Hakisura was absolutely horrified, and was too afraid to respond to Hiroki's question. He smiled nervously at him and looked away, staring at his shoes. As more people filled the seats of the table, he wasn't sure who was scarier, the intimidating figures who looked like gangsters, or the beautiful women who were in glancing in his direction. Surrounded by random people who he had seemingly no connection too, he felt nauseous. He silently watched the people mingle around him, and when the cat woman started talking, he was listening intensely. He understood the gist of what she was saying about her boss, but when she stopped speaking and went quiet, he had no idea what was gonna happen next.'She wants the people in the room to introduce themselves. So stand up and speak. It'll bring some interest to us.' Hakisura gulped and stood up. He was scared of the people, but not listening to his protector scared him more. "My name is Hakisura Tusk. He said quietly. "I've never been that good of a person I guess, so I suppose that makes me a villain." His eyes darted from face to face, never looking at one person for more than a couple seconds. "But I guess I'm also a villain because of the bloody trail I leave behind wherever I go. People being slaughtered thanks to me is something today's society considers 'villainous', so that's the title I got stuck with. It's not exactly my first career choice, but my protector won't really give me any other option." He coughed into his hand and sat back down, feeling the presence of eyes on him.'Well done. Now you'll be seen as a psychopath, and someone who could be of use.' The reaper said, satisfied. Hakisura went pale and covered his face with his hands, looking as if he would pass out from embarrassment. Did he sound crazy? That wasn't what he meant to do. [attr="class","dangerfoot"] [attr="class","dangernotes"] I'm happy to be in the villain club! Post by Antonio Carreras on Oct 20, 2020 15:17:31 GMT -4
His Boss had trust issues with him. That was clear as daylight, as that troublesome Hero poisoned his mind. No offence to Ingrid, but Antonio couldnt believe that the Boss took her and not him. Being the Mafia's Consigliere aka Advisor, he had to go there to monitor Giovanni. But along the way, he could make more money, because who doesnt love money.
But there was a hiccup with all of this. Antonio hadnt saw the chat message about a meeting, he figured because his phone was tempered. But a connected guy like Antonio finds a way to get his info. Thats why he drove quickly and recklessly to the destination. He quickly arrived, parking his car and looking at the watch, he realized he was a few minutes late. So time was of the essence and he had to go
He went to the building and went to the meeting. He stopped though shyly before opening the door. He overheard something. A young lad was introducing himself. Ah, so he wasnt late after all. Maybe he can still wing this and fly in his favour. A late and dramatic presentation and introduction would do. He knew his Boss would be pissed but not show this discord and weakness during the meeting. Antonio could use that, but also prepare an alibi and excuse as to why he is here. Well, knowing his dear Narcissa, he'd know she was here. She was a well connected girl after all. He could be her bodyguard that she paid for. After all, he is a fighter. She is .... not really. More of a stealth lady and an informant. Hell, his Boss had a bodyguard too in Ingrid now. So it was a good. Now once the boy finished, he would go
When he was done, Antonio whipped open the door and gave his introduction "Antonio Carreras, the fashionably late Mafia Consigliere aka Advisor. I work as the Mafia hitman, but also Bounty Hunter and bodyguard for hire. I managed to capture RedHorn and bring her to Ishtar. Also I am currently here as Daffodils bodyguard for hire. My motives for villainy are money and pleasure." he spoke as he made his grand entrance entering the room, casually closing the door and taking the empty seat that was left to him. He noticed his Boss looking at him. Sure he had a poker face on him. But Antonio knew his Boss was surprised and angry and speechless

| I am the hand that shall tip the scales of fate What side will you be on? Word Count: |
Seita was sitting in the back of an armored limousine as it made its way to the Asta headquarters. Seita was dressed in a sleek dark teal suit with a matching tie and white undershirt, his long red hair a stark contrast to his outfit. Sitting to the side of him was his right hand man and personal bodyguard Mamoru. The quiet and stoic man was sitting in silence, his eyes closed and a sheathed katana laid in his lap. “You know Mamoru, you are a fantastic bodyguard, but you are a poor small talker. Or any kinda talker really.” Seita said as he swirled a clear liquid in a crystal glass. He always poked fun at the other man’s constant serious demeanor. “Young sir, I would remind you that my job is to protect you, not make small talk.” The man said in a monotone voice.
“Yeah, yeah I know. Silence and a clear mind makes you always prepared.” Seita said with a roll of his eyes. Seita had heard that repeated to him for as long as he could remember by his elder bodyguard. Seita took a sip out of his glass and looked out the window as they approached their destination. “I hope those attending this meeting are actually going to be intelligent enough for what we will be discussing. Or at least have something useful to contribute.” The younger man said as he finished his drink. He placed his glass down as their vehicle pulled into the underground garage. “Well looks like we’re here Mamoru, remember, we’re just here to talk. I doubt anyone will try anything.” He said eyeing his bodyguard as he donned his mask. “I will be the judge of that sir.” He replied. Seita only shook his head at the man as the limo came to a stop. As they did Mamoru also donned his white skull mask.
They were met by an attendant as they exited the limousine and were informed that the meeting had already begun. “I did tell you that the meeting was scheduled sooner than you said Sir.” Mamoru said flatly as they began to follow the attendant. “You know, sarcasm is very unbecoming of you Mamoru.” Seita said, a touch of annoyance in his voice. The other man remained silent as they continued on. “Well I guess we’ll be fashionably late then.” Seita said, flipping his now pale blue hair back dramatically with his hand.
After a few moments they arrived at the conference room and were ushered in. Once inside Seita made a mental note of all the different faces and/or masks that were in the room. “Terribly sorry for being late my dears. There was some confusion on when we were to start. I hope you can forgive me.” Seita said politely as he bowed. “I am known as Kuraokami, and this quiet gentleman behind me is my bodyguard.” Seita said. He moved towards an open seat and sat down in it. He placed his interlocked hands on the table as he looked around. Mamoru took his place behind him and silently leaned against the wall, arms crossed and sword hanging from his waist. “If I could, has anything important been discussed yet? Or am I fortunate enough to make it here just in time for me to not have missed anything important?” He asked as he tried to see if he recognized anyone here.

Before she could enter the building, she noticed the car of Giovanni and she would wait for her dear partner in crime. She would wait for Antonio to get out of the car as well, but he did not show up and she was maybe mildly disappointed but put her attention to the Italian crime boss. She tried to look amused, at least he knew how to entertain her and say it was pleasant to see her again. "I hope you been doing alright." She said, keeping that smile on her face that curled up her upper lip and just puckered her lips a bit. It was fantastic to fake it, her eyes going to the person showing up behind him. A girl, it was no more she could say and although internally she felt maybe slightly disgusted, externally you would never notice. It did help though that this girl was Fili, she enjoyed her in the chat. As she had thought weeks before, she needed to show a proper first impression; people had to like her. "It is a pleasure to meet you, I like your name." In-Grid, ha very funny, wasn't she the electronic girl or technical girl was the better word who made her sunglasses, she must be. "You made my glasses thank you for that, they are very useful." With the so-called pleasantries out of the way, Narcissa turned her heel trying to indicate to walk with Giovanni, but she would not know what to ask him. "How are you doing? You know with all the hard work you been pulling off?" She meant the training, she was also very sure he was doing other illegal business but she was also sure he wouldn't want to speak in front of others that he was training his quirk and such, you should not look weak in front of others after all.
She would take a seat opposite Giovanni when they came inside, smiling at the person who she had not met before. Mystrem she thought she heard the name but this wasn't her, at least this person had not been at Sonya's party so maybe she was mixing up names. Someone masked or more like wearing a helmet came in and Narcissa her curiosity would bring her to watch and as the woman left the helmet behind it was clear that the red visible lips of Daffodil curled into a real smile. Kyoko, thank god. "Oracle, you surprise me as well." Everything Narcissa did was for the better of herself but her partnership with Kyoko was definitely very important, she was glad to see that she would not miss this meeting while having missed the party. She would get up from her seat and returned the embrace that her good friend, right? gave to her. "You know it was no problem." She meant it, she wanted to keep being on the good side of this person because she liked her and Kyoko was an inspiration, she turned her attention therefore very carefully and friendly to her childhood friend. She smiled at Siege, right that was one of the names she had seen in the chat. "Nice to meet you, I am glad to meet her childhood friend, how nice." Better than being alone, hopefully, they would get along as well. "And thank you, that is very kind." Kind words to keep her in mind, whether he meant them or not, she liked that he said it. Elegant people that is what a world like this needed, besides she could not deny he was handsome. Extra lucky to have a childhood friend like that. God was she sounding like Sonya now?
Narcissa's attention was shortly pulled back to Kyoko, "Ah yes, we do. I help Il Capo in meetings and finding information as well, come come, you should meet each other." Oh she should make a mental note of the name change and ask about it, it was a pretty one, very fitting as well or so Narcissa thought. She would take her seat shortly after Kyoko did, but before she did her eyes went to Libra. Good to know, more words were not necessary and her smile had disappeared into a neutral horizontal line of her lips. So many people, so many names, she noticed the girl or young woman she had seen at Sonya's party but she did not know her name. If she was not on the opposite of the room she would have asked but she said the name Oracle, so Narcissa could always ask Kyoko later. Someone from the Furlong business, now that was interesting, and the man looked rather proper as well.
The meeting seemed to start, with the warning of potential latecomers and as she already sat down it gave Narcissa the time to spot the people she did not know yet and might be interesting about. The duo of which one offered cigars, she wondered if Giovanni would take it, just to be prepared for whatever. It was funny how this assistant told them about the less offensive quirk of her boss but what about Narcissa? Would she be protected, heck she should have thought about that, surely disappearing so to say was going fine but who knew what would happen. What if someone tipped them off, well she had a mask for a reason. To state their goals, only Kozue and Antonio had to know she was a former pro-hero looking for revenge, it would be too dangerous to play that game, who knows, they might see her as a potential traitor as well. However that casino, now that was a useful idea, especially for informants that had to pay out money but couldn't just cash it all the time, she had her systems for it, but this surely would not hurt. Should she speak next? If no one would she should? Her eyes lingering, just watching and giving it a short amount of time. She did not have to be the first, the kid that Kyoko had been looking at started to speak, so the flower turned her face to see the boy. Interesting, crazy but not less interesting, her red lips turning into a smile before her attention was pulled to the door and she was glad she was wearing a mask, only her lips betrayed the look of surprise. As... as her bodyguard and she stared at him, what the hell did he think he was doing! But her lips only turned into that strict line pressed together, that she tried to form into a smile, very charming Antonio, very... not. It was that he was charming and now willing to protect her that she would forgive him. He was lucky.
Also, he wasn't the last one to come in, someone joined, she swore she had heard that name before and shortly looked at Cat if she would explain what he missed and if he missed anything. If no one else would interrupt or speak up she would do so, "I am Daffodil, I am working as an informant and am willing to find your information for a price or for favours in return." She just eyed the room for a bit before smiling, "I work for the government or so they think. No information will be too difficult for me to find." Playing her cards, she had hidden this information for months, a year almost and only told the man opposite her and the man next to her. But if she wanted people to be interested in her job, "I think it is one of my tasks to make it easier to find and get information but also to demolish the absurd plan of pro-heroes." She smiled before turning back to her seat. Whoever wanted to be next. Their turn, she was wondering if that would be Giovanni or Kyoko.

He saw Narcissa and thus mingled with her as bit as they started to make their way to the meeting "Ah si, Im alright. Im working and even training as you told me I should." Giovanni spoke to her in a polite and business tone, though whenever he sounded happy there was just a bit of pep in his voice. He still was in business mode. Giovanni knew Narcissa probably expected Antonio. But he didnt trust Antonio with this, so he took Ingrid instead who showed promise in furthering her career.
Narcissa spoke politely to Ingrid, probably wanting to give a good first impression. He looked at Ingrid with this proud look on his face. He was proud that she made the glasses that serve Narcissa well. She is indeed doing good. Ingrid has potential to go far. It was only fair to give her a chance to play with the big boys and girls.
Soon the trio of Giovanni, Narcissa and Ingrid met Kyoko who approached them and this was Giovanni first meeting her. "Ah so you're Oracolo. Nice to meet you. Or I guess Malware. I might try to get used to that. Pardon me. I used to refer you as Oracolo for such a long time I might have difficulties." he said as he politely greeted the energetic villain admin. Oh and her company, because it seemed even Oracolo had her own companion, a big brute who looks like a big bad wolf. The two also shaked hands and well... it really was strong, so all that muscle wasnt for show. The two men exchanged their pleseantries as well. He kept it professional after all. Well, back to Oracolo, he was glad that she wasnt picky with her name. Anywho they all made their way to their chair. Narcissa sat across him. Meanwhile he saved a seat for Ingrid next to him.
There was a robotic mutant girl offering cigars. Luckily Giovanni already has had his. In his hand and lit and everything. And with his quirk he discreetly controlled smoke away from Ingrid so it wouldnt bother her.
Well anywho the meeting megan and the girl who was seemingly incharge started to talk. And ended with sorta introducing what Mystrem does. Next up was a strange boy that seemed out of place. He spoke as if he was a psycho, but he didnt really look the part. He looked like he'd do anything but be here. And even if he was with his free will, he was too young and too unstable to be of use. Plus anything he can do, he was sure Ingrid could do better
And then the doors snapped open and boy did rage took him over when Antonio of all people showed up. He was livid but didnt show it, poker face after all. Giovanni looked at Narcissa, because he had no idea whats the meaning of this? Did she really do it or did Antonio break his order?
And then another suspect showed up, luckily no one that was working for him. He didnt know this clown. Even though he had said is name. Giovanni ignored him. He looked at Narcissa as Antonio took his place beside her. "Bros before hoes my ass. He is totally doing this for a lady" Giovanni thought to himself
Narcissa made her introduction and nodded as he listened to her. Once she was done, it was his turn to speak up and introduce himself "Greetings everyone. I am Il Capo. I'm a Mafia Boss and Il Consigliere and In-Grid work for me. As you have seen with Il Consigliere, he managed to best RedHorn, so I have good people working under me. When it comes to business, I am your man. I mostly work in Musutafu and claimed it as my territory, I hide under the heroes plain sight. If you need something smuggled, I am your man. If you need money laundered in Mustafu, I am your man. Counterfeiting? Me. Firearm Trafficking. Also me. Other things under my repertoire are Racketeering, Extortion, Intimidation, Loan Sharking and llegal Gambling. And while Ishtar had her ASTA paravan. I have my restaurant. Again as said, I hide in plain sight and I am successfull at what I do. If you need any help, I am your man" Giovanni said and then took a smoke. He was good at what he does. He was finally good at it. But why didnt it feel fulfilling? He doesnt know. Maybe money cant buy happiness. Maybe he was just a cold man numb to it all. What did he hope to accomplish in his life? Is that why Antonio came, to make sure he stays a villain? If he could, he would quit. But he cant. If she wanted to have a happy life with him... he felt he had to do this. It was this or death or poverty. He hoped she could understand... she probably wont. But he didnt know what else to do. He doesnt dare ask Antonior nor Ingrid for advice.

More people came into the meeting room, hopefully to actually talk about business. If not then...well at least there were more faces to potentially melt and watch them slowly rot aw-Focus Tachibana. You're here to discuss deals for potential clients, and what better place than to find new clients among a sea of morally bankrupt and disgusting human beings in the midst of a business meeting?
Oh, nevermind, this was a mistake. This was a circus of mismatched people. Why the hell are they in a goddamn business meeting discussing the potential offerings of property construction? It doesn't make sense: sure they can have skills to aid in this procedure...but why the hell are they here at all? It gives off the vibe that this meeting is hands-off, and barely handled well. It's pathetic, that's what her boss would call this excuse of a meeting. Tachibana slightly makes a frown as she clicks her pen a bit. Just focus, alright? You can still benefit from this. Clients are clients; disruptive teenagers with supernatural powers are a goldmine of property damage and civil cases. Plus maybe they can help out with whatever job the weird feral looking woman requires of them.
As the rest arrived, Tachibana makes a mental note of some of them. Let's see here... Foreign Mafia man with his bodyguards, along with the agent lady, seem like potential clients. Now granted, being aligned with that organization can be considered a cop out. It's way easier to skirt the legal line with them, and she doesn't want that. She wants a challenge. For now lets consider them a maybe. Clownman...eh why not, could be funny. Weird looking eyeless girl seems cool on account of the whole no eyes thing. Blondie with pigtails with her friend seems like she has some connections. She can use that. She also looks familiar, did she get arrested? Hmm. oh well. There's that guy with bulging eyes. What was his name, Carson? Hmm, maybe, Tachibana thinks to herself as she slowly turns the card around. Greyhair looks too weird and Violethair looks too young. At least the other young looking kid has no eyes. Robot guy looks hilarious though for a tv with a head. Not sure how that works.
Hmm. Which of these would become her new client?
The introductions began. The main goal was pretty apparent: speed up the process of construction. That's easy. Way too easy: there's several cases and legislation that can hurry it up, and if Furry Lady gets the attention of the rich people here, it'll help her boss immensely. Could do without the praising of the woman, though. The way she spoke about her, it was almost as if Mystrem was here. Knowing quirks and the fact they're in a building, she might as well be here listening into this. Pretty safe to send in a decoy while you stand back and reap from afar. Grim, known as Tusk, seems to be out of his element. Brave, but idiotic. Big mafiosso bodyguard just state the obvious, although this hitman guy seems interesting. The Latecomer seems to think they're hotshit for coming in late. Infomat seems even more interesting, could get some info for cases from here if she befriends her. And of course, Big Mafiosso talks big.
Tachibana readies herself and clears her throat, as she adjusts her glasses. "Alright then...hello everyone." She does a small bow of sorts while still sitting down. "On behalf of the Kenza Associates firm, I'm glad to be here to discuss potential partnerships and to aid in your construction." She begins to hand out business cards carefully to everyone present, while leaving a stack in the middle of the table for anyone who comes late. "My name is Tachibana Prya, I specialize in defending, and we at the firm specialize in any potential case you so desire," she states. "Civil, property, digital, assault; we strive to fight for whatever you desire. You would be surprised to know that we greatly benefit from all of you and your actions." She finishes it off by handing two cards to Marc. "This one is for your boss...anyway, as for your case, I'm quite sure that we can find the proper legislation and laws we can abuse to finish your casino as soon as legally possible." She sits back in her chair, resting her hands over the file she brought. She stares blankly before realizing that she should actually talk more about herself. "Oh right, about ME.... Well, I'm really sorry to admit this, but uh... there's nothing much else as to why I'm here. Other than personal hobbies and stuff, I'm not quite as involved in the whole ideals thing and all. I simply enjoy working with the law, no matter the client." An earnest smile forms on her face, one far removed and different than Libra's usual crazed grin. She adjusts her glasses once more.
Anyone with a brain would realize that, even if that were true, it doesn't explain why a lawyer was here and has access to the meeting coordinates

Jun didn't often have an occasion to dress fancy but if a big important meeting of some of Japan's most notorious scum and degenerates wasn't cause for it then what was? One simply must make a good impression in one those things after all. It wouldn't do at all to come across as a simple street thug. Even if that's basically what Jun still was. Though truth be told Jun hardly cared what they would think of him, he just relished the opportunity to wear something fancier than standard fare streetwear. This particular evening he fancied wearing a suit. A suit of pure white, the whole ensemble colored solely by a purple shirt and accentuated with a black tie and gloves.
As the elevator opened up to let Jun in, he noticed the meeting was already underway, spearheaded by some sort of catgirl secretary. Making no apologies for his late entrance, Jun grabbed a chair and made himself comfortable. While still listening to the briefing, Jun pulled out his phone, to let a certain red skinned demon know that she was running late.
Following the cat secretary's introduction others began introducing themselves in turn. Jun took the chance to observe all those present. He recognized only three. There was the robot midget from the orphanage job, Kuraokami from that zombie incident and Il Capo from the opera. Those three Jun had had brief interactions with. Which was at least more than could be said for the rest. All of them were strangers but all of them had their own unique charms.
"I'm Kurosawa Jun." He began when the turn came to him. His voice was soft and delicate, his smile playful and his eyes cold. "I'm but a mere up and comer who technically can't even afford the suit he's wearing. But I do hope to change that and I do look forward to working with you all in the future." As he spoke, his eyes scanned the room, making eye contact with any that cared to look his way.

@ all y'all | ◀ | Prezioso fascio di gioia ❤ Ingrid smiled cheerily upon hearing Daffodil's kind words. "Aww, thanks!" The girl loved her own name too. Her alias In-Grid was both very stupid and yet very brilliant at the same time. After all, who else would ever use a barely altered version of their actual name for their alias? She could take advantage of the fact that no sane person would ever suspect anyone with a brain of doing something so painfully obvious. The best hiding spot was in plain sight, after all!
"Yay! I'm really glad they are to your liking. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you ever need anything else." Building stuff was always a blast, and the one thing Ingrid loved more than being able to build a really good invention (besides putting it to the test, of course) was seeing or hearing the delight of the person she had built said invention for. It always felt heartwarming to know that her creation was loved, that the hours and sweat poured into all that hard work paid off admirably.
Seeing one of the villains approach Daffodil (someone the lady knew or was at least familiar with, from the looks of it), Ingrid decided to continue the conversation some other time. Besides, it would soon be time for the meeting, for all the villains to chat and discuss whatever they were here to talk about. Still, Ingrid hoped to someday be able to talk more with the lady. No wonder Il Consigliere was a fan of Daffodil. She seemed intriguing.
And Daffodil was not the only villain to grab Ingrid's attention. As she followed the boss inside, Ingrid would look around and see all the villains that were already inside. So many interesting-looking characters! With a smile, Ingrid would happily wave at everyone inside, not really giving much of a shit about possibly coming off as goofy and childish. That lady with the mechanical-looking arms and the guy with the TV for a head were definitely the highlights for the tech-obsessed girl. Ooooh, they look super cool! Ingrid just wanted to run up to them and feel the mechanical parts.
But no, the girl needed to restrain herself, and she would do just that. She needed to be on her best behavior and not embarrass herself in front of the Boss, after all.
Aww, you're too kind, Signore! It was probably not for any special reason why Il Capo saved Ingrid a seat beside his own. After all, she was here as his bodyguard, so it made sense for a mafia boss to keep his guard close. Still, the girl delightfully took her seat. She also appreciated the fact that while the boss decided to grab a smoke, he used his quirk to ensure that the girl would not need to suffer. Still, though she did not show it, Ingrid did feel a tiny bit bad about the boss going out of his way to keep the smoke away just for little old her. It was fine of course, if he wanted to do it because he felt like it, but Ingrid began to wonder if she had not been careful enough to disguise her disgust whenever she was unfortunate enough to catch a whiff of the smoke. Now I really need to remember to build that anti-smoke device when I get home.
Fortunately, the girl would not have to dwell on those thoughts for very long. The meeting would now start. And it seemed that for the first order of business, everyone was to introduce themselves and state their goals. Ooh, that sounds fun! I should really pay attention to this! So the girl would silently listen as the introductions started. First was some representative for Mystrem, who then explained what Mystrem's goal was. A casino hotel? Interesting. The girl was then surprised to see her phone suddenly vibrate. A quick glance, and the girl decided to just read more into it later. Not because it did not interest her, but because Ingrid wanted to hear what the others were gonna say.
Next up was a guy called Hakisura Tusk. This guy seemed interesting too, but for a different reason. Though his words may appear to come off as edgy on the surface, he himself did not seem to come off as one of those typical edgelords. It was clear that there was more to him than meets the eye, and listening to his words made Ingrid feel a bit sorry for him. A protector, eh? Seems way more strict than my parents from the looks of it. She gave him a kind, almost reassuring smile, though she was unsure if he would even notice.
Next up was... oh dear. Ingrid's eyes widened in surprise. She noticed the arrival of a certain latecomer. Wait, Il Consigliere?! I thought you weren't gonna show! She gave his words a listen, and once he was finished, Ingrid grinned. Unlike the boss who was probably livid but didn't show it, the girl did not bother to try and hide the fact that she was amused. Ooh, you're gonna be sooooo busted later! Though of course, she would refrain from laughing out loud, despite every wire in her body wanting to explode with laughter. No, she needed to behave and play it cool. Reluctantly, her face quickly returned to a neutral expression, but not fast enough to stop anyone from noticing if they (for whatever reason) chose to look at her face quickly enough.
After another late arrival, Daffodil was next to speak up. The lady explained that she was an informant, willing to find information for a price or favor, and that the government thinks she works for them. Sneaky sneaky! After her was Il Capo himself. Despite stating things the girl already knew (she worked for him, after all), Ingrid would still be silent and respectful as she gave him a listen. Gotta respect the boss, naturally. And after him was Tachibana Pyra. Oh, a lawyer, eh? That makes her the most evil person in this room, clearly. Sarcastic joke thoughts aside, Ingrid listened to what the lady had to say. Real talk tho, lawyers are actually really important allies any self-respecting villain ought to know they should have. Hell, anyone with a brain ought to see this lady as the very first person to befriend.
Once the lawyer lady was finished, Ingrid wanted to speak next. So she began to get ready to speak... only to stop at the last second as yet another newcomer showed up. Oh come on! Jeez, how many more people are gonna arrive? Still, Ingrid was not gonna be rude. So she let this Kurosawa Jun person speak without interruption. Pretty straightforward. I look forward to working with you too, buddy! Not much to say, but that was alright. It just meant that Ingrid could finally speak.
And now, at last, Ingrid could talk. Before anyone could interrupt, the girl rose from her chair and began to speak. "Hiya!" She gave everyone a warm smile, with a cheery wave accompanying it. "As my boss already said earlier, I am In-Grid. It's very nice to meet you all!" In a room filled with villains, some might see it as odd for a young girl to give such a cheery and delightfully-toned greeting. It could even come off as a bit unsettling with how happy the girl sounded. And this cheerfulness was actually genuine. No fake or forced smile. It was as though Ingrid was introducing herself to her classmates on the first day of school.
"Some of you already know what I do, but for those who don't, my specialty is technology. Specifically engineering and programming. For any technological needs, be it hardware or software, I'm your girl! You want some weapons, armor, or even a killer robot? I gotcha! Some modifications and/or upgrades to your own tech? Easy-peasy! Or do you ever need hacking expertise? Someone to say 'I'm in!' without it being just a meme? Wanna help make sure your records are safe from nosy cops, or want to dig up some dirt on someone and screw em over with a good old-fashioned blackmailing? Leave it all to me! I may not look very old, but most professionals wish they could hold a candle to my skills! Whatever your needs are, I'm more than happy to put my genius brain to use for any of my fellow villains!"
Ingrid smiled cheerfully as she continued. "And what do I want in return for my amazing services? What's my end goal? It's simple, really. All I want is to build and program all day. It's really fun! But eh, my ideas are kaiju-sized, and I sadly don't exactly have the budget to bring the much bigger ideas in my mind to life. So I need money! Lots of it! Maybe even enough to someday start my own actual business! But yeah, that's In-Grid in a nutshell. Pay me, and I'll reward your generosity by using my top-notch skills to really impress! And that's a guarantee!"
And with her piece said and done, the cheerful and energetic girl bowed to everyone in the room. "Okay, I'm done now! Who wants to go next?" And with one last cheerful smile, Ingrid jumped back into her seat, eager to listen to everyone else speak up.

As Kado looked at each person making their arrival at the table, she took note of their names. Even if they were aliases it was always nice to put a face to the name, even if in cases like herself and Daffodil those faces were covered by a mask.
She listened carefully to what "Cat" had to say regarding this little meeting of individuals and its intended purpose. Something along the same lines as Ishtars girls night a while back, albeit in a far more formal pretext as far as the masked red head could gather.
She'd poke some fun at Cat later regarding the intimidating comment, but for now there was business and the matter of formal introductions to be discussed. First up was the disheveled young boy, Hakisura who apparently had a body trail behind them. Next up was Mr Carreras, a Mafia hitman and bodyguard for hire, currently employed by Miss Daffodil who was a renowned information gatherer currently double playing the government.
Then there was another red haired person beside herself, a Kuraokami who also came up with a bodyguard. No details as to what they can do, but they missed that portion of the meeting's start. Il Capo was the next to introduce themselves, a Mafia boss who had their hands in nearly anything and everything illegal you could consider, who apparently liked to think of himself as the owner of Musutafu and had a restaurant.
That was going to be something that would have to be addressed.
Then a woman by the name of Tachibana introduced themselves... as a lawyer. Kado couldn't help but give a snort of amusement at that particular situation. A room full of villainous business owners and others, and of course one of them is a lawyer. Up next was a Kurosawa Jun, who was still finding their feet as it were in the whole villains and business stuff.
And then there was In-Grid. With a name like that, Kado could pretty much guess what they specialised in but listened all the same. And she was proven correct, with the bubbly girl explaining that she was a tech-geek who offered to make anything for anyone tech-wise, and break into anything digitally. "Sounds like an ideal work partner for you Axel." the masked woman remarked with a nod of her head towards the Television Headed Quirker.
"You may know me from the chat-group as Verdure, but in the field I prefer Thurisaz. As for what I desire, merely retribution against the government for reasons that are my own." she said, before snapping her fingers. From a bag hidden under her cloak came a small swirl of sakura petals that soon coalesced into a large cat sized plant-wyvern. It looked around the room, standing on its mistress' shoulder.
"This is Thorn. And before someone asks, this isn't his full size." said Kado with a chuckle. "Like Il Capo, we make our home out in Musutafu... which I think we will be needing to discuss later dear regarding the whole "territory" thing dear." she said, the coy smirk present in her voice beneath her mask. Thorn turned his head towards the Mafia boss and gave a light growl.
"Through my public business as a florist, should it be required, you can send coded messages to one another that can't be hacked by digital means. Provided the messages aren't too complicated of course. There are only so many ways one can arrange a bouquet." Kado remarked with a smirk in her voice. "And if its really needed... well, I could always use more fertiliser." she mused, the plant-wyvern licking its lips for emphasis on her subtle hint as a body dump site.
That should be enough information for the people here to piece it together without her outright saying details. "And, should anyone here be needing to find themselves work for a cover, or even just for some extra yen, we do have part-time jobs available. I must point out though that some of my staff are of course civilians and students so please do use some discretion if you choose to employ with me."

Why had she agreed to come to this thing? It was hard to say really, mostly just curiousity? Or had she another purpose... ah, what a pain in the ass. It was all that chibi's fault, prodding at her until she had felt like there was no option but to agree. There may also have been something to be said about getting a bit more well known so that she could get more interesting and lucrative contracts, though she wouldn't admit to have been interested in advertising of all things. But with that concept stuck in her head, of course there was a matter of presentation to consider. Sure, her usual attire was good for most situations, but if she was going to be in the same room with all those white collar criminals with the deep pockets she'd need to show that she was more than just some street punk thug.
And so when over two meters of muscle and well restrained violent tendencies stepped out of the elevator, she was dressed in a fashion that she hadn't bothered with in quite some time. Clad in a tailored black suit, a black shirt that seemed purple in the right light, and thin sunglasses perched on her nose, Nakamura Rei looked every inch the bodyguard she was. The leather gloves and small earpiece only added to that look.
Much like Jun had moments earlier, she gave no excuse for lateness, only striding forward to stand behind the petite villain and lean down enough to place her mouth by his ear. "I wouldn't have been late if someone had been more specific on the time, chibi-san" she murmured, sharp teeth almost grazing the delicate shell of his ear. That done, she straightened up and took up position behind Jun, reinforcing the position of bodyguard that she represented, even if Jun didn't actually have a contract with her. Of course, if he had, she wouldn't have shown up after him. Still, she hadn't even considered taking a seat, none of them looked well structured for one of her stature.
Should someone press her for her own name, the Oni woman would offer a curt "Yojimbo, I'm muscle where it's needed." She wasn't exactly about to go into a spiel about herself without a good reason, and so that would be enough for her to fall silent and wait, listen, and watch to see what would happen next.

[attr="class","life"] ❝ life is full of little lies [attr="class","les"]X Kyoko was glad Narcissa was still fairing well, ever since Narcissa had mentioned she was a fan of Kyoko's AND proved herself useful, well that was all kyoko needed to basically have Narcissa be the apple of her eye. She smiled as Katsuo exchanged pleasantries with him, she was going to be crucial in Eternity's new plans so Katsuo playing nice was VERY essential. She smiled at Giovanni as he said her name a little silly "It's my pleasure to meet someone of your esteemed nature as well. I hope we find a common ground so we can work together soon~" she said as she raised her upper body from the bow and smiled at him. She saw that the meeting was going to begin, she waved bye to Narcissa and Giovanni and took her spot. Smiling at Katsuo as he pulled the chair out for her and pushed it in. He was always suave that one, he promptly sat down next to her as she had expected him to. He was her right hand man and she his left hand. The two together filled each others weaknesses even socially.A familiar face came in, Kasey! It had been a long while since the two had interacted, she offered kyoko an acknowledgement. Kyoko nodded her head "Hello hun. I hope everything is well." she said as she gave a small wave. She leaned in on the table and interlocked her fingers together as her elbows rested on the edge of the table. She remained mostly quiet during the villains introductions. She however did pay close attention as the young boy introduced himself Hakisura Tusk? Hmm...he could be a potential student..Kyoko would have to contact him later for a potential offer. Another person of interest came up to kyoko, most of the time she usually dismissed Libra's nonsense in the chat. Chalking her to be another lunatic like a majority of the people who made up the chat...but this time it was different, she was actually speaking...and well. Kyoko who was keeping her eyes closed as she listened to the rest of them opened them at the mention of what she does as a civilian cover. Tachibana Pyra and the kenza firm hmm? Well well, this woman was much more interesting now. A small silence fell around the room as Kyoko stood up from her chair and cleared her throat. "Well then I guess it's my time to shine." she said as she introduced herself. "My name as most of you know and some of you dont is Oracle, or well. Malware now." she said as her 4 whips unfurled from her back and she began to walk around the perimeter of the table. "Many of you also know what I deal in, information, tech, blackmail, infiltration. I dabble in a little of whatever my skill set permits." she said as she went on "But well, that's not really what I'm passionate about in life." she said as she slunked around the room looking closely at each villain, her robotic eyes shifting upon focusing on certain victims. "I am looking for something new, something interesting. Many of you know of my former organization, eternity. A villain organization that was aimed towards drawing in villains to eternally oppose the hero system. Who managed to hit shibuya crossing before the pros even knew exactly what hit them." she said as she looked around the room
"However upon my arrest during the shinagawa fiasco I realized my logic was flawed. The organization couldn't exist without me fufilling the wishes that people sought me out for. I'm sure the same thing will soon happen to dear Sonya who's fallen ill." she paused for a second "I'm a talker, I will get to the point soon." she said as she stopped over at Hakisura tusk "If I want a hero system to eternally be opposed. I'd need something that stood as a simple against U.A" she said as she pinched Hakisura's cheek from behind for a second before letting go and smirking to herself. . Her whips hoisted her up, grabbing onto the roof and moving her over like a strange octopus as she remained steady. She sat back in her chair where she promptly kicked her feet up on the tables and began to check on her nails with her palm facing outwards and her hand outstretched. "All are welcome to become students, teachers even. But one thing I will not permit." she said as the lights began to turn pink and flicked "Is someone who'd get in my way. This is a warning to all of you. Villains come and go but I've been around longer than almost all of you." she said as her eyes flashed pink in the moments of darkness between the lights cutting out. When the lights fully came back on, Kyoko snapped back to her normal cheery appearance. "Ah! but back to my point." she said as she leaned back towards the table and smiled at Mystrem as her whips coiled around her "I'd love to lend my support for the casino, of course provided your boss, mystren, sends donations or payments to help my own dream come true~ I can do cyber security or whatever else you need for a casino, probably could use some programs that automatically rig the games in the house's favor or baiting idiots into gambling more~ I can surely twist an arm here or there to help things along in the business world as well.." she said smiling.
"Ah and this gentleman next to me is my right hand man. Siege, my ill 'crush you with full force methodist' I'll let him introduce himself." she said she moved her hand over with her palm facing upwards gesturing for him to speak. | [attr="class","goodness"] ✉ @tagone ✉ @tagtwo ✎ 0000 words |

Post by Katsuo Hideyoshi on Oct 29, 2020 8:26:21 GMT -4
Katsuo sat patiently and watched as the room was slowly filled with more and more strange individuals. Many of them he didn't even give a second glance to, knowing from just their initial entrance that it would be an exercise in futility from him to try and have a conversation with them that didn't end with him punching some part of them off. If he was being honest, he could count the number of seemingly reliable people currently sitting in the room on one hand with a select few being pure wildcards that he couldn't place either way. Katsuo knew that Kyoko likely knew, at least offhandedly, most if not all of the people in the room so she would also likely already have a shortlist of those she was keen on bringing in on their Project.
His attention was suddenly pulled to the very woman who seemed to have taken the role of mediator of this whole get together tonight. The Feline woman soon had everyone still standing jostling for a seated position at the round table that dominated the room. Finally, it seemed they were about to get to the meat of the evening. The woman's words were all carefully chosen it seemed, a very diplomatic approach was being taken. The fact that she was only a spokesperson for another drew a raised brow from Katsuo. It certainly wasn't the first time he had dealt with intermediaries in such a manner but he felt it somewhat insulting to ask everyone else to put themselves in harms way tonight at then turn around and not do the same. Still, it didn't matter all that much to him either way. The woman behind the words was clearly a careful person, and that at the very least Katsuo could respect even if he ultimately disagreed.
Her proposal of going around the table at having everyone state their goals was a good move, in more ways then one. Not only would it allow everyone to get a handle on just what kind of people they were dealing with, it would also give both Katsuo and Kyoko ample chance to find out just who could end up being a potential problem for them in the future. The organizer of the meeting itself, Mystrem, had a pretty damn useful proposal for everyone. A Casino, built and run by Villainous elements of society right in the heart of Tokyo. Katsuo could already see the benefits of such an endeavor even as their mediator began listing them. Being able to 'clean' ill gotten funds both easily and quickly was always a boon. It certainly wasn't a very unique idea, but that didn't mean it wouldn't be damn useful after it was up and running. Though the truly interesting part of the evening got underway when the feline woman was finished with her employers proposal. Now it was time to see what the rest of these people wanted.
More than a few of them were simply looking to network with the people in the room, seemingly happy to help out in any criminal enterprises offered to them. A select few others Katsuo would have to note down for later reference, Daffodil for instance. If she was speaking truly then her possible government connections would likely be invaluable for Katsuo's future plans. Others though, such as Il Capo and this Thurisaz woman, would likely more direct intervention lest they get even more uppity then they already were. Eventually it was Kyoko's turn to speak. It was a topic that they had discussed at length together and they had both decided that tonight was the best opportunity for them let others in on their plans. Katsuo was more than happy to cede the floor to her, she was in her element after all. It was certainly an ambitious undertaking they were looking to start, but those often tended to be the more rewarding. It was both of their chances to make a true, undeniable mark on the world around them, he and Kyoko would grasp it with both hands. Soon enough Kyoko had said her piece and ceded the floor to Katsuo. He gave a slight nod in her direction before standing to his full height, deftly adjusting his vest as he did so.
"Let's keep things to the point shall we?" he said, no mirth in his tone. "As Malware just told you the only name you need know me by is Siege." he explained as a way of greeting.
"Malware has laid out our plans for the time being and while I will be heavily involved in them there are also a select few areas which I will be taking full control over, effective immediately." he said, his eyes scanning the room, almost daring someone to speak out against him.
"We too are based in Musutafu so it should be quite clear by now that there will be some measure of tension between quite a few of us in this room." he explained, glancing quickly at those who had already laid some claim to that region of the city.
"I have no interest in many criminal enterprises some of you have already expressed your interest in. That being said, there are two aspects that there will be no arguments over." he said, holding up two fingers as a serious expression drifted onto his features.
"Guns and Security. Any involvement you believe yourselves to have in these endeavors is henceforth ended. I am more than happy to assist you in other areas but I will not be moved on these two things. Outside of Musutafu is not my concern at the moment. The groundwork for a Mercenary Company under my command is well underway so your security concerns will soon be null and void. Let me be perfectly clear," he said, his tone darkening as he slowly moved his gaze around the room. "This is the first and only warning I will give. Disregard this warning and I will personally see to the dismantling of those particular arms of your business."
Katsuo remained standing for a brief moment, allowing his words to sink in, before he sat down once more without another word. He had delivered his warning, that was enough. Honestly he was hoping that someone would disregard it, it would give him the perfect opportunity to cut loose.

Axel was glad to see the standing head of ASTA had decided to join them. It was a bit of a risk letting him know about the meeting but Axel felt he could breathe a little bit easier as he observed them showing up to the meeting. With the meeting going ahead Axel mostly seemed to have his head in his laptop, pretty much taking notes should Sonya manage to return from her hospital care, his hands typing away quickly though a direct uplink from his arm to the laptop via a small USB wire helped him 'type' faster than his digits would actually allow, practically theatrics to keep his mind working on the task at hand. He didn't react much to those speaking before him, maybe lowering his head a little when those talented with technology spoke but-
"Pheh!" He couldn't help the sudden scoff that came out when Antonio mentioned the capture of Redhorn. As someone who worked very closely with Redhorn he knew for a fact that was a big stretch of the facts there. He had seen the tapes of their meeting afterall, and while he may have briefly brought some attention to himself, he slowly lowered his head again. "Er.. sorry just... thinking about a joke Ishtar told me before she left..."
When it seemed to come round to his turn he tipped the head of his laptop down and rose to stand. "Well erm... I feel a bit inadequate, don't wanna upstage the people who filled my niche before me but... I was, well, still am head of the ASTA RnD department. I make the robots we're looking to supply UA with in the near future, and anything tech wise you can link to Ishtar? My work. Her funding of course but you won't see her tapping into every big TV display in Tokyo without my help... though again, I can admit, her funding and resources played a big part." He wasn't good at showing ego, even in situations like this where he should be selling himself. "So er... yeah. You need something done with tech, I have evidence out there of what I can do so... let me know..."
Without much more of a word he came to sit down and shifted his laptop up again, rubbing the back of his neck, the tubing that connected his head to his shoulders, letting out a heated sigh as he got back to typing.

It was hard enough arranging a single meet and greet with a single person. To have a massive gathering of minds trying to pick of the pieces left behind did give a bit of hope, but with it, she knew it was going to turn into sub fractions. The ideals left behind by Ishtar would be lost and forgotten, the momentum by Thundershock had faded away. Was it worth the mention of her attempt? No, it didn't matter. It didn't matter with Amadeus, it didn't matter now. With the offer of the cigar, she'd take one, sniffing it for a moment before licking the side of it. She expected as much from her, but she wasn't going to have the gamble here. Not around these people. But in her own privacy, perhaps she would explore that option. "Thank you." she would say with a nod, placing it in her mouth. A moment would pass before she would just pocket it for later. With the presentation, and offer to sit, Kasey would. The edges of the mask on her face peeling back to show small red eyes that looked at her side and behind her. It was safer to remain against the wall, in the shadows, but here, here was not the place for that. It was the time for her to take a step forward, into the light before all of the shadows. She would take a seat off to the side, and if provided, one with the wall behind her. Any bit of leverage, any advantage if a fight broke out, she was going to take. The less they knew about her, the better. But the words from the feline did raise her interest. Did that woman really have her own private network of people and underlings, or was this just another act for her to show? Sometimes, it's the devils that have halos. A child would speak. One she would remember as Tusk. The familiar man she had met before, pinning him to a mafia. That piqued her interest. Daffodil would speak next, and Kasey would nod along with her words. The next man was of little interest until he was tied to the same mafia, and with it, that girl, Ingrid. That connected a few dots. The next would pass out some business cards, of which with the mention of cyber security of sorts, would find itself tossed on the ground behind her shortly after. What ingrid spoke of, she couldn't help but think on Fix. Did they meet already? She could have sworn she had crossed him. Didn't Ishtar reveal his identity? It must have been posted? Would it had been better to hire that girl, or him? The questioned pondered for a moment as time went on. The next to get her attention would be Kyoko, to which she would begin to remember all she had done in the past. Was Kasey ever going to escape that fate? "Army of Bones, Representative of the Ketsujo Corporation." she would say with a sigh, her eyes looking over the others in the room for a moment, her mask shifting a bit as long spider like legs would extend to wrap around her head. At the ends of them, smaller spiders would form and separate, crawling over her head to peer and keep and eye on the number of people around the table. One would crawl over her face, only to drop onto the table into her open hand. "Some of you have used our services, safe-houses, or our funding. I specialize in quirk knowledge, advancement and laundering." She would pass a glance to Kyoko before smiling. "The Ketsujo brand has supported the Kobayashi for years. We've always been all for our people." She would slide her finger tips forward along the table. "I'll provide anything needed in support of this casino, be it financial, or armed forces."People change. Contracts change. Goals change. People weren't what they used to be. Alignments and allies don't last forever. Maybe people had their reasons to do certain things or go after certain people, but right now none of it mattered. Nothing mattered. It was only a matter of time before she would lose the one last thing that connected her to her bloodline. But did she care about Kasey, as much as Kasey cared about her? ~ Word Count: 726 ~ |

Post by Carson Furlong on Nov 10, 2020 15:18:27 GMT -4
As a few more people poured into the meeting, the head organiser of this little connections group began to speak, under a pseudonym, of course. Carson felt close to home, but not close enough around all these people. They were villains, at least that's what society had put on them as a tag. He himself had no moral scruples with anyone here, even if what they were describing was rather high-tier criminal activity. He had dabbled in such pleasantries before, but not openly like these folks; secretive and spun evidence were his usual vices, on top of drug use and... well, the usual. Legitimate business was his game, and made sure to keep any dealings in the dark side of the law away from his precious company. If he was found liable, there was no way the company would go down because of it, as it was traced to a singularity instead of a collective. Why go through the rigmarole of legal issues on top of a collapsing empire? Silly, really.
After a large majority of the group spoke their piece, talking of their intentions, Carson felt it was only fair he demonstrated his own style: with a good old fashioned pitch. Standing up, he placed his hands on the table, open palmed, and cleared his throat. “Wow! What an impressive bunch you guys are.” he said, looking around the room, at each and every one of the participants. “Lots of things you don't want people to find out. Or maybe you do, leave a lasting impression on this city. I'm with you there – Carson Furlong, CEO of The Furlong Concern, no doubt you've seen the building and our branches. I'm not exactly what most people would label a 'villain', a word which I think we can do without here. I don't rob banks, hack the government, or go after the big shot heroes who run the place. No sir! I lay squarely in the legitimate. A businessman, through and through, never letting up even when the going gets tough. I had a very lovely talk with our topic of discussion tonight, and what I said there applies here: 'you know what I see, when I look out to this city? I see the Land of the Rising Sun. On a cloudy day. A haven for the future, just a little change in the weather is what's needed. A jumpstart.'” Carson took his hands off the table, ready to continue. “Ever since I met Sonya – or Ishtar, doesn't matter – I felt like I truly found myself in this place. It's a great city, lots of great people and culture. Plenty of profit, too. About time it was put in the right hands, huh?”
After the pitch, he sat down, patting himself on the forehead with his handkerchief. Putting passion into your pitch could work wonders, able to convince a hefty majority of people. Hopefully it had worked here, and with the amount of cards he had on him, everyone could possibly fall under the spell of business.
