Maybe she had been stupid or maybe she had to be more clear, maybe she just kept ruining every day that was around Christmas and this was getting to be worse around new years, maybe she should convince her mom to give her a ticket and fly after her to England because this was worse. She was so unsure of herself that she wasn't even sure where to start. Maybe she was stupid, pathetic it was horrible. she never thought she would fall this low but she even asked for Sean to come by if he had the time and he wondered if Tsuchiya-san would stop him or make sure he could come. It would be nice to come here for Christmas, it wasn't weird for him to be here then right. Surely, she was just simply in the wrong place of her life. Maybe she was doing everything wrong, maybe she should have asked what everyone was wearing last year as her dress might be extravagant and worse and she wasn't sure if she had done it right and surely Sean wouldn't show up and she would have to avoid others and god this was horrible. Everything was horrible and the fact that she was wearing a very expensive dress that was too much did not make it better. She was sure that there was more extravagant stuff around but she should feel fine, she should be happy that she could be here and that she had a great second year. She was grateful that she got her body back in a way, that she trained, got better, she still had not learned how to control her quirk so she should be careful as she was close to deciding to get punch. She looked at the punch bowl and worried if she should even get some. She brushed her long hair away from her eyes. She had done way too much effort into this whole thing and she was ruining it now. She was literally shaking and all, this was ridiculous she should calm down. She almost considered walking out. She put the empty cup down again and decided to get out of here. She would have to do something about her own mood, maybe she should go home, even if no one was there, maybe her dad. Maybe she should call her uncle and cousins but she had not seen them in a while. It was definitely the worst Christmas ever and she had a hope bad ones before.

Oh jeez, it had been way too long! So many months since Sean had last been to UA. It still saddened him that the loss of his quirk meant the end of his time here in this school. But hey, it wasn't all bad. At least he was back from his coma. At least he could see the school and the wonderful familiar faces, as well as the numerous new ones. He was so happy to be able to be allowed to visit the school. But of course, Sean was not here just to reminisce about old times. He was here for one very important reason. One that could be summed up in two lovely words. Rowan Sakamoto. Ever since he woke up at the hospital, the boy began to realize that he just could not stop thinking about her. Especially considering how her visit at his hospital room ended. Just thinking about it was enough to turn the boy's face red. Despite losing his quirk, it seemed that Sean had gained something else in exchange. The accident proved to be an effective wake-up call. The boy was no longer anywhere near as blissfully oblivious as he used to be. He was aware that he was beginning to think of Rowan as more than just a really good friend. He was not foolish enough to not know what thinking about a certain person all the time meant. He was aware of just how happier he seemed to be in her presence. Which could all of course mean one thing... So when Rowan invited him for a dance, no force in the world would have ever been enough for the boy to ever consider saying anything other than 'heck yes'. With Sean being the chill and relaxed person that he was, he would not have to worry too much about what would be the best thing to wear for the dance. He just grabbed his best formal suit and hoped that Rowan would like it well enough. With a cheerful smile, Sean headed off, smiling as he saw the familiar UA building. "Ah, good to be back, even if just for this one time." Resisting the urge to tear up at all the good memories, Sean made his way to the front to get his visitor's pass. And once he explained why he was here and asked where the dance was, Sean quickly made his way there, not wanting to keep Rowan waiting. Eventually, he made his way to her. "Hey Ro- oh man!" Sean's mouth dropped wide open in shock. "Woah, you look beautiful!" He then smiled. "Well, even more so than you already are, I mean." He chuckled nervously as he blushed a bit. He hoped he wasn't going overboard with the compliments. But she really did look amazing! "Shall we dance, madam?" Obviously, Sean had never done this kind of thing before. Being all gentlemanly, asking someone for a dance, actually dancing. Thankfully, Sean wasn't clumsy, but he was still not very good. But hey, who cared about dancing well or poorly? As long as Rowan was having a fun time, as long as she was happy, it was all good. WC 533

Yumi didn't have anyone to go with to the dance. Ever since the Kirk incident she'd been kinda having to re-learn who her friends where, and she was pretty sure anyone who was more friend than just 'passing buddy' wasn't going to be at the dance, leaving Yumi feeling a little awkward on the dance floor as she stepped along the open hall that was being used for the dance. Still, it was a nice environment. Very good food, no reason to really be letting herself get in a down mood. Besides, even if she ended up dancing alone, she had something worked out to keep things interesting for herself. Best to just...find a quiet side of the hall for now, spot someone she knew, and see what she could make of the day. With the fluffy fabric of her self made costume feeling surprisingly light on her frame, she'd spin idly around her own feet as her amber eyes crossed the audience about her, finally spotting a face she recognized in the form of Rowan, a bright smile crossing her features as she thought to head down and see what they could make of eachother's company. It was only a few steps in when a face she less than expected arrived on the scene. "SEAN!?" Yumi called out a little louder than she expected, possibly getting the attention of the two before her and blushing deeply at just how loud she'd been, covering her mouth quickly as if to silence the accidental yell that had already escaped her, glancing about as she at least caught a few other eyes in the midst of a quiet moment of the current song, and hurriedly closed in on Rowan and Sean, perhaps still a little oblivious in her nature as she didn't realize what she might be interupting. "H-heeey Rowan. Sean. Sorry for yelling your name there but...god I just didn't expect to see you! I heard you like dropped out like...what, half a year ago? What brings you back?" She blushed a little again and rubbed the back of her neck, being as awkward as ever as she let out a nervous chuckle. "N-not that it's not great to see you here! Of course it is! I mean it's been ages and I...I..." She looked between the two as they'd been facing eachother, rubbing her hands together nervously. "...I... interupted something, didn't I?" OUTFIT

Yasashi had never actually been to a dance. His mother had taught him a little about how to go through the motions when he was a boy but beyond that he was about as skilled in this sort of thing as a fish was with breathing air. Even so, he couldn't resist the opportunity to be with other people and to see more smiling faces, especially during this holiday season. It meant so much to him. So here he was, walking into the open hall decorated in such a blatantly romantic way he couldn't help but mistake it for the atmosphere that he'd read about in so many of his novels. He flushed a bit, thinking of his romance novels and put it at the back of his mind. He was just there to see friends, that was all.
That was all.
Yasashi stopped at one of the tables, he towered over the other students and his suit was tailored to fit his enormous frame. It had to be, his body was so massive and dense it was impossible to find something that fit just right. He rubbed the back of his head when two students walked by and smiled at him, one of them greeting him as "Disciplinary Committee-san" he shouldn't have been surprised but it was a little disconcerting. He stopped in place when he heard a shout and turned, expecting a fight but instead saw his friend Yumi going over to meet a couple on the far side. His eyes widened when she saw her stop short, he wanted to open his mouth to warn her but it was just a little too late.
He rubbed his arm, what the hell did he do? He swallowed his nerves and began to make his way toward them, forcing a smile onto his face; maybe he could help somehow? | TAG WORDS NOTES

Tip tap tip tap. The sound of light metallic steps echoed in the hall as the only robotic inhabitant of the campus weaseled around people towards a control panel. Yusaku was kinda different that night. First, he was going around looking like a sleek rabbit instead of his usual slightly chubby cat look. Second, he was completely white from head to toe, barring of course any of his internal lights and displays. Those where a nice bright cyan color. Like always, the ony thing that never changed was his long tail he would curl up behind him to instead mimick a rabbit's short bun tail.
For the people there that knew him, he was kinda embarassed and shying away from the limelight. He would set up besides the control panel and control that everything would be fine...most probably to make himself look busy. Once he was sure people were not looking at him, he squatted down near the wall and simply observed people as they conversed and had fun.
He had never frequented any kind of ballet thingy but he knew that going alone kinda put you into the loser's shoes so he thought he would just check out how things where for a while before leaving. If anyone asked him anything, he would simply say he was there to check on electronics, despite his current metallic frame being...quite elegant compared to his normal.

Post by Farrah di Prima on Dec 27, 2019 1:42:28 GMT -4
Farrah had arrived to Angel's Christmas party with uncharacteristic punctuality. Of course, after getting her fill of dancing, snacks, and fun... she'd double-booked, and now had to dash her way across campus to the next one. "So many dances! My word, my word! To navigate this Christmas, I need wings like a bird!" she thought to herself, fiercely buttoning up her black top coat against the cold. The dress she'd bought was cute... but very, very poorly suited to the cold. To run out into the snow without it would be not quite a death sentence, but at the very least, a near certain way to start running a fever.
Armored against the cold with her coat and scarf, Farrah trudged in, breathing hard from the combination of speed and exertion. This time, she was decidedly not the first guest to arrive. "Huff... huff... I was... quick... enough!" she applauded herself all the same; the dancing hadn't really started, which meant that she was on-time, by any socialite's measure! It seemed the air was already thick with the kind of spicy stuff one attended a dance to see: namely, the blushing trio of Rowan, Yumi, and a cute boy she didn't think she recognized were all so absorbed in their conversation that she didn't think she could attract their attention just by bursting into the room in trademark Farrah fashion.
Speaking of trademark Farrah fashion, she removed her coat and scarf once again, unveiling her odd combination of white flapper dress, black sash bow, white pump boots, and silver chain necklaces, the likes of which would be hard to find in any modern apparel catalogue. It wasn't hand-made like Yumi's or ritzy like Rowan's... it wasn't dance appropriate... actually... why had she picked this out? Calling it a whim or a spontaneous flight of fancy would be about on the mark.
Farrah soon realized that this dance was actually a bit differently themed than the other one... it seemed like this was probably the kind of dance where you pick a partner and slow dance, rather than spinning around the hall. Farrah ought to adjust her energy accordingly, but it remained to be seen if she could manage that. Rather than that, the young poet was pondering her own relationship status. That status: off the table. Her mother's stern talking too still rang in her ears and she knew that she still couldn't afford to put the ol' Farrah charm on anybody until she showed she had what it took to be a hero and a good student first.
Yasahi was unfamiliar to her, but his size and physique was immediately impressive. A natural-born hero, by the looks of it! She sometimes wished she had such a statuesque build so that she could join the fighting class of heroes... but whenever she expressed that desire, people tended to look at her funny. She supposed she understood. After all, having muscles and throwing a punch were two different things, and the latter was especially difficult for her. She wondered if the stranger was the punching type.
Next in was an actual, honest-to-goodness robot, whom she'd heard about but never managed to run across before. Farrah marveled, both at the sight itself and at the sheer variety of people that UA attracted, not just in general, but assembled at this very dance. This truly was a place where she could be herself without being an odd girl out... well, not quite. She still tended to be the odd one in any assembly. But it wasn't such a bad thing here!
She waved at Rowan but otherwise stayed out of it for now. The air over there looked so thick and steamy you could eat it like a meatloaf... or cut it with a knife. However the expression went. For now, there were others she needed to introduce herself to. She triangulated the perfect angle with which to address both Yasahi and Yusaku, then performed a short-start powerslide towards them, her dress flapping around her thighs as she did. "I don't know your names, but I'm eager to learn! I'm Farrah di Prima, and my curiosity burns!" she introduced herself, throwing both hands into the air. It was as if she'd already started dancing the moment she'd stepped inside. Yusaku wouldn't escape her attention and manage to be a wallflower, as those were the exact sort of folks she made it her mission to entertain.

Yes, she should go, tell Tsuchiya-sensei she was leaving so she could stop Sean and... her heart made an abrupt jump when she noticed him and the blush on her face was ten times worse than the one from this morning. "H-hi." AGAIN? She pulled a little on her dress as he stopped actually in his own interruption and the look on her face said everything but comfort. The thing was that she was absolutely happy that he was here and that she suddenly felt a little more calm as well as that she considered staying now that Sean had arrived. She blushed a little and looked at her feet, his compliment did maybe achieve two small things but you could consider them big. For starters: she stopped tugging her dress, instead, she brushed her hair behind her ears. And even if she looked at her feet, you could see that right now she was smiling. But the compliment didn't stop at just calling her beautiful (in a dress that she should have not bought this way) but that he meant more than normal and she looked up shortly, not really understanding what it meant, did he find her beautiful? Everything? Her strange colour changing eyes, the scar above her lip? Everything but that only made her blush more and she shortly closed her eyes as she tried to calm down on the weird but also nice sense that coursed through her brain. "Thank you, I really like your suit it ehm suits you." Her words were definitely not the best factor, time to go back to Mosa's class for a course of how to speak to the opposite gender or something.
When he asked her to dance, she quickly nodded, extending her hand to take his when she heard his name sort of echoing between the walls and she almost fell over but managed to hold on to his hand and stay upright when she turned her head to stare at the redhead that quickly came towards them. "Oh Yumi." Why was she disappointed? Yumi was nice? She did not have issues with the 2-C student but there was this strange feeling that she did not understand and she gave a half-hearted wave to Yumi when she was greeted. As Yumi asked about Sean dropping out, Rowan was worried, she did not want to remind him of his coma or his quirklessness and thus she looked up which made her eyes widen as she noticed she was basically standing directly in his arms as she so had clumsily tumbled in. She quickly took a step aside and hid her bright red face by looking in the exact opposite direction of where Sean stood for her, though her hand still bumped into his. Right, she left the conversation to Sean. "Oh, no, no you didn't." Come on make a joke or something Rowan, to make the situation less bad, "I cannot assume I can keep Sean to myself all night." What was that... seriously just shut up. Hopefully, no one heard that as Farrah waved at her and she noticed two others, one she did not know and the other one was Izumi-kun from 2-B right? Well that was fine, she quickly turned to Yumi, maybe Yumi could help! Right?

Seeing Rowan's smile, hearing her voice, seeing her blush, Sean could not help but blush a bit too. He smiled, chuckling a bit at that little pun Rowan made. Was it intentional, or just coincidence? Either way, Sean liked it. "Thanks! I spent all day at that store to make sure I got the perfect suit. I'm glad you like it!" His face lit up with enthusiasm as he took Rowan's hand. But the boy also began to feel a bit nervous. Okay Sean, you can do this. Just a nice, slow dance. How hard can that be?
But before he could find out, he heard a familiar voice call out to him. Soon, Sean noticed a friendly familiar face approaching him and Rowan. "Yumi?" Sean was surprised. Not by Yumi's appearance, but by how... upset he suddenly felt. This was weird. Normally, the boy would be beyond cheerful to see a friendly face after such a long time. Did this disappointment come from the fact that his dance with Rowan got interrupted? In any case, Sean quickly began to smile cheerfully, feeling bad that he was not more enthusiastic to see Yumi.
"Hey! Great to see you again, Yumi! It's been way too long! How's it going?" Despite the tiny lingering feeling of disappointment of having the dance with Rowan cut short before it could even begin, Sean genuinely was glad to see Yumi again. "Y-yeah, about that..." Sean chuckled nervously. How was he going to explain the car accident that had left him in a comatose state, or the part where he no longer had a quirk? Okay, so maybe it wasn't that difficult, but Sean did not want to ruin the good mood of the place. It was Christmas, after all! This was no time to be gloomy!
"It's a long story, and it's not really a happy one. Well the ending is, but everything else not so much. I don't mind telling you the full story sometime, but I'm not sure now's the best time. Don't wanna upset people. But long story short, I unfortunately won't be able to come back to UA as a student. I'm just here to have a good time on the dance floor with Ro-"
But then Yumi asked if she was interrupting something, to which Sean responded by suddenly blushing a lot as he looked at Rowan and the fact that he was still holding her hand. He didn't need to say anything. Just seeing his reaction would make it pretty clear to Yumi exactly why Sean was here. He did smile upon hearing Rowan's words. "I mean to be honest, I wouldn't mind that." He mumbled it, but it was probably just loud enough for Rowan and Yumi to hear him.
Sean then noticed more people approaching. This time, he did not recognize them. Were they first-year students, ones who joined the school while Sean was gone? Or were they second-years that he never got the chance to interact with yet? Sean did not have the best memory, so he was unsure if these students were new or familiar faces. Not that he had a problem with anyone. The more the merrier! It wasn't like he couldn't chat with the students and also get to dance with Rowan, right?
Sean greeted the students in his usual smile and wave fashion. "Yo! How's it going?" First was a tall and buff guy. Pretty nice. Sean wondered if this guy visited the gym pretty often. Second was a robot. An actual robot. How awesome was that? And third was a girl who upon speaking, made a pretty nice rhyme. Sean wished he could do those on a dime. After hearing the girl, whose name was Farrah, introduce herself, Sean smiled as he did the same. "I'm Sean. Sean Mizushima. Nice to meet you!"
With a smile, he then turned his attention to Rowan, wondering if she was okay with chatting with the students, or if she wanted to head elsewhere. Sean did not mind either option. Chatting with others was fun! But he also wanted to spend time with Rowan, make sure she was happy. Well, the dance was only just getting started, so surely there would be plenty of time to do both.

Yumi pulled back just a little when it became more evident she was infact interrupting something, and with Sean hinting at the fact something had happened that meant he wouldn’t be coming back as a student, Yumi suddenly lost a lot of urge to be crowding about the two of them… she had to say though, the blush they each had was kinda cute. “Oh don’t worry about it. I mean a lot of crap’s been going on over the past year for me too so… I’ll save you telling me your gory details, you save me telling you mine.” She’d gave a playful wink as if they were each doing one another a favour, before turning her eyes to follow Sean’s eyes to the others that seemed to be joining in the general crowd.
Yasashi was the first face to be spotted and, almost as ever, he seemed oddly lacking in confidence for a man his size. Yumi would offer him a warm smile and gesture for him to step over towards her, but step away from Sean and Rowan, ultimately still part of their largening ‘group’. She’d tip her head to the side giving him a curious look as if questioning without words why he’d come out if he was looking a little out of place. “Well Yasashi, good to have you here tonight. Enjoying the gentle Christmas music?~” She’d stick out her tongue with a playful expression, hoping to chipper him up a bit as Sean made his own introductions to the arrivals.
As Yusaku came up… Yumi’s expression briefly dipped, but only because of their recent interactions. Breaking up with someone was never easy even if it was amicable, and while the desire to be friends could always be well intentioned, pulling it off in practice wasn’t necessarily so easy. She’d adjust the shoulders of her outfit, the little cowl like shoulder covers to make sure it rested nice on her shoulders before dipping her head in the robot’s direction. “Heeeey Yusaku… see you made it out tonight too.~” She’d smile, though with a twinge of awkwardness in her voice, rubbing at the back of her neck.
Farrah wasn’t such a familiar face, leaving Yumi with two direct interactions, one with Rowan, the other at the sentai show. Both had left Yumi with a pretty good impression of her in their own weird way in each case. “Good to see you too Farrah.~ Still slipping out those slick rhymes I see.”

There were so many people, the atmosphere was so different from what he was accustomed. It was like a whole different world compared to the one he had known before. What then, could he have possibly said to anyone? He seemed so out of place, massive as he was. Some looked at him like a thug that had walked in off the street. Others regarded him with a bit more mirth; after all, his reputation was improving in some circles. Still more resented him, his early reputation tied with his experience as a member of the Disciplinary Committee made him a bit of a target. A very large, muscular target.
Yasashi looked up when the blonde girl approached, her dark clothing making her stand out a bit like himself; Farrah? He'd heard of her! He turned and extended a shovel sized hand in greeting; "Farrah! Taka Yasashi! Nice to meet you!" He guffawed, the rhyme she offered brought a smile to his face. Now that he thought about it; she had the look of a poet about her. Maybe it was her presence? He brightened regardless; only to be drawn away by a smaller voice. He turned to see Yumi approach him. He turned her way and scratched the back of his head, feeling a little guilty about having not swooped in to pull her out of an awkward conversation.
"Thank you Yumi," Yasashi said, his expression relaxing; he looked up a bit to listen to the music; "Yes, it's soothing," He said before looking down at her, her chipper tone infectious. His shoulder muscles relaxed completely and he broke into a wide smile. He was surprised to see someone he didn't know from the student body with Rowan sempai. He greeted everyone, Sean. Yasashi extended a hand to offer a shake before breaking into his own smile; "Taka Yasashi! BA ha ha!" He restrained his usually explosive laugh to a jolly one. "Welcome to Yuuei from the Disciplinary Committee!" | TAG WORDS NOTES

Farrah was the type who could watch two cuties flirt for hours and not get disappointed by it, but she wasn't the type who'd be particularly good at staying out of their business the whole time they did it. As such, she returned Sean's greeting with a hearty wave of her own. "It's always good to meet fellow students! Making friends is not just fun, but prudent," she nodded with satisfaction, though it was actually not clear to her if he was, in fact, a student. It was really just an assumption on her part, since the guy seemed to be on more-than-chummy terms with Rowan.
She turned to Yumi, placing one hand on her hip and making a two-finger salute with the other one, tipping her cap just slightly. "Yumi, we always seem to run into each other! But our encounters are so fun, I always hope for another!" she greeted her peer. "Fu fu fu fu... You'll never catch me without one. A poet's work is never done!" Farrah chuckled slyly, now placing both hands at her hips proudly.
Though she didn't have much luck engaging with Yusaku, she did find that the new boy was receptive enough. "Ah, yes, yes. My cold bones are soothed. I'll reserve my energy to bust a move! Once the party builds up heat, you'll see me write poetry with my feet!" It was a bizarre image; one had to imagine she was referring to her dancing by way of metaphor. Literally writing poetry with her feet... It wasn't impossible to imagine the weird girl had such a talent, but one also had to hope she wouldn't bust it out in a party setting.
The boy went on to introduce himself to Sean as a member of the disciplinary committee. "Ah, yes, the their exploits are legendary! Those of the Committee, Disciplinary!" Farrah gasped. She'd been warned by teachers a couple of times not to use her quirk in unwarranted situations, but so far she'd been blessed enough not to get on the bad side of the disciplinary committee. Maybe they had worse infractions to deal with than her trademark goofiness. At any rate, it wasn't too hard to see the guy fitting in with such a committee: he looked big and imposing. If they were all seated around a table, he'd look like the muscle. But then, he didn't seem standoffish or anything; there was no reason to typecast him.
At any rate, Farrah wanted to dance, but right now, the music was poppy and Christmasy. It felt like the only ones who could dance to this were lovers. She recalled for the second time how breaking up with Angel had made events like this a bit awkward... she had no one to dance with... and finding someone new appropriate to dance with was essentially forbidden to her. All she could do for now was hum along with the music as much as she could, pick up her fists in a weird motion that looked a little like a chicken dance, and do her best to bend her knees along with the music. It was an unusual dance accompanied by words that were obviously only guesses at lyrics.
"Christmas time, Christmas time! Figgy pudding, nog sublime! Fruitcakes served on a sushi belt! Such wonder I have never felt! I pick one up and softly chew. That's how I celebrate this time of yule~"
It was not hard to imagine that Farrah could hold and attend a party all by herself if she had to, but it was also pretty hard to focus on other things when she was making up the world's most puzzling new Christmas song.

Her thoughts went like an alarm through her mind: oh no, no, no, no what had she done. She should not have invited Sean here. She should have not gone, even though she had really wanted to as she did not go last year either but but... look at every one. They were wondering who he was and a student and now she opened the wounds again, tore the stitches away like the little bitch she was. Goddamn it Rowan, think before you act! She was looking at the tip of her shoes. She hated herself, she shouldn't have done this. She did not miss Sean's words, that he wouldn't mind it if she basically claimed him for the whole night and she had to worry and think about it herself because well she should have done that. If that's what he wanted and she felt like there was a high possibility that she wanted that. Was it weird that she wanted to protect him? Afraid that it would just make him sad to look at U.A., afraid it would make him sad that everyone thought he was a student and he could never be again. What had she done? She wished it had just stayed with Yumi's introduction and the like, it would have been fine with just Yumi. Yumi would eventually leave, talk to others but now they were with more. She wasn't even there to say her name to Taka who introduced himself, it was hard to miss really as she simply looked up at Sean. When she noticed he introduced himself she quickly turned too, standing still very close to him, "Sakamoto Rowan." She mumbled, hopefully, loud enough before she decided to focus her attention onto Farrah. Maybe she should let go of Sean and go talk to Farrah, but she did not want to. It maybe could be described as being dropped into the ocean, only she wouldn't know how to swim. But before she could grap her friend and chat about nothing really, she started to dance and Rowan had to take a step back again. Right, maybe back to talking to Yumi or just listen to the new guy that she did not know, disciplinary committee huh that was Tetsuko's thing. Right. She kept her attention on Farrah, albeit with glassy eyes as she was daydreaming and wondering what to do next. This was a dance, people should dance. Sean had asked her to dance, yea, right, she heard suddenly what Farrah said and hid her giggle with her hand in front of her mouth. Blinking a few times to get back to the here and now. Well at least, Farrah seemed to have fun.
WC: 453 Note: because the board will close again at the end of January, I let Aim skip Nightshade, so lets try to post 48-72 hours after each other at the longest, to make sure we can end this before the board disappears please

"Aw, you too, huh? I'm sorry to hear that." Sean never really was the kind of person who ever liked hearing about anyone having a bad time. He was a bit curious about what it was that was bothering Yumi, but prying did not seem like a good idea. And like Yumi herself put it, she'll spare him having to relive his troubles and he'll do the same for her. That sounded good to Sean. Why relive bad memories when he can make good ones instead? The latter was way far more preferable than the former.
Right away, Sean smiled in approval upon hearing Yasashi's jolly laugh. Now that's the spirit! But then his smile turned into a look of confusion. "Disciplinary Committee? Is that a thing now?" Sean did not remember a disciplinary thingy existing back when he was still a student. Was this added while he was off in dream land? Or was it always a thing and the poor boy was just too oblivious? Sean would have liked to think he wasn't that stupid to forget something that sounded important, but he could not for the life of him ever remember hearing of the Disciplinary Committee until just now. Anyway, Sean just shrugged and accepted the guy's greeting. "Thanks, dude! It's good to be back, even if it's just for tonight."
As the Christmas music began playing, Sean noticed how Farrah was continuing to hit those rhymes without missing a beat. "Dang, that's awesome!" How does she do that? Sean knew that if he tried to speak only in rhymes, he would mess up at the first sentence. Kudos to Farrah for being able to rhyme so much without fail!
But of course, Sean could never ignore Rowan. As the music played, Sean held her hand and smiled as he began to dance with her. "Come on, Rowan! Let's have ourselves a fun time!" The dancing was not too crazy, because he wanted to take it a bit slow first. And of course, the boy wasn't exactly the greatest dancer. But did that really matter? As long as everyone had a good time, then the answer to that was no.

Yumi smiled a little at the two clearly more ‘close’ friends in Sean and Rowan and tried not to step on their toes any more than she already had, and was quite thankful in a weird way for the introduction of the additional intrusions in yusaku, yasashi, and Farrah if only because it meant she had someone to escape with without just nervously walking of. Yasashi’s own bolsterous cheer helped keep her in a chipper mood itself rather than worrying too much, and while perhaps not the intended effect, Farrah’s constant rhyming was putting a playful smile on her face too… as well as the lopsided chicken dance.
With Sean and Rowan splitting off to dance themselves, Yumi looked from them to the two boys remaining, offering a hand out for either one of them to take, holding no nervousness in offering it to Yusaku despite their prior relationship, or Yasashi who… well there was no awkwardness there period but she was just as happily offering it to him. “Well boys, would either of you do me the honour of a dance myself?~” She smiled wide, throwing in a playfully cheeky wink to boot. Tonight was shaping up to be quite fun.

Yasashi nodded with his usual emphatic exuberance. He'd wondered himself if the disciplinary committee had been a practice in the time before he had joined it; he knew that there were such groups at the other schools in the country but things changed. It was curious and kind of exciting to know that he was one of the founding members of UA's disciplinary committee. He scratched his nose and chuckled; nodding toward the door as if to indicate the outside world; "We formed under Tetsuko-sempai this year," he offered as a general explanation to Sean before stepping back a bit to give him and Rowan a little more space. He was many things, but oblivious to the air in a room was not one of them.
He scratched the back of his head again when they split off; turning to glance at Yumi who seemed to have a similar thought in mind. To be honest though; he had no idea how to dance properly in a setting like this. His mother had given him a general walkthrough as to how to dance in a formal event but this was a bit more casual than he was used to. He scratched his nose and gave Yumi a lopsided smile, extending a shovel sized hand to her and craning his head toward the floor. "If you'll lead, afraid I've got two left feet, hah!" He guffawed, walking out to the dance floor. Only to realize that he'd just asked a woman to dance without a second thought. His expression slowly changing from relaxed confidence to outright terror in the space of the few steps that it took to get to a comfortable spot.
He turned to face Yumi with a gulp scratching his neck yet again and letting out a breath. He looked up and to the left for a moment before exhaling. "So what do I do?" | TAG WORDS NOTES
