This is one Pikachu you don't want to pick up with your bare hands~
A strong blade, is a heartless blade It was a mantra, a chant, and a teaching that was deeply infused into the mentality of Mi Kobayashi. At some moments she was just an ordinary young woman, as she was right now. Having visited one of the various arcades in Kabukicho, the white-blond haired lass had been enjoying a session of playing a newly release video game. It was actually a pretty interesting one, a game that combined tactics, reflexes in a fighting game but also a luck-based approach in the form of a collectible card game of sorts. Its name? Super True Path Champions. While Mi had only recently been exposed to the existence of this game, the influence of her father and her fondness for the game ensured she had both a nice assortment of cards to play the game with, but also the trained reflexes from her training to use in this video game. From the movement of her fingers to the reactions of her opponents, it was clear that Mi was well-suited for this game. Even the character she had picked was quite ironic: a female swordswoman that specialized in elemental attacks to empower her swordsmanship! But this story wasn't about to be about Mi's gaming adventure, no it was what came afterward that would be the start of this story, of a most unexpected encounter. After having spend a hour or two at the arcade, Mi finally left the building, making her way along the alleys of Kabukicho when she noticed something peculiar: The amount of citizen walking around had steadily declined, to the point that once she arrived at a large plaza surrounded by some tall buildings, the girl was left all by herself, a most peculiar sight for sure. "This smells like..." A soft mutter escaped Mi's lips, and as she had anticipated from various alleys that bordered the plaza people started to flood in. It was clear to her, judging from the look in their eyes, the rather rebellious and punkish attires and the fact most of them were brandishing weapons like baseball bats, and some even actually carried actual bladed objects like knives with them! "An ambush yep~" One of the strangers, seemingly their leader judging from the fact he was actually wearing an attire which reminded Mi of a feudal period samurai, even straw hat included! The man rested a hand on the hilt of his sheathed katana and addressed the girl coldly. "You must be Mi, am I right?" The girl smiled calmly, as if she didn't feel threatened in the slightest. "Mi might be me~ Who knows?" Shrugging her shoulders Mi watched the samurai respond with a hearty chuckle of his own. "Not that it matters, I have to talk to your mother, where is she?" Mi's eyes narrowed slightly as she answered, her tone growing colder as she clearly was starting to lose her amusement. "Dunno, mom only shows up when she wants to." The samurai sighed in exhaustion, shrugging his shoulders lightly in response to her statement. "Very well, both of you have your use to my master either way. Whether you bring me to her, or she comes for you, I will get what I want, so be a good girl and come along quietly: Abandoned scion of the Shindou clan." A gesture was made by the man toward the four mooks in front of him, the motion being enough to make the men calmly approach her. In the end they saw no reason to fear her, in their eyes she was a girl without a weapon, and surely didn't have the strength to oppose a grown and physically fit man! The fools... Hearing the samurai's words Mi's eyes turned from a narrowed gaze into a venomous glare full of spite, her upper-body leaning slightly forwards as she shifted her footing, seemingly adapting a stance which was reminiscent of a samurai preparing to draw his katana from its sheath, but with no blade in sight this act merely amused the onlookers... till it was too late. "MY NAME IS MI KOBAYASHI!" An angry exclamation was made by the girl as her hand lowered to the side of her waist, fingers seemingly clenching around the air as she muttered coldly. "Jikishinkage-ryū... Raikou no Odori!" As she exclaimed the name of her technique and swept her arm to the side, a sudden flash of obsidian light came from her hand, followed by a rapid surge of lightning that danced across the air in front of her. To onlookers it might had looked like some sort of dance, the way the electricity zig-zagged through the air, slicing and cutting into the four encroaching mooks, almost like a serpent lashing at its prey! Of course, as one might had imagined the four mooks, who were entirely off-guard and unprepared, found themselves cut by what felt like a real sword, collapsing onto the ground with pained cries as the samurai tilted his straw hat lightly, a single eye gazing from underneath it. The girl was wielding a katana as black as the night, sparks of electricity surging around it while the samurai hummed softly. "You denounce them, and yet brandish their techniques so readily, ironic if you ask me~" Of course those words only infuriated Mi further who refuted his statement nearly instantly. "I am the heiress of Thunder Shock, daughter of the Kobayashi clan! If you make that mistake one more time, I will CUT YOU DOWN!" And yet, it seemed that amidst this mysterious confrontation, a certain vigilante would find himself in a most peculiar situation to say the least. To the eye of the onlooker this might at first had looked like a girl trying to defend herself from kidnappers, and yet it was much more complicated than that. This was a blood feud, a conflict that ran deeper than simple ambitions or desires, but it was yet to be discovered just how dangerous of a conflict was about to be stirred...
