Post by Principal Kobayashi Touma on Jul 29, 2018 12:24:24 GMT -4
The principal entered the teacher’s room almost dramatically, opening the door with a brusque gesture and walking at a pace that was definitely the pace of someone who had serious business to attend to. In tow was the 1-A girl, Kurama Rinkusu. She was often getting involved with the nurse office, and now it had gotten her in trouble. The kind of trouble that could potentially be very creepy and, more importantly, would sign the end of the heroics program if it got out in the press at large, especially if it was what Kobayashi Touma feared it was. Most of the other teachers were already here, so the principal decided to start the crisis meeting now. He removed his blazer, revealing the black shoulder holster hosting a very real, very black USP .45 under the ex-soldier’s left arm. “I assume you all know Kurama-san over here. You all already know the purpose of this meeting and the situation we find ourselves in, but let me recall them again for everyone.” For a second, he had a much darker look on his face. “A son of a bitch is putting drugs in our water.” It was a very concise, to-the-point summary of the situation, and an absolutely uncharacteristic use of profanity by the principal. He cleared his throat and added: “Kurama-san has new information. Information that could potentially be very bad for the students, the school, and everyone involved, so we have to act right now to ensure the student’s safety and the school’s well-being.” He spoke almost without pause. His tone was both similar and very different from his usual one; on the one hand, his collected disposition and cool were still here, but on the other hand, there was a distinct sense of urgency to his voice. Unbeknownst to everyone in the room but Touma, it was the voice he used when he was giving orders under fire, except with considerably less yelling, as there were -- thankfully -- no gunshots to yell over in the teacher’s room. Yet, a nasty piece of Touma’s mind couldn’t help but think. “Now Kurama-san, I am sorry to ask this of you again, but please recount everything you told me to the teachers.” He turned back to look at the girl and realized how stressing the situation might be for her. He decided to act like a teacher for once, something he wasn’t very experimented on. He placed his left hand on the girl’s shoulder. “Your continued help is appreciated, Rin.”

Blood. Murder. Chaos. Death. Disease. Rot. Decay. Her mouth watered with the idea. Soon, her day would be over and she would return to her own life. Her duties. The school was leaned of the havoc of students. The trash had been sorted. Her car was just in the lot. Miku was well, as was Leviathan. Soon the both of them would leave this school and head to their father's, were the rest of their lives would be sorted. After all, it was him that saw to their uprising. It was only right that they took his advice. Levi would grow to be a hero, while Kasey would listen to the stories. She stood in the back of the room holding a cup of coffee, though now it was cold and halfway finished. She was nervous, confused, and unsure of what to make of the entire situation. She did not have time to cure anyone, much less deal with their problems. She was not a hero, but a janitor. They could find the answers, they didn't need her help. "I'm starting to think that-" her thoughts were interrupted when the principal had opened the door and led a single student inside. That was right, she was the class representative. Surely all of them reported to the teachers directly. That would make sense. She nodded to herself, agreeing with the idea as they both entered. He would have hastily removed his own jacket, only to speak about the drugs in the water. He seemed worried, was any of them prepared for this? No, how could they. This was a mess Kasey had to clean up. But she didn't want to work overtime. ~ Word Count: 281 ~ |

To Disturb the Hive Is to Anger the Queen Hachi sat in the faculty room with her claws entwined in her lap, her eyes cast downward as she awaited the principle and Kurama Rin's entrance. This meeting was called so quickly she hadn't had the time to process everything that was happening...lucky for her, though, or perhaps unlucky for her emotional health, she had been able to reach Rin before the meeting was called to learn what had occurred. According to her and the screenshots sent over, there was a student among the rest that was actively involved in the spread of the QTE.
What was worse, however, was whomever it was had accosted Rin while she was in the infirmary. Physically.
It made her sick.
These weren't adults in a terrible situation--one that nobody should ever have to suffer regardless--they were children. Children with dreams to become heroes and to protect others. Rin was a prime example of that. What kind of individual would dare abuse the trust of their fellow students to drug and assault another? And what other kind of person would then remove the evidence of that occurrence from their video files, only to taunt the victim with the missing evidence.
Villains. These people were not heroes, or even children dreaming of becoming heroes. They were not misguided. They were villains through and through.
And it was one of their own students.
As Kobayashi Touma entered the faculty lounge with Rin close at hand, Hachi sat up straight and met her eyes with as much concern as could be conveyed in her bee-like facial features. She wanted to stand up from her seat and embrace the poor child. This was not the world she had been promised upon entering U.A. This was somebody cruel trying to crush her will and soul.
Whomever it was, they were going to suffer. Greatly.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Embarassment. Rin was embarassed to be dragged along, into a teacher's meeting. It had all happened so incredibly fast. First, Rin had contacted her homeroom teacher, divulging exactly what had been going on, in an attempt to find some support on how to react. The answer had been immediate. Contact the principal. So Rin had, despite only rarely interacting with Kobayashi-sensei, contacted him with the information. His response had been decisive, immediate. I'm coming by to pick you up. Less than five minutes had passed, before the principal was by Rin's door. Sweeping the area, as if there was a risk someone was still lurking, they had immediately moved on to the locale for the meeting. The teacher's meeting. While Kobayashi-sensei easily made his way into the room, Rin was entering in a more modest fashion. Peeking insde, the female was not even convinced she ought to be there. Still, with the presence everyone else exuded, the girl knew full well that there was no running from this. Timidly, while fidgeting with locks of her own dark hair, Rin stepped inside, immediately seeking shelter from all the eyes looking her direction, practically placing herself in a corner. Being in the spotlight, especially when it was something this serious, was quite opposite of what Rin wanted. No matter what, Rin could not shake the feeling that she was there because she had done something wrong. "H-hai, K-Kobayashi-sensei." Rin answered, softly, taking a deep breath to cool her nerves. An exam, with a single pair of adults, was terrifying enough. To stand there, in front of an entire room, filled to the brim with concerned looks, something else entirely. "...On the 26th of July, after having treated students showing severe symptoms of exposure to the drug in our supplies, I sat down in the office to take a small break. I had brought my own water and made my own meal." Rin began her explanation, quietly, looking off to the side, staring out the window, rather than meeting the eyes of any of the teachers. "..I thought the water had a slightly strange taste, but I'm not that familiar with bottled brands." Rin, as most of the teachers probably knew, wasn't exactly sitting on a goldmine. So bottled water was relatively uncommon in her life. "...I began feeling the rush... but it quickly overwhelmed me. My world spinning, the last thing I remember, was trying to send a message to the chatroom, hoping for help."
Taking a short pause, Rin had already opened the different chatlogs on her phone. Placing it into the table, the teachers were free to exchange it with each other, seeing both the threats and the timestamps. "...Elise Eisenberg used her quirk to bring me back, cleansing the effects of the drug. We assumed it was someone attempting to target the nurses, preventing antidotes and treatment... but the threats indicate it might've been.. personal." The fidgeting of Rin's hair increased by the moment. It was clear that the girl was nervous, on edge, uncomfortable. Yet, there she was, still trying her best to stay calm and explain everything that had happened in as much detail as she could. "This morning, an impossible number started texting me. Instead of numbers, it had letters, symbols, even emoji. I was threatened, told that something more was coming for me. By communicating with the person, I attempted to make them give me as much information as I could get... I don't know how well it worked, but, the video recording from the security camera was sent to me as a file, along with the 'hint' that, the one who poisoned me was a male student... a-and that they..." Rin's voice trembled, as she struggled to clear her throat. " ... ... ... shared... bodily fluids... with me."Lowering her head, Rin stared directly down at her feet. At the time, Rin had not been conscious, so the whole ordeal felt almost alien. Fingers curling into fists, all the information Rin had, had been shared to the best of her ability. Even so, recounting the information was making her feel nausea, dizzy, angry... "T-thats... thats all I know." Rin ended, with a slight stutter.

Cian sat in the room where the teachers were to meet to discuss the recent events happening at the school. As far as Cian saw it, it was a terrorist attack. This was a government institution and someone was attacking it with some unknown drug in order to cause fear and harm. And the only reason he thought someone would do that was political gain. Not everyone was happy with the ide of quirks and heroes running around. So it was only natural that something like this would take place in the very first hero school. It didn't sit well with Cian at all. This was the second incident that Yuuei had entered and while the first had mixed but relatively positive success, this whole sickness going around was far more dubious.
He was sitting on one side of the room close to the general studies homeroom teacher Tsutsuji-san. He was wearing what the students and staff almost always saw him in as if he had an infinite number of them in his closet. His black robe covered the majority of his body. Rusted chains hung from the collar and attached to the cloth via padlocks of the same look, color, and condition. Becuase of the chains, he didn't move very much and didn't want to make too much noise. His legs were crossed with his left ankle resting on his right knee. His posture was a bit tense and he was leaning forward in his seat. His elbows rested on his thighs and hands were clasped together just in front of his chin. In fact, his chin rested on both his thumbs, which he had held out for that very purpose. And, of course, the man wore his signature metal mask. Only a single eye could be seen through it as he watched over the room silently. His white spiky hair and a small bit of skin at the edges of the mask were all everyone could truly see of him. In fact, it was doubtful that anyone but the principal had seen his face. And that was only because the man had his records. Convicts often lost the right to privacy.
A single eye followed the bossman himself as he entered the room and explained the situation further. Then, the class president for 1-A went on to explain the texts she received. It was interesting that she was targetted out of everyone else. It led credence to it being a personal attack of some sort, but given the stakes in terms of consequences, Cian wasn't willing to bet on that. What was more likely was that whoever was behind this simply saw a chance to taunt someone directly and used it. But to think that the perpetrator was in the school and possibly even in the class was troubling. They were even able to get security footage of events in question. How odd that was. It spoke to the lack of manpower and staff the school had. Many positions had yet to be filled and this breach was the cause of that.
"I'd wager that..." He started, looking to Kobayashi as he spoke, "this is not something we should keep from the police." He said clearly. It was ironic that a former convict said such a thing, but given the high publicity the school had, it seemed like the best option. If they tried to hide what happened here it was sure to get out anyway. If they couldn't protect the students from drugs entering the campus how were they going to stop news from getting out? The act of hiding it was just going to shine an even more negative light on the school. Either way the public was going to be angry, but at least this way the school could show they were trying to put their best foot forward. "We simply do not have the people to investigate this properly. And I don't think asking children to do so is the best option either. They are still learning after all." He said sternly. He was sure to get some pushback for what he said but if Cian was a betting man, and he was, he would bet on the path he spoke the most.
"Additionally, it'll prove to be an important lesson for the children under our care in the hero program. The police are to be worked with, not circumvented." He explained. He understood that with the surge of villains and their quirks that many people lost faith in the police. Some saw heroes as their replacement, but that wasn't going to be the case as far as the government was concerned. They were to work together for the good if Japan, not to compete. And while it was most likely true that some officers wanted the school to fail or were many even in on the attack in the first place didn't mean that Yuuei should act on its own and try to combat this with what little authority they had. They were not above the law. "A little pressure from the police could cause those responsible to slip a little as well. In fact, I'd bet on it."

the MAMA BEAR is in I failed you, but it won't happen again... Good job, soldier. Looking up as the principal moved into the staff room with a sense of urgency, while his manner seemed to be a bit brusque, Sophie Sequoia couldn’t help but feel a little bit impressed with this new side she saw to the man and the keenness in his eyes as he went about his business. Escorting Rin to the faculty area in order to discuss an incident, the pink haired woman herself had felt the urge to take the role of chaperone given their subject, but there was something about the bearing that Kobayashi showed which felt reassuring, which was saying something given the way they had gotten along previously.
Butting heads when they had started initially because of the methods he used which she found rather heartless, it had taken a little time for the school nurse to warm up to the military man, but things had been getting better lately. Establishing a better rapport because of how she had collaborated with him about the addition of a medical class to the syllabus, now that she saw the way that he was taking things so seriously it was kind of endearing, like a wolf guarding a cub. In other circumstances she might have smiled, but Sophie felt too sombre right now.
I let you down, Rin. The blue eyes of the doctor lingering on the face of her student as she was introduced to the class and an icy feeling of guilt filling the fuchsia femme as she did so, as the young woman recounted the details that she had been called her to pass along, Miss Sequoia couldn’t help but feel the whole incident was her responsibility. That chronic thirst her quirk drove her with meaning she took on the poisoned water and was subsequently incapacitated, she had left the school without their best mind to deal with the problem and while things had seemingly settled in that regard, aftershocks were still being felt and from the sounds of things they were awful.
What in the world has been going on in this school? Not fully aware of the full impact that the act of biological warfare had created until Rin began to describe her experiences, while the quick thinking of the girl permitted Sophie to respond quickly enough in the aftermath that there weren’t that many lasting effects, but apparently there had been one that the doctor had missed. One that horrified her.
Bodily… Fluids? That icy feeling in the pit of her stomach suddenly spreading throughout the body of the blue eyed beauty as her mind make quick work of the connected implications, the doctor pulled her hand up to her mouth as she felt her eyes stinging and small tears filling them. Close to the student in question given the bond they had built between the several times Miss Kurama had needed her expertise and then the girl also having become pretty much the founder member of her trainee nurse corps, Miss Sequoia could hardly bear that harrowing association and stepped forward to get closer to the girl.
There can’t be any way? In this school? A wannabe ‘hero’ who would…? The mind of the medic speeding up so that it would go a mile a minute so to speak, as she stepped across the staff room her senses seemed to dull, but this time not because of some maliciously tainted foodstuff. Instead the numbness that Sophie felt coming from a sense of shock and confusion, while she had no doubt that Rin was telling them the truth at the same time the notion that one of their students would stoop so low drowned everything out as the woman turned to situation over and over in her head. However, for all of her bewilderment, there was one thing that the nurse knew she needed to do.
“R-Rin? I-It’s OK. You did very well…” Desperate to comfort the brave young woman who had come to tell the gathered group all of what was bothering them, while the instinct of the physician was to throw her arms around her student and never let her go, the situation seemed to tell her that might not be the best idea. “T-Thank you for telling us what you knew, I know that can’t have been an easy thing to share…” Not at all intimidated by having the others judge her for breaking that professional distance she was supposed to keep but conscious of the fact that given what she had experienced the last thing that Rin needed was someone throwing themselves at her, instead Miss Sequoia opted to slip down onto one knee and look up at the face of her frightened fellow female, gripping her arm ever so gently so that the student knew she would embrace her if she wished and also that she could readily slip away should she feel overwhelmed by the contact… NOTES • @tag • 821 Words

Aeris Leon Teacher 1-A || Fantasy || Danse de Fee Test...test...Don't test me.. "....Not bad but you may want to." Her voice cut off as she heard the principal enter. While she was hard at work and in the teacher's lounge, Aeris, or rather Fantasy at the moment, had one more door between her and her class's representative. The day was unfortunate enough before Rin's issue came to life. It was that time of the month for her. When the sun perfectly aligned with her street. So she was stuck just a hand high and inside the small doll house she had set up on her desk.
She started to hit buttons on her touch screen, finding a bit of difficulty trying to use her full hand with what normally used a single finger to control. By the time the principal and Rin had thier explainations out, the monitor at the head of the room flickered on and the Blue haired wispy fairy appeared on it. Her wings slopped down without structure. "About time. Mademoiselle Kurama. You may utilize my chair to sit down. You are safe in here with us." With that said now, she turned around from her phone, which was situated like a Large screen tv in her doll house and sat back on the sofa she had there. If she had the ability, she would have just brought Rin in here and let her relax in the one place no one else could get to. Right now she didn't even have the strength of a normal human.
"Unfortunatly I must disagree with Monsoiur Glaive. Yuuei is a Government Institution. An attack on the students here, to be blunt, is an attack on the Nation itself and is a National-level Crime. If we include Foreign Students, such as Monsoiur Pressione in our class, this could be an International Incident. The police could arrest the suspect, but they don't have the same ability to keep it quiet as the Security Minister does. While we shouldn't push the students to investigate this, I am certain these headstrong individuals in our classes have already gathered clues and information. We should be ready and approachable to gather this information and condense it here with investigators." Fantasy waved through the little doll house window behind her to Rin she saw her and felt a little better, despite the circumstances.

“Thank you, Rin,” the principal said. He was sitting down with his fingers locked in front of his mouth and his elbows on the table. If he had been wearing glasses, the afternoon sun coming from the half-blinded window would have reflected on them to save animation budget. He reminded himself once again to be teacherly. “... That couldn’t have been easy.”
As the school was rather new and its principal rather spartan, it was simple and functional. The tables were of balsa and hollow iron tubes, as well as the chairs, with rubbers at the end of it. There were two whiteboards and a single window with blinds, usually half-closed. The long table in the middle the teachers were sitting around was really four tables next to each other.
The first to speak was Cian Glave. While the principal thought his outfit choice a little overly dramatic, he showed dedication ever since he came out of prison, to the point it was safe to consider him redeemed and reintegrated in society, and he was a highly capable rescue teacher despite the appearances. Kobayashi Touma, diligent to a fault, kept tabs on him still.
“Of course the police had been contacted. They’re as fond of the media as I am,” he said, letting his expression and tone hint at his opinion of them. “Forensics were here last night and the night before. The investigation is making progress, and I think the fact that none of you seemed to have realized their presence should attest to their professionalism. We will let the police do their jobs. Ours is to protect and... educate,” he added after a pause as if looking for the word, or perhaps correcting an old automatism. “You raise a good point, however. I will ask our colleagues to organize and investigation class when this mess is resolved.” He emphasized the word ‘when’ and with it his resolve to resolve this mess smoothly.
The school nurse, Sophie Sequoia, was the same as ever, taking care of the students first. It was one of these people whose air color perfectly matched her personality. They butted heads over his methods being too violent before, but since they had been working together to establish a medical program, and her quirk and medical degree allowed him to keep using his methods, he tolerated her. Lately, the little demon on his shoulder had been telling him that it more than mere tolerance. The little camouflage-wearing angel on his other shoulder promptly put him in a triangle choke.
Then, a voice came out of a dollhouse. Touma still wasn’t used to it and thought he never would be. A quirk that allowed you to transform into a fairy was weird enough but still reasonable; however, her explanation of how a street’s alignment with the sun caused her to forcibly shrink threw him for a loop. He thought it was that something had been lost in translation from the French records, but it was indeed the case. Quirks never ceased to surprise him.
“I do think we should approach the students as well. And not only Kurama-san here.” He had to focus to avoid glancing at the janitor when he said that, thinking of Daimon Darren and Igarashi Ryuusei’s little ‘mission’. “International pressure is one of the reasons I’d like for this not to get public.” He glanced at his watch. “I have taken additional security measures as well. They should be here any minute.”
Knowing perfectly well the questions this statement raised, he continued speaking in the same low voice and professional tone he had been using. “Tsutsuji-san, I’d like to hear your thoughts on the matter as well.” His head turned to address the insectoid teacher, and its proprietor did his best to hide his uncomfortableness at the woman’s rather unique body. The army only started allowing quirked people recently.

To Disturb the Hive Is to Anger the Queen As the other teachers listened to Rin's description of events, as well as voiced their personal and professional feelings on the matter, Hachi kept quiet. She was usually the sort who listened in scenarios like this, rather than being the one to speak. However, that luxury was not one this situation called for. She was a teacher and a hero now, and it was part of her responsibility to speak at times like this.
Cian Glave, the Rescue OP's instructor, and Aeris Leon, class 1-A's teacher, had opposing views on how this situation should be handled, and both of them were right...sort of. Still, Hachi didn't speak on the matter until she was addressed directly from the principle.
Ah. Shit. Nerves. Nerves, not right now.
If Kurama-kun could do this, then so can I. Come on.
"...as much as we can see this as an international issue, or one to be brought to the police, we must also remember that the perpetrator is one of our own students. A student whom, if we can assume drugged Kurama-kun's drink intentionally, has access to the substance in question. I don't believe they would have had the time to pour out your bottle and refill it from the tap. That says they are connected to whomever it is who has tainted the water and food supply."
"While this matter with Kurama-kun is very personal, and very upsetting, what we should be focusing on is the likeliness that the perpetrator has connections we may not be aware of. Why they would specifically go for Kurama-kun for sexual assault and risk revealing that connection...I cannot fathom. What makes it further suspicious is the security camera footage around the time Kurama-kun says this occurred is missing. Entirely. Not even in a subtle manner--it's just gone."
"There is a larger issue at hand than just this. But I believe that if the perp is willing to risk exposure by assaulting Kurama-kun, then it's likely...they may try again. I am not suggesting using her as bait. I'm suggesting that she requires protection, in case this happens again. Let police or interpol or whomever we're going to let have this case have it. Our task at hand should be protecting our students, as well as removing any predatory persons from campus. ASAP."
Had that been too much? It felt like a lot. But he had asked for her thoughts, and, well, there they were.
Heaven help her she was not meant for public speaking.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy They were no longer addressing Rin directly. Rather, they were taking the information which she had given, utilizing it in a professional manner, in an attempt to come to an agreement of where they were meant to be taking the problems next. This conversation no longer included her. The girl no longer had any influence over where things were headed. So instead of continuing to speak, instead of imposing her presence onto the teacher's meeting any further, Rin ended up bowing her head respectfully, as Principal Kobayashi-sensei thanked her for her contribution. It really was a strange thing, to be honest. Rin knew that she was meant to be more shaken up by what had happened. It just, didn't feel natural to her body to be alarmed. Waking up, she had been in the arms of Elise-chan. There had been no pain, no discomfort, only confusion. There were no lingering foreign quirks active in her system, no breaches of her decency. So rather than feeling pressured or discomfort, Rin just felt embarassed and confused. Embarassed that something like this had happened. Embarassed that she had been unable to properly protect herself. Confused as to why it had happened. Confused that one of the students, whom Rin undoubtedly was prepared to call friend, had chosen to hurt her in a manner that, had no one found Rin for hours, could've been dangerous to her health, if not outright lethal. "If you'll excuse me, I'll return to my room. I don't believe I have any further use here." Rin also wasn't too keen on hearing what the teachers were planning for. Much preferring to let the grown ups handle the grown up stuff, Rin quietly opened the door to the teacher's lounge, excusing herself, and stepping outside fleet of foot. Back against the door, Rin closed her eyes and tilted her head backwards, taking a few deep breaths in an attempt to regain her composure. Speaking in front of all the teachers was horrifying. Possibly more horrifying than the incident itself. Mostly because Rin would remember what had just transpired. Starting to move down the halls, heading for the dorm rooms, Rin came upon a strange group of individuals. They looked stern, trained, prepared. The cold glance they shot her sent a shiver down her spine. They seemed to be heading directly for the teacher's lounge. Looking after them with a curious expression... were things at Yuuei about to change significantly?......Setting into a jog, Rin did not feel comfortable staying around to find out. Plus, the quicker she got away, the less likely it'd be for anyone to call her back to recount her embarassing story again. Back to the dorms, back to her home sweet home. Back to safety.
