[googlefont="Allan"] [attr="class","title"]Sports Festival [attr="class","title2"]»Cavarly Battle
Three arenas have been created in the U.A School Grounds surrounded by stands for spectators to watch the unfolding events. The spectators have large screen TV's stationed high up above the protective field of the arena, showing snippets of all 3 arenas at once so that none of the action is missed. The central arena's themselves are covered in what looks like a glass bulb. This bulb is actually a completely breathable (experimental) material made by the government in hopes of containing any stray quirk generated abilities from harming those watching the events.
The Cavalry Battles are the 3rd event to take place in the sports festival and takes place after the Obstacle Course. The participants of this event will be divided into 3 groups, within those groups, the students will be paired into teams of 2. Each team must assign 1 student as the 'Horse', and the other as the 'Rider'. The objective of this event is to earn as many points as possible for your team my accomplishing different feats and challenges set by the teachers of the various schools present.
The international Schools only have 2 students to dedicate to this event, and as such students of the same school will be paired with one another. Students from U.A Highschool have been paired up randomly with one another. It is up to the students themselves to decide who will be taking on what role.
Rules 1. The ultimate objective of the Cavalry Battle is to amass as many points as possible. A Rider is worth 10 points, and a Horse is worth 20. If you manage to take out a whole team at the same time, you will earn 50 points. 2. Each Student will be given a white headband that they can wear in any obvious spot on their bodies. The headband is worth 100 points only if you are able to snatch it PRIOR to knocking out your opponent. 3. Points will be silently assigned to individual students pending their actions! You're given no warning as to what will earn you points! 4. If you fall off your Horse, you lose 5 points. You can get right back up and continue however. 5. You lose is you are knocked off the ring, knocked out, give up or are forced to surrender (knife to the throat kind of situation), or removed by one of the judges. 6. The ring you are standing in 50ft x 50ft, so you have a lot of room to run around and go crazy! 7. The site rules of course apply. The fight starts from the first post, and the first poster can be either agreed upon or decided by coin throw. Nonetheless, they have 48h to post from the moment the next round is announced. 8. Maiming or other forms of long term damage are strictly prohibited. There will be no discussion on this whatsoever: if you want your character to get maimed in a spectacular fashion, then find another thread to do so. ICly speaking, remember this is an internationally broadcast sporting events and that you will be surrounded by teachers and other security officials. If you are about to get hit by crippling damage, assume the fight is going to be stopped and the attack deflected/tanked by one of the teachers. This translates to a loss for the person who had to be protected, but remember -- using crippling attacks on your fellow students on international TV carries IC consequences!
Story "Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to our very first Hero Sports Festival! We've had some really amazing events so far and I'd like to welcome you to the Cavalry Battle! Students will be paired into teams of two and struggle against other teams to earn as many points as possible! Each team starts with a combined 130 points! The rules are displayed up on the screen for the spectators and have been given to our students prior to this event! I hope you're all ready for an action packed evening everyone!
Without further delay, welcome Group #3!! Team #1 from U.A High school; Charlotte Fujioka , @box and Jisatsu Keiko Team #2 from The Valiant Institute of Unusual Potential; Melissa Jones and Lucas McTavish Team #3 from U.A High school; Kirk Bluster and Jace Berna Team #4 from Fenghuang High; Zhao Shou and Cheng Young " A woman's voice rang out to all those spectators gathered in the stands. The face of the U.A Literacy Teacher, Kotomi Tanaka was displayed on the big screens above the arena for all to see. The dark haired teacher stood in a basic gym outfit in the center of the stage, waiting fr the students she had just called to gather around her.
"Remember kids, while this isn't a life or death battle I want you all to do your best out there ok? Keep it clean. Ready? When you hear the whistle, your time to decide positions is up and the timer starts!" She warned the students, wishing them all the best before she stepped off the arena, standing by however in the event she needed to interfere. The students would only be given 5 minutes to decide who would be the Horse, and who would be the rider, then the whistle would blow (you get 2 rounds MAX).

so put that ring away and cash it in She tapped her chin with a contemplative finger, whose connecting elbow rested on her other hand. Arms not quite crossed, an image of scrutiny, of slow yet organizing thoughts. Her eyes traced their outlines three times for good measure. "So. Char and Jisa." Tasting their names, her face conveyed moderate expectations. Strength in numbers boded well, though being all support students traded off that edge. Not that it mattered to be perfectly frank. Zero interest in victory on her part, she just wanted to avoid immediate defeat. When teams were called, her attention had locked onto a pair of obvious mutants. Addressing them directly instead of for her own musings, she gave them a half-amused smile. "Jisa honey, let's have you be rider. Char and I can take turns carrying you."Doubt fading from her expression, she preoccupied herself with tying the white bandana around her shoulder, looping fabric under her armpit and knotting a picturesque bow by her collarbone. "So tell me whatchu got. Quirk-wise. In detail." What you see is what you get may very well apply here, but she didn't want to discount her classmates having secret fire-breathing powers. Above them glared their livestream, which reminded her to hassle the ref. She pointed her index up, telling her partners to wait a sec, then called out to Ms. Tanaka on the sidelines. "My parents never signed the release form! I'm not getting aired on T.V. right?" Can't get parental consent if she didn't have parents. Somewhere in the world, a man tapped his forehead. Heidi turned back to her two zoo exhibits. With her bandana secured, she planted her hands at each side, gaze traveling back and forth between them. "This is probs the worst time to mention this." True. "But my own quirk's acting up lately." False. "So just to be safe, I'm gonna go at this quirkless." True. "I'll do my best to keep up with you both!" False. An ideal scenario would be if she could ride their coattails and not have to lift a finger. Even if her own abilities weren't super rare, they were at least recognizable. Despite her track jacket veiling her tattooed skin, dropping invisible boxes on international networks was a surefire way of identifying herself. The school may try to respect her wishes, but they couldn't completely mask her. She stuck a thumb toward a heavyset teenager. "See that big guy over there? That's Kirk." A distant introduction if her classmates were unaware. "He's got some weird storage system on his back. Chances are his partner's gonna sit in there." Though he'd been quite sensitive about it when she'd tried to herself.

Jisa looked around at the other competitors feeling a bit of the realization of the kinda people they were up against setting in on him. The weight of this reality becoming apparently obvious they were possibly gonna be outmatched or at least his powers suddenly began to feel lackluster compared to this sorta competition. As well as so many watching just like the fight he couldn't help but feel a small lump began to form in his throat and worm its way down to his stomach and weigh within him like a rock in his stomach. The painful sensation of nerves baring down him making him shake just lightly. He tried to hide it but his small emotional figure and over expressive tendency had it lightly showing.
He tried his points band to his arm and secured it right away listening to Heidi who seemed to show she had some trouble with her quirk. Jisa nodded kindly though leaning in close trying to appear kind as well as accepting if she was having some sort of trouble or possible injury. "Don't worry, We're in this together Heidi! We'll get through this together no matter what. Heroes gotta push through no matter what the challenges or circumstances. We'll show them our determination okay." Trying to comfort her not catching on to what she was up to in the current moment. He listened though carefully as her information regarding the beefy bruiser known as Kirk. "Ooooh, We better watch out for that... How are we gonna go about our strategy though... I can jump but I'm also really light. Should I be carried as the rider or or or." His small hands held up to his chest as he felt his nerves baring down hard on him as he looked from Heidi to Charlie for possible guidance as his eyes seem to only grow large and sad like that of a puppy dog on even more adorable given it was a bun.

藤岡 シャーロット Stuck in the deal I've been handed, Got me stranded, Force me to swim or drown, Nothing is the way that we planned it, Take for granted the signs that I leave around WORDS 489 NOTES tl,dr: the prawn proposes a few ideas, none of which allow Heidi to kick back |
Charlotte stood passively by as Tanaka-sensei announced the teams. Jisa, she recognized, but who the heck was Heidi? The prawn found Jisa, first, and then the svelte blue-haired young woman found them, first.
There was a simmering nervousness in the pit of Charlie's stomach, the only indication of such was a nervous fussing with the hem of her uniform. Otherwise, the massive young woman maintained the most intent poker-face. She nodded as the blue-haired woman accurately identified her. Now that they were gathered, she did seem vaguely familiar. A classmate, perhaps?
“Jisa-kun, it's good, you are rider,” Charlie said decisively. He was the only one that both she and Heidi could carry. While Charlie could easily carry Heidi, Jisa… likely couldn't. And no one could carry Charlie. Not on this team anyways. Charlie was built to be a horse.
Then came the wrench in the system. Because why would this be easy? Of course, Charlie was on a team with a girl who couldn't use her quirk and couldn't be televised…. In an event where students were supposed to use their quirks to their advantage, for a televised competition. Thanks to a poker face to end all ages, however, Charlie only quirked an eyebrow at this development. If she couldn't be on t.v. and she was worried about her quirk, why the fuck didn't she withdraw?
Thankfully, Jisa spoke first, a more sympathetic proclamation than anything Charlie had to say. It was decidedly more sportsmanly than the English “You've gotta be fucking kidding me,” that was just begging to be uttered.
The subtly bemused expression remained as Heidi explained a rival UA student's quirk, an explanation that Charlie didn't fully understand. Language barriers were a bitch.
“Your quirk… is acting-up, how?” Charlie persisted leaning down towards her teammates as she spoke, “I have ideas. Three. Idea one, you are horse. I create perimeter by run at opponents, try and knock out, or be shield. Idea two, if your quirk acting-up is good, you create perimeter and I be horse. Idea three, we both horses, Jisa jump at other teams, try to grab bandana with no touch ground. We catch.”
As she rattled off ideas, she counted them off in her three-fingered hand
“If we go idea three, we catch you Jisa,” she assured him. Anticipating that her diminutive friend could go with the group's decision, she turned to Heidi for her opinion, “Do you like… which? I think if you keep-up, you are too open because you're “quirkless”.”
As an afterthought, Charlie summarized, “My quirk is my body. Tough shell. Good eyes. Also, punch is… big. Not good for this, though. Forget punch.” . Having said her piece, Charlie righted herself, tapping her mouthparts ponderously through her surgical mask. If Heidi's quirk was acting up in an advantageous way, they could use that. But if it wasn't, it'd be more beneficial to have her carry Jisa while Charlie acted more defensively.

Jace had not expected a crowd this big. When he heard this place as a school festival, he'd thought it would be like all school festivals, small things where kids drag their parents along with them so they can go hang out with friends but needing an adult to take them there, and the adults just do whatever in the meantime. At least that's how school festivals worked where he came from. This was not that, this had freaking OLYMPIC sized stands all around along with multiple arenas! And they weren't empty either, there were thousands upon thousands people here! Jace had thought this was just gonna be a small thing where he could maybe make some friends when he first arrived and was told he could still sign up for the festival, he hadn't expected this.
And that was how the timid boy found himself on tv, moving in a way most people might consider walking, blushing, and a terrified look as if he saw a train coming right at him. The orange boy looked up as one of the teachers whom he didn't know given he had arrived at the school right around the time of the festival, was yelling the rules and pairings. Paired with a person he didn't know, Kirk. Not a very Japanese name, so maybe he was a fellow immigrant, that'd be nice. Still he didn't really know who Kirk was, but soon it became a process of elimination given the foreign students were already paired and the other Yuuei students managed to make a three pair of their own. Leaving only one person left. And as Jace approached him he realized just how...big he was. Jace actually had to look up to look him in the eyes, and his expression of fear turned too awe, at least for a few moments. And that wasn't even including the muscles, the guy was jacked! Compared to the lean, shorter boy it was already more than clear who was gonna be rider and who was gonna be the horse. Another thing he hadn't exactly been aware of when signing up for the funner sounding event...
B-Bonjour, er...I, uhmm, m-mean hello... Already embarrassed in the introduction, a very fitting scenario for the French boy, he started to blush and look at the ground. I...I don't really have any preferences, s-so-so if you, uhmm, have any ideas I'm, uhmm, ok with them... Really Jace didn't really know how this Kirk wanted to do things, but as long Jace wasn't trying to carry the giant he was more than willing to go along with whatever idea was given to him. He'd try his best no matter how it was done. While he was really nervous, and kinda scared, he also didn't want to be the cause of this guy failing the event and holding him back. But while Jace was looking at the ground saying this, suddenly his eyes went wide and he looked Kirkland in the face again, having forgotten some critical information! Oh! U-Uhmm, m-my quirk, is, uhh to transform and gain a lot of cat features l-like claws and stuff! But I-I can also grow hair on my body wherever I want and...uhmm...ignite it... He had realized how that part sounded as he said it out loud, like he was going to burn the guy as he carrired him, despite the fact that Jace could choose which part of his body to ignite. And Jace couldn't exactly transform and show him given he could only hold the form for a limited amount of time...Hopefully he'd described it well enough, or at least Kirk was willing to trust him...

Post by Kirk Bluster on Feb 21, 2019 6:51:35 GMT -4
Kirk had pretty much expected to be shocked and worried about whoever he was gonna face in the cavalry battle. However, he had been very much so hopeful about the person he would team up with perhaps outright carrying him to victory. Part of the reason for him joining this event, was the fact that he could avoid needing to use his quirk in any sort of flashy fashion, just concentrating on carrying somebody and relying on his sport techniques. With that theory, he wouldn't have had to worry about performing well whatsoever, he would have been flashy no matter what, and Grandpa would have propably been alright with the sight!
However, what he saw instead, was that one of his foes... was a quite literal T-rex... Yeah, he had heard of the quirks of these students from other countries a plenty already, but coming face to face with one such power just had him kind of... shaking in his boots... And of course, he had to make a call to his Grandpa about it. "My foe is giant! and another foe is a giant insect girl!" "Oh come on Kirk, I think plenty of the folks you matched with back home were scarier than these kids." "But that was in SPORTS! Not outright physical combat!" "Look, I watched you in that whole fighting tournament." "*gulp*" "Try as hard as that and you'll do fine. Now get your guts in order! I don't think your pals wanna see you wussing out!" "I-I'll try!"
Yeah, even Darren had pretty much told him to "Adapt to the situation"! Maybe he was just all sorts of spooked for no reason! Besides, he didn't even properly know who this partner of his was! Maybe he COULD go with what his plan was! After that, it would be smooth sailing! He slapped his cheeks furiously, and proceeded to squat repeatedly, trying to get the worry juices out of himself in the form of sweat! He pumped his arms in front of himself in the form of a hyping up dance! "YOU! CAN! DO! THIS! YEEEEES!" He shouted outloud, propably everyone in the waiting room hearing his cry.
And as he entered the arena itself, His worries were alleviated, albeit just a little bit. Atleast the dinosaur was just the size of a car... As much danger and weight as he would still have, it did make him a tiny bit less scary of a prospect! Even the bug girl as special as she looked, looked greatly more friendly with a little bunny like Jisa next to her. And Heidi... Well, Kirk tried to avoid looking at Heidi. He felt like he had made a vicious enemy out of her now too... Albeit them being a three man team was kind of surprising. Guess they weren't as experienced? Who knows. Kirk had more important things to find. He raised his voice a little bit: "Hey! Which one of you guys is Jace!? Would like to make a thinktank!" He was hopping gently over the ground, almost like lazy jogging. He was actually hopeful for a moment...
And then this meek guy showed up.
He stood in front of him... presumably greeting him, even Kirk knew what Bönsyyr meant, and he overall just exuded being afraid... And Kirks trust sunk a little bit... "Ah, No worries! We are all a bit nervous here, hehe!" He scratched his forehead. "What's your quirk? Easier to plan things with that!" And then, he heard that his way of things was setting himself on fire, and turning into a cat with all these sharp claws and things to stick onto him with... Kirk was still smiling, but a clear drop of sweat slipped down from the top of his head straight down to his neck. He proceeded to quickly twist it from side to side... and grunted: "I can work with this!" As his Grandpa always said, better than nothing. And with his experience in sports club, training a dude not so into sports into a sportsman shouldn't be too hard...
Now, quirks outfit was this time the whole U.A sports suit. except with a little bit more elastic one to accomodate his quirk. He proceeded to show it, as it opened up, revealing his sports gear, and a lot of tennis and baseballs. "My quirk, well... Its a pouch. You get in it, and you'll propably be fine and dandy! It's sturdy and all that!" Kirks assumption from the start, was that he would be the horse, so he didn't mind it at all. "Although, I can't promise it won't be a bit of a bumpy ride, you know? ...I ain't no big dinosaur..." He gave out a minor groan... Man this was gonna be a hard one. The trip would be EXTRA bumpy if he burned his skin... Ugh...
"HOWEVER!" He straightened his back a little... "I expect us to do well! So let's not screw this up!" Not exactly his most positive encouragement, with his worries squeezing through a bit. Heck, even the whole scarf deal had him a bit worried, as he wrapped his around his thigh. "I think these things are fireproof! Where you gonna put yours?"

The Valiant Institute of Unusual Potential It was hard to miss the fact that the students from U.A and Fenghuang High were going to be up for a tough fight. Lucas was a massive Tyrannosaurus Rex for crying out loud! What hope did the other schools have of winning whenever he was around? Everyone would immediately know that Lucas was meant to be the Horse, but that didn't stop Melissa from poking a little bit of fun at her partner.
"You ready rexy? I'll be the horse and you can be the rider okay? It'll throw them for a total loop!" She said cheerily, to which Lucas would raise a massive eyebrow as he looked down to his teammate. He opened his mouth to speak, trying to come up with something witty to say but instead a guttural "uuuuuh" just escaped his lips as he raised a clawed hand in protest.
Melissa would just burst into a fit of giggled as she expertly leaped up rather effortlessly onto Lucas' back, climbing up until she was sitting stop his shoulders the best she could.
"I'm kidding big guy! You know that you're the best!" She cheered him on, pumping her fist into the air to rally on her team. A sigh of relief escaped Lucas lips as the big boy stomped a foot down into the arena hard, pumping his little hand into the air to mimic Melissa.
"GROAWRYEAHWEGONNAGROARCRUSHTHEMROAAAAAAR" Way too loud and obnoxious for most people to handle when he got excited.
Fenghuang High Unlike their English counter parts, the chinese students seemed to take a completely different approach. They spoke to each other solely in their mother tongue so that no one would be able to overhear them, and after a short conversation between the two it was Cheng that took to getting onto Zhao's shoulders. This might seem odd to anyone as Zhao looked like the weaker of the two as Cheng had a more muscular build. It didn't help that they wouldn't understand what the two boys were talking about...
Not that they wanted too since now Zhao was going off about how they would conquer this stage much like the Jin Dynasty conquered the state of Wu... or something...

so put that ring away and cash it in Not unlike their figurine-sized classmate, Jisa’s soft and shy demeanor pulled at otherwise brittle heartstrings. Perfect for publicity. Poor for packing a punch. Eyes full of innocence tugged a smile from her lips, but children should be seen and not heard. His sickening optimism induced metaphorical vomit, and he started showing signs of physical. Nervousness did that apparently. Not that Heidi could relate. Instead, she exuded a drawn out sigh, an attempt to recover her spilling patience. "Char's got the right idea."With their rider decided, it was time to settle some things with her crustaceous co-horse. She was clearly more skeptical than the all-too-trusting lagomorph, but she didn't directly call her out. A flip of the wrist brushed Charlie's inquiry aside. "If I knew how, I'd fix it." Shutting that down as soon as possible before deeper probing ensued. Heidi twisted her mouth at all three proposals. Not because they were bad, but because their deliveries were god awful. She planted one hand on her hip while she held out the other, palm up in exasperation. "Char. Sweetie. If it's easier, just speak in English and I'll translate to Jisa." Her accent served as a slight hint, but it was hours of stalking U.A. chat that gave her native tongue away. But back to business. "We'll go with the first plan." Single finger raised to quash any ambiguity. "But we can't prioritize keeping Jisa out of harm's way. Funnily enough, horses are worth more than riders, so the ones we really gotta protect are me and Char." What a shitshow. It's hard enough watching one person's back, but to look out for two was twice the hassle. Now, operating quirkless wasn't the worst that could happen. She was light on her feet and she knew it. But as Charlie pointed out, big punches were no good, and neither were kicks to the crotch. Her phone slipped out of pocket and suddenly pointed at their foreign guests. A series of snaps captured their latest competition on camera, and she had no doubt the T-rex would bring internet points. Strategies were exchanged in English and Mandarin, both of which Heidi could understand. Unfortunately, they stood just outside clear hearing range, rendering her unable to effectively eavesdrop. After taking her pics, she turned back to Charlie and stroked her own chin in thought. "Y'know Char, if we could kick up a big dust cloud, I might be able to use my quirk." It was risky. Mildly terrifying. To air what she could do. But she could shift the source to someone else. Pretend one of teammates could blink in and out of sight. Invisibility wasn't particularly rare. "So let's start with a big punch to the ground. Get the field nice and dusty."If they did, she'd tag the larger mutant, enveloping her in a veil of obscurity. It'd barely fit her as long as Charlie didn't extend her limbs.

Jisa listened closely looking up at both the much taller and lovely fellow students. Charlie and Heidi definitely had some powers far better then his he felt for such a competition like this. But he liked and agreed with Charlies ideas and seemed to not along as Heidi seemed to be ready to go along with it too. He looked occasionally over his shoulder as his ears tilted and twisted trying to listen to whatever some of their opponents may have been saying with his super hearing. But sadly with all the crowds and other sounds coupled with the distance he wasn't able to pick up much other then undefinable whispers to his ears.
"If you guys keep up your defenses I can stay reserved and just ready for any opening to jump if you want. I'm willing to take the leaps and jumps at our foes when the times come up. I'm really light so if you want to mainly focus on defense and keeping a distance that should be easy with my light weight on you. The others have heavier weights to carry given I'm so small compared to so many others. AN when they come for us that's when I can make my move. If I do it wright I can jump at them then try and kick off them as well for a returning leap. But it does sound like a full defense might be our best bet at least to start with." Listening carefully and trying to supply his own take on the events as well. Gulping lightly as the competition he was seeing did weigh on him lightly.
The small bunny taking in a deep lightly heavy breath as he tried to keep a strong appearance though if nothing else. It wasn't just him in this one like the tournament had been. He had others working with him that he couldn't let down. He took a few deep breaths to try and calm and settle his body. Nodding up at them both waiting to see when would be best to make the first move as this all would begin. Giving charlie and Heidi a supporting thumbs up with his stubby fingers and paw like hand. His little serious green and look of determination looking more like one of adorable worry sadly then what he had actually intended for it to appear as.

Charlotte's brow leapt at the other girls response. How could you not know how your power was acting-up? She didn't feel like talking about it, and the prawn was reasonably suspicious. Wouldn't your quirk need to go wrong at least once in order for you to realize that it was going wrong? A pang of annoyance twisted in the pit of the prawn's stomach.
This annoyance blossomed into hot embarrassment when her ideas were met with an English reprimand. At least her blush wasn't apparent through the carapace. At least she agreed to one of the plans, the one where Charlie protected the group. From a t-rex. Somehow. Charlotte stared towards the t-rex when Heidi attested to the fact that they couldn't "focus their energy on protecting Jisa".
Charlotte cast what would have been a humored glance Heidi's direction, if her nerves hadn't twined such a concerned look into her expression. It wasn't about protecting just Jisa. It was about protecting Jisa and Heidi-- you know, the person who "couldn't use her quirk". Charlotte said nothing. They slipped back into momentarily silence, the prawn flexed her hands, faint stream of nervous clicks escaping her.
Heidi spoke up again, jarring the prawn from the anxious tailspin she was presently in. The prawn listened to the other girl's proposal, tilting her chin towards her. Punch at the ground? That... sounded legal, actually. And with how heavily her heart was hammering, it was definitely feasible.
"I can do that," Charlotte agreed, in English. She could feel the familiar pressure welling-up in her arms, which pent-up whenever her anxiety pushed her past a certain point. An explosive punch was definitely within the realm of possibility.
Jisa suggested adopting a primarily defensive approach. Charlotte couldn't help but agree, given that she couldn't see how they'd take the offensive with a freaking dinosur.
"What do you think?" Charlotte passed the decision to Heidi. Charlotte would create a diversion with the dust, but she wasn't sure what "trying" to use Heidi's power would look like, functionally.

Jace could see the dissappointment on Kirk's face at his approach, disappointment at who he'd been partnered up with, and Jaces own demeanor broke as well. The orange haired boy was now looking like he might cry, even though Kirk hadn't actually done or said anything mean about him. It didn't help that Jace now realized that this guy had been yelling in the waiting room just minutes earlier, showing how pumped and excited he must have been before seeing Jace! Though before Jace could get any more upset and have his own little tantrum, he started noticing that after he explained his quirk Kirk wasn't looking too good, sweat pouring down his face while he still held an eerily creepy smile. If he'd been given more time Jace might have gotten upset too, but instead Kirk threw him for a loop when he cracked his own neck, causing the boy to jump at the snapping sound, no longer looking upset but instead unnerved. A-Are you ok?..
Still Kirk had at least managed to stave off Jaces moodiness with his pumped up attitude, at least for the moment. So when he mentioned that his quirk was a pouch, instead of more whines the boy simply tilted his head in curiosity. Pouch? He leaned over to get a look at this pouch and was greeted with, well a pouch. It was such a simple thing, but the boy couldn't help but let out a small coo of interest, especially when he saw all the cool things in there! All in all that quirk looked really convenient! Though Jace wasn't quite sure how sturdy a pouch could be, even if Kirk was trying to assure him it was, after all its just a pouch of skin. Right? Still the boy didn't voice his doubts on how much damage a pouch could take, and instead focused back on Kirk, who had just mentioned the elephant, or more specifically the Tyrannosaurus in the room.
Jace hadn't actually been effected by the appearances of the other students of the other schools, not out of some brave act or confidence thing but simply because he hadn't been paying much attention to them other than noticing they were here as he'd been more focused on finding his own teammate! But now that Kirk was bringing them up, Jace started looking around, seeing all the people they were facing, and the nerves started to visibly build up as Jace got more and more nervous. Especially from the T-Rex that Kirk brought up. Once again, Jace looked close to getting upset, and once again Kirk headed it off with an unexpected action, this time a yell that actually did make Jace jump since he hadn't been looking at him when he did it.
PUTAI-..O-Oh...Yeah, ok.. Jace let out a yell of his own in French, though he didn't quite finish the less than TV safe word before he realized what'd happened, and while he was still breathing heavily and his heart was still racing he did actually end up agreeing with the muscular boy to try his best. And when he no longer felt at risk for a heart attack, Jace took out his own head and when Kirk brought it up, looking at it curiously at the suggestion it was fire proof. You think so? I thought it was just a regular scarf. I wonder if my clothes are fireproof too... He mused at the possibility, it would be nice being able to wear things that didn't burn when he activated his flames. As for where...Umm....Here! And he placed the scarf on his shoulder and started to wrap it around his shoulder and armpit, though he did struggle to tie it since he only had one hand to use, letting out several grants of annoyance as he struggled. But if left to his own devices he'd eventually manage to get it wrapped pretty well. [/font]

...Man the boy outright freaked out from just him stretching a bit. "Of course I am! Just a bit nervous is all! We both are, right!?" He let his inner thoughts come out a bit accidentally. Albeit, he didn't notice it himself. He was already trying to come up with all these different ways that they could combo, but all of them had some kind of burn happening and making him flinch! Either that or him wussing out and hiding whilst trying to do something... He shook his head briefly, giving a mildly tired look. He was not the thinking type! Meanwhile people around them seemed to be properly thinking up tactics already. "Well, I guess the best way to find out what we both can do is by a bit of improvisation, You know!" Maybe he was thinking too much on it! Jace here could propably, handle himself, if he was in a hero school! Besides, his quirk sounded way cooler than Kirks... Kirk sighed...
Meanwhile, his brief showing of his pouch had surprisingly gotten quite admiring looks from Jace. Kirk just wasn't at all sure if it deserved it. His grandpa most likely wasn't impressed. He had propably seen all of these other people using their cool tricks... Although he had won SOMETHING! Was that enough though? His grandpa had admittedly said that if he did aswell, he would be fine... SO maybe... Not last in points would be good? Nah, second place atleast!
His teammate shouted something that made him jump a bit! "Put what in what now?" Well, that was atleast the image he got from the weird word he had said. Albeit putting their scarves in the pouch felt like cheating... The boy outright proceeded to ask about whether or not the thing was durable. "Look, I am 100% Sure that thing could handle an explosion! This school Knows what kind of stuff we need for a good work out!" This sort of distraction out of all his worries was just what he needed. He pointed at his still open pouch, which had the school outfit pretty much wrapping around it, expanding with it. "Might not be much protection for actual attacks, but you most certainly won't be rendered naked, hehe!" He honestly loved them! They were pretty much perfect for any sort of casual training session!
However, it was time to go. "Time to hop in dude!" Jace put his scarf around his wrist, which was pretty good spot. Easy to slip into the pouch if things got wonky, yet still outward enough, that he needed to show it for attacks of his own. That seemed a lot fairer! However, Kirk pulled the ballbelt across his chest, leaving some spares into his pouch, gripped the tennis racket, and pulled it out waiting for Jace to hop in. After he was in it, Kirk stood up, and proceeded to pump his fist into the air a couple of times. "Ey ey, OOH! Ey ey, OOH! Ey ey OOH!" Couple of brief cheers of his own to get him motivated. And then... "Leeeeeeeeets DO THIS!"
Back home in a wheelchair, Doohan stared at the screen. A wide smirk grew on his lips. "Give it your all lad. Show your parents what you've got." He pressed the red button on his remote, as the machine started recording what was gonna happen on a disc.

[googlefont="Allan"] [attr="class","title"]Sports Festival [attr="class","title2"]»Cavarly Battle Group 3
The students from the Valiant Institute and FengHuang wasted no time in their preparations. They knew exactly who was going to be the rider and who was going to be the horse. The Valiant studens tied their armbands around their forearms while the Fenghuang students tied their bands around their thighs.
Both teams of students didn't move from their corners, both looking between each other and the U.A student's silently. It seemed almost unfair to be going up against 2 U.A teams, and neither school knew what to expect... would they work together in taking them out, or would they fight each other first in some kind of internal feud to find out who was the strongest? Regardless of that, both schools had their own plans.
Lukas stomped his foot, ready to go, scraping his clawed feet against the floor of the arena and creating a shrill sound with them as if nails on a chalkboard. It wasn't an attack of any sorts, but possibly just an annoying taunt. The large dinosaur would laugh at the sound while his partner covered her ears with a huff.
"Alright teams, time is up! GO!" The whistle would blow, indicating that the start of the Cavalry battle would commence.
Note: To keep up with post order, i'll let you guys have the first moves, and have the foreign students as last on the post order

Jisa was quick in a single strong leap kicking up off the ground bellow his feet as he began to rise up ready to land in their hands between them ready to have a cavalry front and back bellow him. Having left it up to them as well as to who would be in the front and who would take up the rear. He'd plop with his large feet first landing ready to be carried his tail reaching down and wrapping lightly around one of their arms as well to hold on secure. His point band tied securely to his arm.
"Okay guy's lets do this... Hopefully if we're careful and do this right we might just stand a chance." He'd say giving his teammate to the front a nod then looking over his shoulder to shoot a nod to the one behind him. Partially trying to reassure himself as much as he was them as well. But in either case he was ready and willing to give it is all. Hopefully if they moved quick and he was able to use his jumps just right they'd actually be able to stand a chance at this. He drew in a deep breath as his eyes narrowed in at all his rivals and competitors before him as the sound to start rang off.

藤岡 シャーロット Stuck in the deal I've been handed, Got me stranded, Force me to swim or drown, Nothing is the way that we planned it, Take for granted the signs that I leave around FT. @box WORDS 355 NOTES Perry advised me that since this is calvary battle, all of our characters need to be touching!
So, tl;Dr-- Charlie takes the back space, tells her teammates to cover their ears, and uses a shockwave punch to kick-up a huge dust cloud on the field! | Charlotte assumed the rear position, since she was the tallest and therefore could see over both of the heads of her teammates. She was hunched (less than ideal, because she was slower), and her massive hands practically consumed Heidi's own (much less than ideal, because punching would be nigh impossible with her teammates in the way). There was a burst of sound from the whistle, and the field surged into motion.
"If this goes to shit, I'm carrying you bridal style," Charlotte advised Heidi, in perfect English. She could probably carry both Jisa and Heidi without issue, just not for very long, "After this, Heidi, you call the shots. Tell Jisa to cover his ears! You too!"
"Jisa, here," she instructed, "To me."
The boy sank against her, and the prawn turned away from her teammates. Her arms were already shaking-- not from exhaustion, but from the energy that coursed through them, begging to be released. Jisa had his ears covered, and Heidi had covered one ear with her free hand-- good. The prawn stepped back on her left foot (her dominant foot), twisted marginally at the hips, and squared up. Then, to the best of her abilities, she let the power surge through her arm and out the end of her fist as she threw the punch.
Kra-KOOOOOOM!
Disrupted air erupted in a funnel from her extended fist, connecting with the turf and sending dirt-clods and grass-clumps flying. And, just as Heidi anticipated, a fantastic cloud of dust exploded ahead of them in a fantastic cone, creating the perfect smokescreen, so to speak, for them to disappear within.
Though her arm throbbed from the punch, Charlotte still drew it back in, a steadying hand rising to Jisa's waist. The last thing they needed was to topple their own horse in the first thirty seconds.
"Are you good?" she asked, rejoining her hand with Heidi's. She didn't know what Heidi had up her sleeve, but she hoped that this blanket of dust would suffice.
"Alright, I've got one good punch left in me, so let's make this count!" she advised Heidi, in English once again.
