By the time Yumi had her own vision back, her own goggles only doing so much to shield her from the flash, she was back on her feet but with a supposed attack forming around her. She dove for the middle of the room, watching as walls of sand seemed to be forming around her... didn't really do her much good. A strong enough blast could probably punch through it but if the user of the quirk was on their toes they could probably fill the gap quickly enough and continue to clamp her in while she was wasting energy. She was in prime position for some sabotage here she just needed to get out of this jam...
And... well. She only knew one strong way to get rid of danger on all sides.
As the walls slowly closed in she rested a finger to the side of her goggles, activating the in-built headset to communicate with the others. "Hey er..." She was careful to keep her voice low but clear. "Anyone on the Canadian train with me? Might wanna grit your teeth. Ya got 3 seconds..."
Honestly she was being a bit generous with them there, The walls were starting to press on her by 2, but she needed to make sure they had time to manuver as best they could since... well, any of her school mates should know what was coming by now. With the sound latching around her sides and adding pressure from every direction. Nothing Yumi couldn't bare with for an extra second... maybe two.
Aaaand now this is where the moistened air in the train was gonna work to her advantage.
"Sorry Sand boy."
Tensing all of her muscles, Yumi pushed past the usual limits put on her quirk output by her suit to help her control it. Electrical strands pulsed from her briefly as the suit tried to hold it back before finally bursting off in all directions. This was something Yumi never had any control on her output for, and so it pushed out to it's maximum range, easily engulfing the whole train from the engine room to the passanger car. She... really hoped her team had adequate warning to maybe try and hide behind something. Her electrical stream wasn't all encompassing afterall, but thick strands of electrical energy briefly ran through the entire train, and the entire place was gonna be charged with static for a good while.
Of course, on her own level, Yumi's opponent was probably suffering the brunt of the burst, her hair fell around her, returned to its normal red shade as the electrical energy left her body, and the sand burst away from her body. Without her quirk there wasn't much else she could do... buuuut, with a good set of hands still to use, Yumi rushed forward the moment she landed on her feet, rushing to the controls of the train and wrapping her digits around the big red handle that signalled for the brake. She wouldn't be able to hold it for long, but it'd definitely help them get a one up on the Canadians by literally hitting their breaks

Dude, seriously, I figured the headaches would give you a hint at this point, you need to just not think of that kinda stuff, alright? Its bad for your health, really. The voice in the back of Reds heads would try and tell him. The guy was getting really annoying with this headache crap, it kept happening seemingly at random. Sure, he might have idly thought about his best friend who was currently in a hospital bed on life support due to some things that totally wasnt Red fault but its not like that was causing the headaches......or the fact his sister was in a similar situation....or his parents were de----i mean what? Everything was fine, completely finnnne. All he had to do was kick Mia in the head and everything would be fin---
"SHIT." Red exclaimed, as he realised too late that he was a very easy target right now. All he was doing was using his body as an airbrake to get closer to her, which made his trajectory very obvious to anyone who wanted to, for example, shoot flaming projectiles at his face. Which was the exact situation Red found himself in, with Black flames quickly closing in on his position. He couldnt even adjust his course, cause if he did he might hit Mia in a way that ended up sending her in a different direction than he intended.....Shit.
All he could do was twist his body to avoid the brunt of it. He'd still hit Mia, pretty cleanly infact, but instead of preventing her from running and sending her flying back into their train, It;d act more like a springboard, giving her enough momentum to make the crossing.....barely enough, since her team mate had to grab her by the leg. As for Red? He managed to dodge the fire, but......his aura worked against him for a second, drawing the smoke in around him. And the heat he barely dodged still singed, so despite his best efforts, he opened his mouth to breath.....boy was that a mistake.
He instantly felt sick. This was worse than the usual smoke he had to deal with when things exploded, this was the kind from a raging inferno. HE might have been able to swallow it and not be as affected by it, but....he was currently flying through the air. Gravity was not giving his stomach a break right now, and Red hated it. Neither could lover boy on the other team, the guy who caused this. Guy was shouting a bunch a shit at him, not that Red cared that much. All he did in response was flip him off as he fell towards his own train. Luckily though, while trying not to throw up, he spiraled into the hole Riley had made, following Tsuji downstairs.....though he had a little bit of a less graceful landing.
"Gah...ha......God oxygen is nice." Red would mumble to himself, taking a second to just breathe in air that wasnt more polluted than Stoke in WW2. Bloody bottle kilns savin em from the blitz....anyway, disregarding history for a second, he'd slowly sit up, havin almost fallen out the back, and tried to assess himself. He needed to know how bad this was, if he was out of commision or not.
He was still fine, physically. Sure, he felt like he wanted to pop his head out of a window and let everyone know what he had for breakfast this morning, but he could still fight. The rocking of the train car and the general speed werent doing him any favours, but he felt like he could still walk.....even if it was starting to warm up a bit. He wondered what everyone on the other train was doing but.....Then he heard Yumi on the radio.
"......Feng, Do me a favour. Once Yumi's done exploding, get to the engine room, She's about to be quirkless." Red would cough out, still getting some of the smoke out of his system. He pop his head out the window at the same time, hoping that the moist air would help flush the crap out his lungs a bit, but he wasnt sure how much that would work..........Hey wait, wouldnt it be a good idea to use his board to try and.....help Yumi? Spray their train with water, make it even more conductive.....Yeah, that'd be a good idea....He might throw up, but it'd be worth it......Wait, could he even use his quirk right now with the nausea?
Taking a second to generate with his quirk......Red would immeditaly feel how fast they were going. They were going MUCH too fast for his quirk, he was generating too much wind. He had to get rid of it, fast. He could still use it, thankfully, but this meant that he'd have to be careful with whatever he did......atleasy, if he stuck his head out the window again. If he held onto it for too long......boy he didnt wanna think about what could happen to his arm.
Either way, He'd fire a massive, full power blast of wind at the waterfall, in the direction of wherever Yumi was exploding. If he was right, it was Earth manipulation boy probably causing her to do that......maybe Red'd get lucky and the water spray would wash some of it away. Make him easier to deal with. That was pretty much all he could do right now, Until he got his board, atleast.
He took a risk, testing to see if he could run......Which he could, it turned out. Stomach didnt like it but he could still manage. All he had to do was get Yojin to open the lock, grab his board, tie himself to the train and his plan would work great. There was just one....very, very small problem that would prevent him from doing this. Riley was in the fucking way trying to rip the bloody door off.
Red moved into action. He could tell Tsuji was about to do something which....was quickly confirmed by his attempt to suplex her, but Red wasnt about to risk him fuckin up and lettin Riley fuck with their engine. If Tsuji managed to grab her, then Red would fire another wind blast her way, the suplex doubling as a human shield for Tsuji. He'd do the same if it didnt work and Tsuji was knocked aside.
Either way, He'd follow it up by grabbing a couple hilts and generating knives using them, goin in to stab her and get inbetween her and the door. The edges werent too sharp, of course, but they'd still pack a hefty punch. He just needed to make sure that Yojin could open the door if he needed too, or that she didnt rip it off......God it felt hot around here, how hard was Yojin pushing this thing?......He might need to go in there and help make sure it doesnt explode at some point, too. "Yojin, hows the engine doing right now?" He'd ask over the comms, hoping he had the situation under control in there.

Feng bit her lip as she attempted to kick Magnet boy but she was in for a nasty surprise as he used his blades to cut her across her chest. ‘Shi-’, her current suit now has a hole in it now and the breeze ain't getting better. She had no time to react as she was fixated on landing her strike that she didn't realize he was ready for her. Gritting her teeth to deal with the pain as he dodged her attack. The pain was temporary as she put two fingers on her wound for a moment to check if it was serious. Her eyes glanced up at the boy with a serious tone as she licked the blood off akin to a famous practitioner of Jeet Kune Do. No words, No malice, just a burning soul as her eyes glowed even brighter.
“Really? You pick now to make a reference, Feng?”, Fei remarked in her mind as Feng stared down the ever stacking odds of a possible fight against multiple targets. As much as she wants to take them on, she doesn't have endless energy and they were tougher than she thought. The one she kicked to the back may still be on the train and she can't assume everything is going to plan on everyone else's end. ‘They had more coordination than I thought…’ Feng thought as her eyes scanned the opponents ahead of her. Yumi soon yelled out which Feng heard but she has her hands full at the moment.
However things got more complicated as her radio went off, it was Red and he was asking a favor from her. She put her hand to her ear, “A bit busy here...I can’t exactly afford to do that at the moment but I’ll try…may need some backup if anyone can offer it”. A part of her was fiercely annoyed that he was being asked to help the strongest member of her team for her own decisions, but she can't argue or say any of these thoughts as it was first a TEAM battle. However it does throw a wrench on her side of things as she was trying to do multiple things at once.
Things can be summarized as getting hairy as she was dealing with the two defenders of the train who were armed and skilled and she has little to no info on the others as they were preoccupied. Does she bolt it for Yumi and get off the train to safety? No, too risky and it puts a target on her back if she does that.Does she stand her ground and try to take them on? That’d be crazy in all intents and purposes as they have the numbers advantage over her and sheer power.Hostage Situation? Too risky and she would’ve lost any leverage considering the situation with her teammate right now. Her mind was a blur with various ideas as she slowly started to panic from the sheer pressure of the situation.
“...you’re not seriously considering….”, Fei asked in her head as Feng started to finalize her plan as she slowly got ready.”Ain't no choice, Fei. It's either this or we sit here and get our asses beaten to a pulp”, she replied as she got ready.
But suddenly a new one joined the battle and was running at her, visible by the soot that covered her. Was she the invisible girl that the others were dealing with? Well trouble was brewing as they soon came under a waterfall and it washed off the thing that defined her figure. Which is REALLY bad in hindsight as she was now has an additional person to fight. But it came to her own advantage as she was freshly washed and wet from the waterfall. As she attempted to grapple her and throw her off, only to met with a slippery Red-haired girl who got out of her grasp. She grabbed a hold of her forearm and swiftly kicked her back where she came. “IF YOU WANT TO THROW ME OFF, THEN DO IT WHEN I'M NOT LOOKING”, she taunted back as she took her fighting stance.
Her steps got faster as her eyes took aim at the Magnet Boy. He is going to be a massive issue if he stays unscathed. But she had a trick up her sleeve as she started to stand on her hands; she rushed the boy with kicks that resembled break dancing. Aiming to trip him up and confuse him before she would finish off the combo with her foot planted on his chest and releasing her energy to stretch the spring leg to kick him harder and into the air.
She ended the combo off as she got back into her normal stance. She quickly turned and ran towards Yumi’s location Ala the engine car. But she needed a plan as soon as she got to the door; which she couldn't think off as she promptly kicked the door in and went to rush the other member in her line of sight if he wasn't knocked out already. But her main deal is to secure her teammate and get her out but she was prepared if any surprises were going to come her way.
However this situation is getting quite complicated as she has confirmed that there are four members on the train and she is the only one who can viably take them on due to her teammates burst of energy and overall disabling of the train. 'So its a three on one or four on one for the meantime and gotta protect the high grade hero here who is now out of juice for the meantime....yeah this is a bad situation to be in right now..", she said as she kicked the boy out the door and she barricaded the door with her body in an attempt to delay them.
"So...can I just say this is a really bad situation we have here or can I bitch about this once we get back on our own train?", she said to Yumi if she was awake.

自由自在 you've unlocked a killstreak bonus!
Yojin’s heart leapt into his throat when he heard the howl of an angry...girl (it sounded like the Oni?) at the door. He’d been in his share of fights, and he had his pistol, but angry hero students--especially angry hero girls--were never good news.
He took a deep breath, looking at his gear kit again, and then, with the air of someone about to engage in a deeply unpleasant task, picked up his rocket wrench, pulling out his phone in his free hand to access the camera on his roomba (still tucked in the passenger car), and see if he could peek at his new guest.
Urgh. Close-Quarters. Jacked green meanie. What’s not to like?
And, to top it off, he probably needed to simmer down the engine.
Well, if it gets hot enough, Shrekette won’t be a problem, now?
If only because he was cooking alive.
Before he could really start worrying, he saw one of the more reassuring things he could have seen at the moment--a shaggy, giant shape pad up behind Riley, and drop some quality wrasslin’ right on her back. Yojin felt instantly comforted.
There’s really nothing like having a big fuzzy lug to watch your back, huh?
“Sneaky, Tsuji.” Yojin commented idly. Man, was he glad he’d brought his mecha into their fight. He turned back to the engine, and started to lower the heat, content that the problem was solved.
Unfortunately, knock one problem down, and another pops right up. Before he could get too far with his work, lightning exploded on the enemy train, followed by aid request from Yumi, Red dashing to join the melee against Mia, and finally, a second aid request from Feng, who had just gone to help Yumi.
Yojin felt like he probably needed to do something.
In theory, Momoko was probably in a pretty good place to help Feng and Yumi. In practice...well, she could have been caught up in her sabotage, and from the sound of it, Yumi was dry, and Feng was outnumbered. Oh, and Red looked like he wanted something in the engine room.
Probably his skateboard, unless he was about to try to steal my tools.
Yojin sighed, quickly thinking through his options. He was safer with the door locked, but Red and Tsuji probably had that under control. Meanwhile, Feng was in actual danger--if she got overwhelmed, they’d suddenly be down two team members.
He peered out the window. He didn’t have a clear shot on any of Team Canada--hell, he couldn’t even see ‘em, so “ranged support” was out of the question. There had to be something, though--
Yojin looked down at his gear pile, and groaned. He’d overprepared, and still didn’t have everything he needed.
He was still a support student, and a damn good one, though. And sloppy plans were better than no plans.
Yojin pressed his hand against the door, idly unlocking it, and kicking Red’s hoverboard in that general direction, other hand already messing with his tazer.
“Hand out the engine window, FengYumi--care package and weapon coming in.” He muttered into his microphone.
Yojin carefully aimed down the barrel of the taser at the window of the enemy car. Usually, it launched prongs barely enough enough to pierce the skin--the real damage was from the shock. He needed more right now, though. He pushed his quirk into the weapon, overclocking it, fueling it with energy from his own body, and fired.
Metal prongs arced across the (relatively short) distance between the two trains, embedding themselves in the metal exterior of the canadian train. They probably couldn’t support a human, but…it might be enough. He snapped off the wires, tying them to a handle on the inside of the car, leaving enough slack it wouldn't snap.
Next up, the package. spray paint (for the invisible girl), the portable defense shield, and last, his shock pistol.
Yumi better be thankful.
Duct tape them to the outside of his fire extinguisher, and then tape the extinguisher to the wires.
Finally, propulsion. He pulled the makeshift zipline tight, broke the nozzle of the fire extinguisher with a precise flick of his quirk.
It went rocketing across to the other engine, spraying Yojin with white foam as a parting gift.
Now it was just him, an unlocked door, an overheating engine, and his wrench.
That better help.

Post by Mozuku Momoko on May 20, 2020 1:21:59 GMT -4
The insides of the passenger car were promptly set on fire as Momoko did her best to avoid the counter-attack. Her trajectory changed upwards, albeit in an erratic manner as to still avoid the worst of it, as soon as she managed to react to the wave that had been send her way. There was another lamp deeper down the passenger car that served as another foothold as the mistakes started to pile on. The first one was the smoke, which Momoko didn't realize until she had already breathed some in through her mask. Despite of her modifications on it, it didn't have proper filters. She was hit by an incredibly strong wave of nausea, and the fiery passenger car started to become increasingly unsteady before her eyes. Even after such a brief exposure she felt like throwing up, and felt like Momoko quickly started to regret her plan to wait the waterfall out. She was near the ceiling, away from any proper exits, and trying to get out through the window wasn't an option; there was no guarantee that she didn't just fall out of the train if she tried that in her current state. But staying meant staying in the smoke, and being cornered further by the casanova wannabe. "Thinkthinkthink...."Yumi's voice woke Momoko up from trying to solve her dilemma herself. Grit your teeth. 3 seconds. "..."That was an incredibly vague warning, but Momoko had to assume that it was another magnetism trick, making her cling tighter into the lamp. Not like she had an option in the matter. She was sorely mistaken. Instead what happened was an immense wave of electricity that pierced through the train. The small girl was caught in it fair and square, the minor insulation in her suit did very little to stop that. Her grip on the lamp slipped and she started to fall back at the floor. "...are you insane?"Grit your teeth, right. Tasukai had better had a very good reason for pulling a stunt like that... although brute force seemed to be the be-all end-all problem solving method of the hero class students. Momoko landed on her back, but there wasn't much of an impact from this height; benefits of a minuscule body weight. The fall itself had made her feel worse than before, but she managed to remain functional for now, albeit barely. She immediately inspected the launcher on her arm before she even got up, and sure enough, the fine circuitry was fried. The main mechanisms were mechanical, but she'd have to make do without automation or reeling for now. The small girl got back on her unsteady feet with a bit of a struggle. She'd have to act fast: the casanova had been hit without a warning, so this was a chance that she'd have to act on now. She'd manually open the valves on the bracelets on her legs and begun to charge at the casanova across the fiery passenger car in a straight line. Momoko would try to run right under his legs. As she'd do so, she'd use both her hands to manually fire one of her grappling needles around one of casanova's legs. She'd pull as soon as she was past him to try and throw him off-balance but didn't stop her run. Or rather, couldn't. With her bracelets purely on manual they wouldn't stop without taking some time to adjust them again. She ran until she reached the gap between the passenger car and the coal cart, and ran right off of it. She threw some of the still unreeling wire over the coupling and grabbed it as her momentum still kept going. Momoko's body hit the end of the coal cart and the bracelets kept her against it for a moment until they ran out of juice, and quieted down. As she hang there, Momoko did her best to get a breath of fresh air, not puke, not let go of the wire, hope that the casanova wasn't too quick on the uptake, and think. She couldn't keep moving around in this state. "What do I even do now?"

As the waterfall still raged just outside the entrance to the engine room, the train was indeed surrounded by moisture. On top of that, There was a big Splash of water, which although it didn't reach the inside of the room, did make the train even more covered in water. Carter meanwhile was trying his best to stop Yumi from doing what she was trying to do. Feng throwing Mia back down the side surprised her proper, as she screamed, and latched onto the side of the train car. "...Okay, I guess one of us is more ready to hurt people, that's cool!" She was getting completely soaked... This just couldn't get much worse, could it?
Aiden couldn't escape being damaged either. The blades he had spun around himself, parrying the swirl of kicks coming his way, but the spring loaded kick was just too much for him to handle, as he was launched into the air. "UGH!" Using that, Feng easily made it past him, as he caught himself with his blades and lowered himself back to the ground, clasping his chest... "Owowow..." Aiden wasn't exactly the sturdies fellow. reason why he usually relied on dodging or other people to give him something stronger to work with. Speaking of that, Aria herself seemed to be done. She sank her hand into her mouth, pulling out a long pole, with a humongous blade at its end. It was a huge spear. "This should help...!" She spun it around, to get the feel of it, before preparing to charge after Feng... As the situation changed, the waterfalls edge was just in front of them...
But then there was a huge flash of electricity. Carter got blasted by a mix of sand and a shockwave, as his humongous body slammed against the wall of the engine car. At this point he was hurt enough from all the attacks towards him, that he couldn't fight back anymore. He collapsed against the wall, looking awfully disappointed in himself. The rest of the electricity spread through the metallic seams of the train. In the middle of his flaming, Grayson would feel a sudden shock go through him, and aiden as well, as his attention had been taken by something else. However, Mia had barely seen the situation unfold, and had leapt for it... Brief shock had hit her, but she was able to barely grapple herself onto the other train. And Aria... Well, she stabbed the roof of the building with her spear, and launch herself into the air, avoiding the blast altogether. Although once she landed, she proceeded to land near Aiden and pressed him against the roof... "Prepare for the drop!"
The trains almost bent downwards, as the weight of them lifted the speed of the trains even higher. With that, U.A:s train, which was already chugging at full power, had the opportunity to speed further and further away. Inside the passenger car, graysons hair had pretty much exploded into an afro as he coughed, and stood up. "Okay, that dang dynamite of a girl is on this train, huh? Aiden could have really told me about..." However, soon he fell on his face again, as his 'thumbelina' proceeded to run off, pretty much ignoring him, aside from a tidy rope tied to his foot. handled quickly afterwards with a gasp of fire. "You know, sometimes I wonder if being a gentleman is even worth it." He said as he was surrounded by burning furniture. "Nah, everythings fine!"
Meanwhile, on top of it, Aiden was recoving from the shock. "Okay, Carters probably downed, and it's just one corner left, until the goal! We gotta pick up speed and catch up to them!" The screech of the breaks being pulled and the axle at the back showed the dire situation. However, Aiden was surprisingly calm, as he was thinking... "How steep was the corner? Like, how much would you need to turn?" "Uh... like 90 degrees? What does that matter." Aiden grinned. "Well... if they continue at that pace..."
"We would only need the keep the train going, and they'll take themselves out of the competition." Indeed. At the end of this very steep hill, waited a very sharp turn. If the trains would go at too high speed towards, it the train itself would either tip on its side, or outright rush forward into the empty plains ahead. With just one of the trains left in the competition... it would mean an automatic victory for the canadian team. Or that was atleast Aidens thought process. "Well, I have never been one to not trust you so... What's the plan chief!?" Aiden pressed the button to contact everyone in the team still standing...
"FINAL COMMAND! KEEP THE TRAIN GOING, AND DON'T STOP TRYING TO KEEP IT MOVING!"
Grayson stepped to the call. "YES AIDEN!" He climbed out of his car, gripping onto the side of the train, as he climbed on top of the passenger car, to get a decent vantage point to aim from. "Sorry mademoiselles... and Carter." Once again, he breathed out flames, but this time the streak was way thinner than usual. The flames flew into the engine room, and directly to the engine, the smoke combined with the extra heat giving them more speed to work with, as well as filling the engine room with smoke... At the same time, Aiden sent out his daggers, protecting Gray from anything coming his way, and making sure the flames wouldn't be impeded. And then Aria... well, the spear came in handy. She could thrust the spear through the door to both push the lever for the breaks, and keep fighting. Fighting these people directly would be very risky when they were all together... However, they didn't notice the help package sent their targets way...
On U.A:s train, the speed had pretty much passed 200 km/h. And it almost felt like it was getting even faster. The train itself was like an oven, with how high the heat had risen... Yet for now Riley was still continuing her rampaging against the door, before she got grabbed from behind. "...BEAR! I SHOULD KNOWN!" The frustration in her eyes was pretty clear. This was followed by a blast of wind in her face, which just made her angrier! The windy stabs didn't help either! "STOP IT ALREADY!" She gripped Tsuji by his fur, And hurled him at Red! Since he was between the door and her, this giant hairy cannonball slammed against the door, and broke the lock! The door slammed open. And Riley huffed and puffed in anger and frustration... "You STUPID... MUTTS!" Riley rushed in, but as she was about to pull the breaks, she could hear a shout behind her...
"Stop! Didn't you hear Aiden!?" "Huh?" She pressed a thing on her ear... guess she had plugged it wrong. "Just, keep them busy! No need to touch anything!" With that, Mia turned invisible again... She wasn't probably going to be a problem, with her still recovering from the shock. And Riley shrugged. "Well, plan be to beat you up anyway! So, here we go! BEAT NERD FIRST!" and with that, she charged towards Yojin, with her fist aimed for his gut! Admittedly, with all these repeated attacks on her person, she was probably close to defeat... However, Aidens final plan was soon coming to fruition... How would they stop it!?

Despite his best efforts, it appeared as though a large bear might not be the most stealthy – when Tsuji tried to grab Riley for a suplex, she caught on very quickly, and when he attempted the lift up, she instead wrapped her hands around his fur, and sent him careening towards Red. He had sent a blast of wind to help the effort, but it seemed pretty ineffective in the short term. Tsuji managed to shift around a bit to make sure he wouldn't hurt Red by much, but the major issue was that Riley's throw had slammed him into the door to Yojin, which was a pretty big problem, especially at this point in the race. However, as she stepped over into the room, and was about to pull the brake, she stopped, and announced an attack towards the mech-toting robotics expert. Just before she could, however, it was time to a second attempt. With the speed the train was going, if they lost weight it could possibly help, and with the Canada team messing with their train so much, it would be a welcome opportunity to stop it, once and for all. So, with this idea in place, Tsuji tossed away his conductor's hat, and cracked his knuckles. Quickly moving over to Riley, he attempted a similar effort to his last attack, but this time, he would change things around, trying to toss her away from Yojin, sending her flying back out of the main carriage. The bear would then follow up with a series of blows, ending with a fierce kick, trying to push her back out into the first passenger carriage. Even if that wasn't successful, the real part of his plan was to lay in to the connectors between the two carts, and break them away so theoretically, Riley wouldn't be able to get across, and they would leave her in the dust to conduct how to get ahead in the short span of time they did. If she remained on, then they could deal with her easily. Unhooking the two carts would take more time and precision, and seeing as they were rocking their way down a hill at breakneck speed, it probably wasn't the best time for such fiddling around and being particular. After breaking the carts apart, Tsuji would be down for any plan, as the train was going so fast that reasonably, they may not be able to remain on the tracks – unless they could get fixed so they could keep going. He was ready to play his part in the team for this final stretch of track.

With the brakes pulled and the opposing train starting to slow down with her in it, Yumi was starting to realize, at these speeds, she might genuinely be stuck with the enemy train for the rest of the race. Heck she wasn't even sure if they were close to the finish line but even if she got back her quirk, she wouldn't be able to gain enough speed to keep up with, let alone switch to the UA train... welp. Best make herself useful here and keep them from fucking with the controls.
She looked out to the side entrance of the engine room, a metalic ping catching her attention and rushing over as she spotted a thin wire briefly connecting the two trains, scoffing in disbelief at Yojin's ingenuity in handing her some equipment, pulling it from wire before it likely snapped as the two trains got further and further apart, sliding the riot shield across her left arm and looking to the spray-can and tazer... heh. Kinda ironic she still had the option to zap things...
Of course she didn't get much time to relax at all when on the enemy train, looking back to the path to the passanger car and making sure her fellow UA students made it to the engine room before pushing back against the door with the riot shield. She wasn't strong without her quirk but she could at least hold them back for a moment. "Welp, looks like we're in the final leg of the race if I'm hearing them right! We just gotta..."
And then she heard the part of their own plan that'd leave them screwed, keeping pressure up with the borrowed shield and her contacting the others.
"Guys we got a problem! Apparently they got a good look at the tracks! The speed we're going they think we're gonna derail! You guys better do something quick! I'll hold them off here to make sure they don't speed up if we need to pull the brakes!"
With that Yumi had to think of her options. She was quirkless, sure, but while she didn't have Red or Yojin levels of ingenuity she liked to think she was at least pretty smart. She looked to the options she'd clipped to her belt, a tazer and a spray can.... oh. Oh this... Red would love this. Shame he wasn't gonna see it!
Baring against the force of the flames with her shield raised against it, they seemed to curl about her and add fuel to the train regardless, and with the slam of a speer against the shield she was left feeling the brunt of most of their attacks pulsing through her arms. The tazer gun was desighed to fire electrified prongs basically, buuuut if there was one thing Yumi could work with it was electrical equipment. Careful to keep her shield arm forward, feeling continuous slams of the speer, she cracked the front end of the gun off, leaving the live wires exposed, sparking when she pulled the trigger. Holding it in her shield arm, the zapping sparks showed just at the edge of the shield. With her free hand... she readied the spray can.
"So you guys like fire huh!?~"
Yumi, shield still raised, effectively made an impromptu flamethrower. Not very effective against those with quirks, but all she needed to do was hold 'em off! She called back to Feng, yelling almost. "FENG! They need all the help they can get if they're gonna hold off the de-rail! You best get moving over there while you can still make the jump okay!?

For a split second, Red felt pretty good about the situation he was in. Riley was getting suplexed, Yojin was sending supplies over to Yumi and Feng, Feng had managed to get to Yumi to help her out, and he was feeling a little better. Sure, he still felt like one wrong move and his guts would fly free from his stomach, but atleast he didnt feel like that ALL the time now. Maybe the water and fresh air had flushed his lungs a little bit. Now all they needed to do was take care of Riley and everything would be fin---- Hey look, Tsujis coming at you. The voice would comment, rather matter of factly.
"Wait wha--" Red would ask himself, quickly seeing the oncoming danger of an airborne bear about to slam into his face. Ducking to the side, he barely managed to dodge the majority of the impact, but Tsuji still managed to slightly catch him with a paw, adding to Reds momentum and accidentally sending him flying into the side of the coal cart wall. Instantly, Red felt his stomach churn, falling to the ground for a few seconds while he struggled to breathe.
Luckily, Yojin had a right mind to wake him the fuck up, and tossing the hoverboard to him managed to cause a brain reset, Red managing to stand back up shakily, trying to get rid of the horrible feeling in his head. However, the world wouldnt just stop because he was trying to make sure he didnt get knocked out. During all of this, Tsuji had attempted to throw Riley out of the engine room and into the passanger car and disconnect it, it looked like. Red would throw a windblast Rileys way while she was airborne, but she honestly looked like she was close to done anyway....they had piled a ton of punishment on her this entire time, after all.
Then, the situation got worse. According to Yumi, the enemy train was under the impression that UA was going to derail and they'd just win. Which....would explain why Riley decided to just punch Yojin instead of going for the brakes.....but then again, she did seem like she was a bit of a meat head, so......Red'd poke his head out of the window, to go get some fresh air and check if Aiden wasnt talking out of his arse....He assumed it was Aiden who'd figured that out......and he was quickly met with the truth of it.
There was a fuckin 90 degree turn coming up. Red hadnt noticed the downhill slope they were on, due to getting knocked into a wall at the time, but he realised how bad this made things. Yojin had boosted the train to a point where, even with the brakes, there was no way there were going to slow down. Hell, with Tsuji dropping the weight of the car behind, they'd be going even faster! They had to find a way to get past this corner, or they were boned! And Red didnt even get chance to use his boar-----wait.....Dropping weight.......Hmmmmm....
The cogs in Reds brain started to slowly turn. He realised that he couldnt rely on Yumi using her magnetism to keep the train glued to the tracks again, cause she was quirkless, but.....maybe they wouldnt need to. Sure, they couldnt slow down enough, but maybe they didnt need to. Trains derailed due to the speed they went causing hell for weight distribution, since they couldnt drift like cars on their own, so fi they just....dropped the weight......hmmmm....Maybe they could.....technically drift a train.........if they had a hook.....Red would look down to his hilt and the board in his hands....and get a very, very stupid idea.
".....Hey Yojin. If we dropped.....all of the coal....and all of the water in the engine.....and had a grappling hook....do you think we could make that corner down there by slingshotting around a tree or something?" Red would ask, trying to make sure he wasnt going completely insane from exposure to france. They had a lot of cables around and rope lying around that they hadnt used yet, so.......if they tied them all together and reinforced them.....then maybe they could get past this corner and coast to the finish.....Plus, hopefully it would cool the fuckin engine down atleast. Red's presence in there probably help cool it down a little, but it was still bloody swealtering in there.
So, once Yojin weighed in on his idea, probably having a better one, Red would get to work. They had a lot to do. First, they had to get rid of the coal and water, then actually make the damn grappling hook, make sure the passanger car was disconnected, and hope the hook didnt break as they went around the corner.....and that they had enough speed to get to the finish without losing their position......He could maybe make steam by cooling the engine down but that wouldnt last for long. They needed a way to keep the fire goi----.....Feng could. With her legs.
"Feng, Can you get back over to our train? Got an idea, and I need you!" Red would quickly ask over the radio, not realising that he'd worded that a little poorly, but it didnt really matter. If Feng managed to make it over, then they would have 4 peoples strength holding onto the ropes and cables.....He really just had to hope that that was enough for keep this train from tipping hard enough to derail them.
He'd quickly explain the plan to everyone else while Feng was moving, and then he got to work. He wasnt sure who was dealing with the coal and water, but it didnt matter, as long as it got done. As for him, he was tying all of the cables to his board. He'd quickly modified the frame to accomodate all of them, taking a few panels out to slot them through, and attached most of his hilts to the corners. He locked said hilts in place, 4 small wind hooks generated from them, which hopefully held long enough for them to get around the corner.
Hopefully, by the moment of truth, everything was taken care of. Taking aim with the most jerry rigged grappling hook in existance, he'd use the internal turbine of the board to help him fire it forward, towards one of the trees on the other side of the tracks. It wrapped around it very tightly, hooks digging into the bark, very deeply, but that didnt mean they were out of the fire yet. Right now, they had to pray that the ropes held and they had enough strength to keep this thing from tipping. Red was holding onto the rope to try and make sure it didnt snap, atleast. God he hoped this worked.

Feng seeing Yojin express deliver some equipment for the team caused her to lose her focus for a moment as she was damn well impressed. There were so many things happening at one that she couldn't actually process what was going on as Yumi soon equipped herself and braced the door. Luckily she made her way into the room before it was blocked by a riot shield and she can hear banging from the other side. Too many things were happening at once and she shook off some of the enemy team but she has zero idea on what to do now as things were ramping up.
She was going to help brace the door but then things took a turn as she heard Yumi say the plan in plain terms. The thought of their train derailing at the speed they were going is REALLY bad as she wrapped up her wound from the slash from earlier. Tearing a piece of fabric and using her quirk to set it a flame so she can burn the wound shut wasn't the best but she made due as she wrapped it up with the remaining cloth. The undershirt was still fine but Christ did the previous attack hurt. She started to make plans on how to take care of the enemy team but it was interrupted when she heard Yumi’s suggestion and of course she would respond in her usual matter of, “I’m not leaving you here to fend off an entire team of quirked individuals on your o-”, is what she was saying until Red responded on communications withconfirmation as he called Feng over to their train. She lost her train of thought as it snapped her out of her stupor of battle crazy as she was needed elsewhere. She saw Yumi break the taser as she was beginning to plan something. Feng made the decision then and there to get the hell out of there and make it back to their train.”SCREW IT FOR THE TEAM!”, she bit her lip as she stomped the floor as she got ready near the entrance. For a moment, it was tense as she waited for what Yumi had in mind. It was going to be crazy but she knows her enough to know she aint stupid to not having something up her sleeve.
“Ready…..GO!”
She said in her head as Yumi broke out and made an impromptu flamethrower with the spray can and taser?! “WHAT THE HELL”, was her first reaction in booth shock and amusement but she saw a window and quickly bused her quirk to blast herself forward.Kicking lover boy in the face one last time to knock him out before she heard the electric redhead tell her to go. She hated being told what to do due to previous incidents but it was all stupid because she was letting petty emotions get in the way of all of this. It was going to cost them the race if she let her own crush get in the way of everyone's hard work. She looked to where the train was going and it was going at high speed and the window of jumping was getting even smaller by the second. Her expression got more fierce as she glanced towards Yumi but a smirk appeared on her face to respond before she got ready to play catch up with a train. “Heard you loud and clear! Give em hell, YUMI! WE ARE GONNA WIN THIS!”, she yelled out as she landed on the floor and looked to the edge of the train. Hesitation and second guessing was gone as she went for a running start and LEAPT off the train without a second thought!
“LETS GO!”
The ground was passing by at great speeds under her and the wind pressure was immense but she remained steeled as she activated her quirk once and it pushed her forward, then twice and pushed her more and then it began to happen in rapid succession as her legs were engulfed in flames as she became a comment at flew at high speeds towards her teams train. She aimed for the passenger cart but she realized a slight issue as it started to separate from the train and she couldn't find a way to stop as the main train was getting away. "FUCK IM NOT GONNA MAKE IT", was a thought that was very real in her head as she pictured herself becoming a splatter on the floor with the speed she was going. All of her regrets rushed out of her as she held a pained expression as the train began to move away from her reach. But out of the blue and the nick of time as she passed by the roof of the train, Tsuji burst out of the blue and promptly helped her by grabbing a hold of her hand and onto the main train. In for the save and in the nick of time as she was finally on the train.
“Oh good christ that was a rush” She giggled nervously as she rolled onto her back on the main train where she could see Yojin and Red doing their thing. Feng took a moment to catch her breath as she just flew at a speed she never thought she would even go at. But she made it and she felt like her old self for a moment as she looked at them. She quickly went to them and had the plan explained to her in the quickest way possible. It was stupid but it was the best it can be as she began to help in this plan. She went to work by going to the coal pile and started kicking it like crazy by the pile onto the enemy tracks. Piles upon piles being kicked off the sheer force of her kicks as she can possibly do to lighten up the trains load.Pushing herself to her absolute limit as she kicked and kicked. It was nearly empty but time was running short as she rushed to the engine and began using her quirk to fuel the flames even more by feeding her fire into the engine. It burned but god damn she can take it.
As the train neared the turn, she had a piece of mind to help and see what else she can do as she was going to be a close ass drift with a train moving at a high speed.
“I HOPE YOU GEARHEADS KNOW WHAT YOU’RE DOING!”, she yelled as the wind was starting to get louder and making it harder to hear. But at this point all rhyme and formality went out the damn window as she was on a train heading for a turn and the chances of it flying off the cliff are very real and she really wants to win this and get some sleep because this entire match has been a roller coaster of emotions if she has ever seen one. So she will help in anyways she could at this point on if it means winning and not flying like a overweight flying sausage.

It all came down to trust.
Yojin kept a thousand secrets from his classmates. “Fix,” Damage Control, his parents. The whips he’d made Oracle. Saving Haruuhi. Saving G. How much Semper Fi had fucked him up. The blackmail Mercury and the Plutocracy had on him. He didn’t hate them. He didn’t even feel contempt for them. If anything, needing help--working with others--was embarrassing. He didn’t know how.
Not the greatest behavior from a support student.
But as Red explained his crazy-ass plan, as Tsuji fought to keep Riley out of Yojin’s car, something clicked in his head--
It didn’t matter if the plan was stupid.
It didn’t matter if Yojin thought he was smarter, or weaker, or...anything.
What mattered was trust. Trusting his classmates--the heroes in training, the fellow supports--to have his back. And them trusting he’d do the same.
For some reason, that realization choked him up, out of nowhere. Just. A giant lump in his throat, and eyes watering, in the middle of nowhere. Was it because of Emi he’d been so suspicious? Why did he only trust Chimera? Was it just...him? How he was wired?
Yojin angrily swiped at his eyes, refusing to think about that. He knew what he needed to do.
“Got it, Red. Fuck ‘em up, Momoko.” He mumbled into his microphone.
And then, he forced himself to focus. He needed to prep for the plan.
Yojin dropped his gear, reaching out and touching the train again, and breathed, yellow sparks crackling from his fingertips across the train. Bolts popped out, the sides of the coal bin coming loose so Feng could kick it more easily. Water started to spray from the coolant tank, as bolts exploded like a series of gunshots, one after enough, loud enough that they broke through the roar of the engines, and screech of the rails.
On the side with Red on it, another piece of paneling went flying off the train, exposing rails, bars--the sort of stuff he could easily tie the grapples to.
They were riding a skeleton of a train, at this point. A skeleton full of fire, streaming a trail of coal and smoke.
Yojin felt spikes of pain dance into his brain, and his nose started the bleed, the yellow EM field he’d built around the train wavering.
He couldn’t rest yet, though. It was time for the real test.
Yojin reached out, wrapping his hands around the ropes and wires Red had gathered to use as hooks, sparks traveling down them as he pushed his quirk into them, ready for the first break. One of the wires snapped, and Yojin immediately shot his quirk into it, yellow sparks flying down the breaking lead, repairing it, just as the next one broke. He juggled his attention to that one, repairing it, before another one snapped. And the next. And the next.
It happened in the span of seconds, a rapid-fire dance of splitting and changing his focus, tying off broken ropes and wires as they shattered. He’s never done anything like it in his life.
As the tension ended, Yojin felt his head start to spin, more spikes of pain travelling through his head, his consciousness tattering in and out.
“Team UA!” He mumbled, his voice hoarse and shaky, but surprisingly enthusiastic. “Tell me we’re gonna make it…!”

Post by Mozuku Momoko on Jun 23, 2020 23:48:00 GMT -4
The exhausted Momoko heard the Valian't conversation, but there was little that she could do to help with that. As far as she was concerned, their train was facing a technical issue that was up for the other two Robotics Club members to sort out. Yojin was just as good in getting out of trouble as he was getting into it. And Hunter... well, he's still up and going despite of everything, so he must be doing something right, as much as Momoko wouldn't want to admit it. The other hero students had been cooperative enough that whatever their plan was would get the support that it needed. ...so what would she be doing?
"What's even left? Needles, two bracelets, some tools... though a lot of stuff got fried from the-" Momoko's train of thought screeched to a halt as some warning lights lit up inside her head. She reached to her backside to feel the battery pack, and sure enough, it was definitely warmer than before. The electric wave from before must have damaged it. To what extend she couldn't be sure of, but the increasing heat was already telling that there was a reaction going on inside. Momoko could only be glad that it hasn't exploded right away due to something like a short circuit, but the situation was nevertheless getting increasingly risky. Or... was it an opportunity? If the UA Train would manage to make the turn, they'd win for sure due to their advantage. If they fell over and the Valiant Train made it over the finish line, Valiant would win. Although... Momoko couldn't quite recall what the exact rules for both trains falling over were. Would it be a draw? Would the one who fell over first lose? "...screw it." Momoko would worry about that part later. Right now, as the situation was still unraveling, it was time to excel in ways that you could. And if their own train would fall, the least that she could do was try to ensure that so would the enemy's. Yojin's words reached her at this point, and she couldn't help but smile at the timing. "Way ahead of you! Ride us to the finish line, Yojin!"
Feeling marginally better from before, Momoko climbed on top of the coupling to prepare: it was a shaky spot, but still wide enough for someone like her to use as an emergency workbench. She detached the battery pack and set it down on it as carefully as she could afford before starting to remove the two bracelets on her arms, the ones that still hold compressed air in them. Using her regular tools, she disabled the aftercoolers on them, before using some wire to attach them onto the battery with the "main" outlets pointed at the same spot. After its completion, she slid her right hand through the harness that the batter had been strapped to her back before.
Holding onto the coupling with her legs, Momoko would let herself hang upside down on the coupling, holding the battery pack in her embrace as she looked back at the passenger car. She scouted the axlebox that she had ignored earlier, and as she noticed a good anchor spot she took careful aim and shot a grappling needle at it, establishing a zipline. Both of the bracelets were activated awkwardly with one hand before Momoko gave the "package" a strong push, letting it slide the slight incline down right next to the axlebox. The uncooled concentrated air from both of the bracelets would keep blowing into the single spot on the battery pack, causing the chemical reaction that was taking place inside to quicken, and heat up. Eventually the combination of heat and gas would reach a critical point and explode right next to the axlebox. While the explosion of the battery pack by itself wouldn't be on the level of a proper bomb, it should be enough to cause the oil inside the box to catch on fire, and it could work its way from there. The best case scenario would be similar kind of damage that had happened with the axle on the rear end of the car, and cause another wheel (or wheels?) to fall off.
Even if a wheel didn't fall off like before, Momoko could try to bank on the axle getting damaged. In either case, the aim was to accumulate more damage on top of her earlier sabotage in order to throw off the curve resistance just enough that the rear wouldn't stay aligned and subsequently derail... maybe. Sabotaging a train was certainly something that she had never done before. The hold on Momoko's legs only tightened as she got increasingly nervous, keeping her arm steady to maintain the zipline and eyes locked on the "package" as it neared the critical point...

U.A:s train let out a loud whistle, like a roar of a beast unchained. A former ally had become the main foe, and the main target for disabling. And in these final moments, it would be decided, which side would win.
On Valiants train, the plan was seemingly. However, as an attack was flung towards the gray, The blades surrounding him gathered into a gigantic shield, taking the blow. "Not on my watch!" What confused Aiden however, was the girl leaving afterwards, seemingly flying towards the other train at full power. "Mia! Riley! Prepare mentally, they are planning something!" However, this time there was no answer. Aiden went a little pale. "I guess Mia's knocked out too..." Aria just grunted in annoyance. "That just means we have to take this train swiftly back!" She smacked her glaive against the shield, as the shield bent under it, Only to get blasted right in the face by the improvised flamethrower! "GAH!" She took a step back... but surprisingly, her skin was completely fine. No damage whatsoever...
"Yeah, you guys sure are smart... But I am a forge! I AM MADE TO HANDLE HEAT!" Why do you think she was ready to dive against a flame kicking girl countless times? She was used to heated situations! "Gray, give em a more direct taste of it!" "With pleasure, ma'am!" Gray briefly took small breaths. "God, she is great when she is angry!" With that, he took a larger breath, almost like he was ready to take on the measly improvised flamethrower by himself...
When a sudden explosion happened... With the train slower than U.A:s at a more reasonable speed, this small explosion combined with the momentum, successfully pushed one of the tires of the train off the rail! This proceeded the rest of the passenger car to swerve dangerously, as Grayson with a brief sigh of flames upwards, proceeded to fall backwards, almost off the train! "GRAY!" Aiden grabbed him, only for the weight of the boy to pull him along, as Aiden smacked his metallic arm against the passenger car, sticking to it. With this action, the train would surely lose all momentum, and risk falling off itself...
If Riley wasn't in such good health as she was. "Well, if I like fire so much, MAY AS WELL BATHE IN IT!" Riley jumped right into Yumi standing in front of the door, Pushing her out of the way, As she swung the glaive, and separated the passenger car, and the train engine. "I will keep this train moving for AIDEN!" She rushed forward to push the lever to make the train go faster once again, and as Aiden had commanded, 'keep the train moving'...
Meanwhile, on the other train, fighting was still happening. As Tsuji would proceed to try yet another throw on Riley, just before lift off, Riley gripped on him tightly. "Okay, NO! You coming with ME!" With that, her body mass and muscle pulled Tsuji with her, as they slammed against the passenger car side, smashing the piece sticking the two cars together. As Riley realized this, naturally, she wasn't happy. "...BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAR! You ruined everything!" With the train engine running off into the distance, Riley couldn't help but rant, groan and whine, like a spoiled child frustrated with the situation. However, the passenger car definitely had the best view of what happened next.
Everybody could probably agree, that this plan was a bit egregious. Expecting a train engine to take in all of the coal and especially water with it in a single go was an almost impossible tasks. Trains weren't usually made to handle such huge loads! However, with the train so heated, and in full go, the train was burning the coals up insanely quickly, and with it, steaming up the water... but the conclusion was that the speed kept rising! even more so! With the cables shot to to the tree, there was a clear risk the tree would just snap in two whilst trying to do this! The speed was just so high!
...But no, it surprisingly held! The ropes with Yojins help held. The clear loss of weight helped. Overall, all the pieces snapped together, as the train car lifted off the rail it was on, and placed itself on the rail on the other side. The tires were riding on top of the rails like a gigantic skateboard, with sparks flying into the air. Of course, The train started losing speed, as this wasn't what tires were made for, but the plan was seemingly working, as train drifted past the tight train successfully... You could almost hear Aidens mind burst from surprise from the unexpected result of this action!
If only there wasn't the other train. With the speed loss, and the apparent speed raising on the other train, They came in contact on the same rail! "Shit, shit, shit! Gotta hit the-!" Aria just hadn't been expecting them to do something like this! With that, there was loud screech, and sound of crashing metal against metal, as the front of U.A:s train was forcefully pushed off of the rail! The trains were grinding against each other, as they hurtled towards the finish line, stuck together! Slowly but surely, Valiants train was forcing U.A:s train out of the way to force it straight...!
"AND THAT'S IT EVERYONE!" As the goal was passed, an audible snap of the fingers sounded, and the engines immediately turned off, and emergency breaks were activated. Both trains calmly stopped, although one of the trains awkwardly off the rails from the front. "Now, Before I announce the results, I have an important note to make." The mans tone took a momentarily serious note. "I want to remind you, that trying anything like this anywhere else is a very high risk proposition. Doing it as a hero might land you in a hot water, and I want you to keep that in mind for the future. Safety for civilians and human lives overall is a priority." However, as soon as he had said that, He pulled out a party popper from his pocket!
"That said, CONGRATULATIONS U.A! Your headstart in this sort of studies, is still clearly paying off!"
At this point, Carter woke up. He looked towards Aria with a tired look. "D-Did we win?" Aria proceeded to cross her arms, as she leaned against the train engine, Shrugging. "Well, I think we can all agree we knocked some sense into them!" Aria was giving a surprisingly girlish giggle. "I know one team has a bit more funky gadget combinations!" "Yeah, No worries friends! We tried our best, that's clear. Good Job Aria on that last effort!" It seemed like the communications were running proper again. "So close, that next year we GOTTA win! Right?" "Well, I am in as long as the ladies are this energetic next year too! THE GIRLS DEMAND MORE GRAY!" "...Can I still punch the bear? Competition over?"
Carter groaned, but smiled. "Nah. Only if HE is up for it!" For now, Carter didn't surprisingly feel too bad about the result.
