 at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She had been teasing, but he answered! She didn't know much what to say and looked away with a shy smile on her face, ridiculous thoughts went through Hana her mind, she was again stuck in this fairy tale that wasn't really there, he was just good with words. Strangely saying from a writer's perspective but she did not care, she just had to be careful before she caught something that would only hurt her and that would definitely be a shame. She had him obviously on speed-dial that did not mean that she actually used it because considering consequences well and timing and everything, mostly she managed fine as she had done before. She was a survivor. She suggested a resort and frowned when G asked about the separate things but finally, she understood what he meant, he had the wrong idea in mind, "No those are hot springs, silly. Resorts have all sorts of things, I believe that basically, only the massage rooms are separate but that's only because of the rooms. No, you could see a resort as a hotel with a lot of facilities, like a swimming pool or tennis court and many more things simply to relax. We could take a short weekend there? I mean I am off on Sundays and if I fake an article, I would have some extra time." and the good thing would be that a resort was sort of a closed facility, they would not have to get out and no one of her workers would come to such a thing for only an afternoon, it did not matter if it was in or near Tokyo. She decided to still suggest something else like an amusement park but that wasn't something she wanted to go and thank god he caught that. She told herself it would be ridiculous to blush because he said he wanted to go with her, obviously, they spoke about it and that was the conclusion of the conversation about, one and one is still two Hana. She shook her head mildly, "Yeah, I bet it can be a lot of fun but it doesn't sound like me." to be fair, but thank god he was okay with the idea of trying out a resort. AS she was worried about his thoughts over his own well-doing and well being, she couldn't help but take his hand and hold it, as her brain had calmed down a little, she was not so bothered or embarrassed about how he rubbed her hand softly, she did look at it shortly before turning her ice blue eyes back to him, "An option?" She thought she had suggested herself just to give him someone to talk to, she had no idea what he meant with an option, for what? What did they talk about? She caught herself in thoughts, there was something that popped up, their previous subject of the conversation, basically who was doing better and she had said she was getting a tad lonely. Resorts, hot springs. What was the difference between those. He listened to Hana and after she explained he spoke
"I'd love that. You and me together. A weekend. We get to get that time we lost. Im sure it'll be fun" G spoke. He was smiling. The idea of a resort trip with Hana excited him. He really wanted to share his first resort experience with Hana. He trusted her. He had feelings for her. He always did but perhaps with time he buried them as life took a different turn for G. Last year those feelings emerged on his elevator ride home. But now, he felt his old childhood feelings were emerging once more.
Sure G said to himself that he wouldnt bother getting a girlfriend, it was just painful, but somehow he gave in to that feeling he had. They both decided they'd rather go to a resort. Amusement park seemed to mundane for the both of them. They werent kids. Besides, G was at the festival. And... he was on a date there once. He didnt want a repeat of a failed relationship. He wanted something new, fresh and exciting.
They were both holding hands now. And Hanako asked curiously "An option?", G grinned and said "Yea! You said you was lonely. And you dont want a guy who's just with you for your money. Then who better then yours truly?" he teased "You already have me on speed dial~"

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She thought about it, braiding her hair automatically again now lost in thoughts, she should buy a new outfit, like bikini or bathrobe or both, how did that work? She would figure it out once she would figure out which resort, "Yes, a weekend, that sounds great. You compare a weekend to what, twelve years?" She laughed in a fun way, "I look forward to it." Perhaps also about the idea of the days of which would be great. She was thinking about so many things at once, the idea that she would have nothing to worry about but just if she looked good enough to be presented to the world, was a wonderful idea, who knows, perhaps she would leave her make-up home. Nah who was she kidding, if G was there she would have to still look good anyway. She was still holding his hand tenderly as she wanted to make sure that he was alright about the idea, it would be a shame if he wasn't as they spoke about him and she suggested help and then she was taken by surprise by a word that she did not understand. His grin was literally making her head fuzzy, she did not understand why it had so much effect on her, she thought she was past the time of having that idea of this fairy tale, this childhood fantasy, she stared at him, it was so unreal that they were holding hands. She was having what she called the dry-fish syndrome, gasping for air to say something, forming silent o's and words that made no sound as she tried to comprehend words and sentences. Because no words were formed, she started to laugh and the giggle turned into a loud laugh, "That's very sweet but you don't have to protect me." He must be joking right? In this whole year, where she considered it a fantasy, he had never shown interest in her, he had other girlfriends right? So where did this come from? Why, why did it hurt that it was just a joke. "Feels like 19, but hey who's counting. We gotta start somewhere. Resort sounds good. Besides, with me, it'll be awesome. I'll make it up to ya" he said, getting mildly excited to go to a resort with Hana. Hopefully he gave her an idea on what to do and how to get off of work. One false report wont hurt anyone. Besides, the news does that all the time, right?
He then just realized that they were still holding hands, G looked at her and wondered how that didnt bother her. It didnt bother him, but usually women wanted their hand back by now. Looking at Hana, she was acting strange but cute. He moved his chair closer to her, so he wouldnt sit across the table but beside her. If he could, he'd sit her on his lap even, she was just so cute now. Hana suddenly giggled and said that he doesnt have to protect her. Which once again sent him confusing mixed messages. He wasnt sure if he should tell her now or not. Hana either thought he was kidding or she was playing him and didnt actually need a man. G didnt really say anything as he hadnt come to a conclusion yet as to what Hana meant by that. Instead he just held her hand again and looked at her and her eyes

She said with a wink as she wasn't exactly sure how many years it had been, Hanako also indeed did not feel like counting it because it did not matter at all. She shook her head but there was a smile on her face, "I will remind you of that." Although she had no idea what he meant with making it up to her, it can't be something bad that was the very least but what did he have in mind. She noticed too late that she was still holding his hand and she realized that she had no idea what for, it just felt very normal and as she noticed he looked at it, she wanted to let go. It must be weird right? She just didn't do that yet, that would make things worse and she couldn't stop smiling yet and she felt her red cheeks burn very much on her face. If she wasn't aware of it, she might have thought she would have a fever. But it felt rather different. Her big blue eyes followed his every move right now as he scooted closer to her without even getting his hand loose and she was surprised about the option talk. Right, so it was probably something as a joke and she said so as she couldn't help but giggle. However, something felt strange and off, she did not know what to think about it but it felt as if she had given the wrong answer about this question or option and that it hurt her. She doubted she thought so. "Should-should we order a drink?" She asked as she finally decided to say something completely different, she was not sure yet what to do and let go of her hand, so one and she stared at their entwined fingers, what would she do to just get it back, she had already said something and laughed at his joke but why was it such strange, altogether, last year was strange as well but after that, nothing had shown any possibility of an idea of love or something the like. Age, it was something women didnt want to talk about. Hanako, like others, didnt wanna feel old. G didnt really care about age, not much. He'd say how long they've been apart, but his memory and math are poo poo, so he just made a guess that its 19 years of absence. G couldnt really figure out Hana and what's up with her. He thought if she probably misinterpreted him as a joker. Granted he was a bit of a joker as a kid. But now as an adult. Romancing a woman was no joke.
Hana asked if they should order something. Though she sounded a bit nervous for some reason. G in actuality, while talking to Hana was waiting for a waiter to approach them so they could order. He was pretty miffed that no one approached them. But Hana and her lovely hand and eyes just calmed him.
"Truth be told, I was waiting for a waiter to come and serve us. But I guess no one appeared" he said a bit disappointed. He then noticed she let go of his hand. He mentally cursed himself at how he didnt do that first. Surely she was freaked out by his action. But he cant help it, he tends to be touchy and feely with a woman he likes.
This time though, he changed the subject "Try calling a waiter. I think I intimidate people here"

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She did not understand herself why no waiter had shown up yet, the thing was that they were sitting here for quite a while already and yet, nothing. It wasn't so difficult to do your job and let people order right? Now that she finally took her eyes of Gil to get something or someone actually to their table she noticed his words and nodded. "They must be afraid of you." She said, sticking out her tongue to him shortly to show she was just kidding and she asked by lifting up her hand, a good excuse to let go and wave to a girl close by that seemed to be working here. Finally, they could order, talk a bit more about the things in life and what happened over a year, she could tell him some of her adventures and so on. When she finished her drink, it was better to go as she was not entirely sure what has been going on and how to think or feel about it. She thanked him very much for coming over at the most random time at the day and that she would text him if she bumped into a good job for him. As she stood up to say goodbye, she wanted to kiss him on the cheek to say so, but it went wrong and she accidentally kissed him, which made her cheeks bright red and say a hasty goodbye before walking off as fast as her clumsy heels could take her to go back to work.
