their head to help him get into the building unnoticed. Alert in case he was spotted, the slime boy worked his way inwards, the thought of possibly ending this already a heady one. That would certainly be something. Although perhaps it would be boring as well, he couldn't be sure.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words • tagged @ • notes | Standing there for a few seconds while Angel was checking out her new outfit and flexing about Risaka grew annoyed and turned her head to eye at Angel with a silent unamused stare. 'C'mon already, the faster I get inside the more destruction I can do.' Thinking to herself Risaka had already imagined the process of the havoc she'll cause from within, surely she'd be a prioritized target by the enemy team.
Once finally getting grabbed on her wrist, grabbing back with equal firmness, she ascended upwards, her body hanging lazily. 'For the love of everything that is good do not drop me..!' She thought to herself once looking down where the ground she used to stand on got smaller and smaller, and eventually soaring above the water which looks pretty cold.
It wasn't until Robot Cat Angel had carried the gray lass a bit halfway across the moat where the swing was initiated. Risaka's body was moved around in a circular motion for two rounds, she really did not like being handled like a mere tool, but this was gonna prove to be mighty effective to penetrate these defense. The second round of swing the grip was released, Risaka flying forward with great amount of altitude where she performs a midair summersault, speeding up the momentum by a great amount before having her left leg striking downwards in a horizontal pose.
She closes her eyes right upon impact, her strength infused Piledrive kick penetrates the traditional crafted stone wall like a missile infeltrating past a heavy tank vehicles armor. The sound of an explosion was heard, considering the silence around the castle structure it is very certain most of the Adler students could hear, or even feel, the pulverizing crash. Stones and dust flew everywhere, from both outside and inside of the wall. Risaka stood on her knee after the succesful blow through the stone wall. She coughs once and swishes the dust away from her face as she stood up to look around her surroundings. It was a large room, not that she cared for the decorations or the structure, anything made out of wood or stone would soon get crushed into mere fragments, more than enough easy task for her.
'I don't see anyone, unless they are hiding exceptionally well, any moment someone might check it out, but that won't be enough..'
She thought to herself that if she wanted her impact on the castle to be significant enough she needed to grab more than one opponent's attention. She focuses on a nearby door, to her left of the room she quickly approached it with her unnatural speed. When facing it only a few inches away she hoists her right leg up and blasts the wooden door off from it's frame with one solid swift forward stomp. Cracking the planks and leaving a mess, and a lot of sound, she entered the next room with intention to break whatever was in there.

Yusaku took these moments to get used to Angel wiggling around and going on about strategies and things. He didn't know why she kept calling him robo kitty but it did not really matter at the moment. As long as she would do what she said she would the rest did not matter. Squeezing ever so tightly around his new pilot, Yusaku's attention was called for when Angel told him to take control of their tail...whatever that meant.
"Uuuh, I always have control over my tail you know. No need to tell me that." He chimed in right after Risaka had been dropped off. "Also you could just focus on attacking. As long as you don't tense up too much or go against me, I can avoid and dodge hits for you. If we are on the ground that is. I can't really do much in the air."
Then, she wanted to have his electricity on stanby. That he could do. "Just give me a nod and I can transfer my charge to any part of our body. Also for the record, we are a single being right now. No need to hold back or anything. I don't break easily so feel free to use all of our combined power as much as you like. The faster we get those emplacements down the better."
Yusaku fully integrates with Angel, agrees with her plan and gets ready to charge his body with electricty as soon as Angel gives the signal.

None of the Adler students knew just what kind of offensive assault UA would try to launch. But regardless of what strategy they came up with, the German students were determined to do their best to stop the Japanese ones from beating them. They were all reasonably confident in their defensive strategy. To keep the opponent from even reaching the castle's interior. As long as they could keep UA out of the castle gates, then it would be a simple matter of waiting.
But of course, no plan was perfect. And as the Adler Academy students would soon realize, UA were definitely anything but all bark and no bite.
Rather than try to crash at the front entrance or swim to the opening on the right, the UA students all opted to approach the castle from the left, whether it be swimming or flying towards the wall, or hitching a ride from a comrade. While Helen and Elena were stationed up on the roof, it was clear that they alone would not be able to stop all of the approaching attackers. Even worse, the two would not even be able to see all of the attackers! Some were hidden from view! Fortunately, the twins (as well as all the other Adler students) had communicators that let them notify the others what was happening. Unfortunately, it would take some time for everyone to come over and assist the twins if something went wrong.
Stefan was well aware that the front entrance could possibly be too obvious for anyone to realistically attempt to enter from. Such an obvious attempt would undoubtedly contain traps of various kinds. After taking a nearby ladder to reach the rooftop, he took out a pair of binoculars and took a quick peek. As he thought, there was no one here. The UA students must have undoubtedly went a different way. Taking out his communicator, he began to contact the others.
"It's pretty quiet here. Manuel, how's everything on your end?"
Meanwhile, over at the opening at the right, Manuel sighed in boredom. He could not see anyone coming his way. It was a shame. It would have been more interesting to fight the UA students head-on rather than wait like this for someone who might not even come this way. "All clear here, too. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone's even coming in this direction."
Meanwhile, Amanda was in the middle of patrolling the courtyard. She listened to what the others were saying in their communicators, while also doing her best to listen for any stealthy intruders. "So there's nobody coming in from the front or the right? Then that means they're moving in from the left, right? Elena, Helen, how are things where you two are?"
Naturally, having the high ground up at the roofs, the twins would have a clearer view of what was happening. Not a perfect visual, as there was only so much they could see with their standard binoculars. But at least they saw enough. "Yeah, I see some winged person carrying someone else!" But it was strange. Only two apparent students? There had to be more than just that! While Helen rushed to the nearby cannon and gatling gun, Elena began running on the rooftop, frantically looking around to try and spot any of the other students. Were they trying to hide?
Then, from afar, she noticed it. It was faint, but with the binoculars, it was just clear enough. A grappling hook, and one person seemingly pulling up another. "I see them! Two UA students on the roof!" Crap, how did they go by unnoticed? Perhaps the Adler students overestimated their defenses, or maybe underestimated UA's cunning? Or perhaps the German students were stretched out too thin? In any case, this was bad! If nothing was done, then the intruders would break in!
"Understood! Try to hold them off for as long as you can. But fall back and regroup inside the castle if you think they won't be easy to keep back."
With Stefan and Manuel being the furthest away, it was clear that trying to get to the roof to assist the twins would ultimately be fruitless. It was better for those two to head straight to the castle. Not just to ensure the safety of the king, but to keep watch for anyone who somehow slipped by the twins. The last thing they needed was for UA to score a quick win before Adler even had the chance to show off what they could do.
Unlike those two, however, Amanda was close enough to where she could go and do something to try and help Elena and Helen. While she was not on the roofs like the twins were, she just needed to be close enough to spot the intruders with her quirk. Even if she could not reach a ladder in time, at least she could keep an eye on the nearby windows. If any of the UA students tried entering through one of the windows, Amanda would see them and notify the others. Perhaps if she was lucky enough, she would catch them as they tried doing so.
But then, it happened. Before the Adler students could do much else, there was a loud crashing sound. Helen would of course have seen the cause of it. The winged student tossing another towards the wall, whose kick shattered it. Was it the flier with that crazy strength? The one being thrown? Or both? Regardless, it was crazy just how strong these students were.
"Everyone, be careful! The left wall has been breached!" At this point, everyone was scrambling to position as quickly as possible. Helen rushing to the gatling gun to take on the winged person, who seemed to be taunting her. Was that some kind of armor that they had on? Well now was as good a time as any to see just how tough it was! Helen grinned as she opened fire, watching to see just how fast and agile her target was.
Elena began sprinting towards the cannon closest to the two students who had made their way up on the roof via grappling hook. Perhaps they would notice her due to her sprinting. But she was determined to stop them from getting any further. Hopping onto the cannon, she turned it to face them, ready to fire should they try anything.
Meanwhile, Amanda was the closest to the one who had smashed through the wall. Still, she felt like confronting that person directly was foolish. Her strategy was simple. Get as close to the target as possible while remaining hidden from sight. Then, it was a matter of sneaking in some attacks while remaining out of sight. Hopefully, she could stall long enough for either Manuel or Stefan to get here and back her up, as they were better for offense than she was.
Speaking of those two, Stefan decided to stay inside of the castle, keeping close watch at the king in the throne room. If someone really tried to make their way here and somehow slip past everyone else, he was determined to stop them. Meanwhile, Manuel was doing his best to reach the area that got breached as quickly as he could. Still, it would take some time before he got there. Would Amanda be able to hold out until he got there?
While most of the UA students were seen and accounted for, there were a few that managed to slip past the radar. First was Yusaku, who was hiding in plain sight. To Helen, Angel was merely wearing some kind of armor. It would not be easy to guess that this armor was actually a student hitching a ride on the winged girl. And then there was Luka, who managed to stay hidden from everyone. It was certainly plausible for anyone to believe that he was currently the one most likely to make it to the king unnoticed.
But of course, things were not so simple. Even if he breaks through the roof above the Great Hall, he would immediately notice a few things. First, the Great Hall was not where the king was at. The room was in fact nearly empty, only containing several decorative suits of armor and two doors. One led to the inner courtyard, while another led to a room that led to the other courtyard. Second, there were several motion sensors around the room. Triggering any would activate the very loud alarm, alerting Stefan, who was actually in the room to the right. Fortunately, Luka would not immediately activate one just by entering the hall from above, as it was not expected for anyone to reach the hall this quickly from above. The choice to either explore the area or try to find and disable any of the numerous nearby hidden traps was his.

710 WC rock throw goat | Hopefully Charlie wasn't the sort to take offense at how easily Chimera was able to lift her up. Given his inhuman level of strength his list of "people I can toss" was pretty long regardless of that person's height. A certain blonde still complained loudly every time he did it though. Height complexes. Geeze.
"I told you you're light." Chimera snickered, speaking in English now, too, as the pair of them were fluent in it. It made it easier to relay plans as well. And Charlie did, in fact, relay away. They could try to shimmy down with the rope again into the lower level, or try their hand at a proper breaking and entering. He was definitely strong enough to punch in a stone wall or a glass window but that didn't exactly merit stealth. Charlie's little tool thingie that she pulled out from her belt looked much, much better for a quieter entrance. He nodded, snorting softly at her waggling brow. "What kind of a hero isn't? Let's--"
He heard voices and his mouth snapped shut, ears perking as his head turned in the direction he'd heard it. Somebody was speaking--barking orders.
Followed by one hell of a crash from the front of the castle.
"Sounds like they've made an entrance but somebody's spotted us. You go first," he insisted while stepping to position himself in front of Charlie and the window she was entering, to put his body between her and the sound of approaching footsteps. When he finally spotted the source it was a rather short girl with brown pigtails headed towards a friggen canon. Great. Lovely. All those exercises in taking blunt-force damage were going to come in handy.
Charging her would just mean Charlie was moving into the castle by herself and he didn't want to do that. The alternative was just standing here like a wall and taking the brunt of the blast, which wouldn't incapacitate him, but would still hurt like a bitch. Still, Chimera was not a long-range fighter. He was only useful up close and personal. So he was only good as a shield until Charlie was clear and he could climb in the broken window and follow after her.
Unless...
"Remind me to apologize to the prop department later!" Chimera's muzzle split into a wide grin, and, taking a few steps to the side of the wall, he took hold of the stone outcropping--not the chimney Charlie was still using as leverage, that would be stupid--in both paws and, with all of his strength, pulled. The stone ripped up from the wall in his hands not unlike a similar large stone in the first round of the tournament. It was heavy. But, for Chimera, this was nothing. More than Charlie weighed certainly but still plenty light enough for him to toss.
He spun around once, twice, thrice to get a good momentum going, and then on the next round-about swing he released the stone and tossed it right at the canon, aiming to slam it into the weapon itself, rather than the person trying to mount it. If his aim was perfect (though it probably wasn't, dexterity was not his forte) the slab of concreted-together stones would get stuck right in the canon's, well, canon. But more likely than that it would do a good amount of damage to the mouth of it, and cause Elena to stall long enough for one of the actual long-range members of their team to swoop down on her. Preferably before she managed to clear the debris and get a proper shot off.
Chimera let out a huff of air and turned sharply to the window to attempt his escape now--assuming Charlie had slipped inside and made it safely down--rather than waiting to see if his projectile hit it's mark. If he was in the clear he'd start slowly lowering himself down on the rope. If not, he'd have to wait for her to hit the floor before trying it himself. "Why is my primary fight strategy 'toss the heavy shit'??" He half-shouted down to her. "Should I just ask one of the supports to make me a weight set to chuck at folks?? For fuck's sake!"

| I t was time for the fun to truly and finally get started! As Angel heard the loud triumphant crashed caused by Risaka's entrance which lead the twins on the wall to run to their battle stations Angel took it as her sign to begin part of her plan! The young robot covered woman in a flash of moment began to fly toward the sister firing her Gatling gun at her. To avoid the shots of what looked like slime Angel quickly went into her barrel roll routine flying in a circle around the slime shots easily avoiding them! As she did so she fired five feathers from each wing for a total of ten aimed at the woman's shoulders and arms in an attempt to get her to back away from the gun for just a moment. "This is gonna be easy pickings!"As Angel got in close she touched down on the wall of the left of the Gatling gun and quickly grabbed the top of it and with one mighty pull she ripped the gun from it's base and just tossed it behind her into the moat at the bottom of the water. She then just grinned under the helmet that was Yusaku before ducking down to attempt a fake leg sweep before standing up fast and pulling back her left arm to aim a full power punch straight toward the woman's gut. "Lightning Jab!"Angel hoped that by calling out the attack name it would clue her Robo kitty partner in to juice up her fist and hopefully it would stun her first opponent long enough for her to attend to her partner! Clued in by the loud crash on the other side of the wall that Luka,Chimara and Charlotte were making their move and that she needed to see to the other wall defenses before they were used against her team. Angel quickly took to the air once more and flew toward the other side of the wall as the giant piece of rock damaged the cannon. "You've got bigger problems sister!"Once Angel tried to get the other woman's attention she like with her partner fired 10 feather's toward the woman's shoulders and arms to try and get her away from the canon before touching down hard, taking in a deep breath and grabbing the cannon by it's nosal and base and with all of her enhanced strength ripped it from the wall before taking to the air a bit and chucking as far as she could into the left moat before looking down at the trio. "You guys go! I've got these two! It's time to show them what happens when they mess with a celestial! I'll catch up!"Angel then landed between the two sisters and popped her neck. "I heard you two were some of your school's best! Wanna come prove it!?" |

Think it'll work? It'd take a miracle. THANK GOD FOR CHIMERA'S SUPER-HEARING. The prawn froze, turning her gaze quickly in the direction that Chimera had been facing. She saw nothing, but she took his word for it. With a quick nod, she turned, using her weight to anchor herself against the roof, and then the wall. She walked a few, short steps towards the alcove of the window, which was… barely big enough for Charlotte to crawl through. She braced herself against the masonry, taking the multitool up in her fist.
Chimera said… something… and vanished from view. Charlotte moved quickly, pressing the multitool against the glass, and she flipped the switch. Ker-CHUNK. The glass spidered from around the multitool. If it had been auto-glass, it would’ve been fragmented into inhumanly small cells that just crumpled away—but it worked well enough.
It was about that time that Chimera lobbed the chunk of stone towards the cannon that was taking its aim at them. Charlotte only paused long enough to see if the cannon was taking aim or not, before returning to the task at-hand. She was sort of tunnel-visioned on the cannon, so didn’t see what took place after Chimera had thrown the debris at it.
Charlotte began hurriedly knocking shards of glass free with the multitool and with her closed fist, trying to create enough of an opening for them to crawl through. She focused on the frame of the window, the edges and the base. The last thing she wanted was for her friend to slice himself on the glass.
With the window cleared, Charlotte was able to duck inside. She lingered in the now-open window, surveying the room. Wow, they’d even gone so far as to furnish the place, how swanky—seemed unoccupied, though, that was good. Charlie listened for a few moments, then slowly stepped through the window, glass crackling beneath her exposed feet.
“Watch your step,” Charlotte murmured as Chimera would, ideally, join her, “This thing worked… very well.”
The multitool was replaced in her fanny pack, but the pack was not closed.
“So where’s the King supposed to be?” the prawn asked her companion, “And do we want to make a plan for navigating the halls?”
Charlotte pulled three of the cherry bombs from her fanny pack, as well as the lighter, before zippering it closed once again. She couldn’t remember Japan’s policy on low-grade explosives—or England’s, for that matter—but Charlotte was banking on her own blissful ignorance. In the United States, such incendiary devices had been banned for over a century, but… well… teeny, tiny explosives were better than a walloping explosive punch, right?

A loud sound caught his attention, telling him that the others had begun the more obvious assault. It seemed like his teammates had gained Adler's attention, and while he wasn't even slightly able to tell what was going on beyond the ruckus itself, he figured that they were doing fine right now. He had his own task to complete, and if he could get his hands on the King quickly then it would make all of their fighting worth it. He had to justify not being there and fighting with them after all, and he could only do that if he used his brain to his advantage. He wasn't going to allow himself to be a dead weight.
Descending down a little from the hole in the roof, Luka looked around the large room for a few moments before withdrawing back the way he had come, after he'd worked out that there was nothing of interest within the Castle's largest room. Bringing himself a little bit away from the hole, he pulled the small communication device up from within his slime body and pressed down on the activation button, whispering clearly into the microphone so that he wouldn't be too obvious, but would also be audible to the other U.A. students. "Target is not in Great Hall. Proceeding further right," he murmured, sliding steathily across the roof once more as he headed towards the next big room just across from the Great Hall.
Unlike the last time, Luka didn't feel confident enough to simply dig his way into the building. With the attacks going off towards the front half of the castle, he didn't have the time to dig into the roof of the next room in any way that could be considered even remotely stealthy. Instead, he was going to go for the tried and true method of going through a window... well, first he was going to check to make sure that going through the window would actually be useful. He'd wasted time entering the Great Hall, time he didn't have to waste any more. So the slime boy slid along the rooftop before slowly dangling down the back side of the building, on the side opposite the gatehouse and where the fighting was happening. It was less likely to be watched so his disguise would hopefully be more useful.
Clinging to the side of the building as best he could, the slime boy would examine his surroundings in search of the target, as well as keeping an eye out for any of the Adler students. Hopefully they would be too busy being distracted by the others, but Luka very much doubted that they had left their king unguarded. Surely they couldn't be that stupid, so if he saw the king without any guards he'd have to be doubly careful in looking for traps. If he could find the King then he could prepare the way for the rest of the U.A. team to come after it, or perhaps even help them come up with a plan to draw away the guards and catch Adler off-guard, taking the king out from under them. That would be the most fun, but working on a time limit, Luka knew that they would have to move far too quickly to really plan that kind of ambush.
Regardless, none of that would matter if he couldn't find the king, and so he focused his energy towards that goal for now, hoping that he could locate their target quick enough that they could truly take advantage of throwing Adler off guard, and keep their opposition on the back foot.

RISAKA REINACHTSecond Year U.A / Miss Gray
''Everyday I ask myself if I even should bother'' words • tagged @ • notes | There was nothing to gain her attention from the room, where did the enemy go? Even after smashing a hole through a stonewall and knocking a thick wooden door into pieces there was no one to stop her from causing even further damage. 'What, am I supposed to take down half of the castle until someone stops me?' She thought to herself with her arms crossed and her eyes scanning the room she entered. Interior was clean, but also lackluster, also there was no traps to be seen, at least from the naked eye. She expected some obvious traps, unless they didn't have time to set up traps around the castle other than the entrance? She stops her track and listens on the faint sounds coming from above, something was definitely happening, did they ignore her loud bang? Risaka couldn't afford to just stand around, if she wanted to make her presence matter she needed to do whole lot more destruction.
Nearing a wall to her right she takes a hold of a large sitting bench, placed as decoration, but not used as a slugger. With her outstanding raw power she held the bench high with ease and gave it a long 180 swing, hitting the large wooden frame against the wall with the intention to create both loud sound and potentially big enough hole. The bench certainly got smashed into splinters, but with a single strike she bent the wall and creating a cracking hole in which she makes even bigger with a folow up kick. The large sound of another wall being taken down flew across the courtyard, where she apparently have now entered. 'This must be the courtyard, but no one here either? This isn't right, they might be hiding and preparing a sneak attack, I must keep my back clear.' Walking slow she entered the courtyard, while not really looking right behind her she focused on listening to any sound that might approach her blindspot.
She kept her position near walls to keep her surrounding limited for sneak attacks, she was more than ready to take on sleek ambushers.

Yusaku took the first moments to get used to the way Angel moved. That was easier said than done, but he somehow managed to cobble up a profile based on her current fighting stance. She seemed to be having a blast with it, so he didn't really want to interrupt. From there, he would just focus on optimization. First, optimizing his plating so that the added wait he brought with him wouldn't negatively affect Angel's speed or accuracy. This was important to avoid too much inertia on her swings and attacks. Overswinging would leave them both open to attacks, so that'd be better if it did not happen at all.
Once he had finally fully integrated with his pilot, time came for him to help her give some oomph to her strikes. While he didn't particularly like the overly anime way of shouting out the attack before throwing it, as long as the enemy wasn't gettin any real advantage from knowing a blow was coming it would be fine, then. Once promptly asked to release some of his charge around his arm he would quickly and efficiently do so. He would help uproot and lift the two emplacements, shifting his tail around to make sure his pilot wouldn't fall over while doing so. All in all, it was easier than the stuff he did with Goro. There, they were moving as one.
Here, Angel was doing all the stuff herself while he simply "pressed one or two buttons" to make sure everything went the way they planned. On that note, Angel's cocky tone was a little troubling. Perhaps she was enjoying her fusion a little too much.
"Hey hey, easy there on the showoff contest." He chimed though the internal headphones. "We aren't completely merged yet and even then, it'd be easier to fight these two without pissing them off." He would promptly add. Fighting Adler was no easy feat. Caution was best right about now. "Besides, I can't help you avoid attacks if you stay this stiff. I'd only hurt you."
Yusaku aids Angel with anything she needs, from extra strenght to electric punching.

It was quickly becoming clear that the students of UA were definitely not ones to be driven back so easily. They were certainly not going to hesitate when it came to fighting back. Elena looked shocked as Chimera ripped a chunk of stone from the ledge and tossed it at the cannon. The girl did her best to try and fire, but the chunk had wedged itself inside the barrel of the cannon moments before a shot could go off. This resulted in damage to the cannon, and failure to stop the UA students from moving on. For a moment, Elena looked to where her sister was as she got off of the now almost useless cannon. But what she saw shocked her.
Meanwhile, Helen was getting annoyed by how agile that winged student was. Why couldn't she land even a single shot? But then things went from bad to worse. As soon as she moved out of the way of those feathers, the girl's eyes widened as she saw the gatling gun literally being uprooted and tossed away. Just how strong was this person? Still, Helen refused to back down. She could still fight, even without help from her sister. So when Angel swooped in and called the name of her attack, she did her best to jump out of the way while also readying herself to brace for impact in case she was too slow to avoid the jab. This proved to be wise on her part, as while she just barely avoided the punch, the electricity certainly came as a shock, knocking the girl down. While not being taken out by any means, Helen remained down, pretending that that one attack defeated her to see what the winged girl would try next.
As Elena saw what happened, she barely had time to react, as she was now the one being attacked. The feathers did not even need to be fired at her to get Elena away from the cannon. It was pretty much useless to her now. She then smiled as she began sprinting toward her sister. Let this one waste time getting rid of an already disabled weapon. Meanwhile, all she had to do was get close enough to her sister. The girl rolled her eyes as she heard the winged girl talk to her teammates. How arrogant! Did she really think so highly of herself that she thought that she could take on two of Adler's best students on her own? Of course, there was no way for her to know that the armor the girl wore was Yusaku, another student. Still, annoyed by that arrogance and by what she did to Helen, Elena looked forward to knocking this winged girl down a peg or several.
"Don't get cocky. We were just toying with you up until now!" And then her sister got up, done pretending that she was taken out. "We look forward to taking you down for real!" It did not matter if the other students got to escape. The twins had faith in their classmates. They would stop the UA kids. But for now, it was time to swat this girl and that cocky attitude of hers. Both girls activated their quirks. Suddenly, Helen was shot forward at incredible speed towards the armored winged girl. Regardless of whether the quick attack landed or not, she would continue to move as she was pulled towards her sister. Then once the two were right next to each other, it was Elena's turn to get launched forward at incredible speed. The twins' goal was to take advantage of their speed as well as the force generated from their quirks to deal great damage as quickly as possible.
Needless to say, the twins would quickly prove that they were no pushover. Defeating them would neither be easy nor quick.
Despite now having a tough pair of opponents to deal with, Angel and Yusaku were at least successful in giving their comrades time to move on without fear of attack. Still, that by no means meant that they were completely safe. Even though the Adler students did not have the time to set up traps in every room, there certainly were enough lying around to make traversing the area no easy feat. While the current room the two were in were safe, Charlotte and Chimera would find a trap waiting for them regardless of which way they decided to go.
To the north was a door that led to another room. To the east was a door that led to the courtyard. Both doors were actually triggers for certain traps waiting on the other side should they be opened. The door to the north had a cannon that was armed, with a string connecting the trigger to the doorknob. Any sudden movement, whether it be opening the door normally or kicking it down, would caught a cannonball to be shot their way. Obviously the thing was padded so it would not be lethal. But it would definitely hurt.
The door to the east had a different kind of trap, though no less annoying. On the other side above the door was a small and very fragile shelf holding several smoke bombs. With the way the shelf was designed, opening the door would cause it to collide with a piece of the shelf that stuck out a bit. This would cause the shelf to collapse, sending the smoke bombs crashing down and immediately releasing their contents. In simpler terms, opening this door meant immediately getting pelted with thick smoke. But simply blinding its victims was not the point of this trap. Mixed in with the smoke was a bit of poisonous gas. Nothing too dangerous, but whoever was unfortunate enough to breathe it in would find themselves feeling nauseous.
Would Charlotte and Chimera choose to head north and trigger the cannon? Or would they go east and get gassed? Regardless of which way they went, there was some kind of obstacle waiting for them. That included a very nasty surprise if they chose to try to damage the surrounding walls to create a different exit from the room....
Meanwhile, Luka would notice several things while he moved around. First, he would eventually notice a door that looked slightly different from the others. This door seemed like it was made of a much tougher material. It didn't take much to guess that breaking this door down was probably impossible. Not just due to the tougher material, but because of the giant fancy lock on it. If there was any place in the castle where the king was being kept, this would be a very likely candidate to be the place. But how to open this lock? Was there a key lying around somewhere? Or were only the Adler students able to open this particular door?
The second thing Luka would notice was simple. Not too far from the locked door were two medieval suits of armor leaning up against the wall, with a window in between. The window seemed heavily fortified, but was still very much possible to see inside. If he chose to peer through the window, he would immediately notice that he was looking into the throne room. The king was right there, as was one of the Adler students keeping watch. Luka would also notice that the door to the room was in fact the very same that he saw, lock and all. He had found the target! In addition, the room's interior was loaded with motion sensors, which would no doubt trigger various traps. In fact, there were several motion sensors right near that same window! Having suspected that someone might try to look inside, Stefan had set those particular sensors near the window to give any peeping tom a nasty surprise.
If Luka looked inside, then the trap would be triggered. It would come in the form of one of the two armors next to the window seemingly coming to life and slowly approaching him. In truth, this was merely a simple robot inside that armor. But hey, may as well go all out with the aesthetic, right? It would withdraw its sword from its scabbard. Fortunately, the blade was dulled enough to the point where the sword was essentially a glorified bat. Unfortunately, it would still hurt to get clobbered by it.
It would definitely seem at first that Risaka was virtually unopposed, free to wreak havoc as she saw fit. But that would change pretty soon, as she was about to finally be met with some resistance. While still in hiding, Amanda saw just how strong this girl was. It was crazy. There was no way that this UA student could be allowed to continue her rampage of destruction. And while there was not much she could do against such an opponent at close range, she had to do something until backup arrived.
So with not much options, Amanda picked up her modified paintball gun, aimed at Risaka, and opened fire.
It was unlikely that the UA student would fail to see this coming. Still, actually landing a shot was not her goal. Amanda's aim was to shoot at the ground and kick up some debris to create a makeshift smokescreen to make it more difficult to be spotted. That way, she could try and remain hidden for longer. Of course, Amanda was not going to complain if she somehow did hit her target. But right now, she was more worried about not getting hit herself. Though she also had her net ready to throw in case the UA student did decide to try and attack. But with her strength, it was unlikely the net would hold for more than a moment or two.
But regardless of what happened, their little scuffle would not last long, as someone chose to crash the little party right then and there. Despite panting from having had to run quickly a rather long way, Manuel grinned as he had finally arrived to take on what looked to be a very promising challenge. "Go on, get out of here." He spoke to his comrade. "This one's mine." And with a nod, Amanda would attempt to get away, assuming that she was not stopped somehow.

705 WC rock throw goat | Chimera heard the canon fire behind him misfire, and smelled the harshness of smoke and gunpowder, and knew, at once, that his tossed stone had hit its mark. Yes! Maybe he was getting a hand of this "aim" thing after all. And it only took him, what, two years? Amazing. Into the room he went behind Charlie, bare rabbit feet carefully avoiding any bits of glass that looked like they could hurt him. Even if he didn't have "beans" on his toes a big enough shard could still cut through his fur. "I mean it did its job, so good for it?"
Now that they were inside the sounds of the battle beyond the walls became more muffled, but still very audible to his sensitive ears. Didn't sound bad out there, but they weren't trying to flank the fight from this angle. They were trying to cause enough noise to draw out the kids lurking around the interior. His ears lifted enough to expose the soft pink skin beneath as he listened--not unlike a bloodhound doing the same--hearing for footsteps or voices. Hm. He wasn't hearing any that close by, but that didn't mean nobody was around.
"The courtyard's through there. So that's just a way back outside," he pointed a claw at the door to the east, "If we need a quick escape that's a good one, but I don't think we'll need it? So let's try this way."
Chimera glanced down at Charlie's hand, blinked, and then sighed. Bombs?
Really?
"Yojin's a bad influence on all of you support students, I swear."
But they did need to make noise in here, so why not. Chimera stepped lightly toward the northern door and put his ear to it, then sniffed lightly. Hhm. He smelled more gunpowder beyond the decently solid (but still wooden) door. A trap? Or just residue from their setting up the canons above? It was better to play it safe than sorry and assume it was the former. "I smell gunpowder," he mumbled, stepping back from the door. Should they use a cherry bomb to blow the door open while they stood at a safe distance? Or would that be too much noise while they were too close to the rest of the fighting. They wanted to divide the other students, not all get stuck in one spot themselves.
"Can't use the bombs yet, it'll make too much noise...a trap could still make a lot anyway." Chimera looked at Charlie, then at the door, then back with a wolfish grin. "How fast do you think we can open the door and duck away? Faster than a 'gun'?" Or canon, it could also be a canon, but how the heck would they have gotten one from the roof down to--oh, wait, right, Quirkers. Duh. "I'm gonna open it, and if I get hit, it'll be a good test of my armor right?"
What's one more bruise earned by making a dumb decision.
Okay maybe Yojin was also a bad influence on him, too.
Bracing himself for an impact of some sort, Chimera turned the "old" looking brass handle and pushed the door inward. He heard a click, a flash of flame, and suddenly there was a large round (not-made-of-steel-but-still-pretty-hard) canon ball coming right for him. He had enough time to cross his arms and duck his head, taking the brunt of the blast with his horns and his armor. The impact still knocked him back, claws making some nasty sounds as they skidded across the stone almost across the entire room. When the momentum stopped and the canon ball fell aside, Chimera was left with some scrapes and scratches on his horns and some bruises definitely forming on his arms. Oh-KAY that did not feel good. But he had just taken on a fucking canon ball.
"That was pretty metal. Hahah. Ow. Oof. Coast clear now? Ow." Chimera rushed over to Charlie and the now open door, which didn't seem to have any more traps in it now that he'd been shot with the biggie. "That. Was not my brightest idea. But it worked. Thing would've made more noise if it hit the wall than me. Ow. Hahah. Ow. Let's keep moving inward?"

| A s Angel kept her eye on the prize as she saw one of the twins fall back she heard the sound of Yusaku's voice telling her to try not enjoy the merge too much and to try and stay loose so that he could help her. Angel was in full fighting mode, but also knew that she wasn't actually fighting on her own and that she had a partner. Once she took a couple more breaths and allowed their foes to get up and reach one another as well as allowed them to get their taunts in Angel just grinned and spoke to Yusaku so that she could be a better team mate. "Sorry Robo kitty! I just love being out in the field and the thought of beating the odds! How about we show these two what real partners look like! First though something is missing from this situation! If we are gonna fight like we are in a superhero movie then we need the accompaniment! Mind picking something out and making sure the world can hear it!?"As she waited for the music to start she saw the two girl's in front of her use their quirks in tandem so that one sister launched the other at a great speed at her foes. Seeing this Angel crouched to look like she was going to meet the rush, but instead used the increased strength in her legs to launch herself so high into the air that anyone who looked up would see her for a brief moment. While she was on her way up she used her right wing to launch five feathers between the twins to attempt to keep them apart. Once she hit the height of her jump she just grinned. "we're gonna rock the world robo kitty!"Angel then used the force in her wings to launch herself back down toward the wall's surface where she had taken off from so that she rushed back down with an extreme speed. As she did so she pulled back her left arm to prepare a punch which she delivered into the ground as soon as the touched down using all of the increased strength she had at her desposal to create a somewhat large crater under her and Yusaku as well as use the force to create a gust of wind hopefully strong enough to knock the twins off balance. She would then stand straight and quickly catch a large pebble as it fell to the ground in her right hand and held it as if she were gonna flip a coin spinning to face the hopefully stunned sisters. "robo kitty, take control of my hand and lock onto the sister in the back! Aim for the forehead and flick the pebble at her! If we have any hope of beating them we gotta take away their power! Aim and fire good buddy!" |
