WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin was still wearing high heels from the opening song at the concert, making her stand a little taller than usual, making her legs appear slightly longer, while giving each of her steps a distinct clicking sound against the tiles as she walked around. There was still a single streak of red in her otherwise ravendark hair. At this point, the sapphire blue eyed female wasn't sure if everyone had figured out that she was in fact Scarlett. At this point, being secretive about it certainly wasn't on her mind. Lying wasn't part of her personality in all honesty. The whole attempt to lie about her quirk, when she had initially come to Yuuei, hadn't done her any favors. At this point it wasn't something Rin was going to openly explain to everyone, as doing so could easily be seen as a bide for attention. At least, she was fairly certain Alexander would see it that way. Come to think of it, where had Alexander been recently...? Shrugging to herself, her entire attire was significantly more polished than normal.
Over her torso, Rin was wearing an open pink blouse in cotton. There was nothing significantly outstanding about it, though the texure gave away that it was high quality. It was fairly warm, though the openness still left a little to be desired. Underneath she wore a white t-shirt with a heart over her chest. Naturally, it had the letters NY engraved into it. Giving a silly blonde a little something to giggle over. The ravenblack hair had been left hanging loosely over her shoulders, giving Rin the appearance of someone dressing casual yet stylish. From her hip fell the Yuuei skirt, while her bare skin was protected by a warm set of stockings. Just enough visible clothing to identify her as a Yuuei student among all the different students that were taking in the sights of Japan. Phone in hand, she had tried several times to get a hold of Jasmine. It hadn't been all that easy with the huge amount of chaos. Especially not given how she had been on stage performing not long ago. Security and other situations required Rin to go through several steps where Jasmine simply couldn't easily gain access. Now that the leash was off however, she longed for the blonde's warm embrace.
...Stopping at the cotton candy shop, Rin tilted her head to the side. Not really much of a sweet tooth, she still felt she wanted some kind of sugar to her system plus something to drink. So, being the gracious partner that she was, she acquired two large cotton candy sticks together with two colas. Humming to herself, the sapphire blue eyes scouted the area. There was so much going on around here. So many different languages being spoken. It had Rin very interested, but also very confused. An easy target to prank for a lionness in a playful mood. Perhaps a little too easy?

How long had it been, she wondered. It was likely somewhere around the time of the music night back at that maid cafe that Rin used to work at. Jasmine wasn't exactly sure... but she was positive that this was the first in what felt like a long, way too long a time since she heard the little Raven sing to anyone but her. While the opening ceremony definitely wasn't something the American student was interested in let alone wanted to participate in, the performance of her one and only had enough pull on her to force the girl out of her comfort zone and out into what seemed like the wild west.
Jesus fucking Christ is there a few fucktons too many people around, the girl thought, an irate glance visible through the few strands of blond locks over her eyes. Her lips had made a very thin line, brow twitching as she tried to push through the utter herd of people from all over. Trying to not get swallowed into the current of people cascading down the aisle like the grand fucking rapids proved to be a herculean task even for somebody with the strength that she possessed... mostly because half of these people decided to bring their kids too and if there's one thing she didn't want to do that was to accidentally knock a kid over. She wouldn't hear the end of it from the little shit's parents, even more so her own conscience.
At some point the blonde lioness managed to pull herself out of the overcrowded rat race, stopping near the entrance of an alleyway to catch her breath and survey her surroundings. A gruff sigh left her lips as she rubbed her temples, tugging at her black slouchy knit beanie with some form of frustration. Her long blonde hair escaped the head wear and fell down the back and side of her head in waves, looking somewhat messy yet rather stylish at the same time. The upper part of her body sported short black leather jacket that she left unzipped to reveal a long and golden T-shirt with a black raven on her right hip, poking its head out of the cover of her jacket. It was actually kind of ironic how similar their minds functioned considering how different the two girls were. Hell, had you told Jasmine five or so months ago that they'd be where they're at now she would've called you delusional, maybe even a little retarded. Life was a mystery, truly.
She also wore tight black jeans ripped at her thighs and knees, supported on her waist by a belt with a silver buckle. The finishing piece of her outfit - something that she thought was the most important thing in terms of clothing items - were her shoes: brand new Jordan Why Not? zer0 twos with a golden-black colorway. Shit, she was saving these things for a special occasion. Rin better be fucking happy.
Using her height (and the added makeshift platform of an empty produce box lying around courtesy of the food stall next door), Jasmine quickly scanned the area of any familiar faces. She had tried to give a call to her little Raven but getting a hold of her proved to be a little problematic considering that so many faces and the subsequent phones they carried caused the general reception to die. Advanced technology my ass. Eventually, though, she had caught sight of exactly who she was looking for. With a sly grin on her face, Jasmine hopped off of the box and off she went into the fray, carefully snaking through the traffic of bodies as she zoned in on her pray. Slipping her aviators on to protect her eyes from the warmly shining sun up above, Jasmine's smile only grew as she felt a tingly sensation bubbling up in her chest the closer she approached her would-be victim.
"Peek-a-fuckin'-boo," she whispered the second she was behind the significantly shorter (high heels be damned) girl. Very quickly did Jasmine's arms wrap around the girl's waist as she pulled her into something of a bear hug, yet she was careful to not cause Rin to drop the sweet goodness she held in her hands. Jasmine's chest pushed against Rin's back as she leaned in for the kill, playfully sinking her teeth into the brunette's (or was it partial redhead now?) neck, later offering a few sweet kisses as an apology for her sneak attack.
It was times like these that Jasmine, despite the seemingly astronomical number of things that bothered her left and right, managed to feel somewhat like a normal girl again. Granted that again was to be used very carefully as the American hardly ever had what anyone would consider a normal way of life, but she had seen enough to have an image of what one would look like. Sure you could argue that she didn't know what it felt like, but if you did Jasmine herself would fire back that Rin had shown her enough. Despite how utterly messed up both of the girls were for one reason or another, the two of them somehow always managed to gravitate towards each other. Whenever things fell down the rabbit hole of utter fubar, they were immediately next to one another almost as though it was clockwork.
Today, though? Today would see no such bullshit happen. Today was their day and by God would they spend it fucking right.
The warmth exuding from Jasmine's smile was almost palpable as she peered over Rin's shoulder, "Miss me?" She asked, pecking the smaller girl's cheek as she did so. Hmm. Strawberry.
How the fuck does her cheek taste of strawberry?
Fucking black magic, that's how.
Females and their goddamn witchcraft.
Damn fucking straight.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy There the blonde was, in all her Jasmine-y glory. First came the greeting, which had Rin almost roll her eyes. For whatever reason, Jasmine almost always attached some curse words to her sentences. Practically, the only person Rin knew to go peek a fucking boo, was Jasmine. Though, Rin didn't get much time to address the problem with one of her oh so famous lectures on behaving better. Before Rin knew any better, the blonde had sunk her teeth into her neck. Electricity sparked immediately, as Rin let out a soft, drawn out yelp. Jasmine knew exactly how vulnerable Rin was to neck nibbles. It was a weapon that the blonde had honed and perfected over the past few months or so. To the point where, when done right, she could make Rin's knees completely buckle. Blushing furiously from the embarassment, as a few in the crowd had turned to look at what exactly had made that sound, Rin was conveniently using the candyfloss to hide her expression from their view. It resulted in simple shrugs, as Rin drew a sigh of relief. For now, the embarassment came to an end. "..You're a real jerk sometimes, you know that?" Rin commented in a tame tone, shuddering slightly from the spark of pleasure that still travelled her body. Still, the hugging was always warm and welcome. Jasmine's body was occasionally like a furnace, and Rin enjoyed the warmth.~"I was thinking about you all day, love. It's why I bought you this candyfloss!" Rin replied, as a matter of fact to the blonde's silly question. They were a duo. They flourished in each other's company. To Rin, being apart from Jasmine, was like missing an essential part of her everyday life. It was just how life had become, and Rin could not really envision a day that didn't start beside the sleeping lionness. Quietly snaking herself out of Jasmine's grasp, Rin held out one stick of candyfloss to the blonde. Once Jasmine would accept it, Rin would quietly grab the blonde's free hand, intertwining their fingers and clinging on, refusing to let go. Rin reciprocated the love and affection that Jasmine showed through her own means. It was a calmer, quieter yet completely steady kind of affection that never wavered. Giving Jasmine's hand a little tug, Rin then quietly continued speaking."I heard from a reliable source that a certain blonde was going to ask her girlfriend out for the day. That has me really excited~" It was just the way Rin was. Not too great at being direct, not too great at taking initiative, she had her own ways of setting up their time together. Mostly it was by teasing and flirting with Jasmine until the blonde got the idea. Occasionally it took a bit more effort. Not because Jasmine didn't understand the hint - or at least so she would have Rin believe. No, it was because Jasmine enjoyed seeing the little raven work for it. Or some such nonsense. I'm not making it too easy on you, Rinnie. Rin wasn't entirely sure who had decreed that it needed to be difficult... "So! Where're we going?".. The rest of the day, wasn't as important anymore. The little concert to open up the sports festival was long done and dusted. Jasmine had been in the crowd, Rin was certain. It meant that they both knew it had gone perfectly fine. Awkwardly, because one cannot eat candyfloss in any kind of non-awkward manner, Rin tried to get a couple of bites of the strange candy. It didn't go too well...

"I mean if I'm a jerk then I guess you're attracted to jerks then, huh? Pretty sure that's more of a you-problem than a me-problem, Rinnie," Jasmine replied, a sly smirk on her face as she playfully bit the noirette's cheek. There was just something nice about Rin complaining about things the American student did. It was always this or that, something annoying or irritating, but at the same time playful and nice. Nothing ever too serious, nothing you could ever stay mad at for too long. A tease her or there when you least expect it here, a little innocent public embarrassment there... totally nothing one would hold a grudge over, right?
How the hell did this girl agree to date me?
Scoffing at the thought, Jasmine refocused on the little Raven at hand. A dumb grin formed on her face after Rin next spoke, the idea of being called 'love' seeming strangely enticing. Sure, Jasmine's had a few partners here and there but nothing ever too serious. Somewhere in her mind she didn't think she'd ever be called 'love.' Hell she never thought she'd be okay with being called that, let alone enjoy it. It was just something so... feminine. Something so unlike her. Yet during her time with Rin Jasmine kept noticing how she's started doing things she never thought she'd do, feeling things that she'd never felt before. It was strange, foreign... but not exactly unwelcome or unpleasant. On the contrary, really. The lioness very often couldn't get enough of it, almost as thought it had gradually become not unlike a drug.
"Oh, hey. Cotton candy! Haven't had that in years," Jasmine mused with borderline sparkly eyes. Normally she wasn't one to enjoy sweets but as she herself mentioned she hadn't had anything of the sort in quite the long time. The last time she could recall was during a festival in NYC where she, Mike and the rest of the gang would go around town visiting the many stalls on display. Then again admittedly more often than not they found themselves stealing from those stalls than buying things. Desperate times called for desperate measures and even their sorry lot wanted to feel like children on occasion. Without much thought, Jasmine dug into her candyfloss, albeit being a little careful... unlike her date who somehow managed to get a face full of the stuff. The sight made Jasmine giggle as she wiped it off of Rin's face with her finger, later licking it off with a low moan. "Tasty."
Hands locked, Jasmine simply walked along the main alley with Rin while dining on the sweets the little Raven had provided. Honestly lately she found that, unlike her older self, Jasmine had begun actively seeking out moments like this. Whereas before something like this would've been seen as a weakness, a waste of time, and, paradoxically, something she thought she'd never have, now the lioness had moments like this in the palm of her hand, available for her after nothing more than a phone call and a simple conversation. The ease of life that she had found herself in, despite all of the bullshit transpiring around the unlikely duet, was incredibly comforting.
"Not sure who your 'reliable source' is, but they're assholes who ruin surprises," the blonde girl replied through a short snicker. A date she did have in mind but honestly she couldn't figure out what the fuck would one do in these types of sports festivals. Oh. Here's an idea. "I don't actually have any idea where to go. Like... you know, back in the states we don't have 'sports festivals' like you guys do here in Japan so I was hoping you'd maybe show me around?"

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Jasmine may have wondered why the raven haired female had agreed to date such a provocative blonde. The answer was rather simple, in honesty. Rin enjoyed their time together, for the most part. Yes, the embarassment was a little unwelcome, but it made her feel a whole lot of things. Normally the little raven wasn't utilizing her emotional spectrum much, relying mainly on her ability to think her way out of any situation. Logic trumped emotion. However, together with Jasmine, it was very often the opposite way around. Rin would do things because they felt right. Rin would feel comfortable, warm and content, not because she had checked the door being locked a thousand times, but because she was embraced by a person she loved. So of course the tiny raven would date the lioness. It had come about pretty naturally, once all the chaos around them had settled. At least, mostly settled. There were still some things they needed to work out between them, but for the most part, life was in a pretty good place. "Mhm! It's something I rarely ever have either. Figured it'd be a fun little thing to get us." Rin softly moved her stick of cotton candy towards Jasmine, gently booping her nose with the fluffy sugar, in retaliation to the blonde deciding to clean off Rin's face from the sticky mess. Smiling softly, Rin giglged softly. "It's not the easiest thing in the world to eat though.. Any suggestions on how I get this big fluffy ball into my mouth?" Rin then gently nudged her shoulder against Jasmine's, just enjoying being close to her partner in crime. Resting her head on the blonde's shoulder - or more appropriately, against the blonde's shoulder, Jasmine was way too tall for Rin to actually place her head onto the taller blonde's shoulder - she pondered what to do with their time off. Actually, there was a fairly solid idea, which Rin had rummaged with in her mind ever since it was first brought up. Clearing her throat softly, she turned her eyes towards the blonde. "...I know this is a little selfish to ask, considering how the conversation went last time." Rin admitted in a soft tone. Afterall, it had been a rather strong response from Jasmine. Not neccessarily negative, but a strong response. It was because it meant a lot to the blonde, but in asking twice, it obviously had begun meaning a lot to the little raven as well. "Remember that tatoo we spoke about..? Uhm, I'd still... like to have it. On my right shoulder, I was thinking. A-and since we have the day off, I figured it could be something really sweet to do together. I was hoping you could do it on me?... ...b-but if you're not comfortable, we could go somewhere! I-if it's still too personal I understand, too!" Rin was speaking rather fast, frantically. Something Jasmine had been very used to, when back when any request had made her nervous. Nowadays it happened a lot more rarely. When she had a request, that she wasn't entirely sure Jasmine would accept however, the raven haired female still got tense and nervous though. It was clear that this tattoo was something she wanted. Perhaps not surprising, considering how often she got a great view of all of Jasmine's tattoos. Not that Rin would ever get tattoo'd with that many. Still, a singular tattoo, a symbol, it was something that she'd like. Dedicating said symbol to her partner also just... made sense? Else she would've never asked twice, despite how rude she found it to be. The blue eyes stayed on Jasmine, looking cautiously for a response...

While that might have been the reason for their relationship for Rin, for Jasmine it was quite the opposite. While the core idea stayed the same, the basic foundations were hellishly different. Jasmine's presence helped Rin express herself more, feel more. That wasn't exactly weird considering the in-your-face personality the blonde American had. But for Jasmine? Rin's presence helped her reign herself in. While normally one to be emotional and express herself in quite the vivid way, she had now learn from Rin to sort of... pace herself. To retain a cold demeanor at times and to think before she acted. Hell, to feel less, even, and while some may argue that that was a bad thing, Jasmine would say that what happened to her after Mike's death would surely never happen again because of what she's learned from the little Raven.
The two of them worked on a kind of symbiosis; one siphoned the personality traits of the other and added them on top of their own, as such becoming more... complete versions of themselves. It was almost poetic, really.
"I hear ya. Just make sure to eat it quick. Cotton candy tends to get all brittle and shit the more it's out in the open." Jasmine scrunched her nose her nose somewhat humorously before wiping the candy off and giving the other girl a playful glare. "You take it with your fingers, peel it off and toss it in your mouth," and as though to give Rin a demonstration, the taller female used her thumb and index finger to rip off a small part of the candyfloss and shoveled it into her mouth. The sugar melting on her tongue felt heavenly. "Rinse and repeat until it's been thinned out enough so you can eat it just using your mouth." Jasmine stopped for a second, "Geez, why do I even have to teach you how to eat candy? Dunce," the American added, playfully flicking Rin's forehead.
In the next sequence of their little dialogue, Jasmine could only think one thing and one thing only.
Oh. Well there goes the festival.
Only for a brief moment, though.
A soft sigh left Jasmine's lips after Rin was done with her rather flustered explanation. Rin very often tripped over her own words when she was talking about something delicate or was embarrassed. The rate at which she talked shifted into high gear and words that barely resembled sentences started rapid fire pouring out of her mouth. It was pretty cute, she couldn't lie. But then Jasmine began thinking on what Rin's request entailed and she wasn't sure if the little Raven understood what she was asking of her. Sure, they had that one conversation way back when but Jasmine still, on some level, wasn't convinced. Rin didn't seem to want to let it go though so it must've had some promise to it, right?
"It's not that I'm uncomfortable about it, Rinnie," Jasmine began, waving the other girl off, "it's just... Look. Normally I don't mind tattooing people. Hell, I love doing it and I encourage it. Making someone's body a canvas and painting it in the way they want is something I will always love doing. It's what I grew up learning to do and it's probably what I'll be doing when I'm old-but-still-smoking-hot. Ha. But..." Jasmine paused for a brief moment to collect her own thoughts. Why was she so worried about this? Yeah, it was her family sigil and yeah, it was something that represented everything that Jasmine was. There was no other person she would agree to give this humble gift to, but...
Another sigh left the blonde. How bad could it be? "Okay, here's what we'll do," holding up one finger as an indicator for Rin to wait a moment, Jasmine went over to a random stall. It wasn't difficult to find what she was looking for - even food stalls had sheets of paper they used for last minute changes in menus that they needed to hang up on their boards. She waved for Rin to come over after she found what she was looking for and the two girls would then walk over to the food court.
"You guys mind if we sit here?"
"No, please, go ahead," the member of the party they approached replied with a smile, scooting over to make Jasmine some room to sit in front of the large table outside. Jasmine shooed Rin to sit on the other side of the table, right in front of her.
"Here," Jasmine said then, sliding over her phone to Rin. On the screen of the phone would be an image of Jasmine's sigil, "you want this, right? I think... while I'm not opposed to the idea, I kind of... want you to add a little bit of yourself to it as well, and so... begin by telling me what you hold most dearest in your life. Your values, core beliefs, cheesy shit like that. Or if you already got everything figured out, just give me a quick description of what you want and I'll see if I can whip up a sketch. While I'm doing that, we'll think about getting you the genuine article. That sound fair?"

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Following instructions, Rin's proficiency with the flossy candy grew exponentially. For, moments ago, the girl would've ended up likely making more of a mess of the candy than actually eating it, but now she somewhat figured out how it functioned. Nomming a couple of strands, the girl then added quietly. "I wouldn't have figured I was meant to pick it off with my fingers. I thought it'd leave me messy." Finally making some progress, it wouldn't take long before Rin could nibble off of the stick with her lips. Jasmine was right in a couple of things; Particularly how, the less cotton candy remained on the stick, the less difficult it was to handle. Even so, the blonde's profound wisdom wasn't shared without a snideful remark. Rin, weighing her options, could either respond with the same kind of playful snide, or instead speak from a more truthful perspective. A lot of the time, especially recently, she had been more playful with Jasmine. Taking the banter to a higher notch and just enjoying their time together. Every once in a while however, the truth simply slipped. This was one such moment. "I've never really had much candy, to be honest. Festivals like these were also off-limits until Herr Kunshu's. There's a lot of things I still need to figure out." Offering Jasmine a warm smile, Rin continued with the conversation. Quickly returning to a more chipper tone and state of mind. They were meant to enjoy their time together after all, not lament things that hadn't gone their way. Lamenting could easily take the rest of the week to complete.."In fact, as my girlfriend, it should be your responsibility to make sure I learn more of these things. Yup, I think you should invite me out more often~" Rin teased, gently nudging Jasmine with her shoulder. Rin loved her partner, that was all that really mattered to her...Jasmine then came to a conclusion, regarding the whole tattoo business. That, of course, Rin could have a tattoo, if she wished to have one. The blonde lionness simply preferred if it had more of Rin's flair than being a straight up copy of her own. Biting her lip, Rin sunk her head forward. The gears were grinding, practically to a halt. Frankly, the raven haired female wasn't much of an artist, and putting things together were often times difficult for her. It was as if a blanket of silence had befallen the, usually, talkative raven. It was a question that Rin hadn't ever considered. Something that spoke of who she was, while still incorporating the things she liked about Jasmine's sigil. Walking on autopilot, Jasmine would likely have to somewhat steer Rin away from walking directly into things. Though, progress was clearly being made, as Rin nodded to herself on occasion, making small comments like that might be good. It wasn't that she was ignoring Jasmine by any means, it was just... Rin being Rin.After a couple of minutes, Rin finally looked at Jasmine with a somewhat bland expression. Realizing she had completely zoned out, the girl immediately apologized to her partner in crime. "Huh..? Oh! Sorry, I was.. thinking... Didn't mean to space out." Rubbing her cheek, Rin was very quick to move on to the next part though. For, if she was to say so herself, her idea wasn't bad. "I might have an idea though." Bowing her head to Jasmine, it was a personality trait that happened on occasion. Mostly when Rin wanted to put extra effort into something. It was like her focus honed in on a singular thing, disallowing her from being distracted. Even if that meant walking face first into sometihng. "...My hero name is Crimson Angel. There are things I wish to protect." Rin was somewhat gesturing into the air, hoping that somehow the gestures would help Jasmine comprehend the imagry she had within her mind. Taking a soft breath, to calm herself from getting too excited and machine gunning the info out onto Jasmine, Rin tried to explain it in depth, with precision. "I imagined a pair of angel or raven wings, folded over a flame - protecting it from the wind, keeping it burning. Keeping hope and love alive. I don't think... anything I can think of would resemble those ideals better." Rin watched Jasmine for a reaction. Hopefully the blonde understood. Hopefully the blonde could help Rin put those ideas and ideals into ink. For, one thing was certain, Rin was helpless to do it on her own... and, frankly, between the two of them, if Rin was to go alone to a tattoo artist, she'd very likely return with a less than ideal result. Only Jasmine was trusted to put anything so permanent onto her skin.

Jasmine, after having asked her question, received nothing but silence in return. She herself had been staring at the empty piece of paper for a good long while, trying to come up with something that would fit the little Raven the best. It was her first tattoo - a cherry that Jasmine got to pop, as funny as it sounded. So it would've come as no surprise to anyone that Jaz was very careful with it. If Rin really did want to go through with this the lioness would take it upon herself to make it the best tattoo Rin would ever get (should she suddenly decide to get someone else tattoo her skin, of course). While, yeah, of course Jasmine knew that it was best not to overthink such things. Her own arsenal of tattoos showed as much but then again her mind was a little different than most. Her artistic sense was sharp enough to have her come up with something for herself almost on the fly, mostly because she knew her own tastes. For Rin, though, it was a little different. You could never really delve deep enough into another person's mind to know exactly what they'd want.
After having realized that the brunette had been spacing out, Jasmine waved a hand in her face, "Hello? Earth to Rin? You there? Geez, you airhead..." she said, a short chuckle leaving her before the little Raven finally decided to speak her mind. The blonde American took this time to listen to the girl keenly, nodding here and there, taking in all of the information provided to her by her lover and digesting it, breaking it down and analyzing it in an attempt to paint a picture for herself in her mind's eye. "Crimson Angel, yeah. A little corny, to be sure, but it fits... especially because it's corny, yeah! Mhm, go on..."
It was kind of cute how Rin tried to pace her own talking. Here Jaz was expecting another slew of words that could've barely been put into a sentence properly. Props to the girl for at least trying to make this a little easier on her. "Hmmm..." Jaz's hum was long and drawn out as she leaned back into her seat, head held high as her eyes stared into the sky, "Okay, yeah, I can see it, keep going..." She knew exactly what Rin was getting at and she could barely hold back a scoff. Like hell her flame needed protecting. But, at the same time, the lioness found it incredibly endearing, so much so that she couldn't bite down the smile that made its way onto her face even if she tried a million times over and then some. "Yeah, okay. I can work with that. Here, how about this..."
Leaning back over the table, Jasmine immediately went to work. A pen in her hand, she began scribbling on it a rough outline. Her tongue was trapped between her teeth and sticking out of her mouth as she focused on the task at hand, said focus almost as sharp as it so often was when Jasmine was fighting. It was so potent that it even drew the attention of the people sitting around them, forcing them to look over to see what the lioness was doing for a few brief moments. Some even stuck around just to see the finished product as Jasmine shuffled the paper on the table around, trying to get a more comfortable angle as she finally finished with the outline and begun shading.
It took her a good half an hour until Jasmine finally produced something of an idea she could show the little Raven. It was far from being done, only a rough sketch that lacked both the proper coloring work and the shadowing that Jasmine was undoubtedly thirsting to finish. "Here, take a look," she said as she passed the paper onto Rin, ignoring the raised eyebrows of the people still watching.
The piece was stylized in a very similar way to Jasmine's own symbol yet it was a little more pronounced. It was a pair of angel wings at the top, white as snow and as graceful as a sapphirine tide, tinted red by spots of blood here and there. The lower it went, however, the more dark it turned, more ragged, tested by time. The feathers that would've normally been expected to be ones belonging to an angel were quickly revealed to be that of a raven - pitch black, wild, dangerous, yet at the same time holding a softness to them that would resemble that of a dove. The wings were turned about almost as though they were embracing something, hiding it from harm and protecting it from the harsh winds of the world. It was a fire, a bright orange at the base and crimson at the edges. Wild, free, yet at the same time weak and frail. The fire, however, was strong. Despite how frail it seemed it was strong enough to even char the feathers of the would-be raven's wings. Not too harshly, but just enough to burn away the darkness and begin making them be as white as a diamond once again.
"So, whatcha think? It's only a rough draft but I reckon you get the idea," she then asked as she watched Rin curiously, propping her head in her open palm with her elbow on the table.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Jasmine was listening, and, surprisingly, not constantly commenting on how disorganised, confused or outright silly Rin's ideas were. The only real borderline comment that Jasmine made, was calling Rin's though processes cheesy. Sending Jasmine a somewhat discontent glare, the blonde was quite quick to add, that of course being a little cheesy suited Rin quite well. As Jasmine began drawing, Rin quietly situated herself in front of the blonde, trying to peer at the paper, yet finding herself unable. It was only going to be a sketch, a quick pitch, an idea as to how the final product may look. So, that couldn't take all too long. Or so Rin had thought. After the first ten minutes, Rin was getting restless. After the second ten, she had been glancing a bit more, curious, trying to figure out how far Jasmine had gotten and how their little project was coming along. Deciding that she'd wait for the final result, she instead browsed some things on her phone, jittery with excitement. Rin was certain that Jasmine wouldn't have minded if Rin looked over her shoulder while she was working, but Rin personally hated when others didn't give herself enough space to work with. It made everything Rin tried to dd feel worse, than if she had been able to do it without a pair of eyes constantly overlooking. Occasionally, Rin would look up from the phone, trying to grasp whether Jasmine was any closer to being done. In these moments, Rin was akin to a child during christmas, waiting to unbox their presents. Excited excited excited!...Once Jasmine was finished, the phone had been put away quite a while prior. At some point, Rin had identified Jasmine's expression as finishing touches. Then, the paper was handed over to Rin. With careful touch, the raven haired female pulled it closer, inspecting the lines and the creation. For a few short moments, Rin just sat there in silence, looking, inspecting, observing. As an observer, there wasn't any emotion to trace on her face. Eyes simply moving back and forth, fingers gently caressing the sketch that Jasmine had procured. Jasmine's interpretation of what Rin had attempted to convey was... astonishing. There were even minor added details, which gave a bit more life to the concept. The wing's being charred, protecting the flame even if it would be painful. Eyes widening a little, as Rin had reached the end of the inspection, a soft wooow left her lips. The paper kept tightly between her fingers, she had to force her gaze away. The sapphire blue eyes met lilac, as Rin threw Jasmine the brightest smile this side of the planet. "It's gorgeous!! It's amazing! I absolutely love it!" Without any hesitation, without caring whether Jasmine was knocked to the ground, Rin pounced forwards, wrapping her arms around the blonde and planting a deep, solid kiss straight onto her lips. The sheer excitement and warmth of Rin being poured directly into her blonde partner. Taking a moment to simply love Jasmine, Rin eventually returned to her feet - if Jasmine had fallen - continuing the talk of the tattoo. "...Will it hurt? I bet it hurts." Excited, Rin was once again speaking a little too fast and moving a little too erratically. "Where do you think I should have the tattoo?.. I was thinking somewhere visible, yet not too visible, like perhaps my right shoulder?" Before Jasmine even got to reply, Rin had already pulled aside her shirt at the top, revealing bare skin at her shoulder. Looking to the spot, she then looked to Jasmine, then back to the spot, as if asking do you think that's a good idea? Then, the most important piece of information seemed to dawn on Rin. This was merely a sketch and not a finished product. Thus, there wasn't much discussion as to where the tattoo was even going to go. At least not until it had properly finished. So, once again, before Jasmine really got any feet to the ground, Rin continued quick-launching quesitons. "...but waiting with that, we'd need to finish the tattoo first, right?... How do we finish, what more needs to be done?... Do you need more thoughts from me?... I don't really know if I have more thoughts, I just really like this.." Yup, the girl was still socially awkward. However, unlike when Rin and Jasmine had first met, when Rin was just a quiet, silent creature, preferring to hide in the shadows... nowadays she was bubbling with excitement, happiness and... well, love for her partner. Yes, Rin may have been the most awkward girl that Jasmine had ever been together with. Despite all of the raven's massive flaws, despite all of the horrible things they had lived through together, there was one thing which Rin did better than most. What the girl said, she meant. So, when the immediate, excitable rush quietly died down, and Rin found a few moments to regain her composure, the words that she spoke were so honest, so truthful and so endearing that... maybe, just maybe, Jasmine would forgive the social awkwardness. "I really appreciate you helping me, sweetheart... I want you to know that this means a lot to me. To share this with you, I mean." Smiling warmly, Rin giggled, prodding the blonde's nose. "I love you, Jasmine~"
