Yang / Red Red’s attention was caught as she saw Mizuki grimace. It was most likely due to the personality shift. Red sighed slightly. She wasn’t sure exactly when she became two people in one body but that is exactly what was going on now. What else was she supposed to do about it? There aren’t many people that exist in this world that have two different personalities and it wasn’t related to a quirk.
Red stopped eating and paid attention to what Mizuki was saying. She was surprised. Mizuki was more worried about what they thought about her. Red laughed. It was probably the first time in a very long time since she laughed but quickly realized that was probably rude of her to do. “Not trying to be rude. Just here you are worried about what I think about you and I feel the absolute same way.” She said explaining why she laughed.
Of course once the laughter subsided, Red was surprised. When was the last time she laughed in any type of way? She had awkwardly cleared her throat before speaking to Mizuki again. “I wouldn’t be talking to you if I wasn’t okay with you. I understand you want time and there isn’t much you know about me but that’s why I personally want to do this. I want to give you answers that Yang isn’t ready to accept.” She paused and grimaced a bit. Memories of the past haunted her even though she accepted her past, it was definitely hard to completely move on from it.
“Mizuki…I have…No we have a very dark past and I know you want to get to know the present us but you need to know the truth behind the reason why there is two of us instead of one person. I can’t go into complete detail, all I am able to tell you is that I have experience enough tragedy in my life. Enough to cause this” she stated as she attempt to point out two personas.
“I ultimately can’t make you come with us. Especially since you don’t even know where the hell I’m taking you. Even though its home, it isn’t to meet my parents. They are gone. I just have Myrkul now.” Myrkul was the man Yang looked as her father but Red didn’t feel the same way about Myrkul. He was definitely an interesting character. She wasn’t sure about brining Mizuki around him. However, they would need a place to stay the night for the first night at least.
Going Myrkul’s home was a long drive and there was no way that they would be able to go to the place that Red wanted to show Mizuki within the same day. “However I am taking to home or what is left of it…” she continued to explain. She hoped she didn’t hurt Mizuki’s feelings by telling her the real reason why she asked her to come home. It was never an invitation to formally meet her family so she could go steady with Mizuki. It was way too early to call this friendship of theirs any more than that. “When I lost my family…I made sure I would never return to that place so that I could move on. But I guess I didn’t” she said looking down at her plate. The food was growing cold.
Red was able to somewhat understand why her mental state of mind wasn’t able to handle the trauma of losing her family and her sister. But it was a very basic understanding and it wasn’t like she ever sought for help. Maybe she should but at the same time would the other persona be okay with help.
“How about we pay the bill and move on from this…” Red had finally said after a long awkward silence. “You did promise the other half a night out on the town” she said trying to break the tension. All she could do now was hope that Mizuki was ready to move on as much as Red was from this awkwardness.

Mizuki looked at her for a second when she laughed. Did she say something wrong? Something stupid? But this Yang quickly reminded her that she was also going through the same issues. Lost in a sea of doubt, wondering if the two them could work. It was almost scary to think about. She talked a place that she called home. A place that she had buried her past in. Yang wanted to share that with her. She wanted Mizuki to understand how she came to be, how it all started. And Mizuki wanted to take the journey with her. But her feelings for her... would they be able to cope with one another.
Flashback
Little six-year-old Mizuki sat with her mother, watching her perform her morning tai-chi. It had became the little one's tradition to watch her mother, her face filled with awe at the total focus and concentration her mother had. She wanted to be just like her. She wanted to be just as disciplined as her. "Mommy," Mizuki said, her mother's eyes closed in meditation. "Why do you do this every morning?"
Her mother stopped at the young girl's question, looking down at her with a smile. "At let's me think about my past mistakes and how to improve," she answered, patting the top of her daughter's head. "It reminds me of what I need to see and how I view the world. Sometimes, things in our past helps create the storms. But when we come to a resolution about it, the storm becomes calm and peaceful. I was just thinking about..." She stopped herself for a second, a sad moment glancing across her face.
"About what, momma?" the young Haymaker asked. Her mother looked at her, giving the young girl a sad smile. "Don't fret about it my child. Just thinking about the things that made me... me."
End of Flash back
Mizuki always wondered about her mother's past. It almost felt like she was hiding something from her at times. However, her thoughts were broken away from Yang's suggestion of going elsewhere. "Sure," she said putting the money on the table. "In fact, I have an idea of where we can go if you like."

Yang / Red Red forgot Mizuki said she would pay for everything. She would have to figure out how to pay her back later. Red did have some money set aside for emergency purposes only but she figured Myrkul wouldn’t ask or care much about it.
Once they got out of the restaurant, Red followed Mizuki unsure of where they were going but still excited either way. She couldn’t remember the last time she was in the city. Let alone was in control this long.
The city was nice and bright. It was a different experience in deed. Eventually they got to their destination. Red was a bit surprised on the location. It looked like a dojo that specialized in swordsmanship. The dojo sold swords, Red wasn’t interested in the swords that were metal. She wanted something wooden. It would be better to train with.
She remembered Yang wanting a wooden sword to train with because she didn’t want to harm anyone while at the school. Why not get something for her? But she didn’t see a price tag on the wooden training swords. Did that mean she had to earn it?
Red pondered the thought before Mizuki realized what Red was eyeing. It was probably something they had in common. Mizuki had a weapon of her own. Red wasn’t sure when Mizuki got the weapon but it suited her very well. Maybe Red could strike a conversation with her? Red wasn’t really the talkative person. She sighed a bit wondering if they could ever make this work since Yang like Mizuki.
