Training at Twilight || G

    Chise felt G's arms catch her before she had the chance to fall, looking around as he carried her to one of the nearby benches the park had. She continued catching her breath but still felt tired and hoped her narcolepsy wouldn't kick in right now. She appreciated that he was trying to help her, trying to fan her with his hands in means to cool her down. " s'ok...just need medic-" before she had a chance to finish her sentence, she felt a blast of cool water hit her body, waking her up for now. Chise didn't even now G told Goliath to do that...probably figuring this was the only way he could help her. Chise blinked a few times before she stared at G and Goliath, spitting out some water that had gotten into her mouth. "W-Wha? Huh?" Chise said, still quite out of what had just happened.

    "Y-Yeah I'm conscious...just a bit shocked is all. The water did feel nice though," Chise said with a soft chuckle. "My medicine is wearing off, I just need to take another dose. If you could get me my bag or take me over there 'll be better within a few moments," Chise told G. She wasn't sure if she should tell him about her condition so she would keep it to herself unless he asked. Wouldn't want something like this to happen every time they trained now. At hearing G wanted to take her own, Chise spoke up, "No no I'm alright...I can still keep training...I just need a small break and my medicine is all! I can't quit yet!" They had only been out here for an hour, she couldn't just call it quits this early in the game! Chise reached her hand up to Goliath to pet him, "Thank you for worrying about me," the redhead said with a soft smile.

    Chise looked at G and couldn't help but laugh, it was quite amusing to hear him say how serious her condition was when in reality it was just annoying to deal with. Chise wiped a stray tear or two from her eyes before she calmed herself down enough to talk, "Honestly it's not that big a worry G. I was diagnosed with type 2 narcolepsy which is essentially just excessive sleepiness but no cataplexy. Cataplexy is the thing that most people associate with all people who have narcolepsy as it is a loss of muscle tone. People who have type 1 are the only ones to experience that, I was diagnosed with type 2 at an early age. So all that really happens to me is I fall asleep on occasion during the day but after a short time after I wake up, I just feel tired again. Trust me, I would let you know if I was unable to train. We're in this together G," Chise said with a big smile.

    Chise was surprised to hear that G also suffered from a sleep disorder but his was the complete opposite of hers. "Well, it really does seem like we make a good match, a master who can't sleep and a student whose always falling asleep," the redhead said, laughing once more. "Also, I apologize for misjudging you. I was stepping way over the line and it was very inappropriate for me to accuse you of something you weren't. You can give it to me, don't hold back," Chise said, her smile turning to a frown as she looked down at her lap to avoid eye contact with G, soon closing her eyes and waiting for G to do what he needed to reprimand her.

    Chise was ready for whenever he was to discipline her...but it never came. Instead, all she could feel was his hand petting her head, making her open her eyes to look at G as he did. She wouldn't talk back or yell as she believed this was her punishment. She softly puffed out her cheeks, feeling them heat up and turn red at the head pats and petting she was receiving. "A-Alright..." was all she could muster in that moment, taking the head pats but still disliking them.

    She was a bit relieved that G agreed to put their differences aside, glad that they could start anew. "It wasn't any trouble, I like baking so it was rather fun for me as well. I might have gone a little overboard and made way too many but I wanted to do something as thanks for agreeing to train me and taking care of me last time we met," the redhead said, a soft smile appearing on her lips. She looked at G and listened to him talk...man did he sound like a dad right no. Chise snickered, finding his 'dad language' quite amusing, reminding her of her own dad. At the mention of her parents, Chise spoke up, "They wouldn't want me to be sad either...I was devastated when I didn't get into the school I wanted but my parents enrolled me in U.A., not wanting me to give up on my dreams of being a hero. I don't know what I would do without them," Chise said with a soft smile.

    Chise listened to G talk highly about her parents and that she should be happy she has loving parents like she does. It made her feel happy knowing how much her parents loved her and how much she loved them in return for everything they have done for her. "I will, I love them to much to ever do something to make them angry or upset," Chise said before turning her eyes to look at G. "I bet your daughter is proud to have a dad like you in her life. I don't know how your situation is with her exactly, but I can tell you care about her very much and I'm sure she feels the same way about you," the redhead said with a warm smile.

    She was surprised when he changed the topic rather quickly, not really minding at all, she didn't want to make him uncomfortable in any way by talking about something that could upset him. "It's not too late for me. Sure I go to be around this time but that doesn't mean I haven't stayed awake past this time before.  I do live in a dorm though, it's too far from my home to U.A. so my parents allowed me to stay in the dorms. I try to go and visit them every other weekend when they come to pick me up though, although sometimes we're all so busy so sometimes we'll only see each other once a month." Chise told G. She wondered how often G got to see his own daughter that she has still yet to meet.

    "Well," Chise spoke up, "Hopefully soon you'll be able to see her again. It's always a bit sad when I can't see my parents for a long period of time so I understand a bit on how you must be feeling." Chise felt a bit bad that G couldn't see his daughter, whether it be due to the long distance or their busy schedules. A parent should always be able to see their children, even if only for a short time. Chise had an idea come to mind, since her and G's daughter did both go to U.A. and that G knew she went there, she would make her teacher a promise.

    Chise stood up proudly, with her hands on her hips before she looked down at G. She pointed a finger at him and spoke, "I swear with my heart that I will look out for her! I will do what I can to protect her in school! What do you say?" Chise said, changing her hand from pointing at G to being outstretched towards him, waiting for him to shake it in agreement to her promise. She didn't want to see her teacher sad, she wanted to do what she could to make him happy with the time they spent together. Chise was never one to go back on a promise...well there was one time when she was younger when she promised not to eat her friend's pudding cup but she accidentally ate it anyway...but that was besides the point now.

    Chise was glad that she could help someone out, although she wasn't a full fledged hero just yet. Just being able to make people smile and be happy was all she wanted to be able to do. She wondered how her and Miku would meet since they were in two separate classes, perhaps they might run into one another in the halls or be lucky enough to join the same club! Chise shook the thought for now as G had asked her what she wanted to do with their remaining time here at the park.

     Chise tapped her chin and thought for a few moments before turning to Goliath with a smile. "Why don't we go for a small jog and then we can talk and eat some cookies together. How about we make it a bit of a race?" Chise said with a small smirk on her face. "How about first one all the way around the trail and back wins! Goliath could keep watch, the winner gets to ask of anything from the other, what do you say?" Chise said, confident that she could do it although she hadn't raced anyone since middle school. Even back then she was the last to finish, perhaps she shouldn't have been the anchor for the tag team race. It would make things more interesting plus, who didn't like a bit of friendly competition?
