This thread is going to be experimental, with potentially a lot of people, and therefore have slightly different rules to a normal thread. Rather than a specific posting order, you're allowed to post once every twenty-four real-life hours, provided any other person has posted inbetween. The thread will also last a maximum of three weeks for this reason! Hopefully it plays out wonderfully!~ The first performance will be done by my own character. After which anyone else is able to go on stage as they see fit. Please try to keep y our stage visit to two posts maximum!! WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy It was the first Honey Honey event that Rin had been partaking in. Of course, the raven haired female was aware that there were occasional events of different kinds. Gaming conventions, comic cons and, of course, music nights. This time, the establishment had arranged an event for anyone gifted in music, to have a chance to play on a stage. They had rented larger locales right across the street from the café. A warehouse, refurbished with all the things required for a music event. Comfortable couches scattered across the corners of the warehouse. In the center, starting from right in front of the stage and spreading across a wide space,, was a wooden dance floor. It was spacious enough for dancing, even if the guest numbers went higher than anticipated. On the same side as the stage, was a small stand, where visitors could order drinks. Provided they could convince the barkeep, perhaps even those slightly underage could have a bit of alcohol. Otherwise, the wide array of soft drinks could interest anyone! Should the dancing and the crowd be too much, the Honey Honey café proper, just across the street, remained open, for a more relaxed environment. This meant that people were freely able to venture between the café and the music venue. There was room for, roughly estimated, a two-hundred people in the venue, while the café could house the regular thirty or so guests. The stage itself was a simple rectangle at the far end from the entrance. It was wide enough to hold an entire band, while still providing enough space to move about. Several instruments were already prepared and available, hooked up appropriately. Drums, bass, guitar, microphone, piano, keyboard, violin. There was even the possibility to hook up a laptop for the more DJ-type visitors, if any should be wanting show off their electronic music. Currently, the laptop of Ayame - the current manager of the Honey Honey café, was hooked up. It was simple old tunes from almost forgotten times. Music that was quiet enough to not oppress anyone, yet loud enough to get the message, that this was a music gathering across.
All of the maids had been called in for duty. Whenever there were these larger events going on, every single hand was neccessary. The regular staff from the maid café were all there and accounted for. Ayame Hayashi, the general manager of the café. Rin Kurama, the junior manager. Kumiko Junko, regular maid. Sakura Iyasha, regular maid. Finally, there was Heichi Gitanma, regular maid. In addition to the regular staff, several other maid's had been hired from different cafés, just so they'd be enough maids to please such a large crowd. Though, like every other event at the café, the maids were, to some extent, partaking in the festives. For this event, the one that had been chosen to put forth something, was none other than Rin. After closing hours, the maids had been taking turns, showing off what little musical talent that they had. Rin had been chosen, purely because at least your voice doesn't sound that bad. It meant, that once people were beginning to flock to, she would have to perform the opening performance. This fact alone had been causing quite the trouble for the raven haired female. Only in recent times had Rin sang for anyone else. Even then, it was at most a couple of individuals at a time. Never ever in her wildest dreams had she imagined herself singing in front of a crowd.
The girl's outfit was also something she'd not normally wear. A long, silken white dress, with a black belt strapped around her waist, keeping the dress in check. The cut at her neck, deep enough to reveal the top of the girl's cleavage. If moving around too much, the white bra could barely be seen underneath. Having a pair of slightly higher-then-average heels on her feet, she also felt significantly taller than normal. Outside of her comfort zone. In all honesty, Rin had wanted to flee the moment she had arrived... but there were several dear friends of her's that had promised to come support her. So, despite how unwilling she was, she promised herself to give it her very best attempt. Holding both arms around herself. The doors were opened, the event had started, and in less than fifteen minutes, Rin would be on stage for the 'welcome performance.' The girl's nerves were through the roof.

Music Night; Everyone's invited!
|
words: 305. tag: @username. notes: Time to party! Wooooo!!
|
Although Sean had heard about the Honey Honey Maid Café before, he never got to actually visit the place himself. He passed the café before on his way to the martial arts school he began visiting not too long ago. He was curious to see what the place was like. In addition to that, seeing a bunch of nice and cute maids serve delicious food sounded good to Sean. He had some free time at the moment as well as some money to spend, so he decided to check the place out.
Once Sean arrived at the Honey Honey Maid Café, he noticed a flier on one of the walls. He read the flier and saw that there was going to be a special music night at a nearby warehouse, and everyone was free to come join in. "A music night? Sounds like a blast!" Sean decided to head to the warehouse and join in on the fun. There was no way he would miss out on this!
Sean made his way into the warehouse. Once there, he was amazed at how many people showed up to have a good time. The place was packed! He wondered if he would see some familiar faces among the crowd. Sean hoped that he'd get to see a friend or two. After all, the only thing better than partying was partying with friends. Feeling thirsty at the moment, Sean made his way to a small stand where drinks were being served. After waiting in the small line, Sean ordered some water. After getting a cup and paying for it, drank it all. He then made his way to the front of the stage, moving past the crowd gathered there and getting as close as possible.
He couldn't wait to see the performance. It was going to be awesome!

Akio walked out of the changing room he was provided, he'd taken a job for the Music Night the Honey Honey Maid Cafe was putting on after coming across the job advertisement. It was a simple job, he just had to assist the eventgoers with parking. For his uniform he was provided with a neon green vest that read "Event Staff" on the back, the rest of his outfit was his own, just a plain white shirt, black jeans and black and white sneakers with plain white socks. He started waving through the guests and providing directions when needed. Hopefully I'll be able to go in and enjoy myself later on tonight, I mean, surely I'll have a break at somepoint during the night right? he questioned himself as he continued to guide people with their parking. How much am I even paid for this again? I can't remember, hopefully it'll be worth it, maybe I'll use the money to get a new game or something? Or I could use it on an arcade trip? Well, I'll figure that out when the time comes he thought to himself as the crowd of people started thinning out a bit I wonder if I'll get to see anybody from UA here? or maybe I could meet some new people?

Honey Honey had already grown on Maria during her first visit to the cafe. However, she had only become more and more fond of the place with each subsequent visit. Meeting up with Rin was still her main reason for visiting, but she wasn't going to belittle the establishment and say that it didn't have charm all on its own as well. This visit would prove that more so than any other before Maria imagined. The cafe had organized a sort of open doors music event with anyone being free to perform. Maria dressed for the occasion, but once she arrived at the scene she felt like she had almost overdone it a bit. She wore a tight, backless dress which practically hugged her figure, reaching all the way down to her ankles. She had considered styling her hair, but simply left it straight in the end. Although it was her usual look and nothing special, Maria felt it suited her the best. Besides the dress she only had her high-heeled sandals with her, a small purse and a violin case. It had been ages since she played, in fact she hadn't touched the instrument ever since she ran away from home. Chances were she was rusty, but hopefully it wouldn't turn out to be too bad. When she was getting ready she had considered forgoing mundane clothing and instead planned to wrap herself in her quirk, effectively recreating the dress she was currently wearing, but with the aesthetic of a vivid night-sky.
While she was certain that it would have attracted quite a bit of attention, that was also a problem in its own right. Wearing effectively nothing was pretty daring to begin with, and of course Maria felt that wearing something under her quirk at that point would be cheating. But there was also the matter of openly displaying her quirk to a crowd of unknown people. It amused her somewhat to think about it, what would be worse, exposing her skin or exposing her quirk to the gathered mass of people. Given her profession, she really couldn't risk drawing too much attention to herself, especially not with something that could be used as a tool to unmask her. It was a shame, but she'd have to postpone wearing her starry-night dress a while longer, until a more favorable opportunity arose.
Maria wasn't surprised to see the cafe already filling up. It wasn't often that she went to "social gatherings" of this sort, but she still had a pretty good idea of what happened when you opened your doors to the public and promised them a good time. With her villain career and the hectic lifestyle that came with it, Maria had come to appreciate a more secluded and lonely form of hedonism, renting out expensive hotel suits or enjoying some fine dining at a fine restaurant, private table included. Still, she was glad to enjoy a change of pace, especially if it also meant she could see Rin perform. She was tempted to go get herself a drink, relax for a moment. After all she intended to put on a performance as well that night. However, the fact that the event was seemingly on the cusp of starting made her reconsider. Rin would be up first. Maria hoped to either find her before her performance and wish her luck or at the very least have her attention focused on the stage when it started.
She set off, further into the cafe in search of her friend.

Hello, my name is human And I came down from the stars Walking in, Jaz didn't really know what she was expecting. It was the first time she had entered an establishment like this one. Yeah there were a couple of them back in New York but they had never really attracted her fancy. They didn't now, either. To her, the whole idea of a maid cafe seemed... stupid, if she was to be painfully honest. But, well. If her roommate had found a job there, she couldn't really say that outright. And if her roommate had gotten a chance at a live performance, Jaz couldn't really miss it either, could she?
Dressed in what felt like her natural outfit, that being denim short shorts, a hoodie and boots, Jaz stayed behind the gathering crowd near the exit of the cafe. Her hood was over her head as she leaned against the wall, hands in her hoodies' two front pockets. Her lilac eyes watched the people gathering, a small smile on her face at the thought of Rin having an audience. Then again, the blonde wasn't exactly sure how the little Raven was even going to handle this. The conversation they had before had been... an amusing one. Worrying, sure - the girl had stage fright like no other. But at the same time rather endearing.
As she had promised, she was here. Now it was time to get the show on the road.
"Kill 'em dead, Rinnie," she said, more so to herself than anyone else as she bent and raised her leg, planting her boot against the wall behind her as she leaned even further back, trying to mask herself from anyone from the crowd who could potentially recognize her. She wasn't there for them and she didn't want them to see her. She was here for her and her alone. wordS: 301

How unusual for her to go to Tokyo when it didn't involve returning home. However, today was different, today she had come to Tokyo on an invitation, one she couldn't possibly refuse. As she walked along the streets Elise opened her phone again, looking at the message on the screen: Rin Kurama, the very first friend she had made at U.A, and the second one on her tiny list of friends had invited her over to a music night event. While her singing wasn't bad, Elise didn't consider herself a talent, and she was more interested to hear Rin singing anyway.
That and to be invited by someone? It made her a little bit happy... Arriving at the establishment Elise blinked in confusion, looking back at the address and found her cheeks flushing up lightly. "R-Rin-chan... you forgot to mention that this is a maid café" A café full of cute girls wearing maid outfits? Was this going to be some incredible difficult 'try to resist the temptations' event? Taking a deep breath the girl put her phone away and looked around, spotting the music hall. "Phew, close call..." she whispered to reassure herself and entered the building.
A surprisingly decent crowd had gathered, to the point Elise had to carefully navigate along the rows of people as she found herself almost pushed to the back by all the enthusiasm. But then she saw 'her' and found everything else fade away. The girl's outfit was one she had not even once been able to imagine on her, the long silken white dress as soft and pure as the girl wearing it, the black belt that was nicely strapped around her waist. But that cut at her neck, that was deep enough to reveal the top of her cleavage made Elise's cheeks briefly flush up, a hand raised to her face to cover her eyes. R-Rin that's too bold... T-They will likely see your bra if you bounce around. It also didn't help that she needed to think of a certain soft sensation that lingered in her hands from a past event. "... You really made a critical hit..." the girl mumbled under her breath, feeling as if a cannonball struck her heart.
Shaking her head she was just about to bring her hands to her mouth and shouted loud "Show them what you got Rin-chan!" Yet at the same time another voice reached her ears. "That voice..." Turning toward the hooded figure she exclaimed in disbelief. "It's the Bear-Wrangler!" a soft gasp followed as she leaned forwards to peek under the hood, grinning at her. "I didn't knew you were also a friend of Rin-chan~ It's been a while Jasmine-chan~ Did the medicine help?"
She hummed softly before bringing a hand to her chin and pondered softly. "Rinnie is a really cute nickname~ better than the one I had in mind~ Then again, I still get flustered when I try to call her anything else than Rin-chan~" What a curious reunion for sure...

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin, seeing all the people pouring into the venue, immediately felt like running away. Heart pounding in her chest, the raven haired girl was grabbed by one of the maids, Ayame. Ayame, having worked with Rin in the café for a few months now, knew full well that Rin wasn't adept at dealing with this much attention. So, there was time for a little peptalk, as the minutes counted down. Behind the curtain to the stage, by the stairs leading up, Ayame attempted to speak to Rin. The girl, however, was completely lost. Eyes spinning in their sockets, the shock of actually doing this was horrifying her. Especially because so many people were coming in. Trying to latch onto the words that her friends had told her, Rin swallowed. You've survived worse. You survived the bomb defusal versus Nick. You survived the Circus. This is just singing, you'll be fine. You'll be fine. Rin constantly told herself, her own voice echoing inside her mind. Stepping up onto the stage, Rin was waiting behind the little stage's curtain, trying to fight the ever mounting sense of dread. Ayame passed Rin, carefully brushing the curtain aside so she could get out onto the stage. The maid beamed energetically, grabbing the microphone to get things started. "Weeeeeeelcome ladies and gentlemen, to the Honey Honey Music Night!~" Ayame was clearly used to the attention by now. Striking cute poses, utilizing her female charm, she had been with Honey Honey for quite a while now. This was by no means the first time she had been getting the evening started of. Nor was it the first time she had to convince a shy little bird to get out there and perform. "To all of the hopeful musicians, please draw a number by the stage! This number indicates when it's your turn to perform~" Ayame gestured to the number dispenser by the stage. Flashing in red light, hanging from the ceiling above the stage, was a small box indicating which number was currently performing. "We'll start with one of our very own! Performing here to get the show start. So please, give her a round of applause!~" The curtain was pulled aside. Rin could swear the world around her lost all colors, everything turning so incredibly silent. The spotlights from above the scene, all pointed towards the center, where Ayame had fastened the microphone back onto it's stand. Swallowing once, Rin was timidly stepping forwards. There was a mix of cheering and strange silence from the crowd. Perhaps the girl's tension was something the crowd as a whole could feel. Rin's sapphire blue eyes searched for something to find comfort in. Anything at all. The first person who Rin laid eyes on, was Sean Mizushima. Standing there, Rin could practically see the excitement on his face. For a short moment, Rin had an amusing thought. At least if people boo me off stage, he can offer me something to wash myself with afterwards.. The borderline depressive borderline joking thought offered her some comfort. The sensation of being alone slowly shattering, as the music began playing behind her. The time of reckoning was coming closer.Eyes continuing across the crowd, Rin found Maria Tsukimori. In a short moment, Rin was surprised. The girl should've probably expected the ex-villain to show up, as soon as she had learned what was going to go down, but it just... hadn't registered with her. That smile, a silent vow of support. With every person she recognized, the sense of dread disappeared. With every second they came closer to the first line of lyrics, the more Rin felt pressed into another mindset. I cannot run from this, so, may as well try my best? Before finding Ember's eyes, she found her blonde hair. Jasmine, despite being within a crowd, no matter how hidden, would always stand out with that sunlight lion's mane. Rin knew that Jasmine wasn't usually participating in social events. Even things arranged by Rin herself for the school, Jasmine had been avoiding. Birthday party, festival dinner... Yet, there the lionness was, almost emanating a cold aura. An aura that was directed at Rin alone. Knock em dead. In the crowd, moving over to Jasmine, was Elise-chan. The tiny nurse which Rin had gotten to know very extensively in a very short amount of time. In the infirmary, they had spent so many hours together. In the medical training lessons, they sat side by side studying. It was one of those friendships that, without putting any effort or thought into it, simply worked. Kindred spirits, perhaps? In this moment, Rin almost teared up. So many had come here, offering Rin their support. They knew how scared she was. Yet from each of them, Rin felt the same comforting sentiment. You can do this. Letting them down was not an option. The time had come. Rin's fingers grabbed the microphone, pulling it closer to herself. The first sentence left her lips, projected out over the crowd. In that moment, in that short frame, Rin could feel it changing. The shackles of fear that kept her held down, preventing her from standing in the spotlight, cracked. CLANK. With several eyes going wide; The shock from the crowd washed over her. Perhaps they had expected her to be more average. Perhaps they had expected her to be bad, due to her timid, shy nature. The reaction?.. CLANK. Rin was gaining confidence, as not a single negative reaction reached her on the stage. With confidence, the depths of her voice also began shining through. Eyes darting between the faces in the crowd that she remembered... Rin was feeling... determination? I want to show them. I want to give them a good time. Thank you, thank you so much!! CLANK. The shackles broke off of her wrists. The fear gave way. Passion was poured into the singing. Rin, who had been mostly inanimate on the stage, as if frozen, began slowly moving around. How someone so timid and sheltered had any skill performing, may have been shocking to those that knew her..."Isse no se de fumikomu gōrain bokura wa
Nanimo nanimo mada shiranu
Issen koete furikaeruto mō nai bokura wa
Nanimo nanimo mada shiranu"

Music Night; Everyone's invited!
|
words: 301. tag: @username. notes: *insert cheering and applause noises here*

Sean was eager for the performance to begin, and he wasn't the only one. The entire crowd was excited. Right then, a maid appeared from behind the curtain. She announced the start to the Honey Honey Music Night. Sean wondered who would be starting the performance. As the curtains were pulled, he got his answer. However, it was someone Sean was not expecting to see at all. It was Rin.
Sean was blown away. Wait, Rin was going to perform? Rin works in the maid café? And holy crap, what was she wearing? Rin looked amazing! Hot damn! Sean didn't see this coming at all, but it made him even more excited. He couldn't wait to hear the class president sing. He knew that she was going to be awesome. He believed in her, and when she made her amazing performance, he knew that the crowd would love it.
Then, Rin began singing. Holy shit! Her voice was even more amazing than Sean had expected it to be. It was as though a calm, soothing, and beautiful wave was crashing against the crowd, cleansing their ears and purifying the air itself. However, the main thing Sean noticed was the confidence behind her voice. Rin always seemed so shy and timid, but it was as though a powerful beast that was shackled had broken free and was let loose.
Once Rin had finished singing, Sean was among the first and the loudest to clap. More applause joined with his immediately. The crowd had loved it. Looking toward Rin, Sean yelled, "Wooo! That was awesome!" The people closest to him cheered in agreement. Rin had done well. As much as Sean was looking forward to the rest of the performances, he doubted that any would come close to being as awesome as Rin's.

Hello, my name is human And I came down from the stars Casually waiting around until the show would start, Jaz had begun humming a tune to herself, trying to drown out the noises around her. So many people were here to cheer for Rin, the blonde lioness couldn't help feeling happy for her little Raven. Hell, even a little proud. The first time they had met, Rin had practically no one. And now... now there were so many people here to watch her shine. It was mind boggling. But at the same time... it was nice.
And yet when a rather familiar voice sounded next to her, Jaz outright cringed. Oh no. Fuck. It's her, isn't it? Turning to the side, Jaz could barely suppress the grimace at the sight of the other girl. What was her name...? El... Ela? Elsa? Ellie? ...Something like that. Whatever. It wasn't like Jaz really had anything personal against her. she just really couldn't handle her type well. This uppity nature of shoving her nose into other peoples' business was one that irritated the blonde. Was she grateful for the medicine way before? Sure. But past that? Please just leave me alone.
Shit. She was trying to start a conversation. Why did she have to talk? Why was her life like this? Why did people always find the need to bother her when all she wanted to do was her own thing? Lifting her head, Jaz stared at the ceiling thoughtfully, chewing on the inside of her cheek as she tried to figure out how to handle this situation. Glancing at the girl sideways, Jaz just shrugged, "Listen, as much as I'd absolutely love to shoot the shit with you - no, I actually wouldn't - I'd much rather save my ears from the impending doom of ear cancer and just listen to Rin's song, yeah?" She said, her eyes narrowing a little at the 'flustered' part of her words, "So how about you run along," she added, making a 'walking' motion with two of her fingers, "and brighten up both of our days, yeah? Sweet. Thanks. Bye~" she finished, her last words coming out in a sing-song voice-like manner.
With that being settled, regardless if the girl actually took her advice or not, Jaz refocused on the stage just as Rin came out. Her prior annoyance seeming to just disappear into thin air, a small smile crept up Jasmine's face as she and her roommate temporarily made eye contact, the blonde sending a wink her way. I'm here, she thought, positive that, in one way or another, Rin could hear her thoughts. I'm with you. Always.
As the song began, Jaz's head had begun bobbing to the rhythm, her eyes watching Rin keenly, inspecting every single movement the girl made. It was the same song she sung for her back in the dorm room, yet this time it held so much more emotion. The fair-haired warrior could sense it - the weight and pressure being lifted off of Rin's shoulders. It felt like a blessing, in all honesty. To see her in her own zone like this made the blonde's smile only widen. She could hear it; the seemingly inaudible sound of Rin's chain's breaking. It was a feeling unlike any other. The little Raven had finally freed its wings and was ready to take flight, and the wild Lioness couldn't have been happier. wordS: 560

I often feel like a butterfly with broken wings "Music Night at Honey Honey Maid Cafe!" was what was written on a small piece of paper, together with the time at which the event was taking place and the location. The handwritting was one that Ryuu had already got used to: Rinkusu Kurama's.
The girl had invited him to go to the event, one that was dedicated to the one's who had some kind of musical talent or aspiration. Ryuusei didn't particularly like the idea of playing the piano in front of people that he didn't know well or at all - he never played the piano in front of strangers, being that the only ones who ever heard him play were his family and Rin. He took a long time to decide on whether he should go or not, pacing around his home like he was making the most important decision of his life... and maybe, without even knowing, he was. His parents weren't home, so it wasn't like they could help him like before. After sometime contemplating, he decided:
I'm going.
He was already late, but whatever - showing late is better than not showing at all, so he thought. Letting his hair hang loose and with his black earring on, he dressed quickly: a light coat, red in color, over a button-up white shirt; jeans and white and red shoes. Taking a quick look at the mirror - something that he only ever did when he knew he was going to see Rin - he ran out.
Running towards the place - knowing that he would arrive a little late - Ryuu's mind kept thinking about the last few days. He had told Rin that he loved her and, despite the date having not finished in something concrete, it left Ryuusei happy, happy in a way he hadn't felt in a long time. And now, a few days later, Rin invited him to this event. Could this mean something? Was this the day that he and Rin would start... a relationship? Thinking about it even made his face turn a little red. Under that cold mask and voice was really a shy, innocent little kid.
He arrived at the cafe quicker than what he had anticipated. Hell, he wasn't even sweating or that much tired - maybe all that running and walking were starting to pay off. His injuries from his fight with Jasmine were also basically healed, being that, after that run, the only thing hurting a bit was his left foot, which was still surrounded by an extra thin cast.
When he entered the place, Rin was finishing singing. Ryuusei only catched the last moments, but it was enough for him to be put in awe. He had already heard her sing back at the Q-Zone, but hearing it as an audience member... it gave off a different kind of magic. He didn't want to ruin that beautiful moment, so, before being noticed, he touched his clothes and skin and turned invisible. WIth God's Alibi activated, he maneuvered himself carefully around the crowd and picked up a piece of paper from the box. When he did so, Rin's performed finished, the lights went back on and, like on cue, Ryuu started to breathe again and became visible. Looking at his number and at the screen, he noted that he was next to perform.
I'm really doing this..., he thought. However, looking at Rin made him sure that everything was going to go alright.
As he walked up the stair to the stage, Rin made her way down. Crossing paths, Ryuu looked her in the eyes and gave her the softest yet biggest smile he had to offer. It was sincere, from the heart and no words were needed. It could be a simple "hello" but there was a big chance that the smile was, without Ryuu wanting it, a "goodbye".
Oblivious to what was now happening, Ryuusei sat in front of the piano that had been brought onto the stage. He was now waiting for the lights to focus on him and getting a signal that he could start playing. He knew that Rin was there watching, so he wasn't nervous at all.
What he didn't know was that the song he was about to play could only have one or two keys...

How curious that emotions could change so quickly. At first she could feel such joy at hearing Rin sing, the happiness in her voice and the excitement of her performance, and perhaps it was because of that the girl found herself almost instinctively attempting to start a conversation with Jasmine, who she had perceived as a friend of Rin. However, it was in the wake of the initial attempt to talk to her... that everything went to hell.
The crude nature of the blond-haired lioness her words stung like a dagger, to the point she found instinctively a hand being raised to her chest. A distant memory nestled in the back of her thoughts surfaced, one of a burgundy-haired girl seated by herself in the classroom. How long had it been? How long had it been since she tried? How often did she put up that act? She had forgotten already the answer to those questions, but the way Jasmine responded to her attempt to make a friendly greeting? She couldn't help but briefly find the scenery replaced by that classroom, of the students who looked at her with mixtures of annoyance and some even disgust.
She tried so hard, really tried so hard to be friendly, to be cheerful and helpful to others but it was never enough. Even now after she went to the school of her precious childhood friend after she had finally made a friend there and felt like her efforts were not in vain. Even here... she couldn't escape the past. "Fine... I... guess I'll go then." She answered with a smile, although it clearly looked on the brink of breaking as she turned around at the same time Rin's performance had stopped. In the wake of the event she had almost seemed oblivious to it, the way that Jasmine had dismissed her efforts all too familiar, all too painful and as Rin left the stage and approached their direction she briefly stopped. To Rin it might have been a surprising sight, that painful look in the girl's face, the sorrow and fear in her eyes, that smile that had broken and the tears that had gathered.
She looked at Rin, the hand on her chest still clutched tightly as she realized a bittersweet thought: I don't want her to see me like this. Rin was the last, no the only person she couldn't allow to see her like this, so full of sorrow but even worse: on the point of having that facade of her break. A soft sob followed as she darted to the doorway, walking right past Rin as she wanted to hide and cry, an instinctive reflex from her childhood, she didn't want Rin to realize she was a pretender, and yet this night made her get haunted by a question: Did she truly not change from the person she was back then? Were things truly still the same?
She wanted to leave, even if she had some very special things she wanted to tell someone today.

As the crowd started to dwindle significantly one of the security workers told him he could go inside and enjoy himself until he was needed again Ahhh a chance to relax and listen to some nice music, get something to drink after his work so far He walked inside to see the last minute of the opening performance Wow, she has an amazing voice, almost....angelic he thought to himself as he started to walk inside further, as he walked inside he felt someone bump into him "Oh sorry about that I didn't see you the-" he started to say but as he looked down he realised that she was crying "Hey, are you okay? Did something happen to you?" he said as he put his hands on her shoulders to try and comfort her, she didn't appear to be injured. "Can you tell me what happened? Did someone hurt you or do anything to you?" he asked, after seeing her in this state he just couldn't leave this alone, he needed to find out what happened, and if there was anyway he could help "How about we go sit down somewhere and you can tell me what happened? How about we go to the cafe and we can get you something to drink as well, how does that sound?" he asked her smiling gently

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy As the singing progressed, the expression and atmosphere that radiated from the crowd, was overwhelming the girl on stage. The sheer power of a pleased crowd was enough to almost push Rin backwards, like standing at the helm of a ship in a storm. It felt less and less like Rin was up there to give them an experience, and more and more like they were there to give one to her. Their cheering, their smiles, it was constantly pulling more and more effort out of the raven haired female, regardless of how much Rin attempted to resist. Their cheering made her want to give it her everything. Eventually, Rin reached her absolute maximum. Straining her voice, she gave off the performance of a lifetime, relinquishing her doubts and fears in this moment. Forgetting them. The first time Rin truly showed her own colors, to an audience of this magnitude, and it was already an intoxicating feeling. To expose herself so openly, her emotions felt in every word, yet being embraced by their cheers and smiles. Cutting loose, Rin was letting everything go. Enough so, that when the final verse was sang, she was breathing heavily.. The music came to an end. The applause did not. That is when all the self-awareness came rushing back, as Rin timidly bowed on stage. "T-thank you, e-everyone! Please, enjoy your evening here at Honey Honey!! There's more music coming right up, so stay tuned" As if having won a massive victory, Rin lifted her hand into the air, giving the crowd a broad smile, before quietly hopping down the stairs. Within her chest, her heart was pounding something fierce. On her way down the staircase to the stage, Rin's eyes fell upon Ryuusei. Eyes widening, in her initial scan of the room, she hadn't seen him. Yet, there he was. Chuckling to herself, there truly were times where he could seem invisible. Raising both hands in front of her own chest, she offered him a thumbs up. "I'll be listening, make it awesome!" There was an energetic tone to Rin's voice, despite how short of breath she seemed to be. This experience had potentially changed her life in a significant way. Before heading straight towards the back, Rin made a short turn to go greet Sean at the front. "Glad to see you're enjoying yourself, Sean-san! After I've gone speak to the others, I'll sort you a drink on the house, okay?" This singing experience, plus other events unfolding just over the horizon, were certain to have an enormous impact on Rin's evening. Moving through the crowd as best as she could, Rin barely managed to catch up. "Elise-chan, wait!.. Don't leave!" Rin called out sharply, her voice cutting through the crowd like a knife through butter. Though, just as Elise reacted to Rin's voice, Akio intercepted her. Not exactly knowing who the boy was, Rin tilted her head to the side. From his demeanor, gentle way of speaking, Rin figured he was trying to calm her down. "...Well, I'll be in here if you need someone to talk to, okay?.." Rin's voice was emanating kindness. It was as if the girl was still singing. Every tone she spoke had silvery bells and windchimes... but strong enough to overpower the background noise. Rin was speaking with confidence. Even if that situation put a slight dampener on her mood, Rin was certain it was something she could take up with Elise-chan when the burgundy female felt like talking about it. Rin also could not leave the music area, given this was part of her job...Stepping in front of Jasmine, the blonde lionness roommate, Rin was once again beaming like a small sun. There was far too many things for Rin to be happy about having just experienced, to accept a frown on her lips. Radiating warmth, the smile was indiciative of how close she was to breaking out laughing happily. Still, the happiness remained contained for a little while longer. Rin was fairly sure that if she shared this much happiness with anyone, they'd implode on the spot. "Sooo... How did I do?~... Did I make you proud?"

Post by Jasmine Noir on Aug 6, 2018 5:21:10 GMT -4
Hello, my name is human And I came down from the stars When the other girl had left, Jaz had caught a short glimpse of how she looked after taking the verbal abuse the blonde had thrown her way. She looked absolutely devastated. Honestly, the blonde lioness really didn't expect a reaction like that. She had half expected shots to be fired back, a snarky remark, one of her forcefully upbeat replies which Jaz didn't believe for a second... she really couldn't tell. But the moment her composure broke, the seventeen-year-old knew: the way she acted was nothing more than a facade. She'd seen people do it so many times. Heck, she herself had practiced putting a fake smile up in front of a mirror too many times to count. This... pissed her off.
Rolling her eyes, Jasmine rubbed her temples. Good job, Jaz, she thought to herself dismissively, not even five minutes in an already somebody's crying. You're a piece of work.
Then again, even if she felt a little bad about it, she really couldn't muster up the empathy to care. Her week had been a fucking shit show in more ways than one what with the fighting ring, the Ryuu fight, Rin's date, her post-traumatic stress disorder flaring up... emotionally exhausted was one way to describe how Jasmine was feeling. She didn't have the emotional capacity to give a shit about someone who put up a facade so easily broken it felt like all they wanted to do was cause a scene and beg for attention. Sure, she'd apologize. Eventually. But definitely not now.
Especially not when Rin was approaching her with that contagious smile of hers.
Watching her little Raven, Jaz felt how the happiness she exuded, radiating powerfully, actually carried over a warmth that had seeped into her as well, making her smile. How could she answer her question? She couldn't really formulate a sentence appropriate enough to be an answer even close to what she felt she should've said. The blonde was happy for her roommate beyond measure, and the last time this type of feeling attacked her Jasmine's response hadn't been verbal. It had been a kiss. A kiss manifested out of sheer happiness and gratitude. Gratitude that Rin was there, with her, celebrating her birthday together with her, and allowing her to celebrate Rin's own birthday with her as well. Then there was what happened after her training, how they both fell asleep in the infirmary. The words Rin spoke. Did Jasmine ever answer them? In her heart, she did.
But that wasn't enough anymore.
It was time to do something stupid.
It was stupid... but fucking hell did she want to do it.
Her pride no longer let her run away, the mishmash of feelings which she had finally begun piecing together becoming clearer with each passing hour. Rin's song was like the final piece. The glue that put everything together in her own head. She couldn't wait. She didn't even fucking care. Hate her or love her, this was Jasmine Noir. A disastrous, self-destructive mess who had more love in her heart than she knew what to do with.
"Let me tell everyone exactly how proud I am," Jaz said, a cheeky grin on her face as she took Rin's hand and hastily walked her back over the stage. She would take no complaints from the girl as she walked along the crowd, gently pushing people aside as she led her little Raven back up the steps of the stage. For a very brief moment, she froze; Ryuusei. He was there, getting ready to play. Fuck. She wouldn't let second thoughts cloud her head. Not this time. If this was a poker game, she was now all in. And fucking hell, she wouldn't be Ember if she didn't follow through.
There was no hesitation in her movements as she approached Ryuusei and tapped his shoulder. The second the male would turn to her, she'd shake her head. She felt for the guy. She really did. But she was too selfish to give a damn.
Stepping up to the microphone, Jaz wrapped an arm around Rin's side, pulling her closer to herself. She cleared her throat, "Yo. My name's Jaz. No, I'm not here to perform or sing. You already had the performance which stole the night. What I'm here to do is say something that I've wanted to say for a while but was too stupid to admit. You don't care? That's fine. Bear with me a little anyway."
"This girl right here? Who sung her heart out for you? This precious, amazing little thing with a voice of a titan?" Turning to Rin, she kept her now-crimson eyes on the dark-haired girl, her trademark grin, which Rin was likely used to by this point, firmly intact, "I love her. She's my world. And I'm here tonight to prove that," having finished her sentence, she completely ignored the reactions of the people gathered. It didn't matter. All of it vanished from her mind. All the wild lioness saw in front of her was her little Raven. And, as emotions overflowed, so did she approach. Leaning down, Jaz cupped Rin's cheek gently, her other arm firmly on her waist.
Slowly, almost deliberately, she approached... until they finally connected. Jasmine's lips touched Rin's in a similar fashion they had when they were celebrating their birthdays, yet this... was different. This was with intent. This was with a love that was quite different from what Rin was used to seeing from the blonde.
Parting after a few brief moments, Jaz pushed her forehead against Rin's, a faint tint of pink on the warrior's cheeks, "What you told me? Back at the infirmary?" She asked, the words heard by Rin and Rin alone, "I feel the same way. I don't want this to disappear. Ever. That's why, Rin... that's why, right here, right now, I'm making you mine." wordS: 982 || Note: Posting a few hours early cause I'll be at work the whole day

Post by Elise Von Eisenberg on Aug 6, 2018 5:38:34 GMT -4
Perhaps it had been because of how great the turmoil in her thoughts and heart was, but she had been oblivious of the fact she was approaching someone in her effort to flee from the music hall, bumping lightly into the young man. Staggering lightly her smaller and physically untrained body led her to tumble onto her backside, looking at him as she sobbed softly. The young man's concerned tone and the way he tried to gently soothe and calm her down reminded her of something, and perhaps it was that reminder that made her look up at him, her hands reaching for his arms, clinging lightly against them. It was easy to notice how fragile and vulnerable she felt right now, just how much she needed her usual beacon of light to save her from this despair that shrouded her world like a blanket of darkness.
"I-I..." she started in a panic, looking into Akio's eyes as she whispered meekly. "Rin... Tetsu... save me..." Why, why did she call out to them? Perhaps it was because of the past? In the past, Tetsuko always saved her from troubles, whenever she was sad or hurt Tetsuko would be there by her side. Recently she came to realize that Rin was quite similar in that aspect, having saved the girl when she was in her drunken stupor, caring so tenderly for her.
It was because of that, that she had decided to try to come here tonight to properly come to understand this feeling. And then it finally came, that voice, that voice that was like a ray of sunshine that burnt away the suffocating darkness. "R-Rin-chan..." She turned toward Rin, her eyes still moist with tears but to her surprise, it seemed Rin thought Akio was all she needed to be saved, how... wrong had she been? "Don't go... Rin..." She whispered feebly, but it was likely only Akio could hear her.
"I..." She looked at Akio, her hands still clinging lightly to him as she pleaded in that same fragile and shaky voice from before. "Please help me... I... I got to go to her... I got to answer her feelings from that day... Got to tell Rin... that I love..." She paused, a soft sob following as she continued. "But I'm scared... 'she' is there... I can't go there by myself... Please... I got to tell her before it's too late and she'll leave me behind... Before she pushed me away like Jasmine did"
Fortunately for her, today would be a day she wouldn't be left behind, at least not entirely as Akio reassuringly held her hand and helped her barge through the crowd. How odd it must have looked, the small and fragile girl, looking so terrified as they approached Rin, her only means of keeping the resolve being the hand that was holding hers, knowing she wasn't braving this fear by herself, and the sight of Rin's back.
She finally reached her as Jasmine and Rin reached the stage, yet 'she' was there also, she couldn't even look at her yet, a hand hesitatingly reaching for the back of Rin's attire, her fingers trying to gently grasp a light hold of her, but as they already reached it she was too late... Rin slipped out of her grasp even while she cried out softly. "P-Please don't leave Rin..."
But then she saw it, her gaze lifting from Rin's back as she realized everything. The words that followed, the confession but above all: Jasmine had kissed Rin. It felt like something had exploded into her, the earlier efforts to calm her down fading away as she felt the tears flowing more freely once more. "Why... Why Rin?!" She began, a sob following as she continued. "Didn't you say you loved me also?" Her hands shook lightly, her grip on Akio's hand loosing a little as she took a step forward, a step that felt heavier than any weight she had ever tried to lift. If Rin had not turned to face her she would likely have at least felt the pain in the girl's voice. "I came here because of that!" She tried to hesitatingly reach for the stage but by then the terror of the past had already caught up to her, she was frozen in place as she looked at her. "Please don't leave me behind... don't go away... don't push me aside and abandon me like the others!" each word, each cry of despair and sorrow made her fall deeper into this mess, but she had to brave it, she had to properly convey her feelings.
"Because even more than loving you... than wanting to make you smile at your brightest I... I need you Rin!" She sobbed once more, trying her best to control the tears flowing down her cheeks to stop, but with little to no avail. "I don't want to let go... I don't want to lose you to them! To those who reject and push me aside!" Why... why was she suffering so much? "I don't want to lose the one I love so much..."
She couldn't do this... she could approach the stage, not after that confident confession, not after... looking at Jasmine reminded her just how much of a pretender Elise Von Eisenberg was. She wasn't an upbeat and uppity girl who never felt hurt and suffered... no, Elise Von Eisenberg was truly a mess of emotions, and right now that mess was at its finest. It was no wonder people rejected her, but right now? right now she was too worried about losing Rin. A hand squeezed Akio's tightly, as if the frightened girl was looking at him either for help, or to take her away from this nightmare, for depending on how things would develop it truly would be a nightmare for the young Eisenberg.
