G couldnt believe this work, he actually had the fabled Kent Effect?? The fabled effect where people couldnt recognize you even though the only thing on your head or face was a pair of glasses. His happiness was unmeasured and only topped when he got to kiss Hana just outside the building
Hana's soft moan was the best reward he could hope for. He felt like a superhero movie protagonist. Where the main caracter would rescue the damsel and have the most epic and romantic kiss ever. Now it was only the time for the most romantic one liner ever

No that wasnt it. Wait... whose voice was that!?
G looked up from Hana's eyes and saw some people, probably Hana's Boss and her coworkers. He should probably let her go, but he decided, screw it. Im keeping her.
As soon as her Boss started talking to her, G immediatelly cut him off and yelled at him
"ARE YOU INSANE!??! YOU'RE WORKING HER TO DEATH!! LITERALLY!!! YOU'RE LUCKY SHE DONT SUE YOU!!! THIS WOMAN IS AN ANGEL AND YOU'RE GONNA GIVE HER DAYS OFF!!! UNDERSTOOD!?!?"
G was mad. She had to work and be put in dangerous situations for some lame payment? Well, not anymore. She needs a reward. Day off, AT LEAST. Not to mention, he ruined the perfect romantic one liner he had

 at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The sound of her name Mizuki was ringing in her ears and even though she was looking at her boss, strolling over her with a very assured step, she was not very sure what was happening. There was this state of panic, satisfaction and horror going on in her mind, swirling around without properly setting on one mood. They... she and Gil, no Gil... he kissed her, in front of the building and now she noticed her colleagues, whispering... she felt the buzz of her white phone, from within her bag which was plastered in a matter of speech against her right side, between her and G but, that must mean that he felt it too but perhaps he did not know what it was and... gah! Oh but, damn, that, no, she shouldn't, no wait, what, that's when she opened her mouth to ask her boss to repeat that what he was saying because she actually had no idea what he said at all. When she heard Gil talk, not even waiting for her boss to be done talking and the pink blush on her cheek, her cheeks became crimson red. She never thought she could sue him, would she be able to make a shitty post about him in the magazine, he, unfortunately, knew that she was Lady Scandal. She bet her colleagues were now texting her, perhaps they were looking around for someone to react to the possible pictures and pieces of text. She was very curious but also very afraid, she could not ignore it, because then they would know it was her. Right, connecting the dots? But the thing he said, she bet there would be like short clips in her mailbox with this, oh the messages, and probably other messages from other things happening at the same time. She wanted to cry, but it was the shock still, she was sure of that, she was no cry baby. Most surprising was that her boss nodded and seemed to agree. "Y-yes of course." the man said, apparently a bit impressed it not very by G and not daring to say anything else. "You-you should rest, Mizuki and get well soon." She stared at him before looking back at Gil and she patted him softly to make him look at her, "I want to go home." She actually wanted to be let go but also not, she felt vulnerable for a society that she had said up herself. She would let it depend on him and as they got a little away from the group of her coworkers, Either she would walk or she would still be carried but she would tiptoe or just lift herself up to give him a kiss on the cheek. "You are my hero." ~If you could have literally had someone blow off steam by being embarrassed by her actions yesterday, that would be Hanako in the cab, her cheeks could not stop burning and she had to get them back to normal as in about five minutes the taxi would arrive at where they would pick up Gil and she fiddled with her hair and moved from left to right on the bench to see if she could see him. A resort! With only him! Whose stupid idea was this, why did he kiss her yesterday? Was it just a capture the moment thing? Capture how he was the hero at that moment and she would be the damsel that needed that moment. She was.. she stared at her phone as she was writing the Scandal part: Lois Lane. She bit her lip as the kiss had definitely derailed her thoughts. She was sure now that it was no longer an issue of childhood fantasies, how could she have not noticed this last year that she really, really liked him and that made things a lot worse. How she had picked up another bathing suit, just yesterday night to make sure she looked good even if she had a big graze on her left ribcage. Mission Success, the boss man let Hana have a well deserved break. The fools stuttering words were music to G's ears. Hana then patted him softly so he would look at her. Which he did, thus the two looked at each others eyes. Hana said that she wanted to go home
"I'll take you there" G said as he carried her away. He just wanted to hold her close to him. And she did not say anything about letting go. So he carried her away
~Present Day~
G was waiting for Hana and the cab. Thinking about yesterday made him a bit salty he couldnt deliver he badass adn romantic one liner, he had everything set up, its like the stars aligned and he wanted to use that moment. He beat gorilla man, saved the damsel, got past the police and carried out the damsel out of the building outside holding her bridal style. He just MISSED the one liner. G shook his head in disappointment when he failed that. So he took off his sunglasses off his head and got a good look at them. Yeah, the frame of the glasses was a bit broken and bent on one side. But they still looked cool
"Maybe one day I'll fix em" G thought to himself
He put the glasses back on his head and looked at his wristwatch. He hoped nothin bad happened to her, he was eager to go to a resort with her, but that didnt mean she had to rush and put herself in danger

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away They were not there yet, she had miscalculated with the busy streets of Tokyo with how long it would take before they could pick up G and how long it perhaps would take to arrive at the resort. She clenched and unclenched her hand as she looked from the front window back to her phone. She could finish this if she typed quickly and send it to the editor so they would not have issues, her boss had not texted nor called her but she was sure that they needed a new column for next week and she wasn't entirely sure what else they would do on the Scandal Part, her own blog told the news that she had been in an accident and she was having a couple of days off, she would tell her dear readers later what she was doing and how that had been. She was very curious if the messages that she got now, which wished her simply to rest and thanked her for the blogs mostly, some rare was a hate thing but she ignored that as usual, she wondered if they would send more after she finished this one for Lady Scandal. "I am sorry." She muttered at her screen, which made the taxi driver look up but she waved it away said she was accidentally talking out loud to her phone. What must that guy think of her! Just when the taxi stopped and she looked outside to see Gil, she quickly sent it to the editor with a strange scribble that she hoped this was what everyone was waiting on and if the pictures could be more zoomed in. Lady Scandal never send it through an email or anything so this was per usual, she quickly pushed the white phone in her bag and would switch it off after she got the okay. She wanted to open the door to talk to him but the driver was already talking, she did not hear exactly what he said but she opened the door nonetheless. It immediately felt strange to be around him. She had... no he had kissed her in public yesterday and she still did not know why but her heart started beating a little faster and she felt a rush of colour reach her cheeks. "Goodmorning." She smiled and it would be okay, even with the strange kiss and the fact that she called him her hero, she would know how to behave. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

G looked at the streets and noticed there was a bit of traffic going, which made him shake his head. He tried to think of something else. First thing that came to mind was food. He was in the mood to get some stuff from Benny's. Some good food. But he realized thinking about food would just make him hungrier. So he distracted himself more and checked out his Facespace profile on his phone. He then started randomly surfing his phone while he waited for Hana and the slow ass cab.
Eventually, the damn vehicle appeared. He had a few words with the driver and was mildly annoyed. His day immediately got better though when he saw Hana open the door of the car and approach him to wish him a simple, but sweet good morning. G smiled
"Good mornin, Hana" G said with a smile on his face
He then noticed Hana blush a lil.
"Was it because of the kiss? Maybe I got a lil carried away" G thought to himself as he himself blushed a bit
"Lets go now" he said as he kept the door open for her, so she could enter the cab like a lady

She opened her mouth to say anything but felt very far too embarrassed as she looked at how he smiled and greeted her back. So she quickly looked at the driver who had closed the trunk already and went to walk around the car to step in again. When she looked back at Gil, it seemed like he was blushing! No way! Oh oh no, oh perhaps she had written the article too critical, what if he read it, when would they publish it? In three days, alright, that was okay, he would never know, who read the metropolitan anyway! She turned to look at the door and nodded and went to sit in it again and scooted to the other side to be able to let him in as well. Even if she felt strange and embarrassed, she was surely excited to go. But how would you say that? Would she confirm that he yelled at her boss yesterday, saying that she liked having these few days off, did she say that he looked good because he obviously did, what do you say at a moment like this? She never experienced the idea of lack of words and that only made it more awkward. She had given the taxi driver the address already, so when the two of them sat in the back of the car, the man went to drive, it seemed that the traffic was still going on the same way and it might take the same amount of time to go towards the outskirts where this famous resort was. She was at least excited and looked outside for a second, realizing she still had not said anything apart from good morning. "Are you excited?" What a question, she would smack herself in the face if she could but that meant she would lose face, so she did not. "I mean I am, great to have days off." Unconsciously she lifted up her left hand to touch the part where the gaze was, beneath her blouse that is, it hurt but the way she spoke to him, hurt herself even more. MADE BY VEL OF GS |

G may not have the best manners, but he knew when to be a gentleman when it comes to how to treat a lady. He let Hana enter the car first and then right after her, he got in and closed the door. The taxi apparently knew where to go as no one needed to give him instructions. And so they drove off into the metaphorical sunset.
For a while as they drove, the two were silent. G was mostly silent because he did not know what to talk about. Hana spoke tho and asked if he was excited. You bet he was. But it appeared that Hana went on to correct herself for some reason and state that she is excited. Actually, he finally figured out whats wrong with her. The blushing, the silence, the awkward 'correction'. She was stiff... tense. She needed to relax. And so G being the smartest guy ever, had the most brilliant idea ever. Grabbing Hana, pulling her close to him. Specifically pulling her to sit on his lap. He looked her in the eyes and said
"You bet Im excited~" he said trying to sound as smooth as possible. And then he relaxed his tone of voice and said super chill "Relax Hana, we're driving to a vacation, not a battle field. Its gonna be so much fun!"
Clumsy as she was, Hana still pulled off a good ice breaker and a conversation starter

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She wanted to be there, have a bit more space, it was not exactly that Hanako minded being near Gil, absolutely not, it was just that her thoughts couldn't form anything to say, should they talk about what they wanted to do first after they arrived? Would she have to say anything more about what a resort was or what she expected from it? She had looked at the website multiple times before she booked. As she looked outside again, not sure where to start, as she had just said something dumb, even correcting herself, she let out a soft yelp as, well she knew vaguely that she was safe but how the hell... Did he manage this, she looked surprised, blinked and turned to, man that was close now. Her blue eyes lingered on his lips before she looked him in the eye and to do something pushed her glasses back up on her nose. She tried to be more relaxed now, his comment struck her as funny anyway, "You don't win battles with me." So it was good that they were going towards a battlefield. She did not know entirely what to do, it did not sit entirely uncomfortable, it was good to be small so she wouldn't bump her head to the roof of the cab, but she did not dare to lean in.The moment she thought she was okay to relax about this thing her brain asked her the question to why he was doing this. Her heart skipped a beat and she looked from her pencil skirt, she was checking if it still sat correctly, back up to Gil his eyes, yes, why was he doing this? Could it be? No, stupid thoughts. No matter how awkward her brain made the taxi drive, they would eventually end up at the resort. She got out first and as she had booked the taxi through an app, it would automatically go and be paid by her credit card. So she did not need to obviously pay now, she took her trolley from him and waited for Gil to walk towards the entrance. It was a luxury, something she wanted and she eyed her friend, hoping he wouldn't mind at all either. Everything was already paid for, so they had to have no worries about it, and she hoped he surely did not, she just wanted to relax... the tw-two of them. Even her brains were already hackling in words! She walked towards the reception and looked at the girl behind it, the damn young thing looked pretty relaxed for a job like this and that outfit did... why was she jealous? Her blouse and pencil skirt looked good on her and her chest was better developed... The girl looked up to the two of them and what she said next made Hana freeze in her handlings and unsure of what to say: "Ah, mister and misses Mizuki I assume..." How, where, who came up with that, she only booked under her name and... eh... words. "Hi, we want to check it." NOooo she had to deny it, but she did not. She only said a stupid hi!~ ugh. He cant win battles with her?
"Nonsense" G said as they still drove in the cab. He held her in his lap hoping that she would relax in his manly masculine arms. He was oblivious that his action was doing everything but relaxing her.
Luckily, the ride came to an end and the two have arrived at their resort destination. Hana got out first. And the G did. When he saw the resor he thought to himself "If I ever marry. This wil be my honeymoon destination"
The two then went to the reception area. G mostly let Hana lead the way since she picked and paid for the resort and cab and everything. Which mad G think that he should repay her. Having a woman pay everything felt so... unmanly.
Arriving to the reception, G heard what the receptionist called him
"Nevermind, apparently Im already married" G thought to himself as he looked away from everything and blushed... A LOT.
Now that he thought about it. The two werent really behaving like childhood friends. They're sorta acting like a couple. A just married couple. What friends went to a resort together?!? None that he knew of...
That realization mde G blush even more

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The reason why Hanako did not blush because of the receptionist her stupid mistake was because she simply told herself over and over again that it was a stupid interview that she was holding. The interviewee had given some dumb answer that would have made her embarrassed but right now she simply did not allow herself. She got to sign and check her personal credits if the credit card number was correct, her name and address and as it seemed, she got the key to their room. It was a simple swipe through card so that was easy, the girl told that there was a little pamphlet in their room that would tell the right information about every sort of the facility and they were on the first floor, Hana was glad that the girl had not said out loud that she had requested to be as close to the ground as possible as she had vaguely remembered G had said something about it about a year ago. As she looked over her shoulder, she noticed how much he blushed and immediately turned away from him to not break her own spell and blush as well. She muttered something about that the stairs were over there, as the girl had just said. She walked that way without much further ado and waited a little to make sure that G would catch up, if he had immediately followed, she would not stop at all and just check the numbers on the doors, the facilities looked big as the doors were far from each other. When she finally found the right one, she swiped the card through it and just realized what had bothered her so much with the couple welcome, she had asked when she called for two beds, separate and yet, she opened the door, there was a small hallway, a wardrobe, and after that a door to the left and one to the right. The room she stood in now was like a little living room, with a table and two comfortable chairs. She let go of the trolley and noticed the lock on the right door, must mean the bathroom, thus she opened the left door and stared at the king size bed. Right, that didn't go through as well. It looked very comfortable and she did not want to be a nitpick but will this go alright? She bit her lower lip firmly, barely not tasting blood as she remembered their first encounter after years. So much for really being childhood friends and she wasn't even sure at this point if she wanted to be... friends. "It ehm... looks lovely, what do you think?" She turned to G, trying so hard not to give into a moment of weakness, she would be fine. "Anything you want to do?" She walked back into the living room and took the pamphlet of the table. When Hanako did her thing. G just lightly slapped himself to calm himself and stop blushing. He had to get his head together, so he just followed Hana where ever she went. Eventually the two arrived to their room and Hana swiped the card key thing and the two entered the room.
After Hana entered it. G did so as well and closed the door. And thus he inspected the place where they would stay. Small hallway? Check. Wardrobe? Check. G then saw a door on each side of the room. One to the left and one to the right. The room they stood in was like a cute little living room. Table, comfy chairs and all of that good stuff. He liked it. G noticed Hana went to inspect the locked door which was the bathroom. So while she did that, G went to the left door and opened it to discover a bedroom with a king sized bed. As in singular. As in why they were greed as a couple. He felt like a blush was creeping in, but he quickly slapped himself to calm himself. Hana soon arrived beside him and saw the same bed. She asked what did he think
"Erm.... one bed... is that going to be a problem? I can just take a chair in the living room if you want" he said
She also asked if he wanted to do anything.
"I dunno... relax and unwind?"

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away As she stood next to him, biting her lip as she looked at the bed, Hanako couldn't imagine that the chair would be comfortable, she wanted to complain downstairs but she did not want to scare off G, it wasn't his fault and well ehm... what were their options? She looked over at the chair from over her shoulder and she would have to put on a brave facade. She could not punish him for things that were not his fault and well could it not be comfortable? She did not want to think further ahead or actually further back, she had still not changed the couch in her house although it had been a plan. She turned around with a soft sigh and placed her hand shortly on his forearm, "I think we will manage, I mean the chairs don't look very comfortable for sleep." Before she walked over to the table to take the pamphlet, perhaps she should ask if there was another room with two bedrooms, did she not pay for that? Else she should also ask her money back, she scrutinized her look and took off her glasses for a second now that she wasn't reading and besides her eyesight was not that bad, she could, but not see much in the distance and besides if they would get to the pool, she would wear them. She laughed shortly in a giggle when he said relax and unwind, "I think that is mostly what you can do here." She placed her glasses on the table and took off the pamphlet, "We could go for a lunch," As it was ticking towards afternoon and she had not even had breakfast yet, "And after that go to the pool? Or the other way around." But that meant that she would have to change her clothing as well, she had picked a one-piece bathing suit, half regretting the idea of not wearing a bikini, and being unsure what the water would do with the gaze on her body. "There are so many things to do, we should celebrate it, again." She wanted to try out what he would do if she kissed him but that was ridiculous, it was for him, she assumed the adrenalin from yesterday and she was the closest kissable person around. That must be it, this last year, he had multiple girlfriends, she never met any but she had not mind but that meant they were obviously not something like that and she did not know why she suddenly figured out she did not mind, yesterday. Hana spoke how they could manage, but the chairs are not comfortable for him to sleep. It was then when it hit him. Did he tell Hana that he's an insomniac? G couldnt remember, so just in case, he brought it out
"Umm... Hana...I dont know if I did tell you this, but... I dont really sleep. It's fine if you dont want me on the bed. You can have it. I can just sit on a chair and do stuff quietly" he said a bit shyly or insecurely.
He didnt really wanna say how he couldnt sleep because of nightmares or how when he'd try to sleep he'd wake up screaming. He didnt want to say how he'd usually sleep peacefully once he'd tire himself out in bed. He didnt want to be weak infront of her. Thats why he gave a generalization that he just doesnt sleep and that she can take the bed if she wants to.
"As much as I'd like to sleep with Hana, I shouldnt push my luck" G thought to himself
When it came to the subject on what to do, Hana laughed a bit at his silly remark of relaxing and unwinding, because he really didnt give much of an answer. He was glad to see her laugh. Hana suggested lunch and pool. But what to do first. He was pretty split. He DID want food, but he also wanted to swim. Agh, so hard
"If you're hungry, we can lunch first. Otherwise Im all for the pool" G said

She wanted to walk over to him and hug him because he seemed to not be entirely happy about telling her, or well that was Hanako her assumption. "Oh." She wasn't sure what she should say, no sleep at all? How do you survive in that case, "I leave that up to you, I don't mind. I am not easily woken up in my sleep." She wasn't exactly sure if that was true as she mostly slept alone and those one night stands she had, well she mostly kicked them out before really sleeping or she sneaked off already, she did not feel like waking up next to someone she actually did not know or not wanted to know. "So what makes you the most comfortable I guess, you can always try to just ehm, I don't know how it works but rest, I bet a bed is still more comfortable than a chair." How else would she say it and why did she feel so damn weird and uncomfortable, she should be able to do this right, she was self-confident and independent. She brushed her hair over her shoulder to do something instead of just stand there quietly and uncomfortable herself. As they talked about what to do, she felt much more relaxed and placed the pamphlet back on the table as she had made a decision on the first things to do. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and thought about it, "I think the pool would be a great start. We can always order while we are there I believe or go for food later." She grinned, "I need to change clothing in that case." She said and took the last steps to her trolley and opened it to take her bathing-suit out of it and looked at Gil for a second, "I am glad to be here." she said before opening the door to the bathroom again and stepping in, she did not lock it, she trusted him, that was a good start right, besides.. well, not to think about anything particular, she did undress quickly and took on the bathing suit. As she was done, she stepped out of the bathroom. Her skirt and blouse folded as she threw it back in the suitcase. She forgot to take the kimono-like bathrobe that she had, she told herself not to feel uncomfortable or exposed, if he would not see it now, he would see it about ten minutes later at the pool. He really wanted to bed with her. Even if he didnt sleep, to just be able to lay in a bed with her would be nice, but alas it did not seem like that was going to be the case, which was a damn shame. But then when she spoke again, he raised his eyebrow, slightly confused
"Wait, so... do you want me to be in bed with you or not? I'm confused" he said as a simple yes or no answer would suffice. He doesnt wanna force something onto his friend and lose her, but he also doesnt want to be far away from her, that includes being in a different room
When it came to the other stuff, Hana prefered the pool and said that they could easily order food while they were there. She then went to the bathroom to change. She also told him that she is glad to be here, which made G smile
"I'm glad to be here as well and erm... Im glad you're here with me" he said
Hana closed the bathroom door to do her thing. Which reminded G, he should then change too, so while she's in the bathroom, he might as well change in the bedroom, as to not waste time waiting for her to be done.
He quickly changed in the bedroom and changed into his swimsuit. Since he was a guy and just had manly shorts as a swimsuit, he was done before Hana. But as he entered the living room he saw Hana exit the bathroom also in her swimsuit. He liked the view, smiled and gave her a thumbs up. He didnt say anything as to avoid saying something childish and or stupid
