How long had it been? Eight hours? Nine? More? Probably more, to be honest. Jaz couldn't even remember when she had gotten there. All she knew was that she was tired. Heck, she was utterly exhausted and she wasn't even able to hide that fact.
Breathing heavily, pant after pant escaping her, Jaz was leaning over, supporting her frame with her hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath. Cuts and bruises littered her pale white skin, small bloodstains on her clothes. Her knuckles were a little bloody, palms charred from quirk overuse. Sweat covered the entirety of her being as she struggled to keep standing; no, seriously. How long had the girl been at this? It felt like the second she entered the combat zone everyone had been out to get her. It was spar after spar, training activity after training activity. It was borderline retarded how much these guys were trying to push her, all while tossing a slur of insults her way. The lioness being who she were was unable to take this laying down and accepted every single challenge thrown her way.
Even now as she tried her best to keep on standing without falling backwards on her ass, several soldiers were on the ground, flat on their faces. At some point they had gotten fed up with her showing them up and decided to, quote unquote, teach her a lesson. Three of them had jumped her at once. A type of initiation ritual, she figured. Too bad she wasn't going to have any of it. Indignantly, rebelliously, the blonde lioness had utterly destroyed them without a single shred of remorse. At first she had decided to do it easy, take it one step at a time - no quirk, just your good old fashioned beat down. But, fortunately for our blonde lioness, she was quickly reminded that she was facing off against trained soldiers, not some thugs on the street she could toss around like trash. It hadn't been long until Jasmine was forced to go full Ember mode and employ her quirk, by which point the fight had immediately turned. Sure, it wasn't easy to win, but she had gotten the job done.
Plus it felt kind of nice shotgunning one of them in the face with a makeshift riot gun that her quirk could produce. Fun times.
"What in the fuck is going on?!" A voice called out, making the exhausted lioness turn over her shoulder to witness a very furious dark-haired woman, her brown eyes leveling her with a glare that made her think she was about to pull a gun on her and shoot her in the face.
"S-Sergeant..." One of the men croaked out, trying to get back to his feet yet failing quickly as fell back down into a miserable heap.
"Well this is pathetic," Sergeant Yoshi Miwa growled under her breath, approaching the three men sprawled out on the ground. Clicking her tongue, she kicked at the arm of one of the men who tried to stand up, forcing him back to the ground, "Stay down like the loser you are, maggot. Lost to an utter child. Useless!"
Jaz quirked a brow. Not only was this woman treating her supposed men like trash, she also- "This child is right here," the blonde growled at her statement, firing back with a glare just as intense as the one she had previously received. Shit, she was tired as all hell and was sure if she tried another fight she'd get her ass handed to her. But, unfortunately, Jaz is one stubborn daughter of a bitch. There was no way in seven Hells she was going to take it lying down if this woman decided to bare her fangs at the lioness.
The Sergeant's head jerked as she glared back at the blonde, the familiar tensing of her muscles making the blonde student-in-hero-training go into high alert mode once more. Her body was screaming at her to sit the fuck down and rest, but it wouldn't be the first time Jaz didn't do the sensible thing. Yet, quickly enough, the Sergeant had composed herself, exhaling a calming breath in an attempt to keep herself from utterly destroying this girl full of nothing but empty bravado.
"Get yourself to the infirmary before you cause us any problems," the woman practically ordered and it was clear in her tone that she wasn't about to accept any argument. Jaz scoffed; all of this shit was caused by her men in the first place and she was the one causing problems? Get fucked.
Sighing, the blonde lioness eventually decided that it was better if she just did as she was told. For once. Thus, collecting her jacket, she slowly limped towards the infirmary. Christ, every single fiber in her body burned and hurt. It had been a while since the last time she was forced to fight for an entire day. Her body had gotten unused to it. She was almost certain that she wasn't getting up again if she were to sit down. Now that was a pathetic thought.
Having asked a couple of random soldiers for directions, the girl begun to slowly make her way to the infirmary, her mind replaying the events of the day in her head. It was something of a strategy plan; what had she done wrong? What could she have done differently? In her mind, she analyzed the movements of the soldiers that were fighting against her. They were trained - painfully so. She wasn't even ashamed to admit that she had been utterly outclassed. Had it not been for her quirk, Jasmine would've lost that fight very painfully. The thought made her sigh. She still had a long, long way to go.
Eventually she was finally in front of the door to the infirmary. A sigh left her throat as she knocked before letting herself in. Immediately, she froze. Shit, she thought, the sight of a familiar raven haired girl making her smile uneasily. She was about to get an earful for looking like an utter mess, wasn't she?

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Rin was mildly speaking rather unimpressed with the current display of things. Well, not so much the display, as much as it was everything surrounding it. Some of the personnel working at the medical tents was being helpful, kind, open, hardworking. Other personnel seemed like they were more interested in people's quirks and the biological implications, than they were in the people, the individuals, who were wielding said quirks. It was somewhat disconcerning, in all honesty. For anything research related, there was plenty of potential assistance. When it came to other things, such as treating wounds or having a look at things that plagued regular humans as well, the assistance was much less pronounced. Recently, Rin had been doing her best at assisting where she could, though, she really wasn't welcome there. It had resulted in the girl setting up camp, together with some of the other nurses from Yuuei, in one of the tents outside the medical mobile unit. Haruto and Elise were both around on occasion, meaning there was some genuine assistance for quirk users, beyond just having their quirks researched. Not that Rin or any of the others had any intentions of setting up shop for extended periods of time. It was more of a minor hobby thing, that had gotten enough attention that there had been some visitors. Sighing softly, Rin began packing her things together. The day was slowly nearing an end. Perhaps there was some of her friends in the immediate area, that she could hit up and go get something to eat with...?Barely had Rin left the tent, pulling out her phone to begin writing the message onto the Yuuei chatroom, before Jasmine waddled up to her. Sniffing the air, the scent of sweat and exhaustion was immediate. The blonde looked beaten up, bruised, spent and used. The raven haired female tilted her head to the side inquisitively. At the very least, Jasmine didn't seem to be severely injured. Nothing that a bit of ice and some care couldn't take care of in a couple of days at most. That, however, was less pressing than the reasoning for Jasmine getting completely tuckered out. Then again, given how the miltiary had treated Rin earlier, it probably wasn't as surprising as she should've found it. Sighing softly, the raven haired female nudged her head towards the tent. It seemed that at least one more helpless quirker would be receiving some care and attention before Rin closed up shop. "..Come on in, let's have a look at you, blondie."Inside the tent, there wasn't much to work with, either. It was more or less just a space that could hold three or four patients at once, with access to most basic remedies; Water and food, rags and cloth. "If you have anywhere it hurts worse, let me know. Otherwise I'll just make sure you're okay." Rin spoke in a very calm tone, not at all shouting or being unpleasant like Jasmine may have suspected. Sure, there was an ounce of concern in her voice, a wish that it hadn't happened, but that did very little to patch the blonde up at this point. "..What kind of mess did you get yourself involved with this time?" Honestly, it was kind of rich comming from Rin. The girl who had been sent to the infirmary twice, barely able to walk on her own two legs. The girl that had been abducted after the fiasco that was the music night, now struggling to even recover her will to live. If anything, Rin had gotten involved in more crazy shit than Jasmine had, which given the blonde's disposition to get herself into trouble, spoke volumes. Quietly, if Jasmine would allow it, Rin would be brushing a wet rag over the worst of the bruises, offering soft touches bordering massage to help alleviate the exhaustion..."..You're going to have to take me out for dinner, though. I'm absolutely starving, and I don't fancy going alone." Rin spoke, in a soft tone, slipping her hands into the medical belt secured around her waist. Withdrawing a couple of simple painkillers, she offered them to Jasmine. There wasn't a need for anything more than light cleaning, the soft massage and maybe a painkiller. Everything else that Jasmine suffered with, would be treated by time. "...I'm somewhat in the mood for something spicy, if you're thinking up ideas." Rin mused quietly to herself. There wasn't much warmth coming from the blonde's roommate, but there was some. Perhaps the biggest change was that Rin didn't seem absolutely deep frozen all the time. It was slight, it was subtle, but she was clawing her way back to life...

Jasmine could only chuckle nervously as Rin tilted her head. The blonde begun scratching the back of her head rather sheepishly, painfully aware of the verbal beat down she was likely to now receive from the little Raven after coming to her all cut up and bruised. She didn't have anyway to prove it; honestly more often than not Rin was the one in the hospital with Jasmine rushing over there to make sure she was okay, ironically enough. But Jasmine was almost certain that, were their roles reversed - as anyone with a lick of brain power would say they should be - the blonde lioness just had this hunch that Rin would give her so much shit for being reckless.
Although strangely enough not a single word about it came from her dark haired roommate. Jaz wondered if it was because of recent events. It likely was. So many things have changed over the course of the past couple of weeks, the normally very quickly adaptable lioness had sometimes found it a little difficult to acclimate. Though as often as she did she simply grit her teeth and let the wave carry her, trying her best to clear these stormy waters. For better or for worse Jasmine's prior life had helped her aid Rin in what the brunette likely considered the most annoying shit she's dealt with in her life. Jaz had been like that one annoying fly you just couldn't get rid of, buzzing around you as though its life mission was to annoying the living crap out of you.
While all that was true and honestly Jaz had even annoyed herself a little by being this obnoxious, the blonde girl wasn't about to let Rin wallow in self-hate and loneliness. She knew exactly how destructive Rin's deranged thoughts were likely to be and she'd be damned if she let the shorter femme suffer through this alone.
A soft hum leaving her lips, a small smile was still on Jasmine's lips as she approached and sat down where instructed, "Okay," she said, outstretching her arms to give Rin a little more access. Her limbs were cut up and bruised in various spots, blue and green spots all over. Her knuckles had also been cut up and bloody pretty badly, yet surprisingly intact. She sat still as Rin began cleaning up her wounds; it had sometimes stung a little, making some part of her want to hiss or jerk back but... honestly? The fact that Rin was doing the patching up was rather... calming? Jasmine didn't show a single sign of discomfort nor did she make any attempt to complain or recoil. She was just sitting still, that very same nervous smile on her face.
"Oh... well, the soldiers wanted a piece of me. Or fifty. So they kept coming at me all day. It was kind of cute, really," the blonde lioness explained, another chuckle leaving her. "Normally I wouldn't have really bothered but after a few things they said I just couldn't help myself, y'know?" She added, yet decidedly left that part of the explanation for another time. Rin didn't need to know that part of the reason she decided to go HAM on a couple of dumbass soldiers was the fact that they had insulted her. That'd probably make her even more worried. Or, more likely scenario, now that she thought about it? The current Rin was probably going to try to punch them in the face. She didn't know whether to be proud or scared of that fact.
Rin's touch was like silk against her rough skin, making her sigh contently. Part of her tried nuzzling into the Raven as the massage progressed, a low purr leaving the lioness throat. Fuck, that felt so nice. Even the pulsating pain in her bruises was slowly starting to melt away, replaced with a warm sensation of belonging, if that made any sense. Fucking butterflies; they were returning and it made her want to giggle like a dumbass. The last couple of weeks had been so mentally taxing, so emotionally draining... it was nice to just kick back and relax, have a talk, do something... normal without any shitty undertones.
In a very Jasmine-esque way, the blonde did something she hadn't attempted in what seemed like forever. She knew Rin now had boundaries and that trying to cross those boundaries was dangerous. But at the same time something very fucking annoyingly warm had overwhelmed her; she'd been trying to keep the cold darkness away from Rin for too long, thus having been drowning in it herself. The little bit of warmth she was now receiving was like an oasis after a three-day-long walk in the desert: so damn intoxifying she couldn't dream about leaving just yet. Thus, she gently took Rin's hand with her own, placing a gentle kiss on the outer side of her palm before nuzzling it against her cheek.
"I have just the idea. It won't be fancy, but if it's spicy you're going for it will do the trick," she said, her voice likely one or two octaves higher than normal and she was very painfully aware of this. Like a dog depraved of food for too long (or, in this case, a girl in love who hadn't seen her inamorata for way too fucking long), Jaz just couldn't help herself. Sure, she wasn't going to push it too far. But fuck if some affection wouldn't have felt nice.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy It all happened internally, although her expression may have still given it away. It was a drawn out, deep facepalm. Of course the lionness had gotten herself into trouble with the only kind of gathering of peoples that may have actually been able to hold a candle to her own stubbornness. "We both know how stubborn you can get, blondie. I'm sure you'd have found an excuse to teach them not to consider you a stupid kid somehow, someway, anyway." Rin said in a soft tone, a small few hints of teasing in there. At the very least it wasn't a complete sarcastic beatdown of the choices Jasmine had made in the past god-knows how many hours. Judging by the oldest of the bruises, it might very well have been underway most of the day. Though, knowing Jasmine's stamina levels, it may have also been much less severe of a stretch of time. When it came to taking hits, getting back up, or dishing out damage, Rin knew that Jasmine was leagues and bounds ahead of herself. When it came to staying up late, or running a marathon, or in general being persistent through relentlessness rather than force, Rin would've often placed bets on herself instead. "I'm somewhat surprised at how well your body receives impacts. It's like your muscles are built like a wrestler... If I had taken these kinds of hits, this kind of punishment, I'd probably be mush." Thats about when Jasmine decided to put up a small show of affection. A soft kiss placed onto her hand, a gentle snuggle, nuzzle, brushing. For a short moment, it seemed like Rin had completely shut down, like the lines of code that made her mental processes operate had crashed, giving off a string of errors. Rather than crashing however, Rin gently stroked Jasmine's cheek once, before brushing through the blonde's hair a couple of times, sighing softly. "..but even if you're this tough, you're not unbreakable blondie. At least for the next thirty or so hours, stay out of trouble. Adding more damage to your bruises could be really bad." Rin continued, not yet addressing the fact that Jasmine was talking about their personal lives. Until the girl was done with the cleanup and physical care of the patient, it seemed Rin was sticking to a mostly professional approach. As soon as that was over however, and Rin was content with Jasmine's current status quo, the gentle strokes of the blonde's hair became ruffling instead."Y'know, whether it's a chili hotdog or something fancier, I'm completely fine just eating something. I've been holed up around these tents for almost the entire day, I'm staaarrrving." Stretching to her full length, Rin let out a soft, tired yawn. Tiltiug her head to the side, several crackling noises went through her joints. "...Alright, I think you're good to go. Let's go get ourselves something to eat." Rin offered Jasmine a hand to help get the blonde back up, all the while packing down the different medical tools she had received from Maximillian back into their different compartments. It was a bit of a melancholic feeling to be utilizing these tools, after what had happened in class. Rin truly appreciated the gifts she had received, yet Maximillian had made it exceedingly clear that things between them all had changed. Naturally, that he had changed meant nothing for the tools he had provided her with, but the girl couldn't help but feel a little strange utilizing them. Assuming Rin was successful in getting Jasmine back on her feet, she'd nudge the blonde with her shoulder. "Lead the way, corporal~"

"Listen, smartass. I'm not about to take a hit lying down. They were being little shits. I showed them that they're better off being little shits with whatever they call that bitch of a commanding officer. Stubbornness had nothing to do with it, so can it with the attitude," Jasmine supplied, mostly as a joke. It was no secret to anybody that Jasmine wasn't someone who backed down from a challenge. Whatever you'd throw at her she'd respond by throwing back something at least three times larger. That's just how Jasmine functioned - you did good, she did her best to do better. Was she a pretentious overachiever? Some would consider her to be one, yes. But if you bothered to ask her you'd realize that all she was trying to do was be better. Not better than everyone else, mind you. Rather, she was trying to be better than she herself was. Every day was a fight. A journey to improve. More often than not said journey was a bitter pill to swallow - she was only human, she had limits, and while she definitely sought to overcome those limits, everyone needed a breather now and again.
There was also one surprisingly unknown fact about Jasmine that should've come as obvious to anyone by now. She didn't much care about people bad mouthing her. Back home there was plenty of that. Enough to probably make even Mick Jagger feel like an ugly good for nothing piece of shit in his prime. That didn't change when she came to Yuuei either. Several mishaps along the way was all she needed to get the reputation of somebody that wasn't exactly considered the paragon of justice or even friendship, regardless of the fact that she apparently won second place in that strange popularity contest that the school hosted internally. Jasmine never cared about any of it. It just... didn't matter. If she were to be blatantly honest she'd even go so far as to say all of it was beneath her. But there was one thing she wouldn't stand for. The cliche of cliches. And yet said banality wasn't as commonplace as people thought it was, mostly because people never walked the talk.
You can say shit about her. She won't even bat an eyelash. Her friends, though? There was no coming back from that.
Hell she wondered how she hasn't ripped Maximilian's head off of his shoulders yet. Probably because that sad hot piece of garbage wouldn't know what common sense or rational thought was if it slapped him across the face. With a cactus. Twice. On either cheek.
That was the entirety of the reason Jasmine had gotten into this mess in the first place. Sure, when she arrived the military were being flacid dicks about it. Egging her on, trying to get her to fight. Fight she did, but a simple spar to get them to fuck off was all that that situation was supposed to be. And then they said the magic words.
You fucking monster. Just like that bloody skank of a friend in the infirmary.
Honestly? Jaz couldn't have known that that particular sentence was aimed at Rin. But her very first instinct was to snap. Oh and snap she did, unleashing a hell that would be remembered by Sergeant Yoshi Miwa and her men for quite a fucking while. Damn cunts.
"Surprised?" Jaz asked, rolling her eyes, "It's not like I've been training three times per day every day for the past several months or anything. Dumbass," she replied, the last word coming out a little quieter than the rest as she heaved a sigh and leaned back into her chair, feeling some of the exhaustion from before multiplying due to having sat down. Despite how trained she was, the prior spar did take a lot out of her and now that her muscles had gotten some reprieve they barely wanted to start functioning again. A part of her considered they were cramping but honestly she was too tired to check. Heck, she was too exhausted to even process the feeling of pain. Huh, that was actually quite a useful skill.
"Yes, mom. Thank you for the lecture. Anything else I need to look forward to? Hey, you never know, maybe a swarm of a gajillion bees is about to attack me and sting me so hard my ass will turn blue. Wait, that seems like a scenario we've been in before. Huh."
Rambling aside.
The blonde lioness hummed at the Raven's words, her mind quickly considering all the place she knew about. One came to mind. It wasn't anything special - something like a kebab or burrito or whatever place that had set up shop near the military grounds to earn a quick buck. She'd seen quite a few people go there on their downtime - students and soldiers alike - so she figured it would be a good thing to try out. And on the flip side it wasn't that far meaning she wouldn't tire her legs out too much. And she wouldn't have to spend too much money. God was she broke after getting all the tools she needed. Both for her tattoo stuff and that bike she was planning to build.
But lets not get ahead of ourselves, shall we? She still had yet to requisition a garage from Kobayashi to be able to hone her craft.
Anyway.
Groaning, the fiery teenager hopped up to her feet, feeling no worse for wear, yet quite a bit tired. Smirking slyly, Jaz took Rin's hand for her own, intertwining their fingers as she did so, purposefully ignoring any and all protests that might have come from the significantly shorter female, "Lead the way I shall," she said, marching out of the infirmary and taking the little Raven with her.
"So," she began as they walked the hallways, totally ignoring the soldiers or students that might have seen them on the way out of the compound, "how's your day been?"

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Looking and listening to Jasmine, Rin was fairly quickly aware of exactly what had been going on. Well, not the exact details, but the history that was being portrayed. There were very few situations which could put the blonde into this kind of mindset. Everything that was said from the raven haired female needed some kind of retort from the blonde. Even if there were playful tones to it, Rin knew fully well that, for Jasmine to be this angsty, something beyond the scenario described must've happened. Typically when that happened, as also currently evidenced, Jasmine gave quite a grumpy, borderline childish retort at that. No, you. It meant that Jasmine was convinced she had done the right thing in the situation. Because Jasmine believed she had done the right thing, any mentions of looking after herself or being careful, was likely wiped from the blonde's mind. Replaced with a you don't understand, I absolutely had to punch that mariner in the face. It meant that there were things which the blonde stood for, which had been trampled upon, needing rectification. Behaviour from others which absolutely could not go unpunished. Sighing softly to herself, Rin could only guess what it might've been this time. Probably the military speaking down to quirkers in general, making them less than human. At least, such comments had come by the raven haired female as well. "I get it, I get it, you're adamant that you did the right thing. Don't have to behave like a child to get the point across." Rin replied in a submissive tone, accepting that there wasn't any way she could take that argument and have a chance to win. Waving her arms dismissively, she just hoped Jasmine would snap out of the confrontative mindset. Afterall, a grumpy Jasmine was less adorable than the happier version. "All I am asking is that you do it better so I don't have to worry your body might come apart. You're not built of steel."Such was their interactions in many regards, Rin found. The raven haired female herself, didn't have many things which she absolutely needed to stand up for. Humiliation, defeat, ridicule, being made out to be pathetic...? None of those categories had a snowballs chance in hell of getting under her skin. If others were doing it to Jasmine, that also wouldn't make Rin's blood boil. Words were simply words, and Jasmine wasn't some weak cinnamon bun who needed sheltering from harsh opinions. The only time Rin felt a need to absolutely act, was when these types of people decided to take it a step further and get physical. Rin would never allow anyone to hurt her dear ones in such a manner. Perhaps that is exactly why Jasmine and Rin came at odds ends in these circumstances. Rin would've always preferred seeing a healthy yet slightly gloomy Jasmine, to a wounded but stoic version. At least recently, Rin was fairly confident in her ability to put a smile on the blonde's lips. "I am only forced to act like your mom because you suck at taking care of yourself. If you'd simply do more of those things, I'd do less of them." This time, it was Rin's turn to roll her eyes. It was far from the first time that mom had been used by Jasmine. Rin couldn't always tell whether it was appreciated that someone bothered looking out for the blonde, or if she truly wished to be more of a lone wolf. It seemed to come in whenever they were having this type of conversation. With Jasmine hopping back onto her feet, Rin could not help but be impressed at the lioness' capability for tolerating pain. With that exhaustion and those leftover remains from the earlier battle, Rin herself would've probably been waddling around a little more carefully... When Jasmine grabbed her hand, Rin positioned herself to give the lionness a bit of support. Nothing that the lionness was likely to notice, simply a bit of a balancing factor to help combat the exhaustion. It was sort of how Rin functioned. Anything that came into contact with her received the support she could give."My day has mostly been okay. I'm running some blood samples in the laboratory. Strangely, some of them seemed to have disappeared. I'm not entirely sure whether someone is pulling pranks on me, or why they've gone missing, but it's quite annoying..." Fortunately, Rin was methodical and careful enough that the important blood samples weren't even possible to snatch from under her eyes. At least not without seriously dedicating to it. "How about you?.. I mean, aside from getting into fights, what've you been up to?" Rin's grasp around Jasmine's hand was exquisite. Soft, gentle, almost like Jasmine had taken a hold of a silken glove rather than the hand of another human being...~

"Yeah, yeah," Jasmine replied, waving her off. She sincerely didn't want to get into an argument about what was right and what was not. What was childish and what wasn't. Rin wouldn't understand that particular point anyway. They never saw eye-to-eye in matters like this. Jasmine agreed that what was most important was making sure that people were safe from actual harm. She agreed to that whole-heartedly. However she wasn't about to let those dearest to them be shittalked by anybody. She'd seen and felt the damage that verbal abuse could do to somebody. And, besides... if a person she respected and loved was bad-mouthed by somebody, she wasn't about to let something like that slide regardless of the fact if that person was present in the area or not. Something like that just left a very bad taste in her mouth.
And, besides. She was free to punch whoever the hell she wanted.
"Yeah well I might as well be," she supplied, "I'm fine. Don't worry about it." The last part was accompanied by a wink. Even if she was exhausted and slightly injured, it was minuscule at best. Frankly the lioness could go for another round or five and be relatively fine. Her tenacity when it came to fighting was borderline unmatched as she was somebody who could get back up on her feet when others would put her down. That was part of Jasmine Noir's charm and battle prowess, after all.
My moms tend to die, she wanted to say, but kept the sentiment locked in her head. That was a bit too dark for the current mood.
"Stolen samples? Huh. Who the hell would steal blood samples? What are you working on, anyway? Sounds a little sketchy," the blonde lioness answered, both a little curious and worried. She hoped Rin was getting herself into any kind of trouble. The last time that happened was enough for the both of them and a good number of others.
"My day was just that - fighting. Fighting, fighting and fighting. People just can't leave me alone it seems. I have no idea if it's because of that vanity fair Yuuei calls a ranking system or whatever but everybody now wants a piece of Jasmine fucking Noir. That and the soldiers here are utter pricks. Like, I get the idea of wanting to test the capability of one of the most destructive quirks around but Jesus Christ I'm a human not a fucking lab rat," she said, an annoyed sigh leaving her lips. "Then again... this does remind me of home. Kinda makes me happy in a real twisted sense, y'know? Like I'm in my natural habitat, as fucked up as that sounds. Had me going there for a while."
As the two of them conversed, they finally approached the food truck. A couple of soldiers were just done getting a kebab each, meaning there was no line and the two of them were free to order. Ignoring the glare the two soldiers she had, funnily enough, punched in the face before, Jasmine approached the truck, looking through the menu, "I'm thinking enchiladas. Heard they're pretty great here? How about you?"

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy At the notion that Jasmine may have been made of steel, Rin gave the blonde lionness a bit of an elbow towards a blue mark, just enough to prove the point she was trying to make. Not really enough to hurt the lionness, but enough that they could, fairly, conclude that she was not made of some indestructible material. Beyond that, Rin didn't say anything. Arguing between them over their respective views of like was indeed pointless. So instead, Rin moved onto a subject which was slightly more pressing. A subject which she still wasn't entirely sure how to approach and deal with. "Someone has been slowing down my analysis. I've come to the conclusion that the Quirk Enhancing Drug, in all likelihood, originated from the military. At the very least, they have access to it. The exact hows and whys I still cannot uncover. I mean to go snooping a bit in the medical area before they leave the camp." Rin explained in a quiet, hushed tone, making sure that there was no one around who could overhear their conversation. Doing a quick scan by turning her head, the coast seemed clear. Well, they were leaving the military grounds, so perhaps that wasn't too surprising in and of itself. "It's very sketchy, in all honesty. I'll be speaking to a few other students, ask for their assistance in searching for clues. I hoped you'd join me in the medical area for the presentations?" Stretching to her full length, that was neither here nor there. There were at least a few days till the presentation, so Rin and Jasmine would have a fair bit of time to discuss any details. Though, if Rin knew Jasmine right, the lionness wasn't too caring for all the details. Being brought along and told to smack the bad guys in the face was typically enough of a hook to garner the blonde's attention.
As for what had happened with the samples, Rin had a fair few ideas. There was obviously the big conspiracy. That whoever worked at the medical area for the military, was out to sabotage whatever Rin was doing. Whether it was to prevent her from gathering evidence, or simply to be a dick towards the quirk users, Rin wouldn't have a single way of knowing. It seemed fairly unlikely though, that the military would even have noticed that the raven haired female had acquired a blood sample from the shark. Thus, sabotaging the evidence was a highly unlikely motive. The other, more reasonable explanation, was that there were people who were interested in knowing more about the general quirks around Tokyo. Gangs, scientists, even government employees. Information, especially in this day and age, was in many ways equivalent to power. The one who came prepared, was the one who had an advantage. Properly studying quirks, their limitations, their strengths, their weaknesses, their power potential... It was valuable information, whether you were a villain, a vigilante, or an upcoming heroine. In short, there was quite the array of possibilities. Most of which were largely unconcerning. It wasn't critical information which Rin wished to withhold. Nor was Rin afraid of being laughed at by the general medical staff. Their laughter meant nothing to her, especially not when she suspected that most of them may in fact be downright scumbags.Rin wanted to reply to the next few exchanges, but there really wasn't much of anything she could say. In Rin's own world, Jasmine was very often reciprocating the things that got her into fights in the first place. Escalating things, pouring gasoline on the fire, making the whole thing even more of a mess. Pride, honor, protecting the ideals of those around her. There were so many things that Jasmine was unwilling to let go, even if it could save her an incredible amount of trouble. "Tough break, being such an awesome fighter, eh?..." It was a generic response, followed by a soft smile. They both knew what it meant. They both knew that this was something they couldn't change between them. Rin, at the same time, had been through the fire herself, all for the reason that she held a position which wasn't even destined to her. Lets test the number one student, boys. Rin was just so unassuming that, in most cases, she managed to blend into crowds a lot better than the tall, sturdy built lionness. Perhaps in some twisted way, Jasmine was welcoming this attention. Rin could at least easily accuse the lionness of drawing attention to herself, so that no other students would have to suffer at the hands of the military. I can take it, other students might've broken. Something like that. It was, after all, one of the ways Jasmine portrayed heroism. Stoic and unbreaking. At the food truck, the group of soldiers glares were felt by Rin, like an orbital laser targetting system designated to their destruction. For the moment however, at least they remained in their seats, unmoving. "U-uh, I'll just... have what you're having, please. I don't eat... out that often... I trust you have a better instinct when it comes to these things." Jasmine could immediately tell, if she was paying any kind of attention. Rin was acting nervous, anxious, unsettled. Having such a hostile atmosphere with eyes practically plastered to them wasn't something she dealt with all that well. Not because these soldiers posed any kind of direct threat to them. It was because of what could happen if things truly began escalating. If these individuals weren't afraid of taking another swing at Jasmine, outside the training area, in front of civilians, the consequences could stretch much farther, than being explained away as a misfortunate training accident. For going out and having a bite to eat together, perhaps they ought to get their food to-go. "M-maybe we should, eat on the road, y-yeah?" At least, to Rin, that would be many times better than sitting here around people that, with their pressence alone, would spoil their meal.

Jasmine had locked away what Rin had said about the QED deep inside the back of her mind, deciding to keep quiet about the situation for now. This felt like a touchy subject, one that shouldn't have been discussed where practically anybody could hear them. A lot of questions swam in her mind, first and foremost in regards to exactly how Rin had acquired this information. But she thought it better if she kept her mouth shut for now and asked questions later, simply offering a short for sure! upon being asked to join the little Raven in her endeavor to the medical area. Considering the fact that Rin had caught the scent of something shady, there was absolutely no way Jasmine was going to let the girl walk into this shit by her lonesome self. Rin was strong, but the gods only knew the girl was a bit dense in terms of fighting instinct. Why did Jaz say that? Well, because of her personality Rin likely wasn't somebody who could be merciless in a fight - something that was too often necessary. If you worried about an opponent, chances were you were going to get blindsided and fucked up. It had happened to Jasmine herself once or twice. Never again. Ever.
When they reached the food stand, Jasmine had practically ignored the handful of soldiers that were giving him the stink-eye. It didn't really matter so long as they didn't give them any shit. And if they were to say anything or even do anything, Jasmine was pretty sure she was still capable of breaking some skulls even if she had been utterly exhausted and spent for the day. Did she consider the repercussions that would've followed had she fought the military outside the military grounds? Sure. Did she care? Not... really? It wasn't like she was about to go punching them for glaring at the two girls. And if they started something, she could fight back and simply plead self-defense. There were witnesses around - namely the food stall people - who she heard were quite pro-Yuuei, if the small smile on the chubby-guy's face who worked the stall was anything to go by.
"Howdy girls. You two alright?" The older man asked, leaning over the counter by supporting himself with his elbows, inquisitive brown eyes glancing over the two females.
"Hanging in there, yeah," Jasmine supplied with a slow salute.
The man snickered at her, "Yuuei, right?"
"1-A, at your service!"
He chuckled again, "Heard you kids have been doing drills with the military. Those guys can be quite the bunch to deal with. They're not giving you any trouble, are they?"
The blonde lioness simply shrugged at the question. The action did sting her shoulder a bit, but it wasn't anything that was easy to notice, "No worse than the usual, really. What gave it away? The bandages? Or Rin over here looking like she's about to pass out from worrying about everything a little too much?"
"Hah!" He laughed. He didn't know exactly what the taller blonde had in mind, but the girl sure looked rather nervous. Clearly the soldiers over there enjoying their kebabs way unnerving her. Assholes scaring off customers. Well, nothing he could do about that, really. At the very least he could try accommodating the two girls. "You know what? Pick anything you like. A portion each. On the house."
"Oh, shit. For real?" Jasmine asked almost immediately thereafter, her eyes widening and practically sparkling. Hey, free food was free fucking food. No way was she going to not be excited about it, let alone say no!
"Yes, for real. Just without the shit," he said, giving her the look, to which she just rubbed the back of her head sheepishly. "Consider this a thank you for trying to become Pro Heroes, yeah? You guys are the future protectors of us simple folk, so we gotta help you along the way."
Man, if only more people thought like this guy, Jasmine thought, glancing over her shoulder to grin at Rin, "Well we plan to take you up on that offer. Enchiladas it is then, thanks!"
After a few brief moments, the two girls got their food - as take-out, per Rin's request - thanked the guy serving them and went on their way. Rin was nervous, that was obvious enough without the little Raven explaining that to Jasmine verbally. But, instead of eating on the go, Jasmine had insisted that they go to a certain place just outside the military grounds, all the way around the compound. Jaz was silent along the way, trying to resist the urge to utterly devour all the food she had stored in a small, see-through plastic bag. God that smell was intoxicating. Jasmine had to actually focus to keep herself from scarfing down on both her food and Rin's.
After a few moments they reached a set of abandoned buildings. Rin might have been a little nervous to enter considering the circumstances, but Jaz only grinned as she egged her on inside. The two of them went up several flights of broken down stairs, up to the fourth floor, before they found themselves on the roof. Out in front of them was quite the view - the whole of Musutafu could be seen far into the horizon, the setting sun painting the city a luminous orange. It was the time of the day where looking directly into the sun - while quite bright, didn't hurt your eyes. And boy did the warmth feel nice.
Sitting on the ground, making herself comfortable with her back against a large, broken down AC, Jasmine moaned as her muscles relaxed once again. She tapped the ground next to her for Rin to sit down before she dug into the plastic bag, giving Rin her food and then unwrapping her own.
And then, seemingly out of nowhere, the question came.
"How'd you find out about this Quirk Enhancing Drug, anyway? Or that there's shady shit going on?"
It had never left her mind. And she wasn't about to let it be unanswered either.

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Now this was something one did not encounter on an average everyday. Jasmine was the one to be approached by the staff at the food stall. Not only was she the one approached, she was actually being rather sociable for once. Chatting sentences back and forth in what would, by many, be considered a sociable exchange. Something that, for all intents and purposes, the blonde lionness typically shied away from. Rin simply watched and listened, a little taken aback by the difference in attitude. Over time, Rin could've sworn that Jasmine had been changing. First, the blonde was appearing stoic, cheeky, with both feet planted solidly on the ground. However, she was a house built in the sand. Sand that, when Michael passed away, had been washed away. Without its foundation, the house had begun toppling. Desperation, uncharacteristic choices and behaviour. It was like Jasmine had been lost. Now that she was finding her path again, there were many things about her that seemed more mature. That is, a Jasmine esque maturity. Not maturity in the common sense of the word. Jasmine would always be far too childish, playful and energetic to be really mature. Not that Rin minded. It was one of the things that made Jasmine who she was. Charming, in her own roundabout way.
For the briefest moment in time, Rin could've even sworn that there was a cheeky grin on Jasmine's face, as she proudly exclaimed which class she belonged to. Lowering her gaze onto the table, it had been a while since Rin had been proud of being part of anything at Yuuei. Letting out a soft sigh to herself, re-finding that pride and joy would be important down the line. On the subject of Jasmine esque maturity, of course there was a joyous little stab thrown her way. Muffled, grumbling, Rin let out her reply in a whispering tone that could barely be heard. Clearly, it was not meant to be heard, but Rin being the slightly awkward Raven that she was, likely spoke a few decibels too loud."...this is what one gets for caring, *grumble*, not like I am about to pass out either, thats just ridiculous, *grumble*, blondie just being mean. *grumble*" In many ways, Rin had her own childish quirks that still lingered. Complaining under her breath, was one of them. Either way, the staff found it hilarious, practically giving Rin an oh my god, so adorable stare.Jasmine, looking sheepish and apologetic for swearing. Rin complaining under her breath. The shopkeeper having somewhat of a giggle on their expense. In this little moment, they were just two school girls hanging out and having a bite to eat. Casual, normal, completely down to earth. Rin even seemed to have, momentarily, forgot about the military goons shooting stares their way. Even the military goons however, had grown a somewhat softer look. It was increasingly difficult for them to demonize the quirk wielding females, when they were just... human. Leaving the store in the same casual fashion, Rin was now addressing Jasmine directly with her complaints, even if they were still far from forceful. "Why do you have to always embarass me like this, I swear to god it's like you enjoy watching me get flustered.." Accompanied by nothing but each other and quiet bickering, they made their way to the ran down buildings. Likely something that had been used as a testing ground by the military in the past, now considered a hazard that could topple and fall over at any time. Under normal circumstances, Rin was sure there'd have been signs warning the public from simply entering. Enter at own risk! Or something down the same line. Picking her food out of the plastic bag, Rin carefully kept the paper in the plastic bag, wrapping it up a few times, and effectively creating herself somewhat of a pillow to sit on. At least it would be more comfortable than the ground itself. Groaning softly, she had barely begun studying the enchiladas - figuring out how best to approach devouring them - when Jasmine had posted her question. Turning her head to the side, her sapphire blue eyes met with Jasmine's... During this little explanation, Rin was not doing any gestures, hardly looking away. Jasmine was worried, that much was certain, so Rin would do her upmost to relay the information she had, as precisely as possible. "...Remember that shark Darren fought in a park?... Just like Thundershock, he was here, leashed by the military. They had requested me, the number one student, to showcase the training we receive at Yuuei and our strength. In the fight, the shark continued to grow in strength and general power. I had managed to wound him, so I took a blood sample. Analyzing it, there was something synthetic in the blood. Comparing it to the data of the samples I had from Yuuei's drug period, there's over an 80% match... Just, putting two and two together, something is clearly going on."

Silently, the blonde lioness resigned to simply listen to the story. She had remembered the shark villain her Aussie friend/rival/whatever the fuck had fought. It was all over social media in one way or another - Darren had actually handled the situation quite well considering the circumstances. He adhered to the rules. Or rather, he went around the rules. He didn't actually fight, only rather simply used his quirk to keep the shark occupied while authorities arrived on the scene. To be honest, though... Jasmine fully believed Darren would've been able to take the shark down by himself. The Australian fuckwit was strong - undeniably so. Sure he lacked the brainpower here and there but in terms of fighting the guy was probably just as good as she was. He lacked the experience, that was true, but his instincts were right up there.
She sighed; Yuuei rules, while they made sense for certain situations, sucked so much in the grand scheme of things. It's why she kept considering going back to being Ember. To just... shed the school, the rules, the constraints and the people who... and just take up the mask.
But that was a story for a different day.
On some level, Jasmine thought she should have given Rin just... so much shit. She had managed to get herself into trouble and... no, that wasn't an accurate assessment. Being the top student at Yuuei had gotten her into trouble, and she hadn't even breathed a word of it to the blonde lioness ever since it happened... fuck knows when it even happened. That... hurt. Then again she knew she was being a little hypocritical considering her track record. She breathed out lowly. Guess that's what Karma was all about, huh? Not the first time she decided to bite her in the ass.
Despite feeling a little shitty because of something seemingly so irrelevant - yet not as much in her own mind - Jasmine was simply glad Rin was okay. Sure, the military had been shit, personnel shit, routines shit... so much shit. The lioness herself didn't really pay it too much attention, though. She could handle it. The little Raven, on the other hand, had gone through so much crap before all of this even started Jasmine could feel her own blood starting to boil, and yet on the outside she was calm, borderline unnaturally stoic. Her eyes glazed over the sun in the horizon, her vibrant lilacs reflecting the yellow-orange-red hues of the dying sunlight. Quietly, she simply dug into her food, taking a decent bite.
The food didn't even taste as good. Funny how that worked.
She ate it anyway, savoring every bite just to recharge herself and be ready to welcome another day. Or, well, to be ready for her evening work-out routine.
"Yeah, things have been pretty jaded here," she said, still looking somewhere into the distance. Even if she was speaking, she wasn't really... there. Her mind had wandered somewhere momentarily. "These are good," she then added before taking another bite, licking off the sauce from her fingers moments later.
"How bad was it?" She asked, "the fight, I mean."

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Enchiladas wasn't something that the girl usually ate. The way this was made, there was sauce and melted cheese everywhere. Combine that with not having a plate or any utensils what so ever, and Rin was practically forced to somewhat awkwardly use the bag the food came in, to keep a decent hold of the meal. A bit of tomato on her cheek, a bit of cheese on her lips. It was clear as day how inexperienced Rin was with these meals. Between the two girls, a strange silence fell. After having explained her reasoning, her experiences, her conclusions, Jasmine had needed a few moments to think. Something that, given how hungry Rin was, she was more than willing to oblige. Sating her hunger, Rin uncapped a water bottle, swallowing several gulps, before casually licking a finger and beginning to clean herself up. When Jasmine finally spoke again, it was evident that the blonde lionness wasn't quite there in spirit. There was something else which was taking her attention away. Something Rin couldn't quite decipher or understand. Quietly scratching through her dark locks, the 1-A class president let out a soft yawn. Slightly adjusting the plastic bag that she was sitting on, Rin simply nodded. "They're pretty delicious. Very, very difficult to eat without a plate or utensils, though. I got cheese and sauce everywhere.." Rin had a fairly decent idea why Jasmine liked them, though. Enchiladas wasn't something that was common in Japan. Meixcan and American dishes were often substituted for fish. Especially Sushi was common to eat when going out. Perhaps to Jasmine, this little meal was a reminder of home. It certainly had an American vibe to Rin...The next question that followed, was how the fight with the shark had underwent. Scratching her cheek, she couldn't tell if the question came from a place of worry, or interest. It was, afterall, not often that Rin herself got into fights. Though, with orders from Darren, the martial arts head honcho, and Principal Kobayashi, Rin had been getting into more fighting related thing in the past few weeks, than she had ever bargained for. Sighing softly, Rin began explaining. "When I first encountered the shark, he didn't seem all that impressive. My blood was overpowering him, almost easily. Despite his struggling, despite using all his strength, he couldn't break free... He, uh... Tried to talk to me, after I calmed him down." That last bit, was the important thing. Realizing that whatever was going on with the beast, there was undoubtedly a human inside of there, somewhere. It had been the initial reason why Rin was so suspicious of the little scene. The military had done everything they could, to make Rin consider him nothing more than an unholy beast. Yet, as Rin had noted in the back of her mind, he was a quirk user just like herself. Did it mean that they inherently believed she was nothing more than a beast, too..?"Something changed, suddenly. The shark roared out in pain, anguish. His muscles swelled and he broke free. Any attempt of talking to me had halted." At this point, Rin slowly reached down towards her belt, so she could pull the edge of her shirt up. Just below her ribs, were several small rips in her skin. There were no blue marks or anything like that. Just skin that had been severely overstretched by some kind of impact. "As he broke free, his tail found it's way to me. This is the damage he inflicted with a single blow, through a hardened plate of my blood. If I had not had any defense ready, he might've severely hurt me. Well, worse than this scratch, anyway." Lowering the shirt back down into place, Rin let out another sigh, gently brushing a few fingers over her injury. At this point, it wasn't that bad. Right when it had been received though, simply standing on her feet had been difficult."The cage meant to keep our fight in check, clearly wasn't prepared for the amped up shark. Things quickly escalated, with thet military unable to stop it... I believe the shark escaped its confines... but the military could've caught him anywhere on the way out, and just not have told me." Rin explained. Afterall, it wasn't like the military had any obligation to share information with a school student - that despite Rin having been invited into their home for the specific purpose of having the shark's capabilities tested. That, or perhaps the full extent of the quirk drug's capabilities. With the blood sample, Rin hoped to find out the exact truth. After that, confronting the medics with overwhelming evidence ought to get them some reliable answers. "When the fight shifted... his reactions was exactly like the drug loose at Yuuei. That is why I got suspicious... That and his sudden increase in skill and strength." Given Jasmine's current state of mind, Rin was not certain how much the blonde lioness actually heard. Though, it wasn't overly important if Jasmine got all the details. Rin was as much explaining it to Jasmine, to clear out the timeline of events within her own mind. Almost as if she were talking to herself.Waiting for Jasmine to finish her food, Rin would slowly rise from her position, stretching a hand out to her roommate. Nudging her head towards the exit. "It's been a few long days, and we haven't had much chance to relax. What do you say we spend tomorrow at home?.. Massages, movies.. we haven't done anything like that in a while." Their sundays. Something they had used to have. It felt like eons ago. An entire day holed up in their little dorm room, eating unhealthy things, watching stupid shows, massaging, showering. It was one of those things that Rin easily missed. One of those things that had made it clear to her, over time, that there was no one else whom Rin could share a dorm room with anymore. It was something that had become reserved entirely for Jasmine. Rin had had the thought a couple of times. What would happen if Jasmine decided Yuuei wasn't for her. A scary thought... A thought Rin hadn't been able to find an answer to.

With masked curiosity, Jasmine listened to Rin's explanation, trying to picture the fight in her mind. She could imagine Rin inside a cage, facing that very same shark monstrosity she remembered seeing in uTube videos. Confident, standing tall, the little Raven slit through her hands with the rings Jaz had given her and used her blood manipulating quirk to fight against the much larger foe. As Rin explained, Jasmine could imagine the entire fight unfold, adding a little detail here and there to give herself a better image of the fight. Then the shark went wild, overpowering Rin momentarily. It was... it was an image that worried the lioness. But it was, at the same time, a strange type of worry.
Don't get the lioness wrong, though. She trusted Rin. Sure, the Raven was no real fighter, but the Ace of 1A firmly believed that Rin was fully capable of handling herself in a fight. That's just how potent and versatile her quirk was. Sure, she was more of a medic, and her quirk aided her with that in more ways than one. But Rin could be a fighter when she needed or wanted to be. Maybe Jasmine hasn't seen it in action yet, but something about how stubborn Rin tended to be let Jasmine know that she wouldn't take a fight laying down, especially one with such forced bullshit circumstances.
But at the same time, Jaz just... didn't want Rin to fight. While she could fight, she wasn't a fighter. She wasn't meant to be a fighter. Jasmine, on the other hand, had been through the nitty and gritty. She had learned to fight and flourished in the battlefield. She had long since accepted her role as 'the muscle' and she was totally okay with it being like that. Hell, by this point she wanted it to be like that. Yes, she was well aware that Rin wanted to draw out more of her 'feminine' side. The little Raven had, prior to that happening, tried her damndest to get the more softer sides of the lioness out into the open. But the thing was... Jasmine wasn't comfortable in those situations. It wasn't 'leaving your comfort zone,' it was more like crushing it beneath her heel. It was too much. It wasn't her. Jasmine herself wanted Rin to be that, while Jasmine would be the one to shoulder all the fights.
In a way, the lioness saw this as Rin being the shield while Jasmine herself was the spear. It probably made little sense, but it was how Ember's mind functioned. The thought process of a martyr, maybe, but it was simply who Jasmine Noir was.
At the end of it all, Jasmine simply offered a nod as she finished her food, deciding not to comment on the fight as she knew she wouldn't have anything nice to say. And there was no real point to say anything mean either - it was in the past. If Rin didn't want to tell her about it earlier that was her decision, like it or not. Instead, Jasmine focused on what followed thereafter - their Sundays. God, it really has been a while, hasn't it? With recent events, Sundays had all but disappeared from their lives. Rin had been... distant, for understandable reasons. And Jasmine had dedicated herself to changing and helping Rin along the way. They were so preoccupied with their own thing that their us time had practically become a thing of the past. And that...
...was sad.
Jasmine simply smiled as she looked up at Rin, taking her hand after having finished their food, "I think I'd like that," she said, pulling herself up, yet never letting go of Rin's hand afterwards. Instead, she intertwined her fingers with the little Raven's... a small symbol of how they were still connected despite all the bullshit.
"Think we should get some snacks?"

WORD COUNT: TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy There was a universal truth to the sentiment. Rin was, inherently, not a fighter. Not a warrior, not a protector, not a guardian. When it came to fighting, Rin was simply a person. Every person had a will to protect the ones they cared about. Every person had a will to protect and stand up for specific things, no matter the consequences. In most cases, rin would grit her teeth, swallow her pride, and avoid confrontation. There wasn't any living being, aside from psychopathic humans, that wished for confrontation. Pain, suffering, broken bodies. No one benefitted from it. However, once ideals clashed, once desires clashed, there would always be an open door for conflict. In those situations, Rin needed to be able to stand for her own ideals. Naturally, having someone like Jasmine by your side, believing in mostly the same things, assisted. Yet it was something deeper for Rin. Even being able to stand up to Jasmine, putting her foot down and demanding something... it was difficult. Difficult as it may be, it was something she needed to conquer. Rin could not continue being a naive child, letting everyone else handle her conflicts. Though, that had very little to do with why Rin had been so adamant in the fight against the shark. It was a matter of principle. A principle that Rin truly believed in. Quirk users were humans. They were to be treated like humans. Whether they had done something terrible or not, they still fell under human jurisdiction and had claim to several laws protecting said humanity. The military surrounding the shark, had completely neglected these laws. They had portrayed an inhumane injustice that was unforgiveable. Somewhere in her heart, Rin was content with the Shark having eventually escaped. Hopefully completely. Would serve those bigoted assholes right. For now though, both the blonde and the raven haired females decided that the subject was too heavy to discuss. That, and discussing what had happened in the past, when Jasmine likely knew Rin wouldn't have entered a fight without a damn good reason or because of bullshit being pulled down over her head, seemed borderline pointless. Instead, their focus shifted towards having one of their famous sundays. Smiling brightly, Rin gently nudged Jasmine with her shoulder. "You think you'd like that, huh? I know you'd like that. I can already see the lazy Jasmine revealing her content expression in the corner of your eyes~.. I've missed that look." Rin teased in a playful tone. With Jasmine on her feet, holding her hand, Rin squeezed slightly at the blonde's palm, thinking about the prospect of getting snacks. Rin was visibly excited. The prospect of picking up one of their old traditions, of taking another step towards having a regular, normal life... combined with the fact that they'd be eating snacks, watching movies, and generally creating themselves a feel good atmosphere..? Yes, yes please, sign her right up! "Oooh, we could bake waffles and have icecream! We just had dinner, right, so having a great desert seems fitting." Rin wasn't in that great standing economically anymore. The work at the maid café had been all but stopped for several months. Partly because that kind of behavior, around male customers, was difficult for Rin to do. Partly because she had been disallowed from leaving Yuuei grounds for quite a while, by the principal. The job was still there for her; They somewhat understood the situation after the music night fiasco, yet the door wouldn't be open for forever. Sighing softly, she rested her head on Jasmine's shoulder as they walked. "...Before the couch though, I could really use a warm shower. I'd imagine you'd like having one too?.. If you ask nicely, I may even throw in a massage."... On their way home, the two girls were chatting, very casually. They were getting their shopping needs sorted for the week. They sorted their showers, their preparations... All set in motion for a lazy evening and night on the couch. Rin was joyous and in a general good mood. The girl had come long way since the incident. Now, there was only one word which Rin would allow Jasmine to describe their little evening as;Perfection.
