Take a Break [Giovanni & Nimue]

"I was just thinking yea, but also I don't know if I want to swim. I mean no sharks here right?" The last part was a slight tease back, she wasn't afraid of the sea. The sea and all its creatures were beautiful but that did not mean she always felt like swimming. She should actually work on doing something with him, that meant she should actually swim. She would just lean against him, let him kiss her on the cheek and on the lips. She would just see and let him hold her and she would be okay with everything at this moment and she would wait for it. Enjoying the hug.

"I am not really but I want to try." She said but also want to admit that she wanted to try and she should get further into the sea because of that. His chest was cool because of the water and so on, it was better to follow that example, she had her hair up in a bun so it did not mean that her hair would get wet, so that would save her from issues and he kissed her again and she would just allow him to take her along and she hugged him. "Fine fine, let's do it."

She would follow as he took her hand and would just want to make sure they were doing fine, but the lower they got, as in the water reaching up higher, "Okay so what do we do with the ball?" But she tried to keep her head held above the water and not get too much water on her face as that was not tasty and not nice for her eyes. So this was something, she was swimming around a bit as they had gone further but she did not like too much of it, though it wasn't seen on her face.

She wanted to interrupt Giovanni that she was just teasing and yet looked amused that he was taking her so serious and that made her giggle a little. "I know that honey, don't worry." She would just watch him and look surprised when he asked bout yachts, "A yacht? How? Why do we need a shark sensor? She did not get it and frowned a little because it did not make sense to her and yet she kissed him and just stood there listening. She would just follow him not much later and was actually slightly touched by his childish happiness that she would come along and that he said yay and she smiled at him. Yea, that's what she did it for. She would just follow him as he held her hand and just would ask him about the ball and so on. When that was arranged they would swim a bit.

She wasn't that elegant with swimming but she was doing alright. "Hm, it was quite far from my home though like Cape Town is at the coastline, but we used to go in the weekends a lot, mostly to just chit chat, have a beach fire and so on." She frowned a little while concentrating on her swimming as she did not want the saltwater in her face. "It was always very busy and I always felt so obvious... white." Which was weird to say, she had not explained it before but her quirk had literally made her lose her pigment and change her hair and she took a deep breath.

Eventually, she was getting tired of all the swimming so after quite some minutes she would actually go back to the beach and she would try to get back to her towel in the mess of people. She was exhausted, thirsty as the salt had definitely hurt her lips and throat from the little sips of ocean water she took in. She would see what to do next but at least dry up.

She looked around to make sure no one was close around them when she answered, god she hated this but he was her boyfriend and she was going to explain. "I wasn't born white." She said, and obvious her answer wasn't that she was green, blue or whatever. She had a dark caramel colour when she was born and brown hair, her eyes browner then amber but they seemed to be the only colour that had not really changed. "I turned white when I was six, when I got my quirk and when well everything started." Maybe it was a part of the quirk, the wound on her head, she sort of lost colours and pigment and turned a sort of albino, but there wasn't a real explanation about it. "I am the only one in my tribe, so I always stood out like a sore thumb." Here she didn't but being in a group with dark-skinned beautiful people and she sitting in the middle of them was like screaming for attention, so she did not go in bikini's or whatever, she was dressed and hid her legs and all if she was just wearing shorts or skirts. She did not like it but did not say much about that, a little expression on her face though as she continued swimming.

She would turn onto her stomach, legs up in the air and just turn to read something on the magazine that she brought along, but she looked up at Giovanni to see what he was doing. "Oh look, they have a word quiz, want to try?" She went to find a pencil and get the mango pieces from the cool box. She would also get a bottle of water and held it up for Giovanni because they should drink enough. It was quite hot outside and she was glad they found a spot in the shade. "Are you cold?"

She looked up at him, the reason why she did not look was that she felt embarrassed but well obviously it was something to process and all and she would try to explain that it had something to do with her quirk and all and how she hated it, luckily she could not remember much from her days as not a fake albino. She bit her lip while she tried to keep upright in the sea as she could not touch the ground, moving her legs in circles to remain afloat. She blushed a little after he finally said something and it was something she needed to hear and she smiled a little more and would swim a little closer to him. She blushed even more when he called her a queen, and she wanted to complain that he did not get how sticking out was horrible at that time for her but it was in the past, why fight it and she nodded, she would not worry here, it did not apply to her here, she had other friends now and she wasn't known for her darker skin colour here, so it was all okay.

Finally, after some time swimming, they moved back to their towel and she tried to relax while drying up and she would take a pen from Giovanni while moving a piece of mango in her mouth and mumbling the word that they needed for the quiz and she looked up at him and noticed he shivered and thus she asked if he was cold and she raised an eyebrow when he said no. "Well I am." Which he seemed to listen to as he came closer to her and she smiled a little more, it was also easier to show the puzzle together so that worked and she would just lean with her head against his shoulder and try to fill in a word when she thought she found it.

She tried not to giggle the whole time, that might sound stupid or childish but she liked it how he got her attention, hugged her and kissed her shoulders as she tried to do the crossword puzzle with him. It was interesting to see how he thought and how his Italian still slipped in from time to time when he tried to answer and she had to pick his mind to help her get the word he actually meant in Japanese. Sometimes she mumbled to herself in English but after seven years of non-stop talking Japanese, it wasn't a habit anymore. She would watch him when he moved away from her and flopped onto his back and she looked for a bit before moving her feet back and forth in a swinging motion and trying to figure out the rest of the crossword puzzle.

That did not take her very long, before with Giovanni's help she had already finished most of it so when she was done she put the magazine down and the pen as well and turned to him. She noticed that he was reading, which was something very attractive to see, only she couldn't read the title, it was Italian. She put her arms on his stomach and leaned her head on it and watched him from underneath the book, "What are you reading?" She wanted to know, she wished she was better at Italian than the small number of words she had picked up from Giovanni, but well she was good at languages. She just did not have the time to actually figure things out and study the Italian language, but it was on her to-do list. She at first thought to surprise him with it, but maybe she should better ask his support to teach her, that would make it more fun as well.

"Hmm." she said softly, "Il Paradiso del Signora?" She didn't say it right, remembering the word of woman, made her say wrong but she just mused and listened and snickered a little, "I don't think that books are forbidden if you are not the target audience, so tell me, what it's about?" She asked as she put her head on his chest and she would draw circles on his chest and listen to his heartbeat until she stopped moving and her eyes got drowsy from the swimming, which took them about an hour and well it drained her a lot and she felt it.

Him brushing her hair even helped her more and she would sling one leg over his and just fell asleep at a quick pace. She got up a little in surprise, it might be that Giovanni had not noticed that she had fallen asleep and she turned her head, put her hand underneath her chin but remained looking at him. "What did you say?" Her voice was soft and drowsy, the weather was beautiful and she had the nicest pillow, what more would a girl want? She got up to get a drink and listened to the repeated question. "Oh ehm, I don't know I left my phone in the car." She rubbed her eye with one hand and took a sip of her drink with the other and just dozed off again a little, she felt her stomach make a sound and she blushed, "Dinner time?"

She smiled happily when he kissed her cheek before she put her cheek on his chest and would listen to him and before she would fall asleep, she would move her finger over his chest until she couldn't anymore and she would just stop and drop her arm on his chest, which was a soft impact and nothing strange, she would just be very close to him as she was a little cold as they were in the shade and yet it was also cosy.

She jolted up a little when she got surprised in her dream because she was woken by Giovanni and she would sit up a little before turning back and changing her position to be half on her stomach and stare at Giovanni what he asked because she obviously had not heard it. She nodded, but eventually got up and explained to Giovanni that she had no idea what time it was as she had no phone or anything with her. She sipped the cold water and she came a little to rest and felt better and she blushed when she heard her stomach and she looked a little surprised when he put his hand on her stomach and got up to kiss her and she couldn't stop blushing and looked from one to another, oh god ehm, too many hospital moments that showed that and she wanted to think about something else. "Yea-" she said high pitched and quickly coughed as if that was the issue. "There is a snack bar there, let's try that?" She would get her clothes and put at least her shorts over the bikini bottom and would try to make sure she was dry enough to put her t-shirt on and untie her hair and she felt a little better when she got that and turned to look, "After that, can we go home?" She was too tired to remain at the beach.
