Well... Now that sounds like a good way to pass an afternoon~ Kanna made a mental note to take Maya up on that offer. And yet to unexpecting blonde, Maya's words would have sounded almost like a confession of sorts, more than enough to make her eyes widen as she turned around and looked out the windows. Even the main deck alone was already more than enough for a good, clear view of the city... Something Kanna would have found undeniably refreshing if not for the drumbeat thumping her chest:
"W-well that explains a lot~...", she replied, doing what she could to sound cheeky, chiding herself for making it all too clear just how unguarded Maya had caught her, idly toying with a loose strand of blonde hair, cheeks reddening, almost fidgeting until a soft sigh of relief finally left her lips, the moment Maya finally gave her the cue to change subjects, chuckling at her rather surprising choice of words, "... And the fact that you consider that a perk is one of the reasons I'm fucking glad i chose you~" So much that she couldn't help but bite her lip and snicker at her words, unable to keep her mind from wandering what kind of good times did her mischievous mentor have in mind... She could think of a thing or two~... Indeed, there were many perks to being a pro hero, from the public acclaim to the generally generous salary... Kanna, on the other hand, thought very little of those: Renown was a nuisance, and with her skills, she could probably make even more than that as a Software Developer. Though she'd hardly call any individual one of them a reason for her heroic path, that didn't stop her smirtk "Just being able to use my Quirk without nobody givin me shit is a pretty good perk in its own right~... Add that to all the others and you're left with a pretty sweet deal in the end huh?"
The more they talked, the more disappointed Kanna felt in knowing they'd soon be forced to put an end to their conversation without reaching it's natural conclusion, though arguably, one might readily assume they could discuss this for hours on end. Time flew by as the ball bounced back and forth with a myriad different ideas for perks or reasons for heroism, those little snickers and giggles coming out more and more as time went on until the blonde could only make a note, remind herself to revisit this topic later: "I'd be surprised if ya didn't so, knock yourself out. Great minds think alike and whatnot~", she'd lost count of just how many times she'd mumbled that little mantra since she'd met Maya, and only imagined she'd end up saying it more and more as time went on.
In the end, she felt quite a lot better about her ambiguous heroism, and a lot more at ease with the battle to come... So by the time Maya reached the top floor and called out to her, Kanna narrowed her eyes and sought the gaze of the hardened Police Sergeant who'd taken charge of Strike team Beta, gesturing her fingers towards the door and nodded. The man got the message quickly enough and nodded back, hoisting his "Everything's ready on your end teach.", once again, Kanna felt that heart pounding anxiety creeping in as she too hoisted her gun and took her position with the rest of the strike team... But it felt different this time... Knowing she was about to have her first real fighting with the mentor she admired so left her hands tingling the whole way through.
As they bode their time and waited for the right moment, Kanna prepared in advance... She'd taken care not to breach the system thus far so as not to tip off their foe, but now, mere instants before a battering ram knocked down the door to where the kidnappers would inevitably be keeping the hostages, the blonde took a deep breath as she cooly used her quirk to slip inside the security, gaining access to the security cameras on the other side: "Two guys guarding the door on the other side... Not really paying too much attention to it either.", she spoke between her lips, raising two fingers as the officer in charge merely nodded and relayed the orders to his men.... And then... CRASH...!! ... Right at the designated time, one of the Officers knocked the door down, upon which the entire squad flooded in, a whole firing squad's worth of barrels staring down the two guards, quickly intimidating them into raising their hands: "Police, drop your weapons!!", they cried out, marching in, disarming, and promptly arresting the two bewildered, unexpectant guards, taking away their guns as Kanna followed along and paid close attention to her mentor's communicator.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Let’s do this then!” The sense of relaxation that had saturated Miss Murasaki’s form while she had her little chat with her cheeky kohai seeming to vanish in a moment when the green eyed girl confirmed her readiness for what came next, while the teen’s teacher still felt a little worry for the safety of her student she tried to push that away and hold faith in the girl she had been training these past weeks as she called for the operation to begin, and launched herself into action because of it. “Good luck guys, I’m counting on you!” Calling out to Kanna and the team as she dipped down and felt the power seeming to building between her thighs like a spring that was tightening with every microsecond that passed by, the young heroine tried not to think about the distance that now separated her from the ground as she threw herself upward with everything she had and her arms around the nearest grasp she could find, but wasn’t done there. Alley oop! Using the momentum that her leap provided with thanks to the short distance she had to travel through it, with her deceptively strong forelimbs holding her in place the dark dish wheeled her lower body around and crunched those steel-hard abs tight so that she could line her feet up with the reinforced glass screen that sat in the way of her entrance to the tower, and hammered her heels deep into it. Bet they’d never expect to get a window breach from this high up?! Maximum might providing her with the kind of strength one could probably draw out of a high powered firearm honed into human shape, though the window was none too happy about being breached and she would probably pick up a scratch and scrape on her calves for doing so Maya smashed her way into the top deck of the tower with a relative sense of ease, and was eager to see what was waiting for her within it. I just hope my hunch was correct here? Otherwise I’ll have to haul ass back down as fast as I can…? Bursting into the ‘bubble’ that sat right on the very peak of the Tokyo landmark she had spent all that time pushing and pulling her way up with gusto, in all honesty Miss Murasaki wasn’t sure if the reckless act she had engaged in was her most daring or most disastrous decision, since it was largely based on the ‘read’ she had on their enemy and a few estimations that she and the people in the tent had made back there. But it really did seem like that ass was the sort who liked to put himself above all others? Perhaps more judgemental than she would ever admit but that fact helping her to see through the mask that the mastermind of this event had been sporting and see something about him that most might have overlooked, that arrogant and high minded attitude that her enemy had shown was not a new thing to the black beauty and helped her to guess what their technologically gifted foe was all about. Kanna had seen through the tricks he had performed with the camera’s by her teacher not lacking for insight either, as she rolled into the lofty nest high above where she had sent her student she knew that if she had picked wrong she would be leaving the green eyed girl facing a monster, however as she heard a sudden commotion around her she quickly realized her gamble had paid off; In every way she had hoped…

"You too, teach. Stay safe out there iight?", spoke Kanna, for once feeling a lot less worried for Maya's safety once her enemies were villains and not the unconquerable force of gravity. In the end though, once bullets started flying and armed men burst into the main deck, the blonde had very little to worry about. The officers all understood her role and her part to play here, and seldom made it so she had to worry about gun toting enemies. Kanna, in turn, had already gained access to the cameras, and merely relayed that information to the two police officers closest to a room stuffed full of hostages: "Hostages on your left. Only one armed guard watching them, but he's just hiding behind the door. Knock it down and he won't see what hit him." In the end, Kanna barely needed to do anything but coordinate the highly competent, well trained and well armed men and watch them do their jobs. Ordinarily, a rebellious delinquent wouldn't be too fond of law enforcement armed to the teeth, but right here... Watching them filled with a reasuring boost to morale. With her information on their side, these guys had ample ability to play their part and keep the hostages secure. "Police!!", announcing their presence as they kicked down the door, the sole guard was quickly disarmed, pinned down and handcuffed as the remaining officer raised his gun and motioned for the hostages to leave, following the safe corridor the rest of the strike team had cleared for them, "Come, you're safe now. There's an officer right ourside this room ready lead you to safety."
One by one, Kanna promptly saw the very hostages she'd been watching through the camera, walking out of the room, mumbling teary words of thank you to the police officers who'd come for them, the blonde included... They didn't even know she was a pro hero... At that moment, it didn't really matter who did it huh? Whether their hero had a gun in their hands on a sharpened quirk... Even the hardened Kanna couldn't help but blush ever so softly and nod, as one of the officers got in touch with his commander:
"Lieutenant, we've secured five hostages. Sending them your way now." True to her role, Kanna relayed the encrypted message to the command tent using her Quirk and the equipment attached to her person, not even lifting a finger, but unsure of how much longer she'd able to keep this up without their enemy realizing they'd reestablished communications with the tower. Quite frankly, Saito's command tent was mostly a decoy here, to buy time until their foe realized the true key to their intel laid within a inconspicuous blonde SWAT. "Well done, guys! Stay sharp and keep up the good work. We'll be out of here be-.bbbbzzzz.... Before you know it!", as the lieutentant replied with that message, all but riddled with static, Kanna furrowed her brow...
Somebody trying to tamper with the message huh? For once, the blonde couldn't help but smirk and mumble smugly between her teeth: "Good luck with that you piece of shit~"

❝ “Good evening guys~” Glass tumbling everywhere around her as Miss Murasaki rolled and twisted her body around to make sure that she didn’t have to spend a moment longer than she had to off her feet, as the dark dish flung herself back to an upright position and slapped her hand onto the hilt of her blade she wore a grin that seemed to be a mile wide, especially when she saw her would-be enemies were up to when she had interrupted them. “Sorry to disturb you but…” A pair of fools looking at her blankly as they went about stuffing their face with items that had no doubt been pilfered from a vending machine or something on the deck below her, there was an odd sense of charm in the way one held a bar of chocolatey goodness and the other had noodles caught in mid slurp and both had seemed to have been frozen in place by the entrance of the ebony enchantress, which she was happy to take advantage on. “I seem to have a delivery here for you…” More than ready to exploit the element of surprise as the astounded adversaries before her stood there in awe and astonishment at the asian amazon’s sudden and spectacular appearance, in one fluid movement she rushed toward the nearest one with a nimbleness and grace that provided just enough time for her to unleash her blade from its sheath, and then deploy it to take the first of them out with grace and efficiency. “One big order of ass whuppin~” The sword of the sable siren slicing through the air but our pugnacious pro minding her P’s and Q’s enough to be wielding it in a reverse fashion, as the shaft of steel slammed into the shape that stood near her bones would be crunched and bruises would be earned, but blood would not spill and hopefully life would be preserved as well because of her lenience. Lethal force was a dangerous luxury, not a necessity. “For a ‘U Punks’!”” All the while the warrior woman cracking wise with words that she had probably concocted in the time she had spent in her long climb, with one of her foolish foes falling to the floor the violet gaze of the vixen twisted to his buddy and gave him much the same treatment, in regard to both the beauty and brutality of what she did. Like a ballerina as she arced herself around and whipped a kick across his nose that made the thing rupture like a balloon filled with water, once again Miss Murasaki would show her mercy in the fact that a moment later she snatched the back of his jumpsuit to make sure he didn’t spill out of the window she had just exploded through, before naturally making sure to take care of business by sweeping his feet from under him and slamming his skull into the floor beneath them. Soft enough that the egg did not break, but with just enough ferocity that he would be sleeping this off for some time to come…

...They'd probably get shut down sooner rather than later. Kanna knew that, without a doubt. As they moved on and freed yet another couple hostages from their confines, the blonde knew their enemy had to be getting desperate. The occasional back and forth call she relayed to and from Lieutenant Saito was getting increasingly getting jumbled up: "Lieutenant Saito! ...Lieutenant Saito, do you copy?!", one of the cops called out, eyes widened, a bead of sweat dripping down his forehead as he looked back to the blonde who could only click her tongue, telling her what she already know, "We can't get through...!!"
Yet she wasn't overly surprised by the realization. In the end, Kanna, merely continued with the plan, all but smiling at how so far, everything had gone exactly like she antecipated it might: "So, he finally went and did it huh...?", she mused, hardly deterred or even shaken in any sense, merely looking between each of the strike team members, until her gaze rested on their captain, "Don't worry, we expected he'd do this. Everyone, time for plan B."
All of a sudden, whatever anxiety the men might have felt gave way to a renewed sense of focus, nodding back at her and continuing with the mission, each of them undoubtedly thinking back to what the intern known as Binary had told them a few minutes earlier:
"...But if the enemy finds us communicating and can't tell what we're saying, his logical next move will be to shut it down. We know they can do so from within the tower, and block off all access from the tent. And that's the main reason why I'll be there with you. From that point on, I'll be not only your enigma machine, but your comm central..." Having a command tower, or, well a tent in this case, was a luxury the strike team could use, but didn't necessarily need. Unlike what the enemy needed, so long as they were able to coordinate, they could perfectly come up with a solution using only the resources they had on hand. They might have looked almost blind blind to anybody who might check the security cameras, moving around carefully instead of the pointed attacks on any room that had hostage, acting very much like they'd just been robbed of their commander. And at that moment, Kanna heard a telltale rumbling from above, a clear sign that the elevator had just been sent on its way down:
"...It will take the enemy a while to realize what we're up to and how, so that shutdown would be a critical part of the plan, an opening to strike. After they shut us down... They'll think we're helpless and will try to move in for the kill. It's important we let them think so for as long as we possibly can."
Hearing this, the team split into groups: One group quickly secured the area where the elevator from the top floor would arrive, while the other group slowly moved closer to their designated positions, as if unintentionally, with Kanna using that moment of calm before the storm to pinpoint the locations of the remaining hostages.

❝ Two down, god knows how many left to go? A sigh of relief escaping the mouth of Miss Murasaki as she looked down at the two goons she had thrashed in record time, while she had to admit that it was nice to have a chance to catch her breath in a place that was a little less likely to send her spilling to her death due to a misplaced step, all the more so the martial minx found herself feeding off the adrenaline that was flooding her system as a result of that hot paced action. Hopefully Kanna and the cops are having as easy a time thus far as me? This the thrill that she craved daily, and the one that she had been chasing ever since the day that she had described to her star student only minutes ago, though she was still a little anxious about the success of her prized pupil the pugilistic pro found that there was no better medicine for her worries than the chance to let loose a little of the prowess that she possessed, and no easier way to cope with uncertainty than to take her own fate into her two hands. I wonder if she ever expected to be leading a police strike team? As such feeling upbeat as she heard some more voices echo toward her from a none too considerable distance and even excited by the sound, as Maya’s mind lingered on the green eyed girl downstairs she herself clenched her fist and sheathed the weapon she had in her hand, before looking above her. I sure as hell didn’t when I was her age? Hopping into the air as she saw a shadow and then another move toward her in the dim light and grasping what she found beyond her head, the ebony empress felt glad for her experience in these kinds of situations as another pair of grunts appeared with automatic weapons in hand, and loomed with her back to the ceiling whilst the drew near with her fists and feet denying the efforts of gravity to bring her back down. But I know she’ll do a great job… Most skilled soldiers ready to face an enemy in front of them and able to react to attacks from the side or even the back if they were trained enough, what few people seemed to consider in a fight, especially one in so constrained an environment as this, was the possibility of attack from above or below, and on this occasion Miss Murasaki favoured the former. She’s one of mine, after all~ Dropping down to exploit the element that she had honed so well by this point known as surprise once more and using that initiative to lay down an axe kick upon the head of the mook that she had descended upon, a moment later the woman had looked up and locked eyes with her next target with yet another smile on her face, and then she lunged at him knowing she could handle anything he had to offer…

Just how was Maya doing up there...? With more than 150 meters between them, even someone with sharp hearing like Kanna Kusanagi couldn't quite rely on her senses, and as much as the thought left her clenching her fists, she refrained from calling her up on her communicator. For all she kne, her marvellous mentor might be engrossed in one fight or another, unable to spare her focus like that. So in the end, Kanna took a deep breath and focused on the battle to come. "That's it, come on now... Just a little longer.", unwilling to tip off their foe so early into the fight, Kanna stuck close to the Sergeant alongside two other officers, coordinating the others who'd fanned out seemingly aimlessly throughout the main deck, as if blindly feeling their way around. Behaving as though they had no clue where the hostages truly were, Kanna hoped to keep the mastermind from changing his plan at the last minute, at least, until they dealt with the threat riding the elevator down. Still having access to the cameras, the blonde could see everything happening in that room, and when the doors opened, she rested her hand on the Sarge's shoulder: "Do it...!!", and all of a sudden, the defeaning, rumbling sound of gunsfired pierced through the unsettling quiet. She could see it, a man clad in a chinese styled clothes, idly moving his hands as he darted back and forth between the pillars, showing no intention of surrendering anytime soon, until the very swiftness of his motions caused the cops to open fire. Kanna couldn't quite see just how the guy was actually fighting, but... So long as the cops could hold him off, they'd win. For the moment the shooting started, the remaining members of the strike team made a beeline for each and every last room with hostages inside, freeing the captives and promptly escorting. "We got 'em...!!", added the sarge, a triumphant smile drawing on his lips as he stayed behind with Kanna, a last ditch defense against the enemy interloper in case they somehow happened to fight through the first layer of defense. The blonde clearly wasn't as optimistic as the Seargeant, shaking her head, gritting her teeth as she looked through the camera feed, watching the firefight live from only a scarce few meters away, as it took place behind closed doors: "Not yet... We still dunno how he beat the others... Oh...?", at that moment her eyes narrowed as she leaned in, looking just a bit closer at the camera. For a moment there, she could spot a little glimmer on the screen. Just her imagination...? No, she had the impression most people could have never noticed such a tiny detail through a camera feed, "What the fuck is that...?"

❝ Fists or firearms, a weapon is only useful if you can point it at your enemy~ The fingers of the fox shooting forward as she launched herself at her enemy with speed and strength, whilst it would have been rather easy for her to lay out a nice hit with her hand or her heel on this occasion Miss Murasaki chose to prioritize disarmament over destructive potential, and with that in mind gripped the mitts of her adversary and pushed them upward into a relatively safe direction. Bullets always dangerous, for herself or the people that might be inhabiting this deck, it felt important for the expert in infiltration to limit their potential as she pushed the gun she faced out of the way and then followed up with a head-butt, and for once in her attempts at trespass was not wholly dissatisfied as a commotion was caused by her deed. Glad to have the little communication buds in her ears as the rifle seemed to burst into life as its trigger jerked and as such not left with quite so noticeable a level of ringing in her ears as a result of this fact, though usually the loud sound of gunfire would have been something that the sable siren tried to avoid, on this occasion it could prove useful. In a weird way wanting her enemy to know that they weren’t alone anymore because she wished to act in her own manner as a decoy from what was happening downstairs, the shrill crackle of projectiles being compelled into motion was something that Maya could exploit in order to do what she usually avoided; drawing attention to herself, and leaving her enemy wondering in which direction they needed to commit their forces. For the time being however the attention of the amazon focused on the adversary lying before her, with the sharp tug of her hand she snatched the shooter away from the soul who tried to exploit it and then followed up with something that was a little less delicate and dance orientated than what she had used thus far; a simple, but effective use of her forehead. Smashing the nose of the ne’er-do-well as she bashed him with the brutality that only the bonnet could deliver, as he reeled from the attack Miss Murasaki spun around and hammered her heel into his stomach to blast him with enough force to send him smashing into the wall behind, and then slump down to the ground at her feet. But regardless, I wouldn’t be caught dead using this kind of thing… Left for a moment in her own company as a result and with one gun in her hand and the other on the floor nearby, after eyeing the launcher of hot little pockets of lead for a second the sable siren hummed to herself before ripping the magazine out of it with brute force, and then bent the barrel at a right angle as well for good measure to ensure it wouldn’t be used again any time soon. Not enough style for a woman like me~ Repeating her action a moment later as she mentally denounced the path of the gunslinger in favour of something that felt a bit more comfortable to her, once the guns had been taken care of she flicked her hair and set off deeper into the ‘nest’ that sat atop Tokyo Tower, wondering what she would find and ready for just about anything…

Tch...! Even heavily armed Policemen could hardly hold back this mysterious opponent. But even worse than that, Kanna couldn't quite see how he actually did it. She saw him taking over behind a pillar and just stay there, until even the officers could only cease fire and conserve ammo. And then, out of nowhere, one of the man dropped down to the ground, right from behind the barricade, until the blonde's eyes shot wide. Equally startled if not more so, one of the officers reached for his communicator and spoke up:
"We have a problem here...!", he said, almost frantically over the radio, enough for Kanna, Sarge, and every other officer in the vicinity to reach for their earpieces. And the blonde more so than anybody else could clearly see him over the camera, gripping for his arm. Taking a closer look, she could once again see that odd, barely noticeable shimmer, and finally saw it...
The man's odd throwing motions, without any visible projectile on screen. Needles...!! Kanna gasped as she finally saw it, from the way one of the offers gripped on to his own arm as it went slowly went limp, like venom slowly seeping through his body inch by inch. Whether he'd only been hit lightly or whether he was just a bit heavier than his peers proved utterly inconsequential in the face of the unflinching truth of the man's defeat, and the troubled look in the eyes of his peers, starting with his superior. In the end, it was Kanna who jolted him back to reality, calling out and resting a hand on the man's shoulder: "Poisoned needles. That's how he's doing it. And I'll bet you that's exactly how he brought down an entire strike team without firing a single bullet."
Thankfully, they still had the advantageous position here. With a single nod, the Sergeant commanded his two men to move forwards, until they both took their position behind the doors from where their target would come from. Taking his place close to Kanna, the man paid a close eye on the screen the hacker carried along on her phone, carrying on his commands to his men:
"Here he comes...!", spoke the sarge, commanding his men to take cover. Between vending machines and the odd piece of furniture here and there, they had plenty to barricade themselves behind...
But if their goal was to stop their speedy foe from interfering with the ongoing rescue operation, they couldn't simply lie in wait, and Kanna knew that. As challenging as the foe before they might seem, they had no choice but to stop him, here and now, or at the very least stall him out just long enough for every last hostage to leave the premises.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Heeeeiii!” A short, sharp and slightly shrill cry exploding from the lungs of the lilac lady as she buried the base of her blade’s hilt into the belly of an enemy, behind her stood or more accurate laid a wake of destruction that even the dark dish was proud of, with enemies spilled all over the place like the flat stones used to make a path across a pond, or in this case the route to one’s target. Like bulldozer though perhaps with rather a large helping more grace and beauty than that image might have otherwise embodied, Miss Murasaki had smashed her way through the guards that had been stationed on the top deck with relative ease, picking them off one at once at first before going for this mad rush upon the last group that seemed to separate her from her quarry, and all too quickly took care of them as well. “Hey there stud~” Nudging what looked to be last of the bodyguards of the mask-wearing mastermind over now that she had winded him and left him retching for breath, after taking up the gun he had been carrying and stripping it of a magazine that she would then immediately toss back behind her, the black beauty looked toward the person she had seen down in the tent a time ago that seemed far too long, and smirked as a result. Quickly realizing he was far less impressive in person than she had been expecting as he stood there, clutching a pistol in one of his hands whilst the fingers of the other seemed to trail away like cables and into the wall, though she could not see the expression that the so called boss of the tower wore due to the mask he was wearing Maya could guess what it looked like, especially after he squeezed that trigger in panicked defiance of her attempts. “Not quite so cool and confident in person, eh~?” The belch of brimstone sending one and then two sharp claps through the air and compelling lead to lurch forward as a result, even though the response of the raven meant that her limber form was practiced in weaving her way around them it seemed that the entirety of the ebony enchantress’ efforts were not really needed given how bad an aim he seemed to be, which she could welcome as a blessing in the circumstances. Dashing forward as that angry steel whizzed through the air ineffectually and at worse only suffering the harm of having a few stray strands of her long hair separated from the bunch as a result of that poor close quarters aim, Miss Murasaki narrowed her eyes as she pounced on her foe like a panther and wrenched the gun from his grasp with a degree of roughness that produced a somewhat satisfying crunch as she broke a finger or two doing so, and heard him wailing as a result of this. But she wasn’t done just yet. “Never meet your heroes, I guess?” Smirking again as she took that warm barrel into her hand and then used the grip which she had just ripped from his grasp like a weapon, Maya smacked him across the nose in a fashion that was restrained and almost ‘gentle’ by her usual measure, though was still enough to knock him clean off his feet and even make him howl with even more pain. Which was nice really in its own way, but not something she would have all that much time to savour any longer…

The other two police offers with them took the lead... But Kanna had hardly any hopes after watching him take down those many men and then more, even with them barricaded behind far more favorable a position than a mere bunch of bookshelves. They did help buy some time while Kanna kept up woth her role of coordinator, relaying comms back and forth between the strike team members. She didn't really have to do anything but for the most part focused as much as she could on doing her job right, at least, until the other two cops were defeated. Kanna clicked her tongue... Guess it was down to her huh? Clenching her teeth, grateful for her ability to leave her phone fulfilling the coordinator role, the hacker narrowed her eyes and steeled her resolve. But before she could fully step out from behind the vending machine, somebody stopped her: "No, stand back... Watch.", spoke the Sargeant, moving past her, shooting an assertive look into her eyes for the briefest of moments before turning the whole of his attention to the foe before them. Kanna knew that look all too well... Perhaps she'd even shot it to other people in turn at different times. Don't worry, I go this. You're too important to get taken out so quickly. Yeah, defenitely that kind of resolute look, brimming with confidence, a keen understanding of what had to be done... But there was something else to it as well... Kanna knew it of course, she understood all too clearly how the longer she sat back and watched the foe before her, the greater her odds of success in case she wound up having to take over the fighting. With her quirk and analytical abilities, the more likely she'd find patterns in the enemy's movements, get a feel for his flow, how he used his quirk. "Don't... Don't go down too quick, iight?" That said, the hardened Police Sergeant had no intention of losing here. All but smirking at the bratty blonde's remark and taking it for the unusual kind of encouragement as he stood before his foe. Clearly not thinking much of his new opponent, the man merely charged, tossing his needles at the Seargeant as he strafed left and right, determined to avoid standing in his line of fire. Except there wasn't any line of fire. The moment the cocky needler stepped inside the man's radius, he sprung forward like a freight train, smacking him across the face with the butt of his assault rifle. Unconcerned about the needles thrown into his chest in retaliation, he swiftly proceeded to follow up with a brutal roundhouse kick to the gut, driving his leg into the guy's chest and kicking him all the way back along the hallway: "As I thought... Poison takes a while to kick in doesn't it?", he said, standing his ground in the middle of the hallway, whipping out his handgun and pointing it menacingly at the downed enemy's head, "Don't move kid. Unless you wanna suicide by cop, you're going back in the slammer." Well fuck... That was kinda impressive... For a moment there Kanna actually thought he might hold true to his resolve and ensure the hacker could focus on her role, eyes widening as she kept her word and watched closely... Close enough to spot the faintest, barely noticeable trembling in the man's grip.

You sure you can keep up with a woman like me~?
❝ “Sorry to say, but…” Tossing the gun away with a slight sense of disgust at even having to use it in the crude and brief fashion that she had already, Miss Murasaki smirked slightly as the mastermind squirmed and groaned on the floor beneath her, and as he seemed to try to crawl away despite the dazing strike that he had been handed out quite generously the dark dish hummed before planting her heel down on his back to deny such an effort with little of her own. “Seems like you’re under arrest, sugar!” Those strong thighs and the other magnificent musculature that the martial minx could call upon more than enough to overpower him, the pugnacious pro leaned forward and placed a little of her strength and weight on the frame of the fool as she quoted a line from an old movie or something that she had caught on late night TV once and had always wanted to use, and knew that if she pressed too hard he might just pop like a grape or something. However on this occasion she chose not to push him to that point since it would probably be pretty gross to see really, and might get her in trouble as well for police brutality, or something of that ilk. “Now, how about we see that pretty face, eh?” Instead consoling herself by taking the opportunity that immobilization provided her with in order to lean that bit further forward and wrap her delicate digits around the mask that captain computers wore, while one of her mitts placed her blade back on her back the other provided the black beauty with just enough leverage to start teasing that cartoonish effigy born of rubber away from the head of the leader of the gang, and was just about to prize it off fully when something rather rude happened. “Dafuh?!” In the midst of finally getting an answer to a question which had bugged herself and the people in the tent from the beginning but being denied that by the sudden intrusion of something heavy that rammed into her from behind, while Maya was strong and sturdy enough even she couldn’t hold up that well to being blasted in her blindside, and as such was knocked off her course rather unceremoniously by the sudden and rather unexpected attack she suffered. Though she did manage to keep a prize in her hand, even throughout all this. “Gunnfffff!” The mask that Miss Murasaki had been teasing off seeming to prefer to stick in her fingers than on the face of the fool that she had floored, as the girl rolled she unconsciously gripped the item in her hand and took it with her as she bounced along the ground, however for the moment she suddenly had much bigger concerns than getting a cheeky glimpse of what lay beneath the item she had taken with her. Gonna need to hit the brakes soon, huh? Instead rather occupied with the fact that such a heavy hit had sent her barrelling toward one of the many windows in the glassy donut in which she had been fighting, even with her toughness she knew she would be rather sore all over if she fell right off the top of Tokyo tower and would probably never live it down with her blonde buddy either, and as such needed to act sooner rather than later to stop herself being rather tremendously embarrassed…

"What the fuck are you talkin about? If one needle isn't enough...", and with these cocky words, the man sprung into motion once again, a shit eating grin plastered on his face. Like a jackal standing before his dying prey, he all too easily picked up on his foe's weakness and sprung to motion, dashing to the side, "...I always got more where that came from~!!"
Granted, that little exchange wasn't quite as painful as the enemy would have hoped for... The moment he moved suddenly, the hardened Police Seargeant's reflexes responded on sheer instinct, pulling the trigger and shooting a merciless round into the rogue quirker's head. And yet, between the shooter's trembling hand and the villan's swift, catlike motions, he was more than able to escape with his life. And yet, he couldn't get away fast enough to completely avoid the deadly projectile: Instead, the bullet grazed his arm, shooting through his shoulder, weakening him as a steady stream of blood soon began trickling down the wound, undeniably visible courtesy of the vibrant blue shade of his Chinese shirt:
"Tch... You cocky little...!!", letting out a grunt of annoyance, the cop unleashed not one bt three more shots in pursuit of his foe, clearly aiming to make good on his threat. But with every passing second, his reflexes grew weaker, slower... Kanna too couldn't help but click her tongue, grittting her teeth at the sight before her... The longer the fight went on, the more the cop's chances drastically crumbled in the face of the venom coursing through his veins. That didnpt stop him from trying, but even as good a shot as him hardly could get yet another hit in against a speedy foe, one all too eager to dart around at every last little chance, until the moment came when he finally dropped to his knees, his arm much to limp to ever hold his gun up: "You got awfully confident didn't you...? Despite being just a pitiful human...", teased the man, scoffing as he walked up to his defeated opponent, a hateful glare plastered in his eyes as he swung his arm down, pulling out yet another handful of needles as his deceptively strong arm hoisted the incapacitated policeman by the scruff of his bulletproof vest, "What would be a fitting punishment for you hmmm? Perhaps I should just put your eyes out?" With a menacing, hateful tone, he raised his hand and pointed those needles at his face, intent on castigating his downed opponent for the hubris of standing up to him.

❝ “Hrrrrnnnnggggh!” The risk faced by the ravishing raven never clearer than as she rolled toward a quick exit via the medium of glass, whilst her reflexes proved enough to stop such a disappointing end for the dark dish as she kicked herself off the floor and then snatched a nicely placed rail in order to prevent her further progress toward the window in a fashion that provoked a little gurning from her, she was certainly left with her mind and heart racing as a result of her near miss. Damn, I really am fighting balls deep in the Danger Zone, eh? Perhaps also demonstrating the fact that her prized protégé was having a bigger impact upon her as a rather choice set of words flashed through the mind of the feisty femme as a result of her save, after getting a look at that fall she had avoided Maya let out a breath and then straightened herself up to look toward where she had come from, and who had helped her perform that rather ungracious action a moment ago. King Kong finally makes his appearance, huh? In a weird way feeling like she was relieved when she recognised a hulking shape who seemed to be standing a meter or so from the mastermind that she had so very thoroughly routed a moment ago, the violet vision of the vixen washed over a mammoth figure in a gorilla mask she quickly recalled seeing the same soul on the monitor when she was in the tent, and soon after recalled how imposing he had seemed to her because of that. “Heh, I was wondering if you’d show up~” Not afraid exactly of what he might have been able to do to her but rather the impact that he might have had on the people by her side if he had managed to get his meaty mitts upon them, Maya felt glad that her guess was right when she had assumed that the man in charge would have kept such a powerful minion close by as a bodyguard because it meant that she would face him in place of her student, which was gratifying for reasons beyond her usual desire to have fights with people who could take her to the limit. Better me than her, right? Part of the reason she had felt so worried about separating from her student the simple fact that the distance would mean she would be ill-positioned to bail the blonde out if she went up against someone she couldn’t beat, now that she knew that Kanna was ‘safe’ from this meaty menace Miss Murasaki felt herself relax a bit more, though that was probably not apparent in the way that she raised her dukes as a result of the feeling. “Gotta admit, when I saw you on that screen I knew you were the sort of guy that I’d love to get my hands on~!” Instead that feeling of relief only driving her desire to tangle with this titan and take him down in order to prove her prowess to both herself and pupil that waited for her downstairs, with a smirk the sable siren cocked her head and then set off toward him at her maximum pace to lay him out with her full degree of power. After all, she’d had enough of the warmup round by this point, now hadn’t she?

"Tch...!!", Before Kanna could even think her actions through she just dashed, not about to let the Sargeant get maimed by some piece of shit villain. One might argue that inability to sit by while watching a villain put someone's eye out was the mark of a hero, but for Kanna, that shit was simply unacceptable. She wasn't the kind of woman who could give a fuck about just anybody but... She couldn't help but admire that man and the resolve he'd showed... She'd be damned if he didn't make it home in one piece. Granted, she didn't even announce her presence, leaving it to her foe to react to her sudden, unexpected advance and react as expected: Now, he wasn't firing bullets. The man threw his needles around with the swiping motions of his arms, which meant that, effectively, they were more like melee attacks in that sense... They could be telegraphed, and reacted to. So when she saw him instead swiping his arm horizontally at her, the blonde reacted on reflex. Now just over a meter away from her foe, she dropped down to the ground while pivoting on her left foot, ducking low and turning her body counter clockwise into a right sweep, ducking under his attack as she found him wide open. Her followup came soon after with a strong, merciless right hook to his floating ribs that knocked the wind out of him with a wide eyed groan. There was only so much a small, skinny guy could do, so much resistance he could offer while he was preoccupied with holding a well built police officer in full tactical gear. After the second blow hit, he'd have let go whether he wanted to or not, but Kanna wasn't about to let him off that easy: "Where you goin ya piece of shit?!", she shouted, menacingly as she turned her body into a left uppercut, nailing the off balance opponent in the jaw, and following up with a thrusting left kick to his gut, well and truly sending him reeling, letting her speak up to the downed officer without even turning her eyes from her opponent, "It's iight... I gotchu."
Her uppercut staggered her foe further as he hoped to regain balance, knocking him back a few paces, giving Kanna more than enough time to raise her left leg and fully knock him right back to where he started as she stood between the downed police officer and their foe. "So much for winning gracefully huh?", scoffed the blonde, her lips widening into a taunting, mocking smirk as her eyes narrowed into a glare, "Who woulda thought a pasty prick like you would be a sore fucking loser" And her foe looked understandably pissed off, veins all but popping in his forehead as he found himself at the starting point for the third time, and getting increasingly infuriated with each one. Glaring hatefully at Kanna, he'd all but forgotten about the Cop who aggravated him so, wiping the blood off his busted lip before throwing "Once I'm done with you, no amount police will be able to identify your corpse.", with a menacing tone, he once again swept his arm out vertically, hoping to catch Kanna off guard. But with this distance between them, with so wide and visible a motion, the blonde needed only rely on her speedy footwork, shufling to the left as she avoided the blow, just before she saw her foe spring to his feet and rush forth.
