Bug Meets Demon [Shimato and Sato]

The Assistant, that was her mantle, but none would ever know of it. After all, her own name was lost, and replaced with her own chosen alias. On paper, she did not exist, but had other names. She had several paychecks, several identities. It was not by Sato's means to hide or protect her, it was simply coincidence that she had also become one of his personal attendants. He had taken a liking to her especially, knowing what power she harnessed, only to refuse to use it. That was the order of which that man lived by. All quirk users, were less than human. All quirk-born who did not need to use their gift, were short of gods. And with that, she was a shining example of the world he wanted. And with her own powers, he would subject her to aide him in simple means, such as disposal, or like today, retrieval. She had to go pick up and take a man to his main office. The towering building just outside the border of Tokyo. With it, his endless garage of toys for his business, as well as pleasure. He seldom drove his own vehicles, but it did not mean he did not collect them.

Kasey was one of the few who were allowed to drive such machines, and she had also been the only one to wreck one and still live to tell the tale. No one knew what reason he had to keep her, but Kasey had learned, she had remembered all of the pain she had to endure. There were many trials, and none of which she would speak of.



He called it Godzilla. A monstrous name, for something Kasey found tame. Her own attire clashed with the all-black-everything theme of the vehicle. Her shirt was red, a dark cherry red. A matte black tie with glossy block spots was under her collar, with a vest to match. Her hands were covered with black gloves, both of which had their own patterns. Her left had stripes that seemed to be all of different pieces of fabric, while the left held floral patterns. But both matched the gloss-matte of her tie and vest. Her pants were a off-gray, something with a slight blue hue to it, and her shoes were nothing but fabric wrapped around her feet. It was just how she preferred it. It was sewn scraps of old clothing meant to be discorded, but in her case it was bandages and footwear. And it had been worn in more than just her feet.

The rumble of the engine seemed to play a sound different than the rest of the spotty traffic. There was few cars in her way to the destination. But soon she would arrive to see the neon sign. She looked at the piece of paper that was taped to the dashboard.

"Well, I guess this is the place." the girl thought to herself.

"And I guess that is the man who Sato wants." The demon within her would ponder.

She would pull up slowly, the black chrome wheels rotating slowly, acting almost like a mirror for the world around them to be viewed from them. Kasey would roll down the passenger window of the coupe.

"You're the Bug, right?" she would call out to him.

He would close in, leaning on the roof of the car. Kasey knew it wasn't that big of a deal, after all it wasn't even her car, but still, it was something she needed to clean later. "Please don't lean on him." she would tell him, before he could even begin to speak. He would then confirm he was the one, even going as far to talk about his business. She really didn't care, but as long as he got the job done, he would be fine.

She would unlock the door allowing him to slip inside of the car. The door panels were reupholstered with both fine leather as well as silk. It didn't fit the car at all, but Sato insisted all of the best for his fleet, even if only a few people ever sat in any of them, if not even a few of them. The black cloth of the Recaro seats would hold the both of them firmly, all the while supporting their body. But both seats held onto the standard stock seat belts, rather than the supposed harnesses. In the backseat were two duffle bags, as they would drive off, the sounds of metal tapping and hitting each other could be hear from within. Someone could only assume they were tools, probably for a car, but could have been for anything. As soon as he took his seat and shut the door, she would shift the car into gear and begin to roll off, slowly almost letting the car breathe for once.

"You assume he has only one assistant." she would go on to inform him, "I'm just his secretary. I fetch both the people and the tools he needs. And on occasion clean the messes left behind." She would tell him, a lie following her words. "I don't have time to sit in that silly chatroom to talk." She would reach out to the black nob between them, the small brown painted branches and pink flowers that decorated it hidden under her hand. It was almost a perfect size for her, and seemed to fit her hand perfectly.

"We're heading to the Ketsujo Corp main office building. There you are to tend to a few damaged vehicles. Don't worry about body damage, as we have a painter who will come when your task is done." she would tell him, calmly, more reserved than her chatroom persona had ever allowed her to preform. "We can either pay you by your task, or we can hire you as a full employee, to which you will gain all of the benefits. That would be the matter we should discuss before we arrive there."

She was set for business, and business alone. She had begun to work away from Sato since the meeting with her brother. She had her own plans to watch over Japan, to clean it up. And it was something much different than anyone else could ever dream of.

She was going to become a nightmare.

He didn't seem to grasp or understand what she wanted to say. Whatever the case, she would see to it that the other staff would confuse him enough to only come back and support her claim. He'd cross his legs and she continued to drive. If it was something that made his comfortable, then so be it, but he could have easily as adjusted his seat. It was, what it was.

". .. Don't patronize me." she would speak to his words, as if she wasn't fit for her job. She was a driver, a deliverer of things. Bodies, almost specifically, but in this case, for once it was someone who was still breathing. And well, still completely intact. He'd wink at her, and almost instantly, a look of disgust fell on her face, only to be dismissed a moment later. "I just said I'm not the one you spoke with... whatever."

He'd comment about the tools, and well, hit the nail on the head with his guess. "It's not that we don't want you bringing your own tools, it's simply that Mr. Sato buys the best for his fleet. It would be a waste to bring your own tools, when you can use his. Anything you need, he can get." She would glace over with a smile, as she continued, "Save money that way, break his tools not yours. But that won't matter with how much he'd actually pay you."

He'd then think over his employment, only to ask what she thought about it. Shifting into gear, she wondered what she would have done, if she had a second chance. She had worked for Ketsujo Corp for years, but it wasn't until recently that she had been under his watch so closely.

"Sato is a man who will put you in a place you belong." she would tell him, not having to think long about it. "He's not necessarily a nice man, but he's an opportunist. If it benefits him, he'll do it." She would pause, only to think about what could be a factor to him. What really mattered? "I work seven days a week at all of my jobs. Ketsujo Corp isn't my only occupation. That being said, if you have some skills you want to put to use, Mr. Sato will most definitely place you appropriately, to fixing cars, or breaking skulls, there's a place for that." She would continue to drive, not at all fast, but cruising. She was heading to the business with ease, weaving in and out of traffic, never speeding, but never at all stopping or slowing down.

There was no reason for her to slow down.

Apologies never went far. Even if the words exited your mouth, it was not that often that they held the weight that they were meant to. You can't fix every mistake with just a few words. Following it, seemed like another jab at her, but she didn't mind nor care. He was someone who spoke freely, and with it, came brutal judgement. Or perhaps poor perception. Maybe he would be someone to talk to on the regular, should he stick around.

Downshifting, she floored the pedal, only to again get back into correct gear. She would exit the freeway to enter some of the back roads. It was faster, even if a bit sketchy, but it wasn't like this wasn't where she picked up most of Sato's more delightful employees. As she did so, he would take out his phone, only to check it, perhaps for the time before slipping it back into his pocket.

"Thanks." Kasey would say in reply to his comment, finding all of it a bit more curious as it went on. "Most of the vehicles are his own emergency vehicles for the hospital, while some of his personal vehicles sit around and get neglected. Probably would be a good idea to take them on a test drive every so often to make sure they still work." She would continue to drive down the roads, making turns here and there before re-entering the main roads to the city. The towering office and research facility could be seen in the distance, even though it was still minutes away. "but I'd put your priority to the getaway vehicles. Usually something breaks every night with them. I can only quick fix so many things on them to make sure they can get us around the next run."

Crime. She was innocent in her eyes, but she had assisted in allowing criminals to flee so easy. The only way she lived with that, was killing a few of her own men, every night. Not everyone would make it back home, but those that did, always got paid. Who and how they died, was always different, but the bodies were the same state. They were ever ever recovered.

Perhaps she spent more than her fair share of time in the vehicles, often driving them to work at the school. Maybe it was flaunting her connections, or trying to make herself appear more than she was. But maybe she just happened to be in the car at the time, and instead of going back to drop it off, she had decided to take it with her. Maybe there was some work to be done in them.

"Then I hope you're ready to make nearly every street car prepared to do a rally race." she would say to him jokingly. If he was going to make sure that she didn't need to do quick fixes with all of the chaos they put up with for the cars, then he needed to bullet proof them as well.

"Don't flatter yourself." Kasey would say to him, "Big Sister screens everyone, selects who she deems worthy of her playthings. If you passed Big Sister's filter, then the big man knows you're good enough for him. " She would explain the thought process behind it, knowing very well the amount of people hired in this manner. Few of them lived to this day, however.

It wasn't long after his question that they had pulled into a garage. Driving down a ramp and into a lower level of the building, the two of them, with the Skyline under them, would pull into a gated area. As they passed it would close behind them. Kasey would continue to drive a bit further down, only to show the many emergency vehicles, and the few cars that remained here. A full fleet of ambulances remained parked, with only a single one missing. All of them branded with different names and company labels on them, but all of them bore the same insignia within. They were all Ketsujo Corp vehicles. As Kasey would park, she would have a few vehicles to her left and right. A total of six cars now remained in the building. To her right, a Mclaren F1, Rx7 Spirit, and a Supra. To her left was a 2010 Lancia Stratos, and an Aventador with the front of it pushed in. The Lamborghini was on a lift, but had still touched the ground. The radiator support was most likely pushed in as well, but the frame would appear to be alright. All of the vehicles, all held the same, identical black paint and bronze wheels.

"Well now, we're here." she would say, unscrewing the knob from the car and putting it into her vest pocket. They had just arrived to their destination.

While everything was done at Sato's request, it was Kasey who seemed to give the actual order. Sato simply needed and wanted things done, Kasey was the one who got to decide how, and by who. Sometimes, even she was the one who got to decide what. Tonight, was another one of those moments where she was in charge. Tonight, the cars were going to get a full makeover, even if the big man didn't want it to happen.

"You only find that chatroom, if she decides you find that chatroom." Kasey would tell the pink haired man, almost missing her own color. "For better or worse, we're all together now. The question of which of the three sides you'll fall into." While oblivious to most of the common life of people, she understood the underworld dealings perhaps a bit too well. Thundershock always used his alias and held the mafia the was in charge of things. Amadeus was the arms and weapons for all that was needed, arming the government possibly, that part was unknown to her. Sato was the one who did all of the dirty work to make sure they were all invisible. Paying off the right people and puppeteering the others. If he wasn't pulling the strings, then he was the one who oversaw the one that did. Without each other, they would fall, but together, they were just as dangerous.

Sato Ketsujo was the sole owner of the Ketsujo Corporation. The funded hospitals and other small businesses, often buying up small chain businesses as their own. They ran markets and stocked whoever would sell to them, and marked up the price. If it could be sold, Ketsujo was most likely the one selling it, or at least profiting off of it. With his own work, there was a million scams and frauds within his walls. Some planted himself, while others did their own. It wasn't rare to see that one of his banks or businesses were robbed only to be fully insured later. The person who robbed him would always be himself, doubling his income at all of the right times. It was convenient, perhaps too much so. The greatest accolade of the company, however, was funding based on merchandise for the popular and top hero Darkshine. Someone who was none other than his own daughter.

As he would hop out of the car in a rather speedy manner, Kasey would take her time to unscrew the knob she had been using. As he danced around them, awing what was his new occupation, she would calmly exit the vehicle, taking her item in her hand. She would shut the door behind her, leaving the key in the center console of the car as she looked from over to car to meet the man's face again.

"There's cameras here. Anyone that walks past, in or out that isn't on a gurney is an employee. Don't worry about it." She would tell him, "Feel free to do what you need to do, pop the hood, use the lift, take the tools. He'll be watching. After all, you're going to get paid by the job, not by the hour. The sooner you finish the sooner he'll pay you." She would say, looking over to the other cars. While she enjoyed the ride there, she did not intend to go back home in the same Skyline. Taking a slow stroll over to the Rx7 and the Supra, she would kneel between them to peek inside of them. In most, if not all of the vehicles, she had left her own little collection. She was not only one of the few that took any of the cars out, but someone who had used nearly everything in his fleet. If that did not speak of his trust in her, or her importance, then nothing else could. In almost every car was the same figure made of bone, as well as a medical kit. Bandages made from the cloth left behind from her tailoring, as well as other things Ketsujo Coro produced. She was not one to waste any materials, no matter how trivial.

"If you need anything, feel free to head that way," She would lift her hand to point over in the direction of the ambulances, only to show a few sets of double doors. All of them steel and reinforced. "Bathroom, food, whatever, the receptionists in there should be able to direct you around the office for whatever you need." ducking down to peek at the cars again, she decided to take the Mazda. "Anything you need from me before I head on my way?" she would ask, one final time.

Without batting an eye, she would extend her own hand to his. It wasn't the strangest thing she watched by far, nor the oddest. She was going to leave on a good note, even if she was neutral about the entire situation. After all, everyone had their quirks.

"if you see me again, it is either for very good, or very bad news." She would tell him, "Maybe you could have been picked for one of the big jobs, or that we've fired you. Never know. I don't. Usually I get a text on what to do, after I arrive." she would admit, Sato being the mysterious one. Sometimes she was even ordered to kill on the spot, something she was desensitized to doing. Everyone was expendable, unless you were one of his few chosen suits. Kasey understood that part of his orders, having been at the top of them all, granted her an unusual spot for someone who killed so many, even without the order.

There was not much to say to him other than what was already discussed. Terms would be refined with him and Sato directly, as well as the parts and pieces that would be requested. Kasey was only the face and hand that went and said what he wanted her to repeat. She was his personal puppet, and in most cases, his double. She did the heavy lifting so he never had to. As Shimato would take his leave, and Kasey would enter the car. Getting into the seat, she would reach over to the knob of the car, only to screw on her own personal one. She would press the button to start the engine, knowing that the few that had their keys replaced, were the ones Sato had taken a personal liking to. And the ones he enjoyed, Kasey enjoyed even more.

As the car started, the sound of the rotary engine giving off a few back fires, she would slowly begin to reverse out of the spot to exit the garage. As she pulled out, she passed by the working man, watching him switch back and forth between forms. Before she would even let out her own curious laugh, she would press the throttle and exit the garage, just as she came.

There was other matters to tend to.
