Meara watched as three of their opponents dropped down onto the bridge her, Jisa, and Tetsu were on. “Well well, looks like we have company mates, let’s give 'em a nice UA styled welcome.” She said as she took a few steps forward. She saw that one dinosaur kid, another one she didn’t recognize, and of course, goddamn Carmichael was there. “Of course you’d come down here after me flame boy.” She thought as she saw the third guy jump down to the lower copper bridge. “Hey one of them jumped down to deal with Jace!” She called out. Truth be told she was slightly happy that the numbers were even now. Granted they technically had one more person than their opponents, but she wanted to keep Jisa from fighting as much as possible. They were gonna need him at full strength if they wanted to win, so he needed to be conserving his energy as much as possible.
She snapped out of her thoughts as the T-Rex looking one spun around violently and started destroying the wooden support. They finished their whirling frenzy by slamming their tail into Tetsuko. It looked like a solid hit, but Meara knew that Tetsuko was stronger than her slim body led on. Confident that the blow didn’t hurt her too bad Meara pressed onward. “Jisa, get behind us!” Meara called out as she raised her cannon up. Taking Jack’s advice she fired half a dozen blasts at the legs of their large dinosaurian adversary. Next she turned her attention to Carmichael and fired off a few blasts at him. “Awww look at you Carmichael! Seems like you can play nice with others! That’s some good progress!” She taunted. Meara turned to her current partner in crime Tetsuko as she kept up her defensive stance. “So Tetsu my friend, lizard boy or Colonel Frosty bullocks?” She said, asking her sword wielding companion who she wanted to take on. “Personally, I don’t care which, if you do happen to want Carmichael tho… Do me a favor and deck him in the face for me.” She said as she looked over her shoulder to see if Jisa had gotten behind them. While she wanted to kick Carmichael’s ass herself, she knew that she had to try and keep a level head for the team's sake. She also knew that it wouldn’t be wise to drag out the fight longer than necessary. Though she did have that trump card she could pull out if necessary.

"Aaaah, weell, actually, you see! This is how I'd want to use my quirk normally! It's better to have the threat just to deter, than to sudden deafness recklessly confer," Farrah responded to Meera with an awkward smile, as she pointed out that she really didn't want to blow out anybody's ear-drums with her quirk if she could help it anyway... she had an upper limit somewhere, but having not beein in a lot of combat situations (or any that involved real opponents), she'd never really tested it. That was a fine excuse, but in reality, she wasn't sure if she could pull the trigger risk hurting her ally, even if it was for the sake of their strategy... the time may come during the contest where the situation would call for it. The answer would have to wait till then, since the time had come for Meara to go her own way. They'd learn together if she was capable of doing that.
For that matter, Kirk wasn't so confident about her ability to keep that perch atop his pouch without falling out either. "Not to worry! I'm a cheerleader, remember? I haven't had any sort of fall since that one time in December!" she confidently pronounced, placing one hand on her chest and tilting her nose up proudly... A workplace accident rate of once per three months or so for a single employee wasn't actually all that great, though. With a brief pause, wiggling her butt in the seat to get it just right, she then placed both hands on the traps between his neck and shoulders for stability while they took off.
Farrah gave Jace a smirk and a wink that said, without using so many words, that she wasn't taking cuddling off the table either because he wasn't cat-like enough or on fire, come what may. Whether his wishes entered into it in her mind remained to be seen.
Jisa had already taken off, along with Tetsuko, who vowed to protect him. It was a bit of a ninja infiltration, samurai front-line situation! "A strategy that dates back to that era: feudal! Going up against Tetsuko would be sheerly brutal!" she thought to herself. Now, all that was left was to tag along with Kirk and focus on protecting the flanks, so no one could maneuver around Kirk to get to their flag. It'd be a bit of a tall order, especially given the jumping power she knew at least one of her opponents had... some airborne bubbles might be in order as the contest progressed.
The poetess of the group, hitching a ride in Kirk's pouch, would find herself carried right into the thick of it, as both teams formed mid-ranged offenses against each other, intending to stop the others from crossing to their side. Nobody was really going for a throw off the bridge just yet; in fighting game terms, this was all "zoning." Well, there was a bit of hand to hand going on elsewhere, but not right in front of her. Frankly, she thought to herself, she wished that it was a more martial artsy type... this blue fire quirk didn't look like the kind of thing she could go toe to toe with easily!
As she contemplated whether she should erect another wall or just let them have it, Kirk chose for her, giving her a clear direction. "Yes, I was thinking that as well! And with this rhyme, now, they swell!" she agreed, standing up for a moment and keeping both hands in place, so that she could fire five bubbles over Kirk's head without hitting him. The arc of Kirk's projectiles were as intuitive as tennis balls on the court... Farrah's were like something with physics that didn't take real world factors like gravity into account, just moving slowly out from the circle shape of her mouth. Rather than utilizing only whispers, again, she decided to fill a few with normal volume spoken words... that way, the enemies would get the hint that she had the ability to raise their volume. Still, she'd keep them no louder than Kirk's voice, as to go any further could injure her own teammates (including Kirk, if it popped in his face). She oriented them very close together, but with a little bit of horizontal distance between each, so that if he stayed at a range they would spread out a bit before reaching him and couldn't all be shot at once.
The advantage of this strange firing method: with their slowness, they'd probably form a second salvo behind Kirk's own. The disadvantage: there was plenty of time to anticipate and pop or evade them if the enemy was so inclined. To use them at all, she had to play a "guess where the enemy is going" game... Luckily, in the case of a bridge, there were really only so many places they could go. If the enemy intended to continue straight, she'd have a line to pop on them. The issues would be if they decided to join the others below or take the up-and-over approach.
Little did Farrah know that her plans would go off the rails moments later, as Kirk ran from mid-range... to short-range... to what could properly be referred to as "in your face" range! Farrah lost her cap, unable to hold it as she used one hand to keep a grasp on Kirk's traps and the other to desperately grasp at Arthur's band. It was reckless, but Kirk seemed to be making the effort to put her in position for it, so she had to take the shot!

Kirk would have been dumb, if he hadn't been listening to the sounds of crackling wood under him as he ran forward. Man, this thing couldn't even handle him running? Now of course, it lead into it being very easy to throw stuff around, and pretty much anything became a weapon with the destruction, but he could really understand why everybody else had gone on the lower floor. In that regard, maybe carrying somebody on his back wasn't such a smart idea. it just made him even bulkier! ...Okay, yeah, not saying that outloud, to respect the classic brorule number 43: No mentioning your pals weight unless they want to know it, especially if it is a girl! Besides, the priority currently, was the knight right in front of them!
In that regard, Kirk wasn't at all surprised, that the knight pretty much sliced through the ball with ease. "I uh, Should have guessed that!" Kirk grunted awkwardly. That's right, this was the way throwing a ball at Tetsuko usually went. that and the guy was chivalrous and protective, of course he would be ready! Guess he got the fight he had taunted to happen... And now started the quick thinking about what the heck he could do...and standing around was just making the whole thing MORE brittle! However, then his eyes landed on something special right under Arthur... Well, Something huge to be exact. "So, Lucas is already breaking the front!"
And that actually gave him an idea! "Can't let him be the only one, right Farrah?!" He sheathed his tennis racket. "You see, I've learned a thing or two about fighting sword fighters! And number one thing, is that they are pretty much impossible to take on from the front!" He proceeded to pull out his trusty baseball bat instead... "But like any good athlete, it's all in the integrity of the legs! You can sweep people RIGHT off their feet, and get away with it!" There is a reason why the most classic move in sports was to tackle a person down. "However, with the ground this weak, I bet I can dunk this knight into next tuesday and the bottom floor!" His rambunctious shouting was a clear taunt, as he proceeded to take a couple of steps back. "So now it's time to HANG ON, and ENJOY THE RIDE!"
And with that, he charged, proceeding to take a humongous leap of faith, with his Baseball bat held high, As he was seemingly trying to to swing his bat down on him, so Arthur would crash through the floor from the sheer impact of the blow! "Hoooooomerun...!" However, Weirdly enough, Kirk flipped in the air, giving his jump length, as he proceeded to squat in the air, and thrusted downwards, as his body dropped like an anvil downwards! "BASEDROP!" With that, he would crash through wooden flooring, making all three, Arthur him, and Farrah fall downwards, hopefully surprising and distracting arthur enough from all things happening!
But the main target of the attack was just under him! with his trajectory, he was gonna land right on Lucases back, with the extra weight of Farrah, and soon Arthur following in full armor! "GERONIMO, HAHA!" Hitting a new and improved T-rex needed whole new ways to go about it after all!

Tetsuko took note of her furry friend's abilities, informed that he wouldn't be too effective as an attacker, but was quite slippery. By using the supports of the bridge, he'd be able to avoid plenty of trouble, and he would do just that as the group descended down a level. They wouldn't get too far, of course, with quite the obstacles in their way. The T-Rex would just be the start of their troubles, in all likelihood... That great beast alone was a dangerous adversary. Tetsuko's quickfire archery managed to apply a bit of stopping power to the beast, but it wasn't nearly enough to stop his rampage. If anything, it only made the T-Rex angrier! Just as Tetsuko noted the two others who had dropped down behind him, relayed to Jace by Meara, the giant would unleash a destructive sweep of his tail! "Jisa-san, careful! Tetsuko called out, as pillars were smashed away. As the tail swung around towards her, the iron forming Tetsuko's crossbow quickly changed shape, a simple round iron shield forming from her palm. With force, she grounded herself, slamming that iron shield into the approaching tail while anchoring her feet with sturdy iron spurs! Even if she was blocking, she'd do it with motion, pivoting into the tail with her shield slam to try and slow it down! Tō Kata : Hayafune 韜之形 : 早船 Spring Form : Early Vessel
Even then, the force and difference in sizes meant she slid back, iron spurs cutting into the bridge as she dropped her weight and held back the force of the tail, bearing the weight difference! Blasts from Meara flew past Tetsuko, aimed at the dinosaurs legs as Tetsuko held him back. The other girl then asked how they were proceeding, and although Tetsuko didn't exactly feel like delaying any decision on that front, it looked like she wouldn't have to. For, as she was holding the T-Rex back, a certain sportsman decided to drop in. Literally. "JISA-SAN, FORWARD WITH ME!"Hoping that Kirk would distract the T-Rex with his dynamic entry, Tetsuko rushed forward, holding her shield out against any other tail attacks but trusting that Lucas would have bigger issues! Now was a fine chance to press forward and gain the advantage, after all. "KEEP US COVERED, MEARA-SAN!"She kept her commands simple, deciding straightaways to seize this opportunity to push forward, and would attempt to dash around Lucas, giving a wide berth to avoid being crushed if he fell. If she managed to bypass him, hopefully with Jisa nearby, they could push through and leave the beast in a vulnerable position, while also ready to address their other opponents! Wanting to keep them on the backfoot, if Tetsuko managed to run around Lucas, she'd keep her shield raised and sword back, ready to charge through whatever was in her way! words: 000 • tags: you • notes: stuff

Given combat tactics were not his expertise he took the comment and semi command from his teammates seriously and on cue or at least he did his best to do so at least. Kicking off two supports as the vibration of the ones crushed by the large enemy tail were felt even in the ones he kicked from as he tried to take a crouching stance remaining in a crouched stance briefly as Meara would release her ferocious blasts and using her own tactics. Jisa remaining low for a short time where he'd landed remaining still for a short time trying to make himself appear as smaller target while his allies defended him for the moment.
A smart move too given if he'd attempted to go forward by remaining on the supports as seemed to be his original plan he'd have likely gained unstable footing with the destruction happening and likely would have fallen to the safety net bellow. Both Meara's and Tetsuko's call out thankfully had been valuable in his combative tactics.
Things were happening so fast and Jisa felt his body tense a bit and felt himself in a sense just move along with his teammates call outs. He couldn't help but feel a gulp swallow down his throat as he observed Kirk's heroic entrance. It was definitely a bit intimating to see all his peers giving their all.
Not wanting to let them down he'd hug close to Tetsuko slowly trying to get more and more range slowly slipping further towards the edge of the bridge looking for a opening. He was leaning further and further towards the edge as Tetsuko covered him drawing in a deep heavy breath to prepare himself as once the opening was formed with Tetsuko between him and his foes he'd attempt for it.
Shooting forward leaning forward running at what might have looked like a full fuzzy burn. Risky but he didn't want to be the only one weakly hiding the whole match. Shooting forward from the opening like a fuzzy bolt hoping to catch his foes off guard as he shot like a bullet or tried to forward hoping Testuko could continue to cover him. "I-I.. I'm going for it!" He'd say after bolting forward kicking off the ground with the full intention of using strong hops to breach distances as well as become a harder to hit target.
---- -Jisa listens to his allies, Taking cover quickly behind Testuko and Meara for a moment. -As the barrage and Kirk attack along with Tetsuko's maneuvers Jisa sticks close to Tetsu as suggested using her as cover as well as to try and breach a opening. -When he sees a chance somewhat intimidated by his own allies heroism but also impressed by it. Jisa seizes a opening after running next to Tetsuko and shoots forward in a quick erratic and risky shot. Attempting to bolt quickly towards the other end or at least beginning too using bursts of speed and strong hopping to gain large leaps or so is his attempt likely opening himself up as well. - Note still his cloth is tied around the base of his tail.

Jace was underneath the bridge still while everyone was topside, either on the stone or wooden bridge. But while keeping track of the entire gang wasn't too difficult, even being able to just barely smell the feint traces that were Farrah and Kirk, along with all the enemies who'd stayed on the wooden bridge, clinging too the stone bridge very suddenly got much harder. He wasn't sure what set Lucas off, maybe Tetsuko hit him hard or Meara listened too him and hit his legs, but either way the T-Rex had gone from being an obstacle to a stage hazard as he rampaged around the stone bridge. While this might be manageable for those topside, Jace was having a much harder time of it on the underbelly of the stone bridge, having to slow his pace to a crawl while clinging to the bridge for dear life as parts crumbled off and there were smashes against the support beams as Lucas' tail caused just as much havoc as the dino himself did. It would seem that cat boy was in a bit of a snag, having to slow his pace just to keep from being shaken off.
But just ass suddenly as it came, it would stop, Jace able to smell Tetsuko right next to the giant dinosaur kid now. But, this was less a case of relief and more "out of the frying pan, and into the oven". Jace would be able to hear the splintering of the bridge, as some of the scents that had been on TOP of the wooden bridge were now very much not on the wooden bridge, instead now on the stone bridge right across from Tetsuko, and by proxy Jace, even if he was below them. But even that wouldn't keep being the case, as Jace would hear words that caused his eyes to widen in surprise. ...Mind covering below? Even with Lucas roaring, he heard that part, and suddenly the part of the bridge right in front of him blew apart, as a blonde boy fell in front of him. At first the cat boy tried to block some of the debris from his face with his arm, before he found himself staring at the boy, the shock on his face palpable. U-Uhh-Uhhhh.... He couldn't really get any words out, instead spattering nothing, before he'd simply stare at the boy for a moment, still in shock. Then he'd scurry up to the side of the bridge.
Jace wasnt averse to combat per se, buuuut that had him in the disadvantage in every way. The boy had been on the same the copper bridge, something Jace couldn't climb, in a completely open area, and instead of Jace getting the surprise attack it'd been flipped and Jace was the one caught off guard. He had no real desire to fight a battle stacked against him. But that didn't mean he was going to ignore the blonde either. But before he did that, he needed to handle what was topside first.
The surprise of being dropped in on meant he wasn't quite sure what was going on anymore, but as he peeked over the side, he realized he'd managed to come up at one heck of a time. Now Kirk was dropping in too, breaking through the wooden bridge as Tetsuko charged forward towards the girl who had been on top of the T-Rex but no longer was, and the flame guy. And as she did, Jace saw a slight opportunity, and for all of Jace's MANY faults, hesitation wasn't one of them. He rushed the exposed girl, matching Tetsuko's charge in a side ambush, hoping to catch both her and the fire guy off guard. His body would ignite as he rushed towards her on all fours, popping out of the side of the bridge, and if he saw her band he'd reach out and claw for it, before smashing into her whether he saw it or not, trying too push her towards the edge of the bridge. He'd then follow up on his attack with a kick, trying to finish her and kick her off the edge into the net below, and retreating back towards Meara, Lucas, and Kirk while Tetsuko charged towards the flame guy. Though he'd stop short of getting actually involved in Kirk and Lucas' fight. He wasn't a titan, and wasn't fit to join a battle of such.
If he'd managed to snag Julia's armband, he'd try to find Meara. Ummm...M-Meara!! Here! Then he'd toss it to the girl, trusting her to keep better care of it than him. He'd stop for a moment, considering whether to ask for help below. U-Ummm...Good luck... He decided against it, looking to the ground as he changed what he was going to say. With such a big fight on the stone bridge, he should probably try going at this alone. And so he would, running towards the end of the bridge again, and once again climbing off the side. But this time, he was going to try to have the advantage.
Jace would try and smell the blonde boy, trying to make sure he knew where he was before he continued, then he'd slowly crawl forwards, peeking to see if the boy was looking straight at him. If he was, then Jace would simply adjust his position somewhat, coming in from an angle instead of head on, but if not, than Jace would charge ahead, running on the bottom of the stone bridge and trying to pounce on the boy while aflame, and hopefully with the advantage of surprise.

STORYTELLER The trade of many attempted attacks from each side quickly became a full out war with their quirk abilities hitting everywhere on the bridges, specially the wooden one. Lucas' tail hit dead on against the iron shield formed up by Tetsuko, with the battle of raw strength he tried with all of his might to push the Shinobu off the side of the stone bridge. Julia cheered on Lucas, not even focusing on making her own move, which honestly irritated Gregory, making him slap the back of her head and tell her to focus. But even before that Meara prepared a barrage of shots towards the hulking legs of the T-Rex boy. The many succesful hits makes him roar out and unable to continue the struggle fight with Tetsuko, he retracts his tail just as quick as he delivered it. ''THAT HUUUURTS!'' Julia clenched her fist and did a small hop on the spot. ''Hey! No one's supposed to know his weakness!''
Back on the top with the collision between a loyal knigth and an athlete with a gut of might quickly became the end of the wooden bridge. Arthur shouts out towards Kirk with his sword prepared, not even moving from the spot he clashes his bone sword against the baseball bat with one fierce energetic reaction between their weapons. What he forgot however is that such a powerful looking scene requires both hands on the handle, that and being able to keep the downward smash at bay. With his hands occupied he could see the reaching arm over Kirk's shoulder, Arthur thought to himself that he was careless, but he couldn't risk getting struck defeated when clashing with Kirk that hard, bandana or not, Arthur will do his duty!
''I WILL NOT FALTER TO YOUR STRENGTH! PREPARE YOURSELF!''
With a roar worthy of many praise, Arthur pushes back at the baseball strike, leaving Kirk in the air for a bit where he oddly enough executes a flip?! Arthur widened his eyes, did the atheltic man plan for a second run? But even before Arthur could crack up an emergency plan he felt the wood below him give in, the loud creaking eventually turning into an explosion from pressured weight! And the final nail in the coffin was given by Kirk as he slams down, forcing all three of them to drop down first before the rest of the bridge crashes upon nearly everyone.
''In every situation always be mindful of consequences!''
Soulfire spoke through her megaphone while witness the wooden bridge collapse like a line of dominos, the effect it put into the match is that everyone recieves E rank blunt damage from the falling wood, unless they got protection, which happens to be what both Gregory and Julia did, going under Lucas' front they both allowed Lucas to take the hit and brush it off, that is if only was mere wood falling down. Julia cheered on Lucas for being such a wonderful protector, but the impact from Kirk hitting dead on Lucas' head made the dino boy grunt and get those fuzzy eyes, losing a bit of balance. ''UWAGH?! M-mah heeead aaargh!'' ''AAAAAH, Lucas they hit you directly from abooove!!!'' ''Tsk! Looks like mister knightley was unable to hold the bridge safe!''
Arthur falls right on Lucas' back and rolls down from the side with a loud crash with his armour, he grunts and slowly gets up, gripping on his bonesword still, looking around, the moment with both Tetsuko and the furred ball making their attempt to get past them all. ''EVERYONE! They are making a run for it!'' ''HEH! No problemo! I got them in my sight!'' With Lucas still fuzzy and Gregory not exactly in the best position to release his bleu flames it was up to Julia to make a strike! Charging her left leg she took aim right at Jisa. ''I'll knock you back all the way to the start!'' But she was abruptely interrupted once a third student suddenly emerged from the side of the bridge, Jace pounding forward left Julia screaming. ''WAAAAA A TIGER ON FIRE IS ABOUT TO EAT MEEE!'' And just like that, her bandana on her arm got snagged by Jace, leaving her speechless and eye widened. ''Huh?... NO WAAAY! I WAS TRICKED!'' ''You idiot! There was no trick!''
Hearing the commotion from above, especially Arthur's warning made Holmes sigh, he took his eyes off Jace for just a brief moment and he was already gone, but it didn't matter if Jace returned down below or not, Holmes could simply force him along with a lot else down. Holmes plants his wrists against eachother and aim his palms up to the belly of the stone bridge. ''It's not like I can't reach my enemy if I am below, I got quite the reach..'' Talking to himself he ignited his quirk, a large cone shape that swirled fast appeared in the air, like a visible vortex that quickly made the stone bridge get bent downwards, being sucked in. Gregory and Julia felt the effect from below and jumped back away from the approaching Shinobu and the dashing Rabbit. ''Heh! Have fun down there!'' Knowing what was about to happen Gregory watched the bridge infront of them just collapse down, effectively making both Jisa and Tetsuko fall down into the vortex effect. The rubble of stone gets near Holmes' palms but gets shoved aside and pushed off over the bridge, his hands effectively acted like a powered vaccum! Watching both of them along with Jace falling down Holmes ceased his Vortex and prepared another one once they land down on the copper bridge. ''Now I know which one is the 'Ace' of your team... that speedy rabbit.''
Lucas was now separated from Gregory and Julia, but he comes back to his senses and senses someone standing right on him, someone foreign! ''HEY HEY! GET OOOOFF ME!'' He roars out and thrashes about, indefinitely forcing Kirk along with Farrah to get shoved off from his body. Arthur took this opportunity to take command of Lucas. ''Lucas! Protect your cloth! I'll guard you onward so just charge with all might!'' Seems like both Arthur and Lucas was about to make their own charge to the finish line.
Meanwhile, Melissa had fallen down too since she stood on the wooden bridge, resulting her laying on her back in her own tar creation on the stone bridge, swirly eyes indicating her unconciousness.
-Kirk, Arthur, Lucas, Meara, Jisa, Tetsuko, Melissa recieves E rank damage from falling rubble. -Lucas gets a solid strike on his head, leaving him confused for a great amount of time before snapping out of it. -Julia loses her cloth to Jace. -Both Gregory and Julia steps away from the approaching Tetsuko and Jisa to let them both fall into the vortex below. Jace is caught in the vortex aswell from the side of the bridge. -Holmes takes aim at Jisa.

Meara instinctively ducked and covered her head with her arms as the wooden bridge above them fell. Large slats of wood bounced off her armor, causing nothing more than a few small scrapes and scratches to her suit. “Minor damage detected all over the exterior of the suit.” A female voice said to Meara. “Yeah no shit.” Meara murmured as the last of the debri fell. After the last of the debri settled Meara stood straight up. And looked back over at her opponents across the bridge. As she went to take a few steps back she saw that the whole first bridge was indeed completely destroyed. “Fuck Carmichael, you and your friends trying to cripple us or something.” She shot out. “Not a very sound fucking strategy when your team is down here as well dumbass” she said
She saw Tetsuko and Jisa run towards their opponents to try and push past when a big vortex suddenly appeared and sucked Jisa, Tetsuko, and a reappearing Jase down. “Shit guys!” she called out. She feebly reached out to them as they disappeared, assumingly down to the copper bridge below. Her head snapped back up, glaring through her helmet at the three people in front of her. “Yer gonna pay fer that one.” she stated flatly. She took aim at the two of them and launched a small barrage at them about four blasts each aiming once again for T-Rex boy’s legs and at Carmichael’s stupid face. As she fired her last shot she dove behind some light cover that the wooden bridge debris made.
She looked over and saw that Kirk was also close by her and let out a relieved sigh knowing now it wasn’t going to be two on one. Though they were still outnumbered up top from what she could tell. “Oi Kirk glad to see ye join me down here.” she said as she looked over to her fellow UA student. “Where’s Freyah at? I thought she was with you.” She asked as she blindly fired over the debri towards the direction her two closest opponents were. “As you can see I lost the three people I was with so we’re outnumbered up here. Thankfully that means they have the number’s advantage down there. And with Tetsu being one of the ones down there, I’m sure they’ll be fine.” She said as she thought things over in her head. “So Kirk, Which one of these jerks do you want to take out? I’ve been trying to chop down the big boy over there from the legs if you want to finish him off. I personally wouldn’t mind knocking the other ones teeth out.” She said to him as she peeked over the cover. “Decision is yours and I’ll follow your lead with whatever you choose.” She said as she took in some deep breaths. “Stay calm Meara, don’t do something stupid and reckless just because it’s him.” She said to herself. reminding herself that there was a bigger goal she was working for with her team, and she didn’t need to potentially hinder that by being reckless.

Farrah was well aware that many heroes, including support types like rescue specialists, spent a lot of time in disaster zones, avoiding fires, debris, and all manner of things as they went for specific objectives. Ironically though, the rescue course from last year, which was specifically designed to emulate natural disasters, was far less perilous than the current environment. It had fire! It had vortexes! It had massive tar pits! It had a dinosaur! And...
It had falling debris!
For a moment, Farrah was worried for her safety, but she soon realized she was in a better position than anyone to avoid getting conked on the head by falling wood. She withdrew inside Kirk's pocket for a bit and waited it out, given that his hardened back muscle would take much less damage than her vulnerable noggin. Once she judged it safe, she poked her head back out and surveyed the damage. There was... a lot of damage! Everyone looked various degrees of roughed up. Her pop-up to try to grab Arthur's band hadn't been successful either. The knight wasn't exactly holding the bridge, but he wasn't deprived of his band. That said, it looked like her team had had success otherwise. She hoped Julia wouldn't be too miffed about losing out two years in a row. Neither had gone particularly glamorously for her and it seemed like she was losing her cool a bit. Even that knight was yelling now!
Now, Farrah found herself nearly an afterthought, still tucked away in Kirk's back with good protection, but little success so far. While her team as a whole was doing pretty well, she hadn't managed to grab a band yet, and rather than achieving any sort of deterrent with her bubbles, the whole situation had been so chaotic that they really hadn't accomplished a thing. On one hand, that was good... it meant that the battle remained isolated pretty much to the center of the bridge, rather than spreading due to anyone trying to slip through. On the other hand, she hated to think she wasn't pulling her weight.
Another strategy occurred to her... that giant vortex was going to be a problem and it seemed like the one that had made it still had plenty of energy, hearing him talk. She couldn't get a great look at him, since he was below her, but it seemed he'd realized that Jisa was the one he had to focus on. Her bubbles weren't going to stop a vortex, that's for sure, but... they might be able to redirect it with a bit of trickery. Almost all of the students were still together, watching each other's backs, all accounted for... still, in this chaos, one was away from the group and with that bridge collapse, they weren't likely to be able to say where she'd ended up. That could be an opportunity, Farrah realized.
Farrah cleared her throat. She'd only heard the girl talk a little bit before, but she tried to do her best impersonation. The poetess stuck her head just out of Kirk's back pocket and aimed past the floor of the bridge, so that bubbles would float to the floor below, preparing a few bubbles packed with words loud enough to be shouts... not superhuman powered up shouts, just loud regular shouts. She apologized to Jace mentally, but if he was friends with Kirk, this level of volume ought to be no problem for him. Finally, she released three bubbles worth of frenzied shouting... She'd give them some time to float down, then snap her fingers three times in quick succession. The words that would be released were...
"I'M FALLING!" a rough approximation of Melissa's voice would come from below.
"HELP ME, HOLMES!" it would continue.
"I'LL GIVE YOU A KISS!" it finished, sounding full of tears and desperation.
Some instinct had told her to add that last one. Even if Holmes wasn't fooled, maybe he'd be distracted enough to stop focusing on Jisa. Then again, there might not be any point in this trick. It was likely one of the others would be moving to intercept Holmes now, realizing the threat he posed to their group. It seemed like Meara, at least, was helping against the top-row gang. With any luck, Meara and Kirk would be enough to keep them at bay while Jisa did his work.
The shouting had roughed up Farrah's throat for a bit. Luckily, her volume had been pretty low up to this point, so she thought she had the capability of using her bubbles for a while longer if she had to. Now, she just had to keep hoping nobody was going to spill her out of Kirk's back.

Kirks trick had worked perfectly! And with that he crashed through the bridge! ...But in his excitement and concentration on somehow getting over this obviously dangerous foe, he had forgotten the simple thing he had had to repeat to himself a countless times: Roughhousing on a weak bridge leads to the whole bridge coming down! "...Uuuh, Whoops!" The plan had been to just drop down onto Lucas, but now, the situation was quite a bit bigger than he was! He briefly placed his arms over himself, and trying to cover Farrah with his pouch to prevent her from taking damage... Atleast Kirk was thickskinned enough that a bit of shrapnel from wood didn't hurt THAT bad! "Sorry dudes! not uh... exactly my best of plans!" And with the teacher shouting about it at the same time, Kirk couldn't help but feel like he was aimed at. "I KNOW, I KNOW, SORRY!"
However, atleast the part about Lucas being knocked out for a while had been successful! For now he looked around, trying to see where the big boys bandana was... "But some parts of the plans can always be salvaged, am I right, hehe?" However, with the dinosaur very soon standing back up and starting to go full on Rodeo with him on board, the boy was thrown, off, and there wasn't much he could do about it, as he tumbled down to the ground, getting couple of bruises. "Well... Darn." This just couldn't get much worse, could it? Technically it could, they could be hurt way worse...
However, more importantly, now it came down to what they should do next... and looking over, he could see Meara calling him over. She was looking fine. And as a question about their own health came to a question, Kirk shrugged. "I think we are fine yes!" For a moment, he had to acknowledge the stuff in his pouch, just to make sure Farrah hasn't fallen during this whole mess. "Farrah is in the pouch safe too!" Kirk was given the chance to decide which one of the duo they would go for next... ugh, hard choices. Technically, now the pair was pretty much a cool as heck combo of a medieval knight riding on a dinosaur, but how the heck would they beat that said combo? "I assume you've been aiming for his legs?" Assumedly, those were already pretty beaten up... "I think he has taken such a beating, that he should be close to fall! Either that or I just tire him out and distract him, while you guys do something else!"
He proceeded to open his pouch to let Farrah out... "The next thing I am doing is gonna be a bit too rough for passengers... not that the previous stuff was THAT much different, hehe!" With that, he proceeded to do his usual mad man thing... And proceeded to run towards Lucas, grabbing onto his tail with that sports mans grip! "Okay, Where did this guy put his thing last time?" Yup, this time he was trying to do the same thing as Jace last time, when he was like that annoying gnat... Except well... More on the very frustratingly sized rat in this case... Rat with teeth! He Gripped his baseball bat, and proceeded to bang it against the tail! "HEY! BIG DUDE AND IRON MAN DUDE! YOU GUYS WANNA TELL WHERE YOUR STUFF IS!?" In this case he was hopeful Lucas still held that primal need of a dog from last time. And like a dog, maybe he wouldn't be able to reach his tail.
...And partially he was hoping that with him now prepared to stick to him, he could stay on without needing to worry about bad things... He was sturdy enough to be a decoy for a while, right? "Let's see which one of us tires first, doggie!"

| No I ain't running running running yeah I'm coming coming coming yeah Knocking all these demons that been tryna run up on me yeah Oh I keep on fighting, they keep coming coming coming yeah I'ma keep keep on fighting till I'm gone I NEED THE GLORY |
The T-Rex Tetsuko had been fighting was getting more pressured by the second, having already pulled back thanks to Meara's blasts, which gave the swordswoman her chance to further live up to her assigned role as a 'bodyguard', as was necessary, given a certain plan gone a bit awry... Kirk's little party crash had ended up being very effective. Too effective, one could say... Although it let them put further pressure on the vanguard of the second bridge, his attack brought with it a shower of debris. "Jisa-san!" The Shindou girl would reach out to him, hoping he would hop over in time to be covered from the falling wood by her shield. Tetsuko grit her teeth and took the debris on her own back though, using her iron-filled body's natural toughness to bear the impact. Bringing these bridges down was a good strategy to use, but they had to be careful about it... The best way to keep safe, and to keep their 'ace' protected, was to spread out pressure the opposing team from all angles. This was a battle of taking and keeping ground, if they could control the field, victory was already theirs. They managed to rush past fairly well at first, thanks to the surprisingly effective moves by Jace. However, just as it looked like they might be able to break through and put the opposition in disarray, they played their own trump card. The ground beneath them bent away, and the trio was pulled down with the bridge, what had to be a seriously powerful Quirk sending them to the next level. This was bad, and Tetsuko wasn't a fan of what this meant for their tactical advantage... She grit her teeth, landing as she rolled on her shield and brought her eyes up to the boy who'd sent them down there. He was likely strong, given how easily he tore apart that bridge... But damned if Tetsuko was going to let him do a thing to Jisa. She was ready to shield him, but in that moment, a better opportunity floated down. Farrah's bubbles were caught in the corner of Tetsuko's eye, and she discerned their intent the moment that voice burst forth. With that, she attacked. The swordswoman's veins began to become prominent, taking an silverish hue as she took complete control over the iron in her body. With this grasp, she exploded forth, dashing right at Holmes with her sword raised! Unpō : Suisei運法 : 水星 Motion Method : QuicksilverPicking up speed, she brought that momentum around in a wide slash at the boy's neck, hoping to render him unconscious with a powerful blunt blow while he was distracted. Tō Kata : Matsukaze韜之形 : 松風 Spring Form : Whistling WindKnowing he was probably to strong to be taken down in a single blow, she followed up, a pair of rapid-fire slashes in quick succession, powered by her waist as she swung her blade back and forth in a fluid, flowing motion. Once again, aiming for his neck. Habiki Kata : Itto Ryōdan刃挽之形 : 一刀両断 Autumn Form : Twice Splitting SwordIf he was still standing, Tetsuko would stand before Holmes, her sword raised and ready to do battle, as she gestured for Jace and Jisa to try and get past him. "Careful there. Jisa-san might be our ace, but you'll lose your head if you take your eyes off me."

The vortex and rubble had not been kind this round, Jisa found his footing lost briefly and slipping downward from it and several harsh and strong stones scratching, scraping, and bashing upon his small fuzzy body. Taking what fell like a small beating as he fell briefly ducking and rolling into the fall as best he could trying to make himself into a smaller target as he was rolled up to avoid some of the rubble damage as best as he could but finding himself briefly stopped and upon the ground now. He was dazed and wasn't fully sure what level he had truly been on now or not. Confusion wracking his mind for a few moments as he tried to shake off a dizzy nature setting in. Shaking his head side to side while on his knees for a moment or two trying to snap himself back into his senses and get a feel for where he was and current situation as well once his senses began to come too. Thankfully once he came too he realized thanks to Tetsuko's aid things had not harmed him nearly as much as it might have otherwise. He let out a heavy breath looking up at her feeling himself cough lightly when he first tried to speak. The second time allowing him to make words however. "That hurt... Thank's for the cover." He'd say calmly in a soft voice. Things were getting intense and more intense with each passing set of moments of this epic battle of school vs school.
He coughed heavily as he wobbled lightly to his feet as Tetsuko seemed ready on the attack yet again gesturing for her and another to rush ahead. Was this the chance now? Maybe he'd tried to soon before. His vision was still not entirely focused but he would do what he could as gestured all the same.
Using several strong jumps and leaps Jisa would push himself to his max speed if he could even if he was lightly wobbled. Aiming to kick hard off each thrust forward going full Hare one might say. Leaping hard using strong massive jumps with his hard leg strength to shoot forward as best he could with each leap and strong kick. Aiming to try and become a hard to hit target even if at times it sacrificed some of his distanced gained. Strong jumps going from on direction to another but always going forward modestly as well. He was ready to burn himself out if he could only make it to the end.
--- -Due to rubble damage and the vortex Jisa was briefly stunned and dazed, Only still standing thanks to the defense aided from Tetsuko. -While still lightly dazed Jisa would attempt to do as gestured to and rush forward yet again. -Jisa begins pushing himself to full speed hopping around trying to make himself hard to chase or attack,. Pushing himself forward as he uses all he his power and leaping power. The best he can muster.

Things were turning...chaotic,and a lot faster than Jace had expected. Jace turned into a spectator as Kirk crashed down through the wooden bridge, turning the corner of the stone bridge as he retreated from Holmes just in time to watch the magnificent jock come slamming down like something out of an action anime. The only problem was, the bridge went down with him. Jace himself was thankfully insulated from the damage, him hiding on the side of the stone bridge protecting him from the majority of the debris stay for some dust and splinters. But everyone topside wasn't so lucky, and Jace saw them all get showered with wooden debris from the collapsing bridge. But where there's misfortune, there's often opportunity, and Jace saw his as the other team was distracted by the unexpected drop in, and rushed out, igniting himself for his attack. And it was good he did too, as soon they were attempting to mount a counter attack just as he hit the one girl who'd been riding Lucas. She'd been aiming at Jisa and Tetsuko, not even aware of his approach until he was right on top of her. The reaction was...extreme, wincing as she screamed she was about to be eaten by a tiger as he went for her bandana. What...I'm not a cannibal! The cat boy would cry out himself, indignant at the accusation. While his attempts to knock her out didn't work out, he did score one prize. Her bandana. As she cried out about him tricking her, he'd respond in a totally mature manner by sticking his tongue out. Heh. He'd chuckle to himself while smirking towards the girl, before managing to undo any ideas he might be cool by proceeding to call out to Meara and tossing the band towards her, only to watch it be completely ignored and flutter to the ground in a forgotten heap. Jace stared confused for a moment, before remembering the rules were different from last year, there was no recovering bandanas. So he was left standing there, blushing wildly in embarrassment, as everything started to presume around him once more. After a few seconds of stewing in his own embarrassment, Jace too would be on his way. Returning to the blonde boy he'd left underside. This time, he was going to get the drop on him. And he kept this mindset as he ran to the end of the bridge and started climbing downwards, finally getting the boy in his sights as he slowly crept around the stone bridge, watching him point his arm at the stone bridge. Jace wasn't sure what exactly he was doing, but in the end it didn't matter. He'd attempt to make his approach, blitzkreiging towards the boy. You're too late! And Jace was right, but not the way he thought. Just as he started running towards him, a giant vortex came from his hand and the bridge he was currently on bent and buckled, before collapsing entirely with him on its side. Unlike everyone else topside, this meant he wasn't landing on rubble, instead having rubble land on him! He'd managed to avoid having the wooden bridge collapse on him, only to become victim to the stone one. He'd fall alongside the crumbling bridge, being buffeted by stone pieces as he fell with them, getting partially buried in dust and stone. Thankfully he was still conscious, but it wasn't a fun experience, groaning as he pushed himself up and the dust and stone layer above him rolled off him. He'd look up to find Jisa and Tetsuko alongside him, both having had a much better landing than he had. Though it seemed Holmes was looking to change that, pointing his palm now at Jisa. Jace was still recovering from having a bridge collapse ON him, and could only watch unable to react in time. And he'd further wince when to his surprise, a voice started yelling uncomfortably loudly, calling out to Holmes. It sounded like tar girl, Jace not having noticed the speech bubble created by Farrah. But he would see Tetsuko take advantage of the situation, rushing towards Holmes while telling him and Jisa to go towards the end. Wheras Jisa would go right away, Jace would slowly stand looking at Holmes for a moment. Jace, for all his love of sports, wasn't a particularly competitive person. Losing was just a part of life, getting upset over it was just silly in the big picture of things. But, watching as Tetsuko attacked the blonde boy who'd tried to get the drop on him, tried to make things a 1v1, was surprisingly...unpleasant. Jace wanted to fight this boy, which was a surprise to him, especially since he was pretty sure he was weaker than him. He'd look at Holmes for a second, his face and eyes unnervingly blank and unreadable. Next time...I won't run away... He'd say it to the blonde, vortex boy, very calmly for his usual disposition, before turning back and running towards Jisa, turning into the bunny boys new escort for what might lie ahead.

STORYTELLER Soulfire, being able to witness every single move happening below her and her cozy little steel tower, had been silent on the most part, letting the participants practically going all out. Usually she'd expect a foul play or two, but it seems like third years has mellowed and matured plenty to do things by the book. She almost shed a proud tear and held in her sobby mouth. Collecting her compsure back she brought her megaphone back to her mouth to quickly announce. ''Keep this in mind young heroes! To save someone it's not always to take someone else down, but to endure for them! Pain is temporary, your contribution will never be in vain!''
Her speech reached to everyone on the bridges, and it ESPECIALLY boosted Arthur's determination, such words is what he lived by, for his role in this was never for himself, but to clear a path for his partners. Arthur And Lucas both intended to charge forward without a stop, Julia stood on the sideline with a devious plan in mind, and Gregory covered the back. That said, the jock with a rather unusual fleshy backpack stood in the way for Lucas by grabbing his tail! Lucas just got into the motion to begin sprinting but got halted by Kirk, did this burly young man just power grab a freaking T-Rex on the spot? Lucas blinked his eyes and looked back, frowning, including Arthur stopping his charge to see the hinderance. With the two of them staring at Kirk it allowed Farrah to go away all silent after she got dropped off by the jock.
''HEY HEEEEY! That's MYYYYYY tail you're grabbing!''
''LUCAS! Don't let him get to you! Gregory! Take care of him!''
Kirk even began to bash at the tail with the metal bat, causing Lucas to quickly roar out in annoyance, practically stealing his attention and trying to slap Kirk away with the girthy tail of his. Gregory however noticed the person resting within that backpack, she poked out to blow those bubbles out, the perfect target. Kirk's words dug under Lucas' scaly skin, the dino boy had his band clearly wrapped around one of his tiny arms, but those arms was at a constant protection of his giant t-rex head, as for Arthur, he simple had his band slyly placed on his left knee, blending in with the attire of his knight armor. To stop Kirk from taking advantage of that Gregory straight up stops Kirk on his tracks.
''Hey hey now! You really shoulder consider your decisions big boy! You got your back wide open!'' Gregory thrusted his hands forward and blasted out hurling blue flames at Kirk's back, bitter freezing sharp pain coating his backside, even a tiny bit at Lucas' tail, which indefinitely made the dinosaur to stomp about, so much was going on that his dinosaur brain weren't able to keep it all up. Arthur gritted his teeth, but this was no damn time for shouting, for Meara was taking aim again, sending a barrage of blasts. Arthur knowing his purpose full and through dashed infront of the occupied Lucas and unsheathed his second bone blade.
''I WILL -NOT- ALLOW YOU TO DO AS YOU WISH!''
With an uneccessarily loud yell of determination, Arthur absorbed each and every single shot dished out by Meara, using his blades in a crossed posture, breaking each shot with his blades, so swift and so precise, this knight completely stopping Meara to hit the large legs of the dinosaur. He did however absorb so much of the shots that he got a decent amount of damage to his upperbody, making him grunt under his breath. All the while Arthur did his best to stop Meara, Julia was in motion. While everyone was pretty much occupied she took the opportunity to grab one of the sides of the bridge, using her spring arm to extend herself down and swing underneath the stone bridge as if her hand was a rope, ending up swinging back up on the other side far ahead. With a precise momentum and position she got a clear shot of Meara's left side, sending a powerful forward punch, hitting Meara's shoulder with enough force to knock anyone off balance. Julia might be a rather small girl, but those spring fists of hers packed something devastating.
''KAAAA-POWAH!''
Things got now heated on both stone and copper bridge, but things were about to get way more hectic at the copper bridge when Farrah's bubbles reached down. Holmes was infact about to snipe the fuzzball with a thin vortex beam from his palm, intending to push back the rabbit.
''I'M FALLING!''
''HELP ME HOLMES!''
''I'LL GIVE YOU A KISS!''
''Wuh- HEY! I-I DIDN'T SAY TH-OOPS!''
However, being caught off guard by the bubbles it left Holmes more confused than surprised, why on earth would Melissa be here when she was supposed to be the defense line? As for Farrah, the devious creator of those bubbles, was met with a rather unexpected fourth comment? Infact, everyone heard the shriek of denial from below. But where? No one knew, and Holmes had to pay the price for overthinking about that. It only took one second difference for him to be forced get one hundred percent defense mode, seeing the Shinobu student dashing forward with an amazing speed only meant Holmes had to focus on her. He saw the blade being drawn, while his footing and speed was extremely slow, his reaction timing was astounding. With simple swift motion he brought his forearms up tight against his neck, using them as an improvised shield against the liquid motioned strike, each blunt hit caused him to huff annoyed, while he was clearly in pain his expression was still very much emotionless.
''Ngh- So you're the powerhouse of the team?''
Asking nonchalantly Holmes could only take the hits, forcing him to bend his knees to bite through the pain. He noticed both Jace and Jisa walk past him, a very aggravating position to be in. He stood there, incredibly sturdied up despite the immense damage Tetsuko has poured out.
''As you can see, I am not intending to fall, nor am I intending to fight you, you are outclassing me in speed and body strength, there is no way I can win against you, unless..''
With a minor monolouge, Holmes decided to become probably the most annoying kind of obstacle for anyone to tackle. Taking his arms down, shifting his torso to look to the right, one palm forward and one behind.
''Unstoppable Current..''
Announcing his move he created a vortex on both ends of him, one sucking, and one blowing, his body acting like a literaly current where the wind gets shoved with a force so great that it makes the copper bride shake from the turbulence. Tetsuko who was right infront of the blowing end, was met with the kind of power that blew anything loose on her off from her, even her band who was supposedly tugged nicely, the flew right off and knocking her entire body. If she didn't use some kind of method to withstand a wind force like that she'd get literally blown away from Holmes, how far? Depends on how light she is. As for both Jace and Jisa who had just passed Holmes, felt the suction behind them, a vortex stopping them both to progress, they both were stuck in place running, the only reason their bands are not torn off is because they got some distance unlike Tetsuko.

Post by Meara O'Connor on Apr 29, 2020 3:30:31 GMT -4
Meara peaked back over the edge of the debri she was taking cover behind. And to her slight dismay, it appeared that the knight looking guy took all of the blasts she fired. “Valiant, chivalrous, and really freaking annoying.” Meara muttered under her breath. Hopping back up to her feet and took aim at the wannabe knight that was protecting Lucas. “That’s mighty nice of ya to take those shots fer ya team Sir Pain in my Arse. But let’s see how many more you can take!” She shouted out as she prepared to fire. As the first energy blast was about to leave her cannon she was blindsided by a solid punch that connected with her left shoulder. The blow solid cracked her armor and knocked her down to a knee momentarily. “The fuck!” was her only response as she looked over at her assailant. Meara got back to a vertical stance and turned her attention to the springy bitch that just suckered punched her. Shooting her a death glare that would even register through her visor. “You made three mistakes, lass.” Meara spat out at her new target. “One you thought it was a good idea to sucker punch me. Two you didn’t hit me all that hard. And three, you should’ve gone for the head!” She yelled. Meara then quickly fired off four quick shots at the lass, hoping that they were close enough to not be able to dodge them.
As she fired at Julia Meara turned and called over to Farrah. “Oi Farrah! I think it’s time fer ya to get loud now!” Meara called out. She knew that her teammate was hesitant to possibly damage their opponents eardrums permanently. But at the same time Farrah needed to understand that they were outnumbered and outgunned at the moment and she needed to help out in any way she could. And preventing the opposing team from potentially hearing each other for a bit would be hugely beneficial. After Meara finished yelling out her request she turned back to Arthur and Lucas. Concentrating for a few seconds Meara created another cannon on her left arm and used her left one to fire at Julia again. She hoped that her diminished aim with her off hand would be offset by the close proximity of her target. And with her main arm she would fire again at Lucas, knowing that Arthur would be there to take the blows for him. She also hoped that Kirk would use the slight distraction to get in a shot on one of the two. And if they were lucky, knock one of them out so that they could start to even the odds out. “I hope shite’s going easier fer them down below…” she thought as she continued to fire at her multiple targets, trying to ignore the growing burning sensation in her arms.
