APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
When one imagines a girl like Mirai, it is quite easy to get the wrong assumption and start thinking of some super tall and muscular woman full of tattoos and scars, but perhaps that is why the first encounter with Mirai often is so entertaining to watch in terms of reactions. Despite being nineteen years old, Mirai is only a meager one meter and precisely sixty centimeters tall, a height some might call her short for her age, and with her slender build figure and fair complexion, not many would think she is the type of girl the rumors make her out to be. However, a mere look at her face clearly changes that impression. Her big eyes are quite narrowed, with large yellow pupils that often got a glint of mischievous excitement in them, and with her thin eyebrows, she does give off a bit of a punkish or tomboyish impression.
Going a bit further into describing her, Mirai has long blond hair of a very light color, which is usually kept in a flowing and rather stylish manner.
On terms of her clothes, Mirai is one who forsakes fashion in favor of comfort and ease of wearing in combat, and as such often wears a low cut magenta tube top which comes with a low-set purple harem pants. She also often tends to wear long dark grey wristbands, which according to some are actually often variating in weight and to finish her outfit she wears a pair of pointy dark grey shoes.

Personality:
The first thing that people likely notice when meeting her, is that Mi, or Mirai as she prefers to be called would easily be compared to her father. As the daughter of two influential and powerful individuals in the underworld, Mirai is a confident and clever young woman who is just as intimidating as she is calculating. However, while her father is known to adopt an incredibly cold and serious attitude Mirai's terrifying nature is found in the fact that she can keep smiling and talking to a subordinate in a sweet and friendly manner even as she is preparing to punish them. However, to talk more about Mirai into detail: As a person Mirai is quite brave, as to be expected of a crime lord's daughter who was able to rally up a gang of her own even at the tender age of 14, being someone who doesn't shy away from a challenge, it is clear that Mirai is the type of woman who is quite difficult to intimidate, in fact it almost seems as if overwhelming odds invigorate her even more!
On top of that, likely because of the Kobayashi blood that runs in her veins, Mirai is an ambitious woman. She is willing to go far and sacrifice much to get what she wants, although where most seek power, wealth or fame, what Mirai seeks is the acknowledgment of her father, and as such often is known to have a somewhat competitive streak to her in order to prove herself superior to others, all for the sake of impressing her 'old man'. Being reliable and trustworthy might be two things that sound odd for the daughter of a crime lord to have, but considering she was born and raised among Yakuza and not ordinary street thugs, Mirai has a certain code or creed that she follows, one such rule is that once she gives her word, she will rarely take it back. After all, breaking your promise to a partner is a stigma, a taboo that is almost as bad as betraying the family, and as such while she might not be quick to promise her friendship or partnership, once she gives you that you can be sure that you got as much loyalty as one could possibly get in the underworld.
Being a somewhat young individual Mirai is pretty cheerful and could be considered quite humorous, often the type to smile or try to lift the situation with a good joke, she doesn't mind being the comedy relief if she didn't already make one of her old man's subordinates into it.
Mirai sometimes also shows a certain degree of arrogance to her, the type who believes herself to be superior to most people, this sometimes finds itself as a serious flaw because she doesn't plan for things to go wrong in the way they sometimes happen when she gets over her head in troubles. She is also prone to be somewhat rebellious, having difficulties handling authority and tends to ignore orders from anyone who isn't her father, who seems to be the only person who is immune to her rebellious streak. Although this doesn't mean that she is incapable of collaborating with others, as she is smart enough to see merit in certain suggestions and plans.
As someone who was raised from a creme de la creme union between two powerful Quirkers, Mirai is quite judgemental in the sense that she doesn't handle incompetence well, even from herself (as if that ever happened) but she can be especially intolerant toward those who show cowardice, while she is the type to admire those with the courage to stand up when the odds are stacked against them, cowardice is the worst type of sinful behavior one could show in her opinion. Cowards are worse than weaklings...
Associated with her judgemental nature, Mirai can often be quite Ruthless in her approach, the type to punish incompetence or lash out against those that slighted her, this often translates to her Vindictive nature where she is often vengeful and spiteful to those that wronged her.
While perhaps an odd trait, Mirai loves food, especially meat. The type who enjoys a good steak, nothing pleases her more than to enjoy a well-cooked meal after a hard day, and she is known to show more tolerance to people who are capable of cooking as a result. Mirai also is known to have a fondness for people she deems as powerful or strong, and while there are many ways for a person to be considered strong, to obtain Mirai's interest like this is quite unhealthy, since she often longs to test her skills against such people, so unless one likes to fisticuffs they might be in for an unpleasant surprise.
Perhaps a part of her Quirk, but Mirai loves the sound of thunder and lightning, it is one of the few moments she can feel truly relaxed and at ease, losing some of her outrageous adrenaline rushes and become a bit calmer and controlled than normally.
Mirai also has a deeply ingrained interest in martial arts, especially those that don't use any weaponry, and as a result is often found watching movies within the genre, or going outside challenging dojos to test their strength and see if she can incomperate their skills into her own.
While one more question why she likes her father so much, it is likely because aside from being a blood relative, she can associate with his behavior quite well, and as a result admires and respects him, quite the rare traits for Mirai to feel toward someone.
Mirai is someone who is often results-focused, and as a result she holds little tolerance for incompetence, often feeling the urge to lash out and punish those who failed to do their job, albeit she can be more lenient to those who were stopped by someone she deems powerful enough to be an obstacle. Just like her father, Mirai doesn't tolerate snitches and traitors, perhaps a part of why she is feeling somewhat enstrangled toward her step-sister Yuri, who she believes betrayed their family by leaving their father's side.
However, little compares to her dislike of the government, her clashing attitude toward authority and her own code where Might makes Right often conflicting with the laws that are set in place. Still, this like turns into a pure hatred when confronted by those arrogant self-proclaimed 'saviors' of society, her dislike of heroes having reached an entire new level after the fight between her father and the number one hero Darkshine.
Finally, as someone who admires and respects courage, there is nothing as sinful as cowardice in Mirai's eyes.

HISTORY
Power, it is something that is always sought after. No matter the era or civilization, there will always be people who seek power for various reasons, and this story is no exception. The name 'Thunder Shock' is likely one that stirs a reaction from a lot of people, and despite his might and influence one could still argue that Thunder Shock is a seeker of power, and so was one of his partners. One partner, in particular, her name has disappeared from the records, but she often was referred to as the 'Berserker' due to the savage way of fighting that she used. The Berserker was also a seeker of power, and while she possessed an impressive physical augmentation quirk, she was not satisfied with the peak of her ability, believing that it was not the limit, and considering the rare but known tradition of two powerful Quirk users their union sometime leading to the birth of a powerful child who wielded the Quirks of both parents the Berserker became adamant about finding a powerful man who wielded a Quirk which would grant her the means of creating a child who would have an even greater potential than her parents.
In the end, the Berserker used her connections in the crime world to get into contact with Thunder Shock, and after some skillful 'negotiations' got what she wanted, although she tried to keep her pregnancy a secret from Thunder Shock, knowing all too well that if things succeeded the man would come to claim the child as his own. Going into hiding the Berserker raised her daughter 'Mi' in secret, and where other children would be send to elementary school Mi instead learned the minimal basics and instead was forced some special 'course' of education so to speak. She was taught how to fight, and how to steal, how to kill and how to not care about it at all. Being that her mother was a hitwoman, it was to be expected that Mi's upbringing wasn't exactly a spoiled or pampered one, in fact, affection was foreign to her.
But one thing that always made her wonder was where her father had been, a question that the Berserker always avoided answering. At the age of six Mirai's quirk finally manifested, and just as her mother expected, the girl possessed a most peculiar power. Simply said, while she inherited her father's ability to generate electricity, it had mutated in a way that allowed Mi to solidify the electricity and employ it for all sorts of things, this fascinated her mother immensely, who passed the techniques of her ancestors onto the girl. However, four years after the emergence of her quirk the Berserker made a fatal mistake: she underestimated the curiosity of a teenager, and the rebellious girl escaped to the streets.
Often she would sneak out of her mother's hideout, causing troubles in the neighborhood, and as was typical among thugs, her power quickly drew weaker hoodlums to her side, who saw her as their boss or leader, or gods forbid it, their 'Aneki'. However, her little escapades and displays of her Quirk drew the interest of the Kobayashi family, who upon Thunder Shock's orders were sent to investigate. Of course, Thunder Shock didn't like the idea of a daughter of his own being kept hidden from him, but the rumors of her powers intrigued him.
And so at the age of seventeen something happened, a certain event which changed the life of Mi remarkably. One day, as she returned from some misadventures on the streets the hideout of her mother, was set ablaze and the woman was fighting against several unfamiliar figures. Barging in there Thunder Shock recognized the girl from the intel he had received and introduced himself, the news he was her father being enough to shock her emotionally for a moment, but it compared little to the feeling fo anger she felt when he told her that her mother had kept her existence a secret from him, wanting to use her for her own twisted desires.
Now she thought about it, not once did her mother show her any form or sign of affection. Was she truly the Berserker's daughter? Or was she merely a tool meant to be used? Whether it was true or not, when Thunder Shock told her he had come to 'bring her home to her family' Mi felt something unusual surge within her, and as the Berserker bested Thunder Shock's subordinates Mi was forced to watch her mother fight against the man who claimed to be her father.
It was an intense battle, one with herself at stake, and yet it seemed that within her heart Mi already had made a choice. While Thunder Shock was more versatile, the Berserker kept tanking his damage till the point where he finally needed a moment to regain his strength, and then the Berserker struck. With a powerful lunge of her arm she forced the man onto the ground, a balled up fist raised with the intention to bash in his skull when Mi snapped.
A loud warcry escaped from the girl as lightning erupted from her body, and then she disappeared. A sudden bolt of lightning pierced through the Berserker's chest, and as Mirai reemerged behind her mother, Thunder Shock took the opportunity to grasp a hold of the Berserker with both his hands and unleashed one of his strongest shocks through her body, enough to fry her brain. With his opponent bested he looked at the girl, who seemingly was stunned by her own actions and carefully raised a hand, a light pat on her head following as if he told her she had done a good job and asked her what her name was. In response, the girl only answered with 'Mi'. In the end, she had never been given her family name, and so the man answered her with a smile.
"Then let's go home, 'Kobayashi Mi'" And with those words Mi chased after the man, the man who would cause the two of them to become the embodiment of the saying 'Lightning strikes twice'!
