It had been a couple of weeks since Mizuki last meditated with Yang. The experience itself was quite... different. But if there was a better time to get to know a friend it would be here on the Dagobah Beach, away from the noisy UA school. As much as she loved her brother, she he wouldn't be able to sit through it long enough. He was just to energetic for it. Berker and Kumoko had their hands full with other things and Honey was getting ready for a new year. So she had asked Yang if she would tag along to pick up where they left off and she had agreed They had classes in a couple of days and she wanted to get as much relaxation as she could.
"Here we can have peace and quiet," Mizuki said when she came to a stop at the perfect spot. "Meditation works a lot better when there is no one to disturb us." She checked to make sure both of them were wearing there support gear before rolling out two mats. "I know it has been difficult with having to find your center and all, but maybe a couple of sessions could solve it." She took her meditative pose on one of the mats and patted the other one to indicate for Yang to sit on it. Once Yang had took her seat, she would contiue.
"The goal here is to find your center in the storm," Mizuki said as she put her hands in a prayer sign. "My mother had taught me that a storm is a part of your being- whether it be problems in your life or self doubts. However, you do not cast it away. You pull all those thoughts together to form the storm. And through all that chaos, you look for the center- the things that are positive in your life. By doing this, you can come to terms with who you are." Mizuki closed her eyes. "Now close your eyes and we will begin."

Yang
Yang sighed. Why couldn’t she meditate? It seemed like no matter how hard she tried, she ended up either braking her meditation poise to puke or because she as having a violent panic attack. She just couldn’t understand why this was so damn hard. Almost as soon as Yang slapped on a tee shirt and shorts, Mizuki was at her door. She mentioned about going to the beach to meditate and before Yang could respond, she was already being dragged along for the ride. Or that’s how it felt like to her.
They left before Yang was able to fix her hair into a braid and before she realized it, they were already on the beach. Maybe because she had so much on her mind. It wasn’t took long ago, Yang found out she will be in class 2A instead of class 1A. It was weird to be considered a sophomore with no formal education. This made her anxious, maybe a bit too anxious. She had received a schedule that would have to attend too.
She couldn’t help but enjoy not having to do anything but run and train since she had arrived at the school. She knew this wouldn’t her life forever and eventually she would need to start the school year. Maybe she could attempt to meet her teachers? She dreaded the thought of needing to speak. It was so much easier to play the role of a mute.
Yang blinked, she felt a pair of eyes on her. She momentarily forgot that she was on the beach. Mizuki had looked for Yang’s quirk regulators before placing two yoga mats onto the beach. She then took her meditative poise and mentioned something about finding the center of her storm. Before she realized it, Mizuki was already meditating. She seemed so peaceful. Why was it so easy for her? She sighed and stared at Mizuki for a period of time before sitting on the mat. First she had to relax before she can attempt to meditate. There was a long period of silence. She just couldn’t do this. It was just too frustrating.
“I told you if you have to trust me” Red spoke. Yang renamed the inner voice to Red and it didn’t seem that Red had mind about the name change. Yang sneered how can she trust this personality of hers? She remembered what Mizuki had mentioned earlier. She stated “The goal here is to find your center of the storm.” Yang thought about it. What if Red was the center of her storm? She glared at Red. Red smirked. "No I am not the reason for this storm. Instead you are, it is your fault. All of your fault." It was a brutal response to Yang's train of thoughts. Of course Red could read Yang's thoughts. After all this was more her realm then it was Yang's. Yang was taken back from this statement. She did not like this persona one bit. Red treated her as if she was the persona and Red was the real person. But Yang felt real. All of her emotions and memories...they were hers weren't they? This thought process made Yang very uncomfortable. Who was she? She began to question every moment of her life or the pieces that she could remember. Red has been there the entire time and remembers things that Yang had forgotten or blocked. It was if glass shattered, the sound of glass shattering broke her concentration.
Almost as soon as her concentration was broken, Yang's blood pressure spiked. Her chest felt tight as she gasped for air. Great another issue for Yang to figure out. At least the quirk regulators kept the quirk in check. She could only hope this panic attack would quickly subside. She didn't want to disturb Mizuki. This was painful, almost too painful. How was she supposed to calm herself when all she could think about is the fact that she might be her own center/eye of the storm.

After giving instructions to Yang on what to do, Mizuki closed her eyes and began to drown out all sounds around her. The ocean waves was now but a faint sound. The birds chirping faded away from the inside her mind. She mentally pictured the raging storm in her mind- the problems, the issues, everything. She floated through it, making her way to the center of it. But something felt... different. When she touch the center light, a blinding flash occurred, leaving her dazed for a moment.
Mental landscape
Mizuki found herself in the same dream. The same hallways lined up in a temple made of gold and jade. She followed the jade path looking at the walls as she passed them. The same names were scribed upon them. She had recognized them as the names of her family, starting with hers and his brother’s. It seems that the walls contain the names of her family members. Jokai. Mashi. Tori. Detsu. The names of her family members continued, seeming as though there was no end. What did this mean?
She finally made it to the end of the hallway, which led into a throne room. It was the same throne room she would end up in before she woke up from the dream. She entered into the throne room containing two statues. One of the statues was of a man with a sun on his chest with eight arms. Another was of a woman with the moon on hers wearing qipang with ribbons on her arms and legs. This was where she would wake up, covered in sweat. But not this time. She was in her meditation.
There was a loud rumble throughout the throne room. Mizuki went on guard prepared for what was about to come. Then one of the stone statues began to crumble before her- it was the woman with a moon on her chest. Her skin was light blue with white lines running through it. She had white french braids with two long white rabbit ears sticking out of it and a moon adorned on her chest She seemed to be wearing a quiapong with different designs on it- different flowers covered in different elements that she already knew. The others were blank and hard for her to see. The ribbons on her legs and arms seem to flow like water with the four elements that Mizuki knew.
She took a step forward towards Mizuki towering over her with her massive size. “I have been waiting for you, Mizuki,” the giantess said softly, her white blank eyes fixed on Mizuki. “I was wondering how long it would take you to get here.” Mizuki stared at the eyes, trying to speak… but no words came out. “There is no need to talk,” the being said. “I already know what you are thinking before you say it.” She sat down in front of Mizuki, causing the floor to ripple like water. She crossed her legs and sat in a meditative pose. “The other half of the Haymaker twins. We have been waiting for this for quite some time.”
Mizuki was wondering what she was talking about until she answered, “I am Devi Tsukuyomi,” the giantess answered with a smile. “But you can call me by your nickname-Tsuki. You are probably wondering where you are at.” She waved his arm around, indicating the entirety of the temple. “This is your inner self. Only those who understand and practice the martial art ever get this far. This “temple” contains your memories and your ancestors’ names. They are the people who have mastered the art."
This confused Mizuki even further, causing her to give a puzzled look. “I can understand the confusion and I am here to explain,” Tsuki said with a smile. “I once created the art alongside my brother, Ameterasu,” she said nodding towards the other statue. “I believe your brother has already met him. I can tell that you are really close to your brother and share his ideas of bringing people together. And don’t worry about the whole ‘liking girls’ thing.” Tsuki smiles at Mizuki. “I was paticaularly fond of the same sex myself.”
Mizuki was surprised to say the least. It was like this woman knew her whole life without even asking a question. “My child, I know everything about you. I am your inner self." The center of your continued. “I am here to tell you the true name of the martial art you practice. The reason your father hadn’t told you the real name was he wanted you to discover me for yourself.” She got close to Mizuki. “Don’t worry. I will guide you through this.”
Mizuki nodded slowly, not sure on how she should feel. “Good, then we have a deal,” the being said. As soon as he said it, the words in the hall rearranged in order until all the names were in the “throne room”, with her and her brother’s name in giant gold kanji on the wall where the statues stood. “I am not here to give you more power or anything like that. You need to do all of this with your own power. I am just here to provide you advice. So listen carefully. When you go into the stance, you can call it ....”
End of Mental landscape
Mizuki opened her eyes and spoke the words slowly. "Devi Muay Thai," she quietly. A gentle breeze washed from her, the words of her art now filled with meaning and a purpose. However, she did not have much time to focus on it for too long. She saw Yang panicking, attempting to breath for air. Mizuki put her arms around her, attempting to soothe her. "Easy there," she reassured her. Yang felt soft to the touch and was warm to her. She felt Yang's heartbeat racing in her chest. "You know what- that's enough for now. I think it would be good if we took a break." Mizuki stood up and an idea came to mind. "I have an idea."

Yang
Each gasp was painful. But the words that Red were ever so clear as they echoed in Yang’s mental realm. “It’s all your fault.” What if, just what if what Red said was true? Yang couldn’t handle this, she just couldn’t. The more that she thought about it, the more it made sense. Yang only came into the picture after a certain point in her life. Everything else in her life was a blur. Was she not supposed to exist? But she does exist, what in the hell did that mean? Out of all things this meditation therapy training session that Yang could have gotten from this, she had to question the meaning of her life. She questioned it in great detail actually.
It wasn’t until she felt someone hug her before she broke out of her panic attack. She wasn’t alone. She had to remember that. Yang was here at the beach with Mizuki. Mizuki has been sitting next to her this entire time attempting to meditate as well. Mizuki had mumbled a few words that Yang didn’t hear because she was still panicking but it was as if the hug reminded Yang that it was all okay.
Mizuki was able to read the situation quiet well and mentioned about stopping the meditation for today. She said she had an idea. But what exactly was she thinking? Yang pondered it for a few minutes. They could swim in the ocean. That would be nice. However, she doubted that Mizuki would want to swim in the ocean. When Yang really thought about it, they didn’t even have swim suits on. How would they go swimming in the ocean in their clothes?
Yang blinked and looked at Mizuki. Whatever Mizuki was planning must be interesting. However, before Mizuki could drag Yang off to an adventure. Yang got up from the yoga mat and walked closer the shore. It was several minutes before Yang came back, but she had something in her hands. It was a conch shell. Not only was it big, it was in one piece. From what Yang could tell, it was empty. She knew it was something small but Yang wanted to give Mizuki something for trying to help Yang out.
Yang was grateful that she had Mizuki in her life. She would never know she would make such a good friend at UA. Whenever she gets a moment, she will let Myrkul know that his hopes for Yang to have a better life were successful. So far, Yang is having a better life. Well once she get's past all this mental crap. Who knows when she will do that, Yang knew she had a very long way to go before she could become healthy. But she wanted to try and she knew she wasn't alone. Her hazel eyes with gray fleeks looked at Mizuki waiting for her reaction to the gift. Yang was very excited to see if Mizuki would like this.

Mizuki had a plan to make things better. Well... she couldn't call it a plan. More like what her brother would do if the situation got tough- go with the flow. Musutafa had a lot things to do in it and was still early. She wanted to share all those things with Yang. To show Yang there was more to life than whatever was going in her head. They didn't talk about much of each other's past and they had been friends for weeks. More because Mizuki didn't want to push a sore subject with her new found friend and cause issue between them.
'Not true,' Devi, her new inner self, spoke. 'You know that is not the reason you don't want to go deeper with your 'friend'.' Mizuki mentally blinked a couple of times. 'I have no idea what you are talking about.' Tsuki shook her head at her new found partner. 'Yang might not be able to see it, but I can. Tell her the truth. Tell her- you like her.'
Flashback
"Alright Mizuki," Desmoshi said closing his math book. "I think I am all caught up." He turned to his sister to see if there was anything else she needed him to do. However, he was surprise to see Mizuki looking off elsewhere, lost in a daydream of some sorts. "Hey sis," Desmoshi started concern for his sister. "Everything good with you. You haven't said anything since we started studying. What's on your mind?"
Mizuki snapped out of her thoughts, looking at her brother. She didn't know how to go about what she wanted to say. They had a tight relationship for years. And she was thinking about could ruin that. "I know you won't let it go until I tel you," she said with a sigh. "See... I like this girl..." Desmoshi's "oooo's" somewhat threw her off, but she continued, "But I don't know how to tell her... or the person who might like her." The girl she was talking about was Yang. She knew her brother had a small crush on her. She didn't want to ruin their dynamic if she could help it. But the question had been burning for quite a while.
Desmoshi looked confused for a second, and then shocked after he put it together. 'Crap,' Mizuki thought. She didn't know to do next. That is until her brother gave a huge smile. "If you like Yang," he said very reassuringly, "then you should tell her how you feel. I just want to see you happy." Mizuki was confused about this. "But what about you?" "I'm good," Desmoshi replied. "Besides you two have more in common, and you guys can learn more about one another if you try."
End of Flashback
Maybe Desmoshi was right. Maybe Mizuki should tell her how she felt. But she needed to do this is a subtle as possible. Maybe Yang might not feel the same way as she did. Or she may not be like her in the sense of liking the same sex. As she was trying to sort things out, she suggested to Yang a new plan. But before she could finish, Yang handed a large conch shell that she had found. It was beautiful as it shined in the light, glistening from the water that covered it.
"It's beautiful," Mizuki said softly with a smile. She admired it for a moment before putting it into her gym bag. This confirmed that she needed to continue her idea. "How about a day out into the town? It's still early in the morning, and we have the whole day to ourselves. And you don't have to worry about buying anything. I got it covered." She didn't want to seem like so spoiled rich kid who was trying to buy her friendship, but she did want to show Yang a really great day... and how she truly felt.

Yang
Yang stood there for what felt like ages. She couldn't tell Mizuki that she had almost fell in the ocean. Of course, it wasn't really hard to tell. Yang's clothes were wet from where she attempted to get the conch shell. It was embarrassing but Yang thought Mizuki would like it.
'Do you like her?' Red asked Yang fairly bluntly. Yang blinked. She thought about it for a brief moment. Yang wasn't quite sure what Red meant by that. To be fair, Yang hasn't really ever liked someone in that manner before. She had sisterly love and she loved her father but that as far as her emotions for other people goes. This is something that is definitely different. She looked at Red. 'I don't know.' she answered honestly. How would Yang know that she liked another person in that manner? Let alone could Yang ever tell Mizuki the truth? How could Mizuki handle that? She frowned, it was frustrating.
Yang's hazel eyes with gray fleeks looked at Mizuki. She really wondered about Mizuki. Even though its only been weeks since they met, she barely knew Mizuki. Of course, she is pretty certain that Mizuki has had a hard life with the bits and pieces that Desmoshi has spoken about.
Then Mizuki said something that peeked Yang's interest. She wanted to go to Musutafa but Yang subconsciously patted her her pockets. Money...didn't they need money to do things? Yang thought about it for a moment. She had a bank account that Myrkul always put a deposits into whenever he finished a mission. But, she didn't have access too it. Not yet anyways. Myrkul thought it would be best in her bank information was left in his hands. He felt as though she was too young. However, Yang wasn't sure how to explain it to Mizuki.
But it was obvious she didn't hear Mizuki completely. She looked at Mizuki confused. Did Mizuki say that she would have everything covered? But why? Why did Mizuki want to spend money on her? Yang wasn't sure.
'I guess this will be your chance to find out~' Red said. Yang looked at Red. 'Find out what?' Red rolled her eyes. 'Your sexuality....' Yang blushed. Her what? She tuned Red out before she said anything else that would make Yang feel embarrassed. Of course Yang always questioned what her interests were. For a while she thought she was asexual because she just didn't have any feelings that weren't platonic. Of course maybe there wasn't anyone for Yang to like in that manner.
Yang looked away from Mizuki. She didn't want Mizuki to notice that she blushed about her inner thoughts. One day maybe she would be brave enough to face her emotions face on? But for now, she just want jump over the small hurdles. It was crazy that facing a busy city was considered one of Yang's smaller hurdles but it was. She was introverted and cold. It was hard for Yang to open to anyone.
She knew that Myrkul put her on this path of being a Hero but this was something she questioned on a daily bases. A Hero...she wasn't a Hero. She knew that but of course that didn't mean she had to be one at this point. The point of this school is to train to become a Hero one day. Not right now. Yang had a tall order up ahead of her since she had to overcome so many things before she could honestly say she is a Hero. Of course she will one day have to deal with the fact, she actually murdered people. When that day comes, she wondered what her punishment would be. She sighed slightly feeling the blood settled and her heart slowing in its pace. That question Red asked her earlier had Yang's heart racing when she blushed.
She looked at Mizuki. "Okay let's go" she said quietly. She smiled slightly and loved the idea of going to the city. There were so many places she wanted to visit and of course she could always remember the places for later so she could buy herself somethings when she had access to her own money. Yang began to pack up her yoga mat as she waited for Mizuki to do the same.

As Mizuki was packing her yoga mat, Tsuki took the moment to chide in her mind. 'You like her,' she sang. 'Why don't you just tell her?' Mizuki didn't mind the spirit as much, but she felt kind of crowded with all the advice and egging on she was trying to do. 'I don't want to rush that on her. She might know how she really feels about other people yet,' Mizuki replied mentally. 'We have only known each other for a couple of weeks. I don't want to scare her away.' 'You don't wait to long young one. Time is short,' Tsuki said in a sad tone. This puzzled Mizuki for a moment.
Mizuki gathered her things along with Yang and waited at the bus stop with her. She already planned where they were heading first. While they were waiting on the bus, Mizuki took this moment to talk to Tsuki. 'So what happened?' Mizuki asked her mental partner. She had just met Tsuki but she felt like she had seen her forever due to all dreams she had. Tsuki took a small breath and looked off into the distance of Mizuki's mind.
'It felt like ages ago,' Tsuki started, her blue glowing eye leaking a little. 'I was a small village girl with my brother. We were homeless and we didn't have much to our name. A monk found us and took us in.' Tsuki took a pause. 'She was everything to me. She taught Ame and I so much. She was a year or two older than us, but she knew so much. She was like family to us.' Tsuki looked down, as though she was looking for a memory that was lost to her. 'As time grew, we became my mistress and I became more than friends. Ame pratically told her I liked her. He was so loud when we were young,' she said as she chuckled at though. Then she grew quiet.
This worried Mizuki a bit. 'What happened?' Mizuki asked, fearing what the answer would be. Tsuki looked up as though she was looking at her partner. 'I lost her,' Tsuki said with tears streaming down her face. 'I never even got to say goodbye.' She had a small smile as she spoke again. "Little one. Never take too long to do something. You never know how much time you have left.' At this moment, she went into a meditative pose as she sat down.
Mizuki had a tear come down her cheek. She would never had thought that the most powerful warrior that was told in her stories had loss something so dear to her. It was more than she actually realized. She wiped the tear from her eye as she put on a smile for Yang. "I think I know where we could go first," Mizuki said to Yang as the bus pulled up. She climbed the stairs and asked the bus driver, "The next stop is in Musutafu, right?" The driver nodded his head. She gave a thank you to the bus driver as her and Yang took their seat next to each other.
On the drive to where they were going, Mizuki asked, "So Yang. There is still so much I don't know about you. Who was your family? Where did you come from?" She wasn't sure what response she would get, but maybe she could make some ground.

Yang Yang looked at Mizuki. Was she crying? Why was she crying? Yang was a bit confused. She wasn't sure what to do. However Mizuki seemed to change the subject fairly quickly as the bus approached. She asked the bus driver the next stop and when it was confirmed that the next stop was Musutafu, they quickly found their seats. Luckily there were seats open that had two spots next to each other.
They had comfortably sat next to each other. Yang was enjoying the ride until Mizuki asked a very particular question. It was great Mizuki wanted to know more about Yang but did she have to ask that question specifically?
Red looked at Yang. "In a pickle aren't we?" Of course Yang was in a pickle. How the hell was she supposed to answer that question? Does she tell her the truth and make this probably one of the more depressing bus rides that Mizuki has ever experienced? But then again didn't Mizuki deserved to know something about Yang. Right?
Yang sighed. She looked at Mizuki. "I..." she attempted to speak but it was hard. She looked down at her hands as she spoke. "I don't remember much from when my biological family was alive..." she managed to choke out. This was way harder than it should be. Why couldn't she just tell Mizuki that her biological family was dead and she lived with her adopted father?
"I'm sorry...this is a very touchy subject for me..." she said softly. Red sighed. Of course this was a hard subject for Yang. It was the day they started to become separate people. That rift that eventually tore them completely a part when her sister died from an unknown disease.
Red remembered every moment of it as this new persona became dominate over her body and it has been that way ever since. Why couldn't they just be one person? Maybe Red was expecting way too much from this other persona. They both sighed in sequence. It was interesting that they did connect on some stuff but that was just about it. Yang looked at Mizuki. "I'm sorry I made this awkward didn't I?" she asked Mizuki. It felt more depressing than awkward. But she had to move forward with the conversation. Or at least attempt to move forward with the conversation.
She sighed and looked at Mizuki. "If you don't mind sharing, what about you...?" she asked sheepishly. Yang was trying her best to change the subject and change it fairly quickly.

She could sense it. She wasn't sure how, but she could sense something when she asked her about her family. Sadness? Anger? Confusion? Mizuki couldn't tell. She could sense Yang wasn't trying to keep her out on purpose. Maybe it goes deeper than this. But she wasn't going to push the subject further. Not remembering a biological family had to be more painful than remembering the family you had lost. Mizuki wished she could help Yang find the answers she was looking for.
But Yang's question was a reminder of why she couldn't at the moment. Her family? She loved her family. She loved everything about them. The problem was they were different than her. Her mother was the calm and patient one of the family. The wise one. Her father was more outgoing and known for his great boxing while keeping his vigilante life a secret. And Desmoshi… Well, he was Desmoshi. But what was she? Who was she in the family of the Haymakers?
She looked out the window, watching the trees blur by as the bus slowly sped down the road. She looked at the scenery as though she was searching for the words to give to Yang’s question. “My family and I are different,” Mizuki started, still looking out the window. “When it comes to positivity and being outgoing, I am the black sheep of the family. I tried to be a little like them. But I like being the quiet one. The reserved one.” She looked at Yang. “To be honest, as much as I love my family, I don’t know where I fit in with all of them. I feel like I am- alone.”
Silence fell between the two, thinking or searching for the words to say to one another. The bus came to a full stop as the driver opened the door for a few passengers. Mizuki looked up to see a few of them get off at a stop that she wasn’t going to. “I feel like everyone else knows where they are going,” Mizuki said watching the passengers get off one by one. “But for me- I have no idea where I am going or even heading. I have no idea where to start.”
Mizuki looked out the window again watching the people scattered through what seemed to be a small neighborhood. One of them was a man with glasses wearing a business suit greeting his wife with a kiss at the front door. Mizuki wished that she could have that. She wished she could have the life that most people that were normal could have. She wondered out loud, “Maybe I could have the life that these people have. No cares about impressing anyone. No cares about who they are or what they are going to be. Just happy.”
But she knew that with her being a quirker, that was impossible. She knew those ideals were too impossible to reach. She turned back to Yang and continued her conversation. “Even with me training to be a hero, I still feel like there's more to this than just saving “people's lives and getting the glory”. To be honest with you, I don't know how to feel about this or what to do.”
The bus began to pull off from its stop, continuing to Musutafu. Mizuki said, “I am sorry if that was a lot there. I guess I have been holding it in for some time. I didn’t mean to dump it all out on you. I just wish I had someone to talk to about my troubles.” She stared at her hands, clasped together in thought. “I am always feeling like I have to be the responsible one in the family. I feel like I have to be the one to watch over them and make sure everything is good. I feel like... I feel like I am chained to the responsibilities of my family. I know no one asked that of me but I still have to be the one that makes sure everyone stays together. At the same time, I feel like I don’t have my own identity.”
Mizuki kind of felt bad. She didn't want to dump all her problems on Yang. But she felt like that her troubles and worries had been building up for quite some time and she needed to get it out. And for some weird reason, it felt like Yang understood her better than most people. She felt like she could tell her anything. Well, almost anything. She still didn't know how to approach telling her about her father. I mean, who would want to be your friend after they found out what your father did for a living? Did she trust Yang enough to tell her the truth? Did she trust her enough to tell her that part of her life? Would Yang still accept her after the fact?
As the bus pulled up into Mustafa, the driver made the announcement for all who was still on that this was the final stop. Mizuki took a deep breath and looked at Yang with a smile on her face.. "But that's not here nor now," Mizuki said with a smile on her face "Today is supposed to be a good day and I promise to show you a good day." She got off the bus and made her way down the stairs and waited for Yang to get off with her.
She took a look around Musutafu. It was looking better and better each day. She was slowly getting over the whole “being homesick” issue. And now that will be a lot easier with a friend. “So where to first?” Mizuki asked Yang. She wanted Yang to have the best day ever. No worries about who or what might come there way. Just the two of them hanging out among friends with no interruptions. Musutafu was their playground, and they could do whatever they wanted. As long they were within the law of course.

Yang Yang listened intently to Mizuki. It was surprising, she opened up to Yang so easily while she sat here hiding so much from her. It made her feel quite awful. Red however was a bit curious. She knew her and Mizuki had something in common but she didn't know what it was. But after listening to Mizuki. She could feel some sort of connection there. It actually made her appreciate the fact that Yang had some kind of interest in Mizuki now.
It was so hard to find a kindred spirit. The only difference between Mizuki and Red was the fact that she had a loving family but there was a disconnect because she was different. Red's family was gone. She wasn't getting them back. Instead she has a man that Yang calls father. Myrkul, he definitely was a black sheep. There was definitely more to Myrkul story but Red wasn't sure where to begin with that conversation.
However the three of them could agree on one thing. They had no earthly idea where to being as their life as a hero. Maybe it was fate for them to meet. Maybe Red should pay more attention to Mizuki especially if they were to take this any farther. However the silence between them grew shortly after Mizuki poured out her soul. Yang wasn't sure how to comfort Mizuki. Especially since Yang hadn't even talked to Mizuki about her problems. Why couldn't she talk about her feelings even with someone that she considers as a friend.
Boy this bus trip seemed longer than it needed to be. Maybe because there was so much silence between the two after Mizuki expressed her feelings. It was heavy maybe too heavy. But the bus driver came to the rescue. It was the last stop and they could finally get off because they were here. In the city called Musutafa. Yang could see that Mizuki perked up quite easily. Maybe because now that everything was out in the open and off her chest. It was obvious that Mizuki needed to talk about it. Maybe one day Yang could do the same. Just maybe.
She sighed but looked at Mizuki as she asked what they should do first. She pondered the thought. Now that she thought about it when did they last eat? The very first thing Yang did this morning was her morning jog and then immediately got ready for the beach. She was hungry by now. It would be surprising if Mizuki wasn’t at this point. Maybe Mizuki could show Yang a good restaurant in this city. One that had choices for Vegetarians that were more than salad.
“Hey Mizuki…do you want to get something to eat..?” she asked sheepishly. As felt especially nervous asking Mizuki if she was hungry. Yang wasn’t sure what she was feeling because she never had emotions to this extent. It wasn’t long before Mizuki agreed and they were on their way to a restaurant. Before she realized it, they were already sitting at a table attempting to order food. It surprisingly had a good variety of vegetarian options.
“Um Mizuki…I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to be distant earlier….” she said attempting to make small talk. Boy was this awkward small talk. She brought up the conversation in the bus ride. Honestly it probably should have stayed on the bus. But Yang wasn’t sure how else to start a conversation. So why not explain why she was on the silent end? Of course she could see Mizuki already attempting to forgive Yang because she truly didn’t unload everything onto Yang but Mizuki held onto that for such a long time and felt comfortable enough telling Yang. While Yang remained silent about her past. A lot of it wasn’t a secret but Yang suppressed so much information.
“I just had so much happen in my past, that it becomes really difficult for me to talk about.” she mentioned softly. It was so difficult that her brain literally manifested another personality that could handle the truth. Or was that the original personality and Yang was the manifested innocence that she desperately was trying to regain? Boy this conversation felt so awkward. However it wasn’t long before the waiter came by and got their orders. Since it was a break in their conversation maybe it would be best not to continue it.
“Um…Um” as Yang stuttered desperately attempting to change the conversation. She has never had to speak so much in her life. This was a lot harder then it needed to be. Of course Mizuki was a quiet person as well. This made things slightly awkward. Yang didn’t want it to be awkward. But she didn’t know quite what she wanted with Mizuki yet. Obviously Red didn’t care either way and she definitely didn’t want to help with this situation. Out of all the times Red has wanted control, now that Yang would prefer her to have it she had to be silent. Yang sighed. Why couldn’t she do this?
It was easy for Yang to speak to her father. But she never really displayed emotions to this extent. What exactly was Yang feeling? She wasn’t sure but she sure enough picked up her glass of water and sipped it slowly while they waited on their food. Hopefully Mizuki would be able to pick up the conversation or this would be a really dry first date. Yang blinked. Is that what they are on? Are they on a date? She flushed quite violently at this thought.

Once they had gotten off at the bus stop, Mizuki could feel and hear the bustle fo city life within Musutafu. It was nice to see the people in their everyday average lives and it did her some good to get out. She heard about the place from Desmoshi but never had time to take a look at everything. But now seeing it up close, she could understand why her brother loved it so much. There was so much going on. From the children playing in the plaza to the vendors selling novelties, it seemed that there always something happening here in Mustafa. And she would get to explore all of that with her new friend, Yang.
The grumbling sound from her stomach, however, told her she needed to get breakfast first. In her excitement to see Yang, she had forgotten to grab a small bite to eat and now she was starving. Lucky for her, Yang had suggested grabbing a bite to eat first before doing anything else. "Sounds like a good idea," Mizuki said with a smile. "I know just the place. My brother and I usually go there for our weekend get-togethers.”
Lately, she and her brother had been spending a little bit of time together. Mostly due to how busy they had been at school, so they rarely got to sit down and talk much except for lunch or in the common area. Desmoshi had been working on developing his quirk and martial art more after his performance at the festival, which Mizuki found was a good thing that he wanted to improve himself. But when it came to her, she didn’t know what goals she wanted to set for herself, nor did she knew how she would go about attaining those goals.
As they made their way up the sidewalk, Mizuki looked at the different stores they had. A music store. A bakery. Even a skating rink. There was so much to do here and they had the whole day to enjoy themselves. Just the two of them. This was the first time Mizuki had spent the day with anyone that was not her family. Hell, this was the first time she ever talked to a stranger about her feelings. But for some reason, she felt comfortable around Yang. Maybe because in some ways, she was just like Yang. Quiet. Reserved. Intolerant of loud people. And trying to find their place in a crazy world. Yep, they had a lot more in common than Mizuki realized.
Mizuki stopped in front of a large white and blue building that had a sign that read, “I-Top: Best Pancakes since 1958.” Mizuki had originally done her research on the place before when Desmoshi first suggested. According to a website, they started their business in 1958 in California, wanting to give people the in diner experience with their breakfast menu. In twenty years, they became a large popular chain, expanding out and into other countries. Today, it was still growing strong and made its way into Japan.
“Well, here it is,” Mizuki said getting the door for Yang. She continued as she walked in behind her. “My brother and I come here to talk about school and everything that has been happening lately.” She found a nearby table near the window, the sun filtering through, lighting up the place. “Here is a spot for us.”
As they took their seat, a waitress came by them. “I will be with you guys in just a moment. I just need to get a few things.” Mizuki gave a polite smile. “Take your time, ma’am. We are in no rush, to be honest.” As the woman made her way back into the kitchen, Yang apologized about her being silent during their bus ride. “No, it was my fault for asking the question,” Mizuki replied sincerely. “I should have never asked the question. I, of all people, should understand when someone wants to keep things in the past.” Mizuki looked out the window, seeing a couple of kids running by, excited that their break was coming soon. “I know the past can be a scary thing to confront,” Mizuki said watching the children. “It reveals truths that we cannot accept and sometimes it hurts. But if you can talk with someone about it, then the wounds will heal eventually.”
She turned back to Yang and blushed a little. She really did look beautiful. The sunlight caused her black hair to shine in the light and the grey flecks in her eyes spoke mystery to the young twin. Her pale skin mixed in with the sunlight, making her look like a glowing angel. Mizuki looked quickly downward at the table to avoid the embarrassing moment of her staring at her newfound friend. “I mean, if you want to talk about it, I am right here,” she said her hands gripping her purple shorts tightly in her lap. Why were her palms so sweaty? Why was she so nervous? It felt out of character for her and at the same time she kind of liked it. The feeling of liking someone… it was kind of new for her.
As she looked at the menu to see what she wanted, she wondered what today would bring. There has been times where she would wake up in the morning and didn’t feel like dealing with it. But since meeting Yang, she was given a new purpose to actually try to enjoy life. She would have never suggested a day out in the town with anyone, even with her brother. But with Yang, she felt like she was not the only person in the world who was going through being left out.
As she viewed the menu, the waitress from before came back to the table. Preparing to take her order. “Today we have a special veggie omelet with a nice serving of rice cakes and fresh-made bento if you would like to try it,” the waitress suggested. “That sounds good. Yang, what would you like?” Mizuki asked her friend.

Yang
While waiting for their food, Yang thought about something. Was she really the person that deserves to be with someone? Even if she could be with someone, how could she develop a relationship with that person, friendship, or otherwise? It felt weird to sit across someone who thought a little as she did. She wanted to tell her everything. Every little detail that she hid from people or rather was that Red? Red felt as if though if this relationship would go any further than whatever Yang and Mizuki called it, Mizuki deserved to know the truth. Which Yang agreed to. It was weird there was something that they could agree on for once. Maybe Red had feelings for Mizuki as well? It was hard to tell at this point. Red wasn't quite sure if she ever would feel like this for someone let alone for someone of the same gender. Of course she sounded like a bigot now that she thought about it. It wasn't the past, who the fuck would judge them if they were together?
Yang flushed again. Together with Mizuki...as in hugging and kissing...and maybe more..? Oh her poor little heart couldn't take it. [smear:#8a2be2]"I want to tell you but it's so hard. Maybe I can show you instead?"[/smear:#800000:1] It was like a mixture of Yang and Red spoke as one person. What they were suggesting was taking Mizuki home. But not her home with Mykrul, her actually home or whatever was left of it at this point.
Right her home was in some abandon field that used to be full of life. The only thing that had life around it was the cherry blossom tree that sat on top of the hill. The same tree that became the grave marker for her sister. Maybe that would explain some things about Yang. Of course would it break Mizuki? Mizuki had a loving family even though she felt alienated from it. She had a family and didn't quite know the darkness that Yang has been through. The darkness that Yang committed.
Yang cringed. Right she was not innocent. Which made her ponder why her father was trying to push her to stand in the light when she never belonged to it to begin with. Her innocence was lost when her family was killed in front of her. She had to do to get out alive with her baby sister. Her quirk actually activated that day but she has no memory of it. When she woke up all she could see is the blood covered housed. But her baby sister was unharmed. She grabbed her and a few of her things and left. Eventually she came back to the house and burned it. Burned everything inside so there would be no turning back. It was probably one of the moments that will be forever burned into her mind. Watching everything burn. All of it burned. She made sure to burn it twice so any evidence of human remains was gone. The only thing in that location indicating there was a house was the brick foundation that was laid out for the house and that was it.
After that Yang turned into a street rat, scraping for crumbs to feed her baby sister. She didn't even eat for herself. Most likely if Myrkul didn't intervene when he did Yang would have died from starvation. But she would do it again if that meant she could spend some more time with her sister. The time she had with her sister was so small and to top it off some unknown disease or cancer or whatever the doctors wanted to call it was claiming her tiny sister's life. It was devastating but Yang lied to herself because her sister was alive. Every day she was alive was another day that Yang had with her. But of course it changed. Her sister's life had became critical and she didn't survive the surgery. Another day her quirk had activated but this time Yang had full consciousness of what she was doing and she did nothing to stop it or her emotions.
She gritted her teeth. Could there ever be something between Yang and Mizuki once Mizuki knows the truth? The only way to test that is to tell her one day and see what happens. Worst case scenario Yang is going to be locked up for her crimes. She knew what she did wasn't legal between straight out killing people to the the life of a vigilante. All of it was illegal. Her only grace was that she wasn't caught. How could she trust Mizuki enough not to talk about it? Let alone would Myrkul be okay with another person knowing the truth?
Yang was afraid of what Myrkul would do to Mizuki. There were so many damn questions about Mykrul that Yang didn't want to hear answers to. She would rather live this lie that he is her father than question his true identity. Because Yang just didn't want to deal with another life changing thing. She just couldn't. Of course she snapped out of it as the waiter came up and mentioned today's special.
A veggie omelet with rice cakes and fresh-made bento. Yang was curious about this restaurant that they were at now. "The same" she said softly. Of course now that Yang thought about it. There was quite a bit of silence between them since she last spoke. She sighed as the waiter left after happily taking their orders. "Sorry I was deep in thought. But if you want I would like to go on a trip with you. I would like to take you to my home" she finally stated. Of course at this point Yang's face was a bright color. She realized as she was saying this that she basically wanted Mizuki to meet her father. Would this basically mean they are dating at this point? Isn't this what people do, bring home their potential partner to their parents for approval? Oh boy. Thank God for quirk regulators. She sat there nervously as she waited for Mizuki's answer.

Mizuki was drinking her water until she choked a little on from the question that was asked to her. Did she just ask to come home with her? Isn't that what couples do when they finally get to know each other? Why was she thinking that way? Yang might only want to be friends, not girlfriends. She might be wanting Mizuki to come home with her to see her family as friends. But there was a part of her that was disappointed at the thought of that. She wanted to be more, but she didn't want to scare Yang. She was so confused.
"I... I..." Mizuki stuttered a bit. 'Say yes,' Tsuki cheered mentally. 'You don't just say yes to that,' Mizuki thought to her inner self. 'That's a whole new level of... well, I don't know what to call it.' Mizuki didn't want to say no though. She really did want to go with Yang. She wanted to spend more time with her and be with her and... Slow down. She had to get through this hurdle first.
"Yang," Mizuki said softly, "I am not sure yet. I want to go. But at the same time, there are some... things I need to figure out. But I promise I will give you my answer soon." As they waited quietly for their food, Mizuki thought back to when her mother told her about "love".
Flashback
Seven-year-old Mizuki was sitting with her mother, meditating together like they usually do. The boys were out for a while playing, so it was these moments where they had their mother-daughter time. The moment where they could just talk about life and their inner struggles.
"Mom," Mizuki asked looking at her mother. "How do you know when you like someone?" Her mother opened her eyes for a moment, putting a finger to her chin in order to think. "Well," her mother said with a smile. "When I met your dad, I just... knew." Mizuki looked confused. "You just knew." Her mother nodded. "Yes. Sometimes you can just feel when you were destined to be with someone. And it’s those moments when you realize that this was the person that fate has given you." Her mother looked at her daughter, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Trust me, you will know."
End of Flashback
Mizuki thought about that day. Did she know that she liked Yang? Was it possible that fate had brought them together for this moment, in this life? Or was just impulse taking her over, tricking her into believing? She looked at Yang as she read a menu. She was really pretty. And beautiful. She was mysterious. She was in a way, like her. But did she feel the same way about her? This is what scared her more than anything else. The two sat in silence, wondering what the other would say next. A moment to could determine if they could get through the first part of their day with no incident.

Yang / Red
Yang looked at Mizuki intently as she waited on the answer. To her surprise Mizuki wasn’t able to easily answer her. Red was also cheering on the inside like Tsuki, hoping that Mizuki would say yes. But that wasn’t exactly what happened. Mizuki said yes but…it felt like a no. It was crushing for Yang to hear. Red pondered for a few moments wondering what Mizuki could have been thinking about. Could it have been because Mizuki wanted something more? Red wasn’t sure how to make Yang feel less shitty about herself at this point.
Silence fell between Yang and Mizuki. It was awkwardly broken when the server had come with their food. The waitress had a smile on her face as she brought them the special of the day. A fresh made vegetarian bento with a veggie omelet and rice cakes. She had asked them if they needed anything else but quickly realized the mood. The waitress instead refilled their drinks and told them to call for her if they needed anything else while she stepped away to help other customers.
As soon as the server had left, Red was in control. It was quite easy to gain control when Yang was emotionally unstable. Red looked at Mizuki, knowing that Mizuki would be concern to the personality shift but she thought it would best to explain to Mizuki why. Why she asked her to come home. “Mizuki” she said. She said her name clearly to get her attention as if the personality shift wasn’t enough to do it.
“I was the one to tell the other persona to ask you because I want you to know the truth” she finally stated to Mizuki her real reason behind asking her to come home. Of course Red figured this would probably hurt Mizuki’s feelings because Mizuki probably wanted more out of this invitation. Red knew this information but she didn’t want to hide anything from Mizuki if there were to ever be more. “I want you to know the truth that I…that we can’t speak about easily. I figured if I showed you, then it would be easier for you to understand….” Red started off slowly explaining. “I would like more to come from this….whatever this is called…” she felt frustrated because she couldn’t easily convey her feelings.
Red sighed. “You deserve to know the truth about us. Especially if more were to ever come about this…I guess we can call it a relationship. But I just don’t know how deep it is at this moment. I’ve never felt like this with another person not in a romantic sense. This is all new to both of us…” she stated anxiously. She was anxious about how Mizuki would react. Where this anxiety came from she wasn’t sure but she had no choice but to explain herself to Mizuki so that there wouldn’t be any misunderstanding between them. All Red could do was attempt to discuss with Mizuki about her emotions and go from there.
She looked down at her food after she spoke waiting on Mizuki’s response. It was nerve racking. She started to eat anxiously while she waited.

No matter how many times Mizuki had seen this, she was somewhat still not use to it. The switch between Yang and Red was like night and day. She could only imagine what Yang was going through. Two clashing personalities sharing the same experiences. It almost reminded of her aunts in New York. Their quirk literally brought them into one being. They shared the same thoughts and actions, and they still acted like one person. But that was not the case with Yang. Something tragic had to bring about this.
"It's not that I don't want to go," Mizuki said, looking at her plate of food. "It's just... there is very little I know about you. Are you okay with... me? As I am now?" Mizuki looked back towards Yang, searching for an answer in her eyes. "I know that I am asking a lot. And I don't know what to call this yet either." They have talked over the past two weeks. They had discussed a little about being friends and helping each other out. But was she really ready to go home with her?
"All I am asking is for time," Mizuki said. "To be honest, I am scared. I am scared that you would not like me for... me. But I want to know where we are going. All I am asking for is a couple more months. To get to know you more. Not about your past. But the present you. Like a date. I think. If you want to." Mizuki was flustered to say the least. Usually going to someone's home means you're dating- right? "I know you want to show me the truth in time. But right now I just want to know a little more about you- and what you think of me."
