Well… this was all a fine predicament.
Thanks to the worsening of her quirk’s more debilitating side effects Sonya had disappeared from the picture, and just when she was at the apex of bringing everything together. She’d been lettings whispers of some grand party, raids, basically wanting to make sure that villains as a whole had this grand sense of organization they could all fall back on rather than relying solely on their own personal organizations. Intimidating criminals like Thunder could rely solely on the grunts below them sure, and the psychopaths like the Painter certainly did best on their own with small groups, but for other criminals like herself, perhaps even Eduardo… they needed something more reliable, a web of connections…
Well. If Sonya was going to be incapacitated for a while, she’d at least make sure her work continued. She didn’t consider herself a leader in any way but… this was meant to be more a collective council of like, advantage taking minds. She didn’t have to worry about being the face of it all, especially with her quirk, and especially not with what she had planned. Just… a simple gathering of business potential business partners. Ignoring the criminal undertones… it should all be fine, quite fine indeed.
Knowing a lot about the darker side of the Asta building due to her work with Sonya in the past before her illness struck her so heavily, Marceline had managed to procure use of the underground levels for a meeting of sorts. She’d tried to be subtle, but there was only so subtle you could be when your main method of communicating was basically a borderline open chatroom that any random villain seemed to be dropped into the moment they became notable. Anyway- She’d left an open invitation there to anyone who might have a mind for the criminal side of business, and… if he could be trusted, she’d asked the head of Asta’s RnD department, Axel, to pass on an invitation to a brief associate of her own, Carlson furlong… it would be interesting to see if he showed to say the least.
It was a short moment or so before she expected even the most punctual of the criminals to show up, and she was pacing back and forth debating how she wanted to approach this. She was had showed her true face to a lot of criminals. But… it was becoming risky, and as bold as she was she should be utilizing her quirk a lot more than she currently was…
Yes. She should use her disguises. She raised a hand over her head, whipped it in a small circle to generate her halo, and it descended over her body. Before the tendrels of energy started to change her into her disguise she was still hesitant as to what disguise she should take… but she decided to meet the situation half way. She could use her blonde, spunky disguise, or her feline ‘Cat’ disguise. The former was less known and had no connection to Marceline, while she’d pretended to several other people that Cat had ties to her, be it as a secretary type or a criminal associate… she’d go with Cat. It had more risk to her personally since it was still an identity she’d tied to herself in some way, but even that level of connection should offer some trust to those in attendance, and she was sure some people who might show up would have dealt with her before too.
With freshly silvered hair, a slightly more curvaceous figure, and the feline features of ears and sharper eyes, a light bit of fang work, Marceline had took on her disguise of cat. Her outfit was still the same though fitted more to her new disguise, a casual sleeveless shirt and jeans, not wanting this to seem toooo formal given the nature of those who would be in attendance.
With the meeting place arranged, and everyone knowing discrete ways they could enter the Asta building and enter the lower levels… Marcie sat back at the end of the rounded table in the middle of the office space, and waited.

Hakisura walked through the halls with a nervous glance. He had no idea where he was, and hadn't the slightest clue where he was going. He was simply following the orders of the protector, and never really knew where he was being taken or why. He sniffled and rubbed his arms, he was cold, and he barefeet hurt from walking on the hard ground. 'Do we really have to be here? I'm tired.' He thought, telekinetically talking to his protector. 'Yes you fool. Quit whining and keep walking.' It replied, it's grovel voice flooding his mind. Hakisura grimaced and stopped complaining, continually marching forward. It wasn't long before he came upon a door, and the protector spoke again. 'Walk inside.' It said plainly, it's order once again ringing through his mind like a gong. Hakisura rubbed his ears in pain, and pushed open the doors. Inside, he saw a single person sitting at a rounded table, well, if you could call her a person. The person was appeared to just be a curvaceous woman, but boasted a set of cat ears and fangs that made him think she was more than just a normal person. 'How rude.' The protector chuckled, amused at the slight fear Hakisura felt at the cat person. He shuffled towards a seat, unsure what to say or do. He folded his fingers on the table and tried not to look at the person sitting across from him, his eyes scanning the room. 'Speak.' The protector suddenly said, making Hakisura jump in his seat. He cleared his throat. "Well um, hello." He said quietly, his eyes avoiding hers.

⟡ bastardly ⧰ glitter⟡Not every day you see a little proposition to unite those who lived shady lifestyles and all that...and with Thunder stepping back a bit due to things seemed to leave himself and Mami Noriko behind to sort shit out. Fan-fucking-tastic, he was going to do his best to keep it from falling apart...less for himself and more for the cartoony mafia chick since he knew how important the Kobayashi family was to her. Networking, he was already trying to do some ground work with that so this was a golden opportunity to get this shit going on his end and see if there was any way to garner some mutual benefit out of all this. Hell...he harbored intent to see if he could prevent the rug from being pulled from beneath Thunder while he was gone...keep his seat nice and warm, so to speak. Having tipped off his partner in crime, the Bonnie to his Clyde, the Clockwork Killer, he wanted to make damn sure she knew he wasn't trying to ram a knife in her back since that was the last thing he wanted to pull on her. He liked to hope she knew that. Granted, he hoped she would show up since he was still dusting off the rust when it came to fucking people up when they stepped out of line with him. At least he had some acidic glitter up his fluffy as hell sleeves, all four of em'...he was registered as a mutant on the books so good luck to anyone knowing what he was all about unless he let em' know. For now, he had no intention of stirring the shit pot with anyone, especially not with someone he was going to be working with on the more legit side of things. The tall as hell four armed man decked out like a freaking pimp, which was damn fitting considering he helped manage the boys and girls at the club. Funny how one of the most well-to-do businesses was linked up to villainy, though...always struck him as funny when the managed their money better than the heroes. Stilettos upon his boots clicked and clacked upon the floor as he got closer to the meeting place, adjusting his obnoxiously tall hat and habitually ducked his way through doors, lifting his head with a wide, dagger ridden grin before guiding himself toward his seat...hopefully having Mami take a seat next to him if she felt like showing up. "Hello, hello...looks like we got a little group forming here after all~" The boy stuck out a bit...like he was almost misplaced, lost, so you know what this guy with bright red eyes and four arms did? The top set of arms rest their clawed hands upon the table and the lower set was brought up to cup his own pointy chin and he playfully spoke up, "First time, kid?" Hey, he always wanted to say that and he wasn't going to let that opportunity go either! Even adding a bemused little chuckle before allowing his eyes to drift around to see who else was going to show up. |

Hmm... She looked at her nails, one was a little chipped and it annoyed the crap out of her. An invitation had reached her and although she had been working her butt off the last couple of days as she could not get any day off, it had been tiring to be two people at once. But this was a mischief thing and she should go. She tried to find her file to get rid of that little crook on her nails and maybe she should paint them. Where villains ever going to be on time? It felt a very strange thing to do, gathering that is, but she was rather interested. Who would show up, faces she might not know which would bring some new information on the block when it came to villains and she was rather interested to see if the business would rise. She was very aware that there must be other informants out there but she had done a pretty good job in the past, you couldn't be reigning on your own and shining on your own parade the whole time. No, she had to find jobs and soon, soon she would get there. She would have something prepared, she was just not yet sure what she would focus her attention on, but her garden needed to be sown before Winter was coming and so she would be able to reap it when the new year would come.
Finally done so, she fixed her nail with a little bit of nail polish, not going all out, just finding something suttle that would not take too much attention. She went to call a taxi or well a sort of taxi, she ordered the one who she knew she could trust, other taxi drivers might be yapping all the time, she could not have that. She would have gone with her own motorcycle had she not had the intention to wear a pretty white dress. With her brown, caramel coloured hair fixed in a bun, with two strains of hair framing her face, her lips bright red and only one of her brown eyes visible, she was ready. The white mask hid most of her face, if not basically all but her right eye and her lips, easier to talk and ready to be sharing food or most likely drinks if those were to be offered. The mask had a flower on the side of her left eye and just some little more all around, it is what was necessary if your alias was Daffodil.
Her white dress was elegant, maybe a tad extravaganza but she would manage. Being dropped off a street away she made her way to the right entrance. She wasn't sure if she had been to this meeting spot before but she had been to ASTA on several occasions. It was strange that the invitation did not come from Sonya and Narcissa was wondering where her friend and rival was. Maybe someone else would care to inform her, she wasn't going to believe it until she heard it from the right source that was for sure. Just when she was about to turn to the left on the pavement and go to the building, a car stopped and she couldn't help but clench her curiosity by just standing and waiting to see who it might be. That's when the Italian boss stepped out and her lips curled into a small smile. "It's been a while." Last she saw Giovanni was when she had been helping him train and it had been fun surely, it had also been rather taxing on the both of them and made her question herself on a lot of things. Maybe that was however just the period, it wasn't every day that you kill your former best friend or partner. She looked around him, waiting for someone else to step out of the car too.
That clearly wasn't happening though and she looked at Giovanni, she swore Antonio was trying to set up some individual contracts, shouldn't he be here or was that a secret to the captain over here that she should not share and ask. "You are alone?" She asked surprised maybe a little, if he was so unconvinced about his own power or better lack of it, why not show up with your bodyguard?

He has no idea what happened to Thunder as he had gone radio silent. Either way that made Giovanni smile with content, knowing the yakuza man was gone. It just meant he could spead his influence outside of Musutafu. His mafia network will spread soon like poison and he will have good business. As for Sonya or more known as Ishtar, well he has no idea what happened to her as well. It was clear she did not call upon this meeting, but the fact that it was this location had made him a curious man. His influence was spreading and he was content as he was doing that right under the heroes noses. Sometimes even infront of their noses and they would be none the wiser. He never showed his villanous face in the crime scene. He was a man who organized crime and stood in his office. He was a beaurocratic villain, because he did money related crimes as opposed to violent crimes for violence sake. Racketeering, Extortion, Intimidation, Loan Sharking, Smuggling, llegal Gambling, Money Laundering, Counterfeiting, Firearm Trafficting and well, being a Mafia Boss who organized all those deeds, how did that not make him a beauratic villain. He was not at the scenes of the crime, he was safely home organizing. If any murdering happened, he doesnt know and his hands were washed. Just like now, they are washed as he is not involved with whatever happened to the spotlight grabbers. He took interest in this meeting and thus prepared for it accordingly. If this was a meeting of fellow business villains, he was to be there as he was the number 1 guy in business, well according to himself he was. He dressed up properly and went to his limo. He was a wealthy man and he was gonna show it by travelling in style. He lit up his cigar and enjoyed every second of it. Yes, he loves Nimue dearly, but man did he love smoking as well. And it was a buzzkill when she'd forbid it. But he'd have to endure it. He loves smoking and yes he is addicted to it, and it was better that he liked smoking and not something like drugs, even though he was close to trying that a few times in his life.
The ride ended as he arrived at his destination, he got out and saw Narcissa who greeted him that it has been a while "Si, indeed it has. Pleasure to see you once again, Daffodil" he still had a slight difficulty with her name as he'd love to just say Narciso, which was itallian for daffodil. But considering Narcissa's real name. He had to avoid that.
Giovanni noticed Narcissa look around. He knew who she was expecting. Narcissa asked if he was alone. Giovanni answered "Not quite" and moved out of the way to reveal his bodyguard. It wasnt Antonio, not this time. Besides, he has more people, not just Antonio. He had to give someone else a chance too after all

"Some new clients?"
"That's the idea. I'll be back later."
----
Here's something that many people don't consider when applying themselves as a lawyer: Most of the time, your clients? They're guilty. Just plain out guilty for whatever minor reason the accusation put out on the table. Missing payments, distrubed property, assault, embezzling, suing, killing, murdering, slowly shoving a pencil up a person's eye; all that and many more reasons are why people are usually guilty when given a defense. But that's not the main objective of a defense attorney, despite how many eager-eyed up-and-coming want to protect the innocent or whatever. It's a shame, but its a fact that you'll have to accept when entering this field. Sometimes you'll get lucky and get an for-honest innocent, but uh….that's a long shot. In some way, they did do the crime that they were charged for
But then again, where's the fun in just taking in innocent clients? This idea is a tad inappropriate to consider out loud in public because, well, you usually don't. Even if the court system does not consider the defense as well as the prosecution, it's still quite the thrill to fight against an uphill battle. And yet there's nothing grander than being able to legally prove that someone who has definitely broken into a person's house is innocent and clear of all charges. The expressions on their faces are marvelous, even if on the off chance you were, you know, blind. But at the very least you can hear it. Hearing their bafflement, their enjoyment, all of that noise filling the air is quite a nice award. That and the monetary award, but that's not really a big thing in the long run.
Recently though, the amount of guilty parties have been lackluster in quality. Simple hack jobs and bland contract mishaps have been the rage as of late for the firm. It's quite dull. Really dull. Where's the risk? Where was the client who walks in, can proudly look you in the eye and exclaim that yes, they did embezzle that hospital, and yes, they did expect you to defend them. Where was that golden client? All these others are just simple charlentons messing about, fucking around and wasting themselves until they rot on the streets or in a containing cell. It's pathetic and hilarious at the same time.
An absentminded glaze through a chat gave Tachibana a potential solution for this trend. A meeting? Potential clients to get buddy-buddy with? Potential people to melt their faces off if it goes wrong? How can she say no? At best she'll be able to make connections with whoever is stupid enough to get caught easily. At another best, she can find people she can immediately kill when she's bored enough. It's a win-win. So she heads out to the place, but not before preparing herself. First thing's first: No phone. She doesn't want any word of this meeting to come out in the open. Sure this would be fine if she went in all souped up on acid and pain, with her melting flesh gracing the meeting floor, but for some a first impression is important for a lawyer. She can't afford to be tracked back to this location just in case. She'll just steal a phone first. That should be fine. Second thing: Business cards. A fresh new set of them to hand out. A plain container with new business cards would be enough to entice these unruly figures. The quality of the cardstock must be seen to be believed. Only an idiot would claim these to be trash. And finally, some red pens and some spare blank papers files. If they were gonna retain any info, better to do it in person and in written format. The red pen is...well...you know. You knoooooow.
After observing the directions and instructions through a stolen phone and laughing at a minor typo (not that she's not guilty of that as well), Libra changes out of her hobbyist garb and prepares herself for this meeting. It's a risk to outright show yourself to others but hey, what's a little dirt on ya if you can also get a little dirt on them through the wonderful world of legislation. Proper dress shirt and suit, and her shaded frames. No rotting flesh smell on her. Tachibana the lawyer is ready to go.
Her shaded frame glasses hid her partially activated quirk on her eyes. She has to be able to see, obviously. Upon exiting the car park and entering the room, a lot of people were already there. A lot of weird looking people. Weird-ass looking cat, kid, and ClownmanTM. Could have sworn she saw some other two fellows, but eh. Hmm, Several known and unknown criminals sitting together in an office space. While a lawyer walks in as well. What a weird figure, they would be thinking. The only reason why she would be here if it was through the chat, so she would be one of us, right? That's an easy assumption to make. Well, no matter, they'll talk it out soon enough. No need to start showing gray skin. Just stay normal.
Tachibana simply shuffles to a seat and sits down, placing a tray of business cards in front of her. "Hello. Pleasure to meet all of you here." she said in a normal tone, with a smile plastered on her face. Her glowing eyes slowly vibrating, being hidden away from the world by her shades.
Secretly, she hopes this all goes wrong just so she can have an excuse to slather acid on them. Sure it'll waste a suit but hey.

@ all y'all | ◀ | Prezioso fascio di gioia ❤ Despite the girl's typical playfulness and childishness, Ingrid knew when to be silly and when to be serious. Of course she knew how to be serious. The girl would not have made it very far in the mafia otherwise. And today, she was in serious mode. Her task was simple. Escort the Boss to some meeting, acting as his bodyguard. It was rare for Ingrid to be awarded this honor, as it was usually Il Consigliere who got to do that. So was the wire girl excited to get her chance to shine? Absolutely. But was she going to actually behave. Well duh!
Just gotta be on my best behavior. Oh, and keep an eye out in case there's anything interesting.
Ingrid's outfit was standard and simple business wear. A nice black suit with a white dress shirt underneath, a black tie, black dress skirt, black shoes, and black-rimmed glasses (not sunglasses though, Ingrid didn't want to look like a smug douche). In addition to that and the black purse she had on her, the girl had decided to try something different with her looks. Rather than bring a wig to hide her distinct hair color, she simply altered the wires that made up her hair, changing its color from its usual pale pink to dark brown. Similarly, Ingrid's eye color was altered, becoming brown rather than its usual magenta. Besides her hair and eyes, Ingrid looked basically the same. Not that she expected it to happen, but any chance to keep her civilian and villain personas as far apart as possible was one the girl would always take. Better safe than sorry.
The ride itself was uneventful, as Ingrid mostly just kept quiet. Normally, she'd open her mouth like a chatterbox, but the girl knew better than to risk annoying Il Capo by talking more than what was necessary. Ugh, I wish I could filter out that smell tho! Though she said nothing out loud, Ingrid wished that she did not have to deal with the horrid smell of smoking. Well, Il Capo was free to do whatever he wished. He is the boss, after all. That was the only reason Ingrid did her best to actually hide the fact that she wanted to cough and gag. I now know the next invention I wanna work on when I get home. Something to make it easier to breathe.
Upon arriving, Ingrid waited until Il Capo got out of the limo before getting out herself. It seemed someone was already there to talk to him. Ooh, Daffodil? She heard the boss speak. So this lady was Daffodil. She was the one Il Consigliere seemed to like on that chat. And wow, I can see why! Seeing Il Capo move out of the way to reveal her, Ingrid smiled cheerfully. "Hi!" She then bowed in that respectful way the Japanese did, because when in Rome, right? "So nice to meet you in person, Miss Daffodil! I'm In-Grid, but you know me in chat as Fili."
Naturally, there were others here. But Ingrid wasn't as interested in the others. Not yet, at least. Unless someone saw her and specifically wanted to talk to her for whatever reason, Ingrid would just leave the others be. After all, she was not here to mingle and party. She was a bodyguard, and thus needed to stay by Il Capo's side.

It had been a while since the Thing had happened as Kado had come to call it, and Sonya was absent for medical reasons or something like that... In her head, she understood the delay in the silver haired woman's response to the question she'd posed to her that night. Neither of them wanted to screw this up, or fuck the other one over... But all the same it still hurt to not know yet...
Maybe this meeting with Marcie and other "villains" would help her get her mind off of things, and a business orientated meeting would probably do the trick. She took her motorcycle, after donning her usual mask and cloaked attire to disguise herself from prying eyes, and made her way to the rendezvous location. The fact that Marcie had chosen to utilise an ASTA location irked Kado a little, mostly due to the blatancy of it all... Especially if a snooping Hero or legal authority caught wind of all this.
As she made her arrival, it seemed that there was already a gaggle of people gathered up on the scene, a couple of whom she recognised from Sonya's last get together party. Marcie was in her kitty cat getup, and she recognised the mask and style of Miss Daffodil. The rest however she did not recognise, and that concerned her. True this meeting was aimed at facilitating a connection of sorts between the villains who operated their own business operations... But it still gave her some concern that there were several new faces in the mix.
Kado made her way over towards Marcie, noting that it wasn't just kitty ears she was sporting this evening but an entire new "face" as it were. "Evening Cat, I hope your mistress is doing well." she said, a smirk in her voice as she addressed the woman, taking a guess as to the persona Marcie was sporting for the evening. Taking another look at the gathered ensemble as she sat down at the table, two individuals caught her attention. Both with different reasons for their concern.
One was a child-like figure who looked completely and utterly disheveled, and in need of some serious TLC. The other was the four armed mutant who blatantly looked like a pimp. The latter gave her concern due to her experiences with such individuals in Kabukicho and put her on guard, whilst the former made her wonder what kind of state they were in, mentally as well as physically.
Kado leaned forward a little to look towards the disheveled youth. "Are you alright dear? I'm Thurisaz by the way." she asked, introducing herself at the same time as she tried to gauge the boys state of being.
He definitely didn't appear to be a business type of person, so was potentially here on behalf of someone else. The question being who would send someone like this boy, and when did Kado have time in her schedule to go and give that person an education in how to treat their staff?
If nothing else, this meeting of minds was going to be an interesting one to say at the very least.

[attr="class","life"] ❝ life is full of little lies [attr="class","les"]X Ahhhh the fresh scent of potential. Apparently Sonya hadn't informed Kyoko of her deteriorating health, she announced to the public that she would be taking a leave of absence from Asta until further notice. How wonderful, kyoko hadn't seen this coming but it was a delightful surprise that now she didn't have to worry about Sonya potentially leaking her past to the public. Now only Katsuo knew and he was the only person she could truly count on as in her pocket. She was scrolling through her chats as usual and an interesting message caught her eye.A person by the name of Mystrem had published an open invitation to the villain chat, fun fun. She walked downstairs in her apartment building and knocked on Katsuo's door. "Yo, I'm going to meet some potential allies. Want to come in case you need to bust some heads?" she said not really looking up from her phone and blowing a bubble with the gum that was in her mouth. "I'm not sure if any bigwigs will be showing up so this could be a good chance for us to establish some more cred. Probably make them piss their pants too." she elaborated, if he chose not to she wouldn't stop him but it would help her feel a bit more confidant if he was there as insurance. They made their way over in a fancy black SUV Katsuo managed to get for them. He had asked her if he was allowed to beat the daylights out of someone if they got uppity to which Kyoko indulged. It was her promise to him after all that he'd get to challenge strong people when he desired so she was more than happy to fufill her end of the bargain. Kyoko wore her usual outfit she did villain business in. Her skin tight black suit with several usb ports and batteries and her black LED helmet similar to Eclipse's. After a few minutes of walking, Kyoko had made it to the predetermined location, she used her internal computer to confirm and looked over to Katsuo and nodded. While things on the inside were seemingly peaceful, kyoko surely would grab everyone's attention with her entrance. She nodded to Katsuo and he knew exactly what to do. After Katsuo opened the door for her, she walked in slowly, her face hidden behind her helmet. She looked around to identify the faces. Hmmm, she didnt really take note of many people there, a child, a moth looking man, another child who could use a hit of some mood boosters and co. Before waiting a few moments where she took off her helmet and revealed her face. She stayed quiet for a few moments before smiling at narcissa. "Daffodil dear! I didn't know you were coming!" she said as she walked over to her and embraced the woman "How are you? I havent had the chance to thank you yet for your help with locating that woman." she said as she smiled and placed both hands on the woman's shoulders and embraced her quickly. She wanted to establish that she KNEW people here, "I want you to meet my childhood friend." she said pointing over to the large piece of meet who probably had to duck under the door to make his way in. " Siege, this is daffodil, daffodil this is my best friend Siege." she said as she introduced the two, "Daffodil helped find...her. I'm sure she could also lend a hand with stuff your interested if needed" she said to establish they are indeed allies and there was no second meaning behind her words She let the two get acquainted before squinting over at the person who had been previously talking to NarcissaOh my was that...Ill capo? Narcissa knew him? Nice going girl. "My dear you didnt tell me you had such a famous friend." She said as she made her way over to him and did a little bow to the mafia man "Ill Capo correct?" she said "It's my pleasure we finally get to meet. I'm Oracle. Or I should say I go by the name of Malware now. You can use either, im not picky" She said as she made her way over to a chair that Katsuo had pulled out for her. She thanked him by giving him a small smile and sat in it as he pushed it in. She sighed and released all 4 of her whips to get comfy and placed her helmet on the table in front of her as the LED on it shut down.. "Well then, I didn't expect there to be children here. Im also glad we finally get to meet Libra." she said as she looked over Hakisura and then glanced over to the woman who could only fit the details she managed to piece together from the chat.. | [attr="class","goodness"] ✎ 0000 words |

Katsuo hadn't been all that keen on the idea of tonight and it had taken a little convincing on Kyoko's part to get them there. Initially he had seen it as a security risk. The invitation to the gathering itself had been sent via that strange chatroom Kyoko moderated and Katsuo usually made his thoughts on the chat in question known rather vocally. It was, by and large, full of insipid, vapid children who thought far too highly of themselves for Katsuo's taste. Nonetheless, Kyoko had a goal in attending and Katsuo would see to it that she could accomplish that. The fact that Kyoko had promised that if anyone attending got a little too big for their boots he would have free reign to teach them a lesson certainly didn't hurt.
He was dressed smartly, expensive white pants and a shirt and vest combo. Bands of gold rested on his large fingers and a prohibitively expensive platinum watched on his wrist. He had no intention showing up to such a meet in his gear, not that he would need it. There were more ways to project power and influence than Military Spec gear after all. Katsuo pulled up around the back of the Asta building in a black SUV, quickly getting out of the vehicle to open Kyoko's door. He led the way into the building itself and down to the sub levels. Kyoko had sent him the blueprints for the building earlier in the day, giving him ample opportunity to memorize the layout. He knew the quickest routes out of the underground warren should the night go sour. He had seen how ecstatic numerous people in the chatroom were about killing and maiming just for the fun of it so he wasn't leaving the night up to chance.
I didn't take long to reach the door that led into an office space if Katsuo remembered the plans correctly. Kyoko simply nodded in his direction and he knew all too well what she was looking for. Katsuo smiled and nodded back before taking one quick step forward before slamming a foot into the door just beside the handle. He eased off just enough to ensure that the door itself didn't fly off the hinges completely and possibly kill someone inside. Sure it would be hilarious and Katsuo would likely be laughing all night about it, but it would probably sour the evening for everyone else and make the whole venture a waste of time. Katsuo stepped aside for Kyoko to enter the room before following behind her closely. Instantly his gaze roamed around the open space, taking in everything he could see, his training too strong to ignore. Assess the space, identify possible hazards, plan their neutralization. The issue was everyone in the room could easily be considered a hazard in some form or another.
What he saw didn't exactly fill him with dread. The only standout in his eyes being the incredibly strange and obviously Mutant Type Quirker for no other reason than in Katsuo's significant experience threat assessing a Mutant Type was like trying to clip a cats claws, you just didn't and hoped things turned out for the best. Immediately Katsuo's attention was drawn to the young woman Kyoko was speaking to, the name spoken in greeting was one Katsuo recognized, Kyoko had mentioned her many times and extolled her helpfulness. Katsuo stepped forward as Kyoko introduced him, giving a soft smile and inclining his head ever so slightly. And if what Kyoko said was true and this Daffodil truly had been the one assisting on the intel gathering in regards to THAT woman, then it stood to reason that Katsuo himself might have use of her services in the near future.
"A pleasure," he said kindly, "And I will certainly keep you in mind should the need arise."
Kyoko quickly moved on, zeroing in on the only other well dressed man in the room, the creepy Pimp certainly didn't fit into that category after all. Ill Capo was his name it seemed, or at least the name Kyoko used as it certainly sounded more like a title than anything else, a man who dressed like Mafia and had a name to match. Katsuo chuckled quietly to himself, it was just so stereotypical. Still, he'd only just met the man so he would reserve judgement until later, Kyoko certainly didn't seem to mind him so that was already a tick in his favor. As with Daffodil Katsuo nodded in greeting, holding out a hand in greeting. Should Ill Capo take the offered hand he would find quite possibly the strongest handshake of his life. It was a little 'trick' that Katsuo had picked up over the years, if you could call it that. He knew he was strong, far stronger than the vast majority of people he had ever and would ever meet, so he had quickly learned to tone it down just enough to be somewhat intimidating without causing any real pain to the recipient.
"Nice to meet you, I'm sure we'll be working together at some point." he said with a half cocky, half sincere smile plastered across his features.
That done, noticing Kyoko looking around for a seat, Katsuo moved away and pulled one out for her before taking a seat at the round table beside her, positioning himself so as to be able to block anything untoward should the need arise. He wasn't expecting anything that exciting tonight, even if he hoped for it, but he hadn't gotten as far as he had in life without being careful when he needed to. He and Kyoko needed to project strength tonight so if things did end up going south he was need to be ready to bring the pain in totality. Nothing tended to instill respect into criminals more than beating one of them to death in front of the others after all. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Katsuo had been called to do something similar, though it would be the first time for Kyoko instead of.....Them. Katsuo shook his head and put his attention back to the task at hand.

Riding down in the elevator, Axel... wasn't too sure what he was going to be doing here today. He'd passed on Mystrem's message to Mr Furlong. If Sonya had placed him as her VP and acting commander effectively in her absence, he had to know what she was all about right? As for himself... why was he here? If he was honest with himself, a lot of the reasons he worked with Sonya were... fear. He liked the freedom to work on what he could but her ideas had always been somewhat radical for him, and being in a position, working for her like that... he never quite knew how to back out.
He shook his head, clearing the thoughts. That WAS why he was here. Perhaps in part, with Mystrem's connection to Sonya he was fearful she'd tell them he was being difficult and at the end of the day he'd be gotten rid of in some fashion... he knew from his research though, Mystrem wasn't as closely tied to her as evidence might suggest. Mystrem was playing this more like a game, more for fun... in her own way she could potentially be more dangerous than Sonya, but, she preferred to play things safe. A long, quiet, yet fun game... unlike Sonya who took risks for a deranged goal.
If Mystrem wanted him here, he felt he could trust her. She didn't want to see other villains trapped or hurt. She just wanted them all to thrive. Not this constant back and forth of heroes versus villains that Ishtar had been aiming for...
The elevator dinging, he'd head down the hall and into the room. His robot body naked par wearing a bomber jacket ontop. He shifted through the few already there, recognizing the associate of Marceline's that he'd been introduced to earlier, Cat.
"Evening all." He'd let out. Cat was supposed to be the one to start introductions so he wouldn't be saying much yet. He just took a seat next to the feline criminal and offered across a small folder of documents and files. "Er... here. Everything Mystrem requested to help you get things going." Beyond that he was mostly silent. Despite the lack of clear emotion on a TV face like his, his body was hung a little low, clearly seeming a little out of place and giving up the ground to everyone around him. He wasn't the kind of person to lead a meeting, and he'd slip in where he felt he could.

It was perhaps in her best interest to not mention the position she had found herself in. While Thundershock had been taking care of matters using Ishtar as the focus, he had vanished from the media's sight. She knew better than to believe he was gone. IF anything, he was only preparing his rise again to the top. It was only temporary, of course. But Ishtar had gone missing, at least, that was how the public was seeing it. Radio silence from the both of them. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to mention that one of them currently lived in her basement. Now that would be a controversy among others. But a familiar name had proposed a new business venture. Kasey was not one to shy away from such ideas and often found herself throwing money at anything that could be entertaining or even the least bit profitable. Any benefits that came with, were simply a bonus. Was this her way to take the position left open by the others? Or was this just her way for filling in into the plans she was slightly aware of. It seemed like a lifetime ago when it was just those three men and their seconds. One man under Kasey's blade, only to take his own life soon after, to be replaced by a woman with the same ideals. The figures that sat at that table may have changed, but never the words or the minds. She liked to refer to them as the Big Three. The three more prominent groups; The Kobayashi Clan, The Ketsujo Corporation, and Robotiks Engineering, which was later replaced by ASTA. It was just how villains were. Nothing ever stopped. Where one person fell, another would take their place. They were a force that truly could not be halted. She dawned her typical black suit, though, do to priorities had come after her other arrangements. The light aroma of blood lingered on her, along with the bits that rested upon her left sleeve and the few drops upon her white dress shirt. Her hair was kept up, the violet strands laying loose, and the mask over her face. Here, she was not the woman who played pretend as the assistant. She was the true master behind it all. With a familiar location, having dealt with it before hand, she knew her way around. And with her current arrangement, she had hoped they would be much more cooperative, given her position. When she arrived, she would look over the few that made it there before her. A few faces she was familiar with, the others not so much. Having met Marciline before, and knowing the extensions of her powers, she could only look over everyone else. Chances were, one of them was her. Whoever she couldn't name, was female, and took charge was the best bet. But, maybe she really did send an associate. She would pass a glance towards Kyoko, the only real person she was familiar with. She couldn't help but wonder what of her position. Was she coming as an ambassador of Thunder, or did she come on her own behalf? And what of Cherry? Were they still in contact? And no matter the answer, was that something Kasey really wanted to find out. "Oracle." she would say with a nod. A greeting, but also one she hoped would get the message across. Kasey did pride herself on making arrangements with other villains as soon as she could, meeting them all. But the situation had been awkward and strange for her. If she was friendly to them all, then hopefully she would introduce her... right? With the feline, and the rather other strange individual, she would nod back in reply to the greeting. To anyone that approached her, she would just offer a handshake and her name, "Army of Bones." she would answer. But if left alone, she would simply remain off to the side, watching from her safe distance, trying to get into the groove of it all. She hated crowds, and even more so groups of villains. No good ever became of it, and if it did, then it did more harm to her goals than good. But a casino, was just another investment. And one with Ketsujo funding, would prove to be advantageous in the long run. ~ Word Count: 725 ~ |

Talk about a deal going south.
With little miss Ishtar out of the picture, it seemed that the sides of the city were shaken up, in more ways than one. Carson had received an invite to a meeting, direct from one of the figures who worked at ASTA Corporation. On it was a time, a place, and a date – simple, efficient. Just the way he liked work to go. It was a pretty cold night out, more so than he was used to: back in the states, it was kinda harsh, but nothing a suit couldn't take care of. Even in his well-heated vehicle he felt the breeze snapping at the windows. Nevertheless, he and his chauffeur continued, stopping off in a space by the company building. Round two, he supposed. Although this was more of a round one and a half, in terms of what Sonya had in mind beforehand. Sickness could strike unprovoked however, a result of comfort getting the best of you. He did mourn for her, one socialite to another, but he was simply built in a different manner.
Stepping out the car, the CEO of the Furlong Concern felt the chill of the wind at full force, his coat flapping in the wind as he approached one of the entrances that would lead him towards the meeting point. On his way, he took out his phone, looking at himself, shifting his hair around and giving out small adjustments to his features. One most look presentable when in the company of many, something he took from his father to heart. Turns out, when he entered the meeting point, many other folks had decided to forgo such an idea, turning up as they were. It did seem to be a pretty packed party however, Carson for sure being the one to win best dressed among the rest. In a well-fitting three piece classic, with black jacket, black overcoat, and a stark white shirt freshly pressed, plus a red tie falling down through it all to seal the deal. In his chest pocket was a white handkerchief, embroidered with his initials. “Well, glad I could make it.” he said, announcing his presence to all those... well, present; “Carson Furlong, CEO of the Furlong Concern, no doubt you're all aware. Here's my card-” he continued, pulling out an array of business cards like a fortune teller, or someone who'd struck out at blackjack after one too many hits. Ready for a discussion, he took a chair and sat down.

She wasn't very far behind Hiroki as all these big cheese villains slowly made their entrances. A meeting of so many dark villains that she almost had to snort as it made her think of something you'd hear about on a Saturday morning cartoon. Watching her man mozy up with style always had a way of making her top hat stand up properly. Lighting up a smoke to hide her blush briefly as her metal teeth cut lightly into the cigar wrap and the sweet smoke slowly came like a stream of lightly puffy smoke from her lips. She held close remaining near him as each step she took held a heavy metal clank in sound. It made her rather hard not to notice and her black voids for eyes seemed to just stare off at nothing. But each of her metallic eyes that were along her arms seemed to blink in several directions snapping pictures and looking about curious at just who all was here. She let out a whistle as the sights kept coming.
"Damn this shit sure is all serious and shit. Villains coming out of the wood works! I see lots of faces I want to work with and or shoot in the face! This is pretty frickin sweet! Anyone want a cigar? Some have other shit in them but I forget which ones so you may get a fucked up buzz?" She'd say holding up some other cigars offering them to Hiroki and any other takers that didn't mind taking a risk of special sorts of buzzes. She'd almost cartoonishly in her own way use one of her overly large gloved mechanical hands to hold one of Hiroki's if he's allowed. As if making a statement as well being she didn't always like being in a place she couldn't hold control. An things that belonged to her she protected as fiercely as a starving dog to a bone with a bit of meat on it. "Whats up butter cups!" She'd say lightly tilting her hat with her free hand as overly large as it was. Anyone that would catch a glimpse of the inside of the top hat would see several weapons and cash clips and what appeared to be small baggies stored within as she moments later placed it back atop her head. She seemed peppy and curious to see what was all this about treating like a date or a night on the town.

As faces slowly started to flow into the meeting, Cat (FC here) tried to keep track of everyone who was entering. On her notepad she was subtly scratching off names, some of which she had to make up just so she'd remember them later before they made official introductions. Some people she hadn't met official, as Cat or Marceline, but some of the unrecognized ones she knew from reputation alone. Some of the younger faces however were entirely fresh to her, and to some extent she almost wondered if she'd mis-labeled the concept behind this meeting but... well, they'd all see soon enough she supposed, placing her papers to one side as Axel came to sit beside her. "Axel dear, glad you could make it. Did you invite Mr Furlong?" She'd ask, her tone was a little less playful than Marceline's right now. While cat was her more 'playful persona' she was selling it as effectively being Mystrem's secretary, so in a business meeting like this she was trying to come off more formal, more business like. She may let that decay and erode as everyone got to know eachother, but for now she let it hold, taking the ipad that Axel presented to her and looking through the files he'd collected on those in attendance, her sharp amber gaze glancing up to the door as the last few people seemed to arrive. "Well, we may have a few late comers but I think we have enough to make a start." She'd place the ipad to one side for a moment before rising to her feet, she gave little more than a polite bow of her head to those who'd addressed her so far, her voice shifted a tone or two with a light tremble to it, something close to a purr lingering on her words to differentiate herself more from Marceline. "If everyone could please take a seat?" She'd wait for people to shift and move, while it was a round table there may have been some positions that could be deemed 'heads', those that lined up best with the walls behind them. She was curious if any of the people in attendance would purposely try to fill those seats, but she wouldn't make a verbal note of it. No reason to make anyone feel inferior or superior to those around them outside of their own heads. "Now, a risky meeting I'm sure you can all agree, but we've been chit chatting through that odd little app for far too long. It's good for us all to be meeting in person or... well." She gestured to herself. "By proxy, but I can assure you, my words are the word of Mystrem herself, and I will not be misguiding you on her views or her plans. She trusts me implicitly, but... as a woman with a less offensive quirk, I'm sure you can all understand her caution. Many of you can be quite intimidating indviduals afterall." Clearing her throat a little, the constant shift in her tone still taking some getting used to, she continued. "Now, the purpose of this meeting is the hope we can form alliances, work on ways that we can work together. I think a good start would be to simply... state our goals. Perhaps we turned to villainy for money, for revenge, to cause chaos! Whatever our desires I would feel that each of us would benefit greatly from stating them loud and clear, presenting ourselves to the others present." She rested a hand on her own chest. "As the representative for Mystrem, I will present her case. Mystrem came to Japan to use her quirk to create a better, more interesting life. A woman with a quirk such as hers-" She was careful not to give the true nature of her quirk too soon. "Could have became a powerful CEO with ease, or simply lived rich in her homeland... but she looks for respect, to find a place in a system where she has power, publicly, and amongst those of you. Egotistical, perhaps, but I assure you she does not wish to run the show. She simply wishes to be... invaluable. To that end, Mystrem's key plans for the future are to establish a Casino hotel in the center of Tokyo. It may start small, but it's value as a money laundering system will be beyond imagining I can assure you. Axel?" With some prompting to the robot in attendance, everyone's phones would beep. Through their connection to the villain chat they'd each recieve emails detailing the plans for the Casino and how it would help each of them clean any of their illegal funds with relative ease. "Now the plans for this are already underway... but those of you with connections that could help us skirt some building codes or eliminate some competition? Your efforts would be greatly appreciated." She looked over the room, waiting for the next person brave enough to stand and introduce themselves before taking her seat again. Hakisura Tusk
