OOC notes – I’ll see how busy this does or doesn’t get before I establish any post order ‘skip’ rules, though I don’t think I’ll need to if I’m honest. Context is Mia holding a Halloween party the night of Halloween! The party will be at her office building, her offices consisting of two floors. Donwstairs is the actual office, where people typically come to request her aid or pick up / deliver paperwork, etc. Second floor is the living area, lots of open space, Mia clearly hasn’t bought enough furniture to fill the space yet, making the expensive size feel poor from how empty it is.
IC Begins
Mia was always a lover of Halloween. Whether it be for the excuse to dress up or the actual scares Mia was definitely a fan. She reveled in the holiday more than even Christmas, and boy did her family love Christmas! For Mia though Halloween just won out, hands down. Maybe it was just the fact that she had fun with mischief night too so much in her teens but even at this age the excuses to dress up, eat candy, and play ludicrous games was just embedded into her system and constantly holding the fun dial all the way to 11. She’d made sure to go all out for the Halloween decorations. Nothing was obtrusive, like, it didn’t fill too much of the space, but there’d been no expense spared.
Right outside the door were most guests would see right away thanks to getting off the elevator, two skeletons in cool guy shades, leather jackets, , and torn up jeans. One of them had a speech bubble taped to the wall beside it reading ‘welcome to the party pal.’ The other having a speech bubble reading ‘Ain’t up to be scared? Ain’t you a nerd.’. Had Mia written those herself? Yes. Most definitely. She was going more for a fun atmosphere tonight than anything outright terrifying. Once you opened the door, you’d get about 5 steps before a carboard vampire popped down from the ceiling, the image reaching out for the newcomers upside down and giving them a light jumpscare, likely the only one of the night unless the guests were eager to scare eachother.
In the main office area Mia had moved some of the chairs together to create a little ‘booth’ area in the corner around a veritable mountain of candy, in another corner, there were more cardboard monsters around a witche’s cauldron filled with green liquid. Mia tore the cap off another Barrel of mountain dew and let it pour into the cauldron. She wasn’t too sure if apples floated in fizzy drinks but the idea was good enough for her to roll with it and hope it worked, starting with the apples next as she picked up a straw sack of the stuff and poured it into the cauldron.
Some other small things were set up. She’d set up a small camera on a tripod, put instructions on a sticky note of how to set it to a timer if people wanted to take pictures. There were a few different barrels against a wall with tapped hoses for people to fill up on beer or fizzy drinks. Spiders on the walls, pumpkins about too. Mia’s family were mostly upstairs enjoying some sweets she’d left up there. The space up their was decorated too incase anyone wandered up there, with orange themed police tape across all the doors Mia didn’t want people going into. Mostly her room and a storage closet.
Downstairs with the blonde, who herself was dressed like the most bombastic character she was aware of, Kamina, was her brother, Mark. The much smaller boy stretched his wings as he leaned against the arm of a couch, his purple spikes poking out the holes he’d had to make in any shirt he owned. His wings were painted black and he had some fake fangs in trying to go for a Dracula look.
“Our first Halloween in this country and you really think people are gonna come?”
“Oi, stop being a Debbie downer. They’ll come. I make friends fast you know that.” Mia pulled out her phone, flipping it open, double checking she’d sent her hero contacts the right address, and even checking the few other invites she’d sent out…she half hoped those ones did come, and half hoped they wouldn’t. She liked all of ‘em but…on the other hand, she’d have to keep an eye on them. Couldn’t have underaged kids drinking in the presence of pros…especially if Junko came. Or any other teachers for that matter. Junko just felt like…Mia wasn’t sure but the woman held herself like an authority figure and Mia wasn’t eager to face her down over the matter of how ‘kids will be kids’, especially late teens. “Trust me give it an hour we’ll at least get a few people. If not we can have some fun as a family. Got plenty of sweets to crash out on!~”

I'm only a social creature when sugar is involved. .
When you're a six-foot-something bee woman with a large abdomen and a pair of wings, you choices in costumes were somewhat limited. Over the few years of school that she had been interested in dressing up (instead of just going as herself to the parties) she'd been a few things multiple times: a fairy, and angle, a butterfly, a bird, a long ladybug, a dragonfly with large hips...not very creative ideas, but it was hard making an interesting costume that also kept her wings loose.
Plus she could paint her wings into very pretty colors. Case and point, her current costume was making full use of her wings. An hour or so before Redhorn's party was live she'd carefully been painting them in shades of gold, white, and a red-ish shade of violet. Her gown was all white with a crown to match, and as she drifted off the ground it floated in the air with her feet hidden beneath it, giving the illusion that she had none. An elegant specter, or perhaps one of the fair folk--she hadn't really come up with a "name" for this one. Still, she felt quite lovely in it, and during Halloween, she didn't feel strange showing herself off in this way.
Hopefully Redhorn, their family and friends, and the other heroes in attendance would like her appearance.
She floated down from above onto the doorstep of Redhorn's office building. She smiled softly at the pair of quite well-dressed skeletons bidding her welcome, and then pressed her claws (also painted white) against the handle and floated inside. A genuine chuckle passed through her lips. With all the monsters, spooky decorations, and piles of candy and other goodies, it felt certainly like a party like the ones she'd attended as a teenager or young adult. She was morbidly curious about the bubbling...witches' brew that held the apples--was that soda? Would the apples taste like soda now?
When she saw the host of the party, who was impossible to misname with the large red horn atop her head, she paused. Meeting a new hero at a party would be a bit strange. She was used to the formal setting of the school to help her occasionally awkward social skills to sound less forced and just a little stern. But they had invited her and the other pro heroes after all, so...
Come on, you can do it.
But she's foreign. Will she even understand the gift?
It's Halloween, nobody is going to turn down candy.
...I hope.
Hachi glided to her and held out a small jar wrapped with a yellow bow. "Good evening, Redhorn. I'm Yellow Jacket. Or...well, Tsutsuji Hachi, if we aren't only going by hero names. Thank you for inviting me. I hope you don't mind, but..." she held up the jar somewhat for the contents to be seen. A number of unwrapped, golden yellow orbs filled it to nearly the brim. Their color was unmistakably honey. "I brought a small gift. It's...customary in Japan to give gifts to the host. They're hard candies, made with honey from my bee hives. I hope you and your family like them."
Good first interaction. Only a dozen to go.

Kenshin never really cared much for Halloween. It wasn't that he disliked the holiday or anything. It was just that the boy did not see what the big deal was. He was not of fan of candy or other sweet food in general, and costumes that weren't used for concealing his identity during his vigilante work were not really something Kenshin particularly cared about. The only time he had ever gone trick-or-treating was with his younger brother Sai. Otherwise, Kenshin would prefer to either just stay at home doing things he saw as far more important, or go out and find some criminals to stop. However, this year was different. Kenshin was actually going out to attend a Halloween party. Of course, Kenshin's reason for going was not to go out and socialize, have fun, or any of that. No, he was coming for one reason and one reason alone. He was invited by none other than the pro hero Red Horn. Ever since he met Mia, Kenshin was looking forward to hanging out with the heroine again. Whether it was to fight off criminal scum or just to chat, Kenshin was more than happy to spend time with her. Upon receiving the message from Mia about the party, it took Kenshin all he had not to start jumping up and down in excitement while screaming at the top of his voice like an excited fangirl. Well of course there was no way he would turn such an invitation down! After telling his family the exciting news, his mother began to suggest costumes for the boy to wear. Kenshin sighed, but did not complain too much. Fortunately for him, Kenshin's mom chose a really cool costume for him. Rather than some stereotypical 'scary' outfit like a ghost or monster, she picked out a red samurai armor, complete with helmet and mask. The cool part was that the costume was very similar in appearance to his father's armor mutation quirk. Kenshin would wear this outfit with pride. After putting on the costume (it was a shame that he would probably not be allowed to bring a fake sword as well, since it would have really completed the look), Kenshin made his way to Mia's office building. While the boy kept walking, he saw some people looking at his costume, staring in amazement. One blue-haired tanned teen even called out to him. "Yo, that's one awesome costume, dude!" Kenshin smiled and thanked the guy for the compliment. After less than half an hour of walking, Kenshin finally made it to the party. Looking around, Kenshin did not recognize any of the guests. They were all probably invited by Mia. Speaking of Mia, Kenshin spotted her talking to someone. Waiting for her to finish her conversation, Kenshin then approached the heroine, taking off the helmet and mask so that she could recognize him. "Hey! How's it going?" | Word count: 484
Notes: What other costume would have been more fitting for sword boy?

Red Horn has organized a little halloween party and surprisingly invited Junko as well. The blue heroine was pleasantly surprised as she imagined that no one would invite her to a party. No one did before, so why would anyone now. But today she was mistaken. Only problem was that it was a Halloween party, so people had to be dressed in costumes and such. Junko had no costumes. She never did dress up. She never went to parties. Being underprepared was an understatement.
She looked online to see if she can find any fictional characters that were blue like her. She surfed the net until she found an adequate one. All she needed was a white dress and white high heels, which she already had. All she needed to get was a blonde wig. She dressed up and went to one of those costume shops to buy a simple blonde wig.
After doing all of that, even if everything wasnt 100% like the character, she hoped she'd get the idea across, blonde hair, white clothes, blue skin. Looking herself in the mirror, Junko sighed. She didnt like how she looked, she really felt... blue. But, she couldnt waste time. She had a party to get to.
When she arrived she saw there were already people. Here, she was out of her element, she had no idea what to do

Halloween party huh... That's new... Though not the first time she'd been invited to a halloween party, Kanna defenitely couldn't remember the last she recieved an invitation with her own name on it. It felt almost unbelievable really, to someone whose notion of "Halloween Party" involved wandering inside a crowded nightclub to check out all the slutty vampires, slutty werewolves and slutty sluts. And Red Horn to boot... Just how the hell did she get a hold of the blonde's contact info? Internet stalking was Kanna's thing, she really wasn't used to people managing to do it on her. Naturally, she also immediately assumed the Oni to have required such methods, taking far longer to assume she could have just asked around some friends on Yuuei's staff, which hardly seemed unlikely once the blonde arrived and saw one of the teachers there. 1-C's homeroom huh...? She never cared too much for Halloween beyond her sweet tooth, but then again, Kanna seldom cared much for anything beyond games and gadgets. This time, she cared enough to actually find herself a proper costume, coming in dressed in red like the aristocratic vampires of old, even though still held on to her usual hairstyle. Even then she couldn't help but fall prey to that greeting jumpscare, jolting slightly by nonetheless keeping her cool far more easily than most:
With a curious smirk on her lips as she examined the sights, Kanna strolled around until she happened upon Mia, "Yo, got your invite...", greeted the blonde, waving at her host as she showed up, smirking as she looked her choice of costume, or rather, cosplay, "...Still, hadn't pegged you for an otaku... Not bad." Still, the more Kanna looked around, the more it dawned on her that she didn't really know anybody here. Sure, she was used to not knowing anybody at halloween parties, but then again, she wasn't really at a nightclub. She wouldn't mind hanging out by herself for a while as she checked the place out, but even a loner like her really wouldn't mind running into a familiar face. Getting drunk by yourself at a party is... Kinda depressing really. Maybe she'd find someone interesting among the other guests, while carefully avoiding Junko-sensei. She might not be her teacher, but she still made sure to keep an eye on the strict woman, just in case... Probably Mia herself might object to the underage blonde grabbing herself a drink, or smoke, so she'd be keeping a low profile for the most part, especially as she snuck over to grab herself some drinks. Find them predictably, disappointingly non alcholic, she still know she might find the real stuff somewhere.

By the time guests had started rolling in Mia had everything just about set up. Cauldron was full, Mark was sipping his second cup of coca cola, and she herself felt nice, loose, and ready to host. She wondered what kinda people would show up. She doubted someone like Darkshine would show, heck she even doubted Junko would even so much as consider it from what little she’d seen and heard of her. She expected some of the kids to come at least. Some to hang, some for free booze potentially, she wasn’t at all sure which was which with them and honestly that just made her love the kids all the more.
When her first guest showed, Mark flexed his wings on the couch, turning his head and legitimately a little surprised. Not only by the fact they had a guest but now the building was still filled with nothing but mutations. Mia opened her arms up with a wide grin to accept Yellow Jacket, having seen the other heroes on the news and such, but seeing this particular mutation in person certainly threw her for a small loop. Stepping closer she intended to greet her with a strong, double handed handshake, but instead the jar was brought to her attention, taking it in her hands carefully, knowing full well she could smash any jar if she was too eager in handling it.
“Oh er…damn Yellow-“ She stopped herself, smirking a little at her slip. “Tsutsuji? Or is it Hachi? Still get thrown by how you guys order your names.” She’d go with whatever Yellow jacket preferred to be called by and shifted closer to a table, about to put the sweets down, but pausing and putting them behind the place where her desk usually was on the office level, up on a shelf where no one could take ‘em. “Er…I’ll share ‘em if that’s what ya had planned but they look super tasty so mind if I’m a little greedy?” She offered a playful grin, hoping that was okay before finally taking the bee ladies hand, one hand on it, one further up her arm with a good shake, though she was careful since the insect like arms looked like they could snap like a twig if someone wasn’t careful.
“Pleasure to meet another pro though! I’ll make sure to repay the gesture if you ever throw a party. You can call me Red, Red Horn, Mia or, heck, I’d let ya call me Kearney but with my fam here that might get confusing.” She shifted to the bee lady’s side and gestured to a sweet table. “Why don’t you make yourself at home while I see about greeting any other guests?”
She wasn’t trying to pawn Yellow off on the sweets or anything, Mia just wanted to make sure everyone got some attention on their first arrival. Mark got even more surprised when he heard the door open again, but scoffed when it was just some kid, getting up and heading to the stairs. “I’ll go tell the fam to get down here since we’re getting’ so busy.”
Mia rolled her eyes and lightly ruffled his hair as he passed, before turning her attention to Kenshin, offering out a bro style hand grasp and shoulder meet, colliding with his samurai armor easily enough with her own tough skin. “’eeeey if it ain’t my little warrior buddy. Not exactly a subtle choice of costume…but…er…” She lowered her voice a little so Yellow couldn’t hear. “Good to have ya here, but just so ya know, most of the guests are gonna be pros. Hang out by all means just er…be extra careful to keep the vigi shit on the down low. Sound good?” She offered a warm smile to show she was just looking out for him, then gave him a pat on the back to send him to the sweets too. “We already got yellow jacket here if you wanna go fanboy on someone other than me!~”
With a third opening of the door, Mia tipped her head back instead, hearing her family coming down the stairs. Her dad, a sasquatch mutation, had dyed his fur blue with purple spots and put in little horns on his head, he was a big jolly man and certainly fit the theme of his costume. Her mom was an angel, literally. Both in costume and quirk. She’d worn a white gown like dress, her white, soft wings curled in behind her, and a small yellow halo made of tinsel resting on her head. Mia’s sister didn’t do so well finding an easy costume to fit her quirk, having no clear mutation beyond a lion tail swishing behind her rump, though that was because her mutation was semi-transformaiton, and her wings were strapped in under her clothes. Despite the tail she’d dressed up as a half-shifted werewolf, her wild blonde hair like Mia’s and the claws she could form using her quirk (she was actually a griffin) making her look like a half decent werewolf.
“Hey fam, just in time to catch another pro among our ranks!” She noticed junko before she noticed what she was dressed as, approaching her to offer her the same welcome shake as Yellow before dropping low in a heavy snicker. “Smurfette, the hero we don’t deserve!~” She moved in to give that welcoming shake all the same. “Nice to meetcha in person Junko. I hear semi-decent thing from the kids at your school.” She offered a wink to show she was mainly just teasing “Seriously though, always good to have more pros at the party. You make sure you enjoy yourself okay? We might have one or two kids from the school coming, but I promise they ain’t gonna be causin’ any trouble for you, okay?” She gave Junko a light pat on the back and sent her to the sweets to mingle too, briefly taking a moment to catch her family up on who was attending before her next guest arrived.
When Kanna showed up, Mia snickered a little at what was a very good, but seemed like a pretty ‘hot under the collar’ costume, and not in the sexy way. Seemed stuffy to say the least. Ah well she’d showed up.~ “Ayyy if it isn’t little miss doc oc. Moving up in the world if you’ve gone to full on lord Dracula. Mark, this is the badass who did what you never could. Beat me in a fight.”
Mark rolled his eyes and sipped his drink, Mia shooting Kanna a glance. “Oi, this badass of a man ain’t exactly Otaku level, now why don’t you hush up…aaand…” She glanced to the adults at the sweet table, before pointing Kanna at the drinks table. “Get yourself a drink, mix it with some coke or somethin’ to be subtle. I ain’t against you havin’ a drink ‘ere but just don’t get me in trouble over it alright?” She offered a discrete little fistbump to the blonde.

Crime was everywhere. From shoplifting to arson, from grand-theft auto to murder, Toyko was a wretched hive of vice and sin. It was a hero’s job to set an example. To be a hero, it wasn’t just enough to battle crime. You had to be a symbol. A shining light. You had to show the public a better path, and let rapscallions who prefered the path of thuggery see the consequences. There were few crimes on earth more heinous than an dull halloween costume. Mikhail would rather slither back to the hospital than be caught in public as a bed-sheet ghost, or, perish the thought, some closet cosplay. Halloween only came once a year, and even though it wasn’t precisely a traditional holiday, it was probably the most fun. How could anyone live knowing they’d wasted it? Voices came from the door as Mikhail approached the address he’d been given. It sounded like he was late. Fashionably late, perhaps, but late nevertheless. On one hand, that meant he got to make a bit of a entrance. On the other, that meant he didn’t get a chance to people-watch as the rest of the guest entered. Ah, life was full of a little tradeoffs. Well, he wasn’t going to accomplish anything by standing outside. He slithered up to the door, smirking at the skeletons. It was a good sign that Redhorn had a sense of humor. Then he reached out, rapped on the door, and slithered inside. It was a lively crowd. Mikhail managed to spot Tsutsuji Hachi, and what could only be Redhorn herself at a glance, but before he could get a better look, a cut-out of a vampire sprung from the ceiling, catching him by surprised. He rocked back on his tail, going almost flat against the ground on pure reflex before he realized that kind of movement was not the best idea in his current state. A stab of pain burnt into his side, and he let out a gasp, his eyes watering. Stupid reflexes. Stupid Cut-out. Stupid broken ribs. Mikhail drew himself back up, holding onto the wall for support, arching an unamused eyebrow at the vampire. “You suck.” He muttered under his breath. His dignity slightly hurt, he finished his path to the host without fanfare, giving Redhorn a grin and a salute. “Citizen. I’m here for safety. I’m afraid it might be in danger of getting hot in here.” He proclaimed. The line was only made worse by the costume he’d picked. Mikhail had decided to come dressed as a fireman. Well. Technically as a fireman. He was wearing a fire hat, a jacket, and suspenders. He’d somehow misplaced his shirt. White bandages were rolled around his waist, almost up to his chest, giving him a little more modesty, but a window of his lean chest was on display above them. It certainly wasn’t indedecent, but it was a little suggestive. Finally, the entire lower half of his body, from the hips down--the whole giant snake’s tail--was covered in what looked like a giant red fire hose, held up by a belt and his suspenders. It was...a look. Mikhail held out two packages from under his arm, both wrapped in paper. One was sake, and the other sparkling plum juice. It was a family-friendly event, after all. And he hadn’t known what she liked, so he just went with a safe bet. They’d both been expensive enough no one should complain. “Mikhail Orlov. Or...well, Serperior. Nice shades.” Mikhail finished with a wink. He could already tell she had a sense of humor. The costume just confirmed it. And also told him Redhorn was a nerd.

I'm only a social creature when sugar is involved. .
Hachi smiled just slightly at Mia's admitted confusion. So she was a foreigner after all--sometimes Quirks made it hard to tell when everyone could look like anything. "Hachi would be my first name, so it would be Tsutsuji-san at the moment. If you're not used to honorifics, feel free to call me by my hero name, though. I am comfortable with it." She let a small chuckle out as her gift was stowed away on a high shelf. It was nice to know they looked good enough that Mia wanted them for herself--Hachi's cooking was nowhere near professional levels (even the students in the cooking class were astonishingly better than her) but she had been working with honey a long time. It was literally second-nature. "If you think you can eat the whole jar, go forth. I hope you enjoy them, Red."
If was weird not using honorifics, but Mia was foreign and it was a nickname rather than her given name.
Once free from the host's attention Hachi took a look around at the growing crowd of heroes that were in attendance. She recognized Junko, the homeroom teacher for class 1-C, as well as Kanna Kusanagi, a student from class 1-A. Ah. So not only were pro heroes invited, but perhaps a few students that Mia knew personally? Interestingly there was a face she didn't recognize right away that Mia was talking quietly to. Hachi didn't dare eavesdrop, though, instead walking towards (what else) the table piled with candy.
And then she spotted another familiar face approaching Mia. A serpentine, pretty-boy face. Dressed in the most ridiculous looking fireman's costume she'd seen.
Hachi groaned, holding her spot until Mia and Mikhail had had their chance to exchange greetings and pleasantries, before she floated over to them and quite gently placed her hand on Mikhail's shoulder. "Orlov-san, what in god's name are you wearing?" Her large red eyes narrowed just so, but with her face the way it was, it was hard to tell what emotion she was expressing. Her voice implied bemusement. "You look like you just stepped out of a very specific host club."
This is the man I invited to TA my class.
What was I thinking?

As Kenshin got closer to Mia, he then realized just who it was she was talking to. It was the Pro Hero Yellow Jacket. Kenshin always thought the bee lady looked cool, seeing as she was a freaking bee lady. How awesome is that? The boy wondered just which Pro Heroes would show up to the party. After the two greeted each other, Kenshin chuckled as Mia noted that his choice of costume was anything but subtle. But then she lowered her voice to a whisper and told the boy to be careful. Seeing as most of the guests would be pro heroes, bringing up the fact that he was a vigilante was most unwise. Kenshin nodded as he whispered back. "Yeah, understood." Not that he was going to say anything about his vigilante work anyway. The boy wasn't stupid, after all. Kenshin then laughed again when the heroine suggested that he go see Yellow Jacket if he wanted someone else to fanboy on. He was already trying his best not to fanboy at all. Although perhaps it would not be such a bad idea to talk to Yellow Jacket, although not for the fanboying reasons. Seeing as she was a teacher at UA, perhaps she could tell the boy more about the place. He already heard a bit about it from Miku, but maybe a teacher's perspective would be worth checking out. It was worth a shot, right? However, that would have to wait. She was currently about to talk to someone else. So with nothing else to do at the moment, Kenshin walked off to get a drink. Not feeling in the mood for soda or juice, the boy settled for water. As he took a sip, he noticed a girl with a really awesome vampire outfit. Kenshin wondered whether he should go to her and tell her how awesome her costume was, but ultimately decided against it. Taking another sip of his water, Kenshin wondered what he should do now. What do people even do at parties? He decided to just stay and chill for a while. He didn't mind just chilling all by himself, but if someone wanted to talk to him, he wouldn't mind. @whoever I'm supposed to tag | Word count: 369

Red Horn or Mia was quite a pleasant host. Quite polite and reassuring, saying that some kids may come and that they wont cause trouble. That was good "Okay. Thank you" she said briefly and allowed Red Horn to tend to other party guests
And indeed a few more people arrived, a young girl who she could assume is a student and well.. Serperior. She had not met the man, but here he was now. In the flesh. He was an interesting fella.
Seeing as she wasnt really a party person, she just moved over to the sidelines. She felt too embarassed to mingle and interact with anyone. She talked to Red Horn, she did her duty. It was impolite to refuse an invitation, especailly one that she does not get very often. But then, what now. Junko went to get a drink, some juice. Nothing too extreme. She watched the party unfold and wondered if this was something for her. All things considered, she was what the kids would describe as a 'party pooper', she was too much of a downer to have fun with. The problem wasnt the party. The problem was her. This was the part where people would make jokes about her being blue

"Just be thankful I ain't sparkin', cause that would be way too scary even for Halloween.", replied, casually throwing around quips on each other's choice of outfit like a pair of long time friends. Little did anyone know they'd only just met a couple weeks back, at an impromptu fighting ring set up at the military base. Whoever said clashing fists is a great way to get know someone defenitely got it right with these two, as the shorter blonde chuckled at the comment, nodding and waving at everyone else in the room in turn, but for the most part keeping her eyes on the jovial Oni. Kanna was never one for modesty, and yet thinking back on that battle still made her scratch behind the neck and grin, all but rolling her eyes. Damn, Mia really hyped her out too much for someone who held back... She'd never know just how much of her true strength the pro withheld until they fought again, but alas, fighting was the last thing on her mind right now: "Whoa jumping to conclusions there... Who said otaku level can't be badass?", Kanna pointed out, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow, all the more so when Mia's tone took a turn for the serious, discreetly making an offer she'd get frowned upon for if anyone else heard her, "'iight, you got it.", replied Kanna, raising her hands in front of her and nodding, then finally smirking cumplicitly at her host, "I'll keep an eye out, no worries." Returning the fistbump, that look she shared with Mia made it quite clear exactly who she'd be keeping an eye out for, well, mostly everyone that not another student like her. Sure, other students could tell the teacher, but Kanna could very easily call bullshit if the need arose. In the end she actually appreciate Red Horn's upfront honesty, and that kind of deal worked perfectly for the rebellious blonde: Keep a low profile and you can drink whatever.
Seemed fair enough.
Though she failed at finding the beer at first, she look around for a couple more room, and eventually found the good stuff Mia had mentioned, inside a room with a tripod and camera. Seeing this, Kanna's lips widened into a triumphant smile: "Jackpot~", mumbled the blonde, chugging her potion/soda as she moved in for a refill, timing it when neither her teacher or her host would be watching at least. She saw only beer for now, maybe later she'd find something heavier, but this would do nicely. She filled most of her glass with beer, mixing it with lemon sode, cleverly disguising the telltale yellow color.
Though she'd been careful enough to get her refill away from prying eyes, she knew to keep an eye out all the same, all while acting as casual and inconspicuously as possible... At this point, only someone who knew Kanna from school might suspect the delinquent to be up to no good.

Aw shit, she was late. Normally Jasmine was a pretty punctual gal, all things considered. It wasn't like she went out of her way to make sure she was always on time (class was probably the one thing she was consistently late for on a planned basis) but more often than not being late simply annoyed her. In this case? Well, this shit was simply out of her control. See, what happened was... Jasmine was dressed as DC's Harley Quinn. You know, that overused version from Suicide Squad? Yeah, she was kind of... too lazy to get overly original with her costume, plus it looked like only one out of a hundred girls here in Japan could pull it off properly so she figured it wouldn't be as bad as it would've been, say, back home in NYC. So yeah, the whole reason for her being late? Rin had fucked up with her hair. The blonde lioness had asked her roommate to help out with the costume, the hair, make up, all of those things. Well, rather... okay, so Jasmine didn't actually ask her but it was more like Rin forced her help on her. Yeah, that... wasn't the first time something like that happened. Jasmine was fully capable of handling the damn thing on her own but Rin was... helpful. And since she had no idea how DC comics worked or how Harley Quinn was even supposed to look like, the costume ended up having five different reworks before Jasmine told Rin to go sit in the corner as she fixed her costume herself. Uncultured swine. In which case, Jasmine had managed to be only an hour or so late. Her outfit was the usual Harley Quinn outfit, though instead of a fishnet and short-shorts Jasmine chose to wear tight fit blue jeans that were ripped at the knees. Despite her quirk making Jaz a goddamn heater, it was still pretty chilly outside and the girl really didn't want to get sick. Plus she was told to keep a lid on the costume and not make it too slutty. Fair enough. Eventually the elevator door opened and she found herself in Mia's place again, looking around at all the decorations. The skellies from before were amusing, but this place... huh. A welcome change from the mess she'd seen from the pro hero's room before. She glanced at the crowd - beyond Mia, she didn't really know anyone, she didn't think. She hummed to herself... should she swipe a drink or something?

Still addressing the bee lady before her, Mia didn’t wanna seem dismissive or anything to say the least and kept her attention on the woman for a moment longer. Hachi huh? Right, got it. Mia wasn’t the best with names but she’d make the extra effort here since she’d be learning the names of fellow pro heroes. “Right, Hachi. Hachi Hachi Hachi. Got it in my head now. Won’t be forgetting it.” Though despite committing it to memory, the heroine seemed more keen on honorifics. Right that was a thing in Japan wasn’t it? Nnnngh… “Yellow okay? The honorifics thing is still something I’m getting used to, and yellow jacket in full seems a bit of a mouthful for a casual party.” She’d go with whatever Yellow said they were more comfortable with in the end though.
With the honey balls stored away, Mia snickered a little and dusted her hands off from the fact she didn’t clean the high shelf too much in her own time. “Ah you underestimate my sweet tooth. Now go on, go mingle, we got more guest’s comin.~” She gave the bee lady a cheeky pat on the back, maybe aiming a bit lower than she should have…was it sexual harassment if you were tapping someone’s ass’domen? She had no idea, but she quickly pulled back with a “whoops. Bad aim.” And hoped Yellow wouldn’t be upset by the genuine misfire.
Her other guests mostly seemed ready to mingle without much fuss, though she especially was glad Kanna was on the level as far as the alcohol was concerned, meeting that fistbump and sending the girl on her way, keeping an eye on where she was going only to see Junko quickly heading in the same direction, dipping infront of her and holding her large frame in the way of her seeing that Kanna was pouring one of the alcoholic drinks out first before mixing it with her coke. “Heeey! Junko! How goes the teaching and crap?” She was thankful for the big red cape that was on her back, as it helped cover more of the space behind her. Hearing the pouring of drinks stop, she herself quickly brushed off Junko again as she patted her on the shoulder and let her go get her drink. “Ya know that does sound stressful.” She had no idea if it actually did sound stressful. “You totally need to get yourself a drink. Red hoses are the ones givin’ out the booze.”
Pulling back, Mia looked to her own family, skipping back to them and opening her arms. “I know none of us really know anyone here, but thank you guys for comin’. This ain’t some business party I just wanted to get to know the pros and, well, you guys bein’ here means I have someone to fall back on incase they all end up being borin’ nerds.” She hoped none of them heard that, even if she was joking.
“Don’t mention it dear. We know ‘ow much ya love yer Halloween.~” Spoke her dad, the Sully sasquatch, followed by her mother chiming in with. “Oh yes. It wasn’t like we had many other plans. We’re not exactly adapted yet ourselves.”
Mia rubbed the back of her neck with a small smirk. “Heh, thanks again for coming down here with me…didn’t mean to uproot ya or anything? I mean I know Karla, you managed to transfer and be a foreign correspondant for your news network but-“
Mia’s mother quickly interrupted her. “Oh dear stop threating about that! We were glad to come with you. Even Mark likes it more than he’d admit.” The younger of the blonde siblings puffed fire out of his nose, rolled his eyes, and walked away as he sipped his drink. “Honestly, Japan has-“
Enter snakeboy.
“…Its benefits.~”
Mia quirked her brow, wondering why her mother’s tone suddenly shifted and looking back around to the new entrant to the party. Mia’s hand quickly fell into her face as the sound of her father laughing and her sister going ‘ew gross mom’ as she shoved their mother. Mia shot her mom a look as if saying without words ‘No flirting with my co-workers’ before walking over to the snake boy.
“Dude, I gave one rule. No sexy costumes. Ya got my mom going all ‘flirty open marriage’ already and the party’s not even started properly yet.” Despite it words it was clear she was more amused than not, chuckling and lowering her head as she rested her hands on her hips.
“Still though, balls. I assume you have them with that snakey lower half cause ya showed up to your first co-worker party as a hero wearing that of all things…though..” Opening up her cape she gestured over the fact her top was just bandages and her abs were on full display. “Guess I’m not totally hiding myself either. Ah whatever. It’s good to have ya.~” She noticed the parcels he’d brought, looking to them. “You er…got sumthin’ for me?” She assumed he was also doing the whole Japanese presents thing like Yellow jacket, but before she could see the results, the guest she’d been anticipating most walked in, smirking at her costume. “Hold that thought Serperior.”
Skipping over to Jas, Mia opened up her arms and, whether the blonde was gonna complain about it or not, hoisted her up into a squeezing hug before dropping her back to her feet. “If it ain’t my fave little UA tyke! Glad ya could make it. Nice costume too!” Offering a bro-shake / shoulder bump like Kenshin before, Mia was more than welcoming to her self proclaimed little ‘protégé’, not that she was teaching Jaz much, she was just super invested in her future success, lowering her voice to the point even Serperior couldn’t hear. “Booze is in the red hoses, and I got some shit in my closet upstairs if ya need somethin’ stronger. Just don’t let any of the pros see ya mixin’ it in with coke or anythin’ yeah?” She offered Jaz the same fistbump she had Kanna. “Oh, and let Kanna know about the closet if ya see her. Forgot to tell her that’s where I’m hidin’ the good stuff for later.”
Pulling back, she glanced around and returned to a normal tone. “Well anyway! Good to have ya, dunno if minglin’ with your teacher’s is…’fun’, but I’m sure you’ll find a way to have a good time. Hey, got a kid here named Kenshin…he’s in…’our line of work’.” She offered, hoping the implications of Vigilanteism were clear. “May be worth getting’ to know ‘em.”

CAITLYN, ARMY OF ONE ■ 385 WORDS ■ "oh how wonderful!" ■ She might have known the others a little better than he did, but she didn't know them well. Halloween was one of her favorite holidays, and even if she was a mutant, she never simply went as herself. She never took offence to others dressing as spiders, and actually encouraged most to do so. In some cases even spinning real silk to assist them in making it look real and authentic. Tonight was not a night like that. She had stayed behind, running a bit late as she put her costume to good use. Dressing up as a gothic maid, she took to cleaning her house for Cassandra before leaving for the night. As it was late, she tucked them into bed and left with a kiss on their forehead before running out. With food sitting in the stove wrapped in foil to remain warm. If Cassy or Cassandra were hungry, there would be a meal waiting for them. With a smile, she hopped out of her house, messaging a new name that appeared in the chatroom. The both of them had walked to the party, with Caitlyn leading the way there, having known for the most part where it was. ". . . anyways, that's the reason I went with the hero name Army of One." she told him, stepping out of the elevator onto the floor. Walking past the skeletons, she clapped with glee at the sight of the spiders. "Ooh, friends!" she would say, running off towards the decorations. If her friend followed it was up to him. If not, she would spend the next chuck of the party talking to a plastic decoration. From her mouth a tarantula crawled out, only to crawl around her face to sit upon her head as she reached out to touch and pat the little piece of halloween. "Hello friend, are you enjoying the party?" she would say to it, waiting for a reply, only for it to fall silent. "Ah, yes, meeting people is quiet hard. I will stay with you then, so you are not alone, friend!"And so the spider maid, sat with the spider decorations, staring with a smile, her expression rather blank as she watched the other party goers. "Where's Mia?" she asked her friend. but he would not reply.

Akio arrived at the address that ArmyOfOne provided in the chat and was surprised to find out that it was Red Horn's office building So it's Red Horn's party? Hopefully she won't kick me out... Akio thought to himself as he entered the building. ArmyOfOne had told him it was a costume party so Akio had dressed up, he stopped off at a costume store for the last minute costume, just a basic skeleton, generic but still very fitting for Halloween. He entered the party and saw that it was pretty packed, but with his giant height he was able to get a decent look at the partygoers and even saw some people he recognized, most notably was Junko-sensei Junko-sensei was invited? Didn't peg her for the party type, I should say hello to her later he thought to himself as he continued scanning for ArmyOfOne She told me as long as I wasn't scared of spiders I'd be fine..wait, didn't she mention she had a spider quirk? So I just have to look for the spider looking woman and then I'll find her! Akio thought to himself as he scanned the room and found who he was looking for, he walked up to her and greeted her "ArmyOfOne I assume? I'm Paragon but, I guess it's more fitting to call me by my name right now, I'm Akio, it's nice to meet you," he said with a smile as he put his hand out for a handshake, hoping to get on good terms with his fellow associate? employee? Whatever the nature of their relationship in the club, he would be working alongside her so he wanted to be on good terms with her and make a good first impression
