 at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The young woman could no longer keep it a secret that she was pregnant. For once she was very skinny, comparing her waist to that of the famous wasp-waist that she had adored as a child. The adult knew that it was not healthy at all but she would not make it that extreme but her figure had been perfect for it as well. Not anymore, because she had a prominent baby bump. She was eighteen weeks pregnant and even if she had panicked the first few months, being scared and not ready, that felt such a long time ago. She got used to the fact and okay with the fact. Which explained why she was really exicted today. She had a check up on her baby and they might be able to tell her the gender of the little one. That's basically what she called their baby for now. She had not worried too much about it. She knew she should have breakfast but she wasn't hungry, she was too excited. "Hurry Gil!" she called out from the foyer of their house, they had to go and get the cab before they would be too late for the hospital, it was not his fault if they were late, it would be hers as it had taken her ages to actually get out of the bed. But it also took a whole of a lot more effort than before, it felt so strange how the little one had grown in the last couple of weeks or well her bump in that matter. She waited for her fiance to get to her before kissing him another good morning kiss and hurry to the taxi. More miracles were happening now that she was pregnant, she was literally wearing jeans. Yes pregnant jeans but she had not wore them before and a black and white striped t-shirt and her hair in a ponytail and her glasses back on her nose. She disliked her contacts only more. Within twenty minutes they were in the city and at the hospital and G really had to help her out now, how bad would it be when she was at the end of her pregnancy, maybe, even if she accepted it, she should not think about it. The woman could still walk to her appointment, they were nicely on time, not too early and not too late as she hoped and thus they did not have to wait long. Which was good because Hanako had no idea what to tell Gil right now, he would probably see how excited and nervous she was. The echo would be fine, it would just be a bit cold, she could just ask for advice about how sore her body felt from time to time and the like. They would ask how she was doing, put the gel on her stomach and show her the little echo. She couldn't get her eyes away from the screen.

"Hurry Gil!" Hana rushed him as they were running late
"Im hurrying Im hurrying" He said as he put on his jacket and rushed to the foyer. Once they reunited he held her hand, the two kissed and then walked out with her to the cab. Of course, he did rush a bit, not too much. When they got in the cab, G complimented her look "You look stunning today" he had to say something about the jeans
20 or so minutes later, they were in the city. G now went into overdrive to help out his fiance. He did whatever she demanded or needed. The couple then arrived right on time for their appointment. He was just as nervously excited as her. They didnt know what to expect. G was filled with a certain adrenaline due to all this hype. Once their appointment started, the doctor did their techno thing checkup on Hana. G didnt understand anything that they were doing. He just gently held her hand and observed. And he also observed the screen,as well as Hana and the doctor, but he didnt understood a thing on the screen. Now he was more nervous then excited.
The doctor started to speak
"Congratulations, it's a..."
"ITS A...!!!" G mentally repeated

The doctor said and smiled at the two of them, explaining what was visible on the echo and Hanako her eyes wondered and squeezed Gil's hand softly. Before she finally looked at him with a happy smile and twinkling eyes, the baby was very healthy and she was so happy. She was also happy that they got here on time, that he cared for her whatever stupid thing she wanted, such as food in the middle of the night and he went to get it after he was awake enough to understand what she wanted, maybe she should do that again because she secretly enjoyed it a lot. Probably not on a day where he had to wake up early for work. "Are you happy?" She whispered to him when the doctor went to get a picture of the echo and she was getting the jeans back on. She was surprised how fast such a meeting would go but it might be just her excitement. They would get a picture and she was excited for that as well. She had her hands on her baby bump and whispered sweet little nothings to her little boy. She wondered how he would look, will he be as tough as his dad, will he want to be a hero like his sisters? She could not wait to meet him, which was a strange sense in her mind but she wanted to write it down in her little book and simply look at the little socks she had bought and it was such a rollercoaster today that she wanted to see if she could manage to sneak some time away. She got up now and checked if her shirt was correct and brushed the hair out of her face and waited for the doctor, when she returned, she gave Hanako the picture and she was absorbed by the picture again and looking at their little baby. Thats what the doctor said when they finished their sentence. The last word just echoed into G's mind. As the doctor explained things to Hana. G was just there, lost in thought hearing the word boy echo in his head. He bit his lip as he worried how would he raise that! He soon snapped out of his thoughts when he felt Hana squeeze his hand. He looked at her and her beautiful twinkling eyes, her smile was to die for. He heard their baby was very healthy and they were both so happy. G might even have a tear welling up in his eye, that he quickly wiped away before anyone could see. No one was allowed to see tears, nor worry, nor anything. Just good things! ONLY GOOD THINGS TODAY!!
Hana then whispered him a question when the doctor stepped away to get stuff. He didnt wanna ruin this with his fears and worry, so he just smiled, nodded and kissed Hana on the forehead. After the doctor got them the picture of the thing, he saw Hana place her hands on her belly and whispered the cutest things ever. He placed his hand on her belly, but didnt say anything to their baby boy. Mostly because he didnt know what to say. He never got any nice words, the only words he could think of were bad words. Thats why he removed his hand from Hana's belly. He didnt wanna mess this up.
G helped Hana up, she then checked her shirt and fixed her hair. They waited together for the doctor who gave Hana the thing. G just held Hana there. Actually, he wasnt sure who was holding who. Was he holding Hana or was she holding him from collapsing down on the ground now

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away Maybe she looked like she did not notice a thing. That she only got eyes for the result of their child. She had not had any preferences but it felt like coming back to earth now she knew a little bit more. He was going to be the best boy in the world. They would raise him proper. She could imagine him showing off at the age of four that he got a quirk and it made her smile and as she said all those sweet little things. She noticed Gil pulling his hand away and she worried but asking here changed nothing. He would not say in front of their doctor. Heck he might not even tell her. However, he had told her before. Men were no good, is that what he thought? As she looked at the picture. Trying to see what the doctor pointed out before she simply leaned against her fiance. What a word, what thoughts. It was clear to see on her face that she was happy. She took her diary to make a new appointment with the doctor and thanked her for today before turning back to Gil. Tiptoeing to kiss him on his cheek, she laughed because the doctor said he was spacing out from excitement probably. It was the best reaction even if she was worried. Did he look pale or was she looking for excuses. They could leave about another few minutes later and would have to get a taxi. As she stood in front of the hospital she tugged on his hand. "Gil, sweetie are you okay? You are so quiet." It was probably nothing, she was making things up afterall he did kiss her forehead and smile at her. Oh ok. Thank god, they left to get their taxi. As they stood now infront of the hospital, Hana tugged his hand and asked if he was ok. He was quiet. Oh god, she probably noticed it
"Yeah, Im breathless. Speechless. And also a bit tired. Exhausted from all the excitement" he said
But in reality, he was scared, mortified. A son? He was never gonna be a good father! He doesnt know anything about raising a boy. What if he teaches the son wrong? What if he's too harsh? Or what if the son is scarred because he'd just see G scared like this? No no no!!! This cant do! This cant be!
Worry and fear took over G. He could see it now, the son feeling guilty for existing or for scaring G. Everything G does now is just wrong! He'll never do this right! He'll never be a good that. He's a failiure, a disappointment, a weakling, an embarassment, a coward, a pathetic coward, a loser, an incompitent. All those words, they just swirled in his head. Thats what he was now and what he was gonna be in the future. He was gonna be the worst parent ever.

She stopped looking for a taxi as he deserved all her attention as she wanted to make sure. She wasn't sure what exactly he thought but exhausted from all the excitement was more her words and she was the pregnant one. She felt so overwhelmed by fear and worry that she almost cried. Stupid hormones at this point, too many thoughts that made her happy and worried at the same time. She tugged again on his hand to get him out of his thoughts so she could huddle in his arms, which did not fit as perfect anymore now the baby bump was in the way, "Gil?" She said softly, she had to pick the right words, she just had to do what he did to her. What were the words he told her again? Would she able to repeat that. To give him the feeling that he felt back then. She wanted to say so much, "Don't worry, I need you." She said softly still, looking up and kissing his cheek every time she finished a sentence. "You will be the best daddy." Surely he would be, he would maybe not make all the choices right but neither would she, the baby time was a first for them after all. "You will be his hero, someone to give the right example, yes? He will be the second best man in the world." She tried to say it as if it was not simply a question but just stating facts, "You will, after all, be the first." It was cliche, but maybe that was what a man needed from time to time, she kissed him, a soft sweet peck if she said so herself. "We aren't the copies of the past, Gil. If that was the case than... than... I wouldn't be a good example either." She would want a second child which made her ignore the first, she would allow to be blind and to hit her child when it simply opened its mouth. If her boy was as curious as her, it would be a hell, but she did not want that. "We are the examples of how it will be right, baby, can't you see?" She tugged him againto once again bring him to reality. Now... has he been holding his breath the entire time, because right now he sure felt out of breath. Hana called out to him, in his good ol nickname.
"Y-yeah?" he asked.
Hana thought a bit and went to pick words. And then said some stuff. Like how he will be the best daddy. She continued to reassure him. He hugged her as she spoke, he rubbed her back as he hugged her. God, he feels like he could just melt into her arms. He doesnt wanna leave her. This would be better if they were in bed cuddling. And not outside a dinky hospital
"I dont know if I'll be a good dad. I'll just end up scarring him." G said, as he was still in that dark hole with those swirling negative words. But no, he couldnt let that happen. He needed to get out of that mindset, right now since Hana was watching. He had to do something good.
He remembered how he pulled his hand away earlier. He... he had to get used to it. So he placed his hand on her belly once again
"A...b-boy....a.... boy... a son" he said as he had his hand on her belly, where their little boy is

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away To be honest, she found it on one hand very cute and attractive that he was stuttering and stammering. Her man a bit afraid and thus sensitive, she was totally into that for now. She wanted him to feel good and confident about himself because she was very convinced he would be fine. He cared so much about his own image for the child as well as that for the child that there was no time or place to not consider that he would be good. Maybe that's what she should say. She was glad how he hugged her and rubbed her back and wrapped her arms around his neck to keep him close, kissing him on the cheek again and again for as long as she could reach. "You won't, you know why?" She whispered, "Because you care too much. You already care now that you will do the wrong thing. It convinces me you will only do the right thing." She smiled at Gil when he had his hand on her bump and tried to say it, she nodded, yes, they were getting a son. She placed her own small hand softly over his and smiled up until she felt something weird. Well, weird, she did not know how to describe it, like bubbles, a feeling she did not know how to describe else. She did not feel it in her hand, but she felt it again. She raised her own hand and stared at her baby bump. "Was that a..." She could not form the word, was their baby boy kicking her? She looked back up at Gil, not entirely sure what she should say or do, it felt very weird and it was such a strange timing that she almost wanted to run inside to ask if this was normal. The doctor had said that it would be good to talk to the baby more often, which was what she had done but was the baby now asking for more words when Gil spoke to her bump? MADE BY VEL OF GS |

Hana was apparently convinced that he was gonna be a good dad, because of all of his worries. G didnt quite believe that. Not yet at least. He needed to overcome his fears, hence why he placed a hand on her belly and said to himself that they were gonna get a son. A boy. But as he said that to himself, he felt something....a-and again. It was scary. It felt like a jumpscare! But G knew that that was. It was him! The boy! He was sure of it!.... Oh god, it was the boy!!!!! G was once again scared. "Was that a..."
"...a heart attack? Y-Yes it was" G told Hana
Because thats what G felt now when he felt the kick that the boy gave. He didnt understand what that was. Was that a sign? A sign of what? What did they have to do?
"What do we have to do??" he asked Hana, she was the mother. So what does a baby need? What does the kick mean? What does the baby need? What did the doctors tell her?? He still held his hand there, unsure what do to, should he move it?
Where was that damn taxi?! G couldnt stand on his feet, he needed to sit after this!

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She stared at him wondering if he was serious and she could not help but giggle until she could not stop laughing. "Oh baby, you look so adorable." She said between her laughs, trying to stop it and calm down and not laugh about it again, which meant she had to bite her lip and stare at him with twinkling eyes, after those two kicks it was over, for now, a little and she was okay with that because the sensation felt very weird. She smiled at G and shook her head lightly, she was glad he had not removed his hand yet though. He was probably giving it a try even if he was not convinced of that himself yet. "You will be okay." She said with a little snicker and held his other hand and kissed it. He seemed to be really scared about it for a moment. "What do we do now?" She looked at him surprised and settled down, she knew that she should not have that rush-panic moment herself. "We just go home." She smiled some more after the look of surprise and waved for a taxi, which was the right timing. "I think you should talk to him a bit more, he seems to want to talk to you." she put her own free hand on the top of her belly and look at the black and white striped shirt that fitted her this way. The cab driver immediately arrived and she would try to open the door if G let her. "I could use some food, what about you?" She tried to distract him, "Maybe your son wants food too." She snickered again about it and would get into the taxi, as soon as Gil would be in the cab too, she would lean against him, she was glad that the nausea feeling had left her completely when she was driving. So much for that feeling. She should maybe not have skipped breakfast. She got up from leaning against his shoulder to kiss him quickly on the cheek before leaning back with her head on his shoulder. She could get used to this, but she hoped he would do too, maybe not a good moment to ask about names, he might have only thought about girl names. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

Yeap, his heart definitely skipped a beat when he felt that kick for the first time. He was surprised when Hana found him cute and the like. Hana looked beautiful, her eyes could make all his worries wash away. She soon repeated his question, what do they do now? Well, simple. They go home.
The taxi soon arrived and Hana said that he wants G to talk to him.
"The taxi driver??" G said confused and turned to look at the driver and almost immediatelly walked away. But Hana stopped him and held him by his hand. Thats when it clicked to G
"Oh.. the son" he turned around, back to Hana. Well.... he might as well try "......................hi.... sorry about that" god was that the most painfully awkward sentence ever
Soon they got to the taxi. Hana said she was hungry and maybe their son was too
"I couldnt blame him. I could also go for a bite to eat" when it came to bellies and stomachs. His was hungry and demanded food.
Suddenly Hana kissed him on the cheek before returning to rest her head on his shoulder. Now all G could think about was... food. God he was hungry now

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She was surprised how distracted her fiance could be as he asked the taxi driver and she hit him playfully and thus not hard on his upper arm, he already seemed to get to the point that he realized that she meant their son. The son... "Our son." She said pouting though because wasn't he the one to convince her to keep the baby and now he seemed to maybe regret that now that it was a boy. She did not know, she should not think so badly, he would be convinced at some point anyway, they were only at 18 weeks, that meant almost half way and they thus got still a time going. She smiled and shook her head when he apologized to the little bump but she would see in the future. She could imagine that they could try and talk to the baby before she would fall asleep. With that in mind, she could definitely use a nap considering how excited she was and how bad she slept. She shook her head but the smile was back on her face, "Let's make something together at home." Because she just wanted to be together, with the two or well maybe considering three of them, so she gave their address to the taxi driver and simply leaned against Gil before she decided to kiss him shortly. It would again take twenty to thirty minutes to arrive back at home and she was actually glad they did, she did not want to half fall asleep in the cab, she did not want to sleep, nap, today because they could spend their day together now that G had a day off to come with her to the hospital. When she hung up her coat in the foyer, she walked towards the kitchen, "What should we eat." She said while leaning with her back against the cooking island. She should probably look into the fridge before trying to think of something on top of her head. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

Hana agreed that they should make something at home. G nodded "Yes, like a sandwich. Those are quick to make" or maybe they can just slice bread and use that chocolatey spread. Mmmm. His hungry thoughts got interrupted by Hana kissing him. He blushed and kissed her back
Later, after smooching, they arrived back home, and boy were both glad they were back. G helped Hana out of the cab and helped her get home, where she hung up her coat in the foyer, and went towards the kitchen. She asked what should they eat. But G had the same vote still
"Something simple and quick. Like a sandwhich. Im so hungryyy!" he said
He didnt know if she wanted anything else, but he wanted something like right now. He went to change and take off his shoes and wash his hands since he was outside and everything outside was dirty af.
After which he would come back to the kitchen to help Hana if she needed any help. G didnt know what to drink as that depended on what he ate.
"So... need any help" he asked, just to make sure if she got anything or not. He didnt wanna intrude if not needed

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away A sandwich, yes that sounded like an easy solution. She simply leaned against him in the taxi. She was really happy that he was okay now, he seemed to be okay, was he okay? She felt okay as he kissed her back. She paid the cab and thanked the man as she scooted out with help of Gil's help. "What do you want on your sandwich?" She called out but he did not seems to respond. She simply got the bread already and went to find anything to put on the sandwich. She took the chocolate spread and opened it, immediately chocolate paste on her finger and she shook her head and licked it off. Did she feel like chocolate? Maybe she should eat less chocolate but it tasted so well. She smiled when he returned to the kitchen. "I considered no treating chocolate but I am not sure if I can resist." She put the towel back as she just washed her hands and turned to look at him, "Are you okay now?" She was making sure and she bit her lip softly, "I want you to be okay, because if you are not okay, what will I do?" She went to grab a knife and look into the fridge again. Maybe something else like peanut butter? She leaned against the kitchen cupboards, she just wanted him to be okay but maybe she should not have brought it up. "Do you want this?" She held up the choco-spread. Maybe she should just shut up, make him that sandwich because she should not bother him, he just needed to have time, the same as when she needed time. He would be okay after all, she was okay now. Maybe she should check if her book could say something about it. Maybe she should buy him a book! MADE BY VEL OF GS |
