With the dance over, the teacher's party began. Kasey couldn't help but notice that while the rest were having fun, a certain face was missing. It wasn't like anyone could miss it, being a different hue than the others. With a smile, she strolled down the hall, three cups in hand. She wore the same basic attire she did any day. A suit, black coat, black slacks, a black clip on tie, a red shirt under, and if she opened her coat, black vest would be revealed. Her face red, all of the drink settling into her body. Her left hand was still bandaged, but had no longer bled. Her own cup of punch and booze greeting her with each sip. In her right, she held two more cups in her palm, both of the alcoholic and non, variety. Setsuna, unlike any other time before, was worn around her neck like a scarf. He was no longer hidden away, but was worn for all to see. He had remained mostly silent, until now, that was. "You're going to talk to her, during a movie, she's supposed to be supervising?" his voice whispered into her ear. He was what appeared to be some dead animal worn for fashion, wrapped around her neck like a loose fluffy scarf, without the fur. His head over her right shoulder, watching ahead of her. His limbs holding onto her coat with each step. His tail bonded to her spine, a wound hidden by his own body. They were still together, even if separate. Kasey would enter the room, quietly, without much fuss. It was one of the few moments that a lack of shoes benefited her. The cloth on her feet covering any sound she may have made. "Excuse me, Master Junko, I didn't see you at the party, so I figured I'd bring a bit of the party to you." She would say, extending her right hand to the woman, both drinks in hand. One had marker written on it, with a giant "X" "That one has a little spice, if that's what you wanted."~ Word Count: 351 ~ |

Stupid christmas, stupid christmas eve, stupid christmas movies. And all of these kids too. Stupid and useless. Although, something happened during this dull movie fest. The janitor appeared and was specifically looking for.......... her? why?
Ah the teacher party thing. Well, that was incredibly thoughtful and polite of her. Junko took the cup without the X "Why thank you very much. That was kind of you." Junko said quetly as to not disturb the students who were enjoying their stupid christmas movie
She was very grateful to Kasey, but now, what does she do? Junko just kept an eye on the brats and sipped the drink. She didnt understand did Kasey wish to talk more or if she was gonna leave and go back to the party. What was her goal? Junko didnt wanna ask her to stay here if she did not wish that. Not to mention Junko didnt feel like she could talk to anyone. Especially not here in this room.
She just waited to see what would Kaseys next action be. If she left, then Junko would return to her duties and appreciate this little gesture in peace. If not well, only one way to find out

Kasey made her way to the wall beside the woman, careful to not disturb her view. She lifted her cup to her lips, finishing it, before setting the cup in her right hand, into her cup, stacking them. She lifted her newest drink to her lips, silent, watching the movie for a bit before speaking to the woman. "Have you always celebrated Christophermas?" she would ask. Kasey would never really understand the name for the holiday, or the symbols and their importance to the celebration. The trees, the lights, the jolly fat man that was obviously evil, even though everyone insisted he was good, or fake. That was how the devil got away. He convinced the world he was just a story, but she knew he was more than real. "I imagine it's pretty hard trying to have a celebration being a famous hero and all." she would say, lifting her drink to her lips again, her face reddened, as Setsuna watched over the students as well. Junko was a mutant, and like mutants, they were already looked at strangely. Kasey wasn't as easily to spot as they were, but still, for Setsuna to be around, it was their work that made her life, well, easier. ~ Word Count: 206 ~ |

So Kasey wanted to stay. Interesting. She asked Junko if she always celebrated............................. Christophermas?... She means Christmas, right? Junko raised her brow when she heard Kasey utter the strange word. Shethen made an assumption that it must be hard to celebrate it because she's a famous hero
Where does she begin. This was already entering the realm of small talk. Junko got up and told Kasey that they should leave the room so they can chat in peace without distrbing the kids
Once they were out and Junko closed the door, she would speak "Much better. And to answer your question. No I did not celebrate Christmas. I did not celebrate anything. Celebrations and parties are a foreign concept to me. I tried to take par in a Halloween party that Red Horn hosted. But, I was just mostly at the sidelines. Everyone miggled and well... I decided to leave and slip unnoticed." she explained how she simply didnt get to party or celebrate anything before. A short but not overly short explanation
Now to ask Kasey "Famous Hero? I think you must have confused me with someone else. I did not get to do a lot of proper Hero work. I do try to be an active Pro Hero, but alas I have to remain here. And every time I do try do something helpful and worthwhile. Things tend to not go my way. At most, I am a teacher who is keeping a class of hooligans from turning evil." she said
She did not enjoy her work at UA, she was called because she was a fresh hero who followed the rules to a T. She was called because a student gouged out a civillians eye. She was called because students were drugged with QED, she was called because 1C lacked a teacher. Now she is just keeping her class from turning Villain. Aeris failed at keeping 1A in shape. Junko saw it from the womans teaching method. She had to keep 1C on a leash. Protect the world from the likes of Alex and Darren. And that god awful Hayley.

Perhaps it was wrong to have a conversation during a movie, even at low volumes. Even if they spoke near a whisper, perhaps it was still rude. With her suggesting them to speak outside for the moment, Kasey couldn't help but wonder what kind of people the teachers really were. Outside of that chat for the staff, there was no contact with them. She knew only a few students, and the nurses. She would go on to speak about Halloween, something Kasey could relate to. After all, it was her favorite holiday of the year. but to hear that even she did not enjoy it, much less participate in it, did bring her a bit of sadness. It was truly, the most wonderful time of the year. Why did she not choose to celebrate? but when she went on, talking about how she wasn't a professional at all, Kasey felt confused. All the teachers were professional heroes. Some might have experience in different fields, sure. Red Horn fought people head on. Umbra was good at sneaking around. Army of One dealt with crooks. Darkshine did damage control. They were all heroes in their own right. "Well, the students certainly look up to you." she would tell her, "You're a symbol to them. All of the people calling mutants freaks and monsters, you're kinda like, our beacon of hope, like Army of One." Kasey would say aloud to her. It wasn't her words, but that of the boy that arranged all of this. Chimera had his opinions on heroes, and so did Kasey. It seemed like it was the mutants that protected Japan, and it was the emitters who were the one's causing trouble. "Kids do, do stupid things. I think it would be best to get all of their frustration out, rater than letting it get bottled up and they unload on each other... like last time." she said to to herself, shivering at the thought of it. "I think everyone really appreciates what you do." She would say with a smile. ~ Word Count: 342 ~ |

Kasey said some interesting things, or well funny things more like it. Students who look up to me. She could only count Akio and perhaps Melody. Thats 2 people. Not even 5 people for 5 fingers. Just 2 people.
Kasey went on to say that Junko was a symbol. A symbol for .... mutants? That was a new one. A thought that did not cross her mind. Army of One. Junko did not meet this Hero. She knew she was a mutant, but she did not meet her. Kasey then said that students appreciate her. Somehow Junko had a hard time believing that "That is very kind of you but, do you really believe that?" she asked. Did these kids really appreciate her. Honestly, she feels even if she died protecting them from some cataclysm that the kids would still be the same ingrates. She believes she could be easily replaced. Thats what Junko thought
But nevertheless, when it came to appreciation, she appreciated Kasey "Well... I appreciate your kind gesture. People usually dont take their time to interact with me or cheer me up. I appreciate your concern and I thank you" she thanked Kasey
She might have not been the most social person ever, but she was not an ingrate. She knew her manners and was very grateful for this small token, this small gesture of kindness. It did make her life a tad bit easier.

Maybe it was more of a waste of time. She didn't seem to be sociable, or even up to talk for that matter. No, that wasn't it at all. Kasey understood it simply. She was just the janitor, just another staff member who was seen as expendable. Her title seemed more and more like a placeholder every day. Building little things to help others, breaking things to be fixed correctly. Supervising other things, and repairing and maintaining others. She might as well have been an engineer, but someone had to sit at the bottom of the totem pole. Of course, not even the students respected her. Why should any of the teachers? "Well, they know you mean business. I suppose telling the janitor, is easier than telling their idol." Kasey lifted the drink to her lips ,finishing it in a strange awkward silence. Setsuna peered towards the door, wondering if there was anything he was missing. "I suppose I should let you do your job then. I didn't mean to disturb you, Master Junko." She would hold the empty cup with her fingers as she placed them onto her legs, bowing slightly towards the woman. As she rose, she took a step backwards, bowing again. "I believe they really do look up to you, even if it doesn't seem like it. I will see you around." Kasey would make her way out, heading back to the party, unsure of what to really make of the whole ordeal. That was, unless Junko had something to add. But it didn't seem like she had much to say... ~ Word Count: 265 ~ |

She wasnt sure how she came off to Kasey. Junko thought she did her best at being ploite, sociable and thankful. But considering she recently had nothing but failiure after failiure after failiure, she just began to doubt some things, including her own actions. She hoped she did not upset Kasey, not after she had gone through all this trouble to cheer her up
But it seemed like the janitor was ready to leave. Did Junko really blow her off just like that? Was she that bad at socializing? Kasey's words did make her think. Sure the blue teacher did not seek fame as a Hero, but sometimes a small act of kindness would go a long way. A small act like offering her a drink. Just like how Kasey did?
What should she do now? Offer something in return? "Hey. If you want. You can join us in this movie night?" Junko asked, maybe a bit clumsily. She felt as if she handled this situation bad, especially after Kasey went on to actually do something nice for her. Surely Junko can do something for her in return? Maybe they can spend time together during movie night? Thats a social start, right?

She was an outsider. She was always an outsider. Even among her blood relative, Cherry, she was foreign, changed. She didn't fit in, she was never quite herself. She was a janitor that everyone found suspicious, and perhaps for good reason. She was a worker everyone assumed was doing dark dealings. She was a honest woman, working dishonest jobs. All she wanted to do, was to clean up. That was meant for the school, or the entire country. That was her duty. To clean up the messes of others. For both good and evil. She slowed her step, only to hear the offer of the woman. It was odd to hear from her, and based on student words, it was something none would expect to ever hear from her. She was after all, the hard ass of Yuuei. Why would anyone have any reason to see her as kind? She was respectable, smart, and to the book. The girl would bow to the woman, facing her once more. "That would be very nice, thank you."But she held back tears. Even if she was not the sweetest woman in the world like Cherry, she was still someone Kasey would begin to learn to call her first friend.~ Word Count: 208 ~ |
