Hey Sensei.
Sorry to bother you, but I was spending time visiting my folks when the stuff in the group chat happened and, well, yeah. I was hoping we could talk.
if It's not too much trouble could you meet me at the Gundam Cafe by Akihabara Station? I'll treat you.
thanks.
Coming back home should have been a happy occasion. But as she sat there waiting for both her teacher and her Acguy curry, Sam couldn't help but feel melancholy and anxious. She couldn't help it, everything just felt wrong. Being back in Akiba felt wrong, being in a hero school felt wrong... but why? Why did her past still control her feelings so much?
Sam quietly sighed as she took another sip of her Jaburo coffee and watched Nicol Amalfi get sliced in half by the Strike Gundam. Such a tragic way for such a cutie to go. Why did she choose this place to try and cheer herself up again? She knew why, of course.
She had been here many times as a kid. It had always been a special treat for her. It, like so many other things she loved, was an escape. A way to get away from her problems for a little while and just focus on the things she loved. In this case, food and giant robots. It was her hope that those fond memories could make the coming talk easier - for her teacher and for herself. Sensei had proven to be a kindred spirit, a fellow otaku who embraced his joy and passion for this sort of thing. Surely he'd be happy to be here.
Of course, Sam couldn't help but feel like this was probably some kind of weird. From a certain point of view, this was almost like a... Like a date. Not that that was Sam's intent! Sure, Sensei seemed like a perfectly fine match, but he was not her type. Well, he kind of was, but the ways he wasn't were - in her mind - irreconcilable. That made it not weird and not a date... right?
Sam groaned and tried to shake the thought from her head. She had been looking for a distraction from her thoughts, only for more thoughts to show up and take over in a bloody coup that didn't improve anything for anyone and merely installed a new regime that was utterly horrible in entirely different ways. In other words, she was just having Sam thoughts. The young woman massaged her temples as she kept her eyes peeled for her teacher. Maybe things would feel less awkward once he was here.
