721 WC Christmas TEmplate! | Chimera, honestly, was never too big on Christmas until very recently. Call it a bad childhood or American cynicism, or that he'd been forced to play a reindeer in every school play through elementary and middle school, but he just didn't enjoy it. Once he'd been adopted, however, and found himself among a gaggle of younger siblings who LOVED Christmas with the passion only small children could contain, he'd started to come around to it. This was the first Christmas since then that he had to spend away from home, though, since his adoption. Flying to and from England from Japan was not cheap, nor was there really enough time in the holiday break to justify that kind of spending. So here he was at U.A, alongside those in similar situations.
So what else to do but gather the misfit toys and have a little party?
At first he'd thought about just getting people together for the Christmas dance that he'd seen flyers for, but realizing that a number of his friends probably wanted to go with their girlfriend or boyfriend nixed that quickly--that, and that O.D Hazard would be playing a few songs, and he didn't want to look like he was rallying his friends just to make a bigger audience. He couldn't hold a party at the dorm, either, because eventually all the girls would need to leave, and quite a few people among his circle of friends were, in fact, girls.
Finally he'd settled on a simple but fun idea: a movie marathon that spanned the whole of Christmas eve from dusk til dawn, with as many old classics and bad favorites as he could squeeze into a twelve hour period. He did the "good student" thing and asked for permission to use the AV room for this little idea, and surprisingly was met with no resistance. He was even allowed to push the desks out, pile the whole room with mattresses and pillows and comfy chairs and blankets and all sorts of snacks. It looked like the sort of thing one would find in a fraternity basement, honestly. A den of comfy surfaces with a giant screen for watching movies with the whole gang. It was kinda...really great.
Now eight p.m had rolled around and it was time for the fun to get started. Chimera was at the back of the room scrolling through Webflicks, the online movie streaming service, and queuing up as many Christmas movies as possible, from stop-motion films from ancient times to ridiculous live-action remakes of classics that somehow still existed online, to an action film that had absolutely no right being on the list except for the fact that it had become a running joke hundreds of years ago and was now so ingrained into his American heritage that it simply had to be on the list. The projector was set up, hooked to his laptop, having been set up by Yojin a day ago.
Hopefully it would not explode at any point in the night.
The first few people would be showing up soon. Hopefully there were enough spaces among the sea of soft seating for everyone to lounge as they wanted. And Ms. Junko would be here soon, too, as she'd volunteered to chaperone. She was probably coming to make sure this "innocent idea" wasn't going to turn into anything lewd. Which. Yeah, a student asking to bring a bunch of beds into a classroom for a whole evening probably looked sketchy on paper. But between her presence and the ungodly amounts of childhood nostalgia tonight was likely to dredge up, he doubted anything would happen.
Though...she might scare Alex more than necessary. Ah well. Chimera had warned him she would be there, as well as the group chat at large. If they got scared off by a teacher being there then it was their loss!
This night was going to be fun, no matter who showed up.
Chimera looked up when the door opened for the first time, and grinned wide at whomever it was who had entered. "Hey! Flop down anywhere, I'm almost done picking what movie to play first. Have to start strong. What do you think: the live-action How the Grunch Pilfered Yuletide, or something actually good?" |

so put that ring away and cash it in While this wouldn't be her first Christmas party ever, it'd be the first that wasn't full of hobbling retirees. There was something about a younger crowd to hype up the holiday cheer. She'd only caught the tail end of the discussion about a movie night, but it was enough to send her flying through the door with two handfuls of bags. The first packed a couple tins of hot chocolate, the ones she'd promised to bring in chat. The other, stuffed with mistletoe. Her favorite freakshow was waiting inside. While they'd yet to meet in person, she did her homework scouring the chat history for photos, and the results of her findings impressed her. Upon entering, she threw both arms into the air, tattoos on full display, and shouted, "Chimmy! It's not much, but I brought the cocoa!" Powder, but no milk. Undeterred, she navigated the maze of pillows and plopped her offerings on an abandoned desk. She afforded herself a second to scan the room, at least an ounce impressed by the lengths to which he decked out the place. "Damn, you did all this by yourself?"At his movie suggestions, she quirked a quizzical brow. "I've actually never seen the live action version." The idea sounded quite terrible, and the goat's follow-up question implied agreement. " But let's start with Grandpa Got Run Over by a Sleigh. The plot leaves lots of room for discussion, so that'll help break the ice when we're sitting here awkwardly watching the credits in silence." She didn't know who or how many were supposed to show up, but a responsible party host always took precautions against social snags. Giving Chimera a chance to let her advice sink in, she grabbed the nearest chair and shoehorned it in the middle of the room, slightly undoing some of his work. With her second bag in hand, she stepped on the seat and attempted to secure a piece of mistletoe to the ceiling. Sadly, it was still out of reach. "Chimmy, you're tall. Help me hang these!" Pleading eyes bore into his, accenting her distress as a damsel.

'Happy, happy Christmas, that can win us back to the delusions of our childhood days, recall to the old man the pleasures of his youth, and transport the traveler back to his own fireside and quiet home! ', Was it Charles Dickenson that ushered those words, Chikako Safaia thought to herself as she walked around almost aloof in search for the room listed on that 'Movie Night' poster she saw prior. Her parents, most particularly her mother, was pressuring her to try and make 'friends' in U.A. For Chikako's own benefit for her highschool career and to allow in the near future to be able to more easily sell things to her follow peers. So why not start with something that would have a lot less people and less interactive? 'Baby steps', that is what Chikako saw this as.
After quite the long wander around the school, trying to find the room that alluded her, by some luck she stumbled upon it. To be far, she has not even attended this school, in person anyway, for more then twenty-four so it was expected to be a little lost in a lone adventure. She took a deep breath, she had to ready herself mentally for what she was about to do, and then she went and let out a deep exhale. She placed down the book she had in her hand onto the floors so she could slap her cheeks she shook her head and stared at the door. 'All I have to do is open the door, walk in, and silently sit down. All I have to do is open the door, walk in and silently sit down. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS OPEN THE DOOR, WALK IN, AND SILENTLY SI-', her head began to combust and she gulped. Anxiety rising , her heartbeat was pattering fast that it almost hurt, and she slide the door open with a bit of force and rushed inside almost embracefully trying to get the nightmare over.
She exhaled in relief from getting inside and closed the door calmly, happy that she got that far and did not run away. Her breathing was still a bit rapid and the signs of an anxiety attack was still semi-visible but not quite as bad as it was a second before when she contemplated opening the door. She looked up, down, and around to a blank room into she saw the goat boy. Her eyes immediately avoided the sight of him and she walked to the side and sat on a mattress and curled up and hide her face into her knees putting her skirt inbetween her legs to hide the sight of her panties.
Her mind was blowing up, and she was trying to fade away. 'What have I done?', she said as she hugged her knees closer. Her heartbeat raised faster then before and her breathing rapid, though she did so silently. She felt around, wanting to converse with him and noticed she dropped her notebook at the book when she was prepping herself and bounced up and almost fell over as she crawled over to the door. Opening the door, she got off the floor to grab the book she left on the floor and as quickly as she opened the door she closed it and blushed embarrassed from her blunder.
She walked back to where she was and sat down, and grabbed a pen on the side and began to walk into it. "Hi, I am Chikako Safaia, sorry my voice is weird so I hope you don't mind reading. I am from 1-c. Nice to meet you. I'm sorry that my entrance is so weird. ", she said as she looked at the floor a bit ashamed. She was shaking a bit, and looked away. Looking at his feet, she wrote again. "I am sorry, though, if you are speaking. I can hear, but it's very bad even with my hearing aids. If you did say something can you write it? I can read English and Japanese", she said as she extended her arms towards him, tightly holding her book with the pen in the middle. Her eyes still deadlocked with his feet as she tried to give him the book.
'Am I doing this thing right? Hopefully I can make a friend like mama wants...', she thought.

Thankfully she had enough time to bake a decent amount of cookies before packing them in a few tins to bring to the party. Chise dressed in her fluffy, cream and light pink pajamas, wearing her matching pink slippers as well. Why go to a movie party if you weren't dressed comfortably? She had talked with the host of the party, a boy by the name of Chimera, in the student group chat about what to bring tonight, she figured Christmas cookies would be better, considering the theme of the party and all. Plus, she could fit more cookies in a tin than she could frosted cupcakes. The peach haired girl made her way to the AV room located in the school, soon to hear conversation coming from inside. She gently knocked on the door and poked her head inside, "A-Ah hello there. Sorry if I'm a bit early...I wanted to make sure I got here before the movies started. I-I brought some cookies to snack on," Chise offered with a small smile, staring at the goat boy who she assumed was in one of the hero classes while the blue haired girl, whom had recently joined her support studies class, was hanging a peculiar item around the room. Chise wasn't quite sure who the brunette was sitting off to the side...was she a hero student? It must be as she hadn't seen her in homeroom at all, so she wasn't in support studies.
Chise walked inside and picked a spot close to the center, she was afraid she wouldn't be able to see if she were far back plus she was short so if anyone tall sat in front of her, she would be out of luck for viewing the movie. She reached into her bag and pulled out the three tins of cookies she had brought, placing them on the table which included some hot cocoa packets as well as some snacks previously there. "I-I wasn't sure which kind to make...so I made a few kinds of cookies. I hope you don't mind," the peach haired girl said with a sheepish chuckle. She set her bag on her seat and turned towards the two other students, "D-Do you need any help at all setting up? I'll do my best to help," she offered, wanting to be of use to the people she was still unfamiliar with. She could help hand the mistletoes that were brought...but she was short so she would need quite a bit of a boost to hang them up. "Were the movies already picked for today or can we suggest some? I-I was hoping we could watch Charlotte the Crimson Nosed Caribou...I-it's a holiday classic," Chise said with a small smile, a hint of red to her cheeks as she looked down at her slippers.

Socializing On Christmas Eve For Rimma, Christmas was going to be... A mixed bag. Although she was still young, every Christmas season she could remember had been spent with her father. Not always on the day itself, and she had long since grown accustomed to celebrating such holidays whenever schedules allowed.Moving to Japan by herself had come at an odd time, however. While she was used to taking care of herself and being at home alone for long periods, she and her father had always made time to celebrate holidays together whenever time allowed. Rarely on the day itself, but this year they simply wouldn't be able to celebrate together at all beyond phone calls, texts and letters.
Still, she had been encouraged to use the holidays as an opportunity to make friends and that was exactly what she planned to do.
So that was why, bundled up in her white knitted hat, white scarf and thick, cotton pajamas and a black overcoat, Rimma found herself entering the AV room a bit past eight in the evening. Her long red hair was left to trail across her back and shoulders freely, and her gray-blue eyes immediately set to scanning the room approvingly. Plenty of food in a good variety seemed to be present, there looked to be enough space for everyone who might show up to make themselves comfortable, and the screen was one of the largest ones she had ever personally seen outside of a movie theater!
She wasn't even the first, second or third one here, either. Taking a moment to shift her coat closer to herself and ignore the cold that was entirely coming from within her own body, Rimma raised one hand up in a polite half-wave towards all who were currently inside. "Dobriy vyecher," She offered the small greeting in Russian, simply wishing them a good evening, before letting her hand drop and stepping further inside. "I am Rimma Savvaeva Yemelin, I hope any of you I might have met before forgive me if I do not remember your names."
Along with her words came a light puff of cold air, and Rimma put a slight smile on her pale, gray-blue lips in an effort to come across as polite and friendly. Glancing between the students present, making sure to offer eye contact to any that did so in turn, she was fairly certain she had not in fact met any of them before. In an effort to continue conversation, she glanced briefly towards the projector before adding. "Has the first movie we're going to be watching been chosen yet?"

774 WC oh lord these names | The first to enter the room was an unfamiliar face with an familiar tone, who seemed to be equally familiar to him. The tin of coco powder gave her away. "Hey, Heidi, right?" He beamed, delighted not only at the first party guest, but also that he was meeting one of his essentially "online friends" in person. She was impressed by the room at large, to which Chimera faked a smug smirk and rubbed his knuckles against the front of his shirt. "Why, yes I did. Lifted all the mattress up myself. Though," he dropped the act, "Rin helped get the last few up here, and a bunch of the pillows, too. Wonder if she's coming..."
He hoped she would. Rin could use a chance to just chill out with her classmates without all the pressure of being "top student" or whatever. On the other hand if Alex showed up, the two of them together was imminent disaster.
Why do my friends have to hate my friends?
Chimera queued up Grandpa Got Run Over by a Sleigh in the first slot, as requested, before he noticed another person shuffling into the room. "Shuffling" being as accurate a description as he could think of. He didn't recognize her, either, and she didn't say a word in greeting or otherwise before she sat down...then got up, scrambled to get something from the hallway, and returned to being curled up on the mattress as she had been before. Huh.
And Heidi was trying to hang up mistletoe. He gave her a side-eyed stare. "There's already going to be a bunch of couples here, do they need more excuses to snog?" He ignored her pleas for help. "Junko is gonna kill you."
While he wasn't paying attention the quiet girl had approached him, holding a book--was that what she'd dropped in the hallway?--with writing on it. He read it over. Oh. Huh. So she was deaf? Or mostly deaf, if she could hear but really poorly. Chimera's expression softened and he reached out slowly, like he was asking to have the book and pen for a moment. If she didn't reject him he wrote down a few quick sentences before returning it to her, in English.
"It's nice to meet you, too. I'm Chimera from 1-B. I'm glad you came tonight! I'll put on subtitles for the movies. Do you have any you want me to queue?"
A couple more faces piled in, one slightly more familiar than the other, and both with shades of red hair. The first he recognized as one of the Support Studies students he sometimes saw around Yojin during school hours. And she brought cookies! The second girl to come in--wow. he was surrounded by women again, was this the fur or the Christmas spirit at work--was another unfamiliar face who introduced herself as Rimma. Was that name Scandinavian? He didn't quite understand her greeting, but he smiled and waved her in all the same. "I've got the first one ready to go, and a bunch in line to play next. But I'm taking requests if you have any, RImma!"
Chimera gave Chikako another smile before he took a few steps over the sea of pillows and mattresses to reach the snack table and look at the sweets. "They look really good...Chise, right? The one who offered to bake for us in the chat?" He glanced over at the packets of coco powder and the cookies. They'd go really good with cocoa, but he'd have to go down to the kitchen to get some hot water and milk for them to make it...or risk going into the Support Studies room and swiping the drink maker that Serperior had bought.
...the chance of being seen by Mikhail now, when he was both out of uniform and wear essentially a t-shirt and pajama pants, was too horrifying to consider.
"Bah, if only Yojin wasn't on his way home, I could bother him into making a water heater or something," he grumbled, and despite the grumpy tone of his voice, his ears did droop a little. Chimera didn't want to sound like he wasn't happy that at least one of his friends had a loving, happy family to go home to for Christmas, but at the same time it meant his best friend wouldn't be here.
It kind of surprised him how sad that made him.
...
Chimera shook his head and put on a grin again. "Hey, I have that one on the list already, Chise. Gotta warn you, though, the stop-motion has aged weirdly." |

So it was Christmas Eve and some students were gonna organize a movie marathon or whatever.... oh joy. Cant she just be miserable alone? Why must these pests torment her more? Doesnt she have enough time dealing with them on a day to day basis during class? Must they haunt her more even during the holidays. She still remembered that evening. A student who sent coordinates on the school chat. A student who followed a Villain and called backup. "I did the right thing... I called for help, I tried to keep him here as long as I could and in the same way that a real Hero would've done it... I did my part, so tell me... tell me why...WHY COULDN'T YOU DO YOURS AND ARRIVE EARLIER?!"
"I came on time. You just didnt do your part" Junko thought to herself. She wasnt at fault. He was.
Junko then looked at the time and saw she was late. GREAT!!! JUST MOTHER FUCKING GREAT!!! EVERYTHING IS GOING BAD!!! She immediately stormed off and went to the place where the kids were gathering
She arrived soon enough "Junko is gonna kill you."
As if Chimera summoned her, she was there. Looking at these.....students. If looks could kill. These kids would be dead, revived and massacred again. "Greetings. Now if you excuse me, I will just go in this corner and make sure you're proper kids. Any misconduct, misbehaviour will have your heads rolling. Just watch and enjoy your movies" she said This aura she radiated was not of a happy, jolly and cheerfull person. But quite the opposite. Just anger and a pinch of sadness..... Well plently of depression and sadness, just masked my the hatred and anger aimed at these students
She went to the corner of the room and let these kids be. Hopefully none of the lil shits would have any human contact with her

It was strange, but Sean was feeling both happy and sad. The boy was sad because this was the first Christmas he would be spending away from home. For the first time in Sean's life, he wouldn't be with his mom for the holidays. On the other hand, he was happy because he would be spending the holidays at UA. He would get to hang out with his friends, which was undoubtedly going to be so much fun! There would be so much to do, and Sean was looking forward to it all.
Sean got word of a movie night that one of the students was hosting. Although Sean did not yet meet the student in question, now was as good a time as any to go fix that! So of course there was no way that the blue-haired boy would not show up. Sean decided to go in his pajamas, which was basically just a blue sweater, gray pants, and blue sandals.
Of course, Sean did not want to show up without bearing gifts of some kind. After all, it's the season of giving! Since Sean picked up more boxes of cookies from the janitor than he could realistically eat by himself, the boy decided to bring a few for everyone. There were a good variety of cookies, too! Chocolate chip, peanut butter, snicker doodles, sugar cookies, even some goldfish crackers! Of course, Sean also prepared for the possibility of people either not wanting to bring cookies, or already having brought cookies themselves. The boy also decided to bring a box of chocolate, a box of candy canes, and some marshmallows. Hey, too much is better than not enough, right?
Putting all of the snacks into several bags, Sean made his way to the room where everything would happen. Once he arrived, he greeted everyone there in his usual manner of a smile and wave of his hand. "Hello everyone!" Sean did not recognize most of these people. He did remember Chise from that time they met. It seemed like such a long time ago, but it was good to see her regardless. Then there was Heidi, who Sean noticed in the Capture the Flag exercise.
Noticing Chimera, Sean made his way to the dude. "Hey, I just wanted to thank you for setting this up. I really appreciate it man! You're awesome!" After shaking Chimera's hand, Sean handed him the bags. "Here you go, buddy! I come bearing gifts for everyone. I hope these will suffice."
Sean did not know what movie he would get to see first, and honestly, he did not care enough to ask. Regardless of what everyone was going to watch, Sean knew that he was going to enjoy it immensely. As long as everyone had a good time, then all was well.

Post by Saiko Tachibana on Dec 22, 2018 15:44:08 GMT -4
Christmas was one of the few things that Saiko had fondness of when regarding the winter season. Through all the cold, unfeeling and somber setting, there was a beacon of warmth and light, almost like a bonfire in a snowstorm. It was pleasant, and it about it the wonders known as Christmas specials and movies. Film that could only be described as the most junk of foods, with so much unrealistic sugar and love mixed in that it would likely kill the denizens of the underworld.
Still, Saiko couldn't help but admire what the holiday stood for, but she largely suspects that it is second nature at this point because of how commited her father got with everything. That included most holidays, and he would turn everything from a simple celebration to a spectical. He would even go to the extent of changing his vigilante uniform to look more suitable to whatever holiday was going at the time. It really was quite silly, especially for a man that normally was very dull and business centered.
This would be the first Christmas away from her doting mother and obsessive father, but they insisted that Saiko remained at UA to 'help build the Christmas spirit' next they meet or something. Saiko had accepted that her parents were far from normal, but neither was she, so...
A Christmas among others though was a weird experience. Even if it was among other quirkers and at a school which nobody would have more experience then the other, since it was everyones first Christmas at UA. It was probably the social interaction that made Saiko hesitate, but then something happened that made her brows raise.
UA was holding some type of movie night. The proposed event was one of the few things that could drag Saiko out of her den, and before she knew it, she had already started getting prepared. Surprisingly enough, Saiko found herself making her way towards the instructed location, dragging behind her a decently large cardboard box across the ground. A basic red band had been wrapped around one of it handles, and that band had also been tied around the palm of her hand so she could more easily pull it.
As the box dragged against the floor, Saiko took the time to reflect on what exactly she was doing. Was she really going through with this? If she thought about it as just going to a movie theater with her fellow students, she supposed it wasn't really all that bad. Though, by some Christmas miracle, this gathering had actually gotten her to look her best since coming to the school. She had just taken a shower prior to try and diminish her quirk possibly ruining other peoples experiences. She wore a hooded greed and red jacket with a snow patterned scarf wrapped around her neck and her aquatic colored hair spilling out of the jacket.
She also wore lime green colored pajama pants with what she thinks used to be tiny reindeer stamped on them, but they had become much to faded to be properly identified. Once Saiko had made it to the class, she stepped in to notice nothing had been started yet. At least properly, though several students had already arrived. Still, much to Saiko's surprise, she was actually early. Not something that happened especially often.
The box trailed behind her, Saiko pushed it towards where the rest of the snacks and foods were located. Opening it revealed eight two liters of soda, ranging from regular cola to diet, fruit sodas, and about every variety to suit multiple taste. Saiko was not really sure what else to bring, but she knew that, at the very least, she brought something she would drink. Plastic cups accompanied them, and were added to the mass of items collected at the gathering. She also brought a bag of dry pretzels, but those were for her. (Got to keep her sodium levels up somehow)
As Saiko set up her what she had brought with her, she and taken time to see who else had shown up. Nobody that she recognized was there, at least aside from Sean, which Saiko wouldn't really say she 'knew', aside from both sharing the same class in 1-A. There also appeared to be what Saiko assumed was a teacher or chaparonne at the very least. Though, based on the expression, maybe Ghost of Christmas future might be more apt...
Saiko looked over at the projection, the menu of Webflicks being scrolled through as the list of movies grew. Some old time classics, others not so well remade or worse, live action adaptations. Then there was the one action movie, which made Saiko smile.
"I hope there are some B tier movies on that list. Can't have a movie marathon without some cheese factor." Saiko commented towards the one holding the remote, though partially just expressing her thoughts. "Maybe something random like one of those Christmas horror movies? Like...Silent but Deadly Eve or Kringle? The cornier the better."

One student smiled and waved back when Rimma introduced herself, and she paused briefly to take in their appearance. Covered in fur, easily on the tall side, horns atop their head and red eyes. All in all, they might have been intimidating if it wasn't for the fur being fluffy, the horns being actually kind of cute as far as horns went, and the eyes being large and round and soft.
Not to mention the floppy ears, and the friendly demeanor.
The bundled up red-head gave a light nod at the response, not at all bothered that the first few movies had already been selected. "If I think of one, I'll let you know. I'm sure everyone has already suggested perfectly fun ones, though." She turned her attention away from the animal-like student, who stepped away to talk with the others present, and glancing over the others who had arrived before her once more she found herself wondering who had suggested what and what that might indicate about their taste in movies.
It was just an idle thought, though, and not one she would put any judgements on. The arrival of a rather... Dour, woman that was quick to threaten the group into behaving served as a sudden and not all that pleasant distraction from Rimma's musings. For a moment, her own expression twitched as a flash of irritation took her - eyebrows sharply angling downward, a frown on her thin lips and the slight puffing of her cheeks.
For a moment, she almost raised an objection to the woman's attitude. With a lot of effort, she instead forced herself to keep the peace and turned away from the unpleasant woman that promptly tucked herself into a corner. Thankfully, more arrivals would serve as a helpful distraction and make this easier on her.
"Hello." Rimma returned the greeting politely to the blue-clad lad, then letting her gaze drift to the bags he had in hand. The boy was quick to hand them off to the fluffy, animal-like boy who had organized everything. Raising an eyebrow curiously, she did wonder what it was that had been brought.
Speaking of bringing things, another arrival appeared and with them they brought a large box. The green-clad girl pushed it up to the table already filled with snacks, and for a moment Rimma let her other eyebrow raise in further curiosity. Then the box was opened, and the girl started pulling out liters of bottled soda.
Pushing her curiosity aside, she tucked her coat closer to herself once more before stepping over to help. There really wasn't that many, and she was sure the girl could handle the task just fine herself, but it was only right to lend a hand when able. Especially when, glancing over the selection as she helped place the hefty bottles out on the table, she might very well partake in all these drinks and snacks as well.
After a moment the girl spoke up, giving her thoughts on movies. Rimma's earlier musings about the tastes her fellow students might have coming back to mind, the bundled up red-head gave a lightly amused laugh of agreement. Although she hadn't been the one spoken to, she did offer her own endorsement of the idea... Mainly in an effort to make sure she was interacting and potentially making friends, rather than simply sit there quietly by herself. "Movies like that are best when everyone makes fun of them together, no?"

so put that ring away and cash it in Her face instantly lit up at his recognition, and she threw him an exaggerated wink. "The one and only." Snickers bubbled up from her chest at his self-congratulatory pomp. What a charmer. She was about to toss in a quip about his beastly strength when a noteworthy name fell past his furry lips. "Right, Rin's the super popular and unpopular one, isn't she?" Her name popped up in chat way more often than should be allowed. But if her presence could cause a rift in tonight's holiday cheer, she was more than welcome to attend. Heidi loved watching the worst in people. She leaned over his shoulder and clapped her hands as her selected title got bumped up to first run. Their alone time sadly cut short as a third wheel rolled in. And boy did she roll. Busting in without a word, collapsing in a heap, then groveling across the floor like a pathetic insect on autopilot, she was a sob story on two feet. Chimmy, like the good boy he was, played along with her sorry act. But Heidi wasn't interested. As the goat scribbled some likely diplomatic nonsense and before he could hand off the book to her, the girl swiftly turned heel and went off to spread holiday cheer. Teetering atop a rickety chair, she jabbed her tongue at Chimera. "We can't let the couples hog all the fun." Her eyes rolled high at the mention of a teacher she'd never met but didn't care to mind. And speak of the she-devil, there she was. Her crabby tone did the introductions for her without Heidi needing to spare a glance. "See Chimmy? Junko's gonna take good care of us," she chirped, her back still turned to the grunch. Then finally, a familiar voice. Whipping around, she leapt off her stage and threw her arms around the redhead. "Madame President, you made it!" She was surprisingly soft to hug. Stepping back but keeping her hands planted on Chise's shoulders, she looked at her classmate square in the eye. "We need your leadership. These mistletoe need hanging, and you're the only one who can save us." In one smooth motion, she swiped the bag off the chair and pushed them into Chise's possession. "Good luck, you're the best!"Dusting her hands off like she'd done nonzero work, the blunette then slid up to the next girl who entered, who was now busying herself with the soda. She slung a fully tattooed arm around her shoulders and pulled the girl in close. "Rimma, was it?" Lids half-closed and smirk on full display, Heidi left only a couple inches between them. "Nice to meet you."It'd been ages since she'd heard those two words uttered. An innocuous greeting in foreign tongue. So she spoke Russian. She might've even grown up there. The chances were low, but if she'd been sent by old pals, then sadly she'd have to go. Heidi scrutinized her captive's ever-changing expression, sniffing out any hints of recognition. They both stood in a crowd. With a teacher as well. She could be confident this chick wouldn't try anything funny, if her worst fears happened to be true. The air nipped at her skin a little more than usual. No wonder this gal bundled up. "What was that funny language back there?" A sickly sweet smile graced her lips. Play curious for now. Play dumb.

Post by Chise Ishihara on Dec 23, 2018 1:00:02 GMT -4
Just as she had gone over to help, the blue haired girl named Heidi wrapped her arms around Chise, embracing her in a warm and unexpected hug. Chise couldn't help her cheeks heat up at the hug out of the blue, not that she didn't accept it! Before she could hug back, the bluenette already pulled away from the hug, placing her hands on Chise's shoulders and explaining that they did indeed need some assistance. Heidi spoke, saying Chise was the only one that could assist them on this matter, causing the girl to freak out just a bit. "E-Ehh really? A-Are you sure? I-I'll do my best to help, H-Heidi-chan," she said, a bit flustered from the immediate shock of the situation. The support studies president was soon handed the box of mistletoe while Heidi went off to go mingle with the other students entering the room. Chise stared dumbfounded at the wall, trying to process if that indeed just happened. She did seem like the only one responsible enough to get the job done...alright then, the task had to be done!
Chise stood on one of the vacant AV room chairs, trying her best to reach to get the mistletoes up around the room. They were harmless decorations after all, right? It wasn't like they were meant to be taken seriously! Chise moved the chair around the room, hanging up mistletoe as new students came to join them for movie night, only recognizing Sean among the crowd. Tanaka-sensei also arrived, supposedly the chaperone for this event. Although she didn't know her personally, Chise had heard Tsutsuji-sensei mention her a few times in class. She didn't want to bother her, however, as she seemed to be in a bad mood. Soon enough, Chise was finished hanging the mistletoe up around the room, letting out a soft content sigh as she finished the job. Chise stepped down from her chair and set the empty bag down, deciding to grab some cookies and introduce herself to the new faces that entered the room.
"A-Ah my apologies. My name is Chise Ishihara, the president of the Support Studies class, it's nice to meet you all! I apologize for not talking once you all came in as I was h-helping decorate the room. Please feel free to eat some cookies I baked if y-you're hungry!" Chise said with a sheepish smile and a light blush on her cheeks. Chise took a few cookies for herself before heading back to her seat, hoping she hadn't just made a fool of herself in front of the people that were here.

Chikako Safaia was pleasantly surprised by the softer tone of the boy that spoke back, she was expecting a little more annoyance towards her then what was received though she was not all to disappointed that he did not meet her expectations. She let out a sigh, and began to write on the notebook to reply to his question. "Japanese is fine, for subtitles. Thank you for your consideration", she wrote and showed to the boy before she gave him a little forced smile and sat down.
She head back to where she was, a bit overwhelmed by the crowd of people, not sure how to process the events unfolding. Though, one thing she did noticed is that everyone had brought some type of food to it. 'Should I have brought something? I feel bad, I did not know.", she thought to herself. 'I hope that this does not make me look like a leech, I will make it up, i'll get food next time', she thought to herself slightly nodding to herself.
Another thing she noticed, and it spooked her quite a bit, was the grumpy teacher that walked in with hell and fiery. She was sure , though it was hard to say as her hearing was so bad, that her name might be junko? If it was like that, she was pretty sure she heard that name somewhere else though she wasn't sure why she knew the name. 'Maybe, later, I should converse to her...she does not seem like she is a good mood', she thought silently.
She did not want to stand out too much so she merely waved at everyone and sat down, just leaving her fake smile up. Greet everyone, that was her goal before she faded into the background to watch the shows.

Post by Rin Kurama on Dec 23, 2018 6:35:38 GMT -4
WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin truly wasn't sure if showing up for any kind of gathering like this was a correct move. Frankly, with all the rumors and drama that had been going on lately, the raven haired 1-A class president had had all the reasons in the world to stay holed up in the dorm room together with Jasmine, refusing to interact with the outside world for an extended period of time. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you looked at it, Chimera had been struggling a bit with the mattresses. Or so Rin had told herself, when she had seen his small posts in the chatroom. As no one else had offered him a hand, Rin had. It simply wasn't fair to her, that someone did all the work so a collective could enjoy. Having helped him however, it'd seem really awkward for her to not show up for the movie night itself. Slightly dejected at the prospect, Rin figured that she could probably curl up in a corner on a mattress, wrapping a blanket around herself and watch movies without interacting much with everyone else. At least that had been the plan within the girl's mind, as she had made her way towards the meetup place.Rin was wearing a simple white pajamas. There wasn't anything fancy over her, nothing which stood out. In fact, there wasn't ever anything about Rin which really stood out, which made it all the more awkward that people had gotten to know her name. Drama, issues, circumstances. It very often pointed in her direction, at no fault of her own. A simple girl that had wanted a simple school life. The higher powers that may or may not be had decreed something entirely different for her. Stepping in, there was an exceedingly faint smile on her lips, as she stepped over to Chimera, following up by greeting Chise. Afterwards, she'd quietly go around greeting all the others, not quite sure who most of these individuals were. "Chimera-san, Chise-chan." To the remaining forces, Rin offered a very simple standard greeting and a soft, unassuming smile. "Greetings, I am Rin Kurama, class president of 1-A. Pleasure to meet you." Hopefully this little round of formalities would end without too much attention coming her way. Rin really was not in her element around this many people. Especially not when it was a whole band of strangers...

836 WC Whooooo! | Speak of the devil and they shall appear; as soon as Chimera had said her name, the fabled Junko Tanaka came in with a stare as cold as the snow outside. Chimera balked for a second. Yet...not for the reasons one might suspect, given her entrance. Blue Agate was one of the few mutation Quirk heroes in the world right now. Sure, her appearance was not as dramatically wild as Army of One, Yellow Jacket, or even Serperior, but she was still different. Just like him. She was an inspiration. The horror stories that Alex had told him, though, made it hard for him to want to approach her and talk about that. Maybe she'd wind down a little over the course of the evening.
And if not. Uh. An anonymous letter at some point could totally work.
More and more students started coming, more new ones than familiar ones. He grinned at Sean as he came up and thanked him for getting the event together. That flustered him a little. It wasn't like he had planned this all along, it was a spur-of-the-moment type deal that just happened to be working out really well. If that energy kept up through the whole evening he would consider it a success. "Wow, um, you're welcome! And oh boy, we're gonna have a lot of food. Not complaining! I could eat a whole tin of these by myself."
Somebody suggested horror movies whilst unpacking a whole box of sodas and soft-drinks. Chimera wasn't a fan of horror, but then again, he only really knew the "beauty" of American slasher films. Since things seemed settled by the snack table he walked his way back to where his laptop and the projector were set up, wiggling the mouse to get out of the screen-saver it had been on, and checking for the films Saiko had brought up. Hm. They didn't look too bad. But some people here might just not like horror films for Christmas.
Said the guy putting Die Hard on the list.
"Corny horror, coming up. Uh, though if anyone has an objection there, speak now before it goes on the queue." He clicked away adding film after film to the playlist, and just as he'd added both Saiko and Chise's requests, he heard a person say his name in a very formal tone. That could only be... "Rin!" Chimera let out a mock gasp--which was still somewhat genuine--and came around the projector one more time to clap a fuzzy hand on her shoulder. "You made it! And what's this 'Chimera-san' nonsense, I thought I had a nickname."
While he had hoped that Rin would show up to let her hair down, metaphorically speaking, he'd been so worried she wouldn't show. Between all the "fun" that had been circling her as of late and the pressure of being 1-A's president and top student at U.A, he would absolutely understand if she hid out with her girlfriend for all of Christmas Eve. There was also the possibility of Alex coming tonight. He didn't have any idea why those two were always fighting--more Alex than Rin, to be fair--but playing referee to that shit all night wouldn't be fun. Then again, that was what Junko was here for, right?
And if anyone was going to reign Alex in, it was Junko.
Ah, but with the amount of students here, it only felt right that the festivities start now so those who were just here for the movies weren't left sitting around awkwardly. Back to his laptop he went and he flicked up to the top of the queue, made sure it was what Heidi had suggested, followed by Chise's, some of the classics, Die Hard, a ton of the cheesy ones, Saiko's bad horror film, and on and on and on. All of the with subtitles. With it ready to go he flicked the projector on, filling the screen before them with light, save for a few shadows of people still mulling around in the front of the room finding spots to sit. The snack table was far enough to the side that those there weren't in the way.
Chimera used his theater voice to project over the crowd: "Alright! I'm starting the movies, so people up-front either scoot to the side or find somewhere to sit!" He gave a glance up at the mistletoe and sighed, then went over to where the light switch was and flicked it off, plunging the room into the sort of darkness that only came when the sun had set four hours ago, save for the projected screen. With one last click of the enter key the white screen turned into the opening credits--and horrible, cheesy song--of Grandpa Got Run-Over By a Sleigh. Chimera then flopped belly-first onto one of the larger free pillows near the back of the room. "Let's get this sleigh-wreck started!"
[One more round here before I close this thread, and other folks can start their little group ones as you wish! HAVE FUN!!] |
