The night was going on far too long, and Arvis was tired and barely any more relaxed then he was hours ago. Having ventured to new territory in the form of the bar "The Forth Corner", he had all but hoped that it might take his mind off of trivial daily matters...or the worse, regretful decisions that still haunt him to this very day. While taking in the sights of Kabukicho was pleasant even, if nothing more than a distraction, it could only last so long before it felt no different than the rest of the streets of Tokyo.
Just...with a tinted, neon glow to hide the underlying, dark secrets that lurked around every corner. The thought continued to sicken him as Arvis made his way down the streets of Tokyo once more, leaving the bar behind as a brief respite and pulling him back to the slog that was his life. Arvis wanted nothing more than to make a difference. To amend past mistakes and make strides to the future. Where would he start though? Being a simple driver wasn't going to do that, and his vigilante work wasn't committed enough to say he was helping stamp out crime. As it was, Arvis still feared what he was capable of, and felt that, deep down, he might never achieved his peak. As long as that dread lurks inside, always inhibiting his decisions and choices.
The time at Forth Corner did clear his mind a bit, and brought back a tiny amount of juice into his soul once again, for what little that meant to the wandering vigilante. Without much thought, as he shuffled lazily back to where he had parked his car, Arvis kicked a stray soda bottle, sending it about a bus length away without thinking. He listened to the plastic tap against the pavement as it bounced several times, continuing to rolls. However, Arvis had stopped moving along with the bottle. The noise of the plastic served no purpose to the vigilante.
What did though, was the faint, muffled sound of struggling. Arvis instinctively started walking towards the direction of the voices, almost on autopilot, taking him away from the street his car was parked. The noises grew louder and louder. First as grumbling and tussling, but then full on calls for help and attempted efforts to silence the voice as he drew nearer. The closer Arvis got to the noise, the faster the vigilante moved. Once the voice rang loud enough, Arvis was in a full on sprint, finally catching up to the winding alleyway that was host to the tussle.
A woman, fairly young and most likely only a year or two younger than himself, fought against two thugs that grappled onto the woman, gripping her tightly and preventing her from running. The woman was, unsurprisingly, in distress as her clothing became torn in parts at the intense struggle.
"Eey, you think the boss-man is going to like us tampering with the goods before we get her to him?" Arvis heard one of the sleazy men say as the other one grinned wickedly.
"You're going about it the wrong way of thinking. We aren't tampering. We are...sampling before selling. Can't have broken product, it will make him look bad, right?" The large man snickered as his muscly hand grabbed forced the sobbing girl to crane her head to look directly into his eyes. "Why cry? You are lucky to have been seen as worth our time. Now stop fighting and-"
Around this same time, the girl's eyes had averted away from the bulky man, looking down the alleyway to notice the blond haired vigilante. "Please Help! Help me!" She called out in a panic, likely not thinking as the man gripped down on her throat to silence her.
"I told you to shut your trap!" He shouted, but Arvis took the time to charge forward. The two men standing on standby in the group turned when they heard rapid footsteps, confused at the girl's reaction. "Hey, get out of here if you know-" The man hadn't even fully turned around as, in a burst of his quirk, Arvis launched himself into the air.
Feeling his muscles strengthen and the odd sensation of Primal Fury's tail sprouting from where his tailbone would be located, Arvis thrust his knee forward. The man who first became aware of Arvis' presence ate a mouthful of unadulterated force as the kneecap busted against his teeth and skull. The man gurgled and spurted out a surprised scream as the was smashed backwards against the blow, collapsing to the ground with a shattered mouth, blood pouring onto the ground.
Arvis landed onto the ground cleanly, his transformed lower body taking the form of an the carnotaurus beast. Arvis tail sways back and forth, awaiting command from the body, to which was the second scout proceeded to rush Arvis. Reflexively, Arvis spun his body in a rounding spin, building momentum, his powerful tail slamming into the second thugs side, sending him short distance away, landing in a heap in front of the leader of the gang of thugs and his weaselly second in command. The thug gasped for air, reaching for the leaders leg.
"B-Boss. This guy ain't real." He choked out, the leader and his cohort staring in a mix of annoyance and fear.
"Damn, this is one of them quirk guys, ain't it?" The second in command called out in high alert as the leader tilted his head in wonderment.
"So it seems. Nobody I seen before. Looks like the rookie has gotta be taught who owns these parts." The hulking man tossed the girl unceremoniously to the side, letting her fall to the ground. "Get the catch outta here. I have business to settle here."
The lesser goon snickered as he snatched up the girl once more before Arvis could react, the two taking off down another branching path.
"Get back here!" Arvis feared he might not be able to catch them if they get away now, being that his quirk lacked speed. Starting to run forward, the vigilanted attempted to split from the impending fight with the leader. The other man had other ideas. While Arvis was prepared to dodge an thrown fist or attempted grab, the man did something Arvis was unprepared for. Turning his gaze, the transformed quirker saw the large man reel his leg back, seemingly ready for a kick.
But the distance is too far away to hit, why would he-
Arvis' eyes widened as the large men slammed his foot against one of his lackeys, sending the thug spiraling directly at Arvis. Instinctively, Arvis went to grab the thrown person, but both the weight and force behind the attack threw off his balance, hitting Arvis against a nearby wall and tripping his sprint up, forcing him to the ground.
With the collapsed body on him, Arvis threw the man off, but was unable to even catch his bearings before the leader was above him. Slamming his foot down on his stomach, Arvis gagged before being grabbed by the arm and dragged to his feet. The man lifted Arvis up, throwing him down once again with force.
Arvis struggled to get his bearings, but it was no use. The man largely overpowered him, even with his quirk because the thug got the upper hand. For all he knew, the man could also have a quirk, but what could he do? He needed to think of something quick, or else.
He needed a distraction. Anything. Vision was going blurry. Time was running out-!

It was a typical night for Roy as he once again went out on patrol. Though his definition of 'patrol' was helping out the locals. He honestly didn't mind it! A vigilante didn't have to kick ass and take names all the time and it was nice to be a friendly neighborhood kind of guy! It had grown quite dark as he was helping Mrs. Applegate to her home from the fruit market and spent a few minutes inside her home.
"Now, dearie, you are just so nice helping and old lady home. And to be paid in meatballs!"
Roy just shrugged with a pleasant look on his face. "Well, they're just so good that I feel I'm ripping you off, Ma'am."
She unceremoniously plopped a very large meatball into his gloved hand and Roy just sort of...stared at it. The woman chuckled excitedly. "Go on! I want to see you eat it. That's my favorite part!"
Roy hesitated at first, but seeing the look on her face, he took a small bite. Giggling at how delicious it was, he nodded happily. "That's a good meatball! Alrighty, I gotta get going now. Catch you later!"
He left the house while occasionally chewing on the meatball, taking in the pleasant cold weather. This place truly was very amiable to the newcomer, who was so used to the harsh weather of New York. There wasn't really even as much crime as-
"Nani?" He murmured, hearing a sound off in the distance.
Roy shoved the rest of the meatball in his mouth and ran at full speed down the road, swirving around the corner to spot some guy with a girl thrown over his shoulder running from an alley. Roy didn't say anything because this was serious. He just focused his mind, calming it to allow his quirk to activate properly. Breath. Just breath. In and out. There's a good boy. Now...
He threw a fist out, sending a stream of wind directly at the goon's legs. The force was enough to knock him down just as Roy threw himself into the air. The guy had haphazardly sent the girl sprawling onto the ground and Roy was quick to rush to her side.
"Excuse me, Miss. Are you okay? Anything hurt at all?"
The girl just looked up at him, trembling terribly. "No, No I'm fine! But the guy who tried to save me...he's still down there! You need to help him!"
Roy nodded to her, turning toward the goon. He picked him up by the scuff of his shirt and, with a small build up of compressed air, he slammed his fist straight to the guy's face. It was an instant knockout. He looked back at the girl.
"Don't worry, I'll handle it. You just get yourself somewhere safe, alright?"
The girl nodded but, as Roy made his way to leave, she ran toward him and grabbed his arm. He gasped at the sudden grab, turning to regard her. "What the?"
"Please," She pleaded. "Don't leave me. What if they get me again? I'm not from around here!"
Roy breathed a sigh, but understood her plight. A hero's work was never easy. So he masked his frustration with an easy smile and a thumbs up. "Alright then, I'll get you to somewhere safe. But first, I need to help out this guy. Lead the way, if you would be so kind."
She nodded and led the way, which wasn't too far. Within a couple of minutes, they had arrived to a very one sided encounter. A bunch of goons were all ganging up on a single guy, who was already on the losing end of the fight! Roy bared his teeth in anger. Talk about an unfair fight!
He breathed out once again, letting all emotion leave his mind. He dashed at the large man, building up compressed air around both of his fists. Roy jumped into the air and, with as much force put in as he could muster, he slammed both fists against the man's ears. The intensity of the punch in tandem with the rush of air into his ear drums would cause the man to be extremely disoriented as Roy would flip over the big lug to land next to the blonde that he was beating down.
Roy looked down at him, holding his meatball stained hand out to him. "Hey, man. Think you can stand? I dunno if I can take this guy on my own."

Pummel after pummel, it took everything in Arvis' conviction to withstand the onslaught of attacks the tank of a man slammed into him. Arvis could feel his consciousness struggling to maintain as the man lifted him up again for another drop. Was this really going to be it? The realization was daunting, and made Arvis' mind reel with the knowledge that he was insignificant in this world of crime that he desperately wanted to fight against.
"D-damn it." Arvis coughed out with what little air he had left in him as he was hefted up, the leader of the group ignoring his words as he went to initiate what might have been the final blow of the battle. However, it seemed that a strike of luck came flowing in like the winds of change. Whether it was simply by change or some divine miracle, another figure emerged suddenly with a surge of retaliation against the criminal. Though Arvis couldn't see properly from the mix of dazed eyes and being hoisted up, it seemed that whatever the newly approached fighter had caused the man to release his grip on the vigilante as he was dropped unceremoniously onto the ground below.
Arvis chocked out a pained groan as he hit the concrete. He supposed it could have been worse, considering only gravity had done the damage this time. Looking towards the large man, he saw his staggering and gripping his head with his hands clasped over his ears like he was attempting to drown out some type of noise. Arvis was puzzled at the sight, but he didn't entirely care as long it had bought him enough time to recuperate.
"Hey, man. Think you can stand? I dunno if I can take this guy on my own." A voice spoke up suddenly from just off to his side. It was a calm and warm voice as the friendly fellow reached an welcoming hand down towards the confused and foggy Arvis, which his eyes tried to focus on the sudden companion he gained during this beatdown. Though it was difficult to focus entirely, his eyes stared at the hand which appeared...oddly greasy and coated in some strange sauce. In the time that Arvis looked at the hand, he fought against his aching mind and body for a response.
"I-urgh...Sonava b-" Arvis grit his teeth as he clasped his chest. Every ounce of him was in severe agony, but this was no time to consider resting. There was bigger issues to deal with, such as the-
Opening his eyes from the pulsing pain, Arvis caught sight of the dazed criminal leader regaining some of his composer and stomping over, lifted both his arms in a sledgehammer swing of his arms over the masked crime fighter.
"Moron! Look out! Move!" Arvis shouted with a surged second burst of energy from a second wind. Smacking away the assisted aid's offered hand in a moment of urgency as he twisted his body to punt the masked figure away with a kick that was just strong enough to shove the young man away.
With the masked vigilante pushed away from the incoming danger, the criminal leader swung his arms down to club where he once was. This attack would miss its initial target, however it put a new target in its place. Arvis' leg was prime for slugging, at he only had a second to react before his leg was smashed by the attack. There was no telling how strong this guy truly was, and his leg might very well be broken with such an attack.
In a flash of readiness and the still flowing moment of Arvis twisting his body, the vigilante let loose a torrent of steam from the vents that ran down the side of his leg that was just strong enough to blast the man directly in his face as his arms came down. The sudden retaliation strike caught the man completely off guard as he howled out in agony, gripping his face.
With both the man's sight and hearing impaired from the dual jointed attacks back to back, Arvis wasted no time in swinging the momentum of the prior kick into flipping his entire body onto his chest. With all of his might gained through the adrenaline, Arvis shoved both his arms with force into the ground to lift his body. As the man reeled backwards in agony, the full force of Arvis' quirk was laid into the covered face of the man with both his legs thrust upwards not unlike a bucking bronco.
The attack slammed heavily into the man whose hands separated in surprise, blood busting forth into the air as his eyes attempted to stay open. Landing with a slight stagger, Arvis spun around to face the large man. However, his heavy eyes grew in surprise when something unfounded happened.
The blow against the man didn't simply daze the man. Slowly, almost as if watching something melt, a strange seam started to appear from the neck of the man that supported his head. The seam started small, and slowly started to grow as it tore across his neck as the man started to stumble backwards, his body fighting to stay upright.
Arvis steadied himself as he watched in a mix on concern and worry as the man's head barely hung onto it's body by a barely noticeable strip of flesh.
"Aegahemrgh" If words slurred from the dangling head as his eyes darted around the sockets like a fly. Gravity eventually took its toll, and the head fell to the ground with a thump. For a brief moment, a silence filled the alley as nobody quite wanted to make the first move. This wouldn't last though, as the alley filled with a burst of light from the man like a blast of a flamethrower.
Arvis covered his eyes at the momentary shift in lighting before looking back at the man. Where was once a normal human head, was now replaced with a billowing, blueish green flame that wafted in the night air. Standing firmly now despite the attack, the body kneeled down to pick up the head that had been knocked loose. As soon as the hand came in contact with the skull, the eyes lit back up in an alert fashion before grinning a wicked sneer.
"It has been a while since last I had to use my quirk." With the head firmly in his grip, he clenched his free hand as the flame grew wider and more wild. "Let's hope you both make this more enjoyable than the past times I have had to use it."

Things were going to escalate any minute now! Ah, crap this wasn't going to end well if he didn't get this guy outta here before the big thug recovered. Looking down at the blonde man, he looked completely out of it. Then again, he had taken quite a beating from this fight already! He shouted for Roy to move and within a few seconds, he had been sent flying away from a powerful kick. It wasn't anything too extreme, but effective enough to move him out of the way of an incoming attack. He hit the ground unceremoniously, but quickly readjusted his body to rise from the dirty flooring to witness the spectacle occurring. There was so much steam being built up around the two! Roy couldn't quite tell what was going on at all and only had the faintest idea as the shadows fought. He could hear grunting and, as the steam cloud cleared, he saw the two facing off. "Crap, this isn't good!" He murmured, turning to the girl. "Go hide over by that trash can. If we can't take him down, I need you to run and get the police. Understand?"
She nodded as Roy turned back to gaze at the...what the blazes was he looking at? The man's head had fallen off! Wait, no his head was now on fire! Roy breathed in deeply and held it in for a couple moments before breathing outward slowly. Alright, Roy. Let's do this. I've got his rear and the other guy has his front. If we coordinate this right, then we can bring the lumix down. Here goes nothing!]Roy raced after the man, calling up a rush of wind to slam at the big guy's back calf in the hopes of throwing him off balance. At the same instant, he would be passing right near his opponent, building up the wind in his fist. As a hit and run tactic, he would attempt a quick thrust to the man's kidney as he would rush to meet where Arvis would be standing. He was unsure of the other's strategy, but he could at least do a little bit of damage as he would reunite with his temporary ally. "Okay, so he's name a flaming demon thing. What should we call him? I'm thinking Bishamon...then again, he might be too low tier for a name like that! What about just fire boss? Simple and generic! Just how I like my villains! Good talk. What do you say to bringing this guy down and then we can decide who gets the reward from the pretty lady? Coolie? Name's Jetstream, by the way. Got a name or is now not the time, beautiful stranger?"Arvis Belmont

Arvis' breath was heavy as he recuperated himself, standing up straight and using all of his reserve energy to even continue fighting. This was very well life or death, and despite the other crime fighters less than serious attitude towards the gravity of the situation, he couldn't help but feel relieved that it was a two on one in his favor.
After the obvious taunt towards the two with outwardly extended hands and a conjured grin of elation upon where the face would be upon the flame. The masked fighter took the bait, however obvious it might have been, and Arvis grimaced at the thought.
"Damn it!" He grumbled loudly, knowing that he had to be committed to the attack now, otherwise they would probably both lose. Arvis charged directly towards the imposing, otherworldly man as his partner took the attempt at landing an ambush strike. Swinging a leg with all his might, the criminal blocked it effortlessly, which only resulted in Arvis attempting several more kicks.
None of the attacks landed, and at this point, the man almost seemed to be toying with them. The other vigilante landed his blows against the back of the man's calf and kidney, which only seemed to get a brief tilt of his head in his direction as if he were nothing but a annoying insect that buzzed around. The attack did budge him ever slightly though, and the moment he turned away, Arvis took the initiative and spun his entire form in a twist, hoping that the might of his powerful tail would topple the man.
Without even looking though, the large palms of the criminal snatched a hold of his incoming attack, fiery eyes slowly tilting towards Arvis as his body skid a few inches from the impact.
"Nice distraction. Not good enough however." Gripping down firmly on the scaly appendage firmly and with force. Arvis couldn't get a word out as his entire body was yanked towards the giant with a heave. A gasp of air escaped Arvis, the uncomfortable sensation of being tugged like a rope, Arvis was losing control of his muscles could barely keep standing, but the man solved that problem as he lifted him up by the tail.
Arvis, in a panic, thrust a foot in an attempted kick, but the awkward angle and tensed muscles only caused his attack to swing into the flame that had replaced his head. A amused chuckle was bellowed out before the man hurled Arvis like a bag of trash down the alley with a hard *thud*.
With a groan, Arvis fought to get back to his feet, rubbing his back in pain. 'Why is he dragging this out? He could easily have finished me off there.' The thought crossed his mind as he grimaced and recovered, but the thought was quickly drowned out by the sudden regrouping of the other crime fighter.
"Flaming demon...what? Bishamon? Fire Boss?" The words he said didn't really matter, as Arvis was barely composed enough to find a more reasonable set of response. What was this guy even on about?
"Look, I don't give a crap if he is some nobody or Saint Nicolaos' evil twin brother, what matters is he is trying to kill us." Arvis staggered to his feet with a frustrated expression and harsh tone. Though his mind went off the rails when the man started rambling, childish things like rewards and names. Not to mention idiotic words like 'coolie'.
"Listen, I am not in this for a reward. I saw a helpless person in danger, and I could stand the sight of these scumbags, so I interjected. That's all. No ulterior motives, Jetstream." His tone was aggressive towards the bizarrely dressed vigilante, though that was largely because he has gotten the short end of the stick in taking one to many blows during this battle. Jetstream, really? Also, did he just call him a beautiful stranger? Wouldn't put it past this guy.
"No, now is not really the time. I suppose it would help though, so just...ugh." Arvis rolled his eyes in annoyance. Why was he wasting his time? Not to mention his life on the streets always taught him to be rather defensive in giving up to much about yourself.
"Vito. Vito is fine. Whatever." Thankfully Leo had given him a fake name to use if tracks needed to be covered. He brushed himself off with a hand, and the large man down the other side of the alley seemed all to amused by their little back and forth, letting out a boisterous laugh.
"Any time you all are ready for round two, I am good to go." With crossed arms, he chuckled. "Or perhaps you would like me to start?"
Arvis' eyes widened slightly as the large figure took in a large breath before leaning his body forward, letting loose a torrent of the turquoise flames that billowed from his body towards the two vigilantes. Arvis, despite running low on fuel, swiftly rolled his way out of danger of the wall of flame heading their direction, kicking his legs against the ground to begin rushing down the towering monster of a man again.
"Go, now! This might be our only chance!" Arvis shouted out an order over crackling and snapping stream of supernatural flames, hoping that the other crime fighter escaped the inferno also. They needed to catch the large man when he was least expecting it, but how? Even when they synced up their attacks earlier, they couldn't even land a decisive strike. It was like hitting a sandbag. Arvis could only run off of his adrenaline for so long, and that time was likely to be up soon.
'I hope that idiot comes up with something. I don't know how much more I can take...'
The rising body heat flowed off his body in the cold night air that trailed behind him, building up for one last attempt at a finishing attack. Just why did it have to be all down to putting his faith and trust into...Jetstream...

Mechanic-F Turbulence-E Martial Arts-F 451 w. Roy could only stare at the big guy in disbelief, as none of his attacks had landed! Oh jeez, man! I didn't even phase him!
"What kind of regiment do you do, my dude? How many sit ups? What kind of juice do you drink!?"
He wasn't even paying Roy any mind, as if he were some inconsequential insect! What a jackass. So, this guy was a flaming hulk monster with over the top strength. But it was also two against one, so the odds were in their favor. Roy turned to regard his partner with a cocky grin.
"Yeah yeah, I get ya. White knight complex and all. I dig it! Glad to help out, Vito, though I wish we'd have met under better circumstances."
Oh who was he kidding? The adrenaline coursing through his veins right now, channeling and complimenting perfectly with the zen calm that went along with both his quirk and fighting style had all culminated into a feeling of pure joy. He was never much of a brawler, but he knew how to defend himself and he would do just that.
In tandem with the blonde, Roy threw himself to the opposite side into a dive away from the roiling flames and tucked it into a roll. As he came up, he threw himself forward to build up as much momentum as possible. Vito was distracting the monster expertly with it's flames chasing after the other guy while he completely ignored Roy. That was his mistake.
He braked furiously just behind the fire boss and began to channel the air around him, moving his arms in a swirl before him. The currents began to pick slightly around the bad guy's feet at first, but slowly began to ascend up to his knees. Within a minute, a barrier of swirling air had overtaken the guy. Roy grit his teeth in complete concentration, feeling sweat bead down his forehead as the jet of flame was colliding violently with the wind.
"You...know the thing about fire and air? They don't mix too well."
Roy brought his other hand down to channel the wind to close off above his opponent, sealing him in a chamber of air. The combination of tight air and the flames destroying any oxygen that would be trapped would hopefully cause the big guy to suffocate just enough to knock him out.
At least, that was Roy's best gambit anyway. He turned toward Vito and breathed out a great big sigh through grit teeth as he continued to hold the barrier as tight and steady as he possibly could.
"I don't know how long I can hold this...but if I can't knock him out from this, well, at least he'll be a bit tuckered out. Yeah?"

As Arvis rushed forward, giving all he had left to hopefully take down the goliath, he saw the other vigilante named Jetstream emerge from the other side of the torrent of flames, prepping to try and end the encounter. Arvis grinned slightly, glad to see that he was still good to go. However, what he wasn't as glad to see was that the huge, monster of a man they fought was capable of steering the flame.
It seemed that the amount of force and size of the flames slowed it down though, allowing Arvis time to get close enough without getting engulfed in the underworld flames. The villain was clearly tunnel visioned completely on Arvis, which only spurred the blonde on more into a sense of 'fight or flight' as the flames licked the outer edges of his skin, narrowly consuming him.
Baring the pain, Arvis continued to charge forward with the powerful flames in scorching pursuit, building momentum as he watched his ignored partner seemed to be doing some kind of...ritual behind the criminal. Arvis didn't question it, not really having the choice to considering his state of well being, but after a short time, a strange wind tunnel seemed to start to wrap its way around the man, slowly at first but eventually consuming his whole body in a typhoon that started to whip together with the gale and flames that spewed forth.
Arvis didn't have a clue what was happening, but it obviously involved this Jetstream's quirk, which didn't have any bearing if it meant taking this guy down. As the cyclone whirled around fiercely, it slowly encased itself around the large frame of the dullahan, creating an almost bubble-like sphere of searing fire and air. It seemed to be an attempt to choke the life out of the bulky man, but instead seemed to be having an odd, inverse effect on the criminal.
"What are you doing! Kill them!" A voice barked out, Arvis now noticing that the knocked off head was still capable of speaking. The face of the man was a contorted mix of anger and rising concern, giving Arvis hope that this plan might work. Arvis turned his attention to notice that the body of the man was tensing up, almost as if he was losing control of his muscles and started to strain from the air lock he was put into.
His arms tightened, legs stiffened and his entire upper body squatted down into, unable to stop the streak of flames to continue spilling out. The strangest part though was that his skin seemed to be started to glow a similar color to the flames, pulsing with power slowly at first, but building in speed over time.
Arvis heard Jetstream call out from behind the criminal that started locking up about being unsure how long he could make the attack last, but Arvis was hoping to end this now. Once he was close enough, and the man unable to move his limbs to retaliate, Arvis sprung forward into the air, attempting a dragon kick at the large man with all of his remaining energy and force. Being unable to halt the stone-breaking blow, the attack connected.
Though to something that neither of them likely expected. Almost like a ticking time bomb, the contact attack seemed to be a catalyst for all the built up, concentrated energy the dullahan was collecting in himself from the blocked passage. Arvis' eyes widened as the man's body glowed a eerie blue color before he reeled backwards from the kick that plunged itself through the flaming sphere and, throwing his upper body back in a thrash, let loose the detonated, concussive blast of a bomb.
Trying to brace himself, Arvis' eyes filled with a bright light, covering his face but being launched by the explosion, landing some distance away with a heavy, hard slam into the ground and a tumble. The large blast hurt like a bitch, but Arvis still felt his consciousness remain, albeit it was still a struggle to remain awake at this point with his entire reservoir of stamina tapped, if not far past that point.
Heavily breathing, Arvis shakily tried to push himself up from the spill he had on the ground, wincing in pain as he looked over to see the smoke starting to clear from the blast and a smoldering figure could be seen kneeling down with a weakened, shaken look to itself also. The Dullahan. How it remain to continue standing, Arvis wasn't sure, but it was clear that the attack had messed it up pretty bad, evident by the struggle to stand itself, and the now slightly panicked look on the dumped off head to the side.
Arvis could hear the head shouting at it's body, but Arvis chose to ignore it as he fought to get up on his two feet.
"Jetstream!" Arvis tried calling out, though it came out rather roughly from the strain of his body fighting against the pain. Clasping his knee to try and push himself up and grabbing a damaged shoulder, he shouted again. "Jetstream! He's almost out for the count. You have to finish it. I'm spent!" It was actually the truth. Arvis could possibly attempt to aid in some way, but if he tried, it would be even more a risk than trying to hope that Jetstream could finish it. It would allow the villain to use him as bait against the other vigilante.

Mechanic-F Turbulence-E Martial Arts-F 470 w. Roy looked on in awe as Vito went in for the attack. The built of strength had connected with the bound bad guy with such force that something quite amazing had happened. All of the resting potential energy within the monster had built into a ticking time bomb and had exploded all at once at Vito!
The man was sent flying, crashing to the ground with a fierce thud. Roy had a momentary lapse as he looked on in worry at his team mate, but sighed soon after realizing that he was still conscious.
"Had me worried there, bud!"
Though the big bad had unleashed quite the attack that had even pushed Roy back a bit, he was still in the fight. Just what the hell was this dude made of anyway? The head was still barking orders and insults so, as Roy ran at him, he reared his leg back and kicked the head straight at the wall of the alley in the hopes of shutting him up.
He was also having a hard time breathing, having used up quite a bit of his quirk, but he was being depended on. His ego would not allow him to quit just when they were at the cusp of victory. So when Vito had called for him to finish this, he grit his teeth and charged straight at the slumped over form of The Dullahan.
His mind focused with razor sharp precision into forming a pocket of air around his right fist. So tightly packed that they could crush stone if need be. As Roy came within a breath's distance from the massive body, he dashed into a crouch just below him, pulling his arm back to prepare for the attack.
"Hey, douchebag! You're full of hot air!"
Finishing line delivered, Roy slammed his fist into The Dullahan with such incredible last ditch strength that it sent him flying backward into the air. He hung there for a few moments before coming down crashing painfully. He wasn't moving aside from the occasional reflexive muscle spasms.
Roy shook his hand to wave away the pain of the hit before running over to Vito, breathing heavily from the adrenaline. He took hold of his arm forcefully, not allowing the other man to argue, and used the leverage of his body to support him in standing up.
"Come on, man. I know it sucks, but we need to legit get outta here 'fore the cops show up. Time to blow this Popsicle stand."
As he ran for the way out, Roy gestured to the girl to follow them and she more than happily complied. With that, the three would ditch the alley just as the tell tale red and blue lights of the law would flash through the night. By then, they would already be on their way, albeit a bit worse for wear.

Arvis was glad that this Jetstream guy still had some drive in him, both delivering a strong punt against the head to shut it up (something that Arvis had long wanted to do to the loud mouth after the criminals true form was revealed) and following by a powerful strike to send the recovering, hulking monster soaring through the air momentarily before crashing to the ground once more.
If he wasn't capable of ending the fight there, then who knows if how things might go. They were not fully aware of what this guys full capabilities with his quirk were, but considering he seemed to be holding back, the Dullahan could have been much, much worse, and they had dodged a fight which could have ended one, or both of their lives.
Thankfully, the fight had ended with Jetstream's finishing blow against the large man, only showing occasional signs of movement in muscle spasms. Approaching Arvis, the other vigilante tugged him away with urgency, to which the blonde didn't contest. He was far too weak at this point and could barely even move. Though Jetstream seemed to be hitting the point of exhaustion, the two had to make the escape from the scene, lest they were caught up in the crime scene.
Making a fair amount of distance with Jetstream's aid, the female victim in tow easily following them out of a mix of worry and dependency, they made it to a safe sector of the city streets with the sounds of sirens ringing out in the far distance. Looks like they made it out easily enough, but one of the scumbags escaped, since the criminal wasn't found upon fleeing.
With heavy breaths, Arvis rested against the stone wall, his head leaned against it and taking in the slightly chilled night air. The pain from the attacks was beginning to take it's toll, and the building body heat from his quirk was just not starting to fade. Pinching his eyes closed, Arvis just took the relief of it all being over in stride. Who knows the injuries he sustained, but at least he was still alive.
A chuckle of disbelief escaped him as he shook his head, just now realizing what had transpired in that alley and couldn't help but be blown away. "God damn..." He muttered under his breath, enjoying the feeling of taking down that scumbag. Sure, things could have gone better, but it was, what Arvis considered, his first major take down. "So we really did it, huh?"
"Oh, thank you so much!" A feminine voice sounded nearby from his closed eyes, sounding borderline on the verge of tears and in dismay at what nearly happened. "I can't thank you enough!" Arvis finally opened his eyes and gave a weak effort at a smile, the half cocked response greeting the gratitude effortlessly.
"I couldn't very well let them get away with what they were about to do. It's sick what some people are capable of, but I am just glad you are safe now." He said, not really delving into the subject any harder. She was clearly having a rough time handling it, and Arvis couldn't blame her in the slightest. In fact, he was surprise she was even capable of walking with how shaken she was.
"A-Are you okay? P-Please, if there is anything I can offer you in return, or as a reward of some-" As the woman approached the blonde, he simply leaned to one side and waved a hand dismissively. "I'll manage. I've been in worse shape before. Don't worry about repaying me or anything. Just seeing those guys taken to jail and you being safe is enough."
She seemed to want to insist, stepping even closer to the tall blonde with a look of pure worry. Arvis gave her a once over, noticing the torn parts of her clothing from the scuffle and harassment, which only made him more concerned for her than she seemed to realize. With a tilt of his eyes, he pat his partner on the shoulders with a hand.
"Hey, big thanks back there. I really appreciate the back-up. I don't think that guy would have let me slide for what I did, and I probably would have been the one lying back there if you hadn't shown up when you did." He was genuine in his thankfulness and tone, albeit clearly tired from the conflict. This Jetstream guy might have been a bit of a dolt when it came to opening his mouth, but when it boils down to it, despite how he handled things, still gave it his all.
Sure, his humor was ill placed at times and the pun delivered for the finishing blow probably wasn't necessary, but hey. At least he had nothing but good intentions.
If not for him, he might have died, and this woman would be a slave to some sick bastard. "It means a lot to me. Truly. For both her sake and mine." With a gesture of a finger to the disheveled young woman nearby him, gave a hearty and warm smile. "Hey, Jetstream. Want to help me escort her back home? She is just as worse for wear as we are and, frankly, I don't feel comfortable letting her walk home in the middle of the night with the current shape she is in. How about it? For job completion purposes, partner?"

Mechanic-F Turbulence-E Martial Arts-F 437 w. They had gotten a fair distance away before Roy had come to the realization that Vito couldn't take anymore. So he gently released the blonde man, allowing him to rest against the wall in complete exhaustion. Roy himself had bent over, gripping his knees for support. He huffed out loud breaths as his body shook from the adrenaline high that was coming down...never before had he overextended so much before this night!
It was quite thrilling, actually. Maybe he could get used to this?
Seeing the girl fawn over Vito brought a smile to Roy's face. He was glad to see that she was safe and sound enough to worry over the beaten and battered man. In comparison, Roy was in far better shape when looking at how much damage his counterpart had received during the fight.
Roy raised a brow at the cuts and tears in the girl's clothing and reached up to unclasp his cape, wobbling over to her and draping the red cloth over her person.
"Here, wear this until we get you back home. Just make sure to get all cleaned up and file a police report tomorrow okay? Try...to leave us out though. It may seem a bit unfair to exclude our involvement, but trust me when I say that we don't want the attention. Right, Vito?"
He hoped that she would understand. Roy didn't want fame or glory. All he wanted was to find his brother. He wanted the attention of the criminals and not the police. The last thing he needed was to be detained and shipped back to America.
Roy gave a big thumbs up to the other man, smiling with a cocky attitude. They worked well together, but he wouldn't let Vito know. He didn't seem the type to take compliments well, so Roy just chuckled slightly.
"Hey man, you totally had that! All I did was swoop in and make you look good. But I do wholly agree with you that we still have a job to finish. Shall we?"
And with that, Jetstream gently pushed his body against the man and eased his weight against his own to support him as the two wannabe vigilantes escorted the lady back to her home. With a kind wave and a heart brimming with pride, Roy watched as his first ever villain fight ended with the smile of a thankful person.
He plopped Vito down on a nearby street bench and sat down next to him. The two men staring at the sun as it began to rise. Rise on a new team up, if Japan would allow them to survive. "Hope we can do this again sometime...partner."
