You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ It was only a few months ago that I was free as a bird, flying solo, and now… A bottle of something bright and sporty in one hand a phone in her other, Maya Murasaki hummed softly to herself as she looked over her messages again, feeling peaceful despite her odd choice of a spot to sit upon. Folks’re jumping all over the place to get a slice of this action huh? Decked out largely in black in her easy-going and sporty outfits for her patrols around Tokyo, this particular moment found the dark dish sipping on something sweet and flooded with electrolytes as her legs hung off the edge of a roof that was admittedly more than a few stories up, but honestly she felt little intimidation about her location really. Instead, she felt more at peace sitting above the hustle and bustle, like she was connected to it, but removed. Plus, she always had loved climbing high, now hadn’t she? Yumi Tasukai, huh? For the moment far more concerned with the expansion to her little endeavour which she had currently deemed the ‘ULTRA Squad’ and in particular a potential new recruit to it, after flicking her messages away the martial marvel hummed and did a little search on the name of someone she had been connected to by one of her other juicy juniors, and honestly was impressed by what she saw. High flyer, Model, ASTA darling, but I’ll try now to hold that last thing against her~? It not hard to find plenty of cute little pictures of a cosplay cutie who was attracting more than a small degree of attention from the public for her prettiness and the obvious sense of energy she exuded, though perhaps it was a little untoward for a woman in her position Maya could easily see quite a bit of what the ‘fuss’ was about as she scrolled through a few of her choice selection, and because of this and how she had been forced to reign herself in with a blonde from the same school she had to remind herself she wasn’t a teenager anymore, even if she felt like one sometimes. She was damn easy on the eyes, that was for sure, but that’s as far as she could let her enjoyment go for the time being, wasn’t it? A friend of Kanna’s though, gotta say I’m curious to meet her off that alone… The appreciation of the imagery seeming to link the lavender haired lady to the punkish pupil who had pointed this girl out to her, though it still sparked the smallest note of sadness inside the sable siren to remember how she was forcing back her feelings for that particular girl, she couldn’t help but feel amused all the same to meet someone who might give her a fresh perspective on the fiery fox she was already in the process of taming. I wonder if she’ll have any cute stories? Immensely curious to how her perky protégé was received by her peers if she was honest with herself and also amused by the idea of getting a window into the life of that tetchy teen that the green eyed girl herself would be too crabby to offer, though Miss Murasaki was certainly sure that her day would be about the yummy Yumi she hoped they might get a chance to relax and talk about the fair haired femme who linked them, and would have been lying if she had said that such a link wasn’t in part why she had opted to give this girl a chance today. Kanna had vouched for her, so she was worth a go in her book. Well, looks like lunch break is almost over… Almost becoming a little lost in her thoughts as she continued to peruse those pictures with a small smile on her face and as such noticing the way the time had turned with a sudden sense of haste, Maya shook her head and slurped down the last of her drink as she realized that she better get a move on if she was going to be on time, and then looked beneath herself to check her landing was clear. Stairs feeling as if they would take far too long for her and also far less exciting than her usual habit as well, after stowing her bottle the black beauty hummed and then tilted herself forwards just enough to overwhelm the balance she had been maintaining, making it feel like the wind had suddenly picked up pace when in fact it was her own body that had begun to bluster through the air. Time to make a daring entry huh? Hair dancing behind her head as she felt her form fall toward the floor at rather a rapid pace, while many might have been terrified to find the fact that gravity had taken hold of them Miss Murasaki was instead elated by the discovery, and even took advantage of the turn to pull off something which she thought would be cool. Plenty resilient after and having the acrobatic acumen to throw a couple of loops into her lunge just for the sake of showing off, when she finally hit the ground the young woman imitated a little move she had seen in some old movie in order to really make a spectacle of herself; driving her heel, her knee and fist into the ground with a thump as she let the world know that Ultra Violet had returned to it…

Well this was arguably the most informal internship meet up she’d ever had but… well she heard people working with RedHorn had it just as informal. Some of them even just had them meeting her at a mcronalds or something so at least there seemed to be a more usual place for her meet up with the heroine Ultra violet. When she sent her a text saying some blonde friend of hers had said she was out for more internships and apprenticeships it did admittedly take her some time to connect the dots, having not really had the chance to catch up with Kanna for a while. She’d just been so busy and, well, Kanna was such a rebellious figure that she wondered if the woman would really care all that much for what Yumi’s been keeping herself busy with. Might jokingly try and shut her down for being a cooperate shill or whatever and while Yumi was still solidifying her confidence with that she wasn’t all that eager for one of her closer friends to put her down, even as a joke.
Still, she had to be appreciative. She’d been struggling to find teachers willing to mentor her, or just heroes in general as the case may be for these things. She wasn’t entirely sure why, most of them just seemed to be busy with all the shit going down lately but… seeing someone like Jasmine always working alongside RedHorn, it could make her feel a little envious of the field experience the young heroine was getting. She had her own benefits sure, working with Asta, getting experience with the PR side of things and getting a head start on her career her own way but… she was still starved for that actual, head on, action packed field experience. Hopefully she’d be able to get at least a taste with ultraviolet today.
Pocketing her phone as she hopped off the train, she had dressed in her moderate weather hero costume. Midrift, a gap between the shorts and the leggings, and the sleeves of the upper half leading into full arm fingerless gloves. She was a little chilly admittedly and she might normally wear something over it until she got her electrical charge going to keep her warm, but meeting somewhere so public she didn’t expect there’d be anywhere she could store her street clothes once she had to change out of them. Her amber eyes drifted about the place as she tried to spot her mentor for the day. She’d made sure to google her before coming out but no heads of purple were seeming to catch her eye… this early in quirk society, even in japan, a head of purple shouldn’t be too hard to spo-
Aaaand wham! There she was. Yumi took a step back as the woman landed in one of those old movie style poses, stunning Yumi just enough to get a surprised giggle out of the red head as she spotted the woman before her, recognizing her very quickly from her looks combined with the heroic entrance, taking a step up to push out of the main crowd bustling out of the station.
“Hey, ultraviolet right?” She began, working on being more confident when approaching her Seniors. Sonya kept trying to instill in her afterall she should be trying to see these people more as her future peers at this stage rather than solely her superiors, and that woman had been helping her confidence a lot. As UV rose to a stand Yumi would offer her hand across, cocking her hips with a proud but hopefully not egotistical smile. “Curved lightning. I’ll be your protégé for the day.~”

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ Almost as if I can’t hold myself back when I see something red and sexy, huh? Basking in the glory of her descent from the heavens and as such a little bit surprised when she found someone calling out to her, the golden gaze of Miss Murasaki twisted around to spy crimson hair and a face that she had been staring at through a screen next to her, which hadn’t expected, but she tried to play it off as a cool ‘all part of the plan’ type instance anyway. “What did you think of the entrance~?” Opting to show her playful side from the get-go simply because she knew that the young Yumi was a friend of Kanna’s, though it would have been polite and professional of the purple haired pugilist to offer her own name she instead decided to offer a gentle bout of humour as she asked about something that was a little inane, but honestly she was curious about all the same. It had been a nice landing, after all. “Well, pleasure’s all mine, Curved Lighting~” The answer the woman gave not something she would be delighted about or devastated over all the same, as she straightened up and found a hand being extended to her the ebony empress smirked and grasped it in her own, offering a somewhat delayed greeting with a grip that was firm, confident and aimed to measure the same in the woman before her. “Though with that hair… Gotta confess, I’d feel like ‘Crimson Thunder’ was the more obvious fit for a name~?” Certainly sensing that this scarlet student had a bit better manners when it came to her superiors than the brassy blonde who had sought to connect them, as she made a little joke about the choice of moniker the magnetic miss had opted for when it came to her alias ultimately ‘Ultra Violet’ was simply trying to get a read on her character, and whether or not this particular juicy apple fell all that far from the teenage tree that had thrust her toward her. “Anyway, glad you came out here to see me~” Releasing the hand of the would-be heroine and then turning herself to the side a little way as she slapped her hands down on her hips and took in the scene around her, regardless of whether or not the crack about her prospective protégé’s name had landed the lavender haired lady hummed for a second and offered a word of appreciation for the journey this junior had taken to visit her, being well aware of that it was a bit of a commute from her school to the ‘suburban jungle’ that the purple pro liked to operate in. “Little Miss Binary said you’d been looking for a bit more on the job action~?” Intrigued as well about the reasons that the redhead might be seeking a mentor like her as well, from what she had managed to garner on the ‘circuit’ Miss Murasaki knew that this girl was already something of an ace with her help, and as she question her, the black beauty wondered if she might be able to get an idea of why Yumi was craving what a woman like her could offer…

"Very impressive, a true classic.~" She playfully teased back, smiling warmly. She was sure she'd remembered seeing that kind of landing in some old movie but she couldn't really place what. She was more a fan of anime than western Media afterall and those guys always tended to be on the move. Helped keep the animation impressive. If anyone ever landed dramatically they were straight back into a run or a fight scene half the time in anime. "I might have gone for a bit more of a roll and tumble, I hear that kind of landing is terrible for your knees."
She bowed her head briefly at the introductions to one another, shaking the ebony maiden's hand with a firm grasp and a warm smile. Asta didn't even need to train her to get that one right, her firm grasp coming more from her time at UA than anything else. She tipped her head at the idea of Crimson thunder and shook her head. "Bad idea on two fronts but I appreciate the suggestion." Taking her hand back she hooked her thumbs into the utility belt of her her costume, not wanting to be rude but still needing to demonstrate the flaws in the idea. "For one Thunder already ran a good chunk of Tokyo's crime when I was at UA so associating my name with his would have been a bad move. Pluuuuus..." She briefly tensed her muscles, a fine blue coating of electricity flowing over her from head to toe, even her hair being enveloped, flowing upwards with her ponytail whipping back and forth like a zig zagging electrical bolt. "When I'm in action I tend to be more blue than red.~" She shook her head out as the electricity faded, the ponytail smoothing over as it fell back down and flowed behind her. "Still... nice idea for a first attempt. I know curved lightning isn't all that inspired but..." She cocked her hips to the side, emphasizing her figure a bit. "I think it works just fine.~"
"Glad I could make it. Really it's been kinda hard to find heroes with schedules who match up with mine I've found." She gave a casual shrug, unable to hold that against anyone really. At the end of the day she was busy with Asta and her school work and they were busy... well, saving lives and stopping crimes. She met the eyes of UV again as she mentioned 'miss Binary' chuckling as she realized Kanna had done her a favor selling her to UV. "Kanna huh? Well I guess i'll have to thank her for that sometime..." She took a long breath and straightened up her stance. "So! What will you be needing of me today Ultra violet. I assure you I can keep up with anything you need of me!~" She held herself with some pride as she lifted her chin. She'd been feeling much more confident in herself lately, she just needed to be sure she had the skill to put her money where her mouth was.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Ahahahaha, that’s true, that’s definitely true~” Certainly appreciating both the praise she received and the note of advice as well, though Miss Murasaki might have been angling more for a score out of ten situation the bubbly response she got back was already enough to convince her that Yumi was the sort of girl she could relax around, and her insight also showed she had a good head on her shoulders as well. “Lucky for me my quirk lets my whole body take plenty of pounding, so I’ve probably gotten a bit more reckless than most as a result…?” Nodding for a moment as the part of the pro which was once a personal trainer seemed to chime out in agreement with the scarlet haired student when it came to the strain her landing would have placed on a person, the asian amazon had to admit that she had maybe gotten a bit lazy when it came to planning out her landings from ‘short’ drops like that simply because she knew how well her body could take it, and honestly only seemed to improve with the more pressure she put on it so it was sometimes a bit hard to remember what it was like to be ‘normal’. “Ah, shit… That bastard ruins it for everyone huh~? Hahahaha, this is why we can’t have nice things!” Clicking her tongue as the teen digested and then dissected the suggestion that the sable siren had for her work name, though it had seemed like her idea had seemed a fine one off the cuff, Maya couldn’t help but agree with the sentiment that was shared with her when she thought on the matter more seriously. Which was a shame, it would have been a pretty bitching title. “Oh wow… That’s pretty cool, I’ll admit! My quirk’s good but it doesn’t have much in the way of flash, so gotta confess a little envy on that one?” Next finding herself impressed when the young woman saw fit to give her a little demonstration of the dynamic gift which she had been given, the mocha marvel’s eyes widened as that current flowed between the hands of the would-be heroine, and she readily acknowledged sense of jealousy toward her junior for the simple style her quirk had to it. Lightning always was an awe-inspiring element, after all. “Wow, and here I thought you were aiming to get a taste of my sparkling personality or something?” Smirking and cocking her head when it seemed that Yumi had decided to option her as a teacher simply because of an overlap in schedules, while Miss Murasaki could readily appreciate both the busy schedule of her striking student and the honesty she showed, she grinned as she playfully pointed out she might have been better to tell a white lie or two if she wanted to impress her. “Oooof, you might wanna be careful on that one, if I know Kanna, I bet she’d think of alllllll kinds of wicked ways a girl like you could make it up to her~?” Quickly distracted however when the name of her current prized protégé came up, while she wasn’t quite sure if she caught a sense of innuendo or not in the voice of the vixen she opted to tease the issue a little, and in that show her own degree of intimacy with the green eyed girl in question. They’d bonded a lot in their training after all. “Well, to be honest I like to meet up with the people I’m taking under my wing, see what they’re about? How we click? All that kinda stuff?” The smirk of the ebony empress seeming to ebb for a little bit when the crimson cutie asked about their plans for the day, Maya paused for a second as she thought of the best way to answer the query, and opted to give her the most honest reply she could without spoiling the surprise she had in store too much. “But I find going for coffee a bit boring, and I hear you’re kind of an ace at school, so I reckoned we could put a nice twist on the usual meet and greet format? Make it a bit more exciting, and a great workout for both of us~?” Ultimately the sort of woman who liked to define herself a little differently from her peers and hoping that such a message was getting across both in the way she spoke and acted and the plans she had for the day, even if this was tantamount to a simple interview the teacher wanted it to be one her prospective pupil might never forget, and hopefully would also be a mere stepping stone to future success between them in the time to come…

Yumi tipped her head as the older woman gave the vaguest illusions to her quirk. While it was easy to just give a quick google to find out the idea behind most heroes quirks (Some did try and keep the exact nature of how their quirks worked a secret afterall) She’d sadly not had the chance to this time. UV had contacted her rather out of the blue and on short notice and she hadn’t wanted to be late. The idea of checking her phone also hadn’t really came to her, of only because she’d been on a cramped train most of the journey here and she didn’t trust the other hands on that train not to make a grab for it. She could take anyone who tried to steal from her sure but… going electro on a cramped train? Yeeeeah. Not the best plan. “If you don’t mind me asking Ultra Violet, what is your quirk? I didn’t get a chance to look you up and it’d be great to know what I’m working with should we run into any crime. Not that I hope we do of course.~” She smirked and crossed her arms as she chimed. “A peaceful day is a good day for a hero afterall.~”
While the display of her own quirk had apparently brought out a twinge of envy, Yumi gave a bright little chuckle, not believing that was anything genuine but still worth a giggle all the same. “Oh it’s nothing to be too jealous of honest. Flash or not it’s pretty dangerous if I don’t have my suit-“ She looked down to her hand, idly flexing her fingers in and out, sparks dancing around her fingers as she did so, twisting her wrist to just generally examine the flow going on around her limb. “With my costume it’s a quirk I can refine, control, but without it… well suffice to say if I was your average joe or jane on the street there definitely isn’t much I could do. I owe a lot to the school for the chance to even be a hero. If it wasn’t for the support students work I wouldn’t even be getting the chance to officially debate what my hero name would be.~” She brought it back to the name with a little joke, offering a cheeky wink. “Come on though, curved lightning? Surely I at least get a few points for that.~”
Realizing she might have accidentally offended the woman before her, Yumi raised her arms with a dismissive little shake of them. “O-oh no that’s not what I meant at all. Of course I want to work with you and… well all the heroes for your unique takes on what it means to dish out justice and do the good work, I was just more venting about how hard it’s been to get those opportunities? Honestly even if I had an open schedule I wouldn’t be having that many apprenticeship experiences. I dunno what it is but I havn’t gotten a lot of replies to my requests… eheheh…~” It was a mildly depressing thing to think about, and not a topic she planned on lingering on.
“As far as Kanna goes… I wouldn’t worry. I know a few ways to handle that blonde.~” She stuck out her tongue with a teasing smile, just letting the element of ‘the implication’ do it’s work talking for her on that one. Though honestly, she could do with giving Kanna a visit sometime. The two hadn’t hung out in a while.
With UV revealing her general plans for the start of the day, it took a second for what she was saying to click with Yumi. She smiled as she caught on, nodding firmly and a burst of electricity flowing over her in the exact same instance, the blue electricity covering her from head to toe, cocking her hip while also giving a playful salute to her senior. “Well I’m ready for duty ma’am so whatever you got in mind I’m ready to keep up. Just lead the way and I promise you won’t see me lagging behind!” She had clear confidence in her words, not about to fall on the backfoot today when she was making her first impressions.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Ah, it’s pretty subtle I’ll admit, and given the fact I’m still a rookie on the hero circuit it probably hasn’t had a high level of exposure either~” Nodding as her ward showed a lack of familiarity with her abilities and totally understanding why that was, in all honesty Miss Murasaki was still more used to being a vigilante and therefore trying to keep the nature of her abilities somewhat vague and secretive for her own protection, and as such despite her feats hadn’t flaunted the reason behind them all that much. “The name is ‘Pound for Pound’, and means that physically I’m the same as a normal human, just better built? My muscles and bones are denser, fibres packed more tightly, so I I’m stronger and tougher without being bulky, so it makes me highly mobile? It also helps me heal a bit faster and overall seems to just keep me a notch higher than ‘ordinary’, though like anyone the more I train the stronger I get, which is probably why I’m such a gym rat? I like to worship this temple~” Perhaps going to a bit of an extreme as she gave Yumi a rather long-winded explanation for her abilities and the badass body that she had been given in part because it was a little trickier to show off than simply sprouting lightning from ones fingers, in another sense she was simply proud to show off the fine form that her traits and training had given her, and happily gestured to her well-wrought frame as she did so with a smirk on her face as she enjoyed the attention it would receive. “Ohhhh, so your suit helps with that, huh~? Wow, I’d never have thought of using my costume to give me the edge…?” Intrigued when the young woman seemed to mention the fact that the intriguing outfit she wore was as much responsible for her own abilities as was talent, Maya leaned forwards and gave the outfit and frame of her fellow femme a rather unabashed inspection and lifted her hand to her chin to stroke it as she did so, and felt somewhat like a whole new world of discovery and innovation had been revealed to her as a result. “Heheheeh, well I never said it was a bad name? I like it, but it makes me wonder… Can you really curve your lightning, like the name~?” Chuckling a little when her perky protégé seemed to point out the fact that she had been a little busy weighing up the whys and wherefores offered by alternatives to properly acknowledge the choice she had made for her elegant epithet, the mocha marvel nodded and flashed her a thumbs up in response, and then grinned as she asked if the girl before her could live up to the title she had given herself; hoping she would say yes, and that sooner or later there would be a chance for her to prove it as well. “Oh~? Maybe I’ll have to come to you for a few tips then~?” Not one who wanted to let the energy of their discussion be dulled by the disappointment that was shown when it came to her success thus far, and it certainly seeming to Miss Murasaki that they were both more comfortable joking about the cranky common denominator, she smirked at Yumi as she focused on their connection with the heroic hacktivist, and decided that sooner or later they would definitely be due for a little exchange of anecdotes and advice when it came to the girl as a result. “It’s always funny watching her get all blushy and boisterous when you poke her the right way, huh~?” Licking her lips as she revealed the fact that she enjoyed the grouchy girl with the green gaze on a level which went beyond professionalism, the teacher couldn’t help but brag about how she loved to tease the termagant teen that tied them together, and perhaps offered a little unintended implication as she did so. “Hahahaha, glad to hear it, I used to work as a personal trainer so I tend to push my people pretty hard. No pain, no gain, as they say!” Winking at her ward when next the juicy junior showed a enthusiasm for activity which she had come to expect from all those who had ended up under her wing, the pulse of the purple panther pounded as she found herself almost instinctively building with excitement at the prospect of an exciting workout, and as such she began to stretch out her shoulders and even pulled her feet above her head one at a time in a showy fashion of flexibility to loosen herself up before they begun, and then looked toward the woman as she made sure she was happy with the lesson plan she had come up with. “So let’s get a little sightseeing done whilst we chat, eh? You’re OK with parkour, right~?” Breaking into a reasonably brisk jog as she dashed through the crowds and then looked for a nice and easy option to achieve some elevation with the young woman next to her, after a moment the ebony enchantress was vaulting up and off a lamp post before snatching the edge of a rooftop with one hand to show off just how good she could jump, and then pulled herself upward effortlessly as she waited to see how her jubilant junior would manage to join her…

Hearing the older woman describe her quirk Yumi listened intently. In her hopes of being a teacher she was looking to become a teacher specifically focusing on how to bring out the most of students quirks. It was something she'd needed a lot of help with herself and even Tetsuko had once praised her in bringing the absolute most out of her quirk, so she wanted to help others do that. Maya was right in her quirk being subtle and a little simple at the end of the day, but having the ability to keep training and retain a slender, tight figure and a light weight? That'd do a lot for someone in the field of her work. The ability to slam all the might of Redhorn and in a tight form that can still slip into the narrow spaces of say, an open window or just dive through gunfire? It had it's advantages that much was for sure. "Well subtle or not its still a great quirk if I might say so. Honestly I'd been expecting something different in a weird way? But it definitely suits you! All that power with no obvious tells of having a quirk? Well, beyond the purple hair... it's bound to have it's advantages ya know.~"
At the comments of her own costume she gave a proud nod and gestured over her costume. It had had some adjustments over the years, she even had multiple versions depending on the weather, but she was certainly proud of how it helped her. Even if she wasn't the one who personally designed it, such an integral part of using her quirk was as much of her personality as... well her actual personality. "I dunno how much your quirk could be helped by support gear but it's always something to consider I find? I mean I didn't even just stop at my costume so..." She looked over her utility belt, and with Maya's next question it actually gave her the chance to display. "Oh, well, kind of! My electricity is more some sort of bio-energy equivalent? It dosn't work exactly the same. It can move a little slower but it still shifts to conductive surfaces and the like? So if i fire a bolt it can 'curve' closer to someone or-" She took the two metal rods hanging off her utility belt, tossing them up, a quick spin before landing back in her hands, the metal rods seeming rather innocuous beyond thin lines implying they must open up in some way. "I can control these with my electricity, plant them around a battle field. They help direct my lightning sometimes. Help it curve. End of the day maybe I can't curve it all the time but... that's part of the point of the name I find? The fact it sounds like something impossible. Whether you focus on my curves or the chance my lightning curves it just feels... poignant.~"
She twirled the rods in each hand, slipping them back into her belt, the reds resting against her hips.
Her brow did raise a bit in surprise when Maya mentioned Kanna getting all blushy, scoffing in disbeleiief. "Blushy huh? Well you must know how to push her buttons better than me. I don't think I've ever managed to get her all flustered.~" She wasn't even bothered by the fact, but it was definitely true. Kanna always seemed to come off strong and with a 'don't give a fuck' attitude about how she went through her life. Thinking about her being... blushy and flustered? Jesus that was a hilarious thought just from how out of place it seemed to her at that moment.
With the two of them starting to get on the move, Yumi's charge remained constant across her body, reaching to the goggles of her costume around her neck and hoisting them up around her head and onto her eyes, the orange shade lens helping her keep her vision clear even with the glow of her own quirk over her skin. Maya seemed to be looking to show off a little with how they vaulted up to the rooftops in two moves... well... ah she couldn't resist.~ Kicking off the ground soon after herself, tendrels of electricity flowed from her to the nearby surfaces, seeming to latch around the lampost itself as Yumi warped around it, flying around it like a drill before doing a few loop-de-loops around the extended light fixture that hung over the street itself, and finally soaring up into the air beside the rooftop, casually crossing her arms as she lingered in the air beside Maya, sparks coming from her body and harmlessly striking the edge of the building to keep her elevated.
"I kinda skipped parkour and went straight to flight school I'm afraid...~"

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Heeheeheehee, it can be handy, especially when you like to keep a low profile so to speak~” Winking as her student seemed to cleverly sense that the subtlety of Maya’s quirk meant that what she lacked in outright flash she more than made up for in subterfuge and stealth when she needed it, she had taken advantage of that fact so many times in the past she had lost count, and loved to exploit the fact that a great many arrogant adversaries would severely underestimate a slim and shapely woman in a fight. It was a nice weapon all its own, the ability to take people by surprise, even when they knew they were fighting you. “Until I lift a car above my head or something, of course~” Of course the mind boggling abilities she was given only too obvious when she used them in an overt sense, though there were certainly many abilities in the world that had plenty of scope and variation in use, the simple ability to summon incredible degrees of brunt or shrug off getting hit by a rhino were always useful no matter the circumstance, and that was something that helped her to happily joke with her junior as a result. “The old utility belt huh~? Can’t wait to see your gadgets~” Intrigued however when the ravishing redhead showed off her own arsenal of technological treats, Miss Murasaki leaned forward again to admire the items she had wrapped around her shapely hips, and for a moment wondered if she too should increase her arsenal a little just to give her more options. Her katana was good, but it had felt lately like she could have used a bit more range in her offence, both literally and figuratively. “Fight smart huh? I like it! Though I can be a bruiser, it’s how I try to fight too?” Still impressed by both the simple ingenuity in the aids that Yumi had and the way she used them, the sable siren could see that the girl had taken a lot of time to think about how to get the most out of her ability and she liked that; like any sportswoman turned soldier she knew that preparation was the key to any battle. Work hard off the pitch and win easy on it was something of a motto for her, and it still seemed to ring true even now. “Oh really~? That’s weird, I must have a special effect on her or something, huh~?” The brows of the bronzed beauty lifting up when it seemed that the lightning lass hadn’t noticed having the same sort of effect that she herself had on their blonde buddy, while Maya was still somewhat curious as to the exact nature of the relationship between the two girls at the very least she was happy to hear that her own effect on the crabby Miss Kusanagi was unique to her. It made her feel special. “Well, suppose that tip thing could go both ways huh~?” Smirking as she seemed to turn the issue on its head now and suddenly feel like the one who could offer the insight here, the ebony enchantress couldn’t help but offer her expertise in turn to her perky pupil now that it seemed she was the one with the ‘goods’ so to speak, even if she was largely joking though. She felt a bit like she should be keeping her tricks to herself when it came to their termagant teammate. “Whoa! That’s amazing~! Are you hovering there…?” This scarlet star certainly doing plenty to earn the respect of the raven as she had gone along thus far but no act earning the awe of the Asian amazon more than when she found her fellow femme hovering in the air next to her, even though Miss Murasaki was keen to get their airborne adventure underway she couldn’t help but pause in place as she saw that oh so typical superhero skill, and quickly the look in her eye only grew with excitement as she did. “How are you doing that? Your fancy suit~? That thing’s handier than a swiss knife huh~?” Quickly seeming to guess that the racy little number that the redhead sported was in the large part responsible for the absolute rejection of gravity that her new girl showed her but unable to figure out the science behind electricity based flight off the top of her head, though some might have considered the ability to fly through the air a bit of a ‘cheat’ but if anything the teacher feeling like the teen was only raising the excitement in their ‘game’ that bit higher with what she was doing, that spirit of competition within the black beauty lifted its head again and she could hardly contain her excitement at having the chance to try and outdo what she saw with her own skills…

Yumi smiled warmly as she hit one of the benefits of the older woman’s quirk on the nose it seemed. She was curious to ask if her muscles were overly efficient or if they were just packed in more densely, buuuut given that would effectively be asking ‘do you weigh more than you should’ she thought best of it, straightening up her back as she somewhat ‘shuddered’ the thought of asking such a question out of herself and held a warmer smile still. “Well it’s certainly impressive in it’s own right, I know I probably couldn’t be stealthy even if I tried. I can do some light sparks, maybe cause some electronics to malfunction without going all glowy but, anything that requires my full power, I need to go ‘full cowl’ so to speak.~” She gave idle ‘jazz hands’ to either side as if to just sort of present the situation to her mentor for the day. Not that she minded being flashy, just, for as many benefits as such a powerful quirk gave, it could lock off her options a lot, both in being a stealth hero and of course her experience struggling to be a rescue hero.
“My records 5 cars by the way.~” She cheered herself up though with an idle brag about her own record in lifting cars with her quirk.
As far as her gadgets went- “Oh there isn’t much more than these I’m afraid. The only other things I have are the makings of a first aid kit, an electro proof phone and a special bio-electrical er… feeder? That’s what I call it at least I think it has a more technical name.” She pulled open the pouch containing it at the back of her hip, none of the pouches all that big so as not to mess with her mobility or the flow of her electricity. She tugged out what looked like a cuff device of some sort with a technological pad upon it. “I er… well luckily I havn’t had to use this on the field but it basically feeds on excess electrical energy in someone’s system? Like you know how your muscles can twitch for a while after an electrical shock? This tries to drain that excess impulse out of your system. Its erm… basically for if I ever accidentally catch a civilian in the line of fire…” She rubbed at the back of her neck as she stowed it away with the other hand. It wasn’t something she ever wanted to happen but… well, could never be too careful right?
Yumi chuckled a little and shook her head as talking about Kanna easily seemed to lighten the mood that much was for sure. She wasn’t sure what version of Kanna UV was dealing with but… blushy? Yeah, definitely didn’t sound like the version she knew. “I dunnoooo… I mean maybe it is something about you she finds intimidating or something? Personally I like the badass blonde I’m used to so I think I’ll do without the tips.” She flashed a warm smile, not meaning to be rude in her refusal, but she wanted to get to know UV more personally before she started gossiping about Kanna too much.
Back up in the air ready to get moving, Yumi folded her arms proudly and lifted her chin at the display of her quirk. “Well the suit helps me manage my output but technically this is all me beyond that. I can’t… fully explain it, it’s like learning to walk. You don’t know the science behind it, the shift of your center of gravity and all that, but it comes naturally after a time. Effectively though I sorta… repel myself off surfaces. I can’t fly forever or anything, I think my limits about… 10 stories? If I don’t have a surface at least 10 stories below me I can’t fly any higher, and even then, that high? It gets super unstable. So, don’t worry about me flying off, I still have to stick close to the rooftops to work at my best.~” She smirked proudly, liking the reaction to her ability to achieve flight. “Besides, I just get to think of it as motivation to keep my eyes closer to the streets while on patrol.~”

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Full cowl~? Is that all out~?” Unfamiliar exactly of what Yumi meant with her rather unusual vernacular but ultimately able to guess it from the implication of what it could do, Miss Murasaki was happy to hear that her own more subtle powers were comparatively more useful for use within the middle ground without drawing too much attention, but at the same time wondered if her scarlet haired student had taken the time to learn that variation of control that she had as well. Sounded like she was either all go or no go, from the sound of things. “Hahahah, five, at once~?” For the time being however happy to marvel at the boasting of the young beauty, when the incredible number of lifting five cars was floated into the conversation the sable siren had to raise a little scepticism at the idea along with her brow, and asked to confirm the notion that this perky pupil raised to her. “Ahhh, I see, I see…” Perhaps a mite disappointed when it was revealed that the belt of carmine cutie was not quite so well-endowed as she might have otherwise guessed, all the same the few items that the red haired rookie seemed to carry seemed to be rather well thought out, and especially so was the tool that seemed to ‘unelectrify’ targets. “Suppose I can do some brute force damage, but electricity on the wrong person can trigger heart problems and that stuff, like a reverse-pacemaker?” Certainly finding some approval when it seemed that the auburn ace had taken care to develop something which might have helped if she had a misfire with her quirk, it was a consideration which she noted few others even in the ranks of pro hero seemed to share, and made the mulberry haired marvel feel an ounce more respect for the girl. Sure she was a rowdy sort, but she liked those who thought about all aspects of their abilities, especially those that some might wish they could ignore. “Hahahah, I don’t know about that…” Shaking her head when it seemed that Yumi had pointed out why there was a difference between them when it came to the response which Kanna offered them, though there might have been plenty of people who felt a sense of intimidation toward a woman as strong and stunning as she was, it honestly didn’t seem like that would be the case with the brassy blonde she tutored. “I’ve seen her stare down guys the size of garbage trucks even when she’s been on her last legs, so I doubt a pretty little thing like me intimidates her in that sense~?” All too keenly recalling how she had seen that green eyed girl staring down an enemy that even Miss Murasaki herself had struggled with during that incident at the tower, the heroic hacker certainly had plenty of cajones in the experience of the ebony empress, and as such she had to assume there was something more at play than a simple fear factor. Though honestly, deep in her heart she could probably guess what that was. “Oh, ten stories huh? Nice to know how high you can do before I can make ya really put the work in~” Giving the girl next to her a wicked grin when the young woman seemed to eagerly offer up the limits on her abilities and as such the level at which her tutor had to climb in order to challenge her rather obvious, though she was largely teasing the teen the teacher still felt amused by seeing what the young woman would do if she needed to come out of her comfort zone, and felt an awful temptation to nudge her past it as they worked together today in order to satisfy her curiosity. “But for now, let’s focus on keeping a good pace up, follow me!” That an issue for later on however and for the time being Maya happy to simply get their bodies and quirks warmed up and ready for something a little more challenging as they chatted together, after bouncing up and down a couple of times as her excitement got the better of her, the purple pro shot off like a rocket toward the next roof, and then the next one after that; rushing forward at a sprint and flinging herself through the air as she used the escalating levels on which they could stand to gradually increase their height, little by little…

"Something like that. Seems like a playful name for when my electricity goes all over my body.~ Think I read the term in a manga once for when this super strength kid stretched his power over every limb. It was pretty badass.~" As the woman even seemed to comment on her sly slip about the cars, Yumi grinned wider still. She wasn't typically all that competitive but it was fun being able to brag at least a little, giving a firm nod as she lifted her chin a little higher in the process, feeling that smug sense of pride flow through her. "5 at once! My arms were killing me afterwards from all the electricity flowing through them. It was er... a bit of a dire situation to push myself like that, but a record is a record at the end of the day ya know?~" She stuck out her tongue, letting her pride flow into a bit more of a playful mood before it became uncomfortable for either of them.
With the talk more about the gadget she'd displayed Yumi could see there was a bit of dissapointment that the only gear she seemed to have was her rods... maybe later she could really show her the multiple uses those things had but for now she didn't want to get too bogged down in their details. She was ready to see some action. At the mention of a pacemaker she did flinch, if only because she thought more about her quirk could affect someone with a pacemaker if they were hit accidentally, but she steeled her nerves and remained strong, pushing past the idea. "Yeah I mean, a general first aid kit and some paramedics can help anyone who say, felt the shockwave of RedHorn's punches or the sting of Yellow Jackets... stinger, but no one really carries something like this so... I need to make sure I always have control over that possibility. That if I can accidentally harm a civilian, I have what's needed to make sure they pull through. As weird a way as it is to say it... it's only fair, right? To provide that safety measure to the civilians who put their lives in my hands. They have faith in me... I need to be ready to save them, even from my own mistakes..."
She shook herself out, it was a downer topic but... it was a personal one. "S-sorry. Didn't mean to bring us down with that...~"
She'd give a casual shrug as the older woman said she couldn't intimidate Kanna. "I dunnooooo... there's a lot of ways to intimidate someone isn't there? I mean, I'm not that intimidated by my teachers anymore, but a villain on the top ten list? That's where I have to steel my nerves. Vice versa I think I've seen some of the other students do the opposite. Our teachers scare the life out of them but they could stare down Thunder or Ishtar without even flinching, eheheh...~"
Back in the action-
"You can jump ten stories?" She placed her hands on her hips even as she hovered in the air. She felt the other woman hadn't really figured out what she meant by how her quirk worked. So long as she had a nearby surface to hover off of she could go ten stories above THAT, so climbing ten stories wasn't at all difficult to her, afterall she'd just have to stick close to the side of the building to fly up alongside it, a wide grin on her features as she reminded herself that she could zip up the taller apartment buildings in the city like it wasn't even a challenge.
She gave a sharp nod at the challenge to keep up. She didn't want to out pace the older woman and she wasn't so experienced in the field so there wasn't too much room to show off without potentially making a mistake anyway. Shooting off a spark of electricity ahead of her beside Maya as she burst ahead, Yumi zipped along her own trail like a charge down a wire, constantly firing off ahead of herself in short bursts to keep herself moving at an intense speed, sometimes zig-zagging between rooftop attatchements, like vents or rooftop doors and such to keep things interesting. Yumi tried to keep low to the rooftops whenever she could for stability, but she had no qualms leaping up to the next building in height or the one after that.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ A manga~? Wow, she’s nerdier than she seems in those pics, huh~? The brows of the bronzed beauty lifting as Yumi mentioned her piece of tasty terminology had come from a comic book of all places, though Miss Murasaki didn’t know the series she mentioned that well she smirked at what the knowledge revealed about her student, and how it seemed to defy the image she had of her up to this point. She was more than a pretty face, wasn’t she? “Holy hell girlfriend, that’s more than even I’ve managed at once!” That never clearer than when the young woman admitted that she had through some straining effort managed to lift a quintet of automobiles, the dark dish couldn’t help but gape at the record of the redhead, and quietly wondered if she could match it with her own brute force. Maybe, if they were stacked on top of each other or something? “Probably useful against that Thunder-Cock as well huh?” It seeming though that despite her achievements this young ace was perhaps not quite so assured as she should have been when she seemed to turn to melancholy at her consideration of the ill effects of her quirk, though it was commendable of the girl to be so considerate of others Maya eagerly set about distracting her from such woes when given the chance, and knew that a little off colour humour might just pluck her mind from that pit a little bit better as she admonished the moniker of the electrical menace to the town of Tokyo. “Suppose the benefit of having him be your knock off is you know how to deal with his shit?” Grinning as she further pointed out the fact that in her opinion all that sparky sparky boom doom was doing was ripping off her student and that his efforts would be rather more futile when compared to someone who used the same power more thoughtfully, the purple pro winked at her pupil and hoped that her words offered a little reassurance, even if they were largely rooted in humour. “Hahahaha, Thunder’s one thing, but Ishtar doesn’t seem that scary to me?” Certainly appreciating the fact that there were different kinds of intimidation in the world and guessing what sort of issue it was when it came to Kanna, instead of tip her hand in that kind of understanding Miss Murasaki opted to instead show a bit of fearless spirit, and demonstrated the fact that she wasn’t all that daunted by the name who had recently dominated the headlines for all the wrong reasons. “I mean sure she seems to working a lot of shit from the shadows, but from what I’ve seen she doesn’t have the balls to fight someone who might actually stand up to her?” In a way having a measure more respect for the thunderous marauder than the apparent puppet master who had seemed to usurp him as the nation’s greatest threat, perhaps had the blanched bitch accumulated at least a few decent scalps in her ascension to the top then she might have considered her more of a worthy opponent, but she hadn’t. It was all back room deals and turned tails at the sign of anything that might threaten her; the actions of a bully and a coward. “Hehehehe, can’t say I measure myself that much, and I tend to focus more on precision that pure power but…” For the time being however far more interested in getting a chance to show off than sully the not-so-good name of people who would likely be her enemies one day, as the magenta minx seemed to question just how high a rise she could get with that athletic bod, Miss Murasaki was more than happy to give a live demonstration to see if she could set some new kind of record. “Let’s see how high I can go, huh~?” Pushing herself down for a moment and really squeezing those thighs together in a way which seemed to make even the compacted musculature in her lower limbs bulge, in a second the feisty femme made herself like a flea as she sent herself shooting into the air like a spring, aiming for a rooftop that was two or maybe three times higher than the one she currently rushed along and grinning at the golden eyed girl with her as she did so…

"Hm? My quirk or the device? Cause if you mean the device that probably wouldn't be useful against him. Reports say he works my draining electricity out of his environment so I don't think it'd be any use if i slapped this on him, and besides it's not designed to like, absorb a full output. Just help someone level out... as far as my QUIRK... again I'd probably kinda suck against him. I dunno if he'd be able to absorb my bio electricity specifically but I bet he'd be pretty used to the sensation of electricity running through his veins.~" She kept a chipper tone despite the fact she was dismissing Maya's idea like that but if only because she doubted she'd ever have a personal interaction with Thunder, she bet he'd be taken to prison before she went through her sidekick year and was a full blown hero. There were already great heroes out there like RedHorn who'd take criminals like that down. When she commented on it more being useful to perhaps deal with the shit Thunder could dish out, she thought for a moment and nodded. "Thats pretty fair. Actually he's a weird part of why I wanted to be a teacher when I graduate. I think it'd be great to be able to teach people to learn from their allies. I mean Red Horn can give people great insight in how to face super strong villains and I can help people learn how to face Thunder right? I just... think stuff like that would be great to pass on to the generations that come after me.~"
When the woman said Ishtar dosn't seem that scary, Yumi's featured tightened a bit and, while not meaning to kill the mood-... "She... killed a hero infront of me. We weren't able to get him to the paramedics and... her quirk..." She shook her head. "I don't know exactly how it works but it kills off cells instantly. It basically stops someone from naturally healing so it... yeah. That lifting 5 cars thing? That was against her trying to make sure my classmates got away safely... she knows how to fight so, if you go up against her. Be careful" She let out a soft sigh through her nose. "Sorry just... I wanna make sure you take her seriously if you face her. She's smart to stick to the shadows... but that dosn't mean she isn't deadly herself." She gave a light nod and rubbed at the back of her neck, not wanting to have bummed her out but... Ishtar was definitely a serious threat, and she wouldn't want Maya suffering because she wasn't expecting that.
Back to the action-
Yumi flipped into a sudden halt as the woman with her tried to show off with a direct leap up into the air, smiling warmly as she looked up towards the purple haired heroine, crossing her arms as she hovered and waiting for her to land, just hovering in place and waiting for her to drop. "Impressive... for someone who can't fly.~"

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Hahahaha, I actually meant your head, or your mind I suppose~” The joke about the dominance of her student when it came to the Yakuza dumbo seeming to provoke a bit more serious consideration from Yumi, Miss Murasaki chuckled and shook her head when the volted vixen asked for clarification about it, and offered a bit more of the insight she had in the clash as a result. “Electric is electric, whether you call it lightning or not, so you’d know just how to shut him down, right? You know exactly what would be a pain for you, so it tracks that it would be a bitch for him to fight as well~?” Reasoning that in the same way a super powered or super toughened enemy would be able to figure her out that the lightning lass would be able to do the same with the bachi-bachi blight on Kabukicho, while there were sematic differences between their powers and the reports didn’t seem to imply that the shocker needed some sort of equipment to control his powers properly, ultimately they were cut from a similar cloth as far as quirks went and that could be a weapon that the young wonder could use if she ever found herself in trouble. And from the sounds of things, that wasn’t beyond the realm of possibility. “Heheheheh, ah no, sorry, I probably shouldn’t have been so flippant about it~” A sour note striking out from the centre of the sassy shinobi as her student seemed to tense up because of how she had been bashing the insidious Ishtar, the golden gaze of the girl tightened as she heard about the awful experience that the young woman had with that ivory idiot, and Maya offered an apology for glib behaviour. “Sorry, that sounds like it was awful, don’t get me wrong, I just… I can’t respect a woman like that…?” Never trying to belittle the work of the young woman or the poor soul who had lost their life either, the attitude of the amazon was ultimately more down to clash of ideals and integrity; she was direct and honourable, and it seemed that this white witch was anything but. “Hunting kids, she’s only pissing me off more, just wait til I get a chance to tangle with her…” The story that was given to her also not doing much to change Miss Murasaki’s opinion either, if anything it gave the mocha marvel yet another bone to pick and punish from her ivory indolence, and offered only more determination for her as well. “And I appreciate the warning, but don’t worry too much about her quirk; my build is reinforced to the cellular level. It’s what makes me so tough~” Nodding at Yumi and at the very least valuing the words of caution she had been given as well, while the idea of someone being able to kill off the very building blocks a body was made of the bronzed beauty felt assured that the particulars of her own quirk would allow her to withstand such effects rather a lot better than average anatomy, since her own boons seemed to extend right down to the microscopic level. “Hahahaha, oh yeah, big words Little Miss Aerial Ace~” Glad however when the two of them had the chance to move on from more malign and melancholy discussion instead dipped their toes into the pool of banter instead, the natural inclination that Maya had toward sports meant that she was more than used to trading playful barbs than most people, and as such felt a sense of excitement and camaraderie as she began to clash her wit with this young wonder. “At least I can still jump higher when I get above ten stories~ Sounds more like you’re rocking a pair of electro stilts, if you ask me!” Grinning as she pushed her legs down and took a deep breath in before holding her powerful prowess there for a second, the saucy siren made sure to shoot a jocular jab at her junior before she sent herself shooting into the air again to seek yet a new level to stand upon, and would continue to do so until she had wiped out a little of the smugness her soaring scarlet student seemed to shine with…
