With the valiant school acting as their base of operations for a few days while they were in the area the school had made sure to be as accommodating as possible to the other schools who would be visiting, which admittedly wasn’t all that hard. Like UA it was designed for a 3 year class system and yet only had 2 years so far, so with the assumption the visiting students wouldn’t be needing full blown classes, it was easy enough to at least accommodate for training space so the visiting schools weren’t left ‘rusty’, giving the valiant students an unfair advantage. Very sporting of them if Yumi thought so herself.
Of course, this meant Yumi had plenty of room to fill in on a promise she’d made one of her closer friends, Feng, leading up to the exhibition festival itself. She’d promised to have a sparring match with her to help her deal with speedy opponents but the two’s schedules back in Japan had just never managed to link up. So, the moment they had a bit of free time on their trip, they’d managed to snatch up one of the training fields and got ready for an old fashioned UA training session.
Here’s hoping there’d be no lasting injuries for the sports festival itself.
“So, you sure you’re wanting me to go all out Feng?~” Yumi chimed from across the training space they’d arranged, stretching her arms across her chest before getting down low, bending one knee to one side as she stretched out the other leg. Really with her quirk stretching out had arguable benefits. It wasn’t confirmed if it helped loosen up the muscles that generated her electricity or not and given she flew about and didn’t move as normal, she may not even need to do it but…hey, better safe than sorry.
“You were looking to deal with a speedy opponent right? Well I should warn you. I think the last time we tested it I was the fastest in the school…!~” She smirked nice and wide, a little smug at that. Even if Darren had managed to bale before she’d gotten some sense of revenge out on him it still meant she now got to hold his title in his place. Where he’d been the fastest, most sharp witted person in the school, Now Yumi at least held the former title in his place.. hard not to feel at least a little smug there.
“I mean, really, I’m more than happy to give you my all but-“ Feeling a lot more confidence than she once was thanks to her hastag ‘character development’ over the Christmas period, Yumi hopped back to her feet, a few idle sparks flicking off across her skin as she got herself hyped up for a sparring session with her buddy, just hopping in place for a few seconds before settling down with a still confident smile, her full coating of blue electricity not crossing her yet as she made sure- “I’m happy to hold back if you need…~”

The fateful day arrived as Feng finally gets a chance at sparring against UA’s strongest. Strong, Fast, a leader, likable and much more could be used to describe her friend. Unfortunately this was planned to be done at UA but they couldn't meet up due to the festival taking priority and much of the prep had to be done for that. As a result here they stand in a foreign land in a training area to settle the matter in typical UA fashion. She wore her white hero outfit and brought the staff just in case.
Nervous couldn't be accurate on how she described how she felt about this. She is someone to look up to and even suggesting sparring against someone of her caliber would be lunacy. One couldn't even hope to catch up to her level of power even if she trained like mad. But she had to try her hand not because she wanted to fight her because she was strong. That reasoning was going to her if she held onto the belief. No she wanted to test herself and see what she can improve, Feng needed a good punch to the face to find her weaknesses and do her best at fixing it.
When she arrived Yumi was in her attire and ready to go. Sparks could already be seen as she stretched and she holds some reservations about holding back due to her immense strength. Feng would take a deep breath and remained steadfast as she would walk forward and got into her position. She can't lose face now or run away, there's going to be stronger people than Yumi and she has to be ready to take them all on. Though her title of being fastest in the school does grant her bragging rights and a part of her feels a slight bit jealous. But that only adds to the fun of it as she has a chance to go full speed.
“I appreciate the concern, Yumi. But I need to see you at full force because I need to see if I’m stronger than I was back then. This is a test for myself and I need you to come at me with all you got.”, She would reply to her various suggestions of holding back without shuttering. Her eyes held a burning resolve. Feng's body began to heat up as she could get herself ready to go at her at full force. “My blood is burning right now and I wanna see what this fire can really do…”
She would slowly take the stance of Dragons Tempo and she could already start to get her beat going as she synchronized her body and mind. The attempt on her life swayed her from her path for a moment and she is now ready to face the future dead on. She will not doubt herself ever again. This is not out of anger or spite, this is out of passion and by god she will give Yumi a run for her money by any means.
“Are you ready?", she would ask as her eyes began to glow a bright yellow. Something that hasn't happened in a while since the incident.

So, seemed like Feng was definitely certain with their choice here, and with her newfround confidence Yumi didn’t mind that one bit. Of course, she’d still secretly hold back at least a little… if the two of them ended up going against one another in the tournament Yumi needed to make sure she still had an ace up her sleeve and she was more than eager to keep it tucked away tight, her shoulders rolling back as she got into a more ready position, crouching down a little lower, the fingertips of her left hand touching the floor, flowing down from her center of gravity as she faced Feng side on, a smirk subtly creeping up her lips. “If you insist…” Her muscles tensed, and her body burned with electrical energy, a blue sheen coating the entirety of her body as he burned over her skin and hair, her usual ponytail flicking up and down behind her like a bolt of lightning itself, tiny sparks flicking off the very tip as it slipped up and down in the air behind her. Arcs of electrical energy burned off the exposed skin points of her costume and scorched the ground around her in a subtle way, just slow streams of darkness and ash forming where she stood… Or. Well. Where she once stood. Her eyes shifted from Feng, flicking up, down, left, right, and she shot forward. In an instant sparks of electricity formed in the air ahead of her. Her body almost became a blur between them, pingballing between them like a bolt of electricity traveling along a sharply angled set of wires. Right in Feng’s face, she re-formed, having always been physical but the thicker coating of electricity fading. She reared back her right hand, holding a wide grin as a sphere of bundled energy coated her right palm. She always felt it put her at a disadvantage… but a part of her loved getting up close and personal!~ She threw her hand down to the ground, a burst of uncontrollable electricity burst from her hand and shot away from the ground in an explosive manner, arcing harmlessly off of Yumi herself while creating an eruption Feng would find herself forced to dodge. Yumi would kick back off the air the moment the attack went off, tendrels of electricity forcing her away from the ground and putting some distance between herself and Feng… at least to the best of her ability in what was bound to be a hectic fight!

F-Fast!
Feng would say as her body would move without her knowledge. This is what she asked for and by god she will live to both enjoy it and regret it. Seeing her speed this close was a sight to behold, it is a beautiful sight as she would immediately get into her face without a second to even waste. Working alongside her would have prepared her for this but she couldn't be any more wrong. She was holding back during all of those times and by god were those some fights. But basking in it was only going to get her hurt and she needed to move like NOW!.
Gotta Move Gotta Move Gotta Mov-
It was all she could say in her mind as she would be forced to dodge the blast of electricity that Yumi shot. Everything was happening so fast that her mind was reacting faster than her body and she thus nearly got hit. She would come back to her senses and she would make her body move out of the way and dodge it. It was by a hair but it was an explosive start to this sparring match for sure.
But there was a gap in between the two of them now and there was the starting line for a counter attack. She would land on the ground and get into a runner's stance and use her quirk to blast herself at Yumi at full speed. As the previous attack dissipated and left its mark on the ground. Her legs burst into flame mid air as she would already feel her blood burning up as she was going after her friend. She can't hold back now, she has to give it her all.
Yumi was in her sights as she would wind up for a flaming kick. Her eyes glowed brighter as she would fly at her at full speed. A smile would appear on her face as she remembered this feeling. The feeling of a fight on her hands and this was something she wanted to relish in forever. She thought she lost the joy during the incident but it was back stronger than ever as she would feel all of her rust that resided on her footwork vanish in an instant. She was motivated and by god she will do everything she will to see herself stronger!
7th Form:龍的閃光 Dragon's Flash!
She would yell out as she would increase her speed midair and shot herself like a bullet to land a red hot kick aimed at Yumi's torso.

From the look on Feng’s face she could tell the other student was holding nothing back… and she almost felt a little smug for it, even if she wouldn’t let it show. Yumi knew she had to keep a trick or two tucked tightly up her sleeve for the tournament if she really wanted to prove herself, and as such she needed to keep a trick or two back. In fact, she’d purposely not been carrying the gear Red made for her costume for that exact reason. All the same, she’d certainly be ready to give Feng a run for her money, and her golden eyes locked onto her fellow student the moment she got moving, grinning wide as she watched them rush towards her.
With Feng coming at her with what her writer assumed was a dynamic entry style flaming kick, Yumi felt a little more confident in her odds to handle it. While most people couldn’t shift momentum midair Yumi tended to have no such problem herself. She wasn’t too sure if it was something Feng suffered from herself but the odds were in Yumi’s favour as far as she could tell. While Feng put all of her force and momentum in a single line of attack Yumi just needed to unsubscribe from the Prometheus school of running away from things. Turning off the flight aspect of her quirk. She dropped to the ground and used the momentum of her fall to roll quickly to the side, watching Feng rocket past her, carrying that burning momentum she’d built behind her.
“On your six!”
Twisting on her heel, still in a low, crouched position, Yumi thrust her arm towards Feng from behind her now as her exposed fingertips sparked from her costume and a bolt of electricity arced from her palm. Yumi’d been working on how to channel her electrical output like this, and rather than a single bolt like a sci-fi shot, Yumi shot a full blown stream of electricity at full power. Feng still had potential room to dodge, but when the stream finally hit the wall, or feng herself, the other end would remain connected to Yumi’s hand, fully charging the shot from it’s source to it’s eventual target, Yumi’s grin ever present on her lips as she was more than ready to see what Feng would make of a much more simple ‘duck, roll, turn, shoot’ style of tactics. As flashy as they could be, sometimes a simple move was all you needed afterall.

"She dodged…"
Feng would snap out of her stupor as she saw Yumi fall to the ground and roll. The immediate thoughts going through her head is mostly dealing with how to change direction in midair. Her mind is going miles a second as she would miss her mark and fly past her that would leave her open to another large scale attack. But she was already committed to her trajectory and there wasn't much she can do that doesn't involve a last second maneuver that would be stupid to do.
…..
However it IS Yumi and she has enough power to shock her out in a few shots. So any decision that can save her ass would be best by default barring the injuries she would prolly get from it. But she has only one shot at this as she knows that Yumi is more a long range fighter than anything else. She isnt a slouch at close range but Feng's chances were better that she can deal with her up close and personal.
There was a window where she saw her charging up her shot with the sparks flying around her palms. It was fast and wasn't noticeable at first but it was barely enough to register that another blast was coming her way and its going to hurt if she doesn't think of something fast.
“SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT-”
Feng would use her free leg to quickly use her quirk again to quickly change her direction mid air and avoid the shot. However, she would hit the wall for a moment as she fell on her butt. But she would quickly get back up and started running at Yumi again but she had a trick up her sleeve just in case. She would take a regulate her breathing and place her focus on her target yet again and then activated her quirk in rapid succession in small bursts.
8th Form:閃步 Quickstep
She would start to dash side to side at Yumi as her glowing eyes left a slight light rail as she did. Gotta go full power and try every form she has thought up against her because all she wants is to go all out no matter what! Getting closer and closer, she would see several opportunities and openings in her stance to rush in and try for a strike. Her pace increased and she would go in without hesitation as she would aim several palm strikes at her torso, back, and legs.
1st Form :爆炸與火 Blast & Fire
She would chain together both techniques she made in tandem as this was the first actual time she did it before. But against Yumi, she just wanted to show what she can do against her sheer power. It is going to end in her loss but she wants to know and see what she needs to improve in herself. Hit and Rush is going to be her best friend in this battle because god damn she needs to use every single advantage she has on her since she out speeds her and out ranges her.

So she could move in midair? Good to know. Yumi had a more powerful smile as she started to take in everything she could about Feng’s tactics to make sure she could use it if they had to have a more serious bout against one another. In this moment perhaps she was still just having a more general sense of fun with the whole thing but in the back of her mind she’d be taking in what she could. I mean hey, what kind of hero didn’t look for every advantage they could have over a potential villain? …n-not to say Feng would ever turn evil, more just, when the students thought they had to see eachother as a villain was all. Helped justify the combat training… Back on her feet as Feng continued to use her skills and techniques to try and maintain some sort of edge, Yumi dipped left and right, a spark flowing off of her body in either direction and as Feng came back in towards her, striking out with her palms, Yumi would follow the opposite spark to the way she was leaning to throw Feng off balance, darting in the other direction, traveling along her self made ‘wires’ once again and putting some distance between her and Feng. Like Darren she seemed to be realizing she needed to get up close and personal to even the playing field between them, which just meant Yumi had to try all the harder to make her feel on edge, constantly trying to catch up to her as she darted about the battlefield. “Ya know usually throwing your arms out like that helps when your opponents in arm’s reach!~” She’d tease and chuckle, landing on her feet as he sudden dart of motion started to lose it’s momentum. Wanting to keep Feng on her feet, Yumi herself started throwing her hands forward, fingers out in a more ‘claw’ like state than Feng’s own palm strikes with a yell of. “Maybe try it more like this!~” Now Yumi knew Feng didn’t have her own powerset but that didn’t make the tease make any less sense, rapidly thrusting her arms back and forth like rapid fire attacks, bolts of electricity firing off of each thrust and arcing about in the air, a practical tsunami of small individual bolting sparks firing across the room, coating a good portion of Feng’s view. There’s be room to dodge of course as the bolts got further and further apart the further they got from Yumi, but Feng would definitely find it hard to advance… TLDR As I understood you came in with palm strikes Dodged with Speed Rapid fire, non-aimed shots

"Well now Is she is noted as being the fastest now"
Frustration would start to build up in Feng as she would keep swinging and missing as Yumi dodged her strikes. Swing and a miss is all that echoed in her head as she dodged the rush as she would use her position threw her off a slight bit. Part of her is angry that she is barely keeping up, but another is somewhat glad that she is getting outpaced as the reality of the situation is that she needs to try way harder than was doing before.
But as she would do this, she would take notes on how she moved. How she floated on those tethers she made and how she utilized her speed. All of it made her jealous as she couldn't even hope to reach her pace. But she still had to try and try again to see if she can get a hit in.
However Yumis response to Fengs strikes were a bit more simple as she made electric claws and started to throw hits of her own. Thus she had to stop her rush down and focus on not getting hit by the damn things, she can dodge them no problem but her speed made it difficult to ascertain where they were going to land. Can’t even grab onto her wrists and throw due to the claws and being ELECTRICITY.
‘How am I supposed to physically do that when you can make energy claws, Yumi!”, She would retort in turn as she would dodge the claws. It was manageable to a point up where she was flying in the air.
..and started blasting a volley of lightning blasts her way. It was practically a storm of volleys that was coming Feng's way and she couldn't even hope to try and block any of them. Hell, even eating one of those would result in a bad hair day for a week . She had to move and she had to move quickly as they were coming in fast and hard. Panic was a thought far from her mind as she would dart in all the matter of directions to avoid getting fried by the shots. They were not aimed at her which were the saving grace but it made the direct approach almost impossible unless she wants to walk into the equivalent of a walking dynamo.
Which is TERRIBLE due to her fighting style being more close combat oriented. However she had other tricks up her sleeves just in case. Incidents be damned, she had a few new tricks she remembered recently and had been meaning to try them. Most of the remembered style matches DT so it made it easier to incorporate its movements into her own.
“Ok, Feng just remember the beat and feel the flames moving forward”, she would tell herself as she was going to do something woefully stupid.
Spring-Loaded EXTEND!
The springs on her legs would obviously elongate as she would ignite them once more. Using fire to block the hits wouldn't help her in this situation so might as well shoot her own shots to see if they would land. She would take aim as she would keep dodging the hits, slowly getting into range. Once at a decent range, she would start kicking like mad.
6th Form:火山力量 Burning Drive!
As she kicked the air, fireballs and fire waves would start to fly from her legs as she would aim them at Yumi, she was planning on saving this for the tournament but she had never tested it before this so might as well show it off now.
TLDR -Frustration and Fun feelings -Whiffing many hits and reacting -Dodging the storm but realize she cant go in -Uses more techniques to try and get em from range

“Energy cla-?” Yumi tried to get out as a question, wondering what the hell she meant by that when that was distinctively NOT one of the things she could pull off with how she produced her electricity, but she gave an idle, barely visible shrug given how fast it had to be before she got her head back in the game and continued with her volley. Maybe Feng had seen something different through the barrage of electricity but now wasn’t the time to question that. I mean Feng was in good shape it wasn’t like she was hallucinating this early into the battle.
This volley practice wasn’t something she could keep up forever but it was a tactic that, as silly as you could argue it was, that Yumi loved to fall back on. With the speed she was throwing out the shots accuracy was a no go but it meant her opponents had a hard time getting in close without subjecting themselves to more shots. For Agile opponents like Feng or Darren there was still a possibility there but all the same Yumi was eager every time to see how they’d hold up against it. In Feng’s case she was focusing on keeping her distance, so she was extra curious to see how she’d plan to finally bypass this pseudo barrier between them.
She saw a flicker of red through the mess of her own attacks, and slices of firey heat were barrelling towards her. Meta-physical stuff like fire and electricity hardly had any power to stop eachother so Yumi abandoned her barrage and swiftly dipped to the side, almost matrix-esque as one of the slices of heat whent swooshing past her face, looking back to Feng with a look of alarm but also certainly an impressed smirk. Her own barrage had ended and with Feng’s kicks it looked like the others had just begun.
A spark left, a spark right, Yumi continued to follow her own self generated wires of electricity, zipping and zapping around to try and keep Feng on her toes and see how well she could keep up some consistant accuracy, a smile on her face all the while. “Come on Feng! Can’t even land a shot when I’m on the defensive?~” Of course, it was just some playful teasing and that would always be clear in Yumi’s tone, unlike say, Darren, who’s every word felt like a genuine, hard hitting criticism of your performance.

Perhaps the heat attacks had the unintended effect of causing her to see things as she swore she saw claws but it was all a trick to the eye. Blinking a few times to realize that wasn't the case, causing her to lose track of Yumi for a moment before she took another shot at her. She quickly snapped out of it and did her best to reply as she continued her blasts.
“That was your defensive!? Then what's your offensive?!”, Feng would retort as she would continue her volley of flames based attacks.
It was a fire fight between the two of them at this rate as both would dance around each other's shots...Well one is dancing the other is more or less trying to get her cornered. A part of her starts to realize that she should be doing more of this in her own fights instead of jumping into the fray. But the gap in power remained ever present as each shot was thrown. Never actually getting a good shot on her. She needed to get in and she knew a few things can possibly help..but she also needs to keep in mind the walls of the arena and her own speed.
Feng would slow down her volley as she would take aim at Yumi. Her eyes could see her but actually landing a hit is going to be tricky with what she has seen so far. But she was determined nonetheless as she would dodge a few more shots from Yumi and took an odd stance.Taking a few deep breaths and recalled a few stances from wushu, she would take a mantis stance. Her eyes glowed bright as she had the idea to mix all of her ideas into something new. Her training from when she was a kid, her new fighting style she taught herself and style that she remembered during the Tao incident. All of it combined into connected and made something new in her head. It was haphazardly thought up and had no name or proper training to it. It could fail the moment she messes up, but god dammit she wants to see where this goes and try it against her friend. Her eyes would lock onto Yumi and she would activate her quick to launch herself at her at full speed. She would visualize both forms and mix them to recreate the image in her mind.
4th Form:山跳 Mountain Jump & 9th Form:神龍 Divine Dragon
She would spin in mid air as she would activate the fire in her legs yet again to turn herself into a flaming projectile that would hopefully graze her sparring partner at most. However the spin did cause her to get a slight bit dizzy but she would deal with that after.
Right now she found a new road to tread that would hopefully help her find what she was craving. She is enjoying the hell out of this fight with Yumi but the first goal is to see if she can get any stronger. If creating a third stance is going to help her achieve this goal then possibly she has finally found the answer she wanted.

Feng seemed to be getting a little frustrated. Maybe Yumi shooould give her a little room to get a shot in but that wasn’t what she’d been asking for when they first requested training.. nah. Maybe another day she’d pull back a little but she wanted to respect Feng and give the girl what she was asking for, her amber eyes keeping focused on the flaming legs of her opponent, trying to read what she could out of her motions and take in enough to predict the next. She was hardly anything close to an expert but she could get something here or there that helped her determine her own next move…
Of course, she hardly expected the burning frizbee of death.
With Feng spinning around herself till she was a mini-cyclone of fire, Yumi’s eyes turned wide and she was stunned enough by the tactic she froze for just a second, jumping back and trying to burst her speed skyward to get over the attack as it came launching towards her, the edge of the spinning attack just barely managing to catch her heel, bringing a small hiss from Yumi as her momentum flipped in the air, trying to stabilize herself right after with the flight of her quirk and looking down towards Feng as she lingered closer to the ground, scoffing a little as she held a slightly impressed tone. “Damn… getting faster there Feng…~”
==== Later ====
Of course, the training couldn’t go on forever, even if it did last a damn good while. Yumi still tried to keep some tricks up her sleeve the whole while, wanting to make sure she had something in the bag for the tournament if she needed it. Plus, they couldn’t go forever just sheerly in terms of their own stamina or heck other people wanting to use the training facilities. Yumi had left Feng to recover in one of the changing rooms while she went to grab them each a snack from the festival, coming back with two sticks of cotton candy pinched between her knuckles and some small trays with salt and pepper shu-mais. Funnily enough the festival seemed to have more foreign food than british food. Seemed to be a weird habit of theirs…
Coming back to Feng, she’d offer the girl a warm smile and offer across the shu-mai’s first. “Here, got you these to fuel up and then er… some cotton candy for desert. You feelin’ okay? Caught your breath?”

Feng felt like the hit didn't even graze her so she would continue on her forward momentum until she would stop spinning. ‘Looks like I need to get faster if I want to catch up to her’, She would change direction again mid air to set her sights on Yumi who was near the ground.
However it was easier said than done as she would change the momentum of her attack into a dash in the air. Her control in the air is skilled but this was the first time she had to do something like this. She would remember the internship and her peers who can do this same thing. It would take a few moments for her to stabilize her position in mid air before she would continue her rush.’Those damn tethers are getting really annoying to deal with’, she would say as she would blast herself at the lightning bathed opponent.
“I can get even faster than that!”, She would exclaim as she would rush at her with flames trailing behind her.
=============Time Skip======================
Training concluded with a decisive victory to Yumi as Feng couldn't get a single hit on her throughout the entire session. Her body ached everywhere as each movement screamed out in pain. In contrast to Yumi who was still up and about, she has half a mind to think that its impossible to even catch up to her. Its both awe inspiring and surely disheartening in comparison to her own abilities. ‘Dammit.Dammit.Dammit. I couldn't get a single hit on her. Dammit Dammi-’ she would repeat in her mind as she would stare at the ceiling as she laid down on her back. Her expression is conflicted as she was feeling a mix of joy, anger, and exhaustion.
Yumi would indeed come back for some snacks and would offer some shu-mai. She would gladly take it. But she would do her best to hide the pain expression on her face as she would bite into the tasty treat. Taking her time to chew and swallow before replying to Yumi.
“My entire body is in pain with how much effort I had to put in to keep your level of speed. Other than that, I feel great in terms of knowing where I am in terms of strength. Though in hindsight, that was the most one-sided sparring session I have ever experienced in a while...My legs feel like noodles...”, she would answer in a light hearted tone but with a tinge of annoyance at the difference in power.

Yumi pulled up to sit beside Feng, resting the tray of shu-mais in her lap and putting some drinks and other snacks between them as she casually dug in. It had definitely been a draining session even if she hadn’t taken much personal damage, but she’d gone a liiiiittle easier on her attacks so that she didn’t ‘take Feng out’ so to speak so she hoped the girl wasn’t feeling too rundown either. Of course, when she started to speak, Yumi realized she was aching all the same, leading to her feeling a twinge of guilt for running her around like that.
“Well that isn’t so different from how I feel when I really have to push myself with my cardio and that. I have my quirk to thank for a lot of the power gap I’m starting to experience afterall. I mean… If I didn’t have it I’d just be pretty average right? You’d outpace me by a mile with the training you put in. All my own training is so specialized that the moment I lose my quirk I can barely hold my own. Ya know?” She shrugged idly, hoping trying to pin some of her success on just the luck of the draw with her quirk might make Feng feel better.

“There's only so much training I can do before I reach that upper limit, ya know? ” Feng retorts as she sat up with an obviously pained expression on her face. Taking another bite of the shu-mai, she would continue to eat.”... and you’re the last person I expected to call yourself average. You're possibly the strongest in the school and that's not something that I can shrug off.The amount of juice you put out would take out the opponent long before you run out of charge... I don't have any of that...I just know how to fight and even then...I get outpaced easily if I slack…”, she expresses while wearing a rather melancholic look on her face.
“I didn't mean to be such a downer...but I’m just...tired of falling behind. Everyone else seems to be getting stronger and I get the feeling I’m reaching my upper limit on what I can do...It’s disheartening to say the least..”, She stares at floors with half a Shu-Mai in hand. Her heart just didn't feel right about the truth of the situation. Envy is an emotion that she knows all too well and it was brewing yet again as she thought about her classmates. Each and every single one of them knows what they want to do and here is Feng with no specialized talents. She can’t hack, she can’t tinker and she can’t exactly choose the right words to say at times. All she was in her core is a girl who only wants to do whats right.
But she would shake those thoughts out as she tries to move past the subject to something a little less heavy. She attempted to move in her seat but her legs would not move an inch, they were numb and limp. “...Yumi. I think my legs fell asleep. I don't think I can move for a bit..”

“I dunno I mean… “ She began as Feng said something about reaching an upper limit, nibbling into her lunch and thinking on how to word this for a moment. With quirks there was definitely a luck of the draw aspect but- “I dunno what it is about quirks, but when I looked into it you’d be surprised how many of them come with secondary mutation levels? That’s probably not the scientific term for it but you know what I Mean, quirks that suddenly get super strong once they’re pushed to their limit. Maybe you have one of those, maybe you don’t, but you’re still WAY more capable than most criminals who don’t have quirks, or heck, even those that do, but aren’t trained in them.~” She’d chuckle a little more as Feng didn’t expect her to call herself average.
“I’m average without my costume. Heck probably less than average.” A white lie, even she knew she was more trained than the average person even without her quirk, but for the most part she still lacked behind most of her peers physically. If they ALL lost their quirks, in the school, she’d probably be below average then. Anyway- “Look at the end of the day your comparing yourself to OTHER professional heroes, when you should be comparing yourself to the criminals your gonna be kicking the crap out of. When you look at it like that, you’ve got a huge advantage. Even if you’re the middle of this pack, you’re still a lion.”
She paused. Then giggled.
“God I almost make the worst analogies…”
When Feng pointed out that she couldn’t move her legs, Yumi couldn’t help but let out a snort of a snicker and shake her head as she lifted her food off her lap, patting her gently in Feng’s view. “You wanna lay down your head for a bit so your head can catch up on the nap? I don’t mind o’course.~”
