Caught in the Middle [G, Haruuhi, Miku]

She felt maybe a little bit guilty considering G did not seem to understand what was going on. She just shook her head and looked at the two girls with a worried look on her face when they did not seem to be entirely happy but she noticed that Haruuhi looked a little happier with the information about the dog and she smiled a little, still worried though. But she kind of knew Haruuhi would speak, she did before, she was sure that the girl would do it again and she did not have to wait long. She leaned against Gil, no need to step on his toes anymore and she wanted him to know she still loved him and wasn't entirely angry or so. She was glad to see Haruuhi smile and her eyes went shortly to Miku, maybe she knew herself. But now they would get a dog... y-yay? 

Her smile disappeared, yes, they had not thought about that and she looked worriedly up to Gil to see what he thought about it. She was her father's daughter and she meant the one on the papers, she would not make it easy for them but yes, her fear was very reasonable. She wanted to say something but she waited for Miku to reply first as Haruuhi directed her question to the girl. More bearable and less lonely? She was again worried, but this was not the time to talk about it. 

"Why don't we discuss if you can come over in weekends after you pick a room. I might have an idea that works a lot better than taking the bus here because I did not think about that Haruuhi, I am sorry." She decided before waving them off to find a room, there were three available so they could pick whichever they wanted from that one and as soon as they went to the foyer and up the stairs, she turned to Gil. "I am sorry, did I hurt you?" Which was very logical thought because she stepped on his toes, thank god she wasn't wearing heels though. "As much as I want to tell them, Gil now is not the right time." She did look sad, for she had wanted to tell them and she wanted them to be happy and ready to take on the role of big sisters but, "The look on Haruuhi her face, she was too overwhelmed with the house and the engagement, I did not want her to think bad about all this, I can imagine that she wants to stay with you and that she is sad because the house is too far." Was she taking him away from her? She felt so guilty about the idea, after what Haruuhi told her only weeks before and now she might be doing it anyway. Maybe it was the level of her hormones but she felt like crying when the thoughts finally settled in her mind. At least they would be roommates, that would be a good thing, right? 

She missed the sharp look Haruuhi gave G, she did not miss that Haruuhi called her Hana, which was probably a good thing or a simple copy and paste from her father as Gil never called her Hanako. She was a bit worried about Haruuhi considering her words that not everyone could consider her problems, but they were not everyone, they were her family. "I would love it if you stayed in the weekends." That obviously did not have to mean every weekend if she had other plans but it was maybe less taking away than Hanako had thought. As the girls walked away, it was like her mask broke. 

She wanted to be happy and enthusiastic because of the news that they were telling them, the house, the engagement but the most important thing she had wanted to tell, that she finally dared to say out loud and be slightly proud about was... was taken away. She felt like crying, overwhelmed herself by the reactions and by being so stupid for considering it not to be a bad plan. How did she have her hopes up while she was destroying so much, a tear dropped on her cheek as she leaned into the hug and simply let it go. It would work, it would be fine, she would just have to hide it. "You did not ruin anything." She turned around in his arms, to bury her face against his chest to not show her tears. She had to stop, she wanted to see what they were doing if they found something they liked. The girls did not need to know how upset she was. 

"Should we-Should we see how they are doing?" She asked finally when she caught a deep breath to make sure she stopped and put that happy expression back on her face, it felt unfair to lie about her own happiness, but if that made the girls feel better, she would. Hanako only would go upstairs if G agreed with her and she would see how the girls were doing and if they picked a room already. 

She looked up with tears in her eyes. Gil surprised her, yes she understood very well that they were both disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm but she could understand the kids in a way too. She blinked in surprise when he kissed her but it only took seconds for Hanako to return the kiss. It did make her feel better considering what he said and how he reacted to her. It felt as if she was less exaggerating based on only hormones. 


She followed him to the living room to sit on the couch and lean against her man. She smiled a little more now as she listened to what he was saying. "I just wanted to tell them." Maybe even if she did not fully understood or consider why that made her so sad but it was because she finally felt the power to tell someone. To be excited about it, but it now changed into this unhealthy obsession with considering it a stupidity. She had made a mistake by not taking the consequences serious enough and not thinking far enough into the future. Overwhelming herself and others, they were now 4 months together and she was carrying his child for 2 months. Wonderful job. She should better not tell anyone. "Let's tell them later. I can wear sweaters still. It is not prominent yet, let's wait a month." Why did it hurt so much to say? She closed her eyes as she leaned against Gil. Did she regret it still? She wasn't sure. 

She wanted this relationship to work out so it would be okay to have a child. It was probably preferred in the future but a child anyway, she just hoped too harshly for something.. Something impossible. "I hope you always wanted a dog." She tried to say to bring up the conversation, turning her eyes (a little smudged by mascara cuz of the crying) to G. If he would say no, she might feel worse but she hoped he would not lie to her. They would get it together, always, right?
