Though, he often doesn't show his interest in anything that doesn't pertain to him directly, things that grab his attention gets a much more enthusiastic Arata to come to the surface. He is easily noted by his peers for taking an interest in them if they appear 'story worthy' in his words. As he likes to take events from the world around him to write into his book. Thanks to quirks being new to the world, anyone with a quirk normally catches his eye, though the interest can increase or decrease rapidly depending on the usefulness of the quirk. In combat, Arata always goes in with a smile, having spent a lot of his time reading books and manga with action sequences, that he now gets to be in one excites him. However, if his opponent doesn't seem as interesting as he thought, he becomes cold and unfeeling toward them, just brushing them off as something that isn't worth his time. For his comrades, he can be counted on for as many fingers as he have (and he can have as many as ninety fingers thanks to that quirk of his)! He will throw himself into the fray to protect the life of a friend he still wants to see the story of unfold, throwing his safety aside if it means letting a friend continue their story. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.6 m WEIGHT: 56 kg HAIR/STYLE: Shaggy sandy blonde SKIN/SCARS: Pale, no scars EYES: Amber colored eyes shaped like eyes! NOTABLES: Often mistaken for much younger than he is Civilian Clothing His normal civilian clothing consists of a faded brown shirt that rests underneath a short sleeved hooded jacket. This jacket is black on the outside lined with three white dots from the hood stopping at the ears. The color of the jacket is swapped on the inside to mirror the outside. On his lower body are light grey pants with black spots lining the leg openings at the bottom which are close together as they spread out and grow smaller the further up the pant legs they go. On his feet are brown shoes. His normal outfit changes accordingly with the season outside, though his outfits normally have some sort of black-white mirror pattern going on. His attire changes however to account for the weather, but he always has something on his person that has that reversible moon pattern. Of course, his attire changes for the sake of school, putting on the Yuuei uniform when required of him. Hero outfit 1 His current hero outfit is reminiscent of Suneater's, in that it consists of a hooded cloak with a much larger hood than his normal hoodie. Though instead of a cape, the hood tapers off into a three ended scarf which he wraps around his neck in the form of a baggy collar. This is white in color with a dark black moon on the end of each scarf section. He has a dark colored eye mask with a white circle in the center of it to rest over his eyes. He wears a jumpsuit, lined with his preferred black and white moon pattern. The majority of the suit is black with a white moon at major joints such as the knees, shoulders, elbows. He has on white boots with a black moon adorning the tips of them and white gloves with cutouts for his knuckles and finger joints to show the dark marks that pertain to his quirk. |

HISTORY As the first person in his family to have a major quirk, Arata was viewed by his parents, mainly his father, as someone that could become a nuisance if he wasn't careful with how he used his power. Well, Arata used his power for his own purposes as a child, learning to use it to practice drawing more than one thing at once, often sitting in his room and working on his craft. He also spent a lot of time reading books and manga, getting lost in worlds to avoid the constant fighting between his family members over how he could potentially be a hindrance or a boon for a family that used to be affluent until the discovery of their quirks ostracized them from their assets. Funny how someone who spends most of their time getting in to fantasy stories becomes enamored with the idea of writing and drawing his own. Arata had determined at a young age that he would want to be an artist, working with various mangaka around the land. His father had other plans. Giving Arata an ultimatum at the age of twelve, just as he was starting to notice others around him that weren't boys. Either learn to be a hero, or get into an arranged marriage, but no matter what, he would not be chasing something like being a book writer. Well, Arata decided to put the kibosh on both of those plans, and run away from home at the age of fifteen, where he would spend the next several years in various apartment buildings, pushing out commission artwork and moonlighting as a vigilante. Because if you have super powers, why wouldn't you want to use them? Maybe he didn't have to be so flamboyant about it though, even though his civilian and hero persona were nothing alike, they dressed quite similar. When the authorities had found out who he was, he was given an opportunity, become a hero and get paid for his duty to teach others with powers similar to his, or get put in the slammer. Well, his father always wanted him to be a hero, and he could get to live in a world filled with super powers right? It was like living in a manga, so of course, he became one of the teachers at Yuuei academy! |
