The sky was filled with stars - rare for something like that to occur in a giant metropoly. With music buzzing through his headphones, Saionji walked through the darkest alleys of Tokyo - knowing well a bunch of shortcuts, easy walkarounds, and all of the sorts to get towards his destination. Humming a soft tune without a care in the world, he continued forth towards his apparent destination - the place where he usually hung out at while he was still a part of the daycare. It's been some time now and yet, still, the place reels him back. I mean, where else was he supposed to go? Having left the school grounds where he hasn't made many, if any at all, friends yet, all he could think about was some alone time. He might be a tough guy - and he is, on the outside, but that doesn't change his social nature - which he cannot live because of his lack of those close to him. Surely he would get some friends eventually, right? After all, nobody will blame him for the death of his parents at school - he's a blank card there.
And yet, he didn't care. It would be hard, anyway - making new friends with a personality like Saionji's is just a pain for everyone. And most importantly, were those friends really necessary? He enrolled in Yuuei to become a Pro Hero and fulfill his dad's dream, not to make acquintances.. Various thoughts raced through the boy's mind as he passed through the streets and alleys of the city, going further and deeper into the slums, where not many people would hang out willingly. A quick climb on the light pole, a jump on a garage, then another jump and climb to get on another roof - free-running was the boy's forte, and he loved using the fact to move around quick. And of course, it was pretty fun! I mean, have you tried racing the underground trains? There's a lot of things to do beside just moving about at a faster pace. The troubled mind doesn't notice the simplest things, however - Saionji's hand slipped off of the edge of the roof, and rather than jumping forth, he was now..
Falling. Oh, that's just equisite. But there wouldn't be no fun in the art if there was no risk involved - anyone who has done anything fun in their life knows this! Time as if slows down for the boy, giving him time to look around to where he even was in the first place - noticing that his destination was not yet reached and-- oh right, he's falling. With not much thought whatsoever, the boy utilizes the use of his Quirk to produce flames from the palms of his hands - not a large amount, but enough to propel himself upwards, reducing the damage he would otherwise suffer from the crash landing. Instead, he rolls over the ground and gets up quickly, dusting himself off with a smirk. "Phew, that coulda have ended way worse," He says to no one in particular, content with the result of his action. With a sigh of relief, he puts the headphones that fell out of his ears inside of his pocket.
"You've taken a wrong turn, Quirker.." A voice from behind the Yuuei Student - a duo of middle-aged men, dressed in shagged, old clothes, one bearing a wooden baseball bat. This wasn't a good sight to anybody - but the Nikinawa himself? It wasn't the first time he was attacked in the street - after all, he knows this place like his back pocket - and everything that comes with. Nothing but a shake of the head is offered to the assaulting party, Saionji spreading his arms as if he's waiting to get hit by the bat the other one held. "Ehh? Ya' really don't have anythin' to do anymore, huh? Outta the way, fools!" The boy returned with a wide, teeth-baring smile, almost as if he was enjoying the fact that there was a duo about to gang up on him. There wasn't much going from them from this point - the pair lashed out about those having Quirks being a damage to the society, and all that shmuck - it was common to hear things like this everyday.
And so, they charged forth, one with a weapon in hand, the other with his fists alone. Truth be told, it would be hard to take the two of them without the help of a Quirk, but Saionji wasn't like that. He would never use his power against those who can't even defend himself - and even then, it was simply fun for the boy. The orphan loved fighting, loved competitions - it was all that he enjoyed for a long time. A swing from top to bottom with intent to make the Nikinawa's skull a mush, followed by a punch at the side by the other - the boy quickly, and with expertise, sways to the side, taking cover at the weaponless one's right. That's when a sweeping kick is sent forth, bringing one of the attackers down for a second or two. "Oh, is that all ya' got?! That's hilarious, really!" Saionji teased, provoking another swing with the bat. This was when he ducked under it, grabbed the weapon-bearing enemy by the wrist, twisting it with the intent to disarm! That was, too, a sucessful move. A laugh escapes the Quirker's mouth as a headbutt is send forth, pushing the guy back and making him drop his weapon. The boy picks it up, tossing it in the palm of his hand to memorize it's weight. "Man, step it up a no-" A punch finds home straight at the teenager's jaw, the doing of the one who got up quicker than he should - a cut lip with blood seeping from it slowly emerged after the hit. A couple steps back are taken as it's wiped off with his wrist, then a spit to the side.
"Ya' really DONE it now, ya' know? I'll beat your asses back where they came from!!"

“Look guys I appreciate the attention but I really gotta go.~”
Mia smirked at the kids and young teens gathered around her. While police and other heroes helped to close off sections of a street where a criminal was at large, once the crime had been handled that crowd rapidly was allowed access and pushed forward, surrounding the heroes they had watched like a live show. While some heroes found this bothersome, wanting to continue their work without having to act like a celebrity, Mia revelled in it, a wide grin on her maw the moment the crowd was allowed to come through, surrounding her as she’d just powered through a villain who could summon blades from his body. She still had a few cuts and scrapes from the fight, but her accelerated healing meant they were already scabbing over, and her tough skin meant they were minimal to begin with. While Mia genuinely did love eating up the reaction of a crowd, after a few questions answered and a few autographs signed, Mia had to start backing away.
“Aw Red Horn! You have to go already?” One of the smaller girls piped up. She was specifically wearing a shirt with the sleeves cut off, a common trait of Mia’s own attire and one that made her giggle to see on a young fan, especially a young girl, trying to show off their muscles, or just copying her casual clothes where her hero costume perhaps wasn’t appropriate street attire. Mia crossed her arms over her chest, her hero suit meaning her upper half was just covered by bandages around her chest, and metallic, broken cufflinks around her wrists.
“Sadly I do kid, gotta go save the rest of the world ya know? Can’t stick myself to just one street corner yeah?” She offered a bright smile and crouched down, still not able to meet the girl eye to eye thanks to her own immense size, drawing a card for her offices out of her pocket and offered it across, smiling nice and warm for the kid who took it. “Be my eyes and ears okay? Serious. Big responsibility here.” She offered her hand in a more ‘bro’ ish handshake position. “No calling me to ask how my day is, you see something dangerous, that’s when you give me a call yeah?” The crowd around the girl muttered and whispered in aw, some saying disbelievingly it couldn’t be Redhorn’s number, others just saying the little girl was way too lucky. The girl nodded all the same, about a dozen times, clasping Mia’s hand with the Oni tugging her into a little shoulder bump. “Atta girl. Catch ya around.”
Rising back to her full height, she gave a two fingered salute before turning to rush off, spotting an alleyway behind her and leaping up into it, digging her feet into the wall, using her strength to kick up to the opposite one, and kicking from that back again, basically hop-scotching the walls till she leaped onto the roof at the end of the alleyway.
She was planning to head home, get some lunch maybe before going back out on patrol, maybe call Melanie and see if she had plans that night, but instead, a sound in a nearby alleyway caught her attention. Her eyes narrowed as she leaned over the edge, watching the fight going on. Despite being outnumbered there was a clear winner here and Mia had to give the kid props for his skill…but she really shouldn’t just stand here and watch. Gritting her teeth for a moment, she let out a sigh and threw her head back. She had to guess the fall was…what. 4 floors tops? Yeah she could handle that. Simply hucking herself over the edge, she dropped down into the street, her feet slamming down into the pavement below between the two groups. Still tense from her last fight, her muscles were bulked up to a pretty average level, while her red eyes and sharp tusks somehow felt more prominent in the dark shadow of the alleyway. The titan of a woman rising to her full height, glanced between the two groups, spitting off to the side so hard she actually made the side of a garbage can ding.
“Which of you two wants to explain to me why I don’t kick all your asses and drag you down to the police station for assault?”

A variety of strategies went through the boy's head as crimson liquid continued to seep at his busted lip ever so slowly. Still in his school uniform - with his jacket open, top buttons off of his shirt, and the tie gone(you had to look like a delinquent if you were one, after all), the boy prepared a makeshift stance in order to fend off his attackers once and for all. With his blood pumping adrenaline, and his scowl turning into a wide, teeth-baring grin, Saionji couldn't be more happy. It's here where he felt at home - it's fighting what gave him fun, and what shaped him into the sort of person he is today. After all, the boy fought for his ideals with his fists ever since the awful tragedy that happened at the Nikinawa household. Right now, this wasn't anything different - and while not an exciting fight, it was still fun to beat someone's ass without the use of a Quirk.
"Alright, come at me, maggots!" The boy chanted, waving his hand in order to provoke the duo of Quirk-haters towards him. With a plan set in motion, he moved forward-- that's untill a giant lady dropped from the sky, effectively pushing the whole trio back with the force behind the landing. This was something that he didn't account to - a third party showing up to ruin his day quicker than he thought. A growl escaped the Yuuei Student's lips, and a spit to the side again - blood gathering at his lip constantly was pretty annoying. Scaling the woman up and down, Saionji tried hard to put a name to the Red Horn's face - but he failed in doing so. And that's why his expression shifted into that of a scowl again, his eyebrows furrowing, anger building, lips parting..!!
"I don't know who you are, but you're not jackin' my fight for shit!" The young one says, running around the gargantuan red woman - it was obvious she held a Quirk of her own, too. Swiftly moving in front of her, he noticed that the duo of goons were now targetting her, as well - pretty obvious, given their hate for those who bear a power gained through the Quirk phenomenon. Nonetheless, his fists speak - and he aims to ram both of them into each of his respective foes!.. Seemingly ignoring the Red Horn. It probably wasn't an everyday thing for her, to be ignored, but Saionji most definitely wasn't the one to follow the Heroes' lives - especially since he just basically joined UA. All in all, it seemed as if the boy had fire behind him - every step had an aura of confidence, power - determination. An odd one, that's for sure.

Mia didn’t really know what to expect when interrupting the fight but it certainly wasn’t the boy who’d been on the winning side just disregarding her presence entirely. Now, she wasn’t so vain as to think everyone would recognize her, especially since she wasn’t on the ranking boards yet, but folding her arms she stuck her tongue into her cheek as this runt of a kid (just by comparison at least) Tried to just walk past her like she was nothing, and glancing to the two other punks it was clear they were more than eager to take her on too. Really? You punks couldn’t even beat this dude who didn’t seem to even be using a quirk as far as Mia could tell, and you wanted to go against the nearly 7ft horned bitch who could skewer you with a headbutt? Yeah, really big brains on you guys.
“Jackin’ your fight?” Mia quirked her brow, folding her arms tight as she watched him move with such determination. A part of her still told her she should stop this, but now the proportions were reversed. Mia was always a lover of a good fight herself, and if anyone stole her chance to have a good one from her, she wouldn’t be happy. Assuming this kid was a similar soul in nature, Mia watched him move forward to the punks with clear determination, and took a step back. “Hey, you really wanna battle against the odds, I’d be a hypocrite to stop you.~” She offered a cheeky smirk, opening her arms with the genuine gesture of letting him fight his own battles, especially given her own nature in battle herself. She did however add. “Just to be clear though, if they start beating yo ass, or you beat theirs a little too hard, I’m kinda obligated as a hero to step in here.~”

Huh. This was something that surprised him - but it would be a lie to say that he wasn't happy that he was given a nod and that the other Quirk-bearing one didn't step up. With his knuckles cracked, the boy's fists make their way towards each respective, xenophobic face, bringing both the attackers into the ground for the time being. Quickly, they got up - as much as the boy knew how to fight, fighting adults wasn't as easy as fighting those his age and size with just his fists. Nonetheless, excitement was building up! The boy's citrine eyes shined even, and his smirk widened even more as blood showed up on his knuckles - not his, this time. "C'mon, you two dumbasses! You wanna keep tellin' me you hate those with Quirks, so I'll beat you without that shit!!" Saionji continues to yell with excitement continiously building up. Oh man, he was feeling it - he was always feeling good when fights were around, and especially those that he was winning.
He doesn't look towards the Red Horn, but his lips part to offer her a fiery response in return, "Nobody's goin' to beat my ass!!" He assured, before ducking under the swing of a bat once again. A spin on his heel with his foot stretched forth and the weapon-bearing enemy goes down again, for a little longer than before this time, evidently having hit his head against the hard pavement, leaving vission blurry and all that comes with. With his grin and blood still seeping from the lip, Saionji walks up towards the weaponless attacker, awaiting for his move. As he charged forth, a grab at the wrist, then a knee.. to the crotch. This one must have felt excruciating pain for sure. Dropping down to the ground with his hands holding his gems, he fell and laid in pain while the Nikinawa walked up towards the one that he only sweeped to the ground. A foot is put on the guy's back, bringing him down to the ground with a mischevious smile. "Eh?! So what was it goin' to be 'bout Quirks again, eh?!" The Yuuei student brings his foot down a little, before looking over towards the Red Horn again,
"Tch, ya' ain't need to help or anythin'. Coulda just walked home, ya' know?" He tells her, unsure of what to do with the guys now that they're all beat and all that. It's now that he has the time to inspect who stopped him from beating the wrongdoers ass in the first place - she was big, with a giant horn, and all that.. to be honest, it kind of spooked him. Saionji was just a tiny little bit scared of strong women. For one reason or another, they made him uneasy - more than frightened or anything. "And who're ya', anyway?"

Mia smirked as she watched the boy move forward, not one to interfere in another’s fight if she truly wasn’t wanted. She leant her side on the rough wall of the alleyway, her tough skin easily standing up against the rough old bricks of the building beside her. He definitely seemed to have some training behind him, taking down the punks with relative ease. Mia was borderline impressed…or she would have been if it wasn’t for that line about proving them wrong. Mia got the sentiment behind it, wanting to prove you were better than someone without using the thing they were hating on you for, but in Mia’s eyes using your quirk to trump them was a sign of pride for her. She’d get picked on a lot for her horn when she was young, but she supposed she didn’t really have a choice when it came to using her quirk. Her immense strength even at a young age was just a part of who she was and she didn’t really get a say in whether she used it or not. Maybe this was the better way, proving you were better without your unique traits but…for Mia she’d just wanna shove that in their face and yell ‘who’s laughing now’.
once the fight was over, she shifted her arms and moved off the wall, her eyes looking up and down the boy, wondering what kinda quirk he must have to have earned the ire of those punks without them having the fear of god already thrown into them. His attitude could use some work, and without pause she strided up towards him, reaching across and flicking his forehead with enough force to lightly knock him off balance. “Respect your elders punk. Name’s red horn, Pro-hero. Think both of those would be obvious given the-“ She pointed a thumb up towards her big red horn.
“How about you? Not every kid can beat the crap out of punks as good as you just did…” She looked past him to the whining bodies on the floor, rolling her eyes as she just wanted them to shut up, arms folded tight across her chest as she shifted her focus back to the boy. “I’ve seen kids fight like you before, but all 3 of ‘em went to UA. No chance a quirker like you fits the bill huh?” She gave a cheeky smirk as she felt she was right on the money.

"Hey, tha' fuck was that fo', eh?! You want a piece of me, too?!" The delinquent growls, moving back a small distance from a simple flick. Oh, so that's what it was - the woman was a Pro-Hero! He should have probably known, but truth be told, he doesn't have a very good memory for faces, no matter how notable they might be. The name Red Horn did ring a bell though, and now that she mentions it, it really should be obvious. But Saionji didn't spend much time on thinking about such.. little things. Maybe little really isn't the right word. And hey, she just hit him! That deserves some more growling. "Tch', I'll respect my elders when they do somethin' to earn it, ya' dig?" He says in response, dusting himself off.
Blood was still seeping from his busted lip, and that deserved some treatment - and thus, the boy wiped it away with his hand, then into one of the attacker's clothes. That was treatment enough, right? A fiery gaze return to the Red Horn, and with his arms crossed over his chest, the boy's lips part to speak. "Name's Saionji Nikinawa, ya' betta' remember that shit." He nods, spitting to the side. He didn't have his uniform on today - only a black hoodie, black pants, and a pair of sneakers this time around - so his affiliation wasn't exactly obvious. That's why the question comes, and a smirk that's so sure right after it - and he could do nothing else but confirm. "Yea'. I'm in Class 1-B. How'd ya' tell?" An inquiry - he was actually curious as to how she'd figure it out so quickly.
A professional hero, huh. That was something he didn't really experience outside school before - at least not for more than a couple of minutes. Meeting face to face with one wasn't something that made him uneasy or overly excited, but it still was an interesting sight nonetheless. "Besides me beatin' these guys up. That's what I've been doin' all my life, ya' know? Beatin' shit up." Surely, this is not how someone in the presence of a Hero should act. There was something different about him- but was it a good thing? There really was no telling. All that could be told however - that the Nikinawa most certainly wasn't a typical hero trainee.

Oh okay punk you wanted to test your luck here? She may not have known what his quirk was but she was pretty sure she could take him, and as a display of such confident, Mia folded her arms tighter and scowled down at him as her muscles tensed, bulking up just a little further than she already was and seeming even more imposing over the boy before her. If he was scared of strong women it was easy enough to assume he should be metaphorically terrified as her tusks grew up over her top lip and imposed her monstrous quirk in his presence. As far as earning his respect, she prodded his forehead with two fingers. “I’ve saved 3 lives just this week and 2 corner stores from losing all their money. The fuck have you done runt?”
Maybe Mia shouldn’t be allowed to talk to a kid who was as arrogant as this. Lucky for her she was in an alleyway with him so it wasn’t like anyone could record this, but still, she was far too ego-centric and prideful to accept back talk from a comparatively little twerp like him. She gave him some respect for being such a good fighter, but she wasn’t about to take lip from him either.
“I should remember your name? Try graduating first, then I’ll bother.” She snorted derisively at his cheek, briefly wondering if this was how she came across…but no. She couldn’t see herself being this arrogant. Her eyes narrowed and she smirked as he confirmed her assumptions. “Oooh B huh? No wonder you’re so arrogant. I hear you guys get brushed over a lot.” It was just a rumor floating about from the few conversations she could have with the kids she knew in class 1 A, but as far as she was aware, 1 A had the cream of the crop, C was full of delinquents, and B…had nothing special going on. Not yet at least.
“As to how I figured it out, you got skill even without using a quirk. You’re clearly strong. Only kids I know who train that much around here are the kids from UA. You’re either all skill and no strength like fucks who practice at martial arts clubs, or all strength and no skill, like the dipshits eating he dirt right now, so it was pretty easy to pick you out, especially since they, and you, made it clear you got a quirk…” She shifted her stance a little, easing up her own arrogance in the face of his and letting out a slow breath through her nose, gesturing to him and tipping her head up. “So what did they see ya doing? You’re in an alleyway so…something to do with shadows? Think Jasmine mentioned something about a dipshit in 1 C who could do that, but I’m gonna guess powers like that ain’t too common, so I doubt there’s two shadow users in the same school. What’s your shtick then?”

Oh, he sure as hell wanted to test his luck. No matter the opponent, no matter the odds, Saionji breathed and lived competition. Maybe this was what he really should have told Emi at the cafeteria when she asked him about his passion - but maybe it is that the boy doesn't even realize his competitive nature himself. In fact, that was one hundred percent the case here. Her flex and all that did put him uneasy for some time, but he managed to swing that feeling away as his fire for competition and the like burnt stronger. He was going to flex too - he could, after all. He obviously realized that having to fight a Pro-Hero would not only be stupid, but probably undoable, yet conversations followed, which Saionji was happy to bark back at, tease, and the like.
"That's what ya' do as a hero, eh? Ya' save lives. Good for ya'!" He responds in order to her first sentence, crossing his arms over his chest with his optics focused on the garguantuan woman. The young delinquent has only joined Yuuei and thus, knew nothing about how the classes were talked about. Still, it doesn't stop him from opening his mouth to defend himself. "I didn't kno' my class is full of useless fools, as I just joined Yuuei - but if tha's tha' case, then I'll simply carry it on my back and show everyone that I'M the best, yeah?!" A loud response in Mia's direction - the boy's features tense up and still, his confident smirk on his face stays - perhaps it's one that never fades away.
As for the quirk question, he didn't see the need to not answer that one. He was pretty happy to share info about his quirk with people - especially those who could help him score potential jobs in the future. "Mine's a pretty simple concept. I can basically do, uh.. anythin' with fire, really." He raises his hands, allowing flames to dance at his digits in a show of light. Soon after, fire shoots out from his palms and into the air, lighting up the sky for just a minute. After that's done, he doesn't care to show much of anything else - allowing the fire to dance around his entire body before seemingly just disappearing. "I can do pretty cool stuff with it, ya' know? I think it's handy." He tells the woman, nodding his head twice.

With the snappy wording of his first response Mia couldn’t tell if he was just being genuine and still had too much adrenaline in his system or if he needed another thwack to the head for treating saving lives with an almost sarcastic snap to his words. She’d assume the former was what he was going for as he did seem to be calming down just a little, bit by bit as they started to talk. “Heh, didn’t mean to say your useless, is more…nothing? Like that’s literally it. 1 B might be like that good resteraunt on the corner of some un-important street. It’s nice, people go there, it makes good food, but its nothing you write home about.” She kept the analogy going as best she could. “Way I hear it is 1 C is that seedy resteraunt ya don’t go to unless yaw anna get in trouble, 1 A is that glamorous buffet you have your party at, and 1 B is just that family resteraunt ya go to for a bite at lunch. Nothing special about it, but also nothing bad about it either.”
She snickered a little as he emphasized needing to be the best, planting a hand on his head and ruffling his hair. “Well, ya got competition kid, even if it ain’t in your own class.” She stuck a thumb to her chest as she had a wide smirk on her lips. “I got a few kids in that school I’m keepin’ my eye on, so I can tell ya, the competition you got to work with is already pretty intense, but…” She paused, crossing her arms again and smirking down at him. “Ya definitely got the bite to make it. Maybe I should start keepin’ an eye on you too. See if you can learn some manners on your way to the top eh?~”
As the kid displayed his quirk, Mia watched it with some interests. Fire quirks seemed weirdly common, but this one seemed at least a cut above. She shifted aside without flinching as he shot fire into the air, half expecting it to come down, knowing some fire quirks could be fuelled by a physical oily core that could potentially drop back down into their little alleyway. Her eyes shifted back to him soon enough, offering him a smile. “Seems so, definitely a quirk I gotta keep my eye on. You able to control it at a distance or just like, while it’s touchin’ ya?”

The boy watches an array of fire die once the first part of showcasing his quirk was done, eyes snapping back to the Red Horn as he rolls his neck. Saionji did start calming down indeed - with his adrenaline dropping, the fiery boy wasn't as lit as he was a couple seconds ago. So he's in a class full of people that are.. nothing? Not a good start of his heroic career, but his lips part to snap back with a response to the gargantuan woman, "Well, if my class is the average restaurant out of the three, then I'll be the finest fuckin' dish that makes everyone come. I could care less about tha' rest of the class." He selfishly states, but his words were true - it was him that was going to shine the most, or so he believed. While others sure might be valuable and necessary, there was always only one winner, and it was going to be him. There was no way he'd be second place.
When his hair was ruffled, the boy almost froze in place. Being touched by others is something he doesn't particularly enjoy, but at the same time, he hardly experienced. After all, his life was most definitely one you would describe as 'tough'. Even though, he moved his head away after a second or two with a growl, not wanting to be treated like a child-- that he, undebatably, still is. "I don't need to learn no manners. And if ya' wanna see someone climb his way to tha' top, then ya' sure as hell should be watchin' me." He tells Mia in response, nodding his head with a confident smirk. He sure as hell was one full of himself kid, but at least he was able to back it up - for the most part.
"They have to start from me, yea'. But as long as they my flames, I can do pretty much anythin' with them. Watch this." An array of sparks form at his palm and then, a ball of fire - nothing special at first. The flames seem to knead and change shape however, into that of a flaming dagger - entirely made of flame. It's pure red almost, as if condensed flame, and then.. he throws it towards the ground. The blade enters the earth like butter, with a scorching and hissing sound to accompany it all the while. "I can also make 'em shits solid. Neat, huh?"

Mia snickered a little as, despite her analogy, the boy was clearly showing determination despite the comparisons of his class, but hey if he wanted to be the finest dish of an average resteraunt, the tasty cheesecake that kept someone coming back to an only half decent café, she wasn’t about to put him down on the matter. Heck if anything she had some radiated pride from the kid, reminding her a bit of herself when she was a similar age. Though she’d kinda dropped out of school by then to focus on the vigilante work. “Well good luck to ya there kid. A whole school of super powered kids? You’re gonna need luck if half of them are as good as the ones I’ve been seein’~”
“Uh huh. Yeah. Sure. Even I had to learn some manners kid. Comes with the territory.” She gave a light tap of her knuckles against this forehead. “The thing is, ya should only be talkin’ shit infront of the people you know you can put up against if ya need to. Heck, it’s why I talk shit to everyone these days, and why a runt like you ain’t got no business trying to be all macho in the presence of me.” She knocked his forehead again, but the cheekiness of her smirk showed she had more respect for him at this point than her teasing words alone might indicate. “As far as watchin’ ya goes….eh. Maybe. Ya got some strong competition in that school, but I ain’t about to
Stepping back, she’d watch his little light show, eyes widening a little, clapping along as she was definitely impressed by the weirdly solid looking dagger, like the flame almost seemed to condense itself into something that could actually hold some weight. “Damn kid, I really should be keepin’ an eye on you. How you pull that off? Or ain’t you figured out how your quirk does that yet? I ain’t one to talke of course, all I need to know about my quirk is it lets me punch shit better!~”
That was pretty much the case with her own quirk. As much as she loved her mutation she could admit, as far as quirks went, it was basic ass shit. She had a small healing factor, strength, and durability. The rest of it was down to her own hard training and work to keep up.

Saionji couldn't help but to smirk, baring his teeth as the showcase of his Quirk's second ability made Mia surprised and curious about his ability. Lips part and words roll off the tounge in order to respond, "I control tha' heat in my body creatin' fire, then I control said fire. I can even control it up to the point of making condensed fire object like that. I ain't sure how it works physically, I ain't that smart. Prolly got somethin' to do with condesin' shit." He really wasn't that good when it came to physics, and he sure as hell didn't care how his Quirk did stuff as long as he knew how to do said stuff. A growl is out the moment he's flicked at the forehead again, and a scowl with an embarassed and angry look to the side, "Stop touchin' me, too. Ya' way too old." He jokes, biting back all the while. It seems as if this one's Quirk truly complimented his personality - he was a fiery one indeed, hard to harness and control. "And I guess punchin' shit better is useful, too. I already know how to fight, so if I could fight with some great strength, that would be easy, fo' sure. But anyway.." He tells Mia in regards to her Quirk, and then quickly switches to another topic. Only now slowly realizing that's he's not only talking with, but being praised by, a pro-hero. It wasn't that he was getting excited or anything of the sort, he would never look stupid like that, no - he thought about asking a few questions in order to better himself and his heroics. Scratching at the back of his head, he opens his mouth to speak once more. "Yo', so you're a pro-hero and shit, huh?" A dumb opener, but it gets the job done. "What sorta advice ya' got fo' me? It ain't like I need it or anythin', I'm just.. curious as to what experienced ones got ta' say. y'know?" He tells the Red Horn, smiling teasingly all the while. "And ya' need to know one thing. Strong competition or not, luck isn't what ya' need in order to be the best. To be honest, if I got to a numba' one spot through bein' lucky, then I would never be the number one, y'know? Ya' need to do it with your own strength, not luck, that's when ya' really done it." He tells the other his view on the matter, nodding all the while. An interesting fellow, he was, and even more of an interesting hero was the Red Horn. It seemed as if the duo had some similiarities when it came to personality and the sort, so Saionji didn't mind opening up a little to the woman.

Mia listened carefully as he explained his quirk. God she didn’t understand any of it really beyond a sort of metaphorical level, but heck did she listen all the same. She loved how unique and diverse quirks could make people. Even if her own was pretty basic when ya got down to it, other quirks held the utmost respect in her eyes, and if she ever saw someone down about their own quirk, it instantly became her mission to show them the value of their unique genetic talents. Of course, it in no way looked like this kid needed it. If Jaz as a student was the old vigilante, brawler, kick ass take no names mentality of the blonde, in this kid before her Mia was seeing her cockiness, her ego, and her self generating hype machine that seemed to be embedded in the core of her personality. “You can make yourself so hot you’re creatin’ fire huh? Well ain’t that impressive. No idea how the fuck you control it after that, but I guess a lot of things are happenin’ these days that people ain’t gonna explain so easy. Heck I bet some scientists would have a fucking fit if they tried to explain how I can rapidly generate, and reduce, my own muscle mass just from how angry I get!” She snickred a little, recalling a memory of a flustered doctor trying to explain to Mia’s parents when she was a kid why she suddenly had a 6 pack at age 11.
With the tease to back off, Mia pulled away with a cheeky smirk and held her hands up. She didn’t take his words seriously at all, but at the same time with her recent run in with a girl going by the name ‘Elise’, it was probably best she not touch any kids beyond what they seemed comfortable with. (Before anyone gets freaked out Elise’s quirk made her lose her own clothes and Mia helped her find some. Nothing TOO weird.) “Fine fine. If you don’t want all this woman touchin’ up the big strong up and comer I ain’t gonna complain. Ya ain’t exactly my type anyhow.~”
Teasing him back easily enough, she lowered her arms and relaxed, glad to notice that he was opening up a bit more himself and listening to his words. He already knew how to fight huh? That was certainly good. Could always use that when training to be a hero of all things. “Well good to hear you’re already on the right path. The future of hero work might actually be in some decent hands if I ever plan to aim for an early retirement.~” She stuck out her tongue between her tusks as she smirked. “Far as advice goes…” She reached her hand back, rubbing the back of her neck. Despite her experience as a vigilante, everything she’d learned she developed as second nature before even becoming a hero…so…
“OH hell nah.” She agreed before offering her advice. “Fuck luck. It helps, do not get me wrong, but if you’ve really got your eye on the prize, the world can throw EVERY ounce of shit your way and you’re still gonna climb that ladder all the way to the top. Don’t ever go thinkin’ luck has any part to play in your destiny, cause if you truly want something, more than anyone else? That shit is gonna be yours no matter what they say.” She offered a strong smile at that, definitely confident in the words she spoke. “As far as advice goes…I say ya gotta make sure as much as you wanna be number one, ya gotta remember one thing. You’re a hero now. You ain’t the best because you beat up the most criminals, or save the most people, though those are certainly important…” She clenched her fist infront of herself, her hand almost clapping on it’s own from the air caught in her fingers from how tight she clenched her fist.
“Ya gotta inspire people. Being a cocky shit is all well and good, but if everyone who sees you is just as scared of your attitude as they are of the villains, ya ain’t gonna be the best hero around…so just temper yourself. That’s a lesson I’m still learning, but I think I’m doing okay these days…sound advice for ya kid?”
