sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
In the guts of Kabukicho, a certain bar was hosting a certain event. This certain place certainly had higher traffic than average, swathes of people eagerly strutting down the street in groups, into one of the areas heartiest and most popular establishments. Past posters outside the lot, that advertised the very event they were attending. In letters big and bold, it announced the evening’s most delightful occasion: The Fourth Corner 1st Annual Music Night!!! Within that bar, past the door beneath its logo and sign, was a lively scene to behold. The Fourth Corner and its hardworking employees had spared no expense in preparing the bar for the evening, the entire place arranged for focus on the acts that would be performing. All the tables were oriented such that people were directed right towards the action, upon an impressively large blackboard by the bar was a list of the performances and their times. Quite the selection was set to appear. All the tables themselves were adorned, every possible inch of the bar cleaned to perfection, new decorations added here and there. All to create this air of class to the establishment, well maintaining its warm and homely feel. Of course, of all the bar’s areas, the stage was the most overhauled. Expensive speakers had been set up for the night, strategically placed to allow the musicians to reach the whole bar, and a projector had been set up to lay images across the back wall of the stage. All to provide simple enhancements as to the performances, without taking any attention away. At present, no instruments were yet set up - they’d be moved on and off with each band’s needs - only a microphone remained present. The stage itself could be accessed either from the floor via a few steps, or a large backdoor that led to a repurposed room that would give the performers somewhere to keep their instruments until they performed. It was, obviously, not just the bar’s equipment that was cause for mention, as the establishments clientele were all equally marvellous on this night! People from many different walks had come to the bar that night, a bustle throughout the place as people laughed and chatted and drank as they awaited the beginning of the main attractions. Whether they were there for the cheaper drinks, the performances, or to strut their own stuff, it mattered not, the Fourth Corner was welcoming all warmly, and there were few without a smile on their face already. Of course, right behind the bar itself, serving all these people, doing her usual jobs, was… Not Delta… Her other employees were still handling all their regular work amongst the rush of bargoers, though those that were also performing were given the option to focus on their music that night. However, their esteemed boss wasn’t among the usual bar staff right now… No, on this night, Delta Ivey had a much more important role to fulfill. She was to be the night’s lovely main host. The side door to the stage opened, and as soon as she stepped out onto the stage, the whistles could be heard. Her light ginger hair was immaculately groomed, flowing free and beautiful as it framed a widely smiling visage. A striking amber eye glanced over the crowds, discerning and keen. Her other eye, burned away and scarred, was now concealed this night. Normally she’d let the burn scar remain visible, but for tonight she wanted to go all out. Instead, it was covered by a rather interesting eyepatch, a rose over the missing eye that made for quite the interesting accessory. Of course, it wasn’t just a pretty face that was now turning heads in the bar, Delta had the attire to match. Courtesy of a certain underground market connection, Delta had gotten her hands on a personally-tailored outfit that suited her mutation. A beautiful and sensual red shoulderless dress with dark accents, that parted around her lower right thigh and frilled out towards the bottom. It complemented her rosy eye quite well. Long, dark gloves were worn over each of her four hands, and a pair of dark dress boots for her only 2 feet. Delta was dressed to impress, to say the very least. Quite the show already as the lovely bartender walked across the stage, but this was just the introduction, the first showing of their wonderful host! Gracefully, Delta waltzed across the stage, grabbing the microphone with one of her hands and addressing the bar with a strong voice. ”Hello, everyone! And welcome to the Fourth Corner!” Cheers already resounded, glasses raised as people understood the night was finally getting properly underway. ”It’s lovely to see you all here~ At the Fourth Corner First Annual Music Night!” Delta presented her arms outward for effect, before continuing on. ”As you all know, I’m Delta Ivey, the owner of the Fourth Corner and your lovely host for tonight~ I hope you’re enjoying the pre-show drinks - well, not too much, of course~ Nonetheless, our first group of performances will be beginning shortly. I’m trusting you all to give them a wonderful crowd~” Of course, Delta had faith this would be the case. She had faith in the people who made the Fourth Corner what it was. ”We have a lot of different people here tonight, all putting themselves up here for your very entertainment, so make them feel welcome, my dears~ In the meantime, our bar and kitchen are still open, to keep your energy up for this lovely evening. Plus, as a reminder, a portion of all funds from tonight will go towards charities chosen by our lovely performers, not that you’ll need a reason to try our lovely array of drinks! A pause for hearty chuckle from the crowd, before Delta took control once again. ”Now, you’ll see me up here throughout the night, to introduce our acts, but first, I want to introduce you to a certain someone…” Delta grinned slyly, as she gestured outwards back towards the side entrance of the stage. ”My dear friend and co-host for the night, Asmodeus!”As the aforementioned co-host entered the stage, Delta would hand over the microphone, waiting beside the other woman as the night’s introduction concluded. It was only just starting, and yet, Delta could feel this great sense of weight, like an oncoming train, as her heart pounded and the long-awaited night approached. It was already clear to her, what this night would be. 1083 WORDS |

| Sometimes Paradise is just a bar away~ | | A few hours before the eventful night would begin...
Within the grandiose-looking establishment of the Elysium Garden life was still going on as actively and excitedly as possible, but one could easily say a different type of atmosphere was going on within the office of the owner of the garden. An elderly woman was seated on the couch, busily enjoying some sort of scented smoke pipe while she huffed lightly in disapproval. "So you're really going through with this?"
The old woman inquired to her companion, the tall and slender build lady who was currently in the middle of finishing up the arrangement of a few documents on her desk. Her eyes turned their gaze toward her grandmother, lips curved up into a smile. "Why wouldn't I? It sounds like an entertaining request from a friend~ Besides we'll have a mutually beneficial gain out of making it a successful night anyway."
Slowly she rose out of her seat, a graceful sweep of her hand ensuring there were no potential flaws in her stylish white dress, just like the rest of her body. In the end, as someone who often was jokingly rumored to be a succubus, Rebecca did take pride in having a 'perfect' appearance. "Bah! Mutual beneficial gain she says, I'd say you like that little minx too much for your own good"
The elderly woman's statement caused Rebecca to giggle mischievously, answering with a quip of her own. "Nonsense~ I just got a good nose for business~ Although... I do believe this event will help us in the long run also, especially with 'that'."
Indeed, considering the colorful entourage Delta had gathered for this night, Rebecca truly believed this event would be an important factor for something special in the future. A knock on the door led to both females to raise their gaze toward the entrance of the room when a masculine voice came from behind it. "Lady Asmodeus? Your ride to the Fourth Corner is here."
Perfect, then it was time to get this show ready! With the young woman approaching the door her grandmother couldn't help but sigh in amusement. "Have fun, if something happens let us know."
And so came the moment everyone had been waiting for, the start of the first music night at the Fourth Corner! When Delta called her onto the stage, Rebecca made her entrance, a brief smile gracing her lips as she accepted the microphone and turned toward the audience.
"Welcome to the Fourth Corner's first music night everyone~ As the ever so charming Delta-chan said just now: My name is Asmodeus, owner of the Elysian Garden and co-host of this wonderful event. What she had yet to announce is that we have quite an interesting additional surprise in store for both our performers and yourselves~"
With a cheerful and energetic tone the woman took a step forwards as she continued. "As most of you already are aware of, we got quite a entourage of fascinating performers lined up for you tonight, and it would do little good to let such an interesting show go on without a bit of excitement added into the mix, so how about a little contest with yours truly, the audience as the jury?"
She could easily sense the anticipation in the crowd as she continued.
"Later this year a grand event will take place, consider it a festival of sorts where some of the most influential and famous individuals of various industries will be gathering~ A chance to shine and gain worldwide renown for your talents? I'd say that is plenty of reason to put on your best act! But I won't keep you waiting much longer, especially with such a euphonious pleasing night awaiting us, so Delta-chan?"
And with a smile she turned toward Delta, handing her back the microphone.

sometimes you want to go WHERE EVERYBODY KNOWS YOUR NAME
As Asmodeus handled her end of things, Delta’s keen amber eye scanned over the crowd, picking up a few familiar faces her and there. Her heart continued to pound, her mind continued to race, and she grew evermore excited with the knowledge that so many of her closest acquaintances would be here to witness the event initially conceived by the late former owner. When the microphone was handed back to her, Delta would give another winning smile to the crowd, addressing them once again. ”Ara ara, no need to leave the people in such suspense, Asmodeus-chan~” Delta hummed in faux exasperation. ”As my cohost says, there will be a competitive element to tonight’s events! At the conclusion, we’ll have you all vote for the People’s Choice winner of the night, who - in addition to involvement in my cohost’s plans - will get to choose to which good cause a large portion of the night’s earnings go! So be sure to stand out and shine, my dears!” With that out of the way, there was little more for Delta to handle. ”All that said, the evening has already begun proper, with our first performance coming soon, but to let me leave this introduction on a request to you all, and an important note for the proceedings…” Delta raised a hand towards the crowd, ushering them emphatically. ”Let’s make the Fourth Corner First Annual Music night a night to remember!” You heard the woman! This intro thread is open and has no posting order, aside from a recommendation not post more than once every 24 hours, so go nuts! First lot of performances proper will start in about a week, so if you're in Group 1: - Smooth Tokyo - James Walker - Tetsu no Shugotenshi - DJ Triple S - Bassamurai - Ashton Company Quartet Get ready!0000 WORDS |

The joint was pretty excited for the night at the Fourth Corner, and Chiyuri was right in the midst of it. The two ladies who introduced it seemed pretty chill, putting on some kind of showgirl vibe like you'd see in Vegas or some club in Soho, which was fitting enough for a music night. She'd dumped her equipment behind the stage area a couple of minutes ago for safe keeping, so she could hang out at the bar itself before the festivities began. With a highball glass filled with vanilla vodka and Meadow Dew, and a nice lime mixed in, Chiyuri was ready for the night. She was within the first batch of performers, she had the set ready to go, so it might be worth checking out some of her 'competition', even though it was a friendly night to celebrate music. Although, a cash prize up for grabs meant it would be worthwhile to put more effort in to win. Being strapped for cash wasn't super good when it came to vigilantism, and the off-job Chiyuri had wasn't super worthwhile, she only made minimum wage and that mostly went towards her real job.
However, now wasn't the time to dwell on funds, it was a time to celebrate! The air in the room was positive beyond all belief, and the host was greatly appreciative of that, at least Chiyuri hoped. Four arms... makes sense why she'd work in a bar, you could serve a load of drinks with that kind of advantage. Walking around the room, Chiyuri looked at some of the people in their fine clothes and well-prepped state, then looking back down at her own short-cut jeans and worn tuxedo t-shirt. It was a little out of place, but then again standing out was important for an event like this. She wandered around a little, giving warm, playful looks to people who seemed pretty cool.

There was no way in hell Kenshin would not be feeling pretty excited on a promising night like this. Having arrived at the Fourth Corner in his usual everyday clothes and with bass guitar in its case strapped on the boy's back, the boy could not wait for the show to get started. His parents and younger brother would be watching, as would several of his friends, and the followers of his uTube channel as well. All of them would cheer the boy on and wish him the best of luck. Kenshin promised them all that he would not let them down and that he would do his best on stage. With all of the bass practice he had done recently, Kenshin was confident enough in his skills to be sure that he would put on quite the show. The boy listened as the two female hosts said their piece (while curiously wondering what it would be like to have four arms just like that Delta lady). While the thought of being recognized for his talents was nice to think about, that was not why Kenshin showed up here. All he was interested in was jamming on his bass, helping to make sure everyone had a good time, and of course, to donate to a worthy cause. Anything else was just extra. Kenshin looked around. So many people dressed in formal clothing, all while he just stuck to his usual red jacket, black shirt, green camo pants, and black shoes. He did spot one person who was also dressed casually. Honestly though, Kenshin did not care how he looked. What mattered was what he did, not how he looked like while doing it. It was just like being a vigilante. Sure the fame of being a hero could be nice, but that was nowhere near as important as actually saving lives, stopping criminals, and just doing the right thing. But enough of that! Kenshin was here to have some fun, not to stop any crimes. Though in the unlikely event that someone tried anything here, he would not mind stepping in to kick their ass. Hopefully, Kenshin would only have to be here as Bassamurai and not Red Edge. @tagged | Word count: 369

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Her mind had been everywhere lately, or more like everywhere in the past and in the present trying to make a decision, a decision that was not only hears to make but apparently it came to that. She did not feel well, the last few days she barely eaten and drank and slept and she looked simply tired, but nothing make-up could not fix. The writer had made sure of that, she would rather stay home had Delta not texted that it was tonight and that a change of scenery and just some distractions could be great. She would rather talk to the bar owner than sit at the bar, near the bartenders and the other staff members that Delta had to look at the stage. The only reason why Delta convinced her was that she hoped in the back of her mind to see Miku. Maybe Haruuhi would be here too? She remembered Miku inviting her and she had said she would come but that was before her life changed for the worst. At first her eyes wandered to find the blonde in the crowd but if she was playing tonight, she was probably backstage or nervous or anything like that and not looking forward to see Hanako, was another option as well. She swirled the straw within her glass of the mocktail that she ordered. She hated being here where everyone seemed happy and just excited and all she could do was be afraid that Miku did not only invite her. Maybe she should stand up and talk to him if he would be here. She shook her head mildly, took up her glass, took a sip of the drink and put it back down. No she came here to enjoy the music and she would do that, trying, considering, caring perhaps. She hoped the music could distract her because that was everything she needed right now. Delta was right. She brushed her long black hair over her shoulder and combed through it with her fingers in an absent minded gesture, not knowing what to say, no one to talk to. What would she do? @tag words notes MADE BY VEL OF GS

Several people stare at the two hosts dressed up in all their fancy, but that did not matter at all to the Chronicler Of The World. Nor did the fact that several people were chatting to one another or preparing for their upcoming performance. What did matter what that he prepares himself for the upcoming trial. You see, this may appear to be some ordinary, proper-like, fancy musical festival...but that is only for the untrained eye.
You see, what this truly is, is a test. A challenge of the mind. A proclamation to the world. These are not musicians but speakers of the soul, followers of the future that is only spoken of in words and music. Only an exclusive sect of people have this gift, and while Kaz may not be one of those few, he is worthy enough to grace them with his records. For what is a chronicler but yet another muse of sound?
Beside him are 3 other people. The first is dressed up in in formal yet casual wear commonly seen in workplaces , checking her phone for unseen conversations from the workplace. The second, decked out in casual wear (which was clearly against the rules, she is just another one of the 'rulebreakers' refusing to honor this institution and its rules) appears to be resting her head on her arm, seeing her phone for the forbidden social media that the other woman CLEARLY told her not to do while her brother is doing his performance, thank you very much. And the third person is cast in a casual hoodie, clearly not wanting to be here yet out of the depths of his heart decided to aid his dear friend in his hour of need.
The pieces are falling in place now, Kaz nods approvingly as he reads up on his book, burning the lines in his memory. Soon the world shall know the power that is the Chronicler of the World.
(As he becomes absorbed in his reading, Kaz's mom and sister stare at him, hoping that he doesn't embarrass himself again. Kaz's sister stares at his friend, Reddarc, and apologizes to him for what is about to follow.)

| All according to Keikaku, maybe~ | | Finally, the night had arrived and with it the encroaching moment where all her efforts and plans would reach their conclusion, and as excited as she was, Elise was just as nervous for discovering the results and consequences of her idea. However, she was in the greatest company she could possibly ask for, after all, what princess would not desire to have a knight accompany her? And a knight she had, in the form of Tetsuko Shindou. She was glad that Tetsuko had accepted her request to accompany her, after all her plan would had been needless if the iron-blooded knight had not been present.
But still, as she arrived with her knight at the fourth corner Elise could already feel a light weight bearing down onto her shoulders, a pressure of nervousness, a tension that was caused by the large crowd that had already been gathering inside. Whoever had aided the owner of this bar in the marketing of the event, clearly had done their job! And it made Elise's upcoming idea all the more exciting, yet it also made her much more nervouss.
Fortunately, Elise was still quite capable of hiding said feelings, instead gently squeezing Tetsuko's hand for a moment to renew her courage as the introduction to the night unfolded. It seemed that there had been quite a nice collection of performances gathered for this evening, and it was clear the event hosts didn't plan to let that go to waste, for one of the co-hosts presented a rather fascinating opportunity: a chance to showcase your skills on a even larger stage.
Not that it was exactly something Elise cared about. Fame or wealth had no place in her love for the piano, and even the reason she was here was so fundamentally different from what most might had thought a performer would have been thinking about when they came here. Still, at the same time, it was also so fundamentally 'like Elise' once she would reveal the nature of her performance.
A soft hum followed in the wake of the introductions as Elise turned toward Tetsuko and spoke with a smile. "According to the memo Delta-san gave me earlier my performence in the second in line~ But I got to admit I'm just a little bit nervous." Elise chuckled sheepishly as she continued. "Could you please get me a glass of water Tetsu? I'll wait for you over there near the entrance to the backstage~"
She pointed into the direction that led further into the building and after waiting for Tetsu to go the girl took a deep breath. "Don't forget the plan Elise... If you're already nervous, no way you're going to be able to do this when you're on the stage. Besides Kaito-san and sensei will be here also most likely."
Light steps followed as Elise walked over to the direction she had pointed at earlier and mused softly. "Just remember Kaito-san's advice: Play without regrets."
As if recalling a chant the girl spotted a familiar face nearby, the sight of him seemingly causing the tension to disappear from her body and a bright smile to grace her lips. Why wouldn't she be excited at the thought of meeting a friend of both herself and Tetsuko? Indeed, Kenshin Akadama had left quite a favorable impression upon Elise.
"Kenshin~" She called out to him with a light wave of her hand, although little did she know if he would recognize her or not! After all her hair was more styled in a proper and graceful hairdo than the usual slightly wild and carefree locks, and she certainly was dressed much more formal considering the dress she was wearing! "It's me Elise~" The girl said, just to make sure he recognized her. Still, it really did her nerves good to see a familiar face in the crowd. "Didn't think you'd show up for an event like this~ Tetsu is here also by the way, she should be back any moment now."
She briefly turned her gaze toward the direction of the bar and explained with a smile. "Seems I'm up as the second act of the night~ How about you? Here as a spectator, or is our samurai in possession of other weapons aside from his blade?"
At least she still knew how to be a bit of a trickster even while being nervous.

“What the fuck are you wearing?” asked Retsuko when her son came out of his room wearing torn jeans, black ranger boots and a black T-shirt with “FUCK” printed in big white letters on it. “What?” answered Darren. “You love that t-shirt.” “You’re damn right I do, but go back and change, moron. It’s not a bloody dive bar.” “So what?” “So if you, my son, show up with a T-shirt that says “FUCK” in big letters, my boss is gonna chew me the fuck out, so you march back to that room and change NOW. End of discussion.” The adolescent grumbled something, but faced with the insurmountable might of motherly authority, he could only snap back a frustrated “nothin’!” when his mom asked “what the fuck are you mumbling over there?!” As one might have expected, knowing both the son and the mother, the Daimon home life was something quite energetic and high-volume. Finally, after a couple minutes spend deciding what would look best on stage that his mom wasn’t gonna throw an aneurysm at, Darren remembered he had the perfect t-shirt for the occasion. He came out wearing the same torn jeans, the same boots, and another T-shirt with white markings. With his leather jacket covering half of it, only the middle letters “UC” showed and it looked like the last letter was still a K. “Do you think you’re funny, son?” said Retsuko with murder in her eyes. “Very much,” answered Darren, opening his jacket to reveal the “DUCK” T-shirt he was wearing. --- “No, not Buster, BLUSTER. He’s American.” “How many Americans are there in that damn school? It was another American that you fought last time too, wasn’t it? The blonde girl? Principal called me because you dumbasses fought without supervision?” “Yeah, Jasmine,” answered Darren with a chuckle. That one’s even more American than Kirk. Last time, there was a bunch of coppers at school for whatever reason, I shit you not, she went straight to the “talk to my lawyer” bit.” Mother and son snorted laughter. The car was stuck in the middle of Tokyo traffic, which elicited a long yawn from Darren. “Mother of hell, that traffic’s slower than a bad shit. I’d be here already if I went by foot.” Like a whip, Retusko’s hand snapped out to slap her son on the back of the head. “No usin’ that quirk of yours outside of school, dumbass. You’re gonna get caught, and you know what we talked about if you get kicked out of this school.” He grumbled agreement, and like any good teenager would do in that situation, retreated to his headphones and Primus. Or would have, but his mom janked the headphone jack from his socket and handed him the aux cable instead. “Don’t be a bloody asocial, son, share that shit!”
A couple dozen minutes later, a small black city car pulled up in front of the Bluster household. Darren reached with his hand over the dashboard to announce their presence with a honk, ducked under the other backhead slap his mom tried to give him with a quick activation of his quirk and shouted out of the window: “OI, KIRK, GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE!” Retsuko just reeled back into the driver’s seat -- which is on the right, welcome to Japan -- and sighed. Sometimes, trying to raise that idiot of a son right felt like an insurmountable task.

Post by Takumi Fujimoto on Apr 22, 2019 21:23:49 GMT -4
Takumi had only officially begun his employment at The Fourth Corner maybe two weeks ago, thanks to Delta's willingness to hire a high school kid to help out behind the bar, but tonight his presence would come with a bonus non employee aspect. In the time leading up to this night, Delta had been putting much work and energy into setting up an event for all the regulars along with anybody else that would be willing to stop by and check out some musicians looking to put on a show and get their names out there. For Takumi, this big music night was a huge step for him and despite his slight apprehension to being on stage in front of a bunch of strangers, he had been looking forward to his chance to put on the first performance since an end of the year jazz band recital at the end of junior high. Transferring to Yuuei so late into the end of his first year of high school meant that he wasn't able to perform with his old classmates, but even that would have been solely in front of other classmates, parents, and school staff instead of a plethora of (likely drunk) strangers forming the crowd like tonight would entail. Always the team player, Takumi got to the bar earlier that day to help Delta and anybody else at that point in time with cleaning up the whole establishment and setting up equipment. It was a pretty cool thing that Delta was doing for the nightlife, even if it might have been primarily motivated for a boost in business or just to help her fill the bar with a more excitable crowd for all Takumi knew, but he wanted to play his part in every aspect of it all since she had given him a huge chance by hiring him. There was no way he wasn't going to help pull his weight for the sake of helping get The Fourth Corner ready for the big music night. Once everything was set up for all the various acts to easily get on stage and do their thing, along with cleaning up the rest of the bar so all the patrons could enjoy their evening without encountering any grime or filth, Takumi texted his few friends and old bandmates from junior high to let them know when to show up and whatnot. With some details transmitted, Takumi went back to working behind the bar, working on cocktails for a few customers with the combined experience of his pseudo barista apprenticeship under his father back home in Karuizawa along with the more specific instruction under Delta that had been coming along. Takumi's cocktail mixing skills weren't quite up to snuff when compared to those of a tried and true veteran bartender, or even to the skills of his own when applied to lattes and cappuccinos, but he still felt a warm confidence combined with a sense of fun anytime he got the chance to make a new drink. He even went so far as to practice back home in the dorms with non-alcoholic ingredients while binging a few "how to" videos on uTube for all sorts of mixed drinks, and even took it upon himself to buy a nice suit styled after some of the bartenders from shows set in classier time settings. Takumi's outfit: With everyone else looking their best, Takumi knew that his own attempt to look classy was still just barely passing the minimum, but he still felt comfortable in that suit while standing behind the bar. For the most part, Takumi would only allow himself to drink water leading up to his performance, mostly because the sugars and other stuff in other drinks along with any food morsels that could get stuck in his teeth would only gunk up his instrument when it came time to play, but he would take a small black straw and dip it into any cocktails he made for a few seconds and then pulled it out to taste the result of his crafting. Hey Delta! Thanks again for letting me go first! I'll try to get myself back behind the bar after we're done to help keep everybody served!Takumi always wanted to make sure he could properly voice his appreciation to other for the little things, even if they didn't really matter, plus as far as he was concerned he already owed Delta so much for her graciousness. As Takumi hung around helping the general flow of business along with preparations for the big evening, he noticed that his boss seemed to be feeling in a chipper mood herself, which was saying something considering that she usually seemed to be in a relaxed, if not warmly aloof, state of mind. Eventually, another woman would arrive looking just as classy and beautiful as Delta, and she just so happened to be sharing a similar role for the event as a co-host. Normally, Takumi would want to introduce himself to her given that she seemed to be a friend of his boss's and likely someone important to the business whom he just hadn't met quite yet, but unfortunately her arrival was quickly followed by an act of emceeing to get the night rolling. Takumi took this as a cue to head to the back room that Delta had repurposed into a prep room for all the acts, and in going back there he met up with his three old friends from junior high whom agreed to help him out and come perform tonight. Truth was they were all just as excited to play as Takumi was, but he still felt their presence as a big favor from friends for old time's sake. They were up first, so Takumi pulled out his case from underneath a chair and opened it up to pull out his saxophone and strap. Once the instrument was hanging from his neck, Takumi pulled out a reed and placed it on his tongue, pinching his lips together over it and began to slightly suck and trying to produce more saliva to get it nice and warm and moist. His heart was racing, but his eyes were projecting excitement rather than anxiety, and he couldn't wait to take the stage and get to play some music for everyone. You guys ready? I know we haven't had much of a chance to practice together, but we all know these songs by heart and have played together long enough to work off each other. So let's just have fun out there and play...The rest of the world faded into obscurity for the time being while Takumi's mind was isolated into a tunnel vision of the bubble between his friends and himself. He had been listening to more Coltrane than usual for the past week, and was starting to feel an emotional connection between the legend's music and himself; hopefully Takumi would be able to channel his own inner Coltrane tonight and even if he couldn't reach those heights, the foundation of his bandmates would definitely keep him afloat while explored what he could do with his little alto saxophone.

"You are NOT going to a bar at YOUR age!" "B-b-but my bros going there! It's literally in the brocode for me to..." "Your 'bro' already drinks!? And I thought you had an eye for the sort of people you should hang around! What would your mother think if I told her about it?" "NO! We-HE is gonna be singing there! And I gotta go make sure the crowds ch-" "...You guys sing Karaoke at your age?" "A band! He has a band!" "Ooh... Well why didn't you say so? You made me almost use up all the air left in my lungs." "I did but uh..." "You mumbled propably." "Yeah... Yeah, I did."
Honestly, he couldn't help it. He was pretty much the pinnacle of health, and now he felt forced to ask his grandpa for a permission to go to the exact opposite. and as guessed, it was extremely hard to convince an old man stuck on his values to bend an inch. However, eventually they got to some kind of compromise: Kirk was allowed to go, but no drinking any sort of alcoholic drink, or accepting offers of such drinks, and to promise to open the door quietly when coming back home. "And I do promise that I won't tell your parents about it. I do know that teenagers gotta have SOME freedom in their lives." "Thanks gramps!" "Take it as one last celebration over doing well back then." "I will!"
It was definitely a victory on it's own right... However, old Doohan already was wondering about this "bro" of his. Kirk hadn't actually brought friends home yet, but had been outside plenty of times. And for Kirk, the reason for that was obvious: His grandpa was always really grumpy when he didn't like people, and taking what his biggest bro was like... well, it was a big risk in multiple ways.
As the evening came, Kirks clothing was as simple as it could be: A long sleeved t-shirt with winged baseball on it, and a bright red cap, with Darkish grey sweatpants. Clearly one hundred percent ready for a relaxed day out in the night. "Okay, I will add a rule: Don't get a cold!" "NO SIR!" It was clear Kirk was a bit anxious. He wasn't exactly the sort of guy to go to bars, so he didn't know what the air in those was like...
But all those worries were pretty much blasted away by sudden loud shout coming from outside, which made even his Grandpas eyelids go up and down like a flickering light. Kirk however reacted like a sportsman, running to the window, opening it and shouting "I'M COMING BRO!" Before he ran in front of his grandpa and bowed. "I'm going now..." "Sure you are." Then, the rest of the trip was absolutely speedy, as he rushed through the doors, stepped outside and rushed over to the car opening the door... and in the process bumped his head on the roof. "BROW! Sorry!" Sitting down, and seeing a couple of stars, he still noticed Darrens mother, and proceeded to snap his fingers on his forehead like some sort of soldier, giving a brief greeting. "Hello mrs diamond!"
Doohan looked on from the window, trying to get some kind of image about the person who had picked up his boy. "Huh..." Kirk meanwhile, was as ready to go as a scout to a pizza night.

G had better days. Days where he didnt have a terrible breakup with his fiance. Days that were like blissful dreamland. This was not one of those days. When his adopted daughter visited him and her future adopted mama, she realized the two adults split up. And she got very angry for G and his terrible shennanigans. He would always do something stupid and relationship breaking. After a good scolding and one slap later, his Miku would have stormed out of the door and the house. G just rubbed his cheek as it probably now had a red hand print. Well, he should've seen it coming. Although he expected Hana to slap him, not Miku. Oh God, no wonder she's mad. They're truly like mother and daughter, Hana was the only worthy woman to get that title, and G fucked it up While rubbing his cheek and going to the bathroom to see in the mirror, G noticed something. It was Miku's phone. He curiously picked it up and saw the Tweeter post G&Miku ✔ @420guccigang
Guess which one is coming to #FourthCornerMusicNight
19/04/2073 LAIKA OF GANGNAM STYLE He then rubbing his chin pondering. Fourth Corner? That wasnt a place he's been to yet. And she DID say to guess which one of em is coming to visit. Well, considering Miku's been a naughty girl, G decided to hold on to the phone for now, he decided he'll have fun with it later. Although before that fun, he took a sneak peak at her other messages. And it looks like Miku was gonna play in a band. Well G wasnt gonna miss that opportunity. G noted the time when this music night would take place and he made sure that he was gonna be there ~Later/The Music Night/Fourth Corner~ G arrived at the location and entered the bar. The place was packed full. He personally wasnt a fan of crowded places. It was loud and it was a pain. He found a place where he could sit. Finally he could relax, focus on other things, something more lighthearted. That is... until he saw her. No not Miku. But Hanako. He felt his mouth just went dry when he saw her. He felt cold sweat. Did she see him? He hoped not. He didnt want to be seen. She looked so pale, was that makeup or malnutrition? Hana did say once abaout her... problem. God, he hoped he wasnt the cause of that. Where was a menu? He needed to hide his face pronto. He looked around and took it and quickly went to obscure his face. Well, until the fun shows started, G decided to wait and tinker with Miku's phone. Yes... lighthearted stuff, G knew exactly what to do. It made him grin

It had been a relatively interesting evening to say the least. She was never one to shy around from an interesting evening or a chance to mingle calmly and lightly discreetly when she could. The small moments to get away paid to let her hair down when the troubles of running a business such as hers wore down on her. The allure of small places such as this never visiting a single place to often in a pattern made such places nice for little getaways at times. It paid to not be in the direct spot light like Thunder, choosing to run her ways more discreetly when she could. Meant less people of notoriety would notice her beyond those that knew to keep their lips sealed.
The music itself that played and the lovely host and co host to the whole thing kept it all quite interesting. The music wasn't perhaps all up to her tastes but it was still nice on the ears. She eyed from time to time those playing curiously wondering which of them were people who might one day catch her ear or eye of interest. Leaving most of those thoughts at the door though as it was more about relaxing tonight.
The woman strolled across the floor between sets of music at one point. Holding a glass to her lips as the hard burn of strong whiskey sloshed down her throat with a cool bit of soda and ice mixed with it to ease the sensation. Tight jeans and dark heels on her feet and a leather jacket covering her upper body. Her good eye and bad one covered by dark shades with her dark hair recently taken care of nicely.
Sliding out a chair she made herself comfortable sitting near a possibly familiar face she was lightly surprised to see. Without much of a warning she'd slide into a seat near 'Hanako' or as Nori knew her Nanami Midoriya.~ Sitting down calmly for a moment with a clack of her glass on the table and placing her small hand bag atop the table as well rifling through her for pack of smokes and golden lighter somewhere within.
"I leave out for the night to see what interesting things people are up to at such places and I happen along a familiar face! Doesn't happen too often for me..." She'd say softly with a warm smile in a rather relaxed demeanor far more relaxed and peaceful then the last time they'd met. "Looking a little under the weather, or perhaps as if you'd seen a ghost, Music not up to your standards ms Midoriya?" She'd ask in a friendly tone sitting nearby the woman curious to see how they'd react to the friendly albeit she expected surprising greeting. Her warm smile at least mostly genuine. Taking a few moments there after to quickly light up a smoke as it pressed to her red lips and drawing in a soothing breath. She wondered what kind of fun might start when the actual displays for the night would soon begin.

A VITAL SPECTATOR It had been a while since Tetsuko had seen Elise as nervous as she was coming up to the music night. Tetsuko hadn't seen what the big deal was, Elise had practiced the piano plenty in the past, right? So playing a few songs was surely not too big a deal for her, not when the Eisenberg girl was as talented as she was. Regardless of the reasons for her nerves, Tetsuko was sure that Elise was going to put on a show for the people, as skilled at entertainment as she was.
Of course, it was only natural that Tetsuko come along to watch and support her girlfriend during her performance, the swordswoman arriving in the bar alongside Elise and raising a brow at just how busy it was. This was not nearly as small an event as Tetsuko had first thought, and the place was bustling with spectators and performers, some of the latter Tetsuko recognized as schoolmates, not that she had the opportunity to call out to them in the busy bar.
A gentle squeeze around her hand told Tetsuko that Elise really was feeling nervous about performing. Sure, she was good at hiding her feelings, but Tetsuko had known Elise for very well long enough to see past any obfuscation.
Still beside her lover, they'd listen to the announcements and greetings of the night's hosts, who had quite the showmanship about them. Tetsuko had heard to expect as much from her own grandmother, who was apparently familiar with the place, and its former owner. Figures, as far as Tetsuko knew, the old woman knew just about every inch of Shinjuku.
Once the women were done talking on about how exciting the night was going to be, Elise grabbed Tetsuko's attention, reminding the ironblooded lass that she was going to be performing fairly early on in the night, and asked for a glass of water to sooth her nerves in preparation. "You'll do fine, you know? Yeah, I'll get a glass for you, meet you over there." Tetsuko affirmed coolly, squeezing Elise's hand once more in an affirmation of support before setting off to retrieve the refreshments. Really, Tetsuko was surprised to see Elise so nervous about this... Then again, the crowd was much larger than expected!
Tetsuko became quite familiar with how bustling and busy it was as she made her way to the bar, starting to understand why Elise might find performing in front of this crowd a bit nervewracking. Nonetheless, Tetsuko would be successful in her task after finally finding her way to the counter, where she filled up a couple of glasses of water near a cooler they had available. Didn't cost her anything, though Tetsuko did have money on hand in case Elise sought some apple juice later in the night.
On her way back to where Elise would be meeting her, Tetsuko spotted another mutual friend of theirs in the form of Kenshin, a swordsman she knew from one of the local dojos. A good friend of both of theirs, as Tetsuko had heard that Elise had met him at this point too. "Elly, I'm back!" Tetsuko called out. Walking over to them, Tetsuko would wave as she handed a glass of water to Elise, before smiling back at Kenshin.
"Hey, didn't expect to see you here, Kenshin." Tetsuko admitted, brow raised in surprise. Some of her schoolmates she'd heard talking about it, particularly the band "OD Hazard", but Kenshin was someone she hadn't foreseen as being an attendee. Perhaps this night was even bigger than she'd first suspected, well, than anyone had first suspected.

Okay there was nothing normal about that interaction with G. Haruuhi knew that something was up so she immediately texted Miku to find out. As it turned out G and Hana had broken up! Of course it had to happen Haruuhi had opened up and let Hana into her life and then boom as she expected something went bad. Of course Miku told her all of the dirty details as to what he had done specifically to cause the break up, and honestly as much as he had wronged her, Haruuhi couldn't say she was completely on Hannah's side either. Hadn't Hana been happy to be pregnant? Sure it might not have been part of her plan in the long run but who didn't want a happy family? who didn't want to have a kid of their own? Of course the obvious answer to that was every parent who never abandon a child like herself ... but that was beside the point. So after having cleared things up with Miku Haruuhi went out to try and find G to see what she could do to make things better. And that brought her search back here, to the 4th corner, the first place she and James had gone to to use her fake ID and where she had gotten plastered. Yep seemed appropriate for her dad to be here of all places. As she walked into the establishment she found that there was some kind of event going on, and judging by the posters over the walls something called music night. Okay so that could be fun, noisy but fun. As she stopped she started to look around herself to see who she could recognize, there were a few familiar faces that she noticed off the bat so she knew she had to be extra careful about how she went about using that fake ID if she needed to use it at all. It didn't take her long to notice Hana standing out in the crowd, and if the woman looked her way she would offer her a small smile and a wave and then gave her an apologetic look before turning away to see if she could find G. It wasn't too hard for the little redhead to find him using her Quirk, managing to navigate through the crowds and find him sitting in a booth alone and hiding behind a menu. She raised an eyebrow as she looked at him but then realized that he must be hiding from Hana not having expected her to be here. Well that was all the better wasn't it they ?could settle this once and for all. She decided to go to the bar, show her ID to the bartender, and I order a couple of drinks. She then picked them up and brought them over to G's booth and set one in front of his menu. She would sit down at the table across from him and set up a menu of her own in a way that blocked other people from seeing her completely. " hey, what are you doing here? I thought you'd be at home or patrolling. Your texts really weren't all that convincing you know, so are you going to tell me what's going on exactly? I've already spoken to Miku so I already have a pretty good idea of what's happening, but I want to hear it from you. Dad you know I'm here for you just as much as you're here for me right? " She said flatly as she brought the bottle of beer to her lips and took a swig of the drink. Shouldn't really care at this point that she was drinking in front of her adopted father, he come to pick her up piss ass drunk before so why was this any different? At least this way he could keep an eye on her or more she could keep an eye on him.
