Now out from the safety of Kirk's pouch, Farrah was still quite a bit safer than she might have been... which is to say, Kirk couldn't be in a more dangerous position right now! The guy was literally tugging the tail of a T-Rex, while being blasted by fire and beaten around by said T-Rex. If this was a massively multiplayer online RPG, he'd be the party tank that's just hit his taunt button, making it impossible to focus on anything but him. It was probably for the best he'd dropped her off... if she was still inside his pouch, the only way she'd have any kind of safety would be to close it all the way, and that wouldn't leave her much room to be useful to anybody!
On that note, she still wondered if she really was useful to anybody. For a moment, she thought she'd managed to catch Holmes off his guard, but the boy was too focused; he went from addled to trading techniques with Tetsuko like he'd barely been fazed. Farrah had to admit, she probably wasn't getting MVP this match. While Meara was blasting back the knight of the group, Kirk was tangling with a T-Rex, Jisa was navigating all kinds of traps to reach the flag, and Jace was still fighting despite being buried under rubble just a moment ago... she didn't really have anything to point at yet.
Her technique had revealed something strange, though. Somehow, the girl she'd expected to be all the way on the other side of the bridge had projected her voice from the center... But there wasn't even any tar in the middle of the bridge! It couldn't be part of her quirk, could it? "Did... Did someone hypnotize me into throwing a fourth bubble?! If they've got a power like that, I'm really in trouble!" Farrah panicked internally. Of course, that wasn't a particularly probable explanation, but one was as good as another in such a confusing situation as this one.
Meara offered a way for her to be useful, though: to use her quirk in the natural way and just rattle somebody's ear-drums, drown out communication, and that sort of thing by being as loud as possible. She had to admit, the idea was pretty appealing... her throat was just a bit scratchy, but she thought she could get one big bubble out. As for where to aim that bubble... her own teammates were probably going to end up in just as bad shape as her allies, but at least Meara had the benefit of having called for the bubble. As a result, maybe she'd be prepared to guard her ears? Kirk wouldn't be so lucky but... he seemed like the type who was used to loud noises anyway. Hopefully, Jace and Jisa would be out of the blast zone before it went off. Farrah banked on that as she began to build up the strongest bubble she could manage inside her throat.
"Alright, Meara, you'll get it if you ask! But since you asked, don't take me to task!" she warned her ally by way of a joke, before cupping her mouth into an O again. The poetess released a slow-moving bubble towards the armored knight Meara had been fighting. An advantage of focusing on him could be that he seemingly didn't have long range attacks that he could use to stop the bubble's approach or detonate it early. He might be able to shrug off all of Meara's attacks, but once the inside of his helmet was ringing like a church-bell, would he be able to keep blocking shots against his allies? Farrah didn't think so! As a last measure before snapping her fingers, she tweaked her noise canceling earpieces so that she wouldn't be affected by her own blast of sound.
"BWAAAAAAAAAAH" the bubble popped, going off in an inexcusably loud boom, the kind that generates a special hatred reserved for something like a fire alarm or a vuvuzela blasted into one's ear.
... If the boy was able to keep defending his allies after something like that, it'd be pretty dang impressive, she had to admit. "I've got to hand it to the Valiant School! Their fighting styles are awfully cool! she thought to herself, only failing to verbalize the thought because of the new, roaring burn in her throat, caused by pumping so much volume into one of her bubbles. It might be a bit before she could make another worthwhile one come out...

"EXACTLY!" As usual, Kirks wit was at its best when things were going by quickly. Besides, it's not like anything else the dinosaur had was very easy to grab effectively, so may as well go by the tail end of the deal. Of course, with the dino thrashing about, Kirk had to pretty much concentrate completely on holding on, or else he would fly off. "YEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAW!" Kirk had discovered yet another benefit of being in a hero school: Rodeo riding a dinosaur was absolutely a possibility and a childish dream come true! Well, aside from the whole deal, that technically he couldn't control where he was going that much!
Which meant that the freezing guy from before could hit him with ease! Only thing Kirk could do, was bulge out his pouch somewhat, to make the frost not reach too far to the rest of his body. "Brrrrrrgh!" Very uncomfortable indeed, but atleast his shenanigans were keeping the dinosaur and the knight pretty stuck in place. After all, if the horse ain't moving, the knight ain't either. However, now the question was, what to do next? It was not exactly the most optimal position to stay at for too long. Besides, his arms were getting tired...
An answer to him came with a bubble... a pretty big bubble. From Farrah assumedly. He remembered that payload fight, and how he had pretty much popped one of those into his face, and they were very potent in that regard. So, if one of those were to pop right next to arthur... that would serve as a nice distraction! Thus He held onto the dinosaur tail for just a tiny moment longer, keeping his eyes on the bubble send in arthurs direction, still banging on the tail...
Until it seemed to be at a prime position. A position where maybe the guy would notice it and dodge it! However, that's where Kirk came in! Sheathing his bat, he climbed on top of Lucases back, and in a quick motion, grabbed a ball from his ammo belt, chucking it like a bullet at the bubble, guaranteeing, that it would pop right next to Arthur! And with that, Kirk proceeded his own charge, as the probably befuddled and deafened knight would get yet another loud bullet coming his way! "ROUND TWO!" Kirk would charge forward like a giant missile, trying to get this impenetrable shield down from the dino, leaving them as unarmored as they actually were!
However, if Kirk was actually successful in getting both himself and Arthur off of the dino, Kirk wasn't done! He would proceed to slide under the boy, and grab him by the pelvis. "Basketball style: MAAAAAAAAAAAAANDUNK!" Yet another move that was trying to break them through the bridge, or atleast knock the guy out against the floor. After all, this wasn't a manhunt. After landing his arms would immediately hunt for his bandanna, grabbing it from his leg. In the end, if there was one thing the boy had over arthur... It was acrobatics! He would run off, and try to bounce to safety, with his pouch acting like a jump pad either the hole this whole technique had created, or well... hopefully Mearas shooting was distracting enough to keep Lucas from attacking him.

"You could say that."Was Tetsuko's simple response to Holmes' question on her status as the powerhouse. She stood with her blade readied, preparing to finish him off, but waiting for the right moment. His reaction time was astounding, and she didn't want to be caught on the wrong end of a good counter. Furthermore, she wanted to check herself once he was done with his monologue. Something was suspicious, a certain voice Tetsuko had heard within Farrah's earlier distraction... She had her suspicions, and needed to finish Holmes off and confirm right away. Though, that might not be easy... He was a strong foe, for having blocked her strikes in time, even in spite of Farrah's distraction. That being said, the Shindou girl had already put some key pieces in play with her repeated attacks aimed at his neck, so all she needed to do was play them. His declaration that he didn't plan to fight her didn't lower Tetsuko's guard, though... Although she was at her optimal range, she didn't know what kind of tricks he was hiding... Ultimately, her hesitation and uncertainty in landing her finishing blow were what lead to him getting a sudden advantage with his powerful abilities! "Dammit!"He'd decided to suddenly buy some time for his team, a powerful vortex pushing and pulling at the trio on the copper bridge! Her band flew off, and Tetsuko herself immediately staggered a few steps backward, only saved by plunging her sword into the ground and forming iron bands over the grip. Even still, it felt like these winds were going to tear her damn arm off! "So you're going this far... Stalling Jisa-san and Jace-san, and buying time for her, hm?" Tetsuko grinned lightly, before taking a deep breath, letting the air around her swirl and twist, letting herself focus deeply on the moment ahead. "To make me use the this kata... You're quite strong. But you should watch your head."A calm washed over her, and Tetsuko stepped forward, clutching her sword and bearing the brunt of the winds... Before making her move. It seemed a simple movement, as Tetsuko swept her hand across in front of her, angling it down at the ground... A smooth motion; undercut by the violence of the four long blades that shot out of her palm, as Tetsuko aimed to slice away at the copper bridge between her and Holmes, aiming to take out both their footing and send them falling down towards the last bridge! Her comments and previous attack at his neck would have hopefully turned his attention upward, leaving him vulnerable to this strike right beneath his feet! "Jisa-san, ahead, it'll be unguarded!" Tetsuko called out just as she lost her own footing and fell down, the copper bridge cut apart by her four blades, that quickly retracted back into Tetsuko. Not willing to just end it there, Tetsuko would raise her leg as she fell, aiming at Holmes before swinging it down at Holmes while another long blade protruded from her ankle, this axe-kick like finisher extending her own 'body' as a 'blade'... The formless, boundless sword... Marubashi Kata : Hassōken 丸橋之形 : 八相剣 Winter Form : Eight Phase Sword
Tetsuko landed hard, gritting her teeth as she staggered a bit before retracting the blade back into her heel. Hopefully that would have finished him off, or at least made him unable to stop Tetsuko... After all, it was highly likely there would already be someone else down there, on that bottom bridge. "That move by Farrah-san may just have decided this whole thing... It was brilliant, even in ways she didn't expect. Wouldn't you agree?" The Shindou girl called out, turning around to look across the bottom bridge, expecting to see none other than Melissa sneaking past. If she didn't... Well she could just play it off as having been talking to Holmes, cause admitting she made such a confident and false declaration was a bit too embarrassing. words: 000 • tags: you • notes: stuff [/font][/div]

It was strange as he bolted quick on his feet. He attempted to gain ground and momentum by using his speed and leg strength, Its where he shined and where his power could shine through in a pinch. A hares leg strength was strong giving him both a agile speed as well as strong jumping power. With all of this in mine as the fuzzy fellow was in quick stride hoping about in bounce was caught completely be surprise and off guard when he found himself seemingly halted like someone pumping the breaks on a car in a sense. His feet still kicking and running but making no headway. As if he was tethered or held back by force. Of course it didn't take long and looking around to realized he was being held by the windy vortex of one of his foes.
His ear's would perk high and his eyes briefly wide much like one might expect from a Hare caught in a trap! IT was a look of panic as if the predators had somehow cornered him and captured, He rather comically was running in place though trying to keep up momentum but it was as if each inch he pulled away the strong rage of wind and power only sucked him back into place. The pressure only building around him as if being stuck in some sort of cyclone of powerful gusting strength. "Oh no oh no oh no oh no!" He said in some panic trying to gain some footing that only seemed to continue to elude him as the sense of being vulnerable only continued to grow harshly within.
He tried to look around but when Tetsuko called out, He learned at this point trusting her was often the right choice so on the off chance she'd succeeded if the vortex had at anytime weakened given Jisa was applying pressure trying to rush free at anytime. If it had weakened or ceased thanks to Tetsuko's attack Jisa would continue shooting off towards the end and finish line of sorts. The pressure was building and the tension ever more with each passing moment in this competition. Jisa's small heart beat a mile a moment in his chest as he hungered for that victory bell.
TLDR 1. Jisa was rushing forward at full speed until like a Rabbit in a trap was surprised to suddenly grind to a halt. 2. Jisa semi panics and keeps running against the force trying to escape and failing. 3. Continues to try after what Tetsuko said trying to cease the chance if her plan was successful.

Jace had thought that Holmes was out of the picture, it was a natural assumption given that he was fighting Tetsuko. Jace in truth wasn't actually sure just how strong the girl was, however with her leadership attitude she'd definitely given off an aura of strength, and the blow she'd given Holmes had look quite powerful. So he'd simply assumed that the samurai girl would keep the vortex boy busy while he and Jisa made their escapes. And once again, he'd pay for underestimating the boy.
Jace wasn't as fast as Jisa was, and while he was able to run smoothly on all fours he still was behind the bunny boy by a fair bit. And this also meant he lacked the momentum Jisa had when Holmes pulled out his ultimate move. Jace's eyes went wide as his movement ground to a halt, every movement feeling like he was trying to move with hundred pound weights on,feeling the suction behind him pull him ever closer to it's tornado like winds. One slip and it'd be over, and he could already feel his muscles weakening as he strained, so Jace would use the only thing he could think of. The cat boy would sink his claws into the copper bridge, his claws unfortunately not being strong enough to outright pierce it as they could stone, but still it was better than nothing. Then, he'd slowly try inching forward using his claws as traction as he approached Jisa. He wanted to be able to catch the bunny boy if he slipped and fell into the vortex, or at least that was his original plan. But soon he realized that that would simply put them into a stalemate, stuck in place while Holmes gets his way. However, if Jace were to let go instead, he'd be pulled in, but he'd be pulled in directly towards Holmes.
And so with a deep breath, he'd release his claws to be pulled into the vortex, and would even get moved a good 20cm before Tetsuko decided to do her own thing. She'd slice the bridge where she and Holmes stood, causing them both to go tumbling down to the bridge below. Such a move was a...sobering moment, would perhaps be one way to put it. Spirit crushing would be another, harsher way of putting it. Jace could do absolutely nothing even close to that, his claws hadn't even been able to cut into the copper, let alone slice it like butter the way Tetsuko had. And watching someone who was supposed to be your peer, who was in the same year as you do something like that, he couldn't help but feel like trash in comparison. So the red headed boy would pick himself up, with a much more glum look on his face than before, as he turned to the running Jisa and would start to follow the boy, playing escort and not having really accomplished much this battle. However, before he did he noticed something. It had been hidden before by the giant vacuum trying to suck him up and everything, but now that it was clear he could out a familiar smell below him near Tetsuko.
He'd glance downwards, head tilted in curiosity. When did she get down there? It was a good question, Melissa had been up top the entire match to his awareness, so her having snuck by was surprising. But it wasn't worrying, Tetsuko was down after all. However, her presence did give Jace an idea on what he could do. He'd sniff out everyone, trying to get a location of their opponents before going back to following Jisa. But instead of running like he'd been this entire time, he walked leisurely, trying to pick out a spot where one of the copper support beams were. He needed a boost if he wanted to be able to reach the stone bridge after all, and after picking a spot he'd wait there, allowing Jisa to go without him. Instead he was going to do what Melissa had failed to, set up an ambush spot for anyone who tried to play interference on Jisa whether from above or below, keeping track with his sharp nose. Maybe it'd just lead to him standing here the rest of the match, but at least it was by doing something his way. He wanted to show he could do more than be a glorified babysitter, his own way.

STORYTELLER There was so much going on that even the highly perceptive samurai hero had problems to know where to commentate on, should she warn the risk of damaging construction below bridges? Or the fact that time was running out soon and there was not many armbands left to claim the victory. With glittery excited eyes, Soul Fire could only swoon over the megaphone just witnessing the growing skills in everyone from this match.
Meara had just gotten a nasty sucker punch, but not the kind to knock any tough girl down, the student fired away at Julia who was daringly enough to act cocky when in the air, for she indeed had very good reasons to. While in the air, and having one of her extended limbs locked onto a solid object she could manevour around like a true annoyance. She quickly narrowly evades the first few shots before having to use her solid fist to block the last one, resulting her to shake her hand in pain. ''Yeee-ow ow! Just how many shots to do you have?!'' She asked without realizing those were just shots of energy, plenty of those, however she wouldn't stick around on that side of the bridge once seeing the new attempt of barrage. Julia retracts her extended srping arm and seemingly just disappears from meara's point of view, resulting the Meara's second attempt of firing at the spring girl futile. ''I won't let you shoot any moooore!'' This time, her voice were heard from above, way far up! So far up that it almost reached to Soul Fire's level.
''WHOOOA! She sprung that far up!''
Julia had just used an extremely pent up momentum from her springs, retracted way back down below the bridge and flung to the other side straight upwards until she was somewhat above Meara. To hinder Meara to continue firing at Lucas and Arthur Julia charged up both of her legs, the sound of tensed up metal springs got louder and louder before bursting into a pair of bullets right down. Both of her feet aiming right down at Meara, each feet stomping directly at both shoulders, forcing Meara to either get fully stomped into the stone bridge or occupy the blonde girl's full body strength to combat the aerial assault!
However, Meara got in a few hits, even if it was only minor ones the knight seems to be on the edge of going overboard to take the shots, one passes him and hits Lucas, who very much grumpily roars about all the while power-fighting Kirk over the tail's control. Gregory Felt tad bit annoyed by the jock's endurance and resiliance, did the guy ever take a break? That was when he realized trying to take down the jock proved to be a waste of time, his eyes darted to the left side of the bridge, the poetess inflating a bubble..? Now that he thinks about it, quite a lot of strange things has happened, was she the cause of those misdirections? Gregory smirked, taking advantage of Farrah standing still as she finishes her bubble.
''How about you go a few pegs down mhm?''
Extending his palms forward he washed the stone floor below Farrah with a lively blue ocean of flames, numbing her legs and giving her one big shivery experience, essentially locking her in place. ''Oy Arthur, watch out for that bubble!'' Arthur had just finished bashing himself for letting a shot through, but knowing what those bubbles did the knight student widened his eyes, knowing very well what was about to happen. Protecting Lucas suddenly became a second priority, this bubble needed to not pop this close to them, that is if he could prevent that. The jock named Kirk were done wrestling with the dino tail, and smashed a baseball directly at the bubble, which Arthur obviously would not tolerate happening. ''THAT BALL SHJALL NOT HIT THE BUBBLEEEE!'' But to his dismay, Arthur's thrust with one of his boneswords did not compare in speed with a soaring homerun quality baseball, before even reaching the sword tip towards the ball's directorion the round object penetrated the bubble.
The soundwave resonated through Arthur's helmet, the same way a fire alarm goes off right next to his ears but with a hint of bass. Forcing him to go down on one knee while trying his best to bite through the earpain. ''GYAAH! D-drat!'' Being unable to focus, or stand for that matter, he was a sitting duck for Kirk to take advantage of. Arthur barely stands up, that is being suddenly grabbed by his pelvis, this jock just slipped under Arthur's legs! What an acrobatic musclehead! But the worst had yet to come, the dunk literally cracked up the space around the, Arthur groaning out and has his air knocked out of his body, and that was when it all would fall down. Both Julia powerstomping Meara, Kirk dunking Arthur, each side resulted several cracks forming across the stone bridge, but somehow it still stood strong, but the sound of crumble could be heard from every corner, things were getting mighty dangerous!
Back down at the copper bridge, Holmes did an outstanding job on stalling a whole three students with his relentless vortex stream, he didn't even need to touch any of them to be a real obstacle. While thinking he is safe from harm with the vortex active, the shinobu girl did the bold thing by cutting the bridge, a straight cut through it resulted a lot of things. For one, both Holmes and Tetsuko fell down, the large pieces of copper plates and pipes snapped into pieces one after another. And the drop was quite high, Holmes obviously on high alert just had to expect the worst to come. Listening to Tetsu's threat he did the same defensive block in the air, but that left his lower front fully open, a direct hit by Tetsu made Holmes get smacked downwards , hitting the steel bridge first. He groans out, but not the in same manner one would expect, he wasn't very expressive with pain. However, the sight of the copper bridge literally being but and falling got Melissa, who was very effectively been covering the steel bridge in tar, screaming in fear.
''KYAAAAAH! Not again not again!''
With a small case of ptsd from the previously falling wood bridge Melissa had taken cover on the bottom bridge. And as previously stated, she has been covering the steel bridge with thick tar that it looked like a melting black bridge! At least on the Valiant's side. However, Melissa got far enough to be behind Tetsuko's spot of landing, and as one might expect, the shinobu got her feet dipped into the incredibly thick black tar, sticky and clingy. Holmes, who was also on the tar, was far more unfortunate, his back was clung to the tar, only able to move a bit of his upperbody, looking over at Melissa with an annoyed glare.
''Why are you here Melissa?... Dammit, now I am stuck to your stupid tar, just go.''
Melissa felt the omnious aura aradiating from holmes stuck body and glare, she nodded quickly stared at Tetsuko and feet stuck to the tar Melissa couldn't help but to chuckle, which lead up to a laughter. ''Ahaha! Got you! And those going ahead will only meet an unclimbable mess! No one in their right mind would dare to climb a tar wall!'' She then flexes her right arm, showing off her band. ''I will strike towards victory!''
Just as she was gonna dash away, the final effect from Tetsuko's bridge slice came to effect. Soul Fire noticed the damage done below the stone bridge, clasping her cheeks together. ''Gah! One thing to remember as a hero of justice! One cannot stand tall without the help of others, in this case, one bridge supports another!'' The small section of the copper bridge was the last gut punch to the abused stome bridge. The beams gave in and the structure of the stone masses split in several chunks across the entire thing, the loud sound of several tons of stone fell down onto the sides and covered the copper bridge with all of it's rubble. Arthur, Kirk, Farrah, Lucas, Meara, Gregory and even Julia, all became victim of the second falling bridge, the impact was quite a lot harsher than the wooden bridge, but the one to recieve the absolute most damage was no doubt Arthur who was all kinds of screwed. Dunked through a delayed cracking bridge, the knight gets knocked out upon the final impact, and the one to have it the easiest is Julia who takes the air time to grab the middle steel pole and swing from it, still getting a rough landing infront of Meara. And of course, two more became victim of the falling bridge, Jisa and Jace, who are on their way towards the end which is slathered with tar, the falling rocky chunks chased the feline and rabbit, no real chance of running away from a collapsing bridge!

Meara was firing off blasts wildly when suddenly the bridge started to rumble uneasily. “What the hell?!” she cried out as she stumbled and tried to keep her balance. She heard Kirk yell out in typical Kirk fashion as he slammed the annoying knight down to the ground and through the bridge. That combined with whatever Tetsu was doing down below caused the bridge to begin to collapse around them. “Oh Shiii…” Meara began to exclaim before she was cut off by Julia diving down and double foot stomp to her chest. The blow sent her down hard through the crumbling bridge she let out a pained cry as her back slammed into the copper bridge. The blow knocked the wind out of her as she laid there in a great deal of pain. Her armor was heavily damaged in her chest area, her back also had some decent cracking, and part of her visor was missing, exposing her right eye. After another couple seconds Meara let out a pained groan and a few more painful coughs as she slowly struggled to push herself back to her feet.
She scanned around the crumbled area to see what the hell was going on now that the dust had settled. She still couldn’t make out everything but she did see that Authur was out of commision. “Well at least that annoying bugger is out for the count…” she muttered as she kept looking around. She then noticed that Julia was right next to her also on the ground. A smile slowly grew on her face as she took one shaky step towards her target. Slowly a pained but slightly maniacal sounding laugh began to escape from her lips, much like her tournament fight with Jace. “Well, well, well. Nice to see you’re still close to me you little springy C*nt.” She said coldly as she went to kick her as hard as she could in the ribs. “Now you lil bitch, just try and spring yer way out of this.” She said as she raised up her cannon again. “It’s been fun. But now, It’s time fer ya to go night night.” She said in an eerily sweet and calm voice. Then her cannon’s front opened up like a flower and black energy flew off of it like lightning. “Balor’s Roaring Cannon…” She whispered as she fired at near point blank range. She knew that the blast wouldn’t severely harm or cripple her. But she hoped that it would knock her out. The spiraling black and navy beam crashed into the area where Julia was, kicking up a great deal of dust.
She turned and looked back over to where she had believed Gregorey and Lucas had landed. “So, who the fuck else wants some?” She said, a wild look in her eyes. “I can do this shite all day.” she said, laughing as she held her arms out. In truth, she was starting to reach her limits, that last spill and attack had taken a good bit out of her. Not to mention the consistent and sustained fire followed up immediately by her most powerful attack had begun to burn her arm quite a bit. “Carmichael! Yer arse is gonna get tossed off this bridge by the end of this!” She yelled out as she took a few steps forward. “But first, imma knock yer fuckin teeth down your throat.!” She shouted before gritting through the pain and moving forward towards her adversary. She had this wicked smile on her face as she moved forward, laughing to herself as she thought about what she was going to do once she got her hands on him.

As much as Farrah was all-in on Team UA, she had to admit, it was pretty exciting watching her old rescue-mate dodge Meara's shots. She might even tell Julia as much... if it wasn't for the fact that her throat was burning from her previous contribution. As it turned out, that was really the least of her worries; she'd been like a t-ball player, distracted by a pretty butterfly while the ball's zooming right towards them. While she was watching Julia, the enemy had shot a wave of blue fire towards her. What a time to have stopped dancing!
Dancing wasn't in the foreseeable future, it seemed; the fires were more numbing than burning, and as a result, the poetess ended up on jelly legs. The effect actually reminded her more than a bit of her old classmate's, Arisu's. Farrah found herself struggling to stay on her feet, let alone employ the defensive maneuvers she ought to have been focusing on from the get-go. If one of the others- say, the giant dinosaur- decided to pounce her right now, she'd be in some real trouble.
Did her bubble at least have its intended effect? Farrah adjusted her shades and glared across the bridge to survey the damage. It looked like, blessedly, Kirk had managed to pop it while she was occupied... ordinarily, she could simply snap to control the timing, but in the ordinary situation she wasn't worrying about potentially being turned into a human torch starting from her pants legs. Kirk's version of a victory dance for that accomplishment was apparently smashing yet another bridge; feeling everything shake around her, Farrah reached out her hands for anything she could use to steady herself on her wobbly legs, even if that was just going down to all fours. It... didn't really work out. The bridge gave out from below her, sending her, arms flailing, to the one below. As she ended up on her back, she felt rocks hitting her all over. "Bwagh! I-I'm going to need my own rescue mission! Too many more of those and I'm out of commission!" she attempted to shout, but with her throat so sore, it came out as a raspy whisper instead.
Surveying the scene around her, Farrah dearly missed the safety of Kirk's pouch. For a moment, she wondered if she should invest in some heavy armor like Arthur's... but seeing him lying there after being beaten and having his eardrums rattled... she decided that being the team tank was probably a job she'd rather avoid altogether. Better to leave that to someone like her burly friend.
At the same time, she'd finally drawn enough heat to be the target of some attacks, it seemed. Farrah found herself wondering if the enemies realized how vulnerable she was at the moment... with her legs immovable and throat burning, she was a dancing songstress with no song nor dance. She was a leg-band, just waiting to be snagged! With her sunglasses now displaced from her face by the fall, the sleepy blue eyes of the poetess showed an uncharacteristic degree of physical pain, as she struggled to find some part of her body that would still serve its intended purpose. All she could do until her legs and throat came back was drag herself across the bridge on her arms...
Meara was still standing, monologuing like a villain out of a comic book. Farrah thought that, as battered as her ally was, Meara was the only one capable of covering her while she recharged. She began to drag herself over there while gritting her teeth.
If some enemy came close... She'd wrap her arms around their legs and bite them, like one of the floor-bound zombies in a horror game! That way, at least one of her teammates might be able to take advantage. She somehow doubted a raspy limerick would charm anyone enough to make them stop going for her band...

...Honestly, at this point Kirk couldn't help but wonder, if this whole bridge was made just to get him in trouble. All these full body maneuvers of his kept crashing through it, and he couldn't really help it! The satisfyingly successful tackle just had to be followed with some sort of combo off of the dinosaur! It would have been illegal NOT to do it! However, as Kirk was falling ever faster, that sweet taste of success was muddled by their pro hero shouting about how 'one bridge supports another'. "I KNOW! I KNOW! AND THAT WAS THE BEST SUPPORT IN A WHILE!" Heck, what was that last move but SUPPORTIVE!? Farrah had provided a thing to use, and it comboed into the most powerful tackle known to man! That's what supporting is! "GAH!" He gasped in frustration, He pulled on his pouch, trying to cover his head with it, so the rocks didn't hit TOO hard... Kirk honestly felt like he had gotten the yellow card unfairly.
Well, they hurt anyway... problem of your most defensive part also being made out of skin and muscle! "UGH, AUGH, ECH!" well, atleast the landing was smooth! For everybody else than Arthur that is! With the heroes words, Kirk couldn't help but salute quickly with his fingers, as he quickly grabbed the bandana as he had planned. "Sorry, dude! I promise I didn't plan the second crash!" However, it was time for a mighty quick retreat! He showed the bandanna into his pouch, and proceeded to run towards the spot he had started at. That bridge falling must have hit Meara and Farrah quite harshly... although the problem in that was the big ol dino in the way! But with his pouch in bruises and frostbites, going for a big ol leap with it would be quite painful, but probably not nearly as painful as getting literally STOMPED on!
"Okay... time for the good old trick again, I guess!" He huffed in a breath again... As he proceeded to shout. "HEY LUCKY LUKEY! IT'S ME! KIRK! WANNA GET KNEED AGAIN!?" ...He gasped... god he was getting tired. However, he still energy to pull out his hockey stick. It probably wasn't as intimidating as a baseball bat, but that wasn't the idea anyway. He had pretty much channeled Darren, to taunt the guy to come towards him. That would make his moves a bit more obvious maybe. If the dinosaur charged forward, Kirk would charge, and whilst dodging, do an overhead blow, hooking the hockey stick against, the dinosaur. However, instead of putting a lot of power behind it, he instead used the strength he hurled himself forward with and the stick to... well, hurl himself past the charging dino! That is, if he charged... and from what Kirk had learned, he should!
"GERONIMO!" Honestly, this moment of weightlessness really hit the spot... god, how could his muscles scream this much!? Admittedly he had been doing quite a lot of big activities, having broken two bridges and all... Now where was he going to land? Oh... it looked like he was gonna be falling down on Carmichael. "Ah, shit..." Of course, he was pretty much a flying projectile at this point, so he couldn't really effect his landing in anyway... After he landed however, he would lock his eyes toward towards Farrah, as he would try and rush over... although the spring in his step was clearly a bit more wobbly...
"Sorry dudette, no worries dudette! I've got ya!" He proceeded to lift her up, opened his pouch, and slid her in for protection. "You had my back in there for a while, so, now I am gonna be your quarterback!" He turned towards the enemies, so he could react proper... However, both Meara and Farrah would notice how heavily the guy was breathing. Uptill now, he had repeatedly done big maneuvers, or been on the move. Rodeoing a dinosaur, tackling, smashing through bridges, and all this damage was finally getting to him. But for now, he was still standing, trying his best as usual. How long would that last however?

| No I ain't running running running yeah I'm coming coming coming yeah Knocking all these demons that been tryna run up on me yeah Oh I keep on fighting, they keep coming coming coming yeah I'ma keep keep on fighting till I'm gone I NEED THE GLORY |
There was good news, and there was bad news. The good news was that Tetsuko had been correct in her deduction. Meissa had indeed been trying to give them the slip, sneaking along the bottom bridge in order to try and get ahead. Now Tetsuko had the chance to stop her before that could happen, or so she hoped. The problem was, that there also definitely bad news as well. The most pressing concern being that Tetsuko had fallen right into the tar that covered the bridge below, leaving her mobility greatly hindered. The thick substance would be difficult to get through, to the point it wasn't quite worth expending the effort. "I won't deny you've trapped me here, but I won't accept you underestimating our ace."Tetsuko would utter in response to Melissa's words, holding the katana that had previously been her support from the vortex ready. Just before she or Melissa could act, however, another bit of bad news came, as the damage to the bridges caused the next to completely collapse, making a further possible dent in their plans. 'Dammit... You'll have to forgive me, this is to give them the best chance... Meanwhile, it's up to me to do what I can...'The Shindou girl quickly swung her sword, right at Holmes' jaw... Only to stop it right before impact. "Don't interfere further. Knocking you out seems excessive, so I'd rather not have to." Tetsuko said, making her intentions clear. Hopefully he'd accept defeat there, and not exploit her mercy... One could only hope. The next thing Tetsuko did was turn right to Melissa, a small grin on her face. "I wonder why, exactly, you thought my being in this tar meant you were safe..." The sword in Tetsuko's hands quickly changed shape, taking the form of an iron recurve bow. Forming an arrow in her other hand, she drew back the projectile and took aim. "Samurai are proficient in archery too, you know?"Tetsuko would take a few quick shots at Melissa, loosing blunted arrows that were aimed at the girl's arm, trying to get rid of that band of hers. Only firing off a few quick shots, Tetsuko would try to scare Melissa off before looking back up to where Jisa and Jace were, and preparing a couple more arrows as she turned away from Melissa. Just within range, Tetsuko would fire a couple arrows to land up on that platform... These ones, however, were sharpened. "Tools for climbing! I trust you'll use them well! Now go, Jisa-san! Jace-san, help him or chase down tar girl, she's down here!"With her work done, all Tetsuko could do with her feet in the tar was wait for things to proceed, and keep an eye on her immediate surroundings for other places her archery might come in handy... words: 000 • tags: you • notes: stuff

He had to move quickly as he felt a hard lump built in his throat and stomach take hold as he rushed to the side to try and avoid as much as the rubble as he could. Taking a few scraps and bruises before jolting in a quick leap and pounce towards the struts or what remained of them which had been his saving grace in this obstacle course of nightmares some might have called it.
He nearly fell from bridge as quick as he was in a stumble to avoid the most of the rubble and rocks feeling this course was getting really dangerous more so then he would have expected... Clinging to the support he tried to for a few moments remain on the danger side of them climbing and leaping over a few feet along the supports using it to move forward slowed only briefly. But once the rubble had ceased to at least mostly fall in its rocky rain. He took heart quickly taking the from his Samurai ally. Arrows! Not a weapon but it didn't take him long to realize just what kinda gift his ally had granted him with this.
It was hear where he'd attempt the gold rush... Briefly rushing forward near the tar he'd take a brief few moments to toss several small rocks towards the hill. Normally the rubble would have likely just rolled back down making the idea of it useless. But the tar would be ally as well likely holding the stones small enough for Jisa to toss but big enough for a foot and a half of feet like his to land on.
With this he retreated a few feet but more to get on the final remaining struts. Yanking both arrows out holding one in each hand but close to his chest as well.
With that he ran down the struts with as much speed as he could muster kicking off just before he ran out of space to run. He'd kick off with that speed leaping towards the hot tar. His feet landing and kicking off quickly the several stones he'd used to make a haphazard path part of the way. But this only would take him so far. The final stone would cause him to stop only moment only to leap forward twisting as he did.
He didn't imagine throwing the arrow gifts would cause them to take root in the tar. But as he spun he'd try and use his wait on it stabbing it into the ground as his small body landed shoving it in and taking a brief perch on it. His small body feeling a few chunks of fur rip off into the tar as he tore lose and quickly leaped from the arrow or at least attempting too and doing the same thing with the second arrow. If he wasn't stopped the small rabbit boy with his cloth still hanging from the base of his tail. He'd stab and leap from the second arrow after another leap and twist... sadly looking rather patchy from ripped off fur along the leaping. But thanks to the stones and the gifts from Tetsuko. He was able to find perches to leap off that wasn't the tar.
If he wasn't stopped after leaping from the second arrow he'd attempt to use all he had left to try and clear the tar, If he didn't he'd sacrifice whatever fur he had left to try and make the final stretch shooting for the bell and to go for the victory ring! He wanted to roar out in eager glee hoping this was the end. But the only thing that left his mouth was heavy breaths as he tried to control his breathing as he was starting to feel the excess heat within himself become hard to bare.
--- Jisa uses the struts and supports of the bridge to hang off and climb on the side to try and avoid the majority of the rubble, Although he is bruised and scuffed up a decent amount now.
Jisa rushes as quick as he can to the Tar tossing several chunks of stone upon the tar with various strength. Using stones large enough for his feet to land on but small enough for him to toss a fair distance.
Jisa attempts to run off a strut and leap towards the stone. Using the stones as a path for part of the way. And leaping and sticking the arrows in the ground to jump off of as he landed for two final perches to jump from losing fur all along the way. Attempting to still cloth on tail rush towards the bell!

Jace stood on guard, the ginger boy trying his best to keep track of all the different moving parts that were currently going on in the battle around him and keep track of everyone's placements and make sure no one tried to blitz past him to stop Jisa. And as he was doing so, he'd notice something, the area below reeked of tar, and not because of Melissa who'd he'd just sniffed out and had a much less offending scent. No, this smell was far stronger and more widespread, and Jace quickly realized what the small tar girl had done. She had covered the entire area below in tar, just as she had tthe last time they'd fought. But this wasn't last year's fight, they were in a different arena, in a different country, with different people. But just as much things had changed, much had also stayed the same, and a familiar face would come bursting through the stone bridge, Kirk bursting through another bridge, and right underneath him was the very unfortunate knight guy whom Jace honestly knew next to nothing about, though he definitely didn't envy his crash landing unto the bridge in front of him.
Jace would simply stand there for a moment in shocked silence, eyes wide in surprise as he looked at the unexpected arrivals. Then, another familiar sound, and Jace's head would snap up in an instant at the cracking above him. And just as the wooden bridge before it, the stone bridge above him would begin to collapse, the stones breaking apart piece by piece as the rapidly falling bridge quickly began to fall apart, right in his direction. Not again... Jace had been lucky with the last bridge collapse, in that he hadn't been hit by it. But as he prepared to try and avoid this one as well by jumping down to the bridge below with Tetsuko and the misfits of the enemy team, the smell of tar assaulting his nose reminded him just what waited for him below. And while tar in itself wasn't actually a problem for the fire boy, the fire it'd create would likely be unappreciated and somewhat problematic for Tetsuko and Holmes, whose scents were intermingled with the very, very flammable tar. And the idea of turning his teammate and a stuck opponent into flambées made the boy do something he almost never did, he hesitated on the jump. And as he stood at the edge of the copper bridge, unable to follow through on jumping, the collapsing bridge would be upon him, Jace once again looking up to see stones falling directly towards him. ...Oh merde... And the boy would do the only thing he could do at this point, crouch down and try to keep his head safe.
Jace had managed to remain relatively unscathed for most of this match, at least compared to those who'd gone into the front lines. Really the only thing that'd been unpleasant was falling alongside the stone bridge when Holmes caught him in his vortex thingy and some of the stones had landed on him. But this time it wasn't some of the stones landing on him, it was all of them. And it really hurt the boy whose main method of protection was don't get hit, gasping and suckling his teeth in with every smash as the rocks bruised and cut his body with each smash, letting out an outright yell when one smashed his hand covering his head, grabbing it in pain as the majority of debris stopped. Putain conneries! Hopefully there was some type of censor in place for those watching at home, though the glare that Jace would give Kirk as he shakily started to stand after the debris was over conveyed his feelings pretty well, even if the jolly jock was busy rushing Lucas. In fact, everyone was back in action, even Jisa having tried their best to avoid what rubble they could as Tetsuko started firing makeshift arrows through the hole leading to the bridge below, before yelling to Jace to either help Jisa or stop Melissa. Jace would turn back to see Jisa thankfully not skewered by the blind fired arrows, and instead using them as stepping stones over the tar. Which was probably for the best given the only alternative he could offer could for a potentially very hot bunny. Honestly, the more he watched Jisa, the more he'd realized how pointless it'd been to think an escort had been needed in the first place. He'd literally ended up standing in watch while everyone else had been doing...something. So when the chance came to once again feel like he was contributing, like he wasn't just a glorified scent hound, he didn't think twice.
Unfortunately, he couldn't take the simple route due to the whole tar covering the bridge below him thing, with the only way down being where all the fighting was going on. And Jace was rapidly approaching his limit, both in stamina and endurance. His body sore and hand throbbing, running on all fours was a literal pain, however he'd start off, approaching Meara and the girl he'd taken the armband from. He'd see Meara attempt to blast the girl point blank range, before turning to the rest of the enemy team with brazen bravado. And Jace would take full advantage of that, running up behind the girl in hopes of not being seen immediately before suddenly darting past her side and towards the middle pole where the bridge below was free of the tar scent and around where Melissa's scent was. He'd quickly try to race past, trying to judge where Melissa was and trying to end up behind the girl as he'd once again swing from the bridge he was on to the one below him. And if he did manage to land behind, or at least near the girl he'd ignite himself as he stood up, looking at the short that he last saw a year ago. Hey. It's been a while.

STORYTELLER Julia out of all people had to be in the worst position despite her way less risky decisions. landing esentially infront of Meara with a curious silent stare at the grinning blonde. Julia thought for sure she smashed the UA student down to submission, with cracked suit and everything! However, Meara charged up a blast, the kind that Julia really desperately attempted to block with her forearms. But point blank with that size of a charged blast was enough to knock Julia's concious state to oblivion! She gasps and gets somewhat comically scorched, reeking of both steam and smoke she fell on her back with her feet in the air.
''G-gluh...''
With no energy to mutter out words, Julia has been brought down to defeat, one that surely gets Soul Fire riled up in excitement! Finally she could see the match tip to a certain side. ''Seems like UA has managed to take down two of the other team! But victory depends on that bell ring and nothing else!'' She checks the watch again before turning her mouth back towards the megaphone. ''Could this be the final stretch? For the emergency breaker will activate upon enough destruction is done! Think of this as a surprise challenge!'' When will it activate? Who knows, Soul Fire enjoys to add a bit of hidden flavors to the dish! But the secret grew a worrisome feeling within the students, at least on the Valiant Institute's team. Gregory scoffs annoyed and ceases his frosting wave towards Farrah once he sees her immobilized, those legs don't lie!
''Both Arthur and Julia out? Typical, allow me to bring this show to a quit- huh?!''
In mid sentence he was caught off guard by... something flying that should NOT fly, but here he was, soaring down towards the brit! Kirk had succesfully taunted Lucas, with both the second bridge fall and bubble burst, Lucas barely kept up with things. He was fuzzy in his mind, so it was only natural for him to attempt headbash at Kirk! And as the jock predicted, the dino's head got used like a springboard! Even if it was a rough landing it still got a solid hit on Gregory, he lets out one long groan! Apparently Kirk's elbow smacked against Gregory's nose, which caused the brit to fall on his back and hold his face.
''GOD DAMN- GUUUUH! Okay, enough is enough!''
He jumps back up to his feet, seeing Kirk putting his attention of aiding Farrah, but Gregory had his own sneaky idea. He looks back and sees an upcoming feline. ''I got no time for you.'' Speaking to himself he jumps up on the tail of the dinosaur student, letting Jace sprint right through, because what he was about to do did not matter if another student was there or not, however, Jace quickly becomes someone else's problem as the feline boy dives down to the bridge below.
''Heh, looks like I'll finally give you some revenge pie!''
Gregory shouted back towards Meara who just spoke trashtalk in her usual manner, but Gregory is no fool, the blonde girl was clearly so bruised up she had to be close to her limit, but in Gregory's case he was somewhat fine, far from being exhausted. He ran up the tail and halts his movement right before he takes a close hug to the wide dino neck, leaning in close to the side of Lucas' face.
''L-lucas! This is so terrible! They got Julia! Julia is down! Down I tell you!''
Lucas widened his small eyes, for one second he was all unfocused and lightheaded, but hearing those words sparked an outmost passionate side of him, a side that he has been brewing up throughout this entire match. Hurt from every angle, taunted, getting his tail pulled, and his bestie bud defeated! A fury sprouted out from the student's large head.
''J-Julia?! No! Not Julia! RuuuuuAAAAAAAARGH! JULIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!''
Lifting his head up Lucas let out probably the most iconic dinosaur roar one can imagine. His jaw fully wide open, teeth practically shaking from the high decibel of one hundred, which of course Gregory had to clump his ears with his hands to avoid getting hurt from! The roar drowned the entire valley, even making Soul Fire to jump up in shock as she watched from above.
''Yeah boy! Now let's take them down! For Julia!''
''FOR JULIAAAAAAAAA!''
Everyone was near to that exhausting level, and so did Lucas due to all of the damage recieved, but with this sudden adrenaline of pure passion and rage, he ignores his own problems and let's out his fullest! While Lucas roared out, Melissa had gotten herself into a far more sticky situation than tar itself! Melissa got her armband shot clean off from such a sudden arrow! She yelps out loud and quickly raises her hands up, making a wave of tar and whips it forward as if it was just a carpet. The height of the wave was lasting enough to absorb the incoming arrows, the blunt obstacles gets halted due to the thick substance and falls into the tar pool, but Melissa needed to do yet another whip of tar for Tetsuko did not end on just a few! Effectively the shinobu held Melissa in place, forcing the girl to block the arrows with more and more tar, and when Jace jumps down to the backside Melissa quickly freaks the flipping out.
''HIYAAA! T-two versus one?!''
''Seems that way..''
Holmes already accepted defeat, being saved by Tetsuko from a mighty harsh debris fall made him just shrug and lay in place, while he could in theory push Tetsuko over into the tar from his current position with his outward vortex, but nah, he just relaxed on the spot and closes his eyes. Melissa however was the whole opposite, now pointing one hand to each side, flinging her tar literally everywhere in a desperate move to coat both Tetsuko and Jace, and yes, even when she knows Jace is on fire, she was literally tossing tar onto flames!
And then, Soul Fire who was so absorbed by Lucas' outrage, took notice of Jisa and his rather brave action.
''Whoa! Seems like someone is getting neeear~''
Well, near might've been an oversell, for the small fluffy boy had a path of agony to venture through. With the help of the two gifted arrows by the Shinobu and with a few well placed rocks Jisa got quite far up the sticky slope, around half way until he had to smear tear into his limbs! And it hurt so much, to dip into thick tar and tear right back out proved quickly to be quite damaging to a small soft hare, but not impossible, for Jisa needed to grit his teeth together, place one paw after another and climb upwards, for if there was anyone who could steal the win for UA it'd be Mr. Fluffybuns.
Gregory did not take a liking to that, smacking the back of the head of the dinosaur in it's peaking fury to gain his attention.''Quickly! Charge in and do not stop!'' Lucas didn't need to think twice, nor did he need to give confirmation that he understood Gregory, for the moment the command was given the large T-Rex used his heavy pair of legs to stomp forward, a heavy leaping sprint which had Meara in direct clashing course! And as a classic manner of Gregory, he looked back and pointed at Kirk with a frown.
''I'll get back for what you did to my nose by the way! Mark my words!''

Post by Meara O'Connor on Jun 10, 2020 4:21:16 GMT -4
Meara was on very shaky feet as she continued towards Gregory and Lucas. Her cracked visor flashed up multiple injury reports and reaffirmed that she was indeed running on fumes. “Ye know, yer not very helpful ya damn program” Meara muttered as she continued to march forward. Everything hurt, her back, her head, her legs, and above all was her right arm. Her arm was screaming in pain and she knew that she had pushed herself too far and she had sustained substantial burns to that arm. But she had to keep on pushing, she had to keep fighting, to keep their opponents busy and away from Jisa. If she could do that, then she had no doubt that the little guy would bring them victory. So she had to push past that pain and keep moving, no matter what. Besides, that arrogant bastard Gregory needed his face smashed, and that was all the extra motivation she needed to push forward.
What came next, she couldn’t have seen coming. Ears still ringing from the bridge collapsing Meara didn’t hear what Gregory said to Lucas, but she sure as hell heard the dinosaur boy’s response. It was a simple message, one of anger that a comrade had been taken out. “Ah shite…” was Meara’s only response as she looked over at the unconscious and still lightly smoking girl she had just blasted to hell. “Musta pointed that out to him.” She said quietly as the large student charged forward in a blind rage, Gregory perched on his back. Meara quickly raised her cannon to fire another blast from Balor’s Roaring Cannon but by the time she charged up Lucas was already on her and used his massive tail like a club and slammed it against her, crushing her armor on her right side and sending her flying into a support beam. She hit the copper beam with enough force to make a small dent where she made impact. Slowly she slumped down to the ground, her armor falling off of her right side where Lucas’s tail had struck her. Through blurry vision Meara could see the multitude of warning messages flash on her visor before the whole thing crumbled away and left her head exposed. She felt her eyelids grow heavy as her vision went black.
A few moments passed without her moving an inch as the wind blew her loose hair freely. Then slowly she opened her eyes and saw Lucas still rampaging, though everything was silent, except for the high pitched ringing. “Fuck that hurt.” She thought as she looked down at her mangled suit. “I fucking hate Carmichael…” She thought again. She tried to get up but a sharp pain in her side forced her to fall back down. “Yep, something’s definitely broken.” was her only thought as she continued to look on as Lucas rampaged. She tried and failed again to stand back up as her hearing slowly came back and she heard Lucas roaring and screaming out some girls name still. “Oh yeah, that was the springy lass wasn’t it…” She said quietly. “Come on O’Connor, get yer arse up and fight. They need you to get back up and finish these assholes off.” She said to herself. Slowly and painfully she managed to get back up to her feet, using the beam she crashed into as support. What she did next could be considered stupid given what just happened to her, and she would agree with that statement, but she had to think quickly and this was her only idea she had. “O’Connor, yer a fool for doing this.” she thought as she looked over at Lucas and took in a deep pained breath. “Oi you big dumb Lizard bastard! What did I hurt your feelings by knocking out yer dumb bitch of a girlfriend?! Why don’t you cry more about it you giant fucking baby!” She yelled out in English.
If her thinking was correct, that would definitely get his attention. And that was what she wanted, for him to focus solely on her, be focused solely on her so no one else was in his line of sight. And with her history with Gregory combined with the trash talking she had been doing, then he would definitely relish the idea of finishing her off. That was Meara’s hope at least. Regardless she positioned her feet against the metal beam like a runner would with a starting block. “One last charge Meara, You got this…” She said to herself, trying to psyche herself up enough to ignore the pain one last time. With that, she pushed off the beam and ran head on, straight towards the probably even more pissed off giant lizard. As she ran she saw Kirk where he had been knocked by Lucas and called out to him, hoping that he could hear her. “KIRK! HIGH-LOW!” she screamed out in Japanese. She hoped that those two had no idea what she said as to not give away her plan, and she hoped the both Kirk heard her and understood what she was getting at. Regardless as she got close enough to Lucas she made a solid beam of energy with her cannon and dove at his legs. She then swung with the last of her strength at Lucas’s knees as she flew past. The pain had become so intense that she couldn’t feel if she made contact. All she could do was hope that she did and that Kirk got the idea to hit him from above at the same time. Maybe that will finally put the big boy down for the count.
Nevertheless Meara wouldn’t be able to tell because after she dove she hit the ground hard and tumbled over the edge of the bridge. She felt herself slowly began to become weightless as she fell. “Well, I guess I’ll have to knock yer teeth in next time Carmichael…” She thought as she continued to fall. Her vision became blurry once more and slowly the world became blacker as she passed the final level of the bridges. But before she could fall all the way down to the safety netting below something strange happened. Perhaps it was due to a subconscious thought but a tether of energy shot out of her cannon and wrapped around a steel cable on the bridge. With a harsh and sudden stop Meara felt like her shoulder popped out as she dangled freely in the air. Meara let out a pained scream as she looked up to see she was only a meter from the edge of the bridge. But unfortunately for her she was too banged up to even pull herself up. So her only chance was that one of the three that had been sucked down to that level saw her fall and would be able to pull her up. Though even if that happened, she was pretty sure she wouldn’t be able to do much more.

Farrah reflected, not for the first time, that Kirk seemed to have far more superhuman abilities than having an armored pouch on one's back ought to provide a man. Despite blowing through multiple bridges and wrestling a dinosaur, he was still game for running back over to retrieve her. Maybe he was still feeling guilty over spanking her with a racket when they first met, or maybe for the bridge thing? Either way, his efforts were greatly appreciated, given that while her voice had begun to come back, her legs still felt like a pair of wiggly salami sticks. "Thank you, friend Kirk! You're true blue! An unpayable debt, I now owe to you!" She applauded her ally, perhaps underestimating the extent to which his own legs were feeling like lunch-meat.
With Kirk's dinosaur wrangling putting stars in her eyes, she couldn't overlook the accomplishments of the rest of her team. Tetsuko was proving that Farrah's earlier encounter with her wasn't nearly enough to show the full range of her abilities... She didn't just make swords, it seemed! She also made cool shounen anime dialogue! And bows, of course.
Jisa was as mobile as she was immobilized... it was impressive that he'd managed to remain that way, given the obstacle course of slugifying blue flames, tar, and vacuum-like whirlwinds their opponents had prepared.
Jace was avoiding turning the whole battlefield into a barbeque pit, which was heroic in its own rite. It looked like he was also planning to handle Melissa in a more concrete way than her earlier deceptive ruse.
Meara blasted Julia at point blank with a plasma cannon, or whatever it was she had on her arm! Farrah counted the other girl lucky she hadn't heckin' died. "Rest in peace, my former teammate! I would not wish to suffer your fate!" she whispered a quiet prayer for Julia, who was not actually dead.
As it turned out... Farrah might have overdone it on the calm observation. While she was busy taking stock of all of her teammates, that Gregory had been licking his chops and closing distance on herself and Kirk! Her own prayer for Julia had been pretty reserved, but Gregory's was intentionally rousing; so rousing that the tyrannosaurus seemed poised to turn the whole UA team into his own fossil-food! She also made a mental note that the dinosaur had a thing for Julia, maybe. "Daw, that's just so cute! Julia and ol' snaggletooth!" Anyone who could look at this raging tyrannosaurus rex and decide that "ol' snaggletooth" was a good nickname for him was either unshakably whimsical or else, significantly rattled in the noodle by debris recently conking them on the head.
Oh, right! Sheer terror. Farrah clasped both hands to her cheeks and did her best imitation of The Scream, while trying to decide if anything in her gradually recovering repertoire of noisy bubbles could work to put a damper on his rampage. She had a few options... she could either retreat fully into the safety of Kirk's pouch and hope he managed to ride it out... She could blow her own throat out using another max volume bubble, but that would probably just irritate Lucas even more... or she might have one more option. Maybe she could harness Lucas' and her own mutual affinity for Julia! If she could convince the dinosaur boy that Julia was actually sleeping more peacefully than the rest of the field right now, maybe he'd calm down...!
... Well, that plan went up in smoke pretty quickly. Meara drew the creature's attention with some decidedly taunting language, foiling her plan before it started. For just a moment, she judged her ally harshly for that... but it seemed it had all been in the service of another strategy. Probably better than what her bubbles would have accomplished, in hindsight.
What wasn't so great was the fact that Meara was now caught a hair away from falling from the bridge!
Should Farrah try to help her? "Oooh, I want to accomplish much more! But I am simply not located on the correct floor!" Should she tell the whole field that Meara was down there and hope somebody pulled her up? "If an enemy saw her hanging from that tether... an unscrupulous opponent could decide to sever...!"
Tetsuko was down there, though... Tetsuko, the fastest draw in the east! Okay, now she was just making up fake accolades for her allies to try to calm herself down. But still! She had faith that her ally would act before the enemy could. She released another bubble to sound the alarm, allowing it to detonate against the floor of the bridge.
"Tetsuko!" "Meara fell!" "Help her!" "Chain or something!"
Hopefully, the samurai (or maybe one of the others) still had enough left in the tank to help. For now, Farrah gripped the pouch harder and braced for impact... Was Kirk going to throw himself into the enemy again? Maybe not, but even if he didn't, one enemy or another was sure to find a way to collide with her savior. These things always found a way of coming to pass.
