The Vermillion Bird stares in awe at her boss- It was that easy? Just a few words and they were free to go? But then, it was the boss, after all! So it should be as expected! Her admiration for the large man only increasing with each success, the former slave would be liable to kneel before him... If it weren't such an inopportune time. However, for his part, Wang Ba's brows furrowed. Just like his partner thought, it was too easy- And unlike her, he wasn't so simple-minded as to attribute that to his personal charisma. Had he been seen through? How deeply? And it wasn't the man on this side of the phone, that was for sure... He started to grow curious about the man on the other end of the line.
But that could be taken care of in time. For now, the priority was getting out of the blockade... And between the highly organized police and the mindless rabble, the former was where he placed his bets. [Que'er, come along] He tossed at his ward in his native tongue- As much because it was more comfortable for the both of them, as it was to test whether any of their escorts knew Chinese. Being able to communicate secretly would be a major advantage in the scheme to come- Not that he counted on it. His luck had never been that good. He grinned. As expected, the uncertainty was what made life a game worth playing.
To the officer, he would add, "Of course. I would expect nothing less. In the interest of full disclosure, my quirk is... As you have seen. I can create barriers- At a cost, naturally." He raised his hand, the sapphire gemstone crumbling away into dust from it's inset on the ring. "In short, I can only use it so many times." He raised his other hand, revealing the number of rings on it, each inset with a gemstone- It seemed his gaudy appearance was more than just for show. But was he telling the truth when he suggested that this was all he had? Certainly, it seemed he had enough to make the point moot- Aside from the burning pain in his soul as his money flew away with each activation.
"As for Que'er-" "I can flyyyyy!" Sang the woman, interrupting her boss... Well, that was okay. "A pity her bird mutation seems to have extended to her brain." He added, probably as a joke... Was this really the situation to crack jokes in? But the pout on his messenger's face was quite priceless, you know? He laughed out loud, as if this wasn't a high tension situation... Although, looking back, had he ever acted as though it was?
"But you know, before we worry about me... I think you should worry about them-" He finished, pointing at the angry mob. After all, they had been pushed away by the shield... But now it was down, and they were undoubtedly still ready to fight. If these officers wanted to take him in... Why, they were going to have to work for their keep, weren't they?
TL;DR That was easy. Too easy. Wang Ba explains his quirk to the officers, surprisingly honestly. Barrier is down. Fight for my amusement, peasants!

His wicked laugh was almost camp, if it hadn't been for the corpse that he created a second before. A method actor then, she thought wryly. The route between herself and her target was weaved through clusters of combatants and the northern exit of the warehouse. Lights flashed indistinctly overhead-aircraft monitoring the situation from above most likely. Sonya moved as fast as she could, picking her way through the darkened madhouse with an unusual level of precision. She didn't have to tell anyone she could see in the dark. No, that was her secret to keep.
The tension picked up when the shouts rose in various corners. Glows of light and power coming from various directions. She resisted the urge to use her own quirk to dissuade anyone from looking directly at her-her persuing comrade would be nonplussed and any observers would take note. The pale dawn would have to wait for another time. She gritted her teeth, clinging even more tightly to a suitcase as she let out another scream of fear, leaping over a prone body and almost slid to a stop as the wall came into view. She dashed forward ducking beneath a pair of arms that swung toward her from a pair of thugs. She wasn't blind, idiots.
She turned to the right and kept running toward the northern door when she felt a pressure in the air. The sound of policemen and what could only have been the sound of that Gaudy fools voice not too far away. Wang Ba. She snarled inwardly and charged toward the door. Why in gods name hadn't she dealt with the fat bastard sooner? She wouldn't allow herself to get wrapped up in the chaos his narcissism brought along-no, she had to get out of there as quickly as possible. The door was in sight, just a bit further. The thugs and/or police that had come at her from the sides appeared to have been no issue for her compatriot.
She flicked her phone open as she ran, checking it. A five was in her inbox.
"...Suboptimal success?" She cursed; "What could he have grabbed instead? Damn it..." She hissed, sliding to a stop at the door and glancing around. There weren't any thugs nearby. All she had to do now was breach the internal locks. If she huddled over it, her light should be able to necrotize and destroy the mechanism. But she needed time. She could only hope that her compatriot would be enough to hold off their enemies. She glanced back over her shoulder and pressed her back against the door, fear in her eyes even as she slid her palm over the door handle. A faint, very faint, pale light blossomed beneath her palm while she set to work.
"N-no! Go away! Oh god the door!" She cried out, pressing against it further and away from her ally.
Take the hint...
Tl;Dr
Sonya flees toward the northern wall of the auction house and makes her way to the door, darting through the chaos and around small-time threats with her new ally and bodyguard in tow.
She stops at the door only to receive intel that her plan is not going as she had hoped, but there is still something to gain. Unhappy but willing to accept the loss she moves on to breaking out.
Sonya pretends to be cornered by her new companion while she uses her powers to destroy the lock inside the door so they can get closer to escapee. | Discord 624 Words NOTES

He couldn't help but grin maliciously as he held the man roughly in his grasp. His power and might attempting to show as he'd try and make his grasp as strong and sturdy as he could in current circumstances. His eyes that were at present much younger then his own normally looked. They peeked softly over the edge of his hostage's shoulder. The small fragile scent of the little bit of blood from the wound causing his senses to tickle with delight from the aroma. His heart pounding with a chaotic joy in the moment as he played his part behind this fleshy mask just as they played theirs. It was one of those moments one could truly feel alive as the true self within him awoken for a time.
He could feel the tension building as he remembered the strange boy he'd lifted the bit of flesh from at the game display earlier. His strange body and how it recovered and twisted even when battered and wounded. He wondered to himself just how much that meant this current body could take as his situation seemed to become more intense by the moment. He pressed the point of his knife hard into the cop's back as he continued to peek out with the face of Niso upon the people aiming their weapons. He'd slowly try and ease the man in moving with him though near the thing he wanted most. His knife constantly applying pressure into the man's back as if to work as a good deterrent for anything resistance. Not afraid to push deeper any time he felt he was getting any resistance either.
If possible he'd try and get as close to the art he intended to try and purchase, The picture of Dantalion the demon he mimic'd in some ways and that he'd taken a fond relationship towards in his actions and mindset.
Once the gap if at all had been closed as he hoped to do would be when he'd strike into action. With how his reverting process would later work and how this strange quirk and body he'd borrowed in a sense from the small demonic boy before. All he had to do he felt was move quickly and escape.
With than in mind he'd move quickly when he could see his prize in close distance. His actions attempting to go as a quick attack trying to slice deep into his hostage. IF the man didn't avoid the attack somehow Dantalion would try and slide the blade deep into somewhere in the back to cause massive bleeding if his attack hadn't been stopped. The idea being to cause a need to aid the officer to hopefully try and if it worked remove some of the head comging his way. But that wasn't all in his attempt. He'd also attempt to with his strong might try and place both hands even the one holding the knife after the stabbing attempt and shove hard on the man's back to try and launch him as best he could towards the other cops ahead of him. "I'll just be taking what I want! Follow me at your own risk!" He'd say out loud chuckling as he did as his voice mimicked that of the boy he presently looked like.
Once this attempts were done he'd try and turn and bolt quick on his heels trying to quickly grab the art and attempt to rip it from its display and aim his running towards some shipping crates not far off near the cranes. Should he pass by anyone else on the way innocent or cops alike he'd attempt to slash at arteries or any area he knew with his knowledge of butchering 'long pig' what would cause massive bleeding and need for care. Trying to give the heroes and officers other stuff to worry about hopefully if all went as planned... but then again when did things ever go perfect. ---- -Attempts to force the officer with the thread of the knife to walk with him near the art he wanted. -When he's within reach of the art he'd try and attempt to thrust the knife in the officers back and then try and launch him with strength towards the other officers. -Then Darting towards the art and trying to snag it and take off cutting or stabbing at anything he managed to get near along the way more or less aiming for areas to cause good bleeding if anyone came close enough. Hoping to create more urgent matters for people to deal with then risk keeping chasing him. -Attempting to flee with his prize.

"....Is that ship heading towards the bridge?"
"...Y-yes."
"...That's not good,"
[Throughout this round, everyone on the heroes side will get weird feedback on their comms, with some people yelling in the distance. It's not like a ship is about to head itself towards the bridge in another thread, right? It's not like theres also a train starting up in the south unloadinng area, right??] ----
Now this is a predicament, thought the fire wielding hotshot to himself. He could try to run away, but right now he is currently being beaten up. The other goons are also being beaten up, with the best kind of damage there is: Property damage. Does it count as property damage? Do wooden crates being bashed towards people's bodies count as a plausible thing to bring up in court as potential assault? Who knows. Some of them fall on top of the weird goo, the last remnants of the MARINE test subject. Some of them freak out. They did not expect this day to go as it currently happening right about now, to put it lightly. They expected like...cool things. Like weapons to be sold to them. Rare mech. Drugs. Not getting their asses beaten. Some of the officers give their congrats to Grace.
Dock workers usually don't get paid enough in situations such as these. To transport cargo from arriving ships, placing the large containers into a secluded area for further voyage, doing anything to make the process easier, being attacked by several criminals and thugs. Its...it's not really great. Slight benefit of this: you get to see heroes up on front. Bad side of this: the reason why you can see them up front is because you're about to die or be badly hurt. Take for example 2 dock workers who do a simple job: crane usage. One uses the crane, other gets the stuff from inside of it with other machines and tools that are needed for extraction. Sometimes they might even stand there and count stuff. These two dock workers were taken by surprise by the MARINE explosion, leaving them scurrying around trying to find some shelter. And with that came intrigue. Intrigue present in the minds of the wicked and vile. Those who went to the auction and wanted something out of it. In this case 2 gun and knife wielding people, one of them has weird stuff on its skin (rocks? ice? it's hard to tell with a gun aimed at you). So they decided to go beat up some dock workers. Simple as that. As they approached the two, they see something. Wildheart and his trusty steed. Now that's interesting. They run towards Centaurion with knives out, the odd textured figure aiming their gun at Tony. That one seems more durable than the others.
But enough with this needless violence, let's go back to calm and organized violence. Wang's barriers went down, as he said. For that alone the officers have some basis to trust him. They also need to prove that they are willing to work with him, as they fight off the people coming in. He seems annoyed, unlike his assistant. (is it his assistant, or is it some sort of weird... thing between the two, thinks one of the officers to herself.) As two of them fire away and fight off the incoming angry mob, the main leader gets near Wang Ba. "We need to get out of here, soon. We'll keep up this volley if needed, but we may need your shield again." He positions himself in front of him to lead him out of there. "Might help if we had an eye in the sky, if you don't mind." If he does, he alerts the officers to keep an eye out on a winged figure, and to not shoot her down. If anyone shoots them down, it would probably mean losing the trust of this guy. And then something bad might happen to them. Not due to Wang. That creepy bird mask guy, Virtue, told them to bring him back, so if they don't...the hell will happen to them?
Wang's tone and voice, among this noise, is somehow yet audible, at least to Sonya. Perhaps she can sense him? Or maybe he's too damn loud. Right now isn't the time to worry about that: Right now this poor musician is having a 'rough' time. A lot of people getting close to her, and a lot of people suddenly dying due to a stinger 'missing' her. What a shame. Maekawa is having fun in this: it's fun to let your brain run free and do mindless stuff. She's having no trouble going towards her path, but there appears to be a complication. She looks actually put off, not the fake scared attitude but actual surprise in her face. Not to mention the door blocking her path. It seems she's trying to do something to the door. It's a bit obvious to tell with her 'screaming.' He slows down as he 'corners' her, only to look around and see some fellow auction goers going near them. He grins as he prepares his stinger. "So sorry, but I already have a date with her. You'll just have to wait in line." Another laugh comes in as he attempts to makes sure whatever the hell she's doing is working. But he only has one stinger. One of them can slip through if she's slow enough. He stabs one of them in the meanwhile.
Sonya may have had her plans slowly crumble around her, but John's plans apparently are going really well. Apparently, the best way to shop around for new artwork is hold someone hostage, walk with them towards an open section with tons of merchandise and art, stab them in the back with all of your might and push the poor victim towards the crew, then run off at breakneck speed like it were a special offer and it's the last one on the shelf. All those other people near the art? Just fellow pesky shoppers wanting to steal what is rightfully is. That one auction goer near the art, who just happened to look at John funny? Knife to the body. That one confused worker? Knife. This calls for a volley of bullets. One of them goes up to the poor kid as the others fire at John. They're not gonna let him get out of this easy. But they can't do anything. They need to stall for a Pro to get here. Hopefully she gets here soon.
——
Tony 'boss fight' with knife and gun mens with weird mutation, protect them workers Grace get yourself over there before the stamina gauge runs out. Maybe beat up John. Wang, do something to get your little team safe and sound, also dont fuck up cause you will be shot if you mess up. Sonya get that door open. your npc buddy is only human he's doing his best keeping people out. John get out of there, there's fucking guns and maybe a potential hero coming.

Tony smiled upon seeing his fellow hero prove herself to be more than capable of holding her own against these small fry. Looks like he did not need to worry about her. Unfortunately, there was no time for the two to exchange much words, as there was a message from the radio. There was a hostage situation! Someone needed to go over there and help. The heroine then offered to go. Seeing her skills, Tony had no doubt that she would help with the hostage situation. So nodding, Tony smiled. "Si. I'll leave it to you. I can take care of these guys." As soon as Tony was done here, he wanted to go meet up with and assist Grace, assuming his help would not be needed elsewhere. Hopefully this would not take too long.
So with that, it was time for the two heroes to part ways for now to each go do their thing. Centaurion grinned as it leered at the thugs that approached. A knife and a gun? Ha! They were no match for the beast's MIGHTY FISTS that were ready to SMASH these idiotas.
Unlike Centaurion, who seemed to be exuding a 'bring it on' type of aura, Tony was playing it more cautiously. Upon seeing the gun, he began to run to the nearest container for cover. "¡Ven acá!" Upon hearing Tony, the beast grumbled as it made its way back to Tony. "What, are we hiding? Why? Centaurion can take them on! Centaurion fears no gun!" Tony spoke quickly, as there was not a lot of time. Either the armed thugs would try to pursue the hero, or they would perhaps try to take advantage of Tony hiding behind cover to try to flee, or even worse, go after the workers. Either way, this could not be allowed to happen! "No, but listen! You may be durable, but I'm not! We have to wait for an opening. Then you go and take care of the gunman. I'll deal with the one with the knives." The beast nodded. Despite its prideful nature, it did care for Tony, so it could see why Tony did not want the two to just charge in. Better for the beast to take the bullet if there was no other option.
"On my count, we move. Take the gunman down. Kick his gun away if you can't crush it yourself." The beast nodded. It was eager to get out of hiding and start to SMASH the thugs with its fists. Tony took a quick peek to make sure they had an opening. Afterwards, it was time to count down. "Tres... dos... uno... ¡Vamos!"
And with that, the two charged right out of their cover. Centaurion was in the lead, quickly galloping towards the gunmen. With one arm, the beast covered its face just enough to be able to see while avoiding any bullets that might be aimed at it. With the other, Centaurion launched an aerial shockwave by punching the air really hard. "SMAAAASH!!" If the shockwave hit, the beast would then charge forward to try to keep the gunman pinned down if the guy fell, or to attack if he didn't. It the shockwave missed, the beast would fire punch after punch, aiming to take the gunman out before he could shoot the beast, or worse, try to aim for Tony.
Meanwhile, Tony ran over to the guy wielding the knife. If there was ever a time when Tony would be glad he signed up for those martial arts lessons, now was that time. Though he did not get much of a chance to put those moves he learned into practice in a real-life scenario until now. Well, it was time to put his new skills to the test! Tony moved to the side to avoid the knife, then aimed a punch straight at the man's stomach. He hoped to finish this thug off with one punch. Afterwards, Tony would hop to the side to avoid any possible counterattack, and then he aimed a kick at the man.
Of course, while all this was going on, Tony would hear the feedback coming from the police radio. It seems like there was trouble brewing on their end. However, Tony could not go over to assist them. Not now, since he was occupied with this thug. Tony moved in to try to grab the thug, slam him down on the floor, disarm him, and pin him down. He wanted to end this fight quickly. He had no time to waste on mere thugs. Not while his allies were busy taking care of the much bigger fish. I need to finish this soon so I can go help!
tl;dr
- Lets Grace handle the hostage situation while he cleans up here
- Hides behind a container upon seeing the guy with the gun, and has Centaurion do the same. Would rather play it safe for now.
- Since Centaurion is more durable than Tony, it makes sense for the beast to be the one to take on the gunman, while Tony focuses on knife guy
- Both get out of cover once the coast is clear
- Centaurion aims an attack at the gunman, aiming to both keep the man too occupied to try to shoot Tony, and to just take the guy down so he can be pinned down and disarmed
- Tony incorporates his new martial arts skills in his attacks, hoping to take the knife guy down quickly

Are You... Holding Out For a Hero~?
❝ “I’m off then, good luck!” Not wasting all that much time once her comrade had given her the all clear, with her stamina dwindling by the moment Grace knew that every second was vital, and amped herself up to ‘maximum’ in order to make the most of the time she had left. “This is Vortex, heading to support!” Lifting her hand up and activating the device in her ear and sounding her intention to the team of heroes and officers that were dealing with this big mess, she winced as all she heard was a nasty sense of static distortion in her ear in response, and only felt an even greater degree of urgency to reach her destination because of it. Come on Grace, can’t be flagging now! Mentally rebuking herself for the fatigue that she felt by this point, the disturbance to their radio systems seemed to only make the blonde more anxious and she rushed through the air with everything she had because of it, hoping that she wouldn’t be too late to help. Shooting through the air like some kind of violet comet as she aimed for the site of that nasty hostage situation, the hair of the heroine ruffled and she pursed her lips slightly to draw on air to keep her system going as best she could, wanting to keep every ounce she had in the ‘tank’ that she could for any possible encounter that might be waiting for her at the other end of this short journey. However, for all of her hopes the girl would find herself disappointed upon arrival. “N-No!” Stammering a little as she sighted the sign of a person on the ground who was stained with redness when she got to the site for which she aimed, the eyes of Miss Gilbert widened as she saw the man she presumed was the hostage down and the remainder of the group looking like they were trying to chase their assailant away. Lawmen launching forward with guns at the ready, they all seemed to be targeting what looked to be a schoolboy, which looked somewhat startling to a new set of eyes but the girl opted to trust their judgement. Don’t let that bastard get away! The eyes of the flying femme narrowing as she sighted the creep she assumed had been responsible for the injury and her fingers clenching before her, with a look that showed more ferocity than she was used to the Violet Vortex launched herself forward like a missile to intercepting her enemy. Deciding in that moment that she needed to cut him off from his escape route, Grace aimed her trajectory to shoot straight over the head of her target as she came in for a landing with the same amount of force that she had shown earlier. Certainly running close to empty but the indignation that she saw in the scene seeming to provide her with adrenaline to cope with that a little better, as she smashed into the ground the girl hoped that she might flatten to the fool in the process, but failing that she would certainly make herself quite the obstacle to be dealt with, that was for sure…
TLDR - Leaves things to Wildheart and rushes to the scene where Dantalion is
- Spots the wounded hostage and gets a bit mayad
- Goes in for another ‘ground pound’ landing to try and cut ‘The Butcher’ off
- Is starting to run out of stamina

"Yes, yes. That won't be a problem- Ah, but do be careful. The shields might be strong from the outside, but a single bullet from the inside will shatter them. In short, make sure your associates aren't too trigger happy, or all my efforts will be for naught." The fat bastard reminded, belly aching at the thought of wasting a precious jewel on a cop who couldn't hold their fire. As he spoke, he stripped the burnt gemstone ring from his finger- A surprisingly smooth move, considering how enveloped the ring was by fat- And cast it aside. It's value was spent, he had no further need for it.
With regards to using Zhu Que as a lookout, the man would wave his hand dismissively. "Very well. Of course, we'll want to be keeping in touch with her while she's in the air." If his words weren't clear enough, his glance at the communicator radios they held would be more than enough to see what he was getting at. "Or do you expect her to fly all the way back down each time she sees something off? By then we'd have walked right into it." As if to punctuate his point, Zhu Que chipped in as well- "Yeah, and that would be super tiring! Whew!"
Well, one way or another, the pair managed to wheedle a pair of comms out of their escort. Strictly speaking, only Zhu Que needed one... But Wang Ba was never one to accept one when he could get two for the same price! "As you may have noticed, Que'er has some... Interesting ideas." In short, half of what she said was utter nonsense. "It's only natural for someone who knows how to talk to her to be on the other end, wouldn't you agree?" Eternally the follower, the girl in the scarlet dress nodded along profusely... Which only served to confirm that something was wrong with her head. Soon outfitted with a communicator, and the other aerial forces informed of her being on the same side, Zhu Que took to the skies!
"Woohoo! It's been too long since I got to stretch my wings! [Thanks, Boss!]" The girl swooped around lackadaisically. Certainly, she wasn't even trying to scout around like she had been asked to. Wang Ba rolled his eyes, quite visibly- To those who were escorting him, if no one else. "Zhu Que." Her name was more than enough to cause the girl to freeze up- Especially when said without his usual affectionate honorific. "Teehee, sorry boss! But it's been days since I got to stretch my wings, you know! They're so sore!" The girl proclaimed her justification, while the surrounding police would perhaps gag at the flirtatiousness in her voice.
But as her boss, Wang Ba was well used to her behavior. "Focus." Was all he needed to say for her to cut off mid-loop, and begin to glide more steadily around their heads. However, while she may have become more focused in her actions, her reporting was still... "OOh, look at that glowing light! Isn't that that hero, uhh, Violent Vortex? So coooool!" At that, Wang Ba could only sigh apologetically towards his police escort. But at the same time, the comedic method had it's points- By treating it as such a joke, the tension of the situation would naturally be lowered, as would their guard towards him... Or at least, their guard towards Que'er. After all, she had clearly proven herself to be an idiot by now.
"Oh, Boss! Boss! You'll never guess who I just saw!" Zhu Que idly waggled around in midair. "It's that nice Chernova lady! She looks like she's in trouble, some creep's got her pressed up against a door... You gotta help her!" As to whether the birdbrain actually fell for her act... Okay, while she could be given the benefit of the doubt on the out of place comedy routine, this time was probably her actually misunderstanding. But to Wang Ba, it was the first piece of useful information she'd given him. Lady Chernova, the musician he'd met at that back alley auction... Someone with big goals for the future. Not someone who wanted to get stuck behind bars, for sure. As for the situation she was in... He honestly didn't care. What he cared about was that- "Well, that's not what we wanted to hear... But we can't very well leave a damsel in distress, can we? This Chernova is an... Aquaintance of mine. Musician. Surely it won't be too much trouble to escort her as well?"
Naturally, he wasn't actually doing this out of concern for the russian woman. It just seemed easier to muddle the waters with her around- And besides, it would make the view infinitely more pleasant.
tl;dr
Wang Ba accepts the proposal.Reminds the police of a weakness of his quirk he had not mentioned before... As much so they don't waste it as anything.
Also accepts sending his companion out as a scout... Although not before negotiating a pair of communicators away from the police.
Zhu Que messes around, both because she's a silly bird, and to use the comic relief to relieve the tension between WB and the cops, which he takes full advantage of.
After messing around, Zhu Que spots Sonya backed up against the door, and mistakes her for actually being in trouble. Asking WB to help her, WB passes the suggestion onto the cops. Naturally, he just wants to give them another thing to think about, to make his eventual escape even easier.

Everything happened at once. Sonya pressed her back against the door a bit more firmly, the cold metal stinging against the open-backed dress she wore. She gritted her teeth, lowering her head a little. Her pink eyes spun to refocus on the two that rushed past the man with the stinger. What the hell use was he if he couldn't protect her? She grit her teeth as a bit of light simmered on the surface of her skin. One of them hesitated and she smiled cruelly while the other took a risk and began a more aggressive approach. The light beneath her palm flared to life and actually began shining beneath the surface. There was no point in holding back now. She forced a lance of pale light into the door, obliterating the lock mechanism.
One of the men lunged at her, only realizing at the last moment that the light she gave off caused vertigo. He staggered, falling to a knee just as the door opened up behind her. Something caught fire nearby and burst, kicking up dust, debris, and smoke. The man looked up into pink eyes and a body obscured by the smoke of wrath and battle.
"I-Ishtar..." The thug yammered amid the din, his eyes wide. "You ain't no mus-" He tried to shout only for a lance of white light to flash from her fingertip. Obscured as it was by the smoke, no one would see the necrotic line form across his throat and rake its way across his face into his eye. The jagged line of death wouldn't kill him immediately, but her venomous companion would finish the job. She glanced up, spotting movement in her direction in the distance.
Her face twisted into one of disgust; "Vermin," She snarled, turning on her heel and walking out the door. "Finish him, we're leaving," She ordered the scorpion. No time to waste. She reached into her purse and took a few breaths, calming her quirk before picking up her phone. She sent one last text with it. A location and instructions for immediate pick up. Stepping out into the streets outside the warehouse she spotted the alley that where she was destined to escape. To her right, the grate of a sewer main opened and a man crawled out, looking frightened and disheveled. He looked at her and held up a bag. She turned away from him and kept her march toward the alley, all she had to do now was get to that damn car. Her minion ran ahead with all haste while she calmed herself enough to resume her role as damsel in distress.
While she walked, the blasts of artificial light around the loading zones flared here and there. The ambient energy feeding her quirk and restoring a bit of her strength. She was just relieved that criminals preferred to work at night and not in the midst of that damn sunlight. Her death would have been a forgone conclusion. Her pink eyes adjusted to the light outside and she spotted a pair of parking lights glowing in the alley. She clamped her mouth shut, she'd congratulate herself when she got away. | TAG 536 WORDS NOTES

The gunfire was loud and put a mild odder of gunpowder in the air. The sting on his ears almost as serene and strong as the very real cold then immediate burn of the bullets that scrapped at his limbs in several grazing wounds and a couple rounds breaking through his body in clean shots. One through his shoulder and one through forearm. The wounds weren't fatal but they would require treatment. As long as he didn't sense a fatal wound he knew when he shed this form later along with his bodies healing properties he had little to worry about compared to say a common man who may have taken such injury.
He tightened his grip upon the now rolled upper painting parchment gripping it in his hand on his uninjured arm. His mind was still lightly clouded in a haze of burning pain and a mixed storm of emotions in this strange and exciting spectacle happening around him. The youthful false look his body currently held a bit more spry then he was used to know. The power was strange and he only had a very mild control and idea of it given his only short time to practice a bit at it before the sell. With some mild focus he began to try and turn off the pain in several areas that were at their worst. The gun shot wounds for the most part being his main focus.
Even as the slamming force of the heroic and angelic Grace came before him in a deadly crushing display of force and power. John quickly and simply spinning almost on one heel. Seemed to quickly turn and take a different path still trying to use various path's between shipping containers as well as other innocence in the area to try and aid him in escaping. He snickered a little to himself as his breath began to become lightly haggard from all the exertion. This had been chaotic compared to his normal personal deadly interactions. The adrenaline pumping so hard through his veins it was like he was high on the moment. Quickly and hardily he continued toward any others still running heading towards the borders of the area. Now and again if possible wounding people along the way to create more distractions. The wounding slowing and stopping when he was sure he was no longer being followed. His haggard breath even with all the adrenaline causing him to feel like his lungs were on fire as well all the while. --- -Continues to try and run and look for distraction. -Lightly back tracks and continues to put main focus on escaping and supplying deterrents to put off people on chasing him.

"They;re going to ram it [The Endevour] to slow it down."
"Is it going to work?"
"Hopefully."
"Hmm. Huh? We're getting some feedback on something. Something about a...something being fired...what the…"
"...Is that…"
[Oh shit, lighting round..] ----
Heh, big ol hero is hiding behind some crates. Guess even they can't handle the great power of these bullets. A huge hassle to obtain then, especially within this auction. Seems like a good test or anything to try them out. He aims at the container, expecting the big hero to do nothing of the sorts like a sudden rush towards him or anything smart like that. He just has to aim at the guy, not the big lion horse figure or- oh dear god he slammed the ground. Oh dear god its coming towards him. O-oh well, uh, good thing he has hard skin literally so he can take the hit and aim at the guy... Right? Ri-right…? As he scrambles to grab the gun and aim at Tony, he gets assaulted by the horse guy. This...this really isn't how he wanted to go out. Not gonna lie. The knife wielder wasn't having any better luck. Although armed, Tony had some good moves. A straight jab with the knife resulted in a dodge and sudden punch. Recoil, and a weak attempt to strike at him again resulted in a quick take down. The dock workers nearby were elated to see someone help them out. They thank him for everything he has done. And then some weird noises are heard in the distance. An odd-looking streak of something fires overhead.
Meanwhile, Wang's Gang is making some good progress. Got some nice comms out of it, made a good connection, and now they've been told that there's someone in trouble. Someone that's currently trying to melt down the door. A door that is currently at the end of a closed off area, where the point of escape is currently blocked off by her assailant who is currently stabbing fellow assailants for picking on his prey. An 'assailant' who shrugs after she turned her back to him, appearing a bit mad at her as he casually walks up to the man on the ground, stabbing him. You know, trouble. The officer in charge is told this by Wang, who ponders over this. She is a singer, but at the same time it's suspicious that this man claims to know her well. What is this guy's deal. "You do know that we have to drag her in for questioning, correct?" He looks at Wang. "Alright. I'm keeping a close eye at you though. Guide us towards her." All of them turn their head towards that same streak in the side, however. Maekawa looks at it as she continues to run off. "Hey lady, is that one of your friend's fault?" He smirks.
Ah, a classic scenario. When the hero comes in and the villain begins to run away. Only the running away involves more stabbing and wounding than usual. John looks a bit desperate, while Grace is looking more tired, must be due to the energy wasted just to get here. The wounded officer on the ground is being cared by, leaving it to Grace to attempt to apprehend this madman. The ground pound managed to do its job well, leaving her with a good chance to grab him. But they're both tired here. And more and more people are people stabbed around here. Far too many people being thrown around as if they were just simple accessories, just some simple toys for someone to waste. "KEEP AIMING AT HIM!" Those who werent taking care of the wounded kept their eye on him. Absolute focus was required for- what was that noise?
""All units, be advised! Unidentified hostile has taken remote control of a... railgun... aboard the IOL Endeavor, proceed with caution and take cover when you hear the command, I'll tell you all where it's aiming when it fires, over!"
All comms were alerted, but a bit tad late. It seems the location was here. The railgun managed to hit a nearby crane, close by to Grace and John's area. Oh dear. "Wha-what the...Oh dear god! Ah-AAAAAH"
--- literal lighting round time!
Tony: You beat them! Now get your ass over there. Wang Ba: Why not help your friend over there? The police are iffy but if it means saving a civilian, they'll do it. Just keep an eye for stuff. Sonya: continue getting out of there Grace and John: Fight fight fight or run run run Heroes: Oh dear god that crane's falling down, oh shit, oh fuck. do something.

Tony was rather thankful that these thugs did not post too much of a challenge. Neither he nor Centaurion could afford to waste too much time on these guys. There were far more important things to take care of, like meeting up with the officers and other heroes, or saving civilians from the chaos. Speaking of civilians, Tony went over to them to make sure that they were alright. He smiled upon hearing them thank him for everything he's done. "Just doing my job, is all." But now it was time to escort these civilians to the nearest officers. As soon as they were safely taken to the nearest police officers, Tony would watch for a moment to make sure that they were not in any danger before quickly moving out.
It was clear that Centaurion was beginning to tire quickly. Tony was not exactly in peak shape either, but his greater stamina meant that he could keep going for much longer compared to the beast. Of course, Centaurion would not rest just yet. It needed to take Tony to where the heroine was. The sooner, the better. After assuring the beast that it could rest after the two hurried on over, Tony once again rode his summon to get to his destination sooner.
Of course, he was more than aware of how increasingly hectic things were getting. The messages on the police radio, and something being fired overhead. ¿Qué está pasando allí? Tony hoped that whatever it was that was happening over there, that the others were doing their best to handle it. He had to trust in the others, and he did. They had their mission to carry out, and so too did he.
Upon arriving, Tony had noticed several things. Injured officers, Grace going after someone (presumably a criminal), and a new message on the police radio. Wait, what? A railgun?! ¡Coño! Just what the hell was going on on that ship? But of course, things would only get worse.
After several shots, the crane was beginning to fall over! And despite their strength, Tony doubted that he and Centaurion would be able to hold the falling crane up even with their combined efforts. It was just way too heavy! Centaurion then quickly galloped to the area. If there was anyone in danger, then they would need to get out of the way. "EVERYONE, OUT OF THE WAY, NOW!" Tony could not help but shout. This was an emergency, after all. Hero, officer, villain, civilian, it did not matter who it was. Tony did not want ANYONE getting crushed.
So the two made their move. Tony decided to get off of the beast and stay just far enough away from the falling crane, but close enough to the beast to give it some room to work. If there was anyone still under the falling crane, Centaurion would gallop to pick them up and throw them out of the way if they could not move, or chase them away if they could. While Tony himself was well away from the falling crane, Centaurion was still right under it! But it was alright, as just before the crane could fall on top of the beast, Centaurion would shrink back to the red basketball-sized sphere before popping out of existence, sparing it (and Tony by extension) from being crushed.
Rest easy now, amigo. I'll take care of the rest.
Now to go over and assist Grace. Approaching the heroine, Tony smiled as he spoke to her. "Need a hand, señorita?"
tl;dr
- Escorts the civilians to the nearest set of officers, making sure that they are safe as they head out
- Heads on over to Grace's location
- Notices the falling crane. No way he or Centaurion can lift that.
- ohshit.jpg
- Stays out of the way while being just close enough to Centaurion to keep the beast's range workable
- Centaurion quickly makes sure that no one is in the way of the falling crane. If anyone is there, the beast will force them to move.
- Centaurion gets desummoned just before the crane can fall on top of it. Close call!
- The beast is now resting, too tired to be summoned again for a while
- Tony goes over to assist Grace

Are You... Holding Out For a Hero~?
❝ “Unnnffff…” Groaning as the smoke around her began to settle, the mighty attack that the Violet Vortex had unleashed seemed to have ruined plenty around her, and she hoped that the little psycho that she had been chasing was among that tally. Maybe I put a bit more into that than I should have done? Certainly not feeling all that good by this point, her head seemed to spin thanks to the combination of her impact and the exhausting symptoms of her quirk fatigue, the latter of which seemed to make the violet aura that had been surrounding her begin to ebb, among other things. Where is he? The hint of dizziness and disequilibrium that she was starting to feel a big clue to the girl that she was pushing herself too hard, the blonde beauty felt tempted to let her quirk ebb away entirely in order to abate the worse conditions that were to come, but decided against this. Instead scanning her surroundings for a sign of the brutal brat that had stabbed that officer, even though she felt a little woozy the experience of Miss Gilbert told her that she would regret letting her guard down until she knew her foe was beaten, and all too quickly was given a reason to thank that part of her as well. Still on his feet? The sounds of law enforcement opening fire drawing the attention of the golden haired girl as she looked around for a hint of her enemy, while she had hoped to find the fool floored or worse by what she had done, it was at least something of a comfort to realize that her reckless action had held that creep up enough that the police could try to pin him down. Steadily they seemed to be cornering the bastard. Persistent… Still some part of her seeming to feel almost a hint of admiration or respect for her despicable enemy as he continued in his attempt despite the adverse circumstances that he faced, even though she thought she saw the wicked boy get clipped by a round or something from the barrage that the officers unleashed it was almost impressive the way that he soldiered on, seeming to only be slowed down a little by the event that unfolded. He had some grit, even if he was a criminal, one supposed. Can’t be the only one letting the side down…! Almost feeling inspired by what she saw in front of her, despite the fact that she remained a little bit shaky and a little bit nauseous by all that she had been through, Miss Gilbert found her resolve to catch this maniac growing all the more with how stubborn he was to surrender. However, before she had a chance to set off after him, something seemed to distract her, and likely, a lot of the folk in the vicinity. “W-What the?!” Shouting out in surprise as she heard the crash of the railgun striking steel and then feeling an ominous sense of worry when next that steel ‘lumber’ gave a groaning creak, the violet eyes of the vixen grew wide as she saw the Crane toppling over and the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as she saw what looked to be people in the path of it in trouble, and she knew what she had to do. Flaring her aura up once more and lunging through the air in a desperate attempt to try and catch a few of the fools, as she swiped up a couple of dock workers something caught Grace’s attention that made her gape for a second, and then smirk a moment later. “Whoa!” Shouting out as she saw the form of the majestic centaur aiding her in the effort and charging around to throw the rest of the hapless people in the path of the crane out of the way, once again Miss Gilbert found herself just a little bit excited by what she saw, and hopped down to drop off the pair she had saved before casting her attention toward the master of the beast who had seemed to catch her up. “Now that’s one wild stallion!” Flashing her fellow hero a big grin as she landed on the ground and letting out a sigh of relief when he seemed to deactivate his quirk in order to spare his ally the grizzly fate of having that structure land on top of him, she felt a rush of energy flow through her body like no other, and for a moment or two felt reinvigorated as well. “The bastard that attacked that officer is making a run for it, let’s get him!” Impressed by her ally but not for a moment forgetting about the lad that had seemed to make a run for it in the moments before, even though she was running on fumes by this point the girl found herself not wanting to take a break while that maniacal miscreant was on the loose. Calling to the hero that had appeared next to her and pushing out every ounce of quirk power she could as she did so, Miss Gilbert set off into the air with all the pace she could pull out, shooting over the remnants of the crane as she did so and making a beeline for the last place she had seen her foe before diving to the rescue.
TLDR - Starts feeling woozy because of her quirk overuse.
- Notes the direction that John was heading, but gets distracted by the falling crane.
- Fly-dives to save a couple of flagging dock workers as Centaurion Rescues the rest.
- On her last legs but opting to push herself onward, she calls for Antonio to join the hunt, heading into the direction she last saw John.

Post by Wang Ba on Nov 21, 2019 13:33:25 GMT -4
"Of course. I'm counting on it." Wang BA replied. It would probably sound ominous if anyone were in a position to appreciate it- But come on, look at that hearty smile! Would a man smiling like that possibly have ulterior motives? Clearly he just intends to use the police squad to protect his friend as well as himself and his companion, before hiring a lawyer for her. Any other interpretation is clearly delusional. Or that person has a quirk to read minds.
After all, despite not knowing the lady very well, WB was more than certain that she had no interest in a jail cell... And to operate in a place like this, she certainly had some confidence in her backing. Or perhaps it was those strange eyes of hers? Either way, if she had come to the auction site without a single trump card... Why, even if she won an auction, she'd have been hard pressed to keep her prize. In this seedy underbelly of society, who would shy away from taking the things they could not buy? Or else, why would these mindless slobs be here... They clearly lacked the money to compete with the big names on the scene, let alone to properly dress themselves.
It was a common sight in underworld auctions, one which the professional auctioneer Wang Ba had seen many times. Even before quirks became so prominent, it wasn't unusual for the auction's biggest spender to turn up in an alley with several stab wounds soon after... Those who were smart, would make sure to slip away unseen. Those who were smarter still, would lie in wait in ambush at the darkest alleys nearby. After all, what was better than spending someone else's money?
To Wang Ba, it was having enough to not need to. Naturally, he had his own courage to have come to this auction... Even without bidding on anything of importance.
Through the radio, he affirmed the policemen's consent- "Very well, Que'er. Lead the way."
Up in the sky, a small figure could be seen flipping about, as though in celebration. Unlike her boss, Zhu Que honestly wanted to help the nice lady who shared(?) an interest in her boss! Never mind that the lady in question would be more interested in an ant... At least in the sense Zhu Que imagined. His money, however, his money was quite the attractive statement on its own. "Que'er. Less distractions, more directions. Which way."
Coldly cutting short, The figure suddenly froze... "Eto, it's..." Looking down from above, the winged girl... Somehow managed to guide the villain and his entourage of law enforcers towards the location. Accompanied by Zhu Que's mindless chattering about the goings on. Whether it is due to tiring of acting as an interpreter, or just wishing for another to suffer along with him, WB turns up the volume such that the other police can follow along.
"Ah, no, sorry, that was a left! Ah, the door opened, she's free! Oooh, that's not pretty... Oh, that's a lot of blood. Oh, oh my. Hurry, boss, that guy's not right!" In short, a bunch of nonsense... As for what exactly was going on, it wouldn't be obvious until they arrived at the scene itself.
Fortunately, they weren't far away, and Zhu Que managed not to screw up their left with her left... Somehow. He would have to praise her when they got back. For now... He glanced among the carnage. The dead bodies do not phase him in the slightest- Of all the things he is a stranger to, death is not one of them. However, an act is only as valuable as it is kept up- "Oh, oh dear. I do hope miss Chernova is okay. Sirs, this seems like your area of expertise, does it not?"
Between a suspicious but kindhearted fatty, and a man leaving a trail of bodies in his wake, it is clear who is a higher priority. "Ah, perhaps we should request a hero for backup, or two? This man Que'er mentioned, the one stalking the Miss, he does seem quite dangerous."
Of course, there was no backup. How could there be? After all, just moments after he spoke, a loud explosion ripped the night apart, and a crane came falling down... Internally, Wang Ba cursed, but his heart was smiling... He didn't actually want a hero to come, that would merely complicate matters. But if he didn't suggest it, wasn't it as though he was simply sending the police to their deaths? Of course, he wouldn't mind doing that... But he would mind very much if they blamed him for it!
tl;dr WB is sending his trustworthy(?) bodyguards(?) to mess with Maekawa. Hopefully they don't die too pointlessly.

Sonya carried herself with purpose out and into the street outside the warehouse. Even when the explosion of sound ripped through her body all she could do was focus on putting one foot in front of the other. It was all that matter and it was all that was necessary. Her subordinate rushed ahead to get the drive ready and to reset the seats, they had an extra passenger. Sonya pulled out her phone and flipped it to selfie mode, glancing at the space behind her. Her scorpion friend was still following and it looked like some other figures were getting close to the exit she made.
Sonya turned around and let all that power that had been building up since the moment the event went upside down out onto the surface. With the smoke, debris, and chaos involved with the various fights, explosions and the falling crane, it was impossible to make out clearly exactly who was using what quirk. She let the power ball up in her fist.
"Shield your eyes," Sonya called to her new ally, and hurled the sphere of light in an arc.
It burst in mid air. A brilliant flash of cold, nauseating, debilitating light flared into existence. It wouldn't do much but it would be a good enough distraction for those last few seconds. This while she turned and ran the last dozen meters toward her vehicle. It was already running when she arrived, a door open for her and her companion. It was now or never. He either committed to joining up with her or they went their separate ways at this point.
She patted the back of the drivers seat either way, priming him. If her comrade hopped in, they'd speed off into the night.
Sonya's done with this shit, she makes for her car with or without her new buddy. She uses her quirk for the first time to blind and disorient anyone behind her and Maekawa so they can make the getaway clean. She orders her driver to gun it as soon as Maekawa gets in the car. She's out of there next post if he does not. | TAG 367 NOTES

More then a few areas in his body had become numbed in a sense as he turned of splotch sized areas of his bodies pain receptors. This strange quirk he'd copied allowing him to do this making the bullet wounds to for now be less of a impeding factor. His body could mend with time even without the power but he planned to squeeze it for all it was good for before the shedding process to come after still a bit of time. But the first most immediate problem being that of Japan's finest and the hero squad they'd brought with them. He'd need to push some of his body further then he probably should. Some of his body becoming sluggish even resisting the pain. That didn't stop fatigue and lack of blood from still taking its very real tole on his body. Coughing crimson fluids into his hand as he ran quicker down his way. His other hand clinging tight to the rolled up piece of art clinging in his hand. The value of which starting to be compared heavily to the risk this all had been incurring. A snarl on his lips as he felt the anger growing ever still towards those that had interrupted the auction.
He continued to try and flee stashing his blade and at this point trying to fade into the crowds or whatever may have remained. Hoping those that were following would eventually seek the dangers expecting more to come. At a few points his side hitting the side of docked shipping containers as smears of crimson was left behind as if painted on the walls. Rolling his eyes as he thought back to the painter briefly in his mind. He kept his blade stashing it away back in its sheathe leaving the blood though encase he needed a change of appearance so to speak. Yanking a jacket off one of the bodies he'd left bloodied in his path. Trying to cover his wounds and bloodied body to only a mildly successful rate. His hostility beginning to cease disguised as feigned panic as he tried to blend with anyone he could who may have still been attempting to escape.
---- Continues to try and escape. Grabbing a Jacket from a victim along the way to cover his wounds
Becoming heavily fatigued from loss of blood and managing this strange quirk
Attempts to use any crowd or people left to feign fear with them and escape.
