Tch. Of course. It was too much to hope that this hero would be as amenable to working together as the last one he ran into. Eyes narrowed, Kou prepared himself for a fight- Between his Asura Piercers and that staff, which was stronger, he wondered? For his first proper fight to be against a hero... How unexpected. He let out an exaggerated sigh. "Sometimes I can't help but wish I'd signed up for that damn hero program." However, as expected, being a hero just wouldn't suit him. After all, those people had so much money and influence... There was no way those dogs of the government would ever be sicced on them.
However, before it came to a fight, the Hero's face suddenly changed- Had he received a message? Most likely yes, considering his immediate change in attitude. Well, that was perfect wasn't it? He would lead Kou right to the action. He dashed after the serpentine hero, and saw the same as he did- Figures fighting on the landing below. Not one to waste time, Kou leapt straight over the edge of the fire escape. As he fell, two of his piercers caught the railing, swinging him back inwards to land on the lower platform- Between the other three combatants, and the way down. "Oh, I'm sorry, am I in your way?" Kou would mockingly ask the person who had attempted to make use of Serperior's sudden appearance to make a break for it. "What can I do? I don't feel like moving!"
Meanwhile, the other girl was objecting to Serperior's choice of targeting her. That voice... He had only been listening to it a few minutes. Kou raised an eyebrow. So that was why she had run off like that, huh? Well, that was one less problem to take off his list. "Oh, you? You are... Well, I don't suppose I'm one to talk."
Despite his joking tone, Kou's actions were anything but. Of his octet of lances, the bottommost two would raise in front of Kou's body like a boxer's guard. On his left, two would lunge forward. Their target? The knife in Nari's hand, or perhaps it was just the villain's hand in general. In any case, the intent to disarm was clear. And of course, that left four piercers, waving menacingly behind Kou's back- Waiting for an opening, or otherwise becoming necessary.
Kou's stats because I totally forgot them before shhhh

Just as he’d expected, the addition of Vigilantes had turned the mission into an unsightly mess. Serperior was fast enough to stop himself from tumbling into the vigilante woman, and the flying corpse, but they slowed down his entry anyway. Another hostage down. They’d--no--Hachi had--saved one. The situation was spiraling out of control. Serperior had gotten used to being outnumbered, and had used to working with Hachi-chan, but this? They were already getting in each other’s way. Serperior let out a sharp hiss of frustration, folding his Quarterstaff again as he struggled through the door, fully ready to smack the still-living Vigilante to the ground to keep her from doing anything else reckless.
"DAMN IT SERPERIOR! I'M ON YOUR SIDE!”
She sounded familiar. Again. Was something going on with his ears tonight?
He was severely tempted to still go for the hit. But there were priorities. If one of the villains had thrown a body at her, she wasn’t on their side.
Probably.
And if he dealt with her, the woman who had killed a hostage was going to get away.
“If you’re being honest with me, then secure any hostages that are still alive. There’s one behind me.”
He couldn’t stay to see if she’d listened. He had to keep moving. He slithered after the Killer, weaving around gaps, compressing his body when needed.
“You know, I don’t believe you seriously thought you could escape.” Serperior called out to the villain. “To me, this looks like public suicide. Martyrdom for an insane cause. Do you actually think there’s a life after something like this?”
When it looked like he had a clean shot, he cocked his arm back, hurling his quarterstaff at the back of the woman’s legs, trying to trip her so he could close distance.
TL:DR Serperior passes by Yuri, chasing Nari down the hallway, and throws his quarterstaff at her legs, trying to make her stumble.

If it weren't one justice crazed hero, there had to be three of them after her. What was she, the fan favorite? As she tried to escape, she heard the sound of lightning just whizzing past her ears, turning her head around slightly and dodging the few bolts that were thrown at her. Easy enough, although one of these 'so called heroes' just had to stop her in her tracks and block her path, using some mechanical looking spider contraption to block the hallway. Where did he even come from? the fire escape was the other way unless he sped past her without her seeming to realize. How could such a person fit through such a tiny fire escape door? Nari would have to answer that question later, it seemed Mr. Spiderboy over here wanted her knife, or the one she held at least. She maneuvered her hand away from the other's pincers, not letting his grubby mitts get a hold of her knife. She just finished sharpening it today for the mission, she wasn't about to let it go that easily. "It's not nice to just take things from others without asking first~" she cooed, smirking up at the boy once she heard another sound through the air, a weapon of sorts it seemed. The green eyed woman dodged to the right side with her knife ready in hand as what appeared to be a staff of sorts fly from where she once stood, hopefully hitting the spider-limbed boy instead.
If the staff was successful at hitting the noirette, Nari would take the opportunity of vulnerability and thrust her knife into the boy's side, creating a big enough wound to start bleeding rapidly. Hoping to leave him immobilized for now without using her quirk, Nari would pull her knife out quickly before dashing past the roadblock and into the stairwell, using the railing to slide down as the stairs would take up too much of her time. If they wanted to follow her, so be it, but would they just leave a fellow companion like that? Maybe Goro, or Blackout, would like a stab at them too? She needed to leave the building before reinforcements showed up, dealing with the cops was never good.
If the rod was not a successful hit, but a well timed distraction, Nari would use the moment of hesitation to roundhouse kick the boy in his desirables before plunging her knife into his side. That for sure would leave him immobilized. His 'pincers' didn't seem to cover the whole front of his body, so some parts were more exposed than others. With the offender hopefully down, Nari would rush past, pulling her knife from him, and heading into the stairwell, making her escape out of the building and into the dark of night unseen.

Behind the clang of fists against metal wings and his draconic opponent’s obnoxious screams, Goro was aware of the commotion that had now surrounded Serpentine. Perhaps she just looked like an easy target to the vigilantes, or her solo murder of their first hostage had made her seem more in need of punishment than the others, but no matter the reason, two vigilantes and a snake-like hero had all gathered around her, flinging attacks and yells at each other with reckless abandon.
That suited Goro just fine. He didn’t really care for the lamprey-mouth woman anyway; her attitude had done little to endear her to him and her enigmatic relationship with Nick certainly didn’t help, so letting her serve as a distraction for the moment didn’t leave him with any real regret. He glanced down the hallway after Nick, thinking to follow after him, before he heard Drag-On stand once again and charge at him.
Even with his wings as a shield, he couldn’t do much to balance out Drag-On’s momentum, and he was sent crashing through the door and onto the floor. He rolled a distance away from the vigilante, stopping himself with his arms just before he hit the wall. From the angle of the shadows cast over him, he could already guess that the wall behind him wouldn’t be made of glass, offering him a quick getaway. He was, in a sense, pinned down already.
All that was in the room were a couple chairs, a green screen setup, and a producer’s desk. Steam pouring out of Drag-On’s skin was beginning to gather around the door, obscuring the action outside.
Goro motioned as if pushing his glasses back up through his helmet, and pushed himself off the ground, resting on one arm in a crouched position. “Payback for torture... What makes you so much more qualified to deliver it than I?”
He swiped a wing out to knock out one of the desk’s legs, toppling it to the ground between them. Hopefully, Drag-On’s own steam would hide its pieces from him, and provide a momentary distraction. After all, Goro was now in more than just a physical altercation with him, and he needed all the time he could to fire back.
“Do you have no idea what ‘that woman I tortured’ did, or is it somehow different when I’m doing it?” He hissed. “In case you’re forgotten, I’ll enlighten you. Six teenagers she tried to murder under the guise of a rescue exercise! Specifically targeting people like you, who think protecting the quirkless will make them despise you less!” His voice was growing in volume and intensity as he continued, and as he finished he suddenly rushed at Drag-On, aiming a kick for his torso.
Whether it hit or not, Goro would try to stab Drag-On’s left arm and pin him down to the ground. “Children, trying their best to appease people like her, and it still wasn’t enough! They were almost drowned like caged rats, and when they managed to narrowly escape, she forced them back down with her Quirk! If anyone’s guilty of torture here, it’s her! I simply returned the favour!”

Lightning Strike Yuri Kobayashi - Pop Star
What was it with these mutation quirkers making it so easy to identify them... why wouldn't they try a little bit harder to conceal themselves.... When she essentially saw a giant spider man crawl out and place himself in Nari's path she nearly facepalmed. Kou, what the hell was he doing... she left him back in the studio for a reason... if they weren't found retreating with the rest of the people from the building they were going to get found out and that was going to heavily impact both their careers.
She let out a light groan as she finally managed to catch herself, leaving Nari now to Kou who was making her escape possible. Even Serperior jumped into that fray and that just made things way too crowded for her. This fire escape was already pretty treacherous for her Speed quirk, so When Serperior told her she should help with the hostage she just rolled her eyes and nodded.
"Yeah fine fine. Just hog all the fun why don't ya" Yuri grumbled as he went off. Yuri instead turned to the hostage that remained alive, a disapproving look on her eyes as she walked up to her and helped her back to her feet. Instead of consoling her however, Yuri was cold, and made sure to keep a firm grasp on her wrists behind her back. She wasn't stupid, she heard what they were all saying about Semper Fi and about what they did. She had no idea if this lady was one of those anti quirkers, but regardless she held onto her tightly just in case. She'd bring her to the cops anyways and explain the best she could while trying to pretend like she was a pro.
"This day just keeps getting better" She grumbled to herself further as she helped the woman back inside, leaving the fighting to the others as she began their decent back towards the front doors, taking care of any stragglers aligned with the villains on the way.
When she got back to the main entrance, she saw the earlier van speeding out, and a glympse of Fuzebox driving it with a maniacal look to his face as he plowed through the police barricade and drove off.
Meanwhile, Yuri brought the woman to the cops as she said she would, explaining the situation inside. That was the OK the police needed to move into the building, sweeping the floors one by one to ensure the safety of the workers and visitors.

Knocking the both of them inside the room, Brandon tries to filter out the steam that is surrounding the room. Normally he would try to calm himself down to stop the excessive steam pouring out of his body; however, seeing the masked man standing there fills Brandon's mind with the reminder of the broadcast.
The way they assaulted the hostages. The way he jabbed his knife into her. The way he scooped out her eyeball. The way she was violently killed by the psychopathic woman.
Those images are burned into his mind. There's no way he can calm down after that.
Brandon takes a step and noticed he stepped on a broken table. He looks down only to hear the man start rambling. It's clear that he's trying to save his own skin. However, in an instant, the man leaped at him and aimed his knife at his left arm. While this time he has his quirk fully out, he'll still receive a huge gash from the knife. He tries to block- “In case you’re forgotten, I’ll enlighten you. Six teenagers she tried to murder under the guise of a rescue exercise!" She did what? This caused Brandon to falter a bit, allowing the knife to cut his arm. Brandon winces but Rising Hazard protected him from the worst of it. Problem is, being caught off guard allowed the man to have an advantage on him, causing him to pin down Brandon.
"If anyone’s guilty of torture here, it’s her! I simply returned the favour!”
Those words snapped Brandon back to reality. All of a sudden he starting fuming in anger and grabs the knife itself with his free right hand. "Re...returned the favor?!" He growled. "THAT DOESN'T MAKE YOU RIGHT!" Blood started to come out of his hand, but Brandon was furious that he kept going. "YOU TRY TO SAY THAT SHE DESERVE IT, BUT NOTHING DESERVES DEATH, NOT EVEN THAT! SHE DIDN'T HAVE TO DIE! THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO DIE! YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO DO THAT! THE FACT THAT YOU DID KILL HER, MAKES YOU WORST THAN HER!!!!!!"
Screaming, straining his lungs to the max, he attempts a head butt.

Of course, it would be too easy if she just let herself get disarmed. However, as he began to respond, the vigilante would find another problem heading his way. A quarterstaff. Fortunately for Kou, he already had a guard up to defend against the hijacker. Unfortunately for him, guarding against the strike meant he left himself wide open- A searing pain tore through his side. "Fuck," the masked man grunted as he nearly doubled over in pain.
He didn't think the strike had hit anything vital- But it was deep, and needed attention. Clutching his side, the man made his instant assessment- Almost all the hijackers had made their escape, and the hostages were beyond help. As evidenced, too many people being here was just getting in each others way. Especially one who was injured as Kou was. "Right. She's all yours, Naga"
A slight slip. Naga. His old nickname for Mikhail, a lifetime ago. But right now, being recognized could only be the least of his worries. Right now, he had to find Sano. And from there, an underground doctor to take care of this wound. Tch. Clicking his tongue, the vigilante scrambled for the closest window as quickly as his injury allowed. He had no interest in sitting around to wait for any heroes who felt like picking up the scraps.

A hero needed to be perfect. It was the giant, unspoken truth behind the license, a lie that even many of Serperior’s peers couldn’t see. The Japanese government could have called them anything, but they’d chosen the word Hero deliberately. It was a child’s word, an impossible lie. It meant that you couldn’t fail, or hesitate, or err in the public eye. Perfection. Nothing less.
Thus, the villain had made a mistake thinking he’d stop to help a Vigilante. It was simple. If she got away, then Serperior was the hero that had let a villain terrorize the public, then escape. It didn’t matter how many people he saved if the threat was still out there--in the end, the mob was far more willing to accept a “heroic sacrifice” than the knowledge that evil had gone unpunished.
Serperior slithered past the downed Vigilante, grabbing his staff along the way, forcing himself not to look at how bad the man’s injuries were.
Even so, the man’s words hit him like a bucket of ice water down the spine.
Naga? No one’s called me that since…
I was a child.
Who was he?
No. No. No. Perfect. He needed to be perfect.
“Where exactly are you going?” He shouted, his voice cool--but there was an edge to it. Was she just going to ignore him? Who did she think she was? “Even criminals will sell out their own if the price is high enough. And you’ve left two of your friends behind…”
Serperior jumped up, wrapping his tail around the rail of the stairs, and slid, moving faster on the slanted rail than he could run. He hadn’t wanted to do this, but…
The second he had a shot at the woman--if she turned to look for even a moment--he opened his mouth, tensing, and then spat a stream of murky liquid at her. His hidden weapon. Too disgusting to use in public, but there were no cameras here. He raised his radio to his mouth, and started to call for backup, then it crackled, Hachi’s voice coming over.
A short message, and a burst of static. His mentor was in trouble.
TL:DR Serperior runs past Kou, and chases Nari down the stairs, sliding on the rail to try to catch up, then spits Blinding Venom at her face.

For a moment, Drag-On faltered. That moment was enough for Goro to force him to the ground. Were his words actually reaching this idiot? Not that he had any intention of just talking this out with the vigilante, but it would make it a whole lot easier if he agreed with him. Of course, it couldn’t be that easy. Of course, the vigilante was simply so outraged he was frozen for a moment. Goro winced back as Drag-On screamed back at him, trying to pull the knife from his hand and failing. At the very least, it would leave a nasty cut down Drag-On’s hand, and perhaps the blood loss would slow him down a bit, but it also meant that Goro couldn’t back away without disarming himself. He had to just withstand the sheer volume of the vigilante’s voice. God, why was he so fucking loud? Did his ears not bleed from his own voice? Even if Goro were to try to get a word in, it'd be drowned out by the vigilante's self-righteous screaming, so instead he didn't even bother, instead focusing entirely on trying to pull his knife from Drag-On's grasp. The blade began to slip from bloodsoaked fingers, just as Drag-on's head shot forward and slammed into Goro's own, making him stagger back and fall to the ground. The screaming ringing in his ears left him momentarily disoriented, enough that his first attempt to stand back up failed, and he crumpled back down. The headbutt had left a crack in the visor of his helmet; not enough to be a problem immediately, but concerning nevertheless. Another blow to the same spot could very well expose Goro's identity, not just to this meathead but potentially to Pro Heroes and the cops. He needed to be far more careful now. If Drag-On didn't take advantage of this brief lapse in motor functions, Goro would eventually get back to his feet, supporting himself with a hand on the upturned table. “She may not have succeeded this time, but who's to say she hasn't found success in the same thing before? Even if she were to face whatever the military deems to be justice for her attempted murders, she could get away with countless more crimes that they'd willingly covered up before.” Goro's mounting frustration shone through in his voice now, raising his voice almost to match the volume of the vigilante. “We can't just allow people with agendas like that to continue, and since the system that should punish such things is instead responsible for them, the only option is to make sure that system can't excuse them.” He had to try and bring Drag-On away from the doorway. The room was far, far too small to fly in, with such little space he’d have a hard time dodging around the vigilante on foot as well. Goro backed up to the wall behind him, and braced himself for Drag-On's next assault, auditory or otherwise.

Brandon slowly gets up, stumbling as his hand becomes a bit numb. Rising Hazard managed to kept his hand still intact for the most part, but the damage is done. He stares at his hand as the masked man stumbles about after receiving a massive blow to the head. He appears to be talking about something. Brandon couldn't listen, he was too focused at his hand. That's a heavy gash... Brandon thinks to himself as he winces trying to open and close his hand. His scales begin to shiver, it's almost time. He stares at the knife in the ground. That knife has done way much harm now. He's already had enough of this guy's antics.
"I didn't listen to what you just said...and I do-don't really care...All I care about at this moment...is stopping you...before you hurt pe-people who really don't deserve it." Brandon stands in front of the door, the only exit for this man. One way or another, he's leaving this building. Hopefully he leaves in an ambulance locked up.
"I won't le-let you get away." Brandon's vocal cords strained. Steam is bursting out of his vents, appearing almost like fire. This is the one. He grips his injured hand...and grabs the knife with his free hand. He rushes towards the masked man, with his injured hand ready to grab on to the man and his other hand ready for a slash at the man's wings. He remembers the last time he saw him, he wrapped his wings across his body to block an attack. He won't let that happen again. He'll hit the wings, then headbutt him one last time.

Just as she thought she was in the home stretch, she heard a voice call out from behind her in the stairwell. It seemed the snake-like hero wasn't giving up that easily. Nari cursed under her breath, why couldn't these idiots get the memo and leave her alone? She wouldn't let his words get to her, she was always a lone villain, a mission like this involving others didn't mean anything to her. She turned her head back for a moment only to see the other launching something from his mouth, something she felt would only harm her if she let it get close to her. She nearly dodged the dangerous looking liquid by rounding the corner, hearing the liquid splat against the floor right behind her. She dashed out of the stairwell only to have the snake-form hero follow not far behind. It seemed like he was still raring to go. She needed to shake him before she went outside, there she would be home free. The brunette was faced with two exit options, the hole in the wall made by some sort of vehicle or the shattered front door. The front door was too easy of a pick while the hole in the wall was close to crumbling with how weak the above supports were.
Nari had to make a split second decision, which exit would she take, how would she slow the hero down that was chasing her? A glint of ceramic caught her eye as she noticed and knocked over, cracked vase with water emptying out of it on the desk close to the entrance way. That would have to hopefully do. She would have to get close enough to it to be able to do what she wanted, else she would get caught. She didn't like to do what she was about to do, but it was her only option. As she neared the exit, she lunged her tongue out and grabbed the vase, turning her head and chucking the vase back at the hero hoping her attack would hit, her tongue out in full view for him to see. Nari dove through the major hole in the wall and dashed into the adjacent alleyway, hoping she had managed to escape the heroes for good. She knew these alleyways like the back of her hand. She was practically home already. "Look out mom, I'm coming home," she thought to herself as she dashed through the alleyway and hopped up onto the dumpster and over the fence, making her way home and out of there in just enough time before the cops arrived on the scene.

Goro watched Drag-On’s next movements, closely. The slow movements of his hand as he observed the blood dripping from it, the brief shivers of his scales that signified his transformation was nearing its end. As Drag-On moved to look away from his hand, Goro noticed the knife was now lying closer to Drag-On that it was him. Unfortunately, by the time he realized this, it was too late to close that distance.
Another cloud of steam burst from Drag-On’s body, and Goro readied himself for another flurry of punches. While the steam eclipsed Drag-On’s hand from view, Goro could easily hear him pick up the knife in his good hand and slash at him. It took him by surprise; he’d expected the musclehead to stick to his own two fists and never even risk using more lethal weaponry, considering how annoyingly self-righteous he was. Despite that, he didn’t hesitate, swinging his wing in front of him as a shield while stepping to the right.
The metal of his armour more than kept the sharp edge of the knife at bay, but the brute force of Drag-On hitting him still sent a shudder of pain through him. Even worse, the impact irritated the wound under the armour, sending a second shudder through his body.
“Try and stop me, meathead!” Despite the pain, Goro pushed on, and made a break for it past Drag-On for the door, attempting to push him away with his wing so he wouldn’t stop him. With his transformation run down, it was highly unlikely that the vigilante could keep up with him. Some part of him screamed to try and wrestle the knife back, but knives were, in the end, replaceable. He could get another one.
The hallway was mostly empty now, free of the four-way battle that had filled it earlier. Goro couldn’t even hear where most of them were, and he didn’t particularly care for the moment. He broke into a sprint heading for the fire escape, not stopping even as he caught sight of the snake hero’s tail out of the corner of his eye. Rather than using the stairs, he ran to the side of the stairwell, vaulted over it, and took flight, heading for the alleyway they’d come from.
Once he landed, he quickly located his abandoned clothes and suitcase, before something occurred to him. Something he'd forgotten in the rush.
Nick. His brother was still in the building, likely fighting that bee. Or, he was dead. Or he'd been arrested. There were a thousand horrible scenarios that played out in Goro's mind as he took his helmet off and covered his mouth, trying not to dry-heave out of panic. If something had happened to him, no doubt Mother would do something a thousand times worse to him. It was too late to attempt to return to the building, though. It was swarming with cops now, and Goro was too injured to fight all of them anyway. He could only hope Nick made his own way out.

The enraged Brandon is pushed aside by the masked bat, as he runs off, his wings mostly protected by some sort of light armor. He runs to the door opening, trying to get away. " Get ba-aaaraaaaaAAAAAAGGGG!..." Brandon twitches as his scales slowly retreat back inside his body, as his eyes slowly turn back to normal and his throat feels a lot lighter. As Brandon struggles to remain standing, glaring at the door, he tries to follow. Brandon's left hand is stained with blood, his right hand gripping the knife. " Get back here you asshole..Im not done with you..." Brandon slowly stumbles out of the room and leans on the wall. He looks around him. He has to be here. He has to be around here. He's not done with him. He has to pay. All those people he killed and tortured, he has to- " That's enough, Brandon. Please." A voice popped in, someone who has remained silent for the majority of the fight. " You need to get back home. At this point of time, there's probably tons of officers...please get out of there." Brandon shakes, but then stops. Kent's right, he needs to get out of here. He can't afford to be caught now. Not while there's people like this quirk terrorist sect's around. He sighs, then slowly walks off. He approaches the stairway, and sees some sort of snake man. He slowly glares at him, and for a moment he thought that they stared back at him. The masked vigilante known as Drag-On shakes his head, grips the knife further, and walks off, towards the back exit. There's no point asking him why he's there, either he's a villain or another hero. He picks up some pace as he struggles to reach the back exit, then stops in front of it. The security guard uniform has been badly damaged thanks to his recent scuffle. He takes off the uniform shirt and takes off the helmet to get some air. Brandon folds the knife and puts it in his pocket, and leaves the building, blending into the confused and surprised crowd. No one other than the assaulted security guard and probably that snake man knew he was there...hopefully. It can't be for nothing. He couldn't stop them killing the hostages. He couldn't even stop the masked man. He's probably laughing his ass off. Brandon glares and walks back home, hoping that at least the others were stopped. *BRANDON'S OUT*
