It was good to see that she didn't have to get too worried after all. Not too long after she sent the message, her two classmates had finally arrived. They weren't late but she figured showing concern was still appropriate. Fortunately Jaeger-sensei seemed to be in a really good mood. That just made her even more curious at what could possibly be awaiting them at their destination. Once everyone was comfortable on the bus, the man in charge himself gave an explanation for what they could expect on this trip. Karen listened attentively as he laid out all the details. Apparently this trip was also going to be a game, to which Karen silently clapped her hands together in delight. The mechanics weren't too complex. There were two teams and each one would be competing in claiming resources that would make their camping experience easier. They would be using cards for this and the ultimate goal was to obtain the card of the other team. That last part felt like it skipped a few steps. She understood that they would be finding and securing various resource nodes but it wasn't clear how exactly the rules of conflict would be handled. Would they just immediately start fighting if the two teams ran into each other while exploring? What if multiple conflicts occurred in different locations? Two teachers alone might not be enough to ensure that things don't get out of hand somewhere while they were watching another location. Karen understood that this was a survival camp but she was still on the lookout for the safety of her schoolmates. First things first, clarifying a few rules. "Sensei, does the leader have to carry the card at all times? Can it be hidden somewhere or passed around among the members of the team?"What would come next was forming their teams. Apparently they were all assigned values of some sort. Looking at the projection, Jack had the highest number. Perhaps this was due to him having several months more experience as a first year. It was interesting to see how much higher he was seemingly rated compared to the rest. Kaz and Luka were given the honors of forming teams and she would find herself being on Kaz's camp along with Jack. Meanwhile most of their other friends were on the other side. If it had been up to her, Karen would have wanted to get more people to work with. From her point of view a simple number rating couldn't possibly capture the full potential of a participant and what they would offer in this game. No offense to him but she certainly didn't feel that Jack was worth at least three other people. However this was Kaz's choice and she would have to make do with it. Hopefully her vice president would live up to the score that they gave him. If not, then she would have to make her own preparations and plans to act alone if necessary. The final part of the explanation was an apparent rogue element who would be a common enemy to both teams. Her true nature however confused Karen a bit. She was an 'enemy' and yet she could possibly help them too? That description made it rather difficult to deduce if fighting her or trying to capture her was even the right thing to do. At the very least considering they had the smaller number team-wise, Karen's approach would be to minimize getting into unnecessary conflicts that would tire them out and leave them vulnerable. She also wasn't too big a fan of a 'cheat' item that would let them ace the whole exercise even if they lost the game itself. That kind of mechanic just didn't sit well with her challenger spirit. She felt there were better ways to introduce a 'bonus' that didn't undermine the efforts of the players completely. In any case she needed more information here so she raised her hand again. "Sensei, what if both teams encountered the rogue element at the same time? Which opponent would take priority? Do we work together to defeat the rogue element or do we try to get them on our side to defeat the other team?"She thought of the most chaotic scenario possible and sought advice on how to handle it. The reply would give her insight what other underlying goals this camping trip might have.

Isaac was quick to awaken from his slumber with a slight jolt as the others entered the bus with an extra pep in their step. Specifically it was Luka's greeting that pulled Isaac from his sleep. With a somewhat confused look on his face, Isaac didn't remember if second years were allowed on the trip, but it's not as if they looked lost either. Guess an exception was made. Upon Luka's question Isaac raised his hand and did a small "Woo!" noise to show his enthusiasm. Even if it was soon followed by a yawn he was still looking forward to the trip a great deal. By the looks and sounds of everyone else they had similar ideas. After Luka another senpai came onto the bus. Isaac felt a little awkward not knowing them too well but hopefully that could be changed on this trip! After the senpai, Karen cmae onto the bus looking a annoyed in his opinion, but barely enough to say she looked to be in a bad mood. He couldn't tell why until Graham came and apologized for being late. Speaking of being late, Isaac had not noticed their class Vice president anywhere on the bus. That was probably driving Karen crazy since she herself took the role of being resident very seriously and having her second in command being so tardy, well he could see why she looked a smidgen annoyed. Isaac let his mind wonder to what it would have been like to be the vp instead of Jack although he couldn't imagine much since for the most part it seemed like it was just a title. Well that and something else for Karen to keep tabs on. [break][break] Enough about the students! Because they had all arrived on the bus safe and sound (relatively) and thus it was time for their sensei to explain what was going to be happening on this trip. Jaegar first explained it like a game of capture the flag with geist but slightly different. He then lifted up a fancy looking credit card with a big number 20 displayed on it. Disregarding that item for now Isaac's gaze moved from Karen to Jack. If it was capture the flag then those two would essentially be a win condition. Flight was a hella strong ability and both had access to it and in Jack's case he had way more experience and fire power to boot. But as he explained, the game wouldn't be so clear cut. Both teams would have a secret captain and each would be placed in their own camp. But instead of just having them find a flag they also had to look for nodes? to get prizes? Was this secretly a reality show or something. One camp versus another in a camping trip? It all seemed rather excessive and Isaac loved it. The premise was so bizarre that it allowed for so much to happen with a lot of possibilities. That made him feel at ease somewhat now, since maybe one team wouldn't just have both Jack and Karen. The ones picking the teams but not the secret captains from what Isaac understood was Luka and Kaz. Ah, so that was senpai's name. Once they received the fancy cards a large projection came up at one end of the bus. Another cool feature of this trip! Seeing the numbers under each name the blue haired boy realized why the card had a number twenty on it. If anything looking at the screen he was happy about his number. It was lower than Jack's or Karen's but considering that Jack had months more experience and Karen had flight he was not surprised that they had higher numbers. What did surprise Isaac was that they were both chosen right away to be on Kaz's team. Admitedly that did annoy the boy. After all it wasn't just capture the flag like Jaegar said. They'd also have to capture a rogue element which was probably just a fancy way of saying villain, something which his quirk would have no trouble doing. The other two although strong had no real capabilities as far as he knew in terms of restraining someone as well as him or as the other 1-A students like Kumoko, Hanami and Graham. Speaking of which it seemed like they were all picked. Looks like it was a game of quality versus quantity in terms of how the teams were picked. Guess this exercise was going to be everyone's chance to shine that extra bit brighter. After he was done speaking Isaac awaited the inevitable questions coming from Karen and maybe a few from the other students. He knew that he could rely on his class president to ask the important questions that perhaps some were to shy to ask and make sure that everyone was on the same page. Having a few ideas in mind about how to go about the course, Isaac waited to hear if anyone else had any questions before asking his own. "Will there be a list of things we can get from the node thingies? Or can we just decide what we want and have to fulfill the node amount?" After asking his question he looked over to the other people on his team, an excited look in his eyes. This was gonna be great!

So many new faces, others already considerably familiar considering some of them were part of her class, if not most. Hanami would greet anyone who would bother to walk to her and say 'hello', but nonetheless, she was more so focused on not falling asleep whilst standing. She really did have a hard time sleeping the day before, not only due to carrying that aforementioned light headache, though also due to the little anxious feeling of partaking in such an activity with others. This wouldn't be her first time though, she was already somewhat used to these kind of trips from years ago. [break][break] The first proper greeting she received would come from one of the two teachers meant to host the camping adventure. Of course that it would involve her current drowsy state, as she brought up a faintly nervous smile up at the old man and gently nodded. "...!" Yet, not long following such, she'd be startled by a sneaky second year. Right at the moment she felt something crawling down each side of her hips, the blue-eyed teen jumped in her stance, before starting to feel the unstoppable tickling sensation, which caused her to tighten her lips and lower down to a squat of sorts, wrapping her own arms around the area which was being messed with. "Mnnghh...!" She struggled to not burst out laughing and she succeeded thanks to Elise leaving the playful action short. [break][break] With a watery gaze, she could only look over her shoulder at the red-haired older female introducing herself and her younger brother. A very brief glance was offered at the latter as the same arrived, before she slowly stood up and turned around, nodding innocently in acknowledgment. "I'm Hanami..." She softly replied. [break][break] After that, Jack's arrival would catch her attention. The girl was a bit surprised by the way he made his appearance, sprinting in the direction of the gathering whilst shouting his lungs out. Front flips and everything. Then, when he landed, Hanami could only find herself cringing a little inside, before she looked back down and decided to finally make her way inside the bus. She did plan to follow him, but not anymore. [break][break] A seat of her own was eventually chosen, one of those further back, all by herself, leaving a clear free seat to her side as she had also picked the one nearest to the window. And just as she was about ready to take a nap on her seat, the explanations began. After a not so good night of sleep, it was certain that her attention span was pretty short. Due to that, most things that were said would probably be forgotten after a good couple of seconds. The projection did wake her up for the brief moment it was up, as she curiously looked over at each detail being shown, including the numbers below each participant, herself included. [break][break] But especially that rogue element. And Elise. Why didn't she have a number? Was she maybe really just incredibly strong? Something felt off about all of that, especially considering there was apparently a limit to the total of those numbers for each leader picking their team. Was the red-haired second year going to stay out of the 'game' altogether? Just a few thoughts that crossed Hanami's barely awake mind. [break][break] Once nothing else caught her attention, she returned to lean the back of her head against her comfy seat and rest. For now.

As the students boarded the bus Elise followed suit, making her way along the seats till she spotted a rather amusing issue. Unlike most of the students there was one lass who would prove that the spacious bus was not enough for her, as Kumoko would be caught in a rather peculiar situation: namely her spider head would make it somewhat uncomfortable for another student to join her, and yet sitting all by herself sounded like a lonely solution, so Elise paced over to the girl, a hand gently helping her lift one of the spider legs of the girl while she hummed softly in response. "Kumoko-chan~ Mind if I take a seat next to you?"
Sure that she would approve of her request, Elise took a seat next to the spider girl just as Jaeger entered the bus and alongside his pet started to explain the rules of this peculiar game he had in mind for the students. Elise's initial reaction seemed to match that of the other students, initial confusion mixed with interest and excitement, although as the regulations continued to be expressed Elise's gaze shifted toward Spymaster and blinked in confusion.
It seemed like Jaeger was truly full of surprises, to think that he had organized an event like this. However, that meant that... A hand raised to her forehead Elise couldn't help but sigh audibly. "Leave it to Jaeger-sensei to turn a camping trip into a crazy adventure."
Nonetheless, she had to admit that this situation amused her, and just as much as it was amusing, it was interesting to the Eisenberg lass, whose gaze shifted toward the window for a moment.
"..."
Yes, she should have expected that Jaeger would have planned something like this, that man was the one teacher who seemed to lack even more common sense than Geist did! Blinking in confusion as she leaned over the seat that Kaz was seated at, the girl explained with a smile. "No need to select me~ I'm merely a spectator, I have my own training to attend to at the camping grounds in preparations for the internships~"
Indeed, after all the second years students of their school had been chosen to participate in a new internship program that involved the students working together with real professionals in the field! Of course, Elise had been excited for this opportunity, but looking at the large projection she couldn't help but smile weakly. "Sensei, did you really have to use that nickname Geist-sensei gave me?"
Still, she was certain any form of objection would be ignored by the man, so in the end Elise merely leaned back into her seat and waited for the vehicle to depart. For now she would rest and conserve her strength, once they'd arrive at the camping grounds they would surely have have their hands full dealing with their individual tasks! Still, she had to admit that Jaeger had outdone himself with his schemes, that guy was well and truly as unpredictable as she had imagined!

Just as Kumoko was about to head inside the bus, she suddenly felt something or someone touch her. Not expecting it at all, Kumoko jumped up and flinched. "EEP!" She did not know exactly how it happened, but the poor spider girl suddenly tripped and fell down. However, she just as quickly got back up. "I'm okay!" Looking over to see just who it was that startled her, Kumoko noticed a redheaded girl. She looked older than the other students, who were all arriving.
Before Kumoko could respond to the redhead, she watched her move at an impressive speed towards another first year to wake her up via ...tickling? Who was this girl? But then the girl introduced herself. Kumoko immediately became excited. Elise von Eisenberg? Kumoko heard about the second-year girl. She remembered hearing from a certain vigilante friend of hers how he met Elise one time in that dojo he always goes to. She apparently put up a very impressive fight. Kumoko wasn't exactly annoyed by the way Elise startled her, but if she were, then that annoyance would immediately vanish as Kumoko became excited. Sadly, Elise was talking to someone else right now, and Kumoko did not wish to intrude, so Kumoko left her be for now.
Now it was time to go inside the bus. Naturally, such an ordinarily simple task was made more difficult for Kumoko due to her spider legs. She could fit inside the bus no problem by folding her legs and keeping them really close, but it was incredibly uncomfortable. Still, once she made it inside the bus, getting a seat proved to be slightly easier. She chose one of the emptier seats so she could have some room to stretch her spider legs. Of course, if anyone wanted to sit next to her (though the poor girl figured that nobody would want to sit near someone like her), Kumoko would be fine with it, even if that meant she would have to keep her spider legs folded in the cramped space.
Once the spider-headed girl was seated, she was surprised to see that Elise wanted to sit over here with her. "I don't mind." With a smile, Kumoko squeezed her spider legs close to her body to make room for Elise to have a seat. With how cramped it was, to say that Kumoko felt uncomfortable was an understatement. Still, she refused to complain or show any visible signs that she was bothered by how cramped it was here. She did not want to look weak in front of her senpai.
And now it was time to listen up as Jaeger-sensei began to explain what would be going on in this camping trip. Kumoko paid attention as he explained the students' objectives. Survive in the wilderness, search for resources, accumulate points, and take the opposing team's leader's card. Besides worrying a bit about whether she would be a burden to her team, Kumoko was honestly feeling very excited. She looked forward to giving her best shot.
Kumoko was curious to see what those numbers meant once the projection went up. Most of the students were four points, including her. However, Karen was six points, and Jack was thirteen points. More curiously, Elise's points were unknown. It soon became clear that the two team leaders were to pick their members based on how many points they had. So that made sense. But what about Elise with her unknown points? And what was up with that kunoichi? Kumoko had a feeling that things were about to get interesting.
And she looked forward to it all.

Everyone didn't seem to mind Jack's tardy appearance, at least for the most part. He didn't mean to be tardy, but he had been up late working on stuff, and oversleeping was sadly a result of that. He breathed a sigh of relief at the fact that he hadn't missed the bus. He did notice that Hanami didn't seem interested in him anymore, though...which admittedly made him kind of sad. He felt that he got along well with the blue-haired girl...especially since he was the one who convinced her to come along on the trip to begin with. He just hoped that he hadn't permanently hurt his relationship with her too much...
He made himself comfortable on the bus, mentally preparing himself for whatever activities were to come. Unknownst to most people in his class, and admittedly to himself, when push came to shove Jack was surprisingly reliable in various situations. While he couldn't simply plan for whatever event their teachers had planned, he could at least try and think of various solutions to situations that might pop up. He would hopefully prove himself more to his classmates during this...after all, a dragon always had his pride.
After everyone got situated, Mr. Jaeger began to explain the activity that they were going to begin with. Apparently, they were going into 2 teams, which would be decided by Kaz and Luka as the team leaders. However, there was a catch: Each student had been assigned with a certain amount of points, which was shown via a projection behind Mr. Jaegar. Jack couldn't help be let his eyes widen a little bit as he noticed what his score was:
13?!?!
While Jack was rather confident in his abilities, especially since he did get a 'head start' compared to the other First Years, but...more than three times the amount of every other person??? That was putting a lot of faith on Jack's power alone...which only meant that he had more to prove to his teammates.
He would look at both Karen, his class president, and Kaz, who he had a previous encounter with at a toy store...which was admittedly a random first impression, to say the least. Nonetheless, despite the fact that he was nervous as hell, he gave them both a warm smile, showing off his rather sharp, draconic teeth. "You won't regret choosing me, I promise! Let's kick some tail together!" He came off as rather confident and outgoing suddenly, the idea of being able to put his powers to use for once both making him incredibly nervous...yet both incredibly excited at the same time. He would make his teammates proud! For 1-A!
"Also, pineapple on pizza sounds a bit gross, so let's avoid that." He snickered a little at his small joke, showing off his goofier side.

The bus was as full as it would get today as Jack hurried into the vehicle, moments behind Graham himself. Quite the vice-president Karen had found herself, though he didn't have much of a right to complain seeing the lack of a significant time gap between their two arrivals. Either way, there were better ways to spend his time than mentally considering the quality of his dear classfellows, such as paying close attention to the supervising teacher's words. As the bus sped off the UA premises, the captivatingly bizarre Mr Jaeger took it upon himself to explain a few things.
It would be no mere camping trip, as one could well have expected after paying any sort of attention to the peculiarity of all context applicable, examples too numerous to name. There would be a game, a team-based card-capturing one. Well, the teacher had Graham from the word 'game'. Scavenging for resource points, fending off the villain stalking them, and eventually taking out the opposing team, it all sounded like it would make great fun. So who would the leaders be? Of course, he wouldn't decline such a position, but Luka and Kazu it would be. Understood. He didn't know either of them in the slightest, so whether or not they'd make solid leadership decisions would be for them to see. The teacher's last question was a silly one, pineapple on pizza. Not even worth the effort of debating the answer to such a query.
A projection appeared, for the formation of teams. Names, pictures, and numerical scores, presumably. He had four, which most people seemed to have except for of course the impeccable Karen. Also, Jack, featuring a strangely staggering thirteen points. He did have more experience than the rest of the class, supposedly, but the rest's experience more than threefold? To be fair, he'd never seen the chap in action, they might all be crushed under the heel of the mighty dragon king!
In the meantime, teams had been made, with Kazu, Karen and Jack on one side and everyone else, including Graham, on the other. Everyone except 'Scylla', who was apparently a mystery factor of sorts. Well, at the very least they had a definitive advantage in numbers. But, as according to legend the great philosopher Plato once spoke: team members should be weighed, not counted. Not the exact quote, perhaps, but it wouldn't have made sense if he used words at the moment, obviously. The point system was presumably designed around this concept, and if the teachers were accurate in their assessments, there should be no balance issues at all.
Now all they had to wait for was reaching the destination, where they could finally start this exercise they were promised. The battles would be glorious, and he was already thinking of ways to apply his quirk to the problems at hand, like bending his knives- his knives. He didn't bring any of his knives. He didn't have anything made of carbon, at all. This may pose a problem, but nothing a little online searching couldn't mend, or that was what his only hope was fixed on. He could swear he'd read a slight fraction of soil was elemental carbon, but he would rather know for certain. It'd likely be no more than a few grammes in any given area, but he shouldn't need much more lest he wished to act fancy. He'd take anything over nothing, was what it came down to.

Jaeger couldn't help but smile at the thought of all the questions that might be floating in the minds of the students in the buss, after all it were the uncertain elements of a journey that turned it into an adventure! The first to inquire with some questions of her own was Karen, the girl's first question being quite the logical one.
"They don't have to carry it, although I would advise against the idea of hiding it somewhere~" His smile turned into a grin as if he was providing a warning upon which he would answer the next question of the girl. "That is up to your team to decide, if they see more merit in gaining the aid of the rogue element in order to best their opponent's team, or try to join forces with their opponents and fight the rogue element together is all up to you~"
Isaac's question that followed made Jaeger shake his head lightly in return. "While the nodes have a list of items programmed into them, that you can easily select from, you can make a custom order, just note those will take longer to fulfill."
The man mused softly as he watched the bus leave Musutafu's outskirts, and it was then that the party would truly begin. Those perceptive enough would notice that there was not a single vehicle driving along the roads they were taking, and soon it would become clear why exactly this was the case. They were driving along the outskirts of a giant forest as Jaeger gestured in the distance. "Over there in that forest our training exercise will take place. And if you look on your right we have..." Jaeger turned toward the right side of the buss and blinked in confusion as up on the hill stood three figures, one of them unmistakable the kunoichi from the picture, but at the same time there were two other figures, one a giant of a man, clad in the attire of a shinobi while the figure at the other side of the kunoichi looked like they might had been female.
"Oooy Spymaster, did you invite your friends?"
Jaeger asked in a playful jest when all of a sudden the giant ninja slammed his hands onto the ground, a tremor rocking the ground as two large slabs of earth blocked the way forward and backward. To make matters worse the kunoichi in the middle raised both hands toward the bus, a flurry of slime wrapping around the bus like a cocoon, and if anyone was foolish enough to try to harm it, they would notice it was as tough as iron!
"I take that back: NEVER INVITE YOUR FRIENDS ON OUR TRIPS SPYMASTER!"
Because the last kunoichi tapped her foot on the ground as a literal stream of mud came crashing onto the cocooned-buss, sending it reeling over the side of the road and making the bus plunge into the depths of the forest...
It seemed this Survival Camp had finally began in earnest!
(Feel free to post your reactions, but they should all end with the character likely losing consciousness during the crash. I will give instructions for the next part of the camp, where you will be divided into smaller groups~ please look forward to it~)

Kumoko continued to listen as Jaeger-sensei answered the various questions some of the other students were asking. The girl wondered whether she should speak up and ask something too. But most of her questions were being answered, and she had a feeling that whatever questions remained would be answered as soon as the exercise began.
The spider-headed girl began to glance outside the window to look at the scenery as the bus kept on moving. The lack of other vehicles on the road intrigued the girl, but she paid it no mind. Kumoko smiled once she saw the distant trees of the forest. She couldn't wait to head inside. This was going to be such a fun trip! ...Hopefully.
Upon hearing Jaeger-sensei talk, Kumoko looked in the direction he was mentioning. She was confused when he stopped talking mid-sentence. He then asked Spymaster if he invited his friends. She was intrigued. Were these newcomers a part of this exercise? Just how many surprises were in store for the students?
But then it soon became clear that this was just the beginning.
A sudden tremor. Kumoko could not help but let out a high-pitched scream in surprise. But this was no mere quake. The spider-headed girl then watched in shock as two slabs of earth blocked the way forward and back. There was no escape! To make matters worse, the bus was then being wrapped by some sort of ...slime? Like a cocoon. They were trapped!
Kumoko was beginning to panic. Just what was going on? Was this all part of the exercise? Or was this an unexpected villain attack? The poor girl tried her best to calm down, but to no avail. It didn't help that a sudden stream of mud came crashing into the bus. The force of the crash and the sudden slam was enough to send the poor girl off of her seat, sending her straight into the wall of the bus interior. She did not have enough time to brace for impact.
What happened next was unknown to Kumoko, as this was when everything faded to black. The poor girl had lost consciousness.

Isaac was pretty content with the answer to his question. Good to know that they could order whatever they wanted even if it did take that little bit longer to arrive. It really opened up the possibilities for the trip! He was finding himself becoming more and more excited as the bus traveled along the road out of the city. Although he really wanted to just go around and talk to everyone it was pretty early and he didn't want to be a bother. Besides his eyes were fixed out the window to get a look at the passing structures he had rarely seen outside of Mustafasu. One thing he thought was odd was the lack of traffic on the roads. Usually he wouldn't notice such a thing but with how smoothly they were moving, not even running into a single red light or meeting any oncoming traffic or pedestrians it raised a few red flags in the irish lad's head. Even if it was early it's not like commuters going to and from work should surely be driving around? Yet there was no sign of anything like that. Instinctively making sure his seat belt was on tight he moved himself in his seat until he was comfortable. [break][break] Keeping his gaze out the window, he noticed right away the three figures in the distance. Jaegar's tour guide routine soon pointed out these people too, even mentioning if the other sensei Spymaster had brought some of his friend along. But these people were not friendly as everyone would soon find out. The bus came to a violent stop but thanks to the seatbelt Isaac wasn't flung too far forward, but the sudden jolt did cause quite a bit of discomfort, not to mention the actual belt itself dug into him as he lurched forward. Not being able to fully see what had happened he could only assume that the bus was stopped by one of the figures. Meanwhile the other two began to act while Jager began to shout in distress which overall wouldn't help the mood of the bus. [break][break] With the bus being covered in a huge layer of slime it was next to impossible to see out of the windows leaving Isaac feeling increasingly more worried. Kumoko's scream also made matters feel that much more dire as he sat glued to his seat (figuratively.) Although his vision out of the bus was obscured he could tell what was happening. Well he could tell that after being hit with something hard they began to fall off the cliff they were driving beside! It was like being on a roller coaster. Isaac could feel the weight of gravity affect his whole body. Yet it remained fastened to the seat due to the seat belt and now due to his glue that he secreted from his hands to reassure himself he was staying stuck to the seat. Unable to keep it in any longer he also shouted at the top of his lungs as the bus fell downward. Would the slime the bus was drenched in protect them from the fall? Would everyone in the bus be safe after the fall even? What if some of the students didn't have their belts on? Silently praying to himself he looked around as much as he could to see if anyone wasn't latched to their seats by the belt. If they weren't Isaac would try shooting some of his glue their way so they could stick themselves to something solid to prepare for the impact. Maybe things wouldn't be as great as he first thought...

Hmmmmmmm. Two people. That's um.
Hmm.
Now that he has explained it in full, Kaz is starting to rethink his position on immediately going for the highest point-ranked people here. Now that everyone knows he picked, it's a bit weird to think he had that much power. First this weird kunoichi person, and now this? What is the true purpose of this selection process? Is it to shine a light on other people's preferences and choices, and judge them accordingly? if so, he kinda messed up by showing them he picked those with bigger numbers. It's like a sort of weird power level, now that its explained. Which...kinda sucks to be honest? Why label them with points? It seems a a bit arbitrary. Then again, it was all due to selection. He picked the higher value first, and went down the list. If he went the other way, he wouldn't be able to select Jack. It's a weird system, he ponders as Jaeger explains more of it and answer everyone else's questions.
Of course, as he pondered more about it, his thought process was immediately stopped as they were shown the field where they would be doing this activity. It all looked nice and a great place to practice, he pondered to himself. Well, time to sleep more, he nods to himself and gets ready to put on his sleep mask and...wait what is happening? The bus started to shake, some people were yelling, and its slowing down. "What the..." he says to himself...and then as he takes off his sleep mask again sees the slime covering up the windows. He can only look at it in confusion as he then looks at Elise, who has the power of slime as well. Is she doing th-
"W-wait, what is going on!" He says in confusion. He looks to Isaac's direction, then at Karen's, then at Jacks, all while trying to hold onto his book on one arm and the bag on the other. Although his priorities lie more with his book, oddly enough. "This isn't good, this isn't good, this isn't good..." He mutters to himself. Mentally he's trying to justify it. It's all just part of the trip, he tells himself. It's nothing weird, he tells himself. It's not a group of sudden villains making their grand appearance and about to kill them, he tells hims- alright that's a bit dark, knock it off brain.
With that simple command, it does so by letting him feel the crash, knocking him out.
...Luckily the kid is durable due to his metal...but still.

Jack tapped his fingers lightly on his legs as he listened patiently to the rest of Jaeger's explanation. The idea of hiding their did start to turn cogs inside the boy's head. That may actually be a good idea, especially since he and Karen were the only ones who could fly. Maybe somewhere high up might be a good idea...? Jack decided to file the idea away for later, when he, Kaz, and Karen were all alone. He felt a bit anxious about being the 'strong one' of the team still, but he was determined to show that the amount of points he was given wasn't just for show.
The idea of the 'rouge element' caught Jack's attention as well. He didn't know if their team had enough strength to take them on properly, but maybe...just maybe, if they could think of a strategy, it would be beneficial to them. He was coming up with a few ideas himself, most of which involved some sort of trap or distraction, but he would worry about that later. The more important thing to worry about here was supplies. Mr. Jaeger did mention that they could make custom orders, but they would take longer...but would that extra time spent be worth it? He mused the idea in his head for a bit, trying to think of what they could use...
That is, until Jaeger apparently asked the 'Spymaster' if she had brought friends.
Jack snapped himself out of his thoughts, looking outside the window at the 3 figures that stood outside. One of them was definitely the rouge mentioned before, but...well, he didn't think even Jaeger knew that she would bring allies herself. The thought of potentially beating her seemed a lot slimmer by that alone...and what happened next seemed to fortify that thought.
Suddenly, the bigger person with the rouge slammed his fists on the ground, sending a tremor towards the bus, sending it flying. Along with this, a slimy-like substance along with mud covered the bus, and Jack already knew that trying to break through it would be pointless. He grit his teeth as he held onto his seat during the initial tumble, trying to think.
However, after barely even a second, his mind shifted to Hanami. While he did worry about Kaz's and Karen's safety as well, it was Jack's fault that she was even on this trip. If something happened to her...he didn't really know if he could forgive himself. He looked around desperately for her while the bus tossed and tumbled until he somehow managed to lock his gaze onto her. "Dammit...Hanami!" he called, and attempted to make his away towards her.
Now, in most circumstances, the idea of hugging a girl did make Jack relatively nervous. However, this wasn't like most circumstances, obviously. Once he got close enough, he would not only wrap his arms around her, but his wings and tail as well, attempting to prevent as much damage as possible towards her. He then used his Quirk to cover his body with hardened scales, trying to endure as they would likely toss and turn along the bus. "I-it's alright...I-I got you..." he mumbled through gritted teeth, the pain from being tossed around almost being enough to make him pass out.
This wasn't exactly an ideal start to their camping trip...and he felt like this was only the beginning.

Post by Isamu Iwamoto on Aug 4, 2019 21:26:34 GMT -4
Isamu had to admit that the little exercise that their Teacher's had prepared for them seemed rather interesting, if a little involved. A combination of point based team selections and seemingly no boundaries on how they could go about accomplishing their overall task was sure to spice things up a little. Though Isamu was somewhat miffed about his point value, at the end of the day he figured that it didn't really matter all that much. The point system likely didn't account for the individual themselves, only displayed combat power. Isamu would be the first to admit that it wasn't his strong suit, yet. It was something that he was constantly working on, striving to improve himself. His greatest strength was his versatility. There was almost no situation in which his Quirk couldn't be brought to bear. He always tried to be unpredictable when it came to Quirk based combat and his petals certainly helped in that regard.
He listened intently as other some of the other students in the bus asked various questions regarding the task ahead of them, any information they could gleam beforehand would be beneficial. Isamu's gaze fell briefly on the small, feminine form of the blue haired student who had both been elected as a Team Leader and who had then gone on to select Isamu as a member of said team. The fact that the boy didn't exactly have a choice in the matter, given that Kaz in a very Kaz-y move had immediately selected the two students with the highest point value, still Isamu was interested in him given the fact that they'd never met.
Isamu had almost tuned out the conversations going on around him, opting to simply stare out the window beside him at the scenery as it blurred by. Movement at the top of his vision caught his attention. Three strangely dressed individuals now stood atop a hill to the side of the bus. Isamu faintly heard their Teacher remark on their appearance but the words were lost on him, his attention was transfixed on the.....Ninja's he was looking at, a bad feeling forming in the pit of his stomach. Without warning one of the unknown assailants slammed their hands to the ground and immediately causing strong tremors. Two massive slabs of rock burst from the road ahead of the bus, blocking their path entirely. His eyes darted back towards the three figures just in time to see another of their number act, now coating their bus in a thick layer of.....slime?
Three figures, two attacks. Isamu didn't need to be told that their struggle wasn't over yet. Knowing that time was certainly not on their side Isamu quickly decided on a course of action. He pulled himself to his feet, using the seats either side of him to propel himself forward and down the isle of the bus towards roughly the middle in a few long strides. Even if he couldn't see it, Isamu could already hear the final attack heading their way and whatever it was, it didn't bode well. Wasting no more time, Isamu threw out both arms to his sides, pink Petals erupting from his arms and flowing rapidly around the bus. The windows were his main concern, broken glass would be danger soon enough and Isamu didn't exactly enjoy the idea of rolling around on it. The seats all round however, they wouldn't be quite so simple to avoid when tossed around like ragdolls.
The kinds of buses that the group found themselves on didn't have sea-belts, so Isamu figured he'd make some. As his petals spread he tried his best to form a kind of protective blanket over those near him, it was far from perfect but it should help keep them in their seats as much as possible. Special attention was paid to Jack who Isamu watched throw himself over another student, grabbing hold of her. He gestured an arm in his friends direction a stream of petals beginning to attach themselves to the Dragon Boy to hold both him and his charge in place just as the bus was struck.
Isamu had been so focused on securing those around him, that he had neglected to do the same for himself. When the bus was struck and sent flying off the edge of the road there was almost no force holding the tall boy down. He was thrown violently to the side and set careening into the hard seats. Pain blossomed in his left arm on impact and almost drowned out by the myriad of noises around a loud pop could faintly be heard before Isamu was slammed into the floor of the bus between two seats. With a passing thought Isamu finally secured himself to the floor with his petals before his world was upended, literally.

Ahh... How lucky can she be. [break][break] Just as the girl was thinking about taking a nap until the bus arrived at the destination, so that she could recover some of the energy she didn't recover the night before, the trip itself had to make that impossible. This meant that Hanami likely was paying little to no attention to all of the questions being answered, as well as the fact the bus moved in a road with no traffic whatsoever. Out of most of the other students, she was clearly the one who was going to catch more of a surprise. [break][break] Then, she felt it. The tremor that made the bus rock, causing her eyes to shoot wide open. An earthquake? At that very moment? Why now? Well, Japan wasn't foreign to such natural catastrophes, and it wasn't long before Hanami caught up to what was exactly happening. But then, it was proven. This wasn't just a normal earthquake. It was one being caused by an outside source. Even as the bus started to rock wildly, she was still able to notice the three strange figures through the window. 'Villains...?!' It was the immediate first thought that came to her head, not having been awake enough to listen to Jaeger talking to his buddy about 'inviting friends'. Fearing for her life and afraid that the bus might fall off to the forest, the blue-eyed teen allows her quirk to sprout out, her four white cable-like nerves quickly wrapping around nearby chairs and such, just as the bus starts to get covered in... Slime? [break][break] "...! Jack!" It was there and then when her friend and classmate sort of came to her rescue, embracing her in an attempt to soften the damage that would most likely be caused to her poor, frail body. [break][break] Unfortunately, after the stream of mud came crashing into the bus, both of them would most likely still be tossed and thrown around the vehicle, her tentacles clearly not being able to hold on for too long as she has to force them to release their hold on whatever structures they once held on to, afraid that they might get damaged. She'd need them for the rest of the trip, after all... If it was even going to resume itself. [break][break] In the end, for one reason or the other, everything blacks out. Hanami had also been a victim to an inevitable knockout.

It seemed they had quite a bit of free rein when it came to deciding how the teams would interact with each other. That meant it was perfectly viable for both teams to collaborate to pass with high scores. With all the unknown factors around, cooperating seemed like a much better approach in Karen's opinion. She would have to talk this over with Kaz later. For now the bus was on its way. Given the nature of the camp she figured she ought to take this opportunity to rest up until they arrived at the site. And so Karen didn't bother much with speaking to anyone instead engaging in meditative rest. To any onlookers it might have looked like she was sleeping except her posture wasn't in what you would consider a relaxed position. She was sitting up straight but with her eyes closed. It wouldn't have been strange if she suddenly started levitating from there. She was just barely paying attention to Jaeger-sensei's though she caught every word. It wouldn't be until he mentioned something about Spymaster-sensei's friends that Karen would feel compelled to briefly open her eyes to see what was up. She didn't really get a chance too. The next thing she knew the bus had come to a stop because of some obstructions on the road and something began to cover it from the outside. There wasn't much time to escape if they wanted to. This was an emergency and Karen activated her protective aura as soon as the danger became apparent. She then assumed a brace position with her arms protecting her head as the bus went for a tumble into the forest. The bus wasn't exactly full so she was unfortunately sitting alone and there was no one within arm's reach that she could have shared her aura with. "Brace yourselves everyone!"Her advice may have come too late but to anyone who heard and heeded it, they might just be able to avoid more serious injuries. She had done crash tests with her aura before and came out in not so bad shape. But this time this was the real deal. If she could avoid getting knocked out, that would help immensely with rescuing the others once the bus had come to a halt from its fall. She had to endure and hope for the best. They were all heroes in training. An accident like this is just one of many things they would have to know how to deal with.
