His guesses were right! Pop and possibly classical! He thought she was into pop and classic was his 2nd guess!
Then Chise tried to guess his type of music, his preferences. And she too got it, for the most part
"Yep. I like metal. Metal and rap are my fav genres. But I know how to chill out with some other music" he told her
She also asked if he had an ear for music and whatnot
"That I do. I can dance and I can play an instrument or two. I also work in a music shop as a civillian. So its my job to know what kind of music does someone like. I mean Im a Vigilante, I dont get money from busting up Villains. But even if I was some Pro Goverment Approved Hero. I wouldnt really take money for saving people. Its Villanous in my book.......no no. I should shut up. Back to music. Did you find that song I kinda just...erm...hummed from the beach, you took a liking to it, I think"
He almost went onto a political subject. But he quickly jumped back to music. He had to shut up seriously. He looked at the time to see if he was close to UA. He couldnt really enter UA, but he could escort her until the main entrance and walls.

"I kind of had a hunch," Chise said with a small smirk, looking at G before they rounded another corner. Chise smiled as she could see U.A. up ahead. They still had a bit of a ways to walk so they still had time to chat before they reached the dorms. "From time to time I'll try and listen to something different, sometimes I'll like it but other times I won't. Everyone just has different tastes," Chise said with a soft shrug. She knew she didn't care for any of the death screaming, heavy beat type of music, so G's type of music was already off of her list.
Chise listened as G talked about working in a music store when he wasn't working as a vigilante, sparking an interest in the young redhead. "A music shop? Really? I think that's a pretty cool job to have. So do you help people pick out new music or do you do things like put records and CDs away by genre or artist? I've never been to a music store, so I want to know what it's like," Chise said eagerly, her eyes seeming to twinkle in awe at how amazing G's day time job sounded.
Chise didn't pay much attention to the slight slip up, too fixated on imagining herself working in a music shop. Her thoughts were interrupted when he asked her if she listened to the song he told her about when they met last on the beach. "Ah I did happen to take a listen to it! It was very pretty sounding, I didn't take you as one to listen to slow, almost classical jazz like, music. It almost put to bed with how soft and peaceful it sounded," Chise told G. It was a good song to listen to if she were trying to fall asleep at night, perhaps that's what she'll try tonight. |

"Yep! Thats right. I help people pick out music when they're indecisive. And if they're not much business, I sort out CD's and other items. Also I use my Vigilante skills to spot any shoplifters. Easy peasy. Though sadly, getting the job wasnt easy per say. I had to use a friends help" he said
G couldnt dare to say that he threatened to kill the owner of the shop if he didnt get a job. The poor man was so scared and so confused that G asked for a job as if he was robbing the place. And Goliath there being scary. Well, at least G knew he had his job safely. Plus, he was surprisingly good at it.
Luckily she didnt hear much about his mess up. But she did answer his question about the song from the beach.
"Heheh...yea...well, I told ya, I listen to all kinds of music. Its just metal and rap are my fav genres. But that song kind of helps me reflect on stuff. I'm glad you like it. I mean while you and Goliath were like swimming together, I couldnt really sing something agressive like...umm... Cannibal Corpse. So I decided to hum something like...Love Like You"
G noticed that they passed his house as they neared UA. They were close. So his time with Chise was coming to an end

"It does not sound like very complicated job, on the contrary it seems rather fun to be able to help customers out with picking some music out. It was nice that your friend was able to get the job for you. By how you talk about it, it seems like you enjoy it quite a lot. To be able to work at a job that's centered around your passions I believe is the best kind of job to have!" the redhead said with a wide smile. Chise hoped that when she was finished with school, she might be able to have a job that she loved doing. Her dream job would to be a bakery owner but she would have to wait and see what the future holds for the bubbly narcoleptic carrot top.
Chise listened as G described the song, called Love Like You, and how it helped him calm down. "It does help you center yourself and think about things more clearly." She heard him say that he couldn't sing much anything else while she was out swimming with Goliath and to that she softly chuckled. "I didn't care what you would have sang back on the beach. Although it might have been quite funny to see you jamming out to a hardcore heavy metal song." the redhead said laughing a bit harder now just imagining G doing something like that. Chise calmed down quicker this time before speaking, "But, I'm glad you choose to pick that song instead. If you hadn't hummed it I would have never know about it. Thank you G," Chise said with a soft smile.

He smiled hearing her say that "Y'know... Thanks for making me appreciate my job a bit more. I think you just made it more fun for me. Heh.. well... feel free to visit any time. I work at the shopping district. You'll easily find the place I work at there. Im kinda bad at explaining places and directions, so its really the best I can tell ya"
After they talked about music from the beach, Chise said that she didnt mind what he sang. Although she said she would have found it funny if he sang something more hardcore
"Ehh...singing about some stuff may not be... beach friendly. But I might use metal lyrics with a happier tone next time. Luckily not all metal songs are about death. Some of them are... about issues and they're helpfull to me. Helps me relieve stress in a non aggressive way."
Later she said she was glad he picked to quietly sing the other song and even thanked him. Which made him smile
"Nah...thank you. You've been good company kiddo"
G actually remembered that as they neared UA that he kind of left a certain punching bag at a park. He then shrugged it off
"I borrowed it. Who says I have to return it right away. Kids could play with it and punch it" he thought

Chise was glad she was able to do something nice for G, even if it was something small like this. "It's no problem really. You should always have fun working with something you care about, in your case it would be music." Chise wasn't the best at directions either but she was sure she would find the place if she only looked it up via a search engine. She's never been to a music store before, who knows what wonders she might find there!
Chise nodded her head in agreement when G talked about singing along to different songs on the beach, "Yeah, you have to be careful what you say, or sing, around others as they might take it in a different direction than what you are trying to convey. Some songs are good to sing to help you through the day whether that be to relieve stress, fall asleep, or even just to listen for fun, music is a very influential part of our lives," the redhead said with a grin.
Chise turned to G and smiled. glad to hear that her company was welcomed and not bothersome to the older. "You've been company as well G, or should I say sensei," Chise snickered, finding her own bad joke funny. "I'm excited for when the next time we'll meet. Gotta start building up my muscles if I ever want to learn your martial arts skills!" The redhead cheered, soon approaching the front doors of the dorms with the white haired man. Chise turned to G one more and spoke, "This was really fun tonight, even if I almost did pass out and hurt my hand, it was still a lot of fun!" the redhead said with a chuckle and a smile before looking up at G. "You have to make sure to stay in contact so I know when our next training session will be. Don't forget!" Chise said eagerly. |

They arrived at their destination and it was their time to go their seperate ways. Chise was good company. And G was glad that he was good company for her. To think he has an actual student now. He cant wait until Chise learns something and becomes the pride of her class. He bets that everyone would be shocked and in awe of her. And her teacher and parents would be proud too. The idea of that happening just makes G smile. He couldnt wait until that time
"Ye. Dont worry. I'll stay in contact. I'll call you when Im free. Even if its a few days later, dont worry. I wont forget about you" he said to reassure her that she will be on his mind
And now it seemed that everything was said and done. She had to go. So he gave her a final goodbye. By hugging her
"See ya next time. And be careful. After all, you're my new student. And if you need anythin, call me. Ok?" he then let her go from the hug
Well. After all that. G just waved bye to her and went home to try and rest a bit, before going out again to patrol

I really enjoyed this thread, it had a nice mix of humor and heartfelt sentiment. I actually do look forward to hearing more from the makeshift master and apprentice relationship you guys are forming. Hopefully, I get to be the person who reads the next one.
