at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She leaned against the table, directly behind the couch and looked at Gil, she could not help but keep this mischief smile on her face because of well it just was stick on her face for now. "Great," was all she could say at first, crossing her arms in front of her chest. She pointed to the hallway that was immediately next to the lift, "it is there, the first door to the left." She said and she turned to look at her kitchen, before she followed but instead of getting into the bathroom too, she quickly got in her own room to refresh herself a bit, far too quick, she put on another dress as well and fixed her hair a bit better with some pins, so it would be easier for cooking. "So anything you like for lunch? No weird allergies after thirteen years or so?" Was it her that brought the lunches for some days or was that only for Nanami and they ate it as well. She could not remember, she did not like the idea anyway. She bit her lip as she looked in the fridge, she could make a salad. There were some baguettes that she had bought on the market. She needed to come up with something and decided to take not too much. She flipped on the oven, grabbed some random ingredients that would fit in a salad and went to cut and mix them into a bowl. She wanted to know so much, what happened in these years apart and yet she believed he would not like to talk about it. So what would she ask, she was curious to the child as well. Where to start, she wanted to know so much and she wondered if she could... no, she should not use it for anything, it was a friendship that she should keep, that she should and wanted. If he would too, she would figure out that it could be nice to have at least one friend, instead of the fake ones that she had at her new work. MADE BY VEL OF GS

"Thanks" G said and thus went to the restroom to wash himself from their shared experience. After he washed up, he heard Hana ask what would he like for lunch or if he had weird allergies or crap. G walked over to her "I dont have allergies. But you can make maybe something healthy. And do you mind if I ask you a favour. Like... can you make enough for an extra plate or something... like a take away lunch. I wanna give something nice to my kid. Healthy. She needs it"
The only one on his mind was Miku. Sure, he had a magical time with Hana. And he'd really like to stay, but he cant. He was sure school was gonna be almost done. Maybe he can eat lunch, pack something for Miku and go pick her up. G was not a cook. They ate unhealthy food, fast food, sweets. Not good things. He thought he could use some healthy veggies and give em to her, force feed her if he had to.
G noticed Hana was silent so he asked "Hey. You ok? Did I say something wrong? I mean... you dont need to do the extra plate thing if you dont want to..?"

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She lifted up her right eyebrow in a questioned look, simply looking at the inside of the fridge but healthy? She surely did not see him as a healthy, that's not true, she corrected herself. He must eat something healthy else, well you knew the consequences of not healthy food. She had to eat well enough else her beautiful body would have the consequences of the issue. Hanako decided to make the salad already before she got to understand the second part of the question, take away lunch? For his kid? She frowned again but in the end, simply shrugged and continued to make the salad and fix the little pieces of bread that she cut in slices. She went through her stuff, as not everything was in the cupboard yet but there must be a little box somewhere that she could use to give Gil something for his kid. She was so lost in her mind that she had not really noticed that he had come back into the living room. She almost dropped the empty package when she heard him speak to her and looked up, after catching it just before it dropped to the ground. "No, no I was just thinking." She shook her head and took some cutlery to put a bit of the salad in the box and found a little clean plastic bag where she could put two or three slices of bread into. "So, I was just thinking how I could ask you all these thousands of questions that I have in mind without being offensive but, the most popping one right now is, are you okay with taking care of your kid? Like do you need me to ehm..." She couldn't simply force herself into his life, "Make healthy food from time to time?" How else to say it, she did not want to simply give money, but she could make food, they could eat here, she could bring it to him if he did not want to mix their old life with this and what was this even? It would be nice to see him regularly again, not every day but perhaps once in a while and she could just help... wait, wow, since when did she care? She used to be so proud of herself for not caring.

Uh oh, almost another accident happened. Luckily she managed to prevent it and caught herself and stuff. Hana spoke how she finally has him and could ask anything her heart desires. She then asked one question, was he ok taking care of a kid. And then a surprising question, does he need her to make healthy food from time to time.
He took his time a bit and answered her honestly and truthfully "Well, I told you. I'm an ex Villain. And as you know, I ran away from home as a kid. I dont have a house... well, not one like this. I like in the outskirts of Tokyo in this old abandoned house. It's more of a hideout than a house. Its a dirty mess, has no power and all that jazz. And well... I dunno how to cook, we go and get fast food or takeout or I just give her junk food. I wanna treat her good and get her something thats good for her every once a while. It's been hard honestly"
G realized he was getting side tracked and decided to actually answer her question "Uhh... ignore that. Well... umm... Hana, if you want you can do that. I mean I'd greatly appreciate it. But I dont wanna use you that much. I'm ok with this one meal. And well... if you want you can do it once in a while...I guess. It all depends on you"

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She felt like she jumped into too far, he didn't say anything. She felt like she had been stupid, "I mean, I..." But he did answer and she quickly kept her mouth shut and looked at Gil while she bit her lip. She should not make such stupid comments, it was not her problem, it was not her case. But she had no other friends if she could share a tiny bit of her happiness, what would be the problem right? She crossed her arms in front of her chest and leaned against the kitchen cupboards. She nodded because he did tell her that and she did decide not to ask about that. She nodded again when he mentioned he ran away from home as a kid, she could yell about that again but that was no use and it would bring them back to point one... not that point one wasn't good for something but, going on. She wasn't the best motherly figure, actually, she was not good at that at all, she did not mind children but she had no intention of getting her own, like ever. However, Hanako understood that raising a child in an old abandoned house could not be any good, she could not offer her own house and it would be too much to actually give money for a home, that would be ridiculous. She still did not let herself interrupt him and she only looked and kept her ears open also for the idea of the baguettes being done. She shook her head when he was done talking. "It is not using when I offer." She said with a smile as she tried to just be that friendly person that she could be. "I don't mind, I can't eat so much food that I buy and rather this than throwing it away. I would like to meet your kid at some point, I mean, I feel like I am pushing my luck right now." She decided to say, twirling a straw of blonde hair around her finger, "I just, want to be your friend again." She even surprised herself how good this worked out in just talking, her words were easier, but perhaps that was the easy idea of being a writer in general. Words were her thing. MADE BY VEL OF GS

"It is not using when I offer." He begged to differ but didnt wanna scuffle over a minor thing. Whether someone offers help or not. Taking help without offering anything in return is Using, Begging, Mooching off.
Hana spoke how she has plenty of food and cant eat it all by herself. And instead of throwing it away, at least she can be somewhat useful now. He was still thinking if he should do it. But the ending convince him. She wants to be his friend. That got him good. He got used to being alone and on edge that he forgot how to relax. He would take the help "Very well, I accept" but that didnt mean he wouldnt do anything in return "I'll pay you back. You're a reporter now, right? I'll try and get you a good story" The best way to pay back a reporter, give them a hella good scoop. Although he wondered if he should do it now or another time. He imagined talking to an ex Villain was surely good for her. Having insight on a criminal mind. Or maybe he should do that later as a Vigilante who already stopped Villains.
Wait, speaking of which. He didnt get to show off his Quirk as well? Hana hasnt met Goliath yet. Should he do that?

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It felt like she could breathe again without a problem. She had used her words carefully and cautiously and it worked fine and with that, she had made a good suggestion of the whole idea and he accepted. Which made her smile again, "That's great." She wanted to turn around to get their plates so they could eat when she turned her heel quickly again. "That..." She gave him a wry smile because she did not dare to say what would be the problem, "That be great." She could not admit that she had a column that wrote bad things about people, she was accepted for that and she could not just write nice things, she decided to quickly turn around and take the plates, putting them on the table. She grabbed the cutlery and the rest and took another bag, a tote one to put the little things she put together for his kid in it. She placed it next to his side on the table. "You want anything to drink?" She filled her own glass with water. There sure was some champagne left but it was better to not use it again, probably. She wanted to pick up the glasses and clean it but she should just relax, she had all the time to do that later. "Oh perhaps I should write down my phone number for you, or yours, so I can let you know if I have leftovers?" How to make this conversation go smooth, she felt like she pushed herself too far into his life and she did not want that. She went to sit down and made a gesture to invite him to sit down too and have lunch with her. "So what's the name of your kid, if you don't mind me asking?" He had already said it was a girl or well he had said her so that was what Hanako made of it, she was wondering so much about his life situation, how difficult would it be to get a job, she guessed that was the reason why he did not live in a regular house and had not much money to buy food, healthy food was ridiculously expensive compared to the shitty fast food. "I am sorry, blame the thousand questions." MADE BY VEL OF GS

She asked if he wanted to drink "Um. Yea, sure. Anything is good. Well... not water. Water isnt good with food." he said, and then soon the subject switched to phone numbers which made him smile "Sure, we can both exchange numbers" he said and already started thinking of what ringtone he could use for her, a ringtone theme.
He soon sat at the table as soon as she did so herself. Hana then asked for his kids name "Her name is Miku" he said softly and fondly. She was the light in his life, the one who put him on the right path. He did terrible things and now he needed to correct that. G was determined to get good. But it was honestly hard. Whenever he'd fight a Villain, he'd lose himself and just go wild. He was still unhinged and overly violent. A monster.
He snapped out of his thoughts when Hana apologized to him "No... Dont be sorry. You deserve it. Ask away. I'll try and answer your questions" he told her. He ran away from home and left her. Left her in the dark. Left her alone. She deserved answers and thats what he intended to give her. Its the least he can do

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She stood up again to get a drink for Gil, she had not much in the house, just a simple regular epsi, only in cans but who cared. She put it on the table and went to sit down again, "This is okay?" She said and rolled her eyes and thought about the phone that was in her bag, next to the couch. "I can give you mine if you can text me I have yours." She took her own glass of water and ignored his own comment that water wasn't good with food as she did not agree. She also did not find it that bad of a comment to actually make a debate out of it. She would say her phone number in case he agreed or they would cross that bridge a little later. She would hold her fork and play a bit with her food and smiled, "That's a nice name." She said, noticing the different demeanour so suddenly and found it all too cute. She apologized though for the many questions that she had and she did not know where else to start at this point. But she could ask questions and she gave a short chuckle and took a bite of her salad as she thought, "Hmm." Where would she start? "So what happened, you ran away from home? I assumed you lived on the streets as you just told me that, but stealing for survival doesn't make you that bad of a criminal?" So how did that work, was her silent question, she let him answer it in the way he wanted and just decided to let it all go, it was her first question, her next question would be something regarding the future, "So what's the plan, I mean I do not even know how this vigilante job works." She took a bit of the little baguettes to combine with her salad. MADE BY VEL OF GS

She gave him a drink "Thank you" he said, and listened to her speak. She said that she could give him hers, and if he texts her back, she'll have his number saved. G nodded and agreed, he took out his phone and quickly wrote her number as she said it. He quickly saved it and put his phone away. Deciding to give her her ringtone some other time.
G started eating. Once they were on the Miku topic, Hana commented that it is a nice name. G just nodded. It wasnt his kid really nor did he name her. He just took her in. But he agreed, the name was nice.
She decided to take him up on the offer and asked away. What happened when he ran away. He stopped eating and explained "Yea... I lived on the streets and I stole to survive. I was a small time Villain as a kid. Pickpocketing and vandalism and mostly harmless crimes. Then I got caught, got put in juvie. And well... you know me Hana, Im kinda easy to influence. Put me in a place full of lil'shits and bad influence; and I become more wild. And thats what happned. Juvie didnt stop me from commiting crimes. It just made me do more. Found an abandoned house and made it my hideout. Pickpocketing became mugging and everything I did escalated more. I started assaulting people too. Anyone who reminded me of... you know who" You know who was his father. He had more to tell, but refrained from speaking. He was not proud of his villanous deeds
Luckily she didnt harp on that and asked him another question "Vigilantism isnt a job. I dont get money out of it. And there's no way anyone would take an ex convict. So... I survive... any way I can, for her. I'll raise her. She's gonna finish middle school soon. This is her last year. She needs to sign up to a high school. She wants to be like me.. a 'hero'. I cant let her be a Vigilante. In the goverments eyes, thats still a criminal." he spoke and ate a bit before continuing "I heard the goverment is opening this new Hero School. And whats better its a high school. Im training her how to use her Quirk, and I'll teach her what it means to be a Hero. I'll help her get accepted to that school so she can become a real goverment approved hero." he stopped eating when he realized one thing "But... I have to then tell her that I was a Villain. I have to. She should hear it from me, rather then some hero"
He fell silent and continued to eat, realizing that he is in a dilemma and at a risk of losing his adopted daughter, his family

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away There were still many questions forming in her mind but all were overlapping each other that she did not have enough time to really consider it or to ask it. She wanted to first know what he had done, and how you got to the idea of a vigilante, is it something for making up to the world, to yourself for the idiot things that you had done because else she would not understand. She took another bite while looking at Gil and hearing his first short words about the whole idea what happened. It was short but it was a good summary for her to understand more or less what happened. She played with her food, moving the little bits of tomato from left to right on her plate. She knew she had the same although you could perhaps not call it the same as it was something that was triggered by everything Nanami got, the influence came from her own parents who rather had their second child than their first and the first noticed. She took a deep breath, even if it was so long ago, some things did not change. And yet for her so many things changed, she was an orphan, she had her aunt and uncle that raised her, she didn't end up in the system but still, it was a strange thing to consider. "You are free now, for real. I bet things will pick up sooner or later." She said as she had no other idea what she should say, she simply took a bite to not be able to say something very soon. So she asked him a second question to not dwell on the first thing and she leaned on her left hand and stared at Gil. She made a tutting sound, no money from it, easy for the government. "But do you have to inform people that you are an ex-convict? What is it to them if you want to work at a bar?" She couldn't help but say, man sometimes Hanako her life was so easy. She nodded when he continued about the hero school, "Yes, we are writing a report about it, although I think it will be skipped, the school isn't entirely happy about too much magazine news and yet they want to invite people with all sorts of interesting quirks." She rolled her eyes, "Shame for people like me." She couldn't help but mumble, not that she was meant to be a hero, she would, after all, be too clumsy. Even Miku must have a great quirk, "You better tell her soon, you never know what happens, especially now the media is trying to figure out as many quirks as possible with the school coming and no possibility to write about it. Gil, if she is your daughter, how will she hate you? After everything you do now and probably have done, would she not be glad that you changed? It is obviously in the past." Right? She felt like she was a goody-guru, she could one day start a column for that. Ask Hanako, ha! MADE BY VEL OF GS

G just nodded when hanako said that he was a free man. But when she asked him if he has to tell someone if he's an ex convict he shrugged "I dunno. I didnt exactly go to school. I dunno a lot of stuff. I just look online and see. I mean do people still ask Résumés? Did your company or whatever ask you your résumé? Im sure people do background checks? Y'know?" G said
The subject moved to UA and G listened how Hana told him that they are writting a report on it but it might be skipped because some school stuff.
But things became uncomftarble real soon when she asked him, why would his daughter hate him. Now he needed to pul off THAT bandaid "I was a Villain Hana....." he was real uneasy talking about this "By the time I was caught and put in jail. My record was already pickpocketing, mugging, vandalism, battery, assault. And just as in juvie. Things got worse. Being thrown in jail and kept there like a caged animal. I just became worse. And you know whats a step beyond assaulting people" he didnt want to say the K word. He just spoke to her
"I did what I did. And unbeknownst to me Goliath, my Quirk, my Spirit Animal was influenced by my bloodlust and became a monster with me. He was deadly. He ate people.... And one time.. I wanted to try burglary get a lot of loot from a house. But as I was a newbie when it came to burglary. I didnt quite get all the right info when I broke in. People were at home. It was all hazy and it happened fast. But I think they tried to stop me. I of course used my Quirk to defend myelf. But I guess that one day, Goliath hit a boiling point. He was a monster, uncontrollable one, I had no control of my own Quirk. He killed those people that I didnt wanna kill. I just wanted to rob. And whats worse, Goliath turned to me and tried to even attack me. I was almost killed and attacked by my own Quirk, but the last second I dismissed him. And lo and behold someone came home and appeared to the scene of the crime. A young... blonde.. 10 year old girl. I think you know where this is going"
G didnt want to tell her that its Miku, he wanted Hana to come to her own conclusion. He couldnt make himself say it. He just got up from the table and took a few steps from Hana and turned him back to her, he couldnt look at her "I swear... It was an accident! I didnt wanna do it!!" He didnt wanna show that he was upset

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She pouted a bit, tapped her chin as she thought about it, "They actually found my blog online and asked me what I did, I just finished college a few weeks before that. Aunty did not agree for me to start journalism. I bet they checked me out before, but that's still different." It was a ridiculous ruling if someone did want to change, why did no one help out? It would be ridiculous if you were not entirely agreeing on the idea of bringing people back in society, what would they do? Would they not go back to the problem. She shook her head a little, "I still believe there will be something at some point." She gave a wry smile, she did not want to say that she would help, she could keep an eye out but she could not change things because she wanted to. Perhaps she should make a column post about it at some point. Who knew, that depends on what they would all let her write.
She talked, having no idea what happened she thought it was just being the best way of saying things. She tilted her head a little, because the way he started talking made it uneasy, awkward as if she said something dumb. She wanted to say yes but instead of really talking she decided not to say anything and she bit her lip again, taking a bit of the salad, holding the now empty spoon in her right hand. She froze, now she wasn't miss perfect, she was after all the story writer of mean comments in a magazine and she got paid for it. She did not say anything yet though, she did not plan to, but her eyes turned big and her fork fell out of her hand and made the loud clattering noise as it landed on her plate and dropped in the end on the floor. She did not move though but stared at Gil, no. She had never expected to, well, perhaps she had not really ruled out the idea of m, she swallowed. But that girl was, no way.
She pushed her chair back and grabbed the fork clumsy and placed it back on the table. As she noticed he did not want to look at her, she simply decided what she would have done when they were children, what she did for Nanami when she was afraid, she simply gave a hug, this time awkwardly from the back and her arms were too short to reach each other again but the idea was the same. "I understand but as you said, she can still better hear it from you." She whispered softly, how did you fix yourself from something like that, how could you... She could not form words. "You are not that man anymore." Which was high and mighty to say from someone who just saw him for the first time in years, a couple of hours ago, even maybe one and slept with him after their meeting after ages and well... but she simply knew.

She spoke about her online blog, her aunty. He listened, but did not speak
After G explained that people did background checks, Hanako said that he could still find something. G doubted it. "I appreciate your positivity and optimism, Hana" he said
Later after him spilling the truth to Hana and after leaving the table. He didnt expect it, but he got a hug. G listened to his friend speak or ore accurately whisper. G just nodded in agreement, Miku needed the truth. He had to put her first. Hana then said something else "You are not that man anymore." No one told him that. It felt nice, but too unbelievable. Even he isnt convinced that he's changed. He was still a monster. G didnt speak, instead he turned around to face Hana, and hugged her "I missed you" he quietly said to her and started apologizing to her for leaving her. He tried his best to keep his hands from trembling as he imaged what would have happened if he stayed home and didnt run away. His parents were Quirk haters, they were Quirkless, they didnt like G who had a Quirk. He wondered what would have happened between him and Hana if he stayed and wondered if he missed out. Was the risk worth it?

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She felt too high and mighty in her speech. She did not mind that at work, she did not mind that in her columns, she did not mind it in the slightest but at this point, it was mostly that she was speaking about someone's life, someone she did not want to ruin and it felt so horrible to say something like that. The idea that she believed, that she was that amazing, and understood someone immediately to a point, it was not only ridiculous, it felt mean. It felt as if she could not take the problem seriously, even if that wasn't the truth. But hear her talk, the girl who did not cry for the loss of her own parents and sister, felt heartbroken about the idea that he would have to tell the girl, he considered a daughter, about what he had done. It was perhaps that she felt more heartbroken about that idea because she could see the love, could you call it that? the caring, the need for this thing to still exist, while her parents... her parents rather had only Nanami. She let go a bit because Gil turned around and she looked up, not wearing heels made her so much smaller already. There must be at least twenty-centimetre difference in height, considering most of her heels were like eight to ten and it seemed double would not matter at all. She looked up though and gave a wry smile as she had missed him too, but found it difficult to say that, well how to avoid such words but still saying it, "Me too." She answered softly as well, so many things, wandering in her mind, but that did not matter, they changed, too much to actually be the kids from so many years ago and yet at this point, she yearned for that. She had missed someone that understood and even if there was nothing to understand on her side of the story at this point, she knew that he would. She would be able to tell him and he would understand, but not now, it did not matter now. "Yet here we are again." She couldn't help but say, she wasn't actually a believer of faith or whatsoever, she believed in hard working and striving to reach a goal, but who knows, perhaps there was a little bit of faith mixed into their past and future.
