20th of April - 07:45 WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy The sun was peeking over the line that made up the horizon. A month ago, it would've probably still been relatively dark at this time. Now, the weather graced the freshman students at Yuuei with a warm and gentle embrace. There had been very little public commotion, considering the opening of the first Hero Academy. A few journalists were poking around, but in general, the grand opening of Yuuei was treated as a sideshow to the regular news. It was a fact that the young female could most definitely appreciate.
Rin was wearing the all-new Yuuei school uniform. The light grey colors intertwining with the red from the tie and the white from the shirt underneath. Falling from her hip to just above her knees was the dark green skirt. The weather was warm enough that one could've gone bare, but she still wore a pair of matching dark green tights. It was fairly commonplace for highschools to have uniforms for their students, but for whatever reason she hadn't expected it for a hero academy. Then again, she wasn't entirely sure what to expect. This was such a new concept, that even the curriculum wasn't something she could've prepared for in advance. Heck, most of the rules and regulations that pertained to heroism was still being written, debated, changed. All of this education was a hot new topic. All one could do was strap in and face it head on!
Stepping through the gate, her blue eyes wandered for a few moments. The area was absolutely huge. From what she had understood, Yuuei had been built this far out for several reasons. Quirks were noisy, practicing them required a lot of space, and there were political movement that still didn't entertain the idea of a lot of quirk users being coralled into a small area close to the city where they could accidentally hurt someone. Sighing softly, she swung the schoolbag over her shoulders. Once they were all introduced, most of the things she carried could be left in the lockers...
The girl had a fairly good idea of where she was meant to be heading. Stepping aside, she still wasn't completely convinced. Standing a bit off the path, she pulled out her phone. Having written down the directions, getting lost on her first day there wasn't going to happen! Today was meant to be a joyous beginning of a new adventure, and she would give it her everything to make this day perfect!
Raising her head, she soon found herself looking at the other students passing through the gate, curiosity having gotten the better of her. There were so many different personalities stepping through. There were those that seemed mostly disinterested in the whole thing, believing school to be a waste of time, probably only attending Yuuei because it was easier than studying to become a lawyer. There were those that had decided heroism was their dream, arriving here with a hopeful determination. Then there were those that had been placed here for one reason or another; Either to prevent them from drifting towards villainy, or as some kind of punishment for misusing their quirks. If nothing else, Yuuei could teach them some quirk discipline! It was clear from this mishmash of individuals, that there wasn't a clear direction for what Yuuei was going to be.
All new beginnings were hard. At the end of the day, Rin had come here with one purpose. The girl wanted to learn how to help those in need. To help make Japan a better place!

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings "Have you heard that he got into that new Hero school?" "Susanoo?! No way, how can they allow a person like him to become a Hero?" "He'll give up, it's in his blood to do that" "Yeah, you're right. But he's the only one from here that got into Yuuei. That's unfair, it should've been one of us. He doesn't deserve it." "Don't worry, he will probably get someone else almost killed again and be kicked out."
That was just one of the many conversations the Ryuusei Igarashi heard at his previous school when the word that he had been accepted into Yuuei got out. It hurt. Not as much as some of the other things people had said about him, but it still hurt. It hurt mostly because, in some way, they were right. How could he become a Hero? No, that wasn't even the main question in his mind. That would be another thing:
Do I really want to be a hero?
Those conversations he constatly heard at the school halls. That damn question he kept asking to himself. Those were Ryuu's thoughts as he slowly walked towards the academy location. He was already wearing the school's uniform that had been delivered to his home a few days before. A grey/red/dark green pallet of colors, with traces of white and gold. It looked clean and nice, but unconfortable at the same time: with the sun shining, it was more hot that what the fifteen year old would like.
His light-brown hair dangled in front of his bright and almost golden eyes as he approached his destination. He stopped at the main gate for a little bit, earphones still tightly inside both his eardrums. He adjusted the schoolbag that he had hanging from only his left shoulder a little bit while looking ahead.
It looks like a normal school, he thought to himself.
He was just analyzing the buildings and landscape. He couldn't bear to look at the other students' faces, already afraid of what they would think of him; still accustomed to the way he had been treated before. Ryuu looked like a normal kid. With his good looks, height, distant expression and pierced ear, one could even assume that he was the agressive type of guy. But that was far from the truth, as for on the inside Ryuusei Igarashi simply felt like a void - a butterfly with broken wings.
He took his first step but, as fate would have it, the youngest Igarashi was destined to start his path with the wrong foot. Not exactly knowing how, he tripped, starting to fall onto the ground...
A fresh new start or a return to the same old routine? Who knows...

While the day might have been incredibly hot for most people, it definitely was nothing different for a certain young man. Even as he turned his face to look up at the skies, his right hand slightly raised over his eyes to give himself shade, so that he could stare at the skies for a while longer. There really was not a single cloud up in the skies, it seemed. Not only that, people around him were using the light version of their uniforms. Well, so was he, but that was because he already knew everyone else would.
He turned his head back in side, sitting in the back while his father drove him to U.A. Even though they had gotten the closest high quality house there was to the school, it still was at a fair distance away from them, which meant that he needed to be driven there. While he was quietly waiting, his father began speaking, his grumbly, deep voice having a tone of slight excitement. "Isn't it exciting? One of the firts hero schools in the world. Although.. I still find it weird how you didn't choose to go to one of the schools closer to Britain." He said, raising his left, non dominant hand to rub his vast beard for a second, his rugged face pondering for a second, soon putting it back on the steering wheel. Maximillian, though, had prepared several great answers for any question like that, since he himself knew that he had more than just one reason to come to Japan: He loved anime. So he wanted to learn heroics in the land of anime. He was well aware that it was a pretty straight-forward reason, however, he wasn't one to care. "You see, dad.. It's because I'm sure Japan will be the leading nation in Quirk-Related technology!" He explained, knowing full well that it was a bullshit reason, however, a reason that a businessman like his father would surely agree. And agree he did, through a smile that Maximilian could see on the front mirror. His father continued, as they could now see U.A. through the window.
" You really are my son, hm. Well, have fun on your first day! I'll come pick you up at 6 PM."
With that simple order given, Maxi nodded to his dad as he got off of the car. Such a nice car like that was sure to attract attention, attention that was soon scared away since, as soon as anyone dared to get even within 8 metres of Maximilian, the atmosphere got WAY colder, something that someone dressed in summer clothing really couldn't tolerate.
All the better, Maxi thought. Talking to people was way too much work and, not only that, some of them seemed more like criminals than heroes. Probably here since their parents basically saw U.A. as a military school for delinquents. Sighing lowly, he made his way through the gates, his right hand fixing his bright blue hair, a frown curling on his lips as he noticed that he didn't bring any ice cream at all. That could only mean his day wouldn't be so.. good. WORDS: 526 TAGS: @none NOTES: First Post!

I see you through the flood See you through the fire See you through the storms-a-raging
❧ Early bird gets the worm. The worm, in this case, would be the bus leading to U.A. academy, and the early bird would be the diligent student ready to take on the day. The only problem with that sentence was that Yoruhi Honookaen barely slept the day before the gates to U.A. opened up, but if someone could call a person being awake ever since two in the morning an early bird, then sure, he perfectly fit the role.
Excitement was keeping his heart in a tireless race, and he felt like he was winning. There was no way he could sleep through the night, and he was already out of the house and the residential area two times that morning to release the pent up energy somewhere, anywhere, without being seen. He was true to his name and lit the night aflame.
When the morning came, he felt as ready as ever. He walked out of his room as if he just woke up, greeting his dear parents and spending his breakfast with them, because they also knew how important this day will be. New school, new people, new life. And hope, first and foremost, not only his own, but all of theirs. As expected, his mother said he should take the bus to make sure he wouldn’t be late on his first day. Yoru got ready, kissed his mother on the cheek and highfived his father before disappearing out the door wearing the school’s uniform and a simple backpack hanging from both his shoulders. His legs led him to the bus stop where he would wait for the ride as his mother suggested.
…
Naaaaaaaaaaah.
His foot was tapping, his knee shaking, and he knew he had to do something or he would burst. There was liquid fire burning through his veins that urged him to just run, run through the road leading to the future, to his future, and to the life of a hero. Even before the government decided to give way for a hero course in education, Yoru was already punishing bullies and aiming to apprehend criminals in any way he could. Now there was a chance he could do that without staying in the shadows and carefully avoiding the watchful eyes of the police.
It will be perfect.
If Yoru was to get famous, maybe that one person will show his face again.
He did what his emotions fueled him into and ran, right to the school, and when he arrived, he could already see the students slowly flowing through the gate. Yoru did his best to avoid colliding with anyone, sidestepping during running and also jumping above the rails that proved to be an obstacle. The important thing was that he wouldn’t stop until he reached the gate, where he came to a skidding halt and stomped with his left foot, kicking up just a tiny, orange colored flame in his wake.
The school. The first hero school of the country. Of course he would want a piece of this cake, if he could help it, and share it with a few others before gobbling it all up. God dang it, this is a freaking hero school so this ought to be awesome!!!
He was watching the faces around the place, also noticed an expensive-looking car (what a show-off, uhhh), but his search was mostly for familiar people. Maybe he would see someone from that gang way back, or maybe he would actually see a runaway kid wearing the same face as him, someone that needed a good smack and year of scolding, preferably. But whenever he looked at anyone, his stare could be mistaken for a scowl, dissatisfied and arrogant, even though he was anything but.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy So many faces were passing by in very few moments. It was impossible for the raven haired female to keep track of even half of them. Several of them were bound to be classmates in the near future. There were individuals from all layers of society gathering here. Perhaps waiting around would ultimately be a disadvantage. Perhaps it would be more proper to move indoors, to the classrooms where their teachers would very likely be introducing them. Scratching her cheek, from what little she knew, the teachers at Yuuei were all former vigilantés, hired by the government. It was strange to think that it was such people that would be guiding these young towards a bright future. The only thing Rin was willing to admit, was that they were likely the only ones with any experience dealing with villains...
Having spaced out for a moment, the thing that snapped her back to reality, was a boy wandering through the gate with cautious steps. However, as it turned out, he hadn't been cautious enough. It had looked to Rin like his shoelace had gotten stuck in something. Reaching a hand out, the girl hesitated for a moment. Standing out was the complete opposite of what she wanted to do, first day of school. Letting a boy fall down and likely be humilated was even worse. The slight hesitation was all it took however. Grasping onto him too late, his momentum was too quick for the girl to stop. His sleeve slipped straight through her fingers, as he plopped onto the ground with a loud thud. Averting her eyes in a near comical fashion, as if it could physically hurt the girl watching him get hurt, she peeked at him from the corner of her eyes...
A hero would've been able to help, right? That was the whole idea, to be of assistance to those in need, both large and small. At the very least, she was going to help him to his feet. Hopefully the situation wouldn't turn out too embarassing for either of them. Stretching an arm down to him, her palm was open for him to take hold of, if he so desired. Even so, she wasn't comfortable offering him this gesture. Contact with the opposite gender typically didn't go favorably for her...
"I, uhm, th-think your shoelace got untied... Here, let me help you up..." The girl's voice was fragile, silent. Silvery bells ringing in the wind, chimes barely touched. If the boy took her hand, she'd help pulling him to his feet in a swift movement. However, much like how she had gotten involved with him to begin with, he'd very quickly avert her gaze elsewhere. Interactions were difficult. "I, uhm, should probably get to class.. Y-yeah.." Even if she spoke, she couldn't just begin moving away until she was sure that he was okay. Such was her plight, so she quietly waited to make sure that everything was okay. As soon as that was the case, she would be more than happy to break away. Especially given the presence of another boy at the gate. The way he was looking around, it almost screamed sentences to Rin; I am looking for a punching bag, someone to discipline. It was the same kind of gaze that her father sometimes had, especially when he wasn't content with something. A very unpleasant stare indeed... Boys were scary, and it send cold shivers down her spine. Brrrr.

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings While falling, it was like everything went into slow-motion. With his eyes now fixating on the ground where he would soon lay, Ryuusei found a strange beauty in that scene. The moment after vertigo, the fall that can't be stopped. He wouldn't mind embracing such feeling forever, his eyes not having to cross with another ones; not having to see other people judging him. Falling... how didn't he ever realize the peace that such thing carried?
He felt a hand trying to grab him, but it was a failed attempt. Hitting the floor with arms first - a quick decision in order to avoid damage to his head - Ryuu's earphones came out of his ears and his backpack opened, all the contents inside of it now visible for everyone to see. A camera, his school notebook and writing material and also two personal books, which contents were noticeable by their covers: a poetry book and a philosophy one. It was all on the floor, right at the middle of Yuuei's main entrace. It took some seconds for Ryuusei to react. He couldn't believe such thing had just happened but, at the same time, he could only think one thing:
Of course this happened...
He got to his knees and started to put everything into the backpack once more. He didn't do it in a quick way or even showing embarrassment. His face showed the exact same distant expressions and cold feeling as before. His movements calm and collected, almost like nothing had happened. There was an inherent sadness to it all - a young kid that had already accepted his hopeless condition. That fall wasn't something that could've happened to anyone: it happened because it was him.
"I, uhm, th-think your shoelace got untied... Here, let me help you up...", he heard when he turned back to pick up the earphones, still on his knees.
Ryuu looked down. His right shoe shoelace really was untied. How fool. Not looking at the girl, he replied.
Yes, that it is... Thanks.
He replied, tying is shoe and, after that, gently grabbed the hand that reached to him. He was careful to hold it with almost no force, even putting all of his strenght into his own legs for the girl to not lose her own balance or make unecessary force while pulling him up.
Stading now in front her, he had to look down in order to properly see her face, He easily had, at least, 20 more centimeters than the girl. She was quick to point out - in a anxious way - her need to go to class. A normal thing: it was the first day for everyone and being late would look bad. However, seeing the girl for the first time, it took some seconds for Ryuusei to respond. Why did it took that time? Those eyes, those mesmerizing sapphire blue eyes.
Y-Yeah, me too. Thanks again, just like the previous answer, his voice carried a detached tone, something characteristic to Ryuusei.
He himself wasn't that comfortable talking to other people due to his past experiences, so that was all that he was able to say, not even remembering to ask the girl's name or say his own.
Those words spoken, he would once again adjust his backpack strap and put his earphones on, starting to walk once again in the direction of the main building, expecting the girl to have already started doing the same.
Would someone stop him?

It wasn't that great for him that no one had even dared to get close enough, to ignore the cold area around him to at least introduce themselves. It felt a little bad, but what did he care? He knew that they'd come around soon enough, seeing just a little mishap caused by something he could not control as anything more than just, well, a mishap was unrealistic and stupid at best.
So, with that in mind, he eased himself and just kept on walking inside, instead focusing on something way more important, that he had been hoping for as long as he knew anime: GIRLS IN CUTE SCHOOL OUTFITS!
It'd be the height of stupidity for him to not notice it! So many of the girls wearing such low skirts due to the heat and thanks to the climate! Even more, some of them were tall beauties, some of them naturally or due to their quirks. Either way, it made peeping all the easier to do and to hide. If only he could take pictures without being noticed, life would improve tenfold right there. For now, he had to start investing on proper equipment if he wanted to do this properly: a high-quality camera, mapping of all the good spots to photograph from, mapping out the routines of the prettiest girls. If he was to enjoy the cusp of his youth in the easiest, low-effort requiring way, he'd have to be prepared and equipped, it's only obvious! So there he was, completely lost in his fantasies over life in Japan as, in a brisk pace, completely unlike someone lazy like him, he made his way into the main building, passing by poor shy Ryuu, allowing the heat-hating boy to feel the chilling temperature that the smiling Maxi let out. It was, in estimate, around 7 degrees Celsius at that moment, a chilling contrast to what, in Maxi's opinion, would be at LEAST something like 30 degrees or something. Even he could feel it. - New Beginnings - " I'm finding clarity in kerosene " An ocean away and her natural instincts still wouldn't let her put her guard down.
Jasmine heaved an uneasy breath as she walked towards Yuuei, donning her brand new school uniform, thigh-highs and all that jazz. Never in her life did she think she'd find herself in this type of setting. In an utterly new world, seemingly completely detached from the outside. And in a goddamn school, no less.
Japan was strange. Sure, she had a whole year to acclimate to the culture, to learn the language and catch up on all the academics she missed, but after crossing the Pacific it felt like she had entered a completely new universe. A universe she didn't think she'd get used to any time soon.
Her earphones blasted music into her ears as she walked, her inquisitive lilac gaze darting from person to person. So many new faces, so many smiles. It was a sight that was unusual yet not at all unwelcome. A part of her relaxed, yet her guard was still very much up.
Entering through the gates, she couldn't help noticing several key people. First was the guy glaring daggers at people. All she could do was roll her eyes at the display, really. Whatever. Then there was that other fidgety pair. And the weird guy who was ogling every skirt he saw. Ugh, she wanted to punch him. Also why the fuck was it getting cold?
The blonde beauty shook her head and steeled her gaze forward. Not today, she thought, continuing her stride inside Yuuei. All of this was just too damn weird.

Yuuei. The school of heroes. First of its kind. A ray of hope for Quirkers across the world. A sign that times were finally changing and acceptance was setting in.
Maybe.
These were Nick’s thoughts as he strode towards the already infamous building, confidence powering his every step, head held high, shoulders back and a smirk plastered across his face. He exuded pride in every aspect of his being. He was determined to give the impression that he meant business, because as far as he was concerned, he did.
As he stepped into the grounds, familiar words echoed in his mind: remember why you’re there. Yes, how could he ever have forgotten; he was there to watch the development of this new ‘hero program’ and spy on behalf of the Gifted Underground – but these were not his only reasons, damn it. He would become the greatest hero the world had ever seen, with wealth and power beyond anyone’s dreams, far more than anyone from the little pro-Quirk group that raised him would ever know. No one was going to stand in his way; not even them.
He felt thrilled to wear the UA uniform. He was part of something new, something gigantic, something that would change the world forever. He would always be remembered as one of the first to go through this.
He surveyed his surroundings to assess the other students; his attention in particular focused on an angry-looking kid, a flustered boy who had just tripped over the idiot, the girl talking to him, an unsubtle pervert he hoped would not last long there and a huffy blonde girl who clearly did not want to bother with anyone. He curled his nose. Perhaps he would be in for some competition here; perhaps not. It was too early to really say.
Stopping, he slowly and deliberately raised an arm – he did not have to do this to activate his Quirk, but it was certainly more dramatic that way. The disc-shaped growth on his back bulged and spat out black sludge-like flesh that swelled over his clothes and grew into the shape of his fearsome, spike-covered biological armour. This naturally drew many stares and gasps from his surroundings. He merely chuckled.
It was important to make an impression.

I see you through the flood See you through the fire See you through the storms-a-raging
❧ As interesting as it all started, he expected the day to go down the drain, but it didn’t disappoint him. People kept flooding in, one after another, each one unique and weird in their own way, but sadly, none of them bore the same features as him. He wasn’t even sure why he expected a traitor to show up at a hero academy, so he instead turned and... ...Helplessly watched a poor student faceplant the ground itself. Yoru was instinctively ready to move and pick the unlucky soul up but someone else was already there to help. If there was anyone else, he was better off without his help, probably. That was at least his reasoning, and after a good stare at both of them – wow, that girl had pretty eyes, but dang, did her expression sting – he looked away and avoided any possible eye contact. This one guy he conveniently named Frigiman was already tiresome enough just by being around him, but the fact he kept oogling girls the way he did screamed trouble his way. Yoru marked him a bully, a possible danger, and he swore to god, if the guy ever caused unnecessary problems to the female students, Yoru would personally deal with the icebrain himself. For now, he would just give the most condescending look he could muster up with his still-going excitement, and muttered a fitting “What a Zero”, and turned away. He showed no sign of the cold air bothering him, as his own inner heater was working wonders. Aside from Frigiman there, he was probably the least affected by it all. He paid little mind to the newest female incoming, as she barely did anything that would get his attention, and the second one, the show off only earned the most perfect deadpan head-shake and a sigh as he headed to the building himself. Some of them had a better start, and some of them did not. But that didn’t mean the day had to continue with unfortunate events, and to prevent that, Yoru reached into his backpack and pulled out a small bar of chocolate. It was something he usually had on him to keep him energized. Energy drinks were horrible, and tasted worse than the burnt remains of his own cooking. Chocolates were god-sent though, and he always had spares for poor times. Not to mention he had extras to sacrifice in times of need. He caught up with Ryuusei and pushed the bar of chocolate to his chest with surprisingly little force. “Hey, you dropped this, too”, he said, eyes sparking orange, but the grumpy expression remaining. “Heads up!” He didn’t dare to prolong the interaction in fear that his own approach would be seen as bullying, so instead he backed away, continuing on toward the destination of all the students. Chances were, he won’t see them much around school anyway. True, they will have classes, but they will probably be sorted differently, and only meeting by chance in the hallways. WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy The boy didn't seem all too interested in sticking around and chit-chatting. Accepting that his shoelaces had come undone, he quickly tied them back together, getting everything back in order. Then, graciously, he accepted her outstretched hand. Even so, she was more than aware that he wasn't actually accepting her help. There was next to no weight put against her, no requirement for her to assist him, no pull needed to get him on his feet. It was purely a gesture from his side. A gesture without any real meaning, or perhaps a gesture stating that he wouldn't want to be a burden to others. The last bit, a sentiment that the girl understood more than well. Or perhaps it was simply touching her that had him disheartened. Pulling her hand back, her head lowered a little, apologetically. Rin should've acted different in asking if he wanted assistance. From there, things only derailed further. It seemed the other just wanted to leave, as soon as possible. In fact, he didn't seem too interested in introducing himself at all. Sighing softly, it was a sigh of relief, really. Getting too woven into things, especially with students that weren't neccesarily part of her class either, would only assist in making things ever more difficult. Nodding quietly to him, the girl's sapphire eyes looked around once again. With a student having fallen over, there were sure to be eyes on them; And there were quite a few.
Goosebumps spread across her skin, as an enormous boy with fire-red hair walked over. Expecting a snarky comment watch yourself, idiot or something of the like, Rin braced for impact. Yet none came. Instead, what was portrayed was a simple friendly gesture. A bar of chocolate quickly switching hands, together with a smile. Now that the two boys were intermingled, at least for a while, the tiny girl took her chance to escape the situation. Beginning to walk, in a hurried pace, she seemingly just vanished into the crowd of students travelling towards Yuuei. When everyone was taller than her, when everyone else had features that stood out, especially those with mutations, she truly was just an invisible spectre among the other students...
As such, the first day at Yuuei began for Rin.. Hopefully, it would be the start of a positive change in her life. Lord knew that she could use it... [Exit]

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings Did I act weird? Or did I scare her? Maybe I did something wrong?
Those were the questions popping into Ryuu's mind while looking at the girl, She seemed a little unconfortable not saying anything more after Ryuu got up while holding her hand, a touch that her was quick to interrupt as soon as the boy was standing on his own two feet.
Things were already starting to look weird. Not being that accustomed to talk to people, Ryuusei just nodded his head a little bit - a sign of "I'm leaving now" - before putting his earphones back on and grabbing his bag' strap with his right hand. If the girl didn't want to talk, the same feeling would be retributed by the introverted teen.
Before being able to turn his back to the girl or put his earphones on and adjust his backpack, he felt something on his chest. It touched him softly, but instinctively Ryuu was quick to grab it before falling. A chocolate bar was the object he was now holding.
"Hey, you dropped this, too. Heads up!"
The cheerful but, paradoxically, grumpy voice was quick to leave the scene. It was a boy with fluffy and spiky brown hair and orange eyes who gave him the chocolate. However, he didn't bother to stay for long, leaving as soon as possible and not giving the opportunity for Ryuu to thank him. Watching him fade into the crowd, he also noticed that the girl who helped him up was also already walking to class. She probably took Ryuu's distraction with the chocolate bar to leave. A wise decision, he thought. He would've probably did the same.
Still standing in the same place, Ryuusei used his left hand to put his earphones on and his right one to open the chocolate bar he had just been given. While doing so, a cold breeze passed by. The way that the temperature dropped for a few seconds was noticeable due to the contrast with the hot weather. Looking to his side, it seemed like it came from a taned blue-haired kid that was happily making his way into the Yuuei main building.
Interesting, he thought about the boys apparent ability to make the temperature drop. It was something that Ryuu aprreciated: afterall, he hated the summer, but loved cold weather.
Taking a bite of the chocolate bar, he started to walk once more, heading to his designated classroom.
With his shoe tied, hopefully he wouldn't fall again,

Notes: Chocolate bar tasted very good. Ryuu understands why Yoru carries them! Words: 418.

For several, plausible reasons, the boy was now not feeling lonely, but watched. Way too watched. From everywhere, he could feel the judging eyes of people who all caught him peeking up the skits of the taller girls, his body shivering from fear and nerves. He hated to be judged by everyone around him, to the point where he sped walk even further, his arms crossed. Once inside, he laid back against one of the lockers for a second, his body slowly dragging itself down to sit down, a shaky breath coming out of him. He was already liking this situation as he changed shoes, moving his feet around once he had put them on. He slowly got back up, looking at the doors as students kept flooding in. He felt like the ones who had stared at him were about to come back were returning, leading him to leave off and hide for a while, with a noticeable spring to his step. But Maximilian wouldn't be taken down so easily like this. No. Maximilian would recover from the shame and improve, to become someone who cares not at all about anyone's opinion and live his way the way he wishes to: doing heroism, fanboying over anime and perving on the hottest girls. - NEW BEGINNINGS - " I'm finding clarity in kerosene " Jasmine sighed; so much was going on at the same time, yet it wasn't quite the events she had been used to. As opposed to watching her back 24/7, being careful of where she slept, where or what she ate, etc., she was now in a completely new setting with people she knew nothing about. At least in NYC she knew the type of people that were around her. This place was a mystery. A complete unknown that tickled the back of her head with worry. She felt as though she could relax, but at the same time shouldn't. It was a peculiar feeling.
She took out her phone and switched the song. The day before she had been looking up Japanese music and had found something to her tastes. A rock/metal/visual kei/whatever band that had undergone a rather big change from what they used to be. The first video she'd seen of them almost made her want to vomit, honestly. But now that she listened to more of their latest music, she found that it was extremely enjoyable. The vocalist's voice was fucking amazing.
Switching the song out, Jasmine hummed with a small smile on her face, feeling the slow, deep strums of a bass guitar easing her nerves a little. Perhaps this day wasn't going to completely turn to shit from the get-go. She wondered what kind of class she was going to be put in and with what kind of people. Hopefully it wouldn't turn out into a gang of weirdos or something. Then again considering the fact that all of them would have quirks, she wouldn't be all that surprised.
Pocketing her phone, she went inside the school. Whatever the case may be, she considered it a new beginning. A new type of adventure after having gotten out of her previous living hell. Though she swore she'd come back. Eventually, after getting this hero license thing and proving herself capable and stronger than she was now, she'd go back and clean the streets up. One explosion at a time.

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell It was time for the first class and things were very different. There was an entrance ceremony that Nyke had to attend. It was very different than what she was used to. In the private schools that she was enrolled in, the entrance ceremony was a less grand affair. Most of the time, the students didn't show up. There was no real respect for the staff or school in the minds of the rich kids that were there. This included Nyke. She cared little for what was going on. However, Yuuei was very different. Not just because it was a high school, but because it was the first of its kind. A school dedicated to teaching the first generation of professional heroes. It was a prestige and dream for a lot of people and Nyke was living it. Only three classes worth of students were going to make it into the course and Nyke was one of them. A special recommendation from her father helped her in being picked among the many applicants for the school.
There was no doubt that her father wanted to do business with the school, but only time would tell how that turned out. What was important now was that she sat through this ceremony and see just how things were going to turn out for her. She was dressed in her new uniform, which wasn't a new thing for her. They were pretty common practice in the schools she attended, so she didn't mind wearing them. As far as her wardrobe went, Nyke was used to having it picked out for her. Admittedly, the skirts were a little short, but given her height, it wasn't an issue. The problem she did have, however, were the seats. Even though Nyke was small, her quirk made her very heavy. When she sat down for the ceremony, she could feel and hear the seat creak and strain under her weight. She hoped that future accommodations for her schooling prepared better than this seat did but at least it was still intact.
Before the ceremony was an interesting deal for her. The ride over to the school was filled with sweet words from her father. The rode int he back of a luxurious black car as their chauffeur taxied them to the school. He spoke of how he was going to miss her while she was at school and how he was going to make sure to reserve days off so they could spend time together. He was going to be watching the school carefully and helping any way that he could. And as sweet as that sounded, Nyke knew what he really meant with it all. The idea of her being at school was a nice release from the time she spent with him and a sort of sanctuary for her. But most importantly of all, it was her way of choosing her own path. This was something she wanted to do for herself and she had the determination to do just that.
It was time for her to ascend from her hell. @tag | 516 | --- Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
