{ } She took her glass a little stronger in her hand and just continued to follow the instructions, her eyes once more scanning over the information or well the people, they were surely interesting looking and if she was not mistaken most of them were pro-heroes, of course she was not mistaken. You could call Hatsumomo a bit of a, how to call it, calm fan, reasonable one? She liked to keep up with the news, she was sure that she had to do that for her job as well and her future job perhaps. She took a deep breath and took a number, checked it out, number two and went to sit on the inside of the table circle and waited for the guys to pick up their number as well. She leaned on her left hand with her elbow on the table and stared amused and the one who took her number. Was he around her age? She had no idea, it was rather amusing, he looked rather handsome, which was the smile on her face. "I hope you don't mind, but I would never expect that someone like you would need speeddating? Is it just the time or the lack of trying?" She giggled a little, oops she had not introduced herself, but wasn't that where the name tags were for, who had time to introduce themselves in the minutes of speed dating, she was rather curious to the purpose or the goal of the young man in front of her, probably time, did pro-heroes have time, she wasn't sure, but she wasn't sure if he was a pro-hero either. She would just ask the important questions, surely this was interesting, maybe-maybe she would try again if tonight was a flop. That was a rude thing, oh shit! She had texted Itsuki but had not finished it, she would have to apologize for that. MADE BY VEL OF GS

The simple order of things was soon announced by the barkeep. This wonderful and friendly looking lady with four slender arms. Admittedly, Mosa was already getting a little bit of... stage fright it could be called. Hilarious to someone who was used to talking with people 1 on 1. Guess the problem was, that he tended to not talk about himself too much to them. God, this was absolutely ridiculous. You are an adult man, Mosa. You talk with people and help them with their troubles daily. You can handle talking with one person on a date. Besides, it was not even the length of a therapy meeting. Just five minutes per person. Of course, He also needed to find out if they were fitting in that time. Man, this was gonna be a work filled evening in a way. Another sip of cold water to calm him down, before standing up and grabbing number.
Table, number 4. Easy enough. He proceeded dutifully over to the table, taking a seat and keeping his eyes on anybody else with a number 4. He tapped his fingers on the table, his face as stoic as ever. Although that slight tapping stopped immediately, as his eyes locked on to the one who seemingly was going to be his first partner in speech: It was lady in a similarly dark outfit as his, with long orange flowing locks, yet there was a certain menacing feel to her. He wasn't sure as to why. Maybe it was her canines catching his eyes. Gave her sort of a wild feeling that Mosa wasn't sure if he wanted.
However, as always, Mosa put a lot of weight in first impressions. With the ice filled half full cup of water next to him, He extended his hand over the table towards the lady. "Nice to meet you..." Mosa looked downwards to her nameplate, and lifted his glasses a bit to get a good look at it. "...Freya." The gloved hand was big and inviting. "Pardon the gloves. My quirk is the sort, that it makes normal living quite a hassle, if I don't wear them." He didn't want her to think he was all high and mighty. He hoped that the lady could read his name from his nameplate.
"I suppose we could start simple: How are you doing today? Has anything interesting happened lately?" ...Mosa hadn't even noticed that he had instinctively gone straight for his usual starting questions for therapy sessions. The sort of questions that were so ambiguous and untargeted, that it was a wonder if any long discussion started without any trust. For now though, he was just waiting for an answer looking quite confident that things were going well for now.

Freya finished up her glass and took a card.
Number 4 eh? She looked for the numbered table and sauntered her way to it. Though she didn’t doesn’t have much experience with sort of thing considering half the men and women who attempt to talk her get nervous. It could be the glare that she always has but she can’t exactly fix what god gave her. But she still a grown woman and holding a conversation like normal isn’t too hard unless the other side got no backbone. No matter the fact that it’s a date that takes less time to do than a good steak, just keep a good first impression and do her best to not sound like a madwoman.
Going to the table in question, she already see’s who her first partner is. Big guy, black outfit, uniform as hell, curly dark hair, looks like he does some meaningful stuff in his line of work. Sort of reminds her of her little brother, though one could immediately tell he is nervous as hell given the stare she could feel already. She took her seat and asked for a glass of ice water to get her situated. From first impression on looks alone, he seems like a pretty orderly man but not exactly one who strikes her fancy but maybe that’ll change. She adjusts her glasses and readies up for the stream of questions that will come her way.
“Howdy, Mosa.”
She replied to him as she looked at his name plate. Her attention turned to the gloves the moment he mentioned it, she wonders how he would do in a fight, but he doesn’t seem to be the type to be out fighting. Not going to pry about his daily life as there’s only so much time in the day and got to get through this fast. His demeanor is a massive give away to the kind lifestyle he lives. These types of questions are rather simple, but hey its something and its better than whatever the hell Freya was going to open up with.
“Pretty good so far, just moved here from the states and met some strong ass pros. Trying to get myself adjusted to this city and get some work done. How’re you?”
She speaks as she goes in for a sip of her water and relaxes her pose as she and waits to continue the conversation after he gives his reply.

Émile listened calmly as the instructions for today's entertainment were explained by the bar's lovely owner. There didn't ultimately seem to be too many people at the event, but perhaps that was for the best; too many, and this whole affair would just become an annoyance. He took another sip before taking his card, and walked over to corresponding the table. Émile would sit down and face his first match, the woman with red glasses and stupid earrings.
The woman was rude, not that Émile minded. She paid more attention to cleaning her glasses than acknowledging their partner, on top of which they only bothered to introduce themselves after outing their cynicism towards the whole affair. Although Émile didn't mind that latter part either. There was truth to it. In any case, what he was dealing with here was clearly "The Bitch", the kind of person who visited events like these because everyone they ever hooked up with would inevitable break up with them as they were... well, a bitch. Not really the type of person Émile was after, but it was possible that it would work out. Some of these types tended to be pretty insecure, so it was just best to go for the big risk as even if it would fail, there was the solace of not having to deal with the person more than what was necessary.
"Oh, my "deal" is quite simple." Émile would take a deliberate sip from his glass before finally setting it onto the table and continued, leaning forward. "I'm a connoisseur. I'm here looking for someone worth my time. And that someone's clearly not at this table." The older man would slowly undo his previous actions, leaning back and taking another sip of his drink. "I'm Emil, by the way." He would gesture towards the woman with his glass. "And what's your deal, Ms. Tachibana? And please, only one of them will do."

Wagyu maintained a firm gaze on the door as the rest of the guests arrived, hoping that maybe he’d see someone who’d make him feel some kind of a romantic spark. The next guy who walked in, who was about as beefy as he was? Nothing. The cute, short green woman who looked just as worried as Wagyu was? No. Hellhound, who he’d spoken to before over the hero chat? No way. Fantasy? No.
At least others here seemed as shy and, well, uncomfortable as he was. Wagyu took another sip of his lemonade as the host clapped to call everyone’s attention. He watched as each of the women went up and took a number, then went and did the same when she called the men up.
3, huh?
Sitting down at the table, it wasn’t long before one of the women took a seat across from him. And, of course, it had to be the most unsuitable-looking woman for him in the whole room. No offense to her, he was sure she was a nice person, but he could already tell just from her… unique formalwear that they probably wouldn’t work in a romantic sense.
He wasn’t going to be rude, though. With speed dating, you were bound to end up with someone you didn’t jive with at some point, you might as well at least try to get along with them.
Wagyu set the lemonade glass down on the table, and cleared his throat. “So, uh, my name’s Wagyu… I guess, as you can see, uh…” he trailed off, unable to think of anything to say. His gaze drifted downward, to check her nametag. Chiyuri, huh?
“So, uh, Chiyuri, do you uh… read, often?” Oh my god, really, Wagyu, that’s the best you can think of? If it weren’t for his mutation, he’d be sweating bullets right now.

Tony held his wine in hand, but he did not yet take a sip. He would do that in a bit, but right now, he was interested in seeing just who he would get paired with. All of the ladies looked rather attractive, though it was their personalities that he was interested in seeing. What would each of them be like? Would anything come out of this? Tony looked forward to finding out.
Fortunately, the wait would not be long, as the four-armed bar owner had everyone pick a number to see who would be matched with who first. Receiving the number two, Tony glanced over to his table and the very pretty lady seated there. ¡Qué mujer tan hermosa! She was definitely unique, too. Green skin, huh? ¡Qué interesante! As he sat down on the seat opposite hers, Tony saw the woman's smile and returned it with one of his own. Glancing at her name tag, Tony learned that her name was Momo. Was it a nickname? A shortened version of her name, just as Tony was the shortened form of Antonio? Or was her name just Momo? Well perhaps he would find out.
He could not help but chuckle upon hearing Momo's words. It was very understandable, after all. With how busy he was being a hero, Tony did not have as much free time as he would have liked. It was a shame too, seeing as he was missing out on a lot. But hey, that's part of why he was here now.
"Something like that, miss Momo. I tend to be a bit busier than I would like with the hero work I do. A sad but a very necessary sacrifice. Still, I'm glad to have enough time to give these kinds of things a try." Tony did not wish to talk for too long. As much as he enjoyed talking about himself, he felt that Momo would get bored if she had to only listen and not speak as well. Or maybe she wouldn't? Who knows. In any case, this was a speed date, so he did not have the time to talk about just himself. Plus, he did want to learn more about the green beauty. "How about you? This your first time or no? I would personally find it hard to believe if such a beautiful lady such as yourself never got asked out even once."

With everyone pretty much in the building at this point, Chiyuri's eyes wandered around to check out who was arriving. No strikingly familiar faces unfortunately, but hey what could you do, it was primarily blind dates for a reason. A fair few people on the tables seemed pretty nervous, and while understandable since they were also gonna meet new people, they needed to lighten up a bit. The first part is always the hardest, or whatever. With Delta's clapping and announcement, it was now time to go up and get started. Chiyuri hopped off her chair, drink in hand, to go pick up her number. After fumbling around a bit, she drew the number 3.
“3? Aight, let's do it!” she said, moving over to the table marked with the same digit, waiting for her supposed date to show up at her table. Each of the guys seemed pretty chill, but most of them were the nervous ones too. It was a mixed bag really. But not before long, the large bull-man approached the table. Jeez, this dude is stacked beyond belief, he was close to bursting out of his tux – what kinda meat were they feeding him? Heh. Looking down to his nametag, he was known as Wagyu, but he chose to introduce himself as well to the emerald girl. He had a slight wavering in his voice, so Chiyuri felt it may be worth trying to carry this guy for a while, at least until he could get his foot in the door.
“Wagyu, huh? Pretty apt I guess – 'sup, I'm Chiyuri!” she said, taking a sip of her wine. Her partner for now seemed to be much on the softer side of things, taking what appeared to be a lemonade drink. Perhaps he didn't have the taste for booze or something. On with the date, and by god what a start. What a question. This guy was either too stupid or too worried. Definitely the latter, but ruling out the former wasn't too easy, either. “Reading? I mean, I don't really got the time to do that. Most reading I do these days is of music sheets and notes – I'm a beatsmith, after all.” she said. Moving in a little closer, she decided to make sure he felt alright to talk. “Yo, if you're worried or somethin', don't be, I ain't really tryna find a husband here, y'know? Let's just talk like rational adults.” Moving back to her previous position, Chiyuri decided to put forth a counter-question. “So, what kinda stuff do you do? You look pretty strong under that tux, you a bodybuilder or something?”

Libra has dealt with That Bitch before. In fact, it was the previously mentioned girl who is the real reason why she even considered coming here. If it weren't for the fact that she works with her in the firm, she would be lying on the ground with her flesh burnt out, especially the neck area. God her voice is so shrill. Every time she opened her mouth, the urge to sear her throat out with her acid touch increases. But alas, she's good at numbers, plus she once gave her a free lunch. If she didnt get cold feet like the bitch ass coward she was, she'll probably get hooked in by this guy's words. As for Libra, she herself has never dated once in her life. Whenever any of her casual 'friends' aka her coworkers ask if she ever went out with someone, she'll just go "Too much of a hassle."
"Heh, nice one." She laughs a bit as she shakes her head. Touche, asshole. Touche. "Charmed to meet you, Emilo." His voice came off belonging to an older man. Is this guy looking to get lucky with someone younger than him? Sure there's someone out there with a weird interest in older guys. Like...older guys who might as well be their father. "Hmm? My deal? Can't you tell? Eh." She slightly shrugs. "Not gonna bore you with my life story. I'm just bored tonight so...hey, why not?" She adjusts her posture. "Some good hours to waste here. Free drinks. No annoying tag-a-long friend fawning over guys here. Seems like a nice night." She slowly waves her hand around her side of the table, finding her drink and taking a sip of it. "If she were here, she would start blabbering to you about how her horoscope predicted her meeting the man of her dreams here." She scoffs a bit. "Its a good source of comedy, not something to bring up during these sessions. No one likes horoscopes." She looks back up at Emile's direction. "In other words..not worthy of your tastes, so to speak."
"Anyway. You sound like someone fresh out of college. What's YOUR deal? If you're looking for someone worthy of your time...then why the hell are you here? There's a far better selection out there on the streets right now." She comments as she taps the table a pit with her nails. "You bored as well?"

Aeris Leon Pro-Hero || Fantasy || Danse de Fee Quote Here Aeris watched as The Informant bobbled a teetered his way to the table. Most likely getting hit with the realization of the true nature of the event. Serentiputously, the fantasy, after sitting down, opened her handbag and produced a small book. It wasn’t a large literary tome of great importance, just a soft cover edition of The Botanist Guide to Fictional Flowers. Setting it in front of herself she smiled to hopefully lift his spirits a bit. “Let me guess, you were tricked into comeing here. Possibly a Book club?”
Around campus, Aeris was known to psychoanalize others; students, teachers, contractors, and faculty. No one was safe. Probably the reason she didn’t get that many invites to go out drinking after work. The fairy was often set aside. The whole Rin/Jasmine situation didn’t help matter for her when the rumors eventually hit newer staff. Perhaps she could use her short time, getting him over the point of entrapment and the next four ladies could get to know him better. She had more than enough time in school to try and chat him up if need be. “You know, part of these types of events is asking questions and taking chances. Sometimes even innoucous questions that take seconds can lead to answers worth minutes of conversation. So, Mu-ra-ka-mi-san.” Her voice fully ennunciating each beat of his name. “Would you like to tell me a bit about the book you are currently reading?” Her fingers grazed over the table cloth towards the sizeable tome he had with him. Not touching it, but merely bringing his attention to it
Using a bit of that Charisma she taught in her very first lesson in class, she hopefully could seep past the obsidian shell he had around him. Maybe get a bit of the molten core to flow and thus the next table would not need to try and soften him up more. It was rare one ever found even a good match at the first table they sat at, because almost everyone had first meeting jitters. Especially introverts like Tobias and herself.

TOTO, I DON'T THINK THIS IS A BOOK CLUB TOBIAS GAVE HIS COWORKER A POLITE SMILE keeping one hand drape primly over the other. The droll remark, while meant to lift his spirits, made Tobias shrug his shoulders in embarrassment. In hindsight, the faux pas was very silly, and he ridiculed himself for following it.
“Orlov-sensei said it was a speed-book-dating club,” Tobias confessed with a faint laugh, idly rubbing the back of his shelled hand with his thumb, “Like a book club, but accelerated.”
For a reader as voracious as Tobias, the idea held a certain appeal. This, however—less so. Perhaps Mikhail was operating under the idea that a man as bookish as Tobias could not possibly have an active romantic life. This could not be further from the truth! But it wasn’t professional to discuss such matters with ones coworkers.
Luminous molten eyes lingered on Aeris as she spoke, the massive man shifting in his chair to show that he was listening. He kept his hands folded in front of him, his eyes trailing towards the book that Aeris was speaking of.
“British Deities,” he said brightly, a more honest smile touching his face, “Written by Edmund Guy at the turn of the century. It’s a really lovely modern fantasy. It’s about this ex-convict who’s let out of prison after his wife is killed in a car accident—he later joins a mysterious man as their bodyguard, and accompanies them on their travels... there's a war between New Gods and Old Gods. It’s quite fun.”
Prattling on about his book had helped the man to loosen-up, and he nodded to the book in front of Aeris.
“What about your paperback companion, Leon-san?” he asked, “Were you also connived here with the promise of something new to read, or is this something much more important?”
If someone carried a particular book with them, simply because they could, it spoke somewhat to their character—perhaps they were a voracious reader, such as Toby, or perhaps the contents of the text were something far more important.

The ladies greeting was about as lax as he had expected. Not exactly the type to start immediately shouting and drinking (heck, she ordered water in a bar. That was a little surprising.), But it shone in the way she talked. Howdy, some casual swearing, that sort of thing. Admittedly, it cast her in a little bit wrong light in his eyes. But, he was not here to judge. He was here to enjoy company of people, and to find that perfect babysitter. But she had lost some points for the latter.
However, She did say some interesting things. "Oh, you are a hero then?" His hand went over to his jaw. "And from America no less... I know that some of the students in U.A are from there, but outright heroes coming over?" His curiosity was poked. He hadn't done any research on how things were over there in this case. "Why? Albeit, I suppose this is the best time to come here to be one, with the hero business booming and growing." He might have answered his own question, But this sort of lady definitely must have had her own reasons to do this. That and there was the adjusting part. "I hope the language barrier hasn't been too harsh..." Even he himself barely knew english. He was better at reading it, than actually talking it.
As always, when he got to talking proper, there was not really stopping him. There was a good reason why he become a therapist. He did seriously like talking with people. So, hearing the lady answering his first questions with a classic 'how are you', let him open the floodgates a little. "Well, busy. I work multiple jobs. Not for the money, but passion more like." Maybe he was putting it a little bit fancily. "I blame myself for wanting to do too much. Leaves a small amount of time for anything else, when I need to hop between a school and a church..." He blinked behind his glasses and took a sip of water. "Pardon. I don't think either of us came here to listen to the other rant." That, and he was almost about to reveal Kasumi already. And he didn't want to scare her off.
Concentrating on other things, He did feel it worthy to mention something else. "Admittedly, you might be in luck for meeting other heroes today... There is atleast one here currently. That person over there." He gently turned his head towards the bullman, Wagyu. Pointing after all, was very rude. "Quite known. Works in an orphanage on his free time. In that regard he is a model hero I would say." He took another sip of water. "What do you do, whilst you are not doing hero work?" The unfortunate pacing of his speech might have lead to his question becoming a little bit more judging than he meant it to be, but he was genuinely curious about if she was nearly as busy as he was.

Despite Freya being somewhat lax, the dude still seems a bit on edge from the introduction. He seems to be the type to who doesn’t enjoy hearing swears said causally, but not her place to judge. Can’t exactly control her sailor mouth, got it from the mom and pretty damn hard to kick a habit that’s been with her since middle school. Though its pretty annoying when she meets people who get uppity about this sort of thing, but right now its still fine.
However, her little statement about moving here and being a pro did spark some interest. He went ahead and asked a few questions that pertained to it, considering she is both off the clock and bored, might as well oblige. He did answer his own question soon after and she caught the statement about a bunch of students in UA are from the states. Damn that school must be really loaded when kids from the states are sending their kids over here to learn this type of work. Another part of her feels a bit saddened that she never did that as well. But this isn’t going to be Freya’s sad hour, this is a speed dating thing and got to keep the ball rolling.
“I came for the adventure and the work as well, there’s enough heroes in the states so might as well see what’s overseas so I’m still a bit green when it comes to all this… and the language barrier hasn’t been too bad, my little brother helped me out a bit...”, She answered earnestly, though she does remember the time of her brother frantically helping her learn the language rather fondly. A part of her wonders how they’re doing back at home. Hopefully her little brother is doing his best to hold down the fort.
As she answered her part, he let the man answer her question and boy this man’s life is reflected perfectly in his attire. He reminds her of a few friends back home who did the same thing, these types are usually the most honest and real funny once you get to know them. Though his last remark is made her chuckle a bit, seems like everyone in the world is running themselves ragged these days and someone being honest about it is a breath of fresh air.
“I don’t mind, everyone has something to get off their chest these days. A rant or two would always help, keeps ya aware and satisfied…” She asked the waiter for a glass of rum, mostly for trying something new and keep the ball rolling. Drinking water at the bar all day wouldn’t be very fun for her nor an effective use of the place she is at.
Mosa did mention and pointed out that there was another pro hero here, she followed his head turn whilst sipping her drink. Holy shit that’s a bull man and wait his name is Wagyu? That’s either a dark joke or his parents must be huge pricks if one could guess. Though hearing how he works at an orphanage in his free time is rather nice, always liked people who could do that sort of work. She is not the best type when it comes to dealing with kids, considering her attitude and style of teaching would be rather worrisome to say the least. Though the sudden question about what she does on her time is both sudden and a bit rude but maybe he didn’t intend it come off as that. So, she just went along and answered it.
“My free time is mostly training and working with recruits in the training exercises... mostly cases of a person going on a rampage with a quirk and how to deal with it...”
She answered with her chest puffed out as she takes pride in her field. They call it the riot division but its mostly a bunch of officers who are the most well equipped to deal with quirk users. The gear and stuff are just a bonus due to dangers of it and since it was recently formed, most likely that not many know about it. But then she remembered what was on her mind since he mentioned UA.
“I’m going to take a wild guess, but how many heroes here work at UA? Been hearing about the place everywhere and kind of curious to check it out… Not much a greenhorn can do but you never know”
She asked as took another sip of her rum, the sweet flavors being very poignant. A part of her wonders how UA is like but considering its reputation, the staff must be packed with some strong ass teachers. Her being a mentor to some kids would help some of her issues of being alone in a new country.

{ } Her first thought to jump into this, well sort of game, was to tease. She had send Itsuki that this was a mistake and yes she thought so but that wasn't based on the people that were around it was just, she wasn't sure what she was actually thinking. She was just slightly worried that it would become a disaster and so on. Now bumping into Tony was definitely not something that her eyes minded and she could not stop grinning and asking him why a person like him was here.He called her Miss Momo, that was really cute. She did nod though, knowing him as Wildheart, it happened when you worked at U.A. but she wasn't going to directly spill that, she did not want to know more about the Hero alias, she wanted to know more about the person opposite her. She made a giggling sound when he asked about her, calling her a beautiful lady which was definitely not something that everyone said to her but it was nice, flattering, this guy knew how to use his words, which surely amused her a lot. "This is my first time, I tend to forget to take time for myself or go out after I get back from work, I like to stay home, cook, read, things like that, but sometimes that is getting kind of lonely. This was definitely something I wasn't sure about doing, I am flattered by your compliment but not everyone likes looking at someone with a green skin." She did not seem to be upset about it, leaning a bit more on her hand and smiling though, she had learned to deal with it for twenty-nine years, she will continue to do so, there might be someone out there, who did not mind to see a woman who was green. "So if you have spare time," Would heroes ever consider having spare time, "What do you like to do?" MADE BY VEL OF GS

Tony took the tiniest of sips of his red wine as he listened to Momo. At first, he was shocked upon hearing that this was her first time. Not enough to actually make him spit out his drink, but it was almost there. ¿En serio? A pretty lady like you? But then she explained that she often forgot to take time for herself or go out after work. Ah, that made far more sense. Because again, who in their right mind wouldn't ask out such a beautiful lady?
"Ah, I get that. Sometimes, it's far too tempting to just relax at home after a hard day of work." What he did not get, however, was Momo's comment on how not everyone likes looking at someone with green skin. Tony scoffed. "Idiotas. Oh well, it's their loss. It's such a shame that people are still incredibly shallow in this day and age." Tony was one that liked to look past one's physical appearance to truly judge one's character. After all, true beauty was on the inside. Such a shame that some people just did not get that. He was sure that Momo was just as incredibly beautiful inside as she was outside. Just how much so was something he wouldn't mind getting to find out.
But moving away from that topic, it was time to talk about what Tony did in his spare time. "Well it depends on just how much spare time I get. Whenever I have time, I like to go horseback riding. It's incredibly thrilling. And if I get enough time off, I love to fly to Spain to visit my family. But mostly, I typically go do some physical activities, like work out at the gym, go for a swim at a pool or the beach, jog, things like that. Besides that, I enjoy playing Spanish guitar, and I'm also a huge sucker for romance novels and movies."
Before he went on and on about his favorite hobbies and pastimes, he needed to stop and remind himself that he did not have that much time with Momo. This was a speed date after all. "How about you? What do you enjoy doing? Anything you're passionate about?"

Well, this was going great. Chiyuri didn’t have any interest in reading, and she was a… a ‘beatsmith’? Was that something like a rapper? At least she seemed to understand that he was nervous. Wagyu let out a great big sigh of relief at that.
“Thanks, Chiyuri. Honestly, I’m mostly here because, uh, a friend suggested it to me. I don’t really have the time for romance, at the moment.” He replied, under his breath.
Which brought him pretty easily to Chiyuri’s next question. There was no real use hiding it, especially considering half of the other participants were also Pro Heroes, so he decided to just be honest.
“I’m a Pro Hero, actually. I know, I know, I don’t look it,” He joked. Honestly, he was feeling a little more comfortable now. “Used to be a vigilante, actually. People kept making trouble around where I grew up, so it just sort of became something I did. Before it started paying the bills, I was employed at a warehouse, though.”
“How about you? I mean, you’re a musician, but, uh, how’s that going?” God, what did musicians do on a day-to-day basis? If you’re just an aspiring artist, you probably aren’t touring and such. “What kind of, uh, genre do you… work in?” That was almost definitely not the right way to phrase it.
She was cute, Wagyu was willing to admit it to himself, and in a way she sort of reminded him of Kimiko. He didn’t feel a hint of romantic attraction toward her, as far as he could tell, but just on an aesthetic level he could acknowledge that. She certainly had way more of a grip on her fashion than Wagyu would ever hope to, that was for sure.
