PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ Brave ✔ Ambitious ✔ Forgiving ✔ Quick-thinking ✔ Caring NEGATIVE ✖ Bad-tempered ✖ Rivalrous ✖ Arrogant ✖ Loud ✖ Prideful LIKES ✔ food with noodles ✔ free-running ✔ ✔ competitions ✔ talking DISLIKES ✖ being bossed around ✖ losing ✖ nerds ✖ salads ✖ cats PERSONALITY While his looks most certainly wouldn't agree, Saionji is not your typical delinquent. While he does, in fact, possess qualities such as being obnoxiously loud, headstrong, arrogant and short-tempered, the boy values his friends and those close to him above all else. His will to protect his friends and family so strong that his body moves on it's own in order to shield them from danger. And still, he's the first to pick a fight with someone that disagrees with his point of view, and he's the first one to throw an insult at someone he doesn't like. While heroism isn't exactly what describes him, Saionji still does hold qualities to become a hero. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.76m WEIGHT: 71kg HAIR/STYLE: Jet black, cut short and orderly. SKIN/SCARS: Fair skin - a scar from a stab wound at the palm of his left hand. EYES: Citrine. NOTABLES: Often covered with bandages at his arms, band-aids and the sort. Saionji doesn't seem like the type of person you would normally approach. With some sort of bruise hanging there and there, bandage-wrapped wrists and palms, he looks like a typical Banchō. His voice is harsh and he's often loud, even though he doesn't particulary recognize it himself. His citrine eyes practically glow in the dark - the most prominent feature of his. His face often some sort of scowl, and his school uniform, while probably worn, always unbuttoned and made to look as cool as possible. |
❛❛What's the point in being number two?❜❜ |
HISTORY Saionji lived on the suburbs of Tokyo with his family - mother, father, and a younger sister and seemingly led a happy life. Both of his parent were Quirkers, and thus, the boy was raised in a home where Quirks were more of a blessing rather than a curse. His father was a police man, and one that, with the sudden jump in crime, decided to leave the force and use his quirk in order to save those who required saving with the use of his power. This lifestyle not only brought income for the Nikinawa family, but recognition in the criminal world. It was only Saionji's fifth birthday when his door was blown off by a group of villains that entered his house uninvited in the middle of the night, with the sole purpose of striking down his father. A fight broke out, resulting in the loss of the young one's father. It wasn't just any loss, however - both him and his wife dropped to the ground in a lifeless state. The state of grief and agony the two young siblings felt from such a sight was incomparable to anything else. And that's when something sparked within the oldest of the Nikinawa siblings. In a shriek and an attempt to scare the criminals away, the boy's Quirk awakened, resulting in a fiery explosion that damaged everyone and everything but his own self and his sister. While this allowed for the villains to retreat, the facts were gruesome - the two children were now orphans. Both of them were rushed to the hospital, where they both got treated and brought back to stability. While it was obvious and apparent that villains broke into the Nikinawa household that night, the death of his parents - some linked the happening to the boy's Quirk activating, labeling him the killer of his parents. This was disclosed information however, and didn't make the news or anything of the sort. So what were they to do now? A duo of orphans with nowhere to go and only bad luck on their side were found by a man who was quite eager to adopt the two into his daycare, where seemingly other, Quirk-bearing, orphan children lived. What seemed like a blessing was truly a curse for Saionji. While the man who's took them in believed otherwise, the children of the home labeled the boy a parent killer as well. With no way of fighting against such allegations, the child gained his respect by pushing people around. Getting into a fights on a daily basis was his forte - and hanging out with the wrong crowd became an everyday thing to do. Street fights, and taking care of things by force became his usual routine. However, the boy never used his Quirk - with both respect for the rules and law, as well as fear. And yet, the boy never hurt those who were innocent. Those catching beatings always, in his eyes, deserved them. At one point, he thought about doing what his father had done before - but that thought was quickly scratched so that no one would hurt his sister, and most importantly, his daycare. His sibling eventually got adopted and flied off to the United States, where she could live a safer life. Saionji wasn't one to stop her - after all, he wanted his family to be as safe as possible, so that he could avoid whatever happened to him and his parents - he never wanted to see people close to him hurt again. The life of a delinquent continued, earning his respect within "friends" and whatnot through force - but it all changed when the boy became sixteen, and a certain law regulation came to light. The U.A. was looking for people wanting to become heroes - and with sister far away and nearing the age of leaving the daycare, that was what the boy wanted to do. While he doesn't emanate heroism, the young one once again had the desire to follow his father's footsteps - or rather, finish what his parent started in the first place. Besides, the Villain group who attacked his household was still on the lose - the positives for joining the academy greatly outshined the negatives. And thus, the road to heroics continues - with nothing but grief behind, Saionji wants to make sure people never suffer just as he did, never again. |
