so put that ring away and cash it in Her English wasn't so fluent as to fully appreciate French. But she could guess, and she giggled, much amused by the notion such a big, hardy shrimp could feel pain. "Survival instincts, Char! Can't live without 'em, y'know?" Sorry not sorry, in other words. Still, that was useful info, that her co-horse wasn't the indomitable shield she'd first assumed. They were all pretty squishy, combat stat-wise, but that beast billowing above them was too. Pained cries rang out from their reptilian foe, so that jab did some damage after all.
Before she could goad her to punch him again, a massive blue bulk blinked to view. Shattering into nonexistence went the refractory veil around Charlie. Next, because there just had to be more, a rabbit appeared in her arms. If there wasn't the threat of getting bonked by a ball, she might've swerved career paths once more. The Haunting Illusionist, Heidi Houdini, dazzles and strikes again.
Her poker face could've used some work, though, because she scrunched up at the sight of red streaks. "Let's. Avoid. A mess," was the politest phrase she could possibly muster aloud. She swore if there was a permanent stain on her gym uniform, there'd be one hell of a price to pay.
From above, their opponents were having a squabble, which bought them some time to regroup. Likely fighting over who'd give her the piggyback. Feminine wiles did wonders.
Her marine-themed partner proved to be on the same page. If a man is interested, he will pursue you, she said in more or less the same words. And due to language barriers and three-way communication, the role of translator fell to Heidi. "Char says to seduce the other team," she told Jisa in his mother tongue. "So we're playing hard to get. Buckle up!"
With their full trio exposed to the onslaught of eyes, they had to book it. And fast. She dove to the side, attempting to yank Charlie along, while also carrying a bunny like a bride. A spare glance toward the enemy gave her the head's up that another damned tennis ball was coming.
If Jisa continued to nestle in her hold, she'd hoist him up like a shield, so that the projectile would smack the middle of his back instead of her spindly shoulder. However, if their rider decided to take justified precautions and get the fuck away from this bitch, then this shameless survivor would sharply inhale in pain, letting the ball drop as bruises soon surfaced.
And as they all scrambled to flee from the dragon, they narrowly avoided his claw. He was tall and lanky, sluggish and wavering, and that gave the girl an idea. "Jisa, jump onto his arm!" The hope was the rabbit would scale up his scales, distracting him enough to give Char another opening.
TL;DR: Heidi and the gang run away - Her headband is wrapped around her head
- Tries to use Jisa to block the tennis ball
- Pulls Charlie away from the dragon
- Tells Jisa to hop onto Zhao when the dragon claws at them
- Everyone is visible

379 words In her younger years, the prawn had been quick to physically react to provocation. It was a survival tactic-- people fucked with you if you didn't prove that you were not to be fucked with. Heidi's excuse, however... lightly given... prompted thoughts of such visceral, physical reactions. You guys are classmates, the still-rational part of the prawn's brain chimed-in, Moreover, teammates. You can't throw a teammate across the field on national television.
But it was oh-so tempting.
So Charlotte did nothing but scowl, devising ways that she, too, would be able to ensure her survival. With Jisa cradled in Heidi's arms, and the prawn with her hands upon Heidi's shoulder, the bizarre conga-line of students took off at a dead run. Or, well, given the length of Charlotte's legs, a slight-faster-than-a-jog.
Given the blue-haired girls self-preserving values, the prawn had qualms about leaving her mutant friend in the other girl's arms (why weren't they resuming the calvary position? whatever, as long as they were retreating...) but Charlotte couldn't very well pluck Jisa from Heidi's arms.
More tennis balls were slung in their direction, but rather than let Jisa take the tennis balls to his spine (or... the prawn would begrudgingly admit... let Heidi take them to her shoulder) the prawn would stick out her massive forearm in an attempt to deflect them. Though she did not take kindly to being forced into acting as a shield, she was perhaps the heartiest of the three... and her protective instincts wouldn't let her small companion be used like a fluffy meat-shield. If anyone would take hits, it would be Charlotte.
"Could you- not- use him- as a meat-shield?" the prawn said through ragged breaths. Heidi instructed Jisa to leap at the dragon, and the prawn exhaled heavily, her bioluminescent pores flickering with frustration. She still... had one good punch in her... but she wouldn't throw it at other students, even if they were rivals.
"Come on, you cowards!" Charlotte goaded the dragon, raising her throbbing arm to taunt them, "That all you got?! Come get us!"
Whether or not they spoke English, it was very clear by her gesticulations that she was trying to egg them closer. If they could just get dragon-boy to follow, maybe they could snatche a headband.
OOC notes: the prawn takes more for the team, is sick of heidi's shit, and taunts the dragon

While Jisa's nose still bled he tried to dap his paws at it. His small sensitive nose not as tough as a normal humans. His small nostrils had trouble clearing as for a few moments he was lightly short of breath still remaining in Heidis grasp trying to collect himself. HE had expected the Calvary battle to be perhaps the least damaging of all events but it seems he'd perhaps not thought on it long enough as it all came together. But as he tried to work up a plan close to Heidi probably at least in fighting stand points the weakest of his allies built more for agility and quick movement. He was surprised when Heidi hoisted him up surprised unsure what was happening as the small arms flailed and struggled a bit. Was she going to throw him or something? His feet flailed as well in mild confusion causing the grasp to not remain as steady.
"Hey hey hey! What are you doing! Don't hold me up like that if I can't have my feet on something I can't move around easily!" With his floppy feet kicking about in a almost sad way he was slightly disarmed given he didn't want to attack his own teammate or risk knocking her off balance if he struggled to hard. His head on a pivot as he struggled lightly though in his own way turning to see what was happening as the struggle lowered him just enough where the ball projectile incoming collided with his cheek and nose yet again. This time causing his head to spin back towards Heidi in a mild swing. The angle of his head at the point of impact causing it to cause a bit more damage then may have been intended. His bloody nose and short breath all contributing to his pain as his nose poured small streams of blood as his head spun around while in Heidis grasp.
But he didn't leap after in commands. He may have if he hadn't been held up with little means to use his agility given he would have never had the heart to move against his teammate just to give himself a better position. But given how things had played out he simply went limp in Heidis arms nose bleeding as the poor boy had been for the moment at least knocked out slightly. His frame and body not built for much punishment at all. He relied on quick movement and agility and the ability to use that agility. But for the brief moment it was taken away and the confusion had sadly taken a tole on him and his part for the team. Currently a lump of weight to be carried by his ally.
--- -Struggles when lifted by Heidi unsure what is happening -Struggles enough to loosen grasp but not enough to risk harming or unbalancing Heidi given confusion -Turns to see whats coming and is struck in the head 'again' by the ball reigniting his nose bleed. -Jisa temporarily Unconscious in Heidis grasp.

"AH MAN!" Cheng yelled at himself for hitting the bunny in his face again. "THAT AINT FAIR I WAS TRYING TO HIT YOU." He yelled at the Blue haired girl who just used the bunny for a shield, he did not care if she would understand his broken Chinese-English or not, it was not what he wanted to do. You see the whole battle would go on based on what he had tried to do but he did not have enough green tennis balls anymore and considering that blue haired tactician he assumed she would grab the shield-like arm again or hold up the bunny and to be fair, Cheng even if he had a big mouth, he did not want to hurt the others simply because the blue haired girl did this. He did stare at the other third member of the gang, now that was an impressive looking quirk.
Even if Zhao finally went on to move, that did not mean that the two boys got a strategy, breaking up the team was Zhao's but the fact that they knocked out the bunny boy simply by a coincidence that they had not counted on, they were a bit lost on what to do. The surprise factor of being a very tall green chinese dragon was over now and that only brought the negative part up, Zhao was easy to hit and hard to miss with his size. They tried to avoid whatever the team came up with and in the end the boy was tired when the quirk stopped working and Cheng was out of ammunition, the spear seemed broken and it had only been there for defense and that did not make it able to withstand the heavy hits. Zhao had maybe been a bit too active and losing the idea of tact and strategy when he was a dragon, he did not like being called a coward, so that was a smart work from Charlie.
So when he switched back, which was a very nasty surprise for Cheng who literally fell down the amount of meters, Zhao got knocked out by trying to catch Cheng but being too tired from the use of energy. It wasn't their best way of fighting but well, they had tried their best.
