As courteous as an apology could be in a fight, it seemed as though Riley wouldn't be in the mood for something like that. Almost as quick as he had turned to Fire Wolf, it might need to be checked out, as Tsuji didn't notice he was being grappled at that moment. Soon enough, however, that wouldn't matter, as the angry oni threw the bear over her shoulder. Thankfully the cart's roof was quite long, so as was thrown backwards, he would land hard, but get on his feet, scraping the roof to stop the momentum of the roll. The train had sped up, it seemed, which might make things a little tougher, but the brunt of Riley's offense had been scrapped due to it, in part – Feng had made it over, and now the trains were separated by the hill. Looking ahead to the latter part of the train, Tsuji could see chairs and numerous luxuries of locomotive travel being carelessly thrown away in an effort to gain more speed. “I think you'll find the 'nice beasty' won't be out just yet!” he said, dusting himself off.
As effective as his manoeuvrer was, the issue came with now having to face off against the beefy green giant by himself, but luckily he had the skills to pay the proverbial bills for now. Hearing the cheap insult, Tsuji would try and come back with something. Trash talk wasn't his best suit, but it was more appropriate. 'If your opponent is of choleric temper, seek to irritate him. Or, her, I guess' he thought. Rest assured, he would apologise profusely as soon as the battle was over. “Plan? I don't believe you could think of what comes after three, let alone a plan!” said the bear, getting into a cocky stance to provoke a reaction. “The only one I can see you having is to plan what dumpster you'll sleep in tonight!”
Sure enough, a reaction came forth, and oh boy did it come forth. Riley hopped into the air, with surprising athleticism, trying for a pretty massive dropkick towards the bear. However, with the air she had, there was some pretty ample time for Tsuji to dodge, and so he did, rolling forward to try and get out of her way. Good thing, too, since as a result, she smashed through the roof, down into the passenger cart. If the sky was the limit for her, perhaps it was time to show her that he was too sweet to be sour, and pitch the gravity of the situation to her. With the hole now made in the roof, Tsuji smacked his arm and leapt down towards Riley, trying to get her with a flying elbow drop. If it worked, he'd have to get back up, probably a little disoriented. Those moves weren't meant to be tried at home, after all. What'd come after that was also a little problematic; after a sharp screech and rocking of the train, it appeared they were slowing down. Going into his communication device, he would alert everyone: “Uh guys, anyone else notice we slowed down a bit? I saw stuff get tossed out, what's going on?"

Pumping an arm as the train took a blast from her attack with no one seeming to be the wiser until it actually struck, Yumi felt she could call that a victory with a strong grin, sure she'd tell Red about that in more detail later but for now there was still a contest to be won here. They had to represent their school afterall in this odd contest and Yumi was more than eager to make sure they came out the victors at the end of the day. of course, that needed some solid teamwork, so rather than go in for another blow, Yumi tried to take in her surroundings to see where she might be most needed.
Glancing back towards the UA train, and then to the opposing school's team, it became evident their own had started to slow for some reason. Sure maybe the curves in the track where just uneven around the hill but Yumi was fairly certain from what she could see that the other train was pulling ahead... she knew she couldn't easily stop it and even with her quirk she couldn't take on all of the other school alone...
"Hey guys I er... think I have a plan to slow them down a bit. I dunno what's lagging our train behind but I suggest you get it fixed! If this works out I won't be able to pull it off for long!"
While she could still somewhat outspeed the trains, Yumi kicked hard off the ground, firing sparks ahead of herself, dragging herself along her own lines of charge like an eratic wire, zig-zagging through the air in bursts of sparks till she was flying ahead of the enemy train, following their tracks, her electrical energy arcing off the rails, peering over her shoulder.
"Okay... remember the lessons... if your going 100 miles an hour and something hits you at 101 its gonna feel like a 1 mile per hour bump... so if i just gradually slow... down...!"
It took a lot more focus than she expected to slowly decelerate. At least, this slowly. Coming to a stop was easy but handling her charge so intriciately that she dropped her acceleration little by little like this took a lot of focus. At the last moment she turned herself about, her feet and hands landing against the front of the train, her quirk still active but no longer flying so much as she was just grasping onto the front of the train, panting softly since she basically just risked this thing running her over.
"O-okay... step one down... STEP TWO!"
In her mind, being on the front of the train she was in a very minimal risk position. It'd be hard for anyone to justify climbing out here to try and get her, so as her quirk charged up again she hoped she could hold this out for some time. She sent one charge through the train itself, as her arcing stands of energy attatched to the railway beneath them as the train chugged along. She was trying hard to magnetise the two of them. With the train moving so fast she couldn't lock it in place by any means, but if the railway gave more resistance, it'd definitely effect the acceleration...!

Well....thats about as good of a reaction as i could expect. Red woud think to himself, as Feng didnt really respond much.....he could atleast hope that the Thumbs up he got from her was an indication that what he'd said had actually done something to help......he really wasnt the best person for this kinda thing. Especially considering factors that he wasnt aware of, but really, really should have been. Still, with that situation atleast....somewhat patched for now, all Red could do was hope that it held for the entire race...or atleast enough that it didnt cause any bad situations.
Yojin didnt seem that optimistic about it though. He couldnt blame the guy, he'd been working in the infirmiry for the past few days, so he probably knew more about Feng than Red did right now, or atleast more about the situation that had caused her to go all depressive in UA chat. All Red could do to reply to the guy grimancing at him was through up an awkward grin and shrug his shoulders. Once Feng had her back turned, he'd signal to Yojin that he'd try and keep an eye on her with the textbook two finger signal and a thumbs up. After all, he'd tried to help already, it wouldnt be right to just dump on someone else after he was done, right?
Anyway, back to the race. Red had managed to mitigate most of the smoke, but some of it had managed to get into the passanger car.......he assumed due to Yojin having the windows open so he could throw stuff out the back. Guy seemed to be doing somewhat fine, since he had a gas mask, but that wouldnt hold for long, if the voice over the comm was any indication of his state. So, Red would take a quick second to kick the engine room door open, and give Yojin a warning.
"Hey, Yojin, Hold onto something real quick, I'll take care of the smoke!" Red would call out over the radio, generating a modest amount of wind around his arm, After a couple seconds, he'd chuck it dead centre down the train car, taking care to miss the coal, his blast engineered specifically to throw most of the smoke out the back......plus, anything that Yojin had left un-bolted down was probably thrown out the back with it, which'd help their speed a bit.
Of course, the fuckin hole in the room would probably help with that too. Right as he fired his wind forward, it seemed that the oni who'd jump over had decided to gate crash their little party, and had dropped down into their train car, directly in the path of his blast. He could only hope that Yojin was right about calling it tear gas, cause she was about to get a face full of it....Plus a wind blast to the face. And probably Tsuji dropping on her afterwards. She was not gonna have a nice day.
Still didnt know how she could double jump, but he'd have to figure that out later. "Feng, Lock him down if you can, or set their fuel on fire or something, Me and Tsuji can deal with our invader!" He'd call over the Radio......which got a rather annoyed reaction from her, but she'd just have to deal with it for now. After all, she wasnt the only one on the radio, he had to make sure everyone else knew what was going on....especially the girl who was currently underneath the enemy train, fucking with their axels.
"Let us know if you need us to do anything to help ya over there Momoko, to help screw with their train!" He'd ask her over the comm, as she reported that she was fuckin with their axels. He'd read up a bit on steam trains before this, just to make sure he knew how the thing worked correctly, and if he remembered right, Momoko was trying to set their undercarriage on fire......which Red could really get behind, that'd literally light a fire under their arses that they'd have to deal with.
Of course, UA wasnt the only one fucking with trains, it seemed. Suddenly, the train started to jerk around a bit, sparks coming from the wheels.....which could only mean one thing. The brakes had been pulled. Which meant that someone from their team, somehow, had gotten behind him and pulled em......but....Red hadnt seen anyone else come over. No one had reported it. And he was literally standing just behind the door before he kicked it in to deal with the smoke......who could have gotten over here in that time.......the only one who had jumped over was......wait....double....jump.....wait a second.
He barely heard Yumi call out about her plan, but once he caught up he had an idea on what she was gonna do.....couldnt exactly tell her to stop, when he was the one who fucked up guarding the train car. Luckily, he was right next to the coal....and he had an idea. "Hey, Tsuji, can you handle the oni on your own.....im gonna go fix the brakes." Red would say over the radio, probably answering Yumis question at the same time, before grabbing a few pieces of coal and rushing towards the door......and throwing the coal inside, using his quirk to spread the dust around as much as he could around the entire room, as a make shift smoke bomb....or so whoever was in here would think.
See, Red had a hunch. Right now the spread of people was Six people on their train, and five people on his train.....but there were six people on each team so that didnt add up. The only one he could see on their train was the Oni, but there was no way she had done something......except double jump in middle air. Red had seen her do it, but it had looked weird. No blast of air or anything really, it looked like she had just jumped off something......or SOMEONE.
He couldnt prove it of course, but it was the only thing he could think of.....beyond Yojin accidentally using his quirk to do it, but Red trusted the guy too much to think he could do that. Therefore, he decided to try and prove his theory. See.....the thing about coal is, that its VERY dusty.......and that shit can cling to you like a new born baby who really likes their teddy bear. So, Red was basically creating a makeshift "Get Fucked Invisible Person" Bomb inside the engine room.
Even if they werent invisible, atleast it might blind them for a second so Red could rush in and flick the brakes off, while the coal managed to bounce into the engine and hopefully speed them back up. If whoever was in here tried to attack or stop him, then Red would just use a burst of his quirk to blast more coal in their face and get them off of him, so he could fix their brakes.....and if he could see them afterwards? He'd try and get them the fuck off of Yojin and His's Train. Plus, over the radio, he'd call out "OI, IF YOU SEE A CLOUD OF DUST MOVING AROUND, TRY AND STOP IT, ITS ONE OF THEIRS!" over the radio.

Her barrage was successful as she damaged the lad with her initial rush but when she finished, comms went off again.
“DON'T STATE THE OBVIOUS, I'M WORKING ON IT! KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE TRAIN AND ILL WORK ON DISTRACTING THEM”, she responded over the radio in turn as she kept her eyes on the target. But some of it was on Yumi as she was about to bring down the thunder and it was a sight to behold as it came down. However she did snap out of it as she saw the enemy team gathering up. The sound of wind going covered up some of the words but she did get the gist of Carter asking for some back up. Understandable, smart and quite troubling for her as she is on her own since the other attacker is currently zipping around in the air. But she will have to do something if she wants to slow this train down.
“Oi I thought ya’ll were tougher than this! Come on,Come on!”, she yelled at them as she took more of a cocky tone. Mimicking a certain martial artist taunt to emphasize the level of not caring she is showing right now.
“Come on, keep your eyes on me”, she mutters under her breath as she sees one of them starting to rush towards her. A fighting stance was taken as she got ready to react to whatever they were going to throw at her. Of course, she was still surprised by what they were doing as a girl was thrown at her. All she can process was metal, chomping and weapons being produced for the magnetic bastard. A fancy name came with it and Feng got ready to dodge whatever was coming her way. She saw the coals moving from his arm for a split second as it was headed towards the engine. As she was going to make her move a loud attack can be heard as she realized that Yumi finally made her move and hit the engine room with all she got. The enemy team of course was caught off guard by this and they dropped some of their coal as they stumbled a bit. She was ready and she was still on her feet as she saw Aiden swing the fan of blades at her.
“Focus on the fuel and aim to damage the train as much as possible…”, she told herself in her head as she elegantly back flipped to dodge the swipe from the fan. She landed on her feet and took a deep breath while making a second pause.”...and GO!”, she said as she went into full sprint and jumped over the enemy team. Her eyes were set on the coal as she ignited her legs while in the air. “Feng, how big of a barbecue do you want?,You know me, THE WHOLE DAMN COUNTY!”, she said to herself in her head again as she winded up for her attack.
DRAGONS TEMPO: BURNING DRIVE!
In a flash, a barrage of fireballs went flying towards the coal pile, aiming to ignite all of it and burn through their fuel source in the process. It was soon followed by a small explosion in a few parts of the pile. The fire and smoke was slowly ignited and it was started to smell like a summer cookout in july. But at the same time as she did this, the train was slowing down due to Yumi’s magnetic interference with the train as it was obvious who was the culprit. For now she will have to continue her rush and do all she can to impede the enemy teams' train.

Yojin felt his muscles start to groan in protest--combat was one thing, but the repetitive stress of unbolting and lifting seats was a different type of workout. It probably would have been better if he could properly breath--his lungs were burning, and he felt weak and dizzy.
By the time he’d cleared half the car, he couldn’t take it. He doubled over, panting, fumbling over to stick his head out the window to catch his breath. Suddenly, a blast of air came from the engine room, forceful enough that Yojin would have been deafened if he hadn’t been wearing his helmet. He felt his ears pop from the change in pressure.
Oh. Right. Red.
The air felt clearer immediately. Yojin sucked in a lungful, blinking as he realized he could actually see again. The relief mingled with embarrassment that he hadn’t actually asked for help, and easily could have.
Pride, or just not used to working in a team?
“Thanks, man.” Yojin mumbled, not wanting to dwell on it.
He’d barely gotten rid of the next bench when he felt the train start to stop.
“Why're we--” He began, but his answer came before he could complete the sentence. The sound of a train braking was utterly unmistakable. The big, pneumatic air break sounded like little else--he could practically feel the metal-on-metal tension, even without his quirk.
Yojin glanced at the engine car, and saw the door open, with no sign of Red, or any other member of the team. A moment later, Red’s message crackled over the radio, confirming his suspicion.
Yojin barely hesitated. His hand snapped to his hip, drawing out his pistol-taser in a surprisingly natural motion, and he ran for the engine room car, holding the gun in front of him like a TV cop, ready to snap off a shot as soon as he saw something bad.
Red’s next message was a little more confusing--as was the fact that the engine room was full of coal dust so thick that Yojin assumed that the Emitter on the other team had also bombed it. It didn't smell right, though. And he only saw Red, who was wrestling with the break. No one else.
“--Coal monster, invisible person or summon?" Yojin frantically asked as he swept his gun across the room, trying to find the opponent.
If nothing appeared, he was just going to drop to a knee a use his quirk to help red with the breaks.

Post by Mozuku Momoko on Apr 10, 2020 17:20:51 GMT -4
Good progress had been made. The first axle on her bogie had been quick to cause major issues and had managed to separate one of the wheels already. Momoko was currently making her way towards the other one on the front of it. It seemed like she could just fiddle with the boxes on one side to cause these issues, which she was thankful for for the sake of efficiency. She could just keep traveling this one side, switch to the passenger car's second bogie and eventually make her way towards the engine car. She had to work fast, but as long as she could focus on this it should be fine. ...although Hunter could stop his yammering already. "I can think to ask help on my own, Hunter! Just focus on your own- woah!"Her snappy response was cut short as something entered her field of vision. Flaming goals, which were boulder-sized for Momoko, had made their appearance from somewhere up front and approached rapidly. She quick swung herself with the end that she was attached with to the side frame from the underside to the outer side of the train. She grasped onto it tightly with the help of her now free hand, letting both the drill and herself dangle on the side as the coals avalanched their way on the underside "I'm fine! I don't know if they know that I'm here or not, but burning goals were send this way! Over!"It could ultimately work into Momoko's favor as they could help to set the oil on fire, but she wanted to be nowhere near this bogie when that happened. Deciding the forego the second axle on this one, she struggled against the soaring wind to set her sights on the front bogie. She carefully started to untie the wire around the sideframe until she was holding on with just her hand. Momoko would then take aim and fire her free grappling hook towards the front bogie's sideframe. It'd wrap itself around it like before, with the drill head working as the tying component this time... which was a bit reckless, but she was sure that something that she had build could handle a small impact like that. She'd let the reeling mechanism do the work in getting her over. It was a clunky transition. She had to take a moment to start untying drill head wire so that she could actually make use of it. As she did, another factor was brought to her attention. The springs on the bogie creaked as something started to pressure them, joining into the ranks of all the other loud mechanical sounds that made anything coherent hard to hear. Something was causing pressure to them, but Momoko had failed to notice signs of anything that could cause something like that. It took a moment until it dawned on her. Yumi had said that she had an idea. This must have been it; it was hard to imagine anything else suddenly starting to weigh everything down other than some kind of electromagnetic force caused by her. Momoko couldn't even imagine how much effort it took to accomplish that. "Probably the best to play into that then."
She forewent tying herself into the side frame again and instead opted to flip back to the underside of the train. She'd climb on the "ceiling", tactfully as the tracks kept flying past down below as she made her way near the front side of the passenger car for the next item on her "shopping list": the brake lever. It'd obviously only help hindering the front wheels of the passenger cart instead of the whole train, but the other team'd have to do some work to do anything about it, that's for sure! Momoko wasn't planning to stay there to function as a living wedge, which unfortunately did mean giving up some of her wire. Detaching the head of the left gauntlet, she started to unreel the wire within and to wrap it around the brake lever and another part of the frame. "Hnnnnnnngh!"The small girl used her own unreal strength to actually move the lever to braking position. She struggled to seal the locking by finalizing the knot on the wire, but after some difficulty she managed to do so. She'd activate the frontal magnet again just to take a breather on the "ceiling". She'd also take this moment to give a status update and was sadly unable to hide her momentary exhaustion, leaving breathing gaps between her words. "Enemy's... passenger car's... brake jammed... over."Taking one final sigh, Momoko disengaged the magnet and started climbing towards the front side of the passenger car. She'd take a moment to take some peeks from down below and tried to listen better to the ruckus that was occurring to get a read on the overall situation before proceeding further.

The loud metallic creak of the roof beneath the girl was not nearly as satisfying to Riley as it could have been! She kept going down, but with roof slowing her attack, she proceeded to land relatively calmly on her backside with no wounds whatsoever. Onis are that thickskinned. However, there was a very weird draft in the train. With her muscles, it was no problem stay on still, but she had thought the place would be smokier? However, before she could get up, came quite a load to bear... Namely a bear following her fall! With a loud grunt of pain, The bear smacked against her stomach, and surprisingly, there came another creak! The combined weight of Tsuji and riley had ended up smashing Rileys backside through the floor! "Wh-Wha!?" Her position was awkward! She struggled for a little while angrily, stuck in her position for now atleast. "COME BACK HERE! FIGHT NOT OVER! SCRAPSMOOCHER! FISH BREATH!"
However, in the case of the invader to the actual engine engine room, the makeshift smoke bomb went off! And soon enough, he could hear coughing coming from inside it... "*Cough, cough... Aiden! I've been... FOUND!" A familiar sound answered. "Well, you did all you could... if you want, you can leave the train..." "We-we'll see!" it seemed like the door had been open for a reason... she had been able to hear all the shouting going on, and now, had informed some of the things shouted to the others on the other train. "Okay, okay... keep calm... you can do this!" These were the words Red and Yojin could hear as they charged into the engine room. Things seemed to be mostly in order aside from the break switch being down... However, as soon as they were in, There would be a snappy 'kerclunk!' behind them, as a girl emerged from thin air to make faces at them on the other side of the door! "BLEEEEH! Look up next time!" The duo had been locked into the engine room! And the only key, was in the girls possession. They had to find some way to get out on their own.
However, as Yojin had planned, the break switch was modified. It couldn't be pulled back anymore, and the train would keep moving even if it was pulled. The train was quickly gaining speed back to what it had been and then some... That and Mia would blink with her eyes open wide as she would see the scene in front of her. "W-Wait... You LOST!?" "I DIDN'T! BEAR RUINED PLAN!" Mia couldn't help but sigh awkwardly, before making heart sign with her fingers and accompanying it with a grin. "GOOD JOB, BOTH OF YOU! <3" "SCREW YOU!" as she would try to climb on top of the passenger train before she was attacked again...
Meanwhile, on the other train, Aiden had heard enough. "Gray, change of plans!" If this Momoko was already messing with the train, yet wasn't seemingly on top of the passenger or the engine cart... then the answer was obvious. "We have a gnome under the train! Take care of it!" "YES DUDE!" As Gray proceeded to start climbing down, Feng was going for another attack. Carter couldn't help but shout. "Not again...!" However, this time Aiden was on top of it. "Tactic: Blade edge mountain!" The metallic daggers formed a a propeller like fan in the air, blowing the flames so they couldn't hit carter... however, he couldn't block all the sparks, and thus, Some of the coal was set on fire! "Okay, take what you can and move it!" "I'll try!" With his sandbag on his back, and coaled up arms, the big boy hopped off of the coal cart, and proceeded to try and fill the train with coal for a burst of speed! At this point, it was really hard to notice, with the trains being a bit apart...
A ding sounded... They had passed the first milestone, as the station passed by them. The train behind the canadian team was suddenly gaining on them! Carter couldn't help but look confused as he tried to shovel more coal into it. Nobody had yet noticed, that Yumi was slowing them down, and had pretty much neutralized whatever speed they could have gained... However, the coal cart was now flaming harshly, as Aiden pulled his blades back... "As expected. The daggers are a bit melted from the heat." "Bah! If you want I can just fix em right now." "N-No no! They are great still! Just gotta be careful..." Aria proceeded to once again tackle towards Feng, trying to outright push her off the train, and interrupt her insane amount of strikes! Grayson meanwhile had made it down, hanging from the passenger car, looking under the train, and taking a breath, readying an attack for whenever he saw anything move...
At this point the amount of steam was like a fog in front of the train. Everything got a little bit moist, and the culprit for that was in the distance... A huge waterfall falling down, rippling into the water and bouncing off of it into the air, outright foaming! It seemed like the trains would be splitting again soon! This time, one train on each side of the waterwall, one next to a wall, and one over the lake itself! But there was something else... Aiden started noticing the slightest bit of pull on his daggers, pulling them towards the train...
No gnome could do this that was for sure... Where was Yumi?

Shortly after his brief stint of befuddlement due to a manoeuvrer that could have cost him more than his green skinned opponent, Tsuji snapped out, now seeing the proper fruits of his labour – an oni, stuck in the floor, unable to get out, hurling cheap shots at him. “Y'know, sometimes brawn is good to use – but brains need to stretch sometimes as well.” he said for a retort. It was at this point now that he heard a voice crying out, as well as a shift in the body count in the passenger train. Now there was a bear, an oni, and to round it off, a visible invisible girl. She placed her hand into a heart shape, and for some reason congratulated Tsuji and Riley for a good job: the boy was confused, Riley had indeed lost, and Mia, who was also on the Canadian team, should be fighting him, not giving him encouragement. She must have forgotten the rules or something, but nevertheless, a compliment was a compliment, and he was glad to have made friends with someone in the heat of battle. However, with the train picking up the pace, and the distinct heat from the smoke coming in from the roof, it was high time to try and get another member retired, especially if she was messing with the train. She leapt up to the hole and clambered through, and Tsuji prepared to give chase. “Riley's been dropped, I'm heading over for Mia now. What's your situation, guys?” he said over the comms, just to maintain some level information with the team. Taking a running start, the bear leapt upwards towards the hole, grabbing the metal and pulling himself up, the weakened section bending a little bit. Probably couldn't use it again. Popping his head out facing ahead was useful, as the bear gazed toward a fairly large waterfall, spraying down a cascade of blue and white. The smoke from the train was thick and fast, facing now the direction it followed, he could still see her down the way in her escape. “Not so fast!” he said, dashing over to intercept her exfiltration attempt. Tsuji leapt up, turning and moving towards her, and outstretched his right leg, and contracting his left, trying for a kick attack, yelling “Maximum Spark Kick!” as he did so, to try and knock her off balance. If she could turn invisible, it wouldn't be too much of an issue, as even if this attack whiffed, she was bound to catch water on her, which would be visible to anyone

Fuck this was… exhausting. More so than she’d have ever liked it to be. Glueing the train to the rails was an easy enough concept in practice. Fill both of them with opposing charges and they’d naturally began to stick to one another. The difficult part however was the fact both were already in motion! She couldn’t feel the rails under her for long enough to consistently give them the charge she needed to, and all the whole she had to constantly be pumping the train itself with an electrical charge that annoyingly wasn’t enough to harm any of the opposing school. Well, she thought it was annoying right now at least, but in truth it was probably a benefit given that they REALLY shouldn’t be zapping any of their own comrades on the train!
And as if matters weren’t already complicated enough…
Yumi felt her own sparks feeding back on her suddenly. With her face in the nose of the train she hadn’t managed to see what was coming, but as the faint tickles radiated across her exposed skin and the haze in her vision became more and more evident, a fog forming on her goggles, Yumi pushed off the nose of the train as best she could to look over her shoulder, lifting her fogged goggles and her eyes widening in alarm as she realized what was going on. “Jesus-!” She cursed out in annoyance. She was trying her best here but now the air was getting… ugh. *Moist*. To complicate things. With a deep sigh of frustration through her nose she looked back to the main train and figured she better find a new way to be useful. If the air was gonna get this thick she would have to really re-think her output and this was enough of a juggling act to be frying her brain already.
“Okay guys gotta change up the plan here! I’m headin’ into the engine room! If you’re in their I suggest closing your eyes real tight!”
Tugging one of her lightning rods off her hip, she flipped it once in her hand and let out a sharp, shaky breath, barely able to catch it given the speeds they were at. She’d fill it with a charge, waiting till she heard a soft ping from her goggles to indicate it was topped up, tugging them back down over her eyes and just-
Kicking off the train.
She couldn’t really rely on her flight here and trains this old didn’t have front facing windows due to the fucking engine blocking the view, so just kicking off the side of the train, she let the wind act as a set of brakes, still holding the trains momentum but it was rapidly passing her by. The moment she saw the side door of the engine room she zipped inside, landing in a hasty crash given the speeds of everything involved. She tucked in tight, her back still slamming against a metal inner wall of the train, but focusing on her objective.
“HOPE YOU GUYS HAVE HEALTHCARE!”
Okay that was a stupid line but she was proud of it.
Raising her lightning rod up as she fell to the ground in the engine room, the rod opened up and her charge was released. It didn’t harm anyone, but a flash of practical lightning right in your eyes was BOUND to do some damage.
“ENGINE ROOM FLASHBANGED!”

"SECOND ONE, I THINK!" Red would yell, having heard said invisible woman coughing a little bit from all the coal dust, but he'd managed to get to the brake. It was a fuckin bastard to try and pull down, but it was a steam engine break. Those things were sticky for a good reason, since they were fully mechanical brakes.....still, he really appreciated the help from Yojin on that front, casting his gaze over the rest of the car. He had to wonder .....he'd heard her in here, so where was she? He'd figured the coal would make it easier to see her, or that she'd try and hit him but....she wasnt in here....had she already escaped or something? That was when Red Realised.....they hadnt looked up. Straight up, atleast.
Right as he thought that, and Yojin flipped the brake back off, he saw the door start to close. "Ah fuck, She was on the roof, she dropped behind us Yojin!" He'd call out, but it was already too late. With a loud noise, the door was shut behind them, and Red would actually get to see the woman who'd locked them in....very much thanks to his coal trick. Worked like a goddamn charm, she was visible to everyone right now. The funny thing was, she was acting like she won but.....Yojin'd dealt with the brakes, They'd gotten her outta there, and he could just....stick his finger in the lock and open it back up....and Red could just jump out the window.
"Shit, sorry Yojin, figured she'd try and stop me or somethin, didnt look there" Red would apologise, pointing at the corner right above the door, where he'd figured Mia had been hiding. She seemed nice though, beyond locking them in....maybe a little Dim but she didnt know what their quirks were, who could blame her? But anyway, enough of that....Red had more pressing matters to take care of.
"Momoko, hide. Invisible Girl on our train, might have heard me on the radio. Cant now, but she locked us in to the engine room....for now. The coals might have been an accident, but whatever comes after you next wont be." He'd immeditaly radio her to let her know he fucked up. He should have realised that, with the door being open, and her being invisible, she could probably hear everything he was saying.....and if that awkward fuck he'd talked too was as good at tactics as they acted like he was, then he'd just gotten a fuckin care package of wonderful intel to use to his advantage. Goddammit.
Taking a look out the side window, Red would quickly try and ascertain the situation. He couldnt tell what was happening in their own train, but the other side looked a bit worse for wear. He knew that Momoko was fuckin with their train, had even tried Jamming their brakes so they could use em....and as far as he was aware, they didnt have a Yojin to fix it....so if they ended up going TOO fast around a bend they could derail.
But, they'd have to be able to go that fast first. Feng had managed to set their coal on fire, which would probably hamper their speed in the long run, and if Yumi kept slowing them down, eventually the steam pressure would get too much....and the engine'd explode. In theory, anyway. But, looking at the way forward, odds were she wouldnt be doing that for much longer.... considering the steam and mist starting to coalesce around both trains.....thanks to a waterfall in their way, up ahead. Red may have gotten a few ideas on how to use that.
"We're fine, Tsuji, just stuck in the engine room for a minute, I'll be with ya in a second. Brakes have been Fix'd." Red would give Tsuji their situation, makin a joke about how Yojin fixed it, that hopefully didnt end up makin Yojin feel wierd. Not at all. figuring that having Tsuji drop EVERYONE on their train was a bit too much work to put on the guy alone....besides, Riley couldnt have been outta the game that easy. She was an Oni, and if he knew anything about Onis....they dont go down that easy. Atleast the Mia back home didnt give that impression....boy was having two Mias to think about kind of confusing.
"Hey, Yojin, you'll be alright on your own in here right? I figure you can just open the door if you need to, but shout if you need anythin, Im gonna go help Tsuji out with Mia and Riley....Just do me a favour? Dont look out this window after I live, if you like seeing....and if you could....try and make sure the coal doesnt get too wet? Sorry uhhh...Waterfall comin up, probably be bad." He'd very awkwardly ask Yojin, before just throwing himself out the window. Palmed some coal on the way out though, just incase.
You'd think this would be a pretty suicidal move, but luckily for Red, he had his quirk to compensate. The rapid shift in momentum almost gave him too much wind to work with, but he knew what he was gonna do with it. After all, he didnt plan on dropping outta this race just yet. So, He'd spin around in the air, flipping backwards so that his feet were facing the enemy train....specifically, the coal car....that was currently on fire. They would not like what he was about to do.
Gathering all his wind around his feet, he'd pull his legs up to his chest....and then fire them back down, firing a massive blast of wind in the fires direction. Ironically, it was very similarly timed to Yumis flash bang, so they might not have been able to SEE the raging inferno Red was trying to create....after all, add oxygen to a fire, and it blows the fuck up. At the same time, he'd use the recoil of that to fire himself upwards, above their own train....and he saw Tsuji trying to do one of those kicks form Kaz's weird TV sho----
[smear:#1979e6]Oh goddammit......not right now.....[/smear:#ff0000:1] Red would tell himself, shaking the sharp pain that went through his head out, sparks flying around him just a little. But, he couldnt just sit in the air waiting, otherwise the train would leave him behind, so.....he lowered his altitude a little but, just enough so he could drop back onto the train if he needed too....and then used the fact that Mia was coming towards him train wise, to his advantage......by kicking her in the fuckin head. It was a classic, really.

Feng’s assault on the enemy train has been going quite well barring the pair who had been resilient in their efforts at keeping her away from her objective of burning down the coal cart. The mixture of their metal control and magnetism was proving more than effective at staying her flames. It was annoying to say the least but it seemed that they were getting quite desperate at their attempts due to the fact that one of their own is trying to tackle her mid-rush. Her expression shifts from focused to puzzled as this is happening. The goal of this is obvious as they are on a moving train and it's a two on one. Cant say she blames them but she is also got a mischievous look on her face as she comes at her.
“Tackling a girl who can move as fast as a bullet? They must be getting desperate…” Fei’s voice chimes in Feng's head as she stops her storm and starts moving around Aria. It was becoming a game to her, dodging her tackles and strikes. Her speed and skill were more than enough to keep the girl moving. “Well I’d love to play some more but I have other things to do. Have a nice trip!”, Feng says as Aria runs at her one more time where the red-head promptly trips her and uses her quirk to attempt to kick the girl towards the very back of the train and hopefully off it as she was proving more than an annoyance for her liking. Was it unnecessary to use that much force? Possibly, but she was trying to push her off first and she can probably save herself. That or her lover boy can pull her up. She takes a moment to make sure that the girl is at least out of sight before turning to Aiden.
Her eyes were glowing as she readied another rush but then the fog started to roll in. It was then an idea occurred in her head as she felt the moist air start to engulf her body. A refreshing feeling and ample cover for what she was about to do. The boy is now by himself and now she can take him out quickly as he seems more depending on his partner than she thought. The Metal blades still prove to be an issue but she has ways of working around them. Weapons or not, he is still playing defender. The Fog provided ample cover for her to sneak up to him and hit off the train. It leaves less defenders on their end and more time for her to do some damage.
It was then a loud noise and a flash of light came from the front of the train as she took a second to look away from the engine room to avoid getting blinded. She flinches for a moment as she feels sorry for whoever is in there. But then it also opened up an opportunity as she goes to work. “[smear:#12882e]Let's show them how a Yao gets the job done[/smear:#bd1f19:2]”, both voices say in unison as her eyes glow.
If she succeeds in her stealth move. From the perspective of Aiden, all he could see in the fog is Fengs figure with two glowing eyes. The moment he blinked however, she was gone from his sight as if she were a ghost. In actuality she simply used a mixture of her speed, mobility, some old memories and the fog to get behind him quietly. It was the easiest trick to do and the most effective as she promptly attempted to kick him in the crotch from behind him. Anyone who even witnessed that can feel Aidens pain as she made sure to not hold back if the kick made contact .After the initial shock and pain, she’d then roundhouse kick him towards the very back of the train. "Bai Bai, Lover Boy!", she jokingly remarks to him as she feigns blowing a kiss but then throws her hand to the ground.
“One opponent down and another became the nutcracker, going the remaining ones busy” she says over the radio to make sure her team got that. She dusts her hands off and goes to look at the pile of coal. Jumping into the pile was the first idea she had but it seemed too risky and could be used against her if they play their cards right. Shoveling off mass quantities using her kicks is another nice idea but that also leads to her being covered in soot and that can also be real bad. So she opts to not mess with the coal for now as the fog is already gonna do the work for her.
Instead she keeps her eyes on the back of the train and watches if the other two she kicked are still hanging on. If they are, then she takes a ready stance and prepares to fend them off once again. The whole point isn't to beat them but to simply delay them long enough to lose. That also means she can mess around and see how much they can do against her on a two on one. It was beginning to get fun for her and she is starting to feel a bit better about everything. That could be the anger talking but at this point she is using it to her advantage. This is a fight that happens once in a life time and she might as well get as much out of it as she can.
“Come on! Come on! Lets see what you can do, Metal Girl and Magnet Lad!”, she says mockingly as she moves idly in place. She knows its going to drag attention towards her but she was ready for them as she took the time to catch a breath. However the sights they are missing is a shame as the train was moving an absurd speed.

Yojin nodded at Red, acknowledging the other boy’s assessment of their saboteur's quirk.
“Right.” He muttered. Coal should have handled that, at least for a moment, then.
The door clicking shut was an unpleasant surprise. Yojin was pretty confident he could break the lock, or worst-case, the hinges, but it meant he’d missed a chance to pop off a shot at the girl.
Then again, if she’s streaking or some shit like that, just as well.
Yojin looked back at Red, about to say that he could handle the lock, only to find the other student halfway out the window.
Hero Students.
“Go. I’m good.” Yojin replied, and waved goodbye as Red threw himself out the window. A moment later, he saw a giant flash and roar of an explosion outside, and winced. Hopefully that had been from their side. It wasn’t like he could look too close.
In fact, it was kinda hard to get a good view of the fight from the engine room.
“Engine room clear. Pushing us into the redzone until we’re out of the waterfall.” He reported through the headphones, trying to figure out if he was needed anywhere else. From the other reports, it sounded like their train was clear, and the UA team was on the offensive. Two enemy students handled, two more playing defense.
Yojin made a satisfied grunt at the realization that he might not even have to fight. Other students might consider it a blow to their pride, but Yojin wasn’t too fussed at letting the other students do the heavy lifting, for a change.
Well. Most of the heavy lifting.
Since he had a moment's clear space, Yojin made good to his word, moving up to the train’s control panel, using one hand to operate the levers, and placing the other flat on the instrument panel, half-closing his eyes.
He’d done his reading before now, even if this was new to him. Steam engines had a couple things choking their power--air, fuel, and pressure limits, mainly. Normally, if you ran them too hot, you’d risk an explosion, but he could probably ekke a little more horsepower out of the thing while they were running through the waterfall. The cooling would balance out, even if it might make air a problem.
Meant he had to shovel more coal, too. Once he’d nudged up the bellows, and kicked up the engine, he stepped back from the instruments, going to go do that.
“Ya’ll might want to step inside if there’s a risk of getting washed off, or blinded. Anyone need anything? I don’t want to get too bored.” He added while he grabbed a heavy shovel, and started to add it to the burning hot engine.

Hunter informing about the compromised intel was the first relevant piece of information he had spoken all day, so in that sense it was appreciated. She had to move: if the enemy did truly know that Momoko was somewhere on the train they would eventually try to check the underside. That would be an awkward task and she wasn't entirely sure how they'd go about doing so, but she wasn't quite curious enough to find out how they'd do that. She started to make her way to the side that was facing their own train. As she finally did flip over the side once more she could hear some noise coming from the front. She'd give reluctant thanks to Hunter in her thoughts. The side of the train was a smooth surface. The only notable of area for attachment vertically were the edges of windows, something that required a hook instead of a harpoon end... which Momoko didn't have. This kind of metallic surface could have also been scaled easily with small magnetic ends to attach to her hands... which Momoko didn't have either, nor the strength to penetrate this material with her harpoon ends to scale the side with them. She let out a frustrated sigh and prepared to pay up for her shoddy planning. This climb was gonna be incredibly awkward. One of her hands rested on the magnet's dial as the other held itself against the side. She'd lower the strength of the magnet in small increments until the wind started to ever so slightly affect her. Then, with her whole body, she nudged herself upwards. She moved a small amount upwards and sideways by doing so. Deeming this to be good enough, Momoko continued to do so as the trains started to enter the foggy territory. The water that clung to the surface almost caused the small girl to slip off, but she managed to salvage the situation with a frantic leap to the window's outer edge. incredibly relieved, she successfully lifted herself onto it. Momoko would have wanted to reach the roof, but with the waterfall coming up that wasn't an option. There was nothing to gain by trying to cling up there and deal with the issues it would cause. "Gotta make this quick."Momoko smashed the window with a kick and jumped inside immediately after doing so. She'd locate and swing herself swiftly over the door frame of the passenger car, all the while hoping that she could manage to do all of that before the person who had tried to search for her could, presumably, undo their awkward position to check what had caused the noise. Hopefully all of the ruckus had managed to mask it, but Momoko couldn't rely on something convenient like that. She'd remain up there in silence until a person, doesn't matter who, entered through the doorway. They would be greeted by a heel drop at the back of their head. "Tag!"
Immediately after doing so, Momoko would swing further down the passenger car to try and avoid an immediate counterattack. Direct combat wasn't in Momoko's favor, and she knew that well. She'd just need to play keep-away inside until they were past the waterfall section. It'd be less complicated to be a menace outside after that. ...though if no one would come to check what had happened, that would be fine as well. Being able to sit the waterfall section out in peace was more than tempting.

What gray ended up seeing from his position was... well, absolutely nothing. He gave quick breath of flames, just in case to smoke out if anybody was hiding under the train. "Well, mierde!" That must mean this sneaky bugger was already somewhere else! However, as he tried to correct his position a little bit, he noticed that his teammate was on top of the train car. Hopefully she was careful not to slip. Instead of shouting it out however, he gave a brief nod towards her to guarantee to her, that he was ready to catch her, if she somehow failed her jump. However, he couldn't help but gasp as he realized something quite obvious: "YOU ARE STILL VISIBLE! THE BEAR CAN SEE YOU!" "Huh!?" The dirt with the moisture had clumped up against her outfit, making it very clear there was someone standing in her position! Luckily, she was quick enough to flip out of the way, as she squatted with her arms against the slippery train, and pushed! She flew forwards towards the safety of her own train... Only for a silhouette of a boy to be coming her way...
You see, a lot of things happened at the same time in this brief moment before the waterfall...
One of these things was a warning issued by Yumi, that caught everyone but Aiden off-guard. "So, there she was..." The front of the train, a risky position to be certain, and a place they wouldn't check othervise, clever! Meanwhile, Fengs counter on Aria was a success, as the quite heavy girl was flung decently far across the passenger car. "Ugh...!" "Aria! I know I am important, but at this point, You should concentrate on making yourself more effective, and not be a shield for me!" Aria grunted in annoyance. Admittedly, the chestplate was getting too heavy. With safe distance between the both of them, she removed the breastplate, leaving only the undershirt. Then, once again, she dislodged her jaw, as she seemingly devoured the breastplate whole, in a quite freaky looking scene... "Gonna take a while, but..." In this case she trusted aidens judgement.
However, Yumis warning gave a warning to Carter as well. "Why do these folks hate me so much?" Maybe being a fuelman made him a prime target for anything! He dropped his sack of sand, as his hands sank into it... And at that point, Yumi swooped into the train car already! He lifted his hands, as the sand formed into man sized plates of rock, as the girl shouted, and dropped a flashbang! Carter flew back from shock against the controls... "Oh come on!" Carter took full brunt of the blast, but his sandy palms could cover the light from flashbanging the others. However, in this case, Carter knew that for now, the enemy who had done this to him was still in the same room! "I ain't gonna just fall over and lose cause of my quirk!" As quickly as he could, the sand on his hands formed into a clamp, surrounding the general area of the small room, and hiding himself behind it like a moderate shield. "If I can neutralize you with it...!" The clamp started to press together, trying to force yumi into a mold with her in it. If the attack was successful, she would completely immobilized. "Then nobody has to worry about it anymore!"
Despite Carters efforts, the flash was bright enough to grab many peoples attention. "Carter!" However, as Feng tried to take an advantage on the situation, Aiden was ready. The magnetized blades of his proceeded to spin around him, as he leaned back, the magnetized legs of his strong enough to flip him into the air... and Feng would feel the sharp blades cut across her chest. Not deep enough for internal damage, but more for pain. "Like I told Aria, Don't underestimate me!" Behind him, the explosion of air against the flames proceeded to just flash that determination even further! However, the coals, despite the fire being hardened, were weakened by the steam However, his mind was racing... if Carter was in trouble, they had to help him, but...
And now, we can return to the moment we started with. The moment where Mia was about to be attacked...
This was immediately followed by jet black flames shooting out of graysons mouth, as they directly hit Red from the air. The risk of being still and waiting for a target to come to you, makes you a decently easy target to spot. However, he couldn't stop the kick from landing, as the girl proceeded to grunt and whirled through the air, with grayson barely being able to grab her leg before she would fall down the waterfall that passed their front. "YOU INSOLENT MANBABY! How dare you try to kill our beautiful mademoiselle in the middle of a mid air flight!? DO YOU HANDLE YOUR PARTNER LIKE THIS!? I doth pity her for her prides rashness, you nincompoop!" Yes indeed. the girl could jump very far, but she couldn't fly... although the mildly annoyed glare mia was giving to grayson implied different things. "I...I am fine! Stop it! That was literally the first hit they landed on me, I am fine!" However, the burns implied she had been hit too... She was getting more tired by the moment. "S-Sorry. Atleast I made sure that you are still in a marriable conditi-" The girl proceeded to do an almost perfect sit-up, and slapped the boy with the widest of smiles on her face, as she proceeded to climb the wall of the passenger car. "Thank you and see you later!" And with that, she proceeded to do what she was good at...
Surprise attacks! The water from the waterfall having cleaned her suit up, allowed her to sneak up on taunt throwing feng, as she wrapped up her legs around her neck, and proceeded to throw her towards the rocky cliffside! "Though close calls have to be answered with close calls of their own!" She didn't want to outright murder the fire using girl by making it impossible for her to recover, but she did want to make this painful. Now, it was a three on one if nobody came to help her.
Meanwhile, Grayson recovering from the slap groaned... in a satisfied manner. "Gentlemanly thing of the day done!" He proceeded to climb into the passenger car... Only to get bonked on the head and fall to his knees. The target who had done this was obvious... "AH, the little thumbelina! I heard you were here!" The bump on his head was growing quite huge. "And unfortunately, I need to make sure you do not do anything to ruin our train car anymore so!" He took a breath, and proceeded to breathe a wave of flames towards her, setting seats on fire and slowly starting to fill up the car with smoke... a thing he hadn't yet noticed. He hadn't even noticed the big sandy block next door.
speaking of next door... Riley had been left alone. The insults Tsuji had thrown her way didn't help her temper. And as tendency tends to be, when you anger someone who is frustrated with a situation they are in even further, they tend to find a way out of it. With that, Riley proceeded to lift herself bridge style out of the hole, as she lifted herself up to a standing position through the sheer power of her abs! "BEAAAAAAAAAAR! COME BACK HERE!" She vented her frustrations... however, there was one target she should probably fight for the good of the team. She didn't know where the other things happening were... but she did know a certain NERD was stuck in the engine room! She took off charging, tackling the door at full force! The door didn't bend, but the lock on it sure did scream... "Yojin, right!? LET ME IN! GONNA BEAT YOU UP FOR WHAT BEAR DID!" With the waterfall now splitting the two parties, it was hard to say whether she was stuck with them, or if they were stuck with her. Soon, the lock would break, and then a beatdown would happen.
However, While The moisture in the air for canadian team under the waterfall, was turning the raging flames into mostly grill ready heated coals, with Yojin successfully putting their train on overdrive, the insides of the train were heating up, and badly. But, it did have the desired effect. The speed was rising! And with Yumi interrupting Carters efforts once again, the speed of the train was still just normal. The U.A train, was gaining ahead! But what was ahead? Keeneyed folks could see that the tracks kept going, but as soon as the waterfall ended... nothing! Just clean air seemingly, which either meant that was the goal... Or that there would be a very steep drop coming. A bell sounded. The second check point had been passed.

Crashing down to the roof of the train, and careening towards the invisible girl, Tsuji was ready to get his kick off – however, from the other train, a loud cry allowed the girl to dodge out of the way, and she quickly made it over to her own train. It sucked, sure, but there wasn't any time to get upset, he had to keep going to try and get someone out, especially since the train could have been messed with. Plus, it seemed as though Red had tried to help in a similar fashion, much to the chagrin of the opponents. Speaking of which, a tell tale cry for Tsuji's arrival bellowed from underneath him, and it would only be rude to not accept the call. Heading back to the hole made by Riley, the bear carefully grabbed onto it, and swung back into the passenger train. Following the outcry, it led over to the engine car, where last he knew that Yojin was located, being locked in, and all. Riley slammed into the door to the engine room, attempting to break in and get him, and if they were down one engineer for this train ride, it would be a drastic move that could result in lower speeds. Yumi was doing her thing on the other train, but they needed hometown help as well. Now, he could try and anger her again, but it seemed she was enraged enough. So, as careful as he could be, Tsuji snuck up behind Riley, stepping through the car, and then when directly behind, grabbed her sides and connected his arms together, and leant back, attempting to pull the oni up over him, and send her crashing to the floor, in a truly reliable German suplex. If it didn't work, he'd try to reverse her attempts to attack, but he had put himself in a win or lose scenario. Either way, it would probably distract the girl enough that he was back for more, leaving Yojin out of the picture in terms of battle, so he could keep the train going.
