these rapid eyes will keep on moving Class 1-B was going to finally have a quirk themed class. There were a number of minor classes before, but this one was going to be special. This was an outdoor survival training exercise. With a recent invitation from the military base Semper fi, Yuuei was offered a number of special things in an effort to understand and better integrate quirks into the military. While the students were going to become heroes rather than soldiers, the information in the exchange was going to prove valuable for the both of them. Not all hero work was int he big city. Various rescues and investigations would lead heroes out into the wilderness and it was important for students to learn how to survive out there and how to use their quirks out in the while to their advantage. Likewise, it was good for soldiers to see how quirks could help them in making base camps and moving through the wilderness while they were on a mission.
So 1-B was going to pair up with a group of privates and camp out in the woods for a weekend. The goal was to work together to survive the wilderness with nothing but themselves and their quirks. It was going to be an exciting class and everyone was to gather together in the morning to take the trip to the military base in question. It had an area reserved for just this kind of training and class 1-B had it to themselves for the time being. It was a short bus ride and quick arrival to the military base where everyone was to get off the bus and gather together before going inside. Students were expected to wear their gym uniforms, but it was likely that they were going to be given temporary uniforms to match the privates they were going to team up with.
Lani was the first one off the bus. She hopped off the final step and stretch her arms with a smile. "Mmm..." She moaned as she worked the kinks out of her lower back and shoulders. She didn't like being quiet or cramped up for too long and loved the outdoors. She preferred the beach, but this was fine with her for now. She was interested in seeing how everyone was going to work with this kind of training and how things were going to urn out. While she wanted to make a good impression with the military, what she really wanted to hear about were heroic stories from the soldiers they were going to be with. Surely they had something to tell.
Like her classmates, she was wearing her gym uniform. Unlike them, however, she didn't wear it correctly. She rolled the sleeves and pants up to expose her shins and forearms. The uniform jacket was undone and she did not wear a shirt underneath it. She, of course, wore her bra, which was a secure black sports bra to need herself snug for the physical activity they were going to get in to. She tried to expose as much of her skin as possible, mostly to keep her quirk active and powered up. It needed the light and she fed off the sunlight above them all.
After a brisk moment of hogging up space, the tall dark skin girl stepped to the side so that everyone else could get off the bus. Lani and her classmates were to form a line so that the teacher could get a headcount before they proceeded to the training ground. All in all, Lani was very excited. A wide smile never left her face and she was giddy. "That's is gonna be awesome!" She finally burst out, hopping into the air again as she reached to hug the nearest classmate close to her in celebration with one of her arms. 638 | #1-B | notes ulla Extra notes: Gonna go with a successful looking style for class topics. Masaki awoke from a deep slumber, bus rides put him out like a fed baby in a new diaper. He had almost forgotten what was going on today, class 1-B’s survival training. Now this was something he was looking forward to. While he was a book worm, he was still at U.A. to become a hero – and nothing said heroic better than the word training. Of course, Masaki had his own challenge; it was taking place in the great outdoors, outside of the city limits. It was embarrassing to admit, but this was where his quirk was at its absolute weakest. He had a similar discussion with an acquaintance recently.
I guess I jinxed myself. Masaki thought as the bus stopped. It was time to empty out the bus and he was one of the first few off. Weakly yawning, he covered his mouth. This wasn’t to say that he wasn’t excited, just exhausted – he had been stretching himself thin on a social level. Getting familiar with his peers was exhausting.
His classmate, Lani, was already out and stretching. So energetic. Masaki thought rolling his right shoulder and massaging it with his left arm. His gym clothes were in line with the other students, but clearly worn with attention to detail and sharpness – fitting his usual clean and proper style. He took his place in the line they were asked to form, but he was caught completely off guard by his bouncy classmate.
Her excitement was so contagious that her outburst of joy put a smile on Masaki's weary face. ”I don’t think I’m quite ready for that kind of energy right now.” Masaki commented before letting out another yawn. ”Give me a few more minutes.” he jested. For better or worse, the energetic attitudes of his peers at Yūei were starting to rub off on him. tag; 1-B | wc; 306

Finally, it came, it was time for the best class, Class 1B to have an entire quirk themed class. Not only that but it was survival training at the military base Semper Fi.
She had no idea what had awaited her, but she was pumped for anything. The idea of survival training with quirks, in wilderness was what mae Miku ECSTATIC!! This was her element. With her Quirk she knew she could survive, as long as there was soil and not friggin cement. Just hearin the words 'survival training' made Miku grab a bunch of plant seeds. Mostly what had fruit and vegetables. She had no idea how long this would last. But in case it drags on. She was ready. And if not she could turn any plant into a weapon if needed.
Miku wore her gym uniform, although she was not as messy as Lani, who actually sat infront of Miku in the bus. When the vehicle stopped and arrived at the destination, Lani was the first one to jump of. And then Masaki. Being competitive, she made sure to step out 3rd! he had to have that bronze!
Lani spoke how this was gonna be awesome. And Miku shared her sentiment "You bet! I'm pumped!"

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell The ride over, much like her time in class, had Nyke being completely silent. She watched the world go by through the window as they drove over to the military base that was going to serve as the training grounds for their quirks. Having a quirk training class could do her some good. She didn't use it all that often and held back a lot in that regard. her mutation alone was usually enough for her and the added strength and durability it granted her was what she used most of the time. Actually using her metal bones and devil features weren't that important to her heroing just yet. Until she finished her project for the class, Nyke didn't have anything difficult enough to fight where she needed to use her quirk.
This was also her first time doing any kind of camping exercise. She was a pampered and spoilered girl and was used to being inside with her father. He took care of her as if she were some kind of precious gem. Having her exposed to the elements wasn't something he'd allow to happen. Fortunately, Yuuei and training was the perfect excuse to get him to let it happen. Nyke wasn't outwardly excited, but she did want to see how she would fair. She wanted to see how nature held up against her quirk and how much she had to adjust to overcome it. Nyke could only assume that her classmates wanted to do the same.
When it came time to get off the bus, Nyke had to be careful. She couldn't sit near any of the wheels because of her weight. In fact, she had to sit near the middle to prevent the bus from being lopsided and causing a tumble or flat tire. It was the same for when she exited the bus. She had to do so quickly so that she didn't put too much weight on the wheel while it was parked. The small girl took quick, but careful steps and held both her arms out to hold the railing in case there was a sudden shift on the bus. And once she stepped off it, the other students still on it could feel the bus lift upward a little bit on one side as Nyke freed it from her body.
She was dressed in her school gym uniform like everyone else. She wore it securely and without any adjustments or trouble. Unlike the other students, though, Nyke had a tail. There was a loose loop present for her tail to fit through her pants so that she could stay comfortable while she did the various physical activities the hero course needed of her. She immediately noticed the energy and excitement of her other classmates. As usual, Lani was as loud and as bouncy as she usually was. She was able to rope in one of their newer classmates into her motions of joy and get the sleepy boy to wake up a bit. Nyke moved into the line next to Miku but didn't speak. She could only imagine the girl was going to have a field day out around all the trees and vegetation wherever this survival training was going to take place. @tag | 540 words | --- Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

Post by Tetsuko Shindou on Aug 29, 2018 20:49:27 GMT -4
It seemed rather rare for your typical high-school student to look forward to class, but at U.A., the circumstances were far different. It was extremely common for students to anticipate the thrilling lessons ahead, that would heighten their abilities in preparation for careers as those newfound paragons of justice and righteousness, 'Heroes'. So, it was only natural for Class 1-B to 'B' thrilled for their upcoming special class within the special military base. Though Tetsuko was skilled in swordsmanship even without the usage of her Quirk, it was nonetheless vital that she advance its usage. It was her duty to advance the Shindou name as the first Quirker of her line, and Tetsuko had every intention of doing just that.
Getting up early to take the bus into the special military camp, Tetsuko would find herself quiet and resting on the trip over. It wasn't her first foray into the camp, given the many, many attractions it had to offer, but this was the first time she'd been attending as a direct representative of U.A. From what she understood, as part of efforts to increase the exchange of information and integration with Quirkers, the camp's staff would be aiding the students in learning how to handle themselves in atypical environments. Almost all of the students’ training had been centered around urban environments so far, thus it would be interesting and beneficial to gain instruction and what to do in wilderness scenarios.
With this situation in mind, Tetsuko had boarded the bus clad in her short-sleeved tracksuit, exposing just enough skin to make effective use of her Quirk, while also keeping her shielded from the elements they’d be subject to. Tetsuko was uncertain to what extent her Quirk would be effective in a wilderness environment, but didn’t see how it might be any less effectual than in urban areas. Time would tell, she supposed, just what the limits to Tetsuko’s abilities were in different environments.
Disembarking, Tetsuko would stretch out her stiff neck as she stepped out with the rest of her class. Lani was dressed as exotically as ever, the #3 student’s energy hardly contained within her own body as she expressed her excitement for the lesson ahead. ”Woo~” Tetsuko replied sheepishly, noticing Miku had humored the girl too. Awaiting whatever instruction they might receive, Tetsuko would stand in line with the rest of her class, anticipating a fruitful and enjoyable lesson. What she had yet to anticipate, however, was that the class’ participants may well end up surprising the young swordswoman...

Grab your coat and get your hat, leave your worries on the doorstep Just direct your feet to the sunny side of the street! N/A | "Ugh..why does it have to be a military base?" | Lyric Source If it wasn't for the fact that this was a class, Mei-Lin wouldn't have even gotten within thirty meters of a military base. She didn't like the feeling of being surrounded by people who trained their abilities for the sole purpose of a symbolic flexing of Japan's power against other countries. She could understand people who decided to become heroes. That at least helped people. But Soldiers? They were meant to be pointed at the people of other countries. That helped nobody. Obviously, she knew that she was leery of the military for no good reason. But that wasn't going to change her opinion on it. They could be called the 'heroes of the old world' all they wanted to be. But the facts of the matter were that there hadn't been a war that they had needed to involve themselves in for quite some time.
Still..she wasn't going to skip class just because of where it was located. Just like everyone else in her class, she had changed into her gym uniform. However, her uniform was rather modified. Just like in the rescue classes, her uniform lacked sleeves, and had what amounted to shorts that clung to her knees, allowing her to form her blasting rocks on her limbs as she needed them, along with having gone barefoot, since she could even form them on her feet. Unlike most of the other people in her class, she had actually tried to strike up several conversations while riding to the military base, if only to keep herself distracted from the fact that they were going to be surrounded by soldiers.
Unfortunately, she seemed to be the only one that needed that kind of distraction. So by the time they had actually neared the base, Mei-Lin had actually quieted down quite a bit. However, once they started making the line, Mei-Lin couldn't help but find herself grinning as well, bouncing back and forth on her heels as she tried to keep herself contained. Sure, they were on a military base..but they were here for the purposes of bettering themselves as heroes in training. Honestly though..she would have to be careful with her quirk out in the wilderness. The explosive nature of her quirk was very likely to end up starting a fire, after all.
And yet, that wasn't what Mei-Lin was focused on. When several of her classmates shared Lani's sentiment that this was going to be fun, Mei-Lin had to join in, ending up all but parroting what Miku had to say while it was being said. She didn't like the fact that they were being watched by the military..but she could still get excited for a proper class, with proper training.

This was his first day and already Rawlin was sent to a survival training thing nearly a few hours after unpacking and meeting a few people. He didn't exactly have time to meet many others or do what he wanted for this training. Problem was everyone was required to wear their gym outfits and Rawlin never had one. The reason was simply because he forgot to pack the one his mother got for him. It figures the one thing he did forget was something so important even though the school sent it to him via the mail to his parents house. So as he paced onto the bus with his regular clothing that consisted of a black T-Shirt with a blue jean jacket over it. Blue jean pants and black and white shoes then of course his black finger-less gloves he always wore.
Rawlin did get more than a few stares because he wasn't wearing a gym uniform but he just smiled and waved it off and headed to his seat then sat down. The bus ride was long and rather boring as he soon fell asleep on the side of the window. Snoozing a bit made him fall into dream land until after what felt like an hour he felt a sudden stop as the bus seemed to be at its destination. Waking up and stretching his arms upward he eased out of his seat and paced outside of the bus to get some stretches in.
"Ahh. That was a nice nap!" Rawlin declared as he made sure to get the right amount of movement back into his body so he could wake up. Sure he forgot to bring his gym uniform but his own clothes could work just fine right? "So what are we going to do first?" he would ask really no one in general as he flashed a big toothy smile in excitement.

Been a while huh? Arata Hayashi was back on the case. Back in black. In the flesh. Right back where he belonged, goofing off with his class of students. He had been on an unannounced hiatus for his own reasons, but he had recently come back. And the first thing he was back for was to not only join his class in a survivalist training exercise out in the wilderness, but to introduce a new student with him.
In the car, driving there himself, rather than riding with everyone else, he wanted to surprise the class with his visit, and drop off the new person, Elise. While in the car, he looked over at her, "So, tell me a little about yourself? I don't normally associate with people outside of Class-B"
They could continue to talk, but upon arrival, he parked the car, and got himself out of the door, stretching his arms out behind himself, twisting to the left and right, cracking his back several times. After which, he would get the door for Elise, and head his way up to the meeting ground where everyone else was gathering. Not only was he here to surprise them, but give this girl quite the introduction!
"Class One B! It is great to see you guys again! What have you all been up to? You ready for today's lesson? It's great to be back! I'm fine, no need to worry. Totally okay. ANyways, I got someone new here for all of you to meet, Her name is ELise, and as of today, she's going to be one of your fellow 1-B class mates! Make sure she feels welcome." He was a little out of his element here, he was used to technology, but, at least he could get away from his problems at home out here.

Post by Elise Von Eisenberg on Sept 3, 2018 0:59:16 GMT -4
Finally, it was time, time for her first class within the hero course. She had done her utmost to ensure her transfer had been kept a secret from most of the students, after all, she truly wanted to surprise Tetsuko with the fact that from today onward she would be a part of the B-class within the hero course. Nonetheless, she had to admit that a tiny part of her was rather nervous about her transfer into this new class, at the very least in the way she had. As a student belonging to the General Studies course most would assume she had a Quirk ill-suited for combat, and they weren't entirely wrong at that either. Her quirk was a supportive one, and as such one wouldn't be surprised if she was to be underestimated. However, that wasn't exactly the reason for her nervousness, in fact, she couldn't care at all about whether they thought she was weak and ill-suited for the hero course, she simply had to prove them wrong. No, the reason behind her nervousness was the social situation she had found herself in. Considering the school year had already been several months in Elise couldn't disregard the fact that it was likely that the class as a whole had already bonded as a group, formed into cliques of its own, and that made her in layman terms: An outsider. Fortunately, she knew at least two people in the course, Miku Hanabira was someone she knew to be in the B-course, after all even if they had only talked properly in person once she had a fairly positive opinion of the girl, especially judging from the things she heard from her childhood friend.
Speaking of that childhood friend, her beloved Tetsuko, her lover and the sunshine in her life was a part of this class, and that might have been the reason she felt just as much excitement as she felt nervousness. To finally be able to be in the same class as Tetsuko... Luckily Touma saw the merit in her being in the same class as Tetsuko, and god be praised that he was willing to pull some strings to get her to transfer into the class she wanted due to his influence as the Principal.
Speaking of said principal, she would have to thank him later with another watermelon when it was another break for the school year. She still remembered as if it was yesterday, their conversation about firearms and combat drones while they were casually eating a watermelon, it was such a joyous period, one that briefly allowed her to forget the shadows that clouded her heart in the wake of the loss of her parents.
Nonetheless, as she gazed outside the window of the vehicle Elise pondered silently about the nature of the class she would be attending. It seemed the Rescue Ops teacher wanted to hold a survival training, something that likely raised the eyebrows of plenty of the students, in the end, a training of that nature was more meant for the army rather than a hero student, but if one took a moment to consider things more carefully it would quickly make sense. Not only would certain assignments cause them to leave the safety and comfort of the city in favor for forests, mountains or sometimes even snowy landscapes one could say that in those conditions reinforcements or rescue efforts would take time, and as such being able to survive and manage within the wilderness would be essential.
A hand raised to her chin tapping it lightly as she pondered about the choice of using a specialized terrain at the military demonstration for this exercise. It made sense, but at the same time she couldn't help but wonder if it was truly smart to mix the hero students with privates of the army. From what she saw and heard there was a sharp divide between those who favored the idea of getting to acknowledge people with Quirks and consider them a boon to their endeavors, and then there were those who considered them quite literally walking, living and breathing shitstains. What group would the privates of this exercise belong to? Would they be the type to accept the next generation of heroes, or would they succumb to prejudging and make this camp a living hell for both sides?
Beep beep boop, a sound came from her lap, where to her amusement she saw her trustworthy combat drone, the To-Dro having just finished recharging and its green light flashing lightly as it's AI was seemingly woken from its slumber. Of course, she had brought her drone along, considering it was a survival training it would be an excellent opportunity for her to use the drone to try to see if it could navigate properly in dense areas like forests which were full of obstacles like trees and branches and the like and Kobayashi would get direct feedback of her performance.
But that wasn't the only mysterious thing the girl carried with her, a black case rested beneath the drone, the only noticeable features of it being the golden K, the bronze & symbol and finally the silver VE, the initials forming KVE, it was unlikely anyone would know what was inside the case, and Elise hoped to keep it that way for the time being. However, there might have been a case where she would be forced to use it, an emergency situation. Fortunately, the only way to open the case was through a very advanced system connected through the GoPro camera that was attached to her, which was connected to a remote unlocking device connected to Kobayashi's phone in case of an emergency. If at any point her life would be in danger the system would unlock the case, but who knew what might have been inside it?
However, it seemed her thoughts would soon be brought back to reality as the driver next to her, who surprisingly enough was actually her homeroom teacher addressed her! "Ah right~ I'm sorry, I was lost thinking about the upcoming lesson." Elise answered with a brief smile as she brushed aside some of the locks that covered her eyes and looked at the man. "As you might recall from Kobayashi-sensei's message my name is Elise, Elise Von Eisenberg. The drone is called To-Dro, he is going to be recording my progress during the camp so that sensei can give me feedback once it's over~" She paused for a moment, thinking about where to proceed with her introduction next before she continued her explanation. "I transferred to Yūei Kōkō about a bit more than a month ago after learning I would be able to gain a more expansive curriculum here, and with a childhood friend of mine going here the temptation to transfer was rather strong. But that doesn't explain why someone like me, who once wanted to just be a doctor would transfer into your class, right Hayashi-sensei?"
A momentary pause followed as she turned her gaze away from him toward the window, and while it might had looked like she was simply observing the scenery she was hoping to hide the frown on the dark shadow that was cast upon her expression, the smile that seemed to hide something much more sinister than the softness of her voice. "Do you recall the recent attack on Tokyo's Hospital? My parents were among the victims... That night is the reason I transferred: I want to become strong and master the skills a hero needs so I can prevent others from suffering the same pain I had to go through."
No matter the cost...
However, as she turned back to him she couldn't help but find her smile growing more genuine once more as she added with a playful hum. "Of course, it also helps that my girlfriend is among your students~ But don't worry, I'll make certain our relationship won't interfere with the lessons~" At least she had to make sure she was in a positive mood again by the time they arrived at the area the class would be held at.
Finally, they had arrived, and after she was helped out of the vehicle by the teacher she was just in time to see the students had gathered at the camp. A final glimpse was made at the man at her side, as they approached the group, trying her utmost to remain calm as she waited for her chance to properly introduce herself to the class. When finally given permission to speak she would state in a soft and gentle tone.
"My name is Elise von Eisenberg, formerly of General Studies. Although I might have to chase in your footsteps for a while to catch up with you all, I hope there will be a day when you can consider me a part of your class." Her gaze turned toward one of the students in particular, a certain iron-blooded lass who was given a brief glimpse and the faintest hint of a curve of her lips as she bowed lightly. "I will be looking forward to learning alongside you all."

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ This was the worst case scenario. One of the things Kyla disliked most int he world. It was a camping trip! At least, that was how Kyla saw it. It was a trip to a military base for outdoor survival training. They were meant to see how'd they do in the outdoors, which meant camping. Kyla was not that kind of girl. Wilderness and Kyla did not like each other and stayed as far away from each other as possible. The outdoors had no computers or prepared foods, or even toilets. Why would anyone want to go out there? Kyla liked the idea of being an urban hero more. Being around the city and civilization was what she preferred. However, helping others meant that she wasn't always going to be able to do what she liked. Kyla had to go where she was needed and that meant even going out into the wilderness. She was going to be a hero and heroes did what they could to help everyone. That was their mission and if this training helped her with that, she was just going to have to do it. Even if she disliked the outdoors the way she did. The bus ride over was spent mostly in silence with the girl. She was looking out the window watching the city and civilization slowly disappear as they came to the military base. They were all dressed in their gym uniforms, which had become standard for all their training activities. Kyla's uniform was recently modified after a few classes where she had trouble getting her nodes out. Because some of them were set on her back, she needed her back open so that she didn't cut or tear her uniform when she summoned her Nasod Spears. It now had a low cut dip with both her shirt and the back of the uniform jacket. It cut just under her shoulder blades so that her four diamond-shaped nodes on her back could be seen. They were shaped in a squished cross formation, almost as if they were wings. Showing off that much of her back could be a little embarrassing, but Kyla was also a girl with very long hair. It covered it up and allowed her to keep her back hidden while still using her nodes. It was a lot easier to move them through her hair than it was through two layers of clothing. Once the bus stopped, Kyla took a deep breath and shook her head a bit. This was it. She was about to lose contact with the modernized world and take part in this camping nonsense. The girl was visibly distraught, at least as much as she could be. Her expression didn't really ever change, but her Nasod Core always betrayed her lack of ability to emote. At the moment it was showing a static screen as Kyla stepped off the bus and into the line formed by the other students. Fortunately, her mind could be distracted from the coming training with the arrival of a new student. It was a transfer from the General Studies class into their class. "Hello there," Kyla spoke up, greeting her and waving her over to join them in line. ”

Outside of the window while Kogami was in the back seat, his headphones would play some soothing music as he wondered how his next survival trip was going to go. Of course, Kogami would have his phone, he needed some kind of way to communicate with others if things were to go wrong. However, there was a good chance that they would have no sort of cell phone signal while being out there. But the good news was the fact that Kogami had a few apps that he downloaded on his phone that could be of use. The first one was a flashlight and another example of the essential compass that was needed in case he ever got lost. Either way, Kogami felt that the bus was leading to a stop and started to get up and stretch.
He saw that Miku and Kyla were there, two people that he was already associated with. Maybe there was a chance that the other people he never really got to talk to in 1b would mesh well with him. "Oh, almost forgot!" If there was anything that Kogami couldn't forget, it was a pocket full of candy bars and a hero weekly magazine. He needed some good reading material anyway.
After getting out and lining up, Kogami held the magazine to the side.
