Yes, the lack of cybernetic connection on someone who pretty much thrived on it made Kanna clueless about a fair number of things... She couldn't connect to her friends online, browse the deep web for secrets, or even keep up with the usual news... Thankfully, she could still tell the time easily enough just by looking at the sun's position, estimating it to be around 8PM. Yes, defenitely time to have dinner by now, especially once both of them finished cleaning out their rifles. Risaka didn't keep her waiting long and thus this allowed the two to return to the cabin together, as opposed to one at a time. Food was food though, and nobody on their right mind would ever call this a handout.
They had to beat the Colonel at every turn to get it. Now Kanna's real difficulty was finding herself a discreet place where she could sit and eat in peace without the constant babbling of others getting all too loud, preventing her from hearing herself think. She hated that, yet another thing she clearly had in common with the gray girl, and thus, she appreciated the girl leaving her alone to her meal without needing to be told so, merely retreating into the girl's bedrooms. Smart... Might be way easier to fall asleep first, by yourself, without having to deal with random people going in and out of the room. Meanwhile, the tattooed blonde instead focused on grabbing a healthy serving of food and took her seat at the corner of one table, no less than two seats away from everyone else... Best she could get really, but as for the food. She winced, nose crooking at the first taste, remembering how terrible a flavor she'd grown to expect around here. Thankfully, the food hit the spot well enough on her malnourished body, easily enough to keep that going if it did little to allay her perpetual frustration. She ate far faster than any of the other girls though, so exhausted from her earlier endurance run even her hands became a blur, messily scarfing down food and gulping in water until steady trickles dripped from her mouth: "Aahhh...", she sighed contently, glad to have relieved her hunger as she laid back in her char and pat her visibly pudgy tummy, having eaten a whole day's worth of food in one sitting, "How hungry you gotta be for food this bad to hit the spot like this..." After this indulgent musing though, she got up from her seat, went to the bathroom to brush her teeth, bathe, and change into a fresh set of panties. Silenty, she'd step inside the dorms and find only Risaka there: "Already sleeping huh...? Lucker...", she mused silently, not really knowing whether she was already out of it or simply pretending to. No matter. With only one craving left on her exhausted body, she'd climbed up the stairs onto the top bunk over Risaka's; normally a dangerous place for the blonde to be. Not only did she snore like a bear - far too much noise for a woman so small - she also rolled around and sprawled herself out like a cat, which made falling off the bunk a very real, very threatening hazard... Not that she cared much as her eyes fluttered shut. ... They'd have a whole new day to contend with this morning, with whole new challenges to face. And hopefully a chance to finally stick it to the man once and for all. After the two days they just had though, Kanna wouldn't get up so easily though. She snored peacefully into the morning, even with the sunlight peering through the cracks in the window... Risaka would have likely suffered the most resting directly under Kanna, and if she still happened to look around for the tattooed blonde, she could easily spot the woman's left arm dangling outside the edge of her bunk, that telltalle tattoo on her wrist leaving absolutely no doubt to her identity. Clearly, Kanan wouldn't lose any sleep over her annoyance at the Colonel, over her constant desire to beat him at whatever game he threw at her. Like that whole thing was natural to her, as if she'd been fighting as such her whole life. That or she simply liked sleeping and really, really hated mornings... But she'd get up eventually, after all, such is life on the military boot camp.

A good start of a morning could only last so long until it felt like a dragging dog. Being slightly impatient Risaka already peeked out of the door, yet to wear her uniform for today's agenda, and if she had to guess they would move to a new checkpoint which likely was the last one. The bear snoring from Kanna eventually got to the gray girl, turning her face back to the bunk bed at the sloppy sleeper. Seeing the sunlight slowly getting to Kanna's position Risaka waited until the blondie woke up. Putting on the jacket with her eyes glued to Kanna's sunrise. ''Good morning cave bear, lucky for you that I am practically impossible to get woken up.'' With a snarky comment Risaka gave a sleazy wave to the blondie gal before stepping out of the bedroom to prepare whatever was on Colonel's agenda, it was around this time rest of the girls also began to wake up, especially when Colonel was outside of the cabin holding a bell and a hammer, non-stop bell ringing.
''AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL-RIGHT SISSIES! WAKEY WAKEY UP! IT'S TIME FOR OUR LAST CHECKPOINT! LAST DAY TO PROVE YOURSELVES FOR ONCE!''
It wasn't something pleasent for Risaka to hear first when stepping out of the cabin. When she thought she was used to the loud tone the Colonel just had to turn the volume up. Her ears rang a bit and hurt a bit. ''Ungh, fucking be less loudmouthed baffoon...'' Colonel stopped his bell ringing and gave Risaka an ugly eye. ''Precious, I'll make sure you won't be speaking with such a greasy attitude, NOW GET BACK INSIDE AND GET YOUR BACKPACK!'' She could only roll her eyes with an outmost annoyed expression, lazily walking back inside to pack in whatever she had remaining. Soon being the first to walk out of the cabin with the backpack ready, the damn backpack filled with such a large useless amount of stuff. It quickly got her into a moody attitude, with ehr gloomy expression and dappy eyes she only showed one emotion, anger.
All the girls was standing in a line according to the Colonel's desire, yet another agony filled march for god how long. From the looks of it the third day likely was the hottest one yet. With no rain during the night the atmosphere was dry, the sun flashing it's mighty heat down without anyclouds blocking it. She felt her skin sting a bit, being naturally pale did not serve well for summer times plus with a heavy backpack grinding against both her shoulders and back. ''Well well, guess we're back to square one, but this time with no rain...'' Seemingly speaking out loud on her own, but at this point she was half expecting Kanna to be nearby her position in the moving group, the blondie seemed to have a tendency to be around the gray girl.
''Just keep on moving sissies! We aint even halfway there! Yesterday was a complete disaster so I will amek ALL OF YOU feel the ultimate wrath every soldier has to go through!'' ''As if you haven't already tried, such empty words of fear.'' Thinking to herself collected she didn't try to focus on what could happen but rather keep her eyes on any possible route for her to make the Colonel lose his shit. Maybe taunt him plentiful? Make him trip several times? Or maybe call him out into a dare? She needed to sue the Colonel's massive ego and pride against him, put him in the spotlight and make the most out of it. Planning her scheme against the Colonel was no breeze, she had to give a proper reason for him to accept a fist fight without him sending her into yet another torture task. But if he did she simply just had to go for it, there's no way she'd let him hide behind his priviliges forever. She looked over at Kanna, the blonde gal was just the right person, she probably knew how to put someone's worth to test. If Risaka could get in a plan along with Kanna this should be a cakewalk. ''Hey, Kanna... I think I know how to get our revenge, but I think it can only work with your help... You seem to know how to get what you want, let's get the shitty Colonel into an official training spar, where we can knock him the fuck out... because if I try he might just send me into another shitty military exercise...''

Yeah, she obviously needed sleep after yesterday's absolutely insane night, not to mention the day before where she hadn't even so much slept as she'd been completely knocked out cold. The sun didn't so much as stir the blonde's messy slumber, nor did Risaka's initial attempts at waking her up. She'd need to stir Kanna a fair bit to finally have a chance at rousing the girl from her loud slumber, prompting a single jade green eye to open and look hazily into the gray girl's: "Hmmm, huh...", mumbled the sleepy Kanna, finally awake enough to reply, somewhat confused by that dumb conversation on bears this early in the morning, "The fuck you talkin' about... Ugh... What time is it?" Lazy and sluggishly though, she realized daybreak herealded impending shouting from that boisterous idiot, and knew she really wasn't looking forward to yet another rude awakening. Having slept topless, Kanna could simply go over to the fresh pile of uniforms and pick one out, calmly slipping her legs through the holes, pulling the whole thing over her body and around her neck. Finally, she'd pull up her shaggy blonde hair into that trademark ponytail and reluctantly stepping outside the dormitories. First things first, his loudness made her wince very quickly: "Uzeee.... Way too loud this early in the morning.", she grumbled, scratching her head, and yet that lazy, low tone was effortlessly defeaned out by the much louder male. Kanna couldn't help but yawn at the usual flurry of insults and platitudes, she'd heard them all before and didn't really expect anything new anymore. Hopefully they'd still get a chance to eat breakfast. Honestly, the chance to "prove herself" hardly excited her at all, not when she'd been doing that exact same thing this whole time. Once more, they were stuck picking up those extra heavy backpacks. Reluctant but resolutely, Kanna too went over to fetch her own, scarcely bothering to say anything. Why would she bother at this point? Really all she did now was really look at the Colonel and wonder when he'd make the mistake of actually challenge her to a bout where she may prove the kind of undeniable, irrefutable superiority he had no way of refusing. He had them all stand in line as usual, carrying those extra heavy backpacks... Kanna had some time to recover and yet not nearly long enough, and at the same time... She'd carried this backpack so much time that she'd all but acclimated to its weight. So no breakfast today huh...? They'd be doing the warrior's diet apparently... Not even the first time Kanna did it herself, and perhaps somewhat antecipating that possibility drove her to eat extra last night. She'd get hungry, defenitely, but she could deal with this whole thing easily: "That's better than nothing but still... Maybe we can provoke him to do something stupid.", indeed the two girls often wound up close by, and today had been no exception. She'd grown used to recognizing Risaka's voice. When the Colonel issued his threats once more, Kanna merely sighed, "Sounds like you've been trying to show us that all this time... But we're still here." Yes at this point, they really needed the guy to actually throw a good enough challenge at them... But it couldn't be a dare or anything of the sort... No with a guy like this, they'd have to make him issue a challenge of his own making. "Y'know, that just happened to be one of my ideas.", replied the blonde, raising an eyebrow as she shot the gray girl an interested look. That said, simply calling him out into a fight wouldn't work, he'd find some way of subverting their plan just to spite them... No they needed something else entirely, a kind of setting, "For now, let's see what's the first dumb demand he throws at us. Odds are we can get our way if we call him out on it."
They had to stay one step ahead of this guy, which fortunately wasn't hard. Kanna already knew he'd likely find a way of denying an straighforward, outright challenge, so they'd go along with yet another weighted marathon, just to see how long it would take for the golden chance to present itself. She watched her prey like a hawk, eyes narrowed, watching his every move for the signs of weakness that would make him pliable to their demands...

How swell of the blondie to get along with Risaka's thought process. Simply challenging the brute wouldn't do any good, so seeing Kanna being on the same page as Risaka gave that small hope inside of her grow at least three or four times bigger. Gripping the straps on her backpack harder, with each step on the dried rough ground Risaka made sure to walk right by Kanna to keep their conversation as hidden among the crowd, if the Colonel would be aware of the two girl's partnership he'd surely combine both previous days into one single task just to see them suffer. Gritting her teeth to endure the last portion of the marching was taking more effort than she thought, her sleep must've taken most of what the berries from yesterday served. She assumed that the march wouldn't be too long, considering today was the last day and they had to get back to the civilisation.
That got her thinking of how much she truly missed her boring bland lifestyle, a comfortable bed and hot black coffee sets her mood right up. Being all the way out in the wilderness with nothing but an empty stomach and sore shoulders and feet. Just when she thought it was the end for her and her will she got a sudden flinching sensation from the Colonel's loud words. It made her head jolt up a bit, but not because of his tone but because of her wish to just stop carrying this damn backpack. In her head she was pleading for him to inform them about the upcoming checkpoint, was it close or not?
''Hah hah! You all look so slow and sloppy, no wonder it has been a disaster up to this point! We are close so you better not fall down on the ground just yet! Or else I will personally kick you all into the campsite!''
Never has Risaka been this eager for a damn campsite, at very least she could see the end of this torture in the horizon and likely not too far away. And would he truly kick her rest of the way if she straight up flopped down? Surely it had a tempting side considering she just wanted to lay unconcious and take the beating. Alas she just ended up waling almost like a zombie the last stretch of distance before falling down on her butt. Rest of the girls also were on the verge of just falling apart, Risaka did wonder how Kanna held it up, the sun didn't seem to go any easier on the group. She rubbed her shoulders and felt around how stiff and sore they were, she definitely would need some cold showers when she got home.
The campsite itself wasn't anything more interesting, this time around there was only one cabin with a large firepit with benches around it. There seemed to be a sprinting course going around the place. A lackluster of a place for a final checkpoint, but it was certain Colonel wasn't relying the threat to be in sight, hiding his weapons to strike them when they at least expect it. This felt like war, a battle that she had to strategies to survive, and surpass the Colonel to show him even young girls with Quirks can defeat great threats, hopefully it wouldn't become a daily thing for Risaka when becoming a hero of course.
You have been travelling far, and you have been probably thinking all of this will be over soon, BUT I DISAGREE! You all sissies won't be leaving this place until you prove yourself! I don't think ANY of you bunch of weakling could ever do a real serving for the army! I have been barely scrapping the surface of it all! This is what quirks do to people, makes them more soft!''
''Psssh, what an insecure fool.'' Shaking her head the gray girl stood up and dropped her backpack, this time around it was simply too much, but she did feel the end was close, the right moment to get back at him and prove herself to be superior, truly a feeling she deeply desired to achieve. The Colonel went to the middle of the campsite and pointed forward and drags his finger around 360 degrees. ''The track around this campsite, 20 laps or die falling! If you don't do the 20 laps you won't be even close to get done here!'' She frowned from his choice of words, would he really keep them here if they didn't succeed? Held as prisoners? Probably just a bunch of his scare tactis, she got used to them and honestly tired of his methods, he was truly in need for a knuckle sandwhich right at his kisser.

She didn't know how to feel about her soreness, about her body growing all too accustomed to moving around under the incredible strain piled up over the past couple of days. In time, it would inevitably prove beneficial to her fitness, but now, she knew she needed far more mental energy to simply keep herself on the move as such, making up for her weakened energy with willpower. She couldn't falter now, show any sign of weakness until they had a chance to stand up to the Colonel for good. Perhaps showing weakness might lull him into a false sense of security, but Kanna didn't really want that, and she was pretty sure Risaka wouldn't either. Both of them were just too proud for such a shallow victory. Yes, Kanna too missed her wifi connection, and after today she'd most certainly coop herself up indoors for a day or two and simply roll around the web, see what had happened in the meantime, maybe find some really powerful company to hack and vent some of her frustration at people in power. Maybe she could actually target some military contract... If nothing else, she'd defenitely grab a shooting game and butcher a couple noobs, while doubting even that would do much to help her frustration. No, the army had caused it, so she'd need to relieve it at the army's expense. As she marched through the muddy wilderness with that backpack, Kanna noted she'd been growing used to its weight, like it had somewhat become a part of her. "As if you fucking dared...", grumbled Kanna, missing not a single heartbeat as the early morning exercise helped her work up a good sweat right from the get go, yet after all this time this wasn't nearly enough to properly bring her down. Even though she was tired and couldn't stop thinking about the end of this three day course from hell, something else gave her the strength she needed... Not to simply walk out of her, but walk out triumphantly, even though every step came so heavily she wondered just how she managed to keep marching through all this. She didn't look any worse for wear than the remaining girls, yet not much better either, panting as she crouched down, catching her breath, scarcely realizing the extent of her exhaustion until after they'd reached the end. Kanna ran a hand over her forehead, wiping off the bulk of the sweat. She took a moment to examine the final campsite, noting the tracks around it suggesting the final regimen to revolve around cardio exercise. Kanna took note of the benches around the fireplace, already suggesting they'd at least have food sometime later... Either that or the Colonel just planned on cruelly torturing them with the notion until they broke... Not that it would happen or anything, but at least the guy had enough brain matter to understand people can't actually exercise like this without at least getting some nourishment. Go figure... "So much for proving ourselves... We've doing that same shit for the last two days.", shrugged Kanna, shaking her head and sighing. She made it loud enough for the Colonel to hear this time, looking back at him with those determined eyes of someone who knew exactly how this challenge would end. She'd beaten it twice already, "Ain't really original now huh...?" She didn't actually know if the Colonel was indeed planning to make them used those tracks, but clearly suspected it. When the guy finally confirmed her suspicions, she merely sighed once again. Him flauting his insecurity against people with Quirks only made him sadder, and only made her far more eager to prove her strength without using her Quirk... Not that she could use her Quirk here even if she wanted to, but still...

Well there was nothing more she could think of nor try to say, if she had to do those twenty laps to show that sucker his methods ain't working then she will do so, afterall, after this course he will not have any more power over her. Just thinking about being free from that brute's shitty commands was quite the juicy thought, Kanna was giving the Colonel the exact same look as the gray girl so she was very certain the blondie was ready for the breakthrough. When the group of girls dropped their backpacks to start the last cardio exercise Risaka could only feel something was off, like a rotten apple in a basket just lurking beneath, but she wouldn't stand around and speculate, the faster she finished these 20 tracks the better. A quick stretch to her legs to get the sore feeling in her body to go away just for a bit. ''Only twenty laps? The course itself doesn't look that long, but something tells me it will be more than just running...'' Finishing the minor preperations the gray girl took position close to the start of the tracks along with the many girls.
Some even whined before starting running, they were simply not posessing that strong will that Risaka or Kanna had. They ahd sloppy running, their legs acted like spaghetti with arms not properly in motion. Risaka, as the stubborn girl she is did not let her tired state make her do sloppy movements, she wanted to get this done. If this was a casual gym class back at school she'd be more lazy than a panda bear failing to climb two stair steps. Her legs moved with the wind, it felt nice, the breeze from being able to move faster without a rock attached to her back was something she'd once more appreciate. The track was rough and bumpy, it wasn't really a good place for full on sprint, but if she focused on where her feet landed she could get some decent speed, although once in a while she had to jump over small pits, those pits looked like to be freshly dug up. ''Huh... did he really prepare these kind of things to tire us out even more?'' Jumping over more and more pits she eventually did an entire lap, a couple was infront, those with obvious speed enhancing quirks, while Risaka did indeed have an opportunity to get faster she simply saw no reason to spend her precious quirk time on laps that wasn't even a race.
While everyone was going at it with the laps, the Colonel stood there with his hands behind his back with a most devious smirk, he watched the girls do the laps in peace with his mind filled with excitement. ''This is a perfect opportunity to break them once and for all, finally I'll show the authorities that quirk users are not fit for the force, they didn't believe me but not this time, I assure you all that.'' With a small chuckle he let his cap down from his head, it was the 5th round for the girls, he had tkane off his jacket and tucked his sleeves up. He was now just waiting for the right moment, the moment where he'd put a full stop on these girls with a surprise. Stepping close to the end of the course, watching them go even slightly slower from start. They were tired, Risaka was dreading from the dry feeling. Her eyes was slowly closing and opening due to her sleepy backdraw. If she used her quirk in such a state she'd likely go straight to sleep. With her guts only she forced now each step to be as effective as possible, hesitating just one second could make her be unable to finish the rest.
''10 more laps, 10 more laps... come on.'' Mentally encouraging herself the gray girl was now halfway through the 20 laps. She has lost track how far the ones with speed enhancement got and she had no idea where Kanna was at among the running girls. Here she thought the marching made her drenched in sweat, but ust from running so much she was literally completely wet from her body fluids. Her breathing was heavy and grasping greedily for air, her muscles all pained her greatly, but she was unable to put any focus on the pain, once she was in motion with a clear goal with an even clearer motivation she would not drop so easily. She wanted to turn her head back to watch the ones behind her, she could hear many running steps, but when in a state of simply wanting to die it was hard for her to put any form of energy on something else. All she could do was to run, and once in a while she would run past a few girls who has fallen to the pain, on the ground panting frantically. ''Sheesh, such lack of will, no wonder so many of you fall behind so quickly...'' With her judgemental mindset she could barely care less what happened to these girls, they had it easy compared to her. But it was finally nearing the end, only 3 more laps, and with so many laps done she was getting used to the rough terrain, she has even memorized the best route to step over the many pits.

Honestly, she didn't really know how much more could they show this idiot his methods only really worked on even bigger idiots who actually joined the army and subjected themselves to them on a permanent basis. Not that Kanna or any of these girls were exactly smart for getting themselves roped into this shit, but comparatively it didn't even feel so bad. Twenty laps huh... They could do that with one hand tied behind their back, especially after dropping the backpack... "Never thought I'd love feeling this light, not this much...", said the blonde, her panting easing away as she rolled her shoulders and stretched her arms, counteracting the stiffness built up from carrying it around this whole time. She walked up to the start line alongside the other girls; on this solo exercise, it's not like she and Risaka had any reason sticking close. The gray girl and many of the others had Quirks to rely on, whereas the blonde had only one option. Trust her mind, body and soul to push through whatever challenges presented themselves before her. No, Kanna didn't whine or complain, or even utter a single word. Calm and focus to beat back her exhaustion, she took her position and darted off. Yeah, her legs felt like they might give out at any second. She felt completely drained, with not nearly enough time between exercises to recover from the Colonel's grueling exercises on top of his sadistic punishement. She'd be feeling the aftermath of these three days for a long time after this and yet... She still forced her way forward. The lack of added weight made this only slightly easier, but it defenitely allowed Kanna to move a bit faster, feel the refreshing wind caressing her cheeks, keeping her whole body fresh as she built up momentum. At the first obstacle she'd lower her body and finally push off, gritting her teeth as she focused as much strength as she could through those numb legs, and launched herself over the first pit, and then the one after that. A bad landing or poor jump could early lead to breaking her leg, or at the very least taking a severe enough injury to make any further running completely impossible. In her mind, Kanna saw only herself and the track before her, all the laps she had yet to run with a fierce look in her eyes. Every so often she'd look at the Colonel - merely standing around the track like he owned the place - grinning like an idiot, probably wondering if more of the same might finally break these girls. It certainly had broken some, but most of them (Kanna and Risaka included) still mustered up the strength to keep going. Where they drew that power from was up to them, to most a secret they'd seldom share with all but the closest of people. Kanna's pure, unadultered desire to never lose, the independence and insubmissiveness she took so much pride in - as well as a pet hatred for abusive older males - gave her all the energy she needed to keep going past the tenth lap, even if panted harder with every round and her body felt increasingly sluggish. She hadn't lost yet...! She could deal with the aftermaths of this abuse on her ill prepared body tomorrow, perhaps stay in bed, unable to get up. Today though... Today she needed more, everything she could: "Not... Enough...", she panted, exhausted but resolute, "More...!" She hadn't beaten him yet! She cared very little about any of the other girls now, Risaka included. They still saw each other every so often, but scarcely paid any real attention, for as the laps passed them by, they'd hardly be able to process anything beyond this growing exhaustion, their inability to actually move their bodies again if they were ever to stop. They moved forward not so much as automatons, but rather zombies, sparing only a single thought for how many laps they had left... Five... Four... Three... Two... One... Almost there...! Until finally: "TWENTY!!", cried out the blonde, a triumphant, but visibly weakened shout as she fell on her knees almost immediately, hands gripping the ground as sweat dripped down from her hair and body in steady streams...

Risaka had fallen right near Kanna, it wasn't more than mere seconds that Risaka got to the twentieth lap after Kanna. Her sight was blurry so she couldn't properly see that Kanna had beaten her, but she simply couldn't care less about others, she had her thoughts about the fact she just finished the laps. It truly felt like a victory to her, but yet very so disatisfied. The Colonel truly wouldn't have the girls only do mere cardio as a final task, there was more. With that in mind Risaka did not get on the ground with her back nor knees, she stood her ground and panted with her head low. Just feeling the muscles now throbbing from all the long lasting painful sessions. All three days adding up got to her more than she thought, she easily did more exercise than any normal human being could do, and most people even took one day breaks inbetween those sessions. Three days straight definitely left a big impression on her, but only did she go through this because of that vile man. Cracking her neck from left to right before rolling her head 360 around a couple of times to ease the neck muscles. Minor crack noises popped from her body with her expression gloomy yet determined.
''There is definitely more, I can feel his grin and eyes poking at me and the rest, throughout the entire cardio course he must've definitely expected us to get through it...'' While she made her guesses plenty of other girls arrived to the final lap, but many more still yet to finish it. The sky was finally having a few more clouds, enough clouds to give temporary moments where the sun did not toast the earth. But man was it annoying to have 10 other girls around her gasping and panting for air all drenched up in sweat. It sounded like she was in a shelter filled with dogs, what a nuisance indeed. With her body finally properly getting the oxygen flowing in and out her senses cleared back to normal. Her eyes quickly drifted to Kanna who was right infront of her, staring down at her equally drenched attire. ''Looks like you got through them all aswell huh..''
But with little to no time for chit chat the Colonel took the initiative to roar out his words to the worn out girls. ''WAH HAH AHAHA! YOU BUNCH'O SISSIES! Only half of you finished the twenty laps! It's true I promised you all to be done with this game once finishing those laps, HOWEVER, from day one, the moment I saw every single one of you, I saw only disappointments! One big single large mass of disappointment! If one fails ALL FAIL!'' Usually he wouldn't show much jolly nature when roaring out, but he had a large grin with sharp eyes at the girls, almost as if he has snapped. Risaka had quite the opposite expression, a big frown to his ideology of how things worked around here. Huffing out the gray girl crossed her arms while hearing the small whines and grunts from the rest of the girls, the Colonel has taken it officially too far, the moment felt right though, it was the perfect moment to finally reel in with a juicy bait.
He stomped her left foot forward with his right fist raised infront of his chest, anyone at the scene could tell that this large brute had gone clearly insane, he was lusting for trades of punches. ''Whu- what are you on about? Have you gone insa-'' ''NO WAY SISSY! I am done with waiting! You brats with quirks think you're so great but clearly you simply can't keep up with how us REAL fighters do it! Hero? HAH! No one can be a hero from having fairy powers, I'LL BEAT ALL OF YOU DOWN TO MAKE SURE YOU ALL REMEMBER HOW THE REAL WORLD WORKS!'' Risaka was a tiny bit frightened with his current mentality, with ehr fists clenched her inner rage was flaring up, she could only imagine how good it would feel to plant a powerful fist against his jawline. Looking to the side at Kanna with a nod of readiness. Risaka's eyes gave a slight spark within the iris, she nodded and was most definitely up for whatever Kanna wanted to do.

"The two most powerful warriors are patience and time." These words guided Kanna up until now, urging her not to take any rash action that would precipitate her defeat. Not that who got first really mattered to Kanna, the opponent she had eyes on wasn't any of these girls to begin with. She took a good while to notice as one by one they all fell down on their knees somewhat near her, nor did she really care... Not that she expected any of the others to really care about her, not even Risaka who she'd spent quite a great deal of time with these past few days. No, when Kanna singled out an opponent to defeat, a goal to overcome... Every fiber of her being primed itself on achieving that objective without anybody's help. She made her plans as such, even should she have willing allies. She'd find a way to best use their abilities to make her plans even smoother, but never in a way they'd completely fail should her they betray her prediction. Favoring reaction over antecipation, Kanna merely saw multiple roads to victory and constantly pursued the swiftest as the flow of battle hinted: "No way I'd drop dead now... Still got something I need to do.", she'd reply to the familiar voice, panting heavily, yet slowly catching her breath Yeah, of course there'd be more... So long as even a single one of the Quirk wielding girls stood firm, she knew this guy would conjure whatever he needed until he saw them in a submissive, collapsed mess, broken upon the ground. So she looked not the slightest bit surprised by his initial words, wondering if she'd really just have to keep her body moving until the guy's throat gave out from all his screaming. "The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting." Kanna had no doubt in her mind the Colonel would go for that kind of victory, the one, he'd been gunning for since this grueling training. She no longer cared about the man or his ideology, not like she did earlier throughout this hellish course. Nah, at this point in time, all she really wanted to do was claim her victory. And antecipating an enemy with the modicum of strategic intelligence went a long way. But as he continued speaking, another piece of wisdom from the art of war popped into her mind. "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win." Challenging them to a fight now, after this draining cardio exercise. Finally... Fucking finally. As she heard those words, all of Kanna's exhaustion mattered little. On some level, all this time she felt as if she'd been saving some of her energy, refusing to yield until she finally gave this dumbass a piece of her mind. And now she'd finally have her chance. Her lips widened into a triumphant grin. He'd finally gone and did it, challenged them to the one drill she could finally take the fight to him. He assumed he already had them, that they already stood defeated. "Ahh, I see now. That's why you had us run around... What's the matter, big army hardass can't take a bunch of girls at full strength?", the blonde struggled to her feet, turning and facing the man as her legs trembled weakly. At the same time, both anger and amusement flashed on her face as she grinned and shouted, "Who's the fucking sissy now, huh? HUH??" "If your enemy is of choleric temper, irritate him." With this last quote firmly engraved in her mind, Kanna eyed her foe resolutely like a mere obstacle she'd overcome, sooner or later, regardless of his hatred of Quirkers. Instead of showing fear, she grinned determinedly, the look of someone who felt she'd already won despite the miserable condition she clearly found herself in: "And i'll tell ya more... I don't even need my fucking Quirk to deal with you.", she stated, a bold, exhausted taunt. On some level, Kanna was perfectly capable of feigning a far greater exhaustion than she currently felt. Her arms trembled as she raised a martial artists' southpaw guard, leading with her right leg. Though she could steady them, it would drain far too much of her leftover energy. No, she needed to preserve it for the right moment.

When in a battle if mights one shall never let a golden opportunity wither away due to hesiation, deny yourself one moment and you might give the opposite side the very same chance. Risaka felt a strong sense of duty to defeat this man, not by anyone nor someone superior, this was her own choice, which in reality is something unlike of the gray girl ever since her childhood. She never felt the sense of having to finish something, not until the three day session. The large wooden wall, the fight against hunger, and now defeating the Colonel, all and every single of them was a small ambition she never in her life would imagine to do, with her attitude to both life and living being down in a pit. At first she thought her starting in a hero school would ignite those ambitions of hers, but that only made her wanting to get it done over with. She didn't wanna be here anymore, it made her eager, impatient with all this crap, the Colonel was finally pushing her to the very edge of her very stretched limit.
Kanna's quotes, Risaka heard every single of them, she could relate with Kanna's current desire, her words and tone all was crystal clear to the gray girl. Even if Risaka just wanted to dash right at the man, she trusted the blonde gal. Risaka already wanted her help to begin with. What would Kanna do? Was she gonna be reckless? And what about rest of the girls? Her left eye peered behind her to only see most of them backing off with frightened expression, not that Risaka could blame them, the Colonel was giving off a rather wicked attitude, something a villain would do. The girls behind both Kanna and Risaka weren't even from Yuuei nor had a strong will to take up such role. It made Risaka sad just seeing those who wouldn't help her nor Kanna were all bunch of chickens, luckily Risaka didn't have to beat down the Colonel for their sake, what happened to them afterwards was another story she'd skip.
She even gave a small snort from Kanna's snarky loud comment, it was truly like her, only seeing her with a mild attitude past two days felt unatural for Risaka, Kanna was a wild girl that needed to be wild. ''You tell him blondie, hiding behind a tough look with a scaredy cat deep within..'' From both commenting at the Colonel's cheap tricks and methods truly got him to pop one or two veins on his forehead, his teeth gritting like stone bricks. At that very moment only two of them stood their ground against the tall brute, Risaka hated to admit it, but the Colonel had a mighty scary appearance, specially with an angered expression and towering body. It felt like she was facing a titan about to stomp her down into the rough ground and grind her lifeless body for hours. But it was a mere feeling and she cared very little to such stuff, because holy hell was she ready to take down this man with all her might. While letting Kanna attract the Colonel's full attention Risaka's eyed flared up lively topax yellow colour as an indication of her starting her quirk. Stepping back to reach two girls near her. Placing her palm firmly at them she quickly asborbed their entire colour scheme, one for each arm of her. They gave a confused look at the gray girl for touching their chests, but soon enough freaking out from being monochrome. ''UWAH! W-WHY AM I SO GRAY?!'' ''EEK GIVE BACK MY COLOURS!''
Risaka sighed from their reactions, obnoxious overly panicky attitude easily grinded her gears. Turning one eye to them as she was showing an outmost ugly glare at both of them. ''Shut the fuck up you shitheads...'' With such a menacing tone made both the girls back off farther without telling another word. It was good time to get her quirk into full action, not just some tame use like she did to top the wooden wall, this time around she planned to give an earth shattering strike to make up everything he has done and said. The Colonel getting even more ill tempered from Kanna's good snarky words. His face was practically turning red like a tomato, his eyes getting red veiny texture around the edges. Her last comment was simply too good of a bait for him to not latch on, a direct challenge or possibly a dare? A pridefull bastard like him could never turn it down, especially when he was thirsty for blood, thirsty for both Kanna and Risaka's fall.
His breath was heavy, stunning and powerful, not from exhaustion or anything like that, he was gathering up his thoughts, his mentality could be bursting any moment not into a raging emotion. Worst part about this was the fact he could be doing anything, who knew, maybe he could pull up a gun? But that'd be against his own words, maybe he'll charge at them with killing intent? All the likely possibilities was, well, possible due to his unpredictable behaviour. Rubbing her hands together she made sure the colours in her two arms was mixed to give her a nice powerful strenght enhancement. Looking at Kanna with her Southpaw stance. ''Well, guess you truly did bait him in, never seen such an angry loudmouth... '' As much Risaka wanted to chit chat with Kanna a bit more the large brute roared out in anger with his fists clenches, his biceps tightening and his chest expanding. ''YOU TWO WILL REGRET LIVING! DAMN FAIRIES RUINING OUR SOCIETY!''

"Pretend inferiority and encourage his arrogance." Even as she taunted him, all of this stenuous exercises made it all too easy to not only anger the man buy goad him into easing his guard. With Risaka poised to join her, Kanna didn't even mind it, she too looked almost as exhausted as Kanna, even after using her Quirk on two whining girls to recover some of that strength. She spared but a cursory glance at the girl, a knowing look as she used that ability to recover some strength. With the Colonel well and truly furious, now they'd have to seize the reins of the fight. Waiting too long would probably push the raging bull to attack, and the blonde didn't want that...
"We got him right where we want him. Now or never!", she told her only teammate. Kanna had to take the reins of this fight, steer her foe where she wanted him. And thus, she charged. Seeing the attack, the furious man all but grinned, as if appreciating her being kind enough to give him the chance to prove the overwhelming difference between them without trying to hard. As she reached closer and pulled her fist back though, sparks suddenly flied off around her forearm and the man's eyes widened: Kanna had only said those boisterous words to lull her foe into a fall sense of security, and the Colonel grinned, as if seeing through a childish trick. Of course a filthy Quirker couldn't do anything with their fairy magic, however could she even dream of convincing him otherwise. Seeing her charge and telegraphing the sluggish haymaker seemed all too easy for him, whose anger seemed to ebb into a moment of pure gloating: "Stupid girl, you'll regret thinking you could fool me!!!", boasted the man, grinning all happily for someone who had an opponent charging right at him. Moving only at the last possible moment was hardly a bad idea, Kanna did that often enough. Yet always with the intention of taking away her foe's reaction time, and not merely underestimate her opponent as this guy did now.
This made him wary of touching her though - as if he felt he might get electrocuted otherwise - and instead try to make her exhaust herself entirely. But him underestimating him only helped her plans; the blonde looked weak and dazed, breath heavy and panting, as if moving a single muscle took over a second of effort. But that's exactly what Kanna wanted him to think. He did not know her Quirk, he had no way of knowing those sparks could never even make his skin itch, let alone actually hurt him. So when she got close enough to throw her haymaker and watch him grin as he leaned his body away, she couldn't help but return the grin as he laughed boisteriously: "Bahahaha, you'll have to try harder than that if y-!" He wouldn't get a chance to finish this sentence. Having completely dropped his guard in the face of a sluggish Quirker, he immediately assumed her to be unable to actually hit him with her electrified fist. Big mistake. Focusing so intently on that fist, while completely assuming her to be completely exhausted. Predictably, her back wasn't into that weak punch, she scarcely had the strength for it. But Kanna clearly still had all the power she needed to move in for the kill. "Quickness is the essence in war" A battle of attrition truly was the worst case scenario. Kanna could either defeat her foe immediately, or both her and Risaka would inevitably get steamrolled once the Colonel got his guard up once more. But he wouldn't have his chance. With a weak feint to lull the man into a lazy sway away from her punch, she immediately followed up, kicking off with her rear foot. Lifting her lead knee up, she'd grit her teeth and mercilessly drive it between her enemy's legs. Even with her weakened body, an exposive knee to the nuts would knock anybody down, no matter how strong. And when the Colonel's eyes went wide, he understood how he himself was no exception, not after falling victim to a double feint as such: "Where are you looking at? Didn't I tell you I wouldn't use my Quirk? ", scoffed the blonde, barely helping a grin as the guy keeled over and brought his knees together, eyes wide as both hands shielded his family jewels. Too little too late, yet this kind of payback thrilled the blonde far more than she'd even admit, and she'd acknowledge it as a somewhat fair tradeoff. Sighing, she shook her head with mockery, "Can't even understand simple words huh... That's what you get for having muscles for brains." She almost laughed through the heaving exhaustion, an endless barrage of insults adding to the injury of getting hit in the family jewels by one of the girls he'd been shitting on for three years "You biiiitch...!", he groaned all too weakly for once, his gruff voice hilariouslu higher in pitch, enough to make it all the suffering she went through almost worth it. Almost, she really wasn't that masochistic as to enjoy being bossed around by a smug army prick. Which made it all too enjoyable to finally watch him bow down before her once more, Kanna and Risaka, the only two who actually had the stones to stick it up to him. If she followed suit after Kanna as the blonde expected she might, she'd have a very good chance to land in her own hit. Should she feel the girl get closer, Kanna would step aside, leaving a wide open way for her to finish their opponent.

Post by Risaka Reinacht on Sept 22, 2018 20:16:49 GMT -4
With the way of things are going Risaka was only able to expect a rather rough ending, the entire set up, if you can even call it one, was nothing to praise. It was all in all a very improvised process, luckily the Colonel did the hardest part, being very narrow minded. At first Risaka didn't think it could even possibly be within her and Kanna's reach, but once a domino effect began there was very little the Colonel could do, with both his pride and ideal put in danger he could only obey to the effect. Cracking her knuckles and neck she let the strenght enhancing wave flow through her upper body, it felt nice, if there was one thing she could at very least rely on anytime, anywhere, it'd be her troublesome Quirk. Her arms was flowing with the different colours both the girls possessed, it was a good mix so she only could wield strenght boost, she had to be quick to make sure her strike lands and not get countered by the big brute.
Watching Kanna go forth without hesitation made Risaka slightly get worried for her, but it was naive of the gray girl to think the blonde gal would be someone who acted before thinking. The sparks of her hand had the intimidating look, was she an electricity user? It was just before she noticed it was a feint, no wonder the blondie charged right at the Colonel, confidence is the best mask for deception. Risaka wanted to follow up to assist the blonde, but after only taking two steps she saw the Colonel hesitating from the electricity, but at the same time he wanted to just barge at her quickly. It was truly sad, here Risaka was expecting a more tactical side from the brute man, but he was mostly moving based on pure emotions, which was something easy to confront. Kanna took that chance and had a clear goal, Risaka taking notice of this knew that Kanna was only going for a quick distractive hit. Her leg went swiftly up at the Colonel's groin, a powerful enough to make a man like him to buckle down with ease, such a pained expression gave Risaka a pleased small grin.
''I didn't think about that... but than again, I'd get zero satisfaction from a mere groinshot!'' With the Colonel now crouched low from the dirty hit from Kanna Risaka finally took the chance to do her part. She slid her left foot forward for a swift dash forward, not the fastest in the world just from how tired her body is, but her arms was fully fresh and filled with the needed strenght. Once she got near enough the Colonel, Kanna stepping aside quick enough for Risaka to get right infront of the brute. All of this happened so fast, but within the gray girl's head it was going slow, time was stretching and every fiber in her body was moving sluggishly, like as if several hundreds of kilos pulling down at her body, but that made her fist feel even stronger. With a motion where she twists her upperbody in a 180 swing upwards the gray girl clenched her fist with whatever left of will she had within her. It was acting like a rocket emerging from the ground, in a blazing fiery thrust she delivered an earth shattering uppercut right at the Colonel's jaw. The fist seemingly crushed his face inwards from the sudden impact, within the very few seconds of the uppercut Risaka spent mentally whole 10 seconds just to press her fist harder and harder upwards until finally blowing a stone cracking strike through the Colonel's stance. His head sprung backwards, his mouth spilling out saliva with his eyes blank, a most definitive knock out, one that Risaka very likely will feel in many years. His body fell backwards and struck down at the ground as if she had just cut down the biggest tree in the forest, she might've aswell done something like that considering how much power her fist had behind it.
She stood there for a couple of seconds with her fist still in the air after the uppercut, even when she wanted to lower her fist she simply could not force herself to do that. Her body was locked, under a great amount of physical trauma. Her breathing was low but hard, all the girls in the ground just stood there with quite the frightened expressions after seeing the gray girl serving such a devastating strike, and Risaka wouldn't blame them for thinking she might've gone a bit overboard, she did afterall use her quirk. ''Kanna might've promised to not use her quirk, but I sure as hell did not promise such shit...'' Speaking to the knocked out Colonel she finally was able to twitch her muscles into motion, getting her arm down and spits at the man down at the ground as final act, from that point she couldn't care less about him nor his words, she was done and so was the rest. Turning her attention to Kanna she only bothered to give a nod, not even a smile or a gesture of victory. ''Guess that's taken care of... But I wonder, how long will he stay unconcious? Hopefully not too long, I wanna get home already...'' She took a moment to stare back at the other girls, they all looked so confused, nowhere to go nor anyone to listen to, but Risaka want that changed. ''Why are you all standing around and doing nothing? We don't have to listen to the moron anymore, go free or whatever.'' Risaka shrugged but shed some light to the girls for what the current situation was, there was nothing left for them to do, so in other words, another long walk, luckily last one, and Risaka was willing to go by herself out of the forest and back into the city. Picking her backpack, but this time emptying it of anything worthless, such as stone weight and whatnot. Strapping it firmly to her back and shoulders. ''If I remember correctly, the way back to the city was south, if only I had some sort of GPS or fancy device thingy...''

Patience truly paid off, if either Kanna or Risaka had any doubts on the matter, they'd have faded the moment they saw the Colonel very openly giving them the very chance they'd been looking for all this time. Well, the blonde most defenitely did, Risaka might have downright assaulted him at any given point in time if not for the hacker urging her otherwise. For her, using her Quirk or not mattered little on the grand scheme of things, for she saw this conflict as nothing more than a simple clash of pride and will: One military man's prejudice driven desire to prove himself superior to Quirkers, versus a teenage girls' desire not to put up with that bullshit ever again, to prove how Quirk or no Quirk, a simple minded idiot like him had nothing on her. Thus when she charged, Kanna had indeed planned for much of what would happen next, yet she could never go as far as try to antecipate her more skilled opponent's movements or anything of the sort. Having a clearly defined strategy was one thing, with several ideas of where she could steer her enemy into checkmate. But once they two actually stared each other down and fought, the blonde abandoned all notions of prediction, instead reacting to what she saw as quick and decisively as possible. That way, she managed to claim victory, or at least, leave her foe in a position where Risaka could get her own hit in: "Knock yourself out.", she shrugged, yet the sadistic grin on her face made it all to clear the blonde would enjoy watching just about anything the equally vicious Risaka could throw at this piece of shit. Her ponytail fluttered about as the hasty gray girl breezed past her, crouching low and finally rising for a thunderous uppercut that made even the blonde wince ever so slightly. Ouch... That's gonna leave a mark. Good. Maybe next time he'll think twice before trying to bully 'helpless' teenage girls, confident he'd be able to beat them all up without any of them doing anything about it. As the Colonel flew up into the air, and finally fell right down with a 'thud' like a piece of overripe fruitt, Kanna wiped the dust and dirt off her hands with a decisive, satisfied look, concluding this three year battle against the moronic Colonel, "Well, that takes care of that..." Still, it took finally defeating their foe for the blonde to actually realize just how fucking exhausted she felt after this whole thing. Her legs trembled weakly, barely allowing her to stay upright... She'd been fighting her lack of energy this whole time, perhaps more so than the Colonel himself, and she'd drained whatever last bit of her energy remaining right there, in those sudden moves employed to defeat him. "Oh no, I'm sure he gets that.", teased the blonde, scoffing at her defeated opponent, "Or, he would if he was conscious~ Well done."
With these scornful words, she approached Risaka and stretched her fist out smirking in a rare opportunity to let her teammate bump it. They may barely know each other, with Risaka being far more distant than even Kanna... But pressed with their backs against the wall against a dangerous foe, both knew to put aside their solitary nature and fight together... And now they knew someone whose power they could rely on should they ever have no choice but to fight together once more. Kanna didn't really mind this, and didn't really feel she completely trusted Risaka yet. But at the same time, she defenitely trusted her a fair bit more than most people, and more importantly, truster her understanding of how the girl thought.
That was good enough...
"Well, since our instructor fell unconscious at the last exercise, this means we can go home.", noted the blonde, shrugging. Scratching her arm at the thought of getting her hand on her phone once more, she realized just how long she'd been off line, and on some level lauded herself for having pulled it off. She'd probably stay cooped up indoors for the following days, not only to recover but also to take care of her cyber addiction. She'd come packing light, not really bringing anything she needed to carry home, so when Risaka moved to grab her stuff, Kanna followed suit, scarcely looking at the other girls who didn't think for a second to stand up to that idiot. No guts whatsoever... Sighing and shaking her head, she turned to the gray girl, "Don't need a GPS for something so simple... Can't you remember the path you took to get here?" Raising an eyebrow, she eyed the girl almost incredulously, one hand on her hip. How could she forget such an easy path...? Then again, Kanna often failed to grasp how someone without eiditic memory had to deal with, well... An average memory. "Well, if you hurry, I can just show you the way.", she stated, no nonsense and down to business as ever. She wouldn't wait around for Risa, but she didn't mind her company and thus could easily show her the way back home. Regardless, she'd soon make her way outside of this unpleasant place, heading towards the comfort of her own home. Even though they'd won in the end, Kanna wouldn't forget about her experience here anytime soon, about the military's treatment of Quirkers in general, with the Colonel providing the furthest reaching example. It didn't take alot for Risaka to easily forget her sense of direction, she only knew basic methods on how to find the desired directions, but then again she was not used to the ocean of trees, she was alot more accustomed to the civilised part of the world by a long shot. Which was a sad thing for Risaka truly, she was never one to be with nature and thus making it already difficult for her to appreciate even the most common things to see in the wilderness. Living in a gray world with a gray view on life is already bad enough for her to shut her own enjoyment inside a prison cell. Truly she did not allow a whole lot to get the best of her interest, instead she was more dedicated to things that directly benefited her. Such as finding those berries back at the second checkpoint, she still remember the fresh taste of it as if it was jsut a minute ago. It was easy for her to think about those rare yet satisfying moments she was able to muster up from this hell of a journey,
Just knowing they were done and finally able to walk away without a second thought lifted probably a couple of tonds of kgs off from Risaka's chest. What both Kanna and her did back there was almost too good, they were sort of in harmony for a slight moment, a small space of time where they coordinated accordingly with eachother to get the maximum result. Risaka did feel like she got to take the biggest bite of the cake, that powerful hit at the Colonel's jaw was impressive, even from her own standards. One could say that Risaka bested herself today.''He fell like an overgrown tree, the old fuck of a geezer can rot there for a day or two for all I care, but something tells me that his colleagues from the base will find hm there, hopefully my fist taught him a thing or two about not overstepping with his priviliges.'' Said Risaka with a slightly satisfied tone, although she did not wanna be celebratve, she wanted to think of this as a well deserved time to head back home for a week or two, but then it hits her again that she still had school... so much for the vacation idea, no rest for the wicked.
''I guess you're more adapted to the world huh? Who would've thought, guess you are really different than me-'' Swinging her arms a bit, feeling her tense and stiff body slowly getting more eased up, however her fist that powed the sucker with an uppercut still tingled from the impact, her bare knuckles really felt his jawbone and the pressure it gave to his entire body and soul. It was hard to ignore, but it wasn't the first time Risaka has thrown a knocker at someone, but this time it was definitely the most passionate she's ever done, such rage and anger. Walking now away from the place with Kanna on her side it was a somewhat relaxing trip, for once they didn't have to go to a place without being forced to march like braindead troops. And the blissful feeling of not having to hear the Colonel's loud voice, she didn't notice it at first, but it was rather calm, soothing, to just hear the wind breeze past her body and ears. Maybe now she could appreciate nature, it was certainly more than welcome to cool her head down after the hectic moment back at the camp.
Following by Kanna's side Risaka took the time to reflect back at the moments they had. it was sort of weird and not something she expected to do, but she was comfortable with seeing back at how Kanna and her tackled each situation, coincidentally they were side by side every single time. It was almost fate, and not the cliche kind. She especially remembered when they both were met with the wooden wall, the split second of being at the top and barely being able to see Kanna, but she knew the blondie was up there, both of them achieved it together, in which resulted a harsh fall down at the ground. Risaka oddly did not mind the fall, at that time she was caught by her own effort being put into those torturous exercises. She wished she could enjoy those moments with more time, but with the asshat of a Colonel breathing down their necks it was kinda hard to do just about anything, heck, even breathing somewhat odd could've been enough for the brute to eye at. Even know just thinking about the man she just knocked the fuck out still angered her, but she held it back and looked to the side to take a proper glimpse of her equally sweaty and dirty body. Which reminded Risaka, that she really needed a bath, an hour long one, maybe two hours would do, and also, a damn fine coffee to just hit the spot. Which reminds the gray girl, that she still owes Kanna that damn single cup of coffee.
